In its poll campaign, the BJP raised the slogan ‘Acche Din’. They used this slogan throughout the poll campaign. BJP leaders were involved in a tussle on who coined this slogan. Now that Narendra Singh Tomar, an Union Minister, says that BJP never promised anything like this and never used it, then what to say. When Amit Shah said that depositing Rs 15 lakh in the account was a poll gimmick, the BJP is still clarifying on this till date. Now what Narendra Tomar has said, will be used as a tool by the Opposition to attack the party which will find it difficult to clarify.

Onion prices have risen due to hoardings and shortfall in cultivation of the crop. If the government takes action against hoarding, then prices are expected to fall. Government is importing onions to meet the demand. To de-motivate export, prices have been raised. There will be repercussions. But this is a fact that onions are bringing down tears from people’s eyes. Onion theft is being reported now. Yesterday, around 750kgs of onions were stolen from a shop. Now police is on a lookout for the thieves.

The whole world knows that Dawood Ibrahim stays in Pakistan but he has invested his blackmoney in Dubai. He has businesses worth crores there. If the UAE govt restricts his businesses, seals his properties, then he would lose his spy line. This will be a major achievement for India, pressure would build on Dawood.

It has come to light that unofficially the students and authorities have come to an understanding. Except Gajendra Chauhan, all other members will be removed and new members will be appointed at the consent of the students. But the students want it in written from the authorities which has led to a stalemate.

BJP won 8 out of 10 seats in Madhya Pradesh local body polls, the Congress could manage only one seat. The results were also evident in Rajasthan. Even after this debacle, if the Congress bursts crackers and celebrates, it comes as a surprise.

Ravi Shankar Prasad may say that the special package of Rs 1.25 lakh crores given by PM Modi to Bihar is not politically motivated but this will be a major issue for the BJP in the poll bound state. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar will try their best to counter this.

It looks like Pakistan cancelled the Commonwealth parliamentary conference under pressure because many countries other than India have also expressed their concerns. Actually, Jammu and Kashmir Speaker was being invited in all the previous conferences. Pakistan quietly participated in all the conferences. But this time the conference was to be held in Islamabad. If Jammu and Kashmir’s Speaker was to be invited there, it would have created a problem for Nawaz Sharif. He had to answer many questions. Hence, this issue was raised.

One thing is clear, Pakistan uses Hurriyat leaders whenever it needs. Due to its internal politics, it is important for Pakistan to raise Kashmir issue. There is pressure on Nawaz Sharif from the Army. This is why Hurriyat leaders are used to raise the issue of Kashmir publicly. Hurriyat leaders are familiar to this but they fear to raise their voice.

There’s nothing wrong in FTII director’s decision to expel students enrolled since 2008, who have even failed to submit their project so far. However, if the government had not appointed a chairman, who is not acceptable to students, then there would not have been any controversy and his decision were welcomed by all.

21-year-old Hardik Patel managed to gather four lakh people in Surat and claims to gather another 20 lakh to join his rally in Ahmedabad. Patel community MPs of both BJP and Congress are with this young man. His popularity is going northward with every passing day. He rose the issue which appeals to the people and that is why he is a major cause of concern for the Government.
