हावड़ा में हिंसा: ममता, बीजेपी आमने-सामने
पश्चिम बंगाल के हावड़ा के शिबपुर में गुरुवार को रामनवमी जुलूस के दौरान और बाद में शुक्रवार जो हिंसा हुई वह निंदनीय है। इस मामले में कुल 36 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। यहां एक मस्जिद से जुलूस पर पथराव किया गया और उपद्रवी तत्वों ने कई गाड़ियों को जला दिया। इस दौरान उपद्रवियों ने दुकानों में तोड़-फोड़ भी की। रामनवमी के मौके पर विश्व हिंदू परिषद सहित चार हिंदू संगठनों की तरफ से जुलूस निकाला गया। हिंदू संगठनों द्वारा जुलूस निकालने से पहले पुलिस की अनुमति भी ली गई थी। पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने आरोप लगाया कि इस झड़प के पीछे बीजेपी और विश्व हिंदू परिषद का हाथ है। भाजपा नेता शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने दावा किया कि रामनवमी पर निकाली जा रही शोभायात्राओं में एक करोड़ से ज्यादा रामभक्तों ने हिस्सा लिया। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि ममता बनर्जी मुस्लिम तुष्टिकरण के लिए हिन्दुओं को धमका रही हैं। ये बात तो सही है कि ममता के रूख को लेकर पश्चिम बंगाल के हिन्दुओं के मन में आशंकाएं हैं। बीजेपी इसीलिए इस मुद्दे को तूल दे रही है। पिछले चार साल से बंगाल में बीजेपी लगातार हिन्दू पर्व और त्योहारों को बड़े पैमाने पर मानने की कोशिश करती है और ममता हर बार सख्त रुख दिखाती हैं। हर बार कोई न कोई गड़बड़ी होती है। तीन साल पहले ममता ने रामनवमी और हनुमान जयंती के मौके पर शोभायात्रा निकालने पर पाबंदी लगा दी थी। फिर दुर्गापूजा के वक्त मूर्ति विसर्जन रोक दिया गया था क्योंकि उसी दिन मुहर्रम था। और अब रामनवमी से पहले जब बीजेपी ने शोभायात्राएं निकालने का ऐलान कर दिया तो ममता ने ये कह दिया कि शोभायात्राएं निकालो लेकिन मुस्लिम इलाकों में मत जाना क्योंकि रमजान का महीना चल रहा है। हिंदू संगठनों ने कहा कि नवरात्रि के कारण वो भी उपवास कर रहे हैं।उनकी धार्मिक भावनाओं की क्यों उपेक्षा की गई? अब बीजेपी इसे मुद्दा बनाएगी। ममता जानती हैं कि बीजेपी के इस रुख से उन्हें राजनीतिक नुकसान होगा। इसीलिए ममता अब डैमज कन्ट्रोल की कोशिश कर रही हैं और कह रही है कि उन पुलिस वालों पर एक्शन होगा जिन्होंने संवेदनशील इलाकों में रामनवमी के मौके पर शोभायात्रा की इजाजत दी।
रामनवमी हिंसा : षड्यंत्रकारियों को पकड़ो
रामनवमी के दौरान महाराष्ट्र के छत्रपति संभाजीनगर (औरंगाबाद) और जलगांव में हिंसा की घटनाएं हुईं। छत्रपति संभाजी नगर के किराडपुरा इलाके में दो गुटों में मारपीट और पथराव की घटना सामने आई है। पुलिस फायरिंग में घायल एक युवक की गुरुवार रात मौत हो गई। झड़प के दौरान सोलह पुलिसकर्मी घायल हो गए। इस दौरान उपद्रवियों ने कई प्राइवेट और पुलिस वाहनों को जला दिया। संभाजी नगर से AIMIM नेता इम्तियाज जलील सांसद हैं। घटना के थोड़ी देर के बाद इम्तियाज जलील मौके पर पहुंच गए। इम्तियाज मंदिर के अंदर गए और फिर वहीं बैठे रहे। उन्होंने मंदिर को उपद्रवियों द्वारा आग लगाने से रोका। जलगांव में एक मस्जिद के सामने से रामनवमी जुलूस के गुजरने पर उस पर पथराव शुरू हो गया। इस मामले में पुलिस ने 56 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। नमाज के दौरान साउंड सिस्टम के इस्तेमाल को लेकर भी झड़प हुई। पथराव में कई वाहनों को नुकसान पहुंचा। गुजरात के वडोदरा में रामनवमी के जुलूस के दौरान हुई झड़प के बाद 24 पत्थरबाजों को हिरासत में लिया गया। दिल्ली में हिन्दू संगठनों ने जहांगीरपुरी इलाके में रामनवमी की शोभायात्रा निकालने की तैयारी की थी। लेकिन पुलिस ने 5 किलोमीटर की जगह सिर्फ 200 मीटर तक ही जुलूस निकालने की इजाजत दी और माहौल को शांत किया। दिल्ली पुलिस ने समझदारी दिखाई। लोगों ने भी पुलिस की बात मानी और कोई गड़बड़ी नहीं हुई। लेकिन सवाल ये है कि पश्चिम बंगाल, महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात के उन इलाकों में हिसा क्यों हुई जो मुस्लिम बहुल हैं ? जब हर साल इन इलाकों से शोभायात्राएं शान्तिपूर्ण तरीके से निकलती हैं तो इस बार ही हमला क्यों किया गया? क्या कोई साजिश थी? इसके पीछे कौन लोग हैं? उनके इरादे क्या हैं? इसकी पूरी जांच होनी चाहिए। क्योंकि अभी रामनवमी के दौरान हिन्दू संगठनों की शोभायात्राओं पर पथराव किया गया। रामजान चल रहे हैं और अप्रीम में ईद आने वाली है। अगर इस मुबारक मौके पर भी गड़बड़ी हुई तो देश का माहौल खराब होगा। इसलिए पुलिस को जल्दी से जल्दी माहौल खराब करने वालों पकड़कर सख्त एक्शन लेना चाहिए। क्योंकि इस तरह के लोग किसी मजहब को नहीं मानते हैं। ये लोग समाज के दुश्मन हैं। देश की शान्ति के लिए खतरा हैं। इसलिए ऐसे लोगों के खिलाफ उसी तरह के एक्शन की जरूरत है जैसा उत्तर प्रदेश में लिया गया। यूपी में भी पहले रामनवमी, हनुमान जयंती, दुर्गापूजा और मुहर्रम जैसे मौकों पर हंगामा होता था लेकिन गुरुवार को यूपी में हजारों शोभायात्राएं निकलीं और कहीं से भी एक भी पत्थर चलने की खबर नहीं आई। जिस वक्त महाराष्ट्र और पश्चिम बंगाल में हंगामा हो रहा था उस वक्त योगी आदित्यनाथ गोरखपुर में निश्चिंत होकर मां भगवती की पूजा कर रहे थे और अयोध्या में लाखों भक्त रामलला के दर्शन कर रहे थे।
कश्मीरियों ने धूमधाम से मनाई रामनवमी
रामनवमी का सबसे अच्छा दृश्य श्रीनगर में देखने को मिला। सैकड़ों कश्मीरी पंडितों और इस्कॉन के श्रद्धालुओं ने ‘जय श्री राम’ और ‘हरे राम, हरे कृष्ण’ के जयकारों के बीच हब्बा कदल स्थित राम मंदिर से लाल चौक तक रामनवमी जुलूस निकाला। शोभायात्रा में बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय लोग शामिल हुए। शोभायात्रा के दौरान कई बच्चों औऱ नौजवानों ने रामायण के अलग-अलग किरदारों का रूप धरा था। इनका कहना है कि कुछ साल पहले तक तो ये सोचा भी नहीं जा सकता था कि कश्मीर में इस तरह की शोभायात्रा निकलेगी लेकिन अब ऐसा हो रहा है और इसमें शामिल होकर वो बहुत खुश हैं। इन्होंने कहा कि अब आगे भी कश्मीर की फिज़ा में इसी तरह अमन-चैन रहना चाहिए जहां वो अपने त्योहार खुलकर मना सकें। ये तस्वीरें देखकर अच्छा लगा। ये तस्वीरें कश्मीर में बदले हालात का सबूत हैं। कुछ दिन पहले हमने देखा था कि जम्मू कश्मीर में मां शारदा का नया मंदिर बना है। मंदिर के लिए जमीन मुस्लिमों ने दी है। मंदिर बनाने में मुस्लिम भाइयों ने मदद की और मंदिर में देवी की मूर्ति की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा में भी मुस्लिम भाई बड़ी संख्या में शामिल हुए। गुरुवार को रामनवमी के मौके पर निकली शोभायात्रा में भी श्रीनगर के मुस्लिम शरीक हुए। यही तो कश्मीरियत है। यही तो हिन्दुस्तान की गंगा जमुनी तहजीब है। जिन इलाकों में शोभायात्राओं पर बम और पत्थर फेंके गए। उन इलाकों के लोगों को कश्मीर के लोगों से सबक सीखना चाहिए।
रामदेव की संन्यासियों की सेना
रामनवमी के दिन स्वामी रामदेव ने हरिद्वार में पतंजलि योग पीठ में 100 नए शिष्यों को ‘दीक्षा’ दी। आरएसएस प्रमुख मोहन भागवत भी इस कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए। शाम को गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने पतंजलि विश्वविद्यालय का उद्घाटन किया। इस मौके पर अमित शाह ने स्वामी रामदेव के कामों की जबरदस्त तारीफ की। अमित शाह ने कहा कि स्वामी रामदेव सनातन की सेवा तो कर ही रहे हैं, इसके अलावा उन्होंने योग, आयुर्वेद और स्वदेशी के विकास के साथ-साथ शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में जो काम किया है, वह दूसरों के लिए प्रेरणादायी है। इसमें तो कोई संदेह नहीं कि स्वामी रामदेव ने योग और आयुर्वेद के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए सराहनीय काम किया है।अब उन्होंने शिक्षा के लिए एक बड़ी योजना बनाई है। अच्छी बात ये है कि शिक्षा का काम, विश्वविद्यालय बनाने की योजना, स्वामी रामदेव के लिए कोई कमर्शियल प्रोजेक्ट नहीं है। वो अपने बाकी बिजनेस से जो कमाएंगे उसका एक बड़ा हिस्सा नौजवानों को आधुनिक और वैदिक शिक्षा देने के लिए किया जाएगा। स्वामी रामदेव इन सारे कामों को संभालने के लिए संन्यासियों की एक बड़ी फौज तैयार कर रहे हैं। गुरुवार को जिन 100 युवाओं को संन्यास की दीक्षा दी गई वो इसी प्रोसेस का हिस्सा हैं। धर्म और सेवा के लिए जो लोग अपना सुख-दुख त्यागकर संन्यासी बने हैं मैं उनकी तारीफ करना चाहता हूं और उन्हें भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं देना चाहता हूं।
HOWRAH VIOLENCE: MAMATA, BJP AT LOGGERHEADS
The violence that took place on Thursday and Friday during Ramnavami procession in Shibpur, Howrah of West Bengal is condemnable. Thirtysix persons have been arrested. Hoodlums set fire to vehicles and ransacked shops soon after stones were pelted at the procession from a mosque. The procession was brought out by four Hindu outfits including Vishwa Hindu Parishad after obtaining prior police permission. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee alleged that BJP and VHP were behind these clashes. BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari said, more than a crore Hindus took part in peaceful Ramnavami processions across West Bengal and Mamata Banerjee was threatening Hindus. It is right that Hindus in West Bengal are apprehensive about Mamata Banerjee’s stand on Ramnavami and the BJP is trying to highlight this. During the last four years, BJP tried to celebrate Hindu festivals in Bengal on a large scale, but every time Mamata Banerjee took a tough stand. Three years ago, her goernment banned Hanuman Jayanti and Ramnavami processions, and once ordered that immersion of Durga Puja idols will take place only after Muharram processions are over. This time, while allowing Ramnavami processions, Mamata Banerjee had given strict warnings that the processions must not pass through Muslim localities, due to observance of Ramzan. Hindu outfit leaders said that they too had observed fast for nine days during Navratri, and why should their religious sentiments be ignored. BJP is bound to make this an issue. Mamata Banerjee knows that she can face political damage if BJP tries to mobilize Hindus in Bengal.
RAMNAVAMI VIOLENCE: NAB THE CONSPIRATORS
There was violence in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (formerly Aurangabad) and Jalgaon in Maharashtra during Ramnavami. On the night preceding Ramnavami, two groups clashed in Kiradpura. There was stoning and vandalism. A man injured in police firing succumbed to injuries on Thursday night. Sixteen policemen were injured and several private and police vehicles were burnt. Sambhaji Nagar has AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel as its member of Parliament. Imtiaz went to a temple, sat inside and prevented it from being set on fire. In Jalgaon, 56 persons were arrested after groups indulged in stoning when a Ramnavani procession was passing in front of a mosque. The clash began over the use of sound systems during ‘namaaz’ prayers. Several vehicles were vandalized during stoning. In Vadodara, Gujarat, 24 stone pelters were detained after clashes erupted during Ramnavami procession. In Delhi, police in Jahangirpuri allowed the procession to be taken out only for 200 metres instead of 5 km and defused the situation. Delhi Police showed exemplary attitude and thus managed to avert clashes. The moot point is: Why did clashes take place in Bengal, Maharashtra and Gujarat in Muslim localities? Why clashes took place this year while peaceful processions were being taken out every year? Was there any conspiracy behind it? Who are the persons who conspired? What was their motive? This matter should be thoroughly investigated. Ramnavami processions were stoned, Ramzan is being observed by Muslims, and Eid will be celebrated in April. If violence takes place, it will vitiate the atmosphere. Police must take quick action and nab the conspirators. Such anti-socials are not devotees of any religion, they are enemies of society, and are a threat to peace. Action is needed, as was taken in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier violence used to take place in UP during Ramnavami, Hanuman Jayanti, Durga Puja and Muharram, but on Thursday, no clash took place. Thousands of processions were taken out peacefully in UP on Thursday. Not a single stone was pelted. When news about clashes was coming from Bengal and Maharashtra, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath was offering prayers to Goddess Bhagati in Gorakhpur, and thousands of devotees had congregated for darshan of Ram Lala in Ayodhya.
KASHMIRIS CELEBRATE RAMNAVAMI
The best visuals of Ramnavami came from Srinagar. Hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits and ISKCON devotees brought out Ramnavami procession from the Ram temple in Habba Kadal to Lal Chowk amidst chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Hare Ram, Hare Krishna’. A large number of local residents took part in the procession. Teenagers wearing costumes depicting various characters of Ramayana took part. Most of them said, it was unimaginable to take out a procession till a few years ago. I felt happy watching these visuals. They depict the changes that have come in the Valley during the last four years. A few days ago, we saw the new temple of Maa Sharda built on land donated by Muslims. Muslim brethren helped in rebuilding the temple and many of them attended the inauguration of the temple. On Thursday, Muslims joined Ramnavami procession. This, in essence, is Kashmiriyat. It reflects India’s ‘Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb’ (tradition). Those who pelted stones at Ramnavami processions in Bengal, Maharashtra and Gujarat should learn from Kashmiris.
RAMDEV’S ARMY OF SANNYASINS
On Ramnavami day, Swami Ramdev gave ‘deeksha’ (initiation) to 100 new disciples at the Patanjali Yog Peeth in Haridwar. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attended. In the evening, Patanjali University was inaugurated by Home Minister Amit Shah, who praised Swami Ramdev’s tireless efforts in the field of yoga, ayurveda, swadeshi and Vedic education. There is no denying the fact that Swami Ramdev has done a great service to the nation in popularizing yoga and ayurveda. Now he has big plans for Vedic education. For Swami Ramdev, creating a university is not a commercial project. He has promised to invest a major part of his commercial earnings from Patanjali to impart modern and Vedic education to our youths. Swami Ramdev is preparing a big army of sannyasins to achieve this objective. Thursday’s ‘deeksha’ to the new sannyasins was part of this process. They are those who have opted to leave their families to work for religion and service to the nation, for the rest of their life. I praise them for their lofty ideals and wish them all a bright future.
अमृतपाल को पंजाब की जनता का समर्थन क्यों नहीं मिल रहा है?
कट्टरपंथी खालिस्तान समर्थक अमृतपाल सिंह पिछले 10 दिन से फरार है, बुधवार को फगवाड़ा-होशियारपुर मार्ग पर वह एक कार में फिर से भाग गया। पंजाब पुलिस ने उसे पकड़ने के लिए जाल बिछाया है और उसका पता लगाने के लिए ड्रोन का भी इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। बुधवार को अमृतपाल ने एक वीडियो जारी कर ‘सिख संगत’ से ‘सरबत खालसा’ में शामिल होने का आह्वान किया। अमृतपाल ने दावा किया कि उसे गिरफ्तार नहीं किया गया है और कहा, ‘मुझे कुछ भी नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा सकता।’ वीडियो की तारीख और स्थान का पता नहीं चल सका है, लेकिन यह पाया गया कि वीडियो कनाडा, ब्रिटेन और दुबई के तीन आईपी एड्रेस से प्रसारित किया गया था। ऐसी खबरें थीं कि अमृतपाल बुधवार को स्वर्ण मंदिर सहित किसी भी बड़े गुरुद्वारे में सरेंडर कर सकता है। पुलिस की भारी तैनाती थी लेकिन भगोड़ा कहीं नजर नहीं आया। अमृतपाल को लेकर चार बातें बिल्कुल साफ हैं । एक, उसे अंदाज़ा है कि वो अब ज्यादा देर पुलिस से बच नहीं पाएगा, इसीलिए उसने अपना वीडियो जारी किया । दूसरी बात ये कि जिस दिन पहली बार पुलिस उसे पकड़ने आई थी, तो उसका जो वीडियो सामने आया था उसमें पुलिस का खौफ अमृतपाल के चेहरे पर साफ दिखाई दे रहा था। उसका घबराकर ये कहना कि ‘पुलिस आ गई, पुलिस आ गई’, दिखा रहा था कि वो गिरफ्तार होने से कितना डरा हुआ था । अमृतपाल का नया वीडियो इस इंप्रेशन को दूर करने के लिए भी है कि वो डरपोक है, इसीलिए वो कह रहा है कि वो गिरफ्तार होने से नहीं डरता, कोई उसका बाल भी बांका नहीं कर सकता । तीसरी बात ये कि अमृतपाल इतने दिनों तक इसलिए बचता रहा कि पंजाब के सिस्टम में उसका साथ देने वाले कई लोग मौजूद हैं, वो हुलिया बदलता रहा, गाड़ियां बदलता रहा, उसे छुपने की जगहें मिलती रहीं, सूचनाएं मिलती रही, ये बिना सिस्टम के सपोर्ट के संभव नहीं है । चौथी बात ये कि अमृतपाल और उसका इस्तेमाल करने वाले इस बात से परेशान हैं कि पुलिस एक्शन का पंजाब में कोई खास रिएक्शन नहीं हुआ, इसीलिए अमृतपाल अपने वीडियो में लोगों को भड़काने की कोशिश कर रहा है, धर्म के नाम पर, कौम के नाम पर लोगों को उकसाने की कोशिश में लगा है, पर मुझे लगता है कि पंजाब के लोगों ने ये सब बहुत बार देखा है । अब लोग अमन चैन से रहना चाहते हैं । इसलिए अमृतपाल के इरादे नाकाम होंगे । समस्या उन लोगों से हैं जो अपनी सियासत चमकाने के चक्कर में अमृतपाल जैसे लोगों का नाम लेते हैं। धर्म की आड़ लेकर लोगों को भड़काते हैं । मैं भगवंत मान की तारीफ करूंगा कि वो अमृतपाल और उसके साथियों के खिलाफ एक्शन लेने से डरे नहीं। पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री ने केंद्र सरकार के साथ मिलकर एक्शन लिया। जब अकाल तख्त के जत्थेदार ने अमृतपाल के साथियों को सपोर्ट देने की कोशिश की तो भगवंत मान ने जत्थेदार को करारा जवाब दिया। ये बात इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है कि शुरुआत में ये इंप्रेशन क्रिएट किया गया था कि पंजाब में आम आदमी पार्टी पर्दे के पीछे से खालिस्तानियों को सपोर्ट करती है। ये भी कहा गया था कि कनाडा में बैठे मिलिटेंट से इस पार्टी के रिश्ते हैं, पर भगवंत मान ने इस इंप्रेशन को गलत साबित कर दिया। कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह जैसे नेताओं को तो लगता था कि पंजाब एक बॉर्डर स्टेट है, सेंसिटिव इलाका है। भगवंत मान इसे संभाल नहीं पाएंगे। लेकिन मैं कहूंगा कि भगवंत मान ने जबरदस्त हिम्मत दिखाई, चाहें उन्हें सरकार चलाने का अनुभव ना हो, लेकिन जब पहली बार देश के दुश्मनों से लड़ने का मौका आया तो वो पीछे नहीं हटे। मुझे यकीन है कि भगवंत मान आगे भी किसी प्रेशर में नहीं आएंगे और पंजाब के दुश्मनों को सबक सिखाएंगे।
यूपी में डर से कांप रहे अपराधी
यूपी के अपराधी डॉन अतीक अहमद को जहां साबरमती जेल में रखा गया है, वहीं उमेश पाल अपहरण मामले में बरी हुए उसके भाई अशरफ को बरेली जेल ले जाया गया है। एक इंटरव्यू में, अशरफ ने कहा, प्रयागराज में यूपी पुलिस के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने उसे बताया कि उसे दो सप्ताह में मार दिया जाएगा, जब उसे फिर से जेल से बाहर ले जाया जाएगा। उसने अधिकारी का नाम नहीं लिया, लेकिन वह डरा हुआ लग रहा था। अशरफ ‘मुख्यमंत्री जी’ जैसे शब्दों का इस्तेमाल कर रहा था और यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ से उसे बचाने की गुहार लगा रहा था। अशरफ ने कहा, वह पिछले तीन साल से जेल में है, अतीक की पत्नी शाइस्ता परवीन मेयर का चुनाव लड़ना चाहती थीं, लेकिन वह फंस गईं और अंडरग्राउंड हो गई। इंटरव्यू से साफ पता चलता है कि यूपी के बड़े अपराधी अब कानून से कितने डरे हुए हैं। यह वास्तव में दुखद है कि जो लोग हत्या, जबरन वसूली, जमीन हड़पने में लिप्त हैं, वे दावा करते हैं कि वे अपराधी नहीं हैं, बल्कि विधायक हैं। अशरफ के शब्द कि ‘मेरा भाई सांसद और विधायक रहा है, और मैं भी विधायक था’, हमारी राजनीतिक व्यवस्था पर काला धब्बा है। यह राजनीतिक भाईचारे का दुरुपयोग करने के बराबर है। यह उन राजनीतिक दलों द्वारा अतीत में की गई गलतियों का परिणाम है, जिन्होंने वोट और सत्ता की तलाश में अपराधियों की मदद ली। अब समय आ गया है कि सभी राजनीतिक दल अपराधियों और माफिया से दूर रहें।

जब भाजपा ने पिछले साल कर्नाटक में विधानसभा चुनावों की तैयारी शुरू की, तो उसने दो महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाए। एक, अनुभवी नेता बी एस येदियुरप्पा को दरकिनार कर दिया गया और बसवराज बोम्मई को अभियान का नेतृत्व करने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई। दूसरा, मुस्लिम लड़कियों द्वारा ‘हिजाब’ पहनने को एक मुद्दा बनाया गया और हिंदुत्व के एजेंडे को उजागर करने की कोशिश की गई। जब बुधवार को कर्नाटक विधानसभा के लिए चुनाव की तारीखों की घोषणा की गई, तो ऐसा लगता है कि बीजेपी ने दोनों मोर्चों पर अपना रुख बदल लिया है। बोम्मई मुख्यमंत्री बने रहे, लेकिन येदियुरप्पा को सत्ता बरकरार रखने के लिए भाजपा का नेतृत्व करने का काम सौंपा गया है। येदियुरप्पा अपनी राजनीतिक पारी खेल चुके हैं और वह अपने बेटे को कर्नाटक की राजनीति में स्थापित करना चाहते हैं। ऐसा लगता है कि बीजेपी नेतृत्व ने येदियुरप्पा की शर्त मान ली है। दूसरा, कर्नाटक में हिंदुत्व और ‘हिजाब’ अब ज्वलंत मुद्दे नहीं रह गए हैं, और आरक्षण नीति केंद्र में आ गई है। बीजेपी ने मुस्लिमों के लिए आरक्षण हटाकर और वोक्कालिगा और लिंगायत समुदायों के लिए आरक्षण कोटा बढ़ाकर एक बड़ा दांव खेला है। दूसरी ओर, कांग्रेस को उसी समस्या का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, जिसका सामना उसने पहले किया था। पार्टी में नेता ज्यादा हैं और कार्यकर्ता कम। पूर्व में भी मुख्यमंत्री पद की खींचतान पार्टी को डुबा चुकी है। कांग्रेस ने इस बार किसी को भी मुख्यमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार के तौर पर पेश नहीं करने का फैसला किया है।
WHY PEOPLE OF PUNJAB ARE NOT SUPPORTING AMRITPAL
Radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh, who is on the run for over 10 days now, fled again in a car on Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road on Wednesday. Punjab Police has spread a dragnet to nab him, with drones also being used to trace him. On Wednesday, Amritpal Singh released a video calling on the ‘Sikh sangat’ to come together and join the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ campaign. He claimed that he has not been arrested and added, “nothing can harm me”. The date and location of the video could not be ascertained, but it was found that the video was circulated from three IP addresses from Canada, UK and Dubai. There were reports that Amritpal could surrender at any big gurudwara, including the Golden Temple on Wednesday. There was heavy deployment of police but the fugitive did not appear. Four points are clear. One, Amritpal knows that he will be arrested, sooner or later, and that is why he circulated his video. Two, on the first day when police went to arrest him, Amritpal looked afraid, and he was heard saying ‘police aa gayi, police aa gayi’. The latest video was circulated in order to dispel the impression that he is a coward. Three, Amritpal went scot-free in the past because there were some senior people in Punjab establishment who were covertly helping him. He changed his looks, vehicles and shelters, and yet, he got all information about police movements. This would not have been possible without help from insiders. Four, Amritpal and his handlers are worried that there has been no major reaction among the people of Punjab against police action. In his video, Amritpal was trying to incite the people of Punjab to fight in the name of religion and Sikh ‘qaum’. I feel, the people of Punjab have seen similar things in the past, and they want to live in peace. Amritpal’s malicious intentions will be nipped in the bud. The problem is with those who want to grind their political axe. I would like to praise Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who was not afraid in taking action against Amritpal Singh and his followers. The Punjab chief minister carried out coordinated action with help from the Centre. When the Jathedar of Akal Takht tried to extend support to Amritpal Singh’s outfit, Bhagwant Mann gave the Jathedar a strong reply. This was important because in the beginning an impression was sought to be created that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party was extending covert support to pro-Khalistan activists. It was also alleged that separatist elements sitting in Canada had connections with AAP. However, Bhagwant Mann dispelled this impression by taking action against Amritpal and his supporters. Experienced leaders like Capt. Amarinder Singh felt that Mann may not be able to govern a sensitive border state like Punjab. But I would like to say emphatically that Bhagwant Mann showed exemplary courage, irrespective of the fact that he had no prior experience in governance. When the time came to take action against anti-nationals, Bhagwant Mann did not back out. I hope Mann will not come under any pressure in the coming months and he will surely teach the enemies of Punjab a lesson.
CRIMINALS TREMBLE IN U.P.
While UP criminal don Atiq Ahmed has been lodged in Sabarmati jail, his brother Ashraf, who was acquitted in Umesh Pal kidnapping case, was taken to Bareilly jail. In an interview, Ashraf said, a senior UP police officer in Prayagraj told him he would be killed in two weeks, when he will be taken out of jail again. He did not name the officer, but was looking afraid. Ashraf was using words like ‘mukhyamantri ji’ and imploring the UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath to save him. Ashraf said, he has been in jail for the last three years, that Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen wanted to contest Mayor elections, but she was trapped and has gone underground. The interview clearly shows how top criminals in UP now fear the law. It is really sad that people who indulge in murder, extortions, land grabbing, claim that they are not criminals, but legislators. Ashraf’s words that ‘my brother has been an MP and MLA, and I was also an MLA’, are dark spots on our political system. It amounts to abusing the political brotherhood. This is the consequence of mistakes committed in the past by political parties who took help from criminals in their quest for votes and power. Now is the time for all political parties to shun criminals and gangsters.
WILL YEDIYURAPPA LEAD BJP IN KARNATAKA?
When the BJP began preparations last year for the assembly polls in Karnataka, it took two important steps: One, veteran leader B S Yediyurappa was sidelined and Basavaraj Bommai was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the campaign. Two, wearing of ‘hijab’ by Muslim girls was made an issue and Hindutva agenda was sought to be highlighted. When election dates for Karanataka assembly were announced on Wednesday, BJP appears to have changed its stand on both counts. Bommai continues to be chief minister, but Yeddyurappa has been entrusted with the task of leading BJP to retain power. Yediyurappa has already played his political innings and he wants to establish his son in Karnataka politics. It appears that the BJP leadership has accepted Yeddyurappa’s condition. Secondly, Hindutva and ‘hijab’ are no more burning issues in Karnataka, and reservation policy has taken centre stage. BJP has taken a big gambit by removing reservation for Muslims, and enhancing the reservation quotas for Vokkaliga and Lingayat communities. On the other hand, Congress is facing the same problem it had encountered earlier. Leaders are many and workers are few in the party. The tussle for the post of chief minister has sunk the party in the past too. This time, Congress has decided not to project anybody as chief ministerial candidate.
2024 लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए मोदी की रणनीति
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 2024 के लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए प्रचार अभियान की रूपरेखा तय कर दी है। मंगलवार को अपनी चुनावी रणनीति का परोक्ष रूप से संकेत देते हुए उन्होंने स्पष्ट कर दिया कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ सरकार का कदम नहीं रुकेगा । मोदी ने कहा, सभी भ्रष्ट नेताओं और पार्टियों ने अब हाथ मिला लिया है। अब साफ हो गया है कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ मोदी सरकार का अभियान अगले साल तक जारी रहेगा । मोदी ने कहा, भ्रष्टाचार विरोधी अभियान ने कुछ भ्रष्ट नेताओं की जड़ें हिला दी हैं । मोदी जनता के सामने यह प्रोजेक्ट करना चाहते हैं कि एक तरफ हाथ मिलाने वाले भ्रष्ट राजनेता हैं और दूसरी तरफ मोदी भ्रष्टाचारियों पर प्रहार कर रहे हैं । मोदी ने अपने कार्यकर्ताओं को याद दिलाया कि जब वह सत्ता में थे तो कांग्रेस ने उन्हें जेल में डालने के लिए क्या क्या कोशिशें की थी । विपक्ष ने जांच एजेंसियों के कथित दुरुपयोग के बारे में जो आरोप लगाए थे, उसी पर मोदी की यह प्रतिक्रिया थी। अब 2024 की लड़ाई के लिए रेखा स्पष्ट रूप से खींची जा चुकी है । भ्रष्टाचार प्रमुख मुद्दा रहेगा । मोदी को किसी भी विपक्षी मोर्चे की परवाह नहीं है ।
कर्नाटक में आरक्षण नीति में बदलाव के मायने
कर्नाटक में भाजपा सरकार ने मुसलमानों के लिए 4 प्रतिशत कोटा समाप्त कर दिया है । मुसलमानों को ईडब्ल्यूएस (आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग) कोटा में शामिल कर दिया गया है। इस कोटा में जैन और ब्राह्मण समुदायों के गरीब लोगों को 10 फीसदी आरक्षण मिलता है । 4 प्रतिशत मुस्लिम कोटा अब समान रूप से विभाजित किया गया है, लिंगायतों को 2 फीसदी और वोक्कालिगा कोटा में 2 फीसदी जोड़ा गया, जिससे उनका कोटा क्रमशः 5 फीसदी और 7 फीसदी हो गया । बंजारा, वोक्कालिगा और मुस्लिम समुदायों ने इस फैसले के खिलाफ राज्य में कई जगह विरोध प्रदर्शन किया है । कर्नाटक में लिंगायत और वोक्कालिगा समुदायों का वर्चस्व है । राज्य में 10 मई को मतदान होगा और 13 मई को मतगणना होगी। लिंगायत मतदाता लगभग 100 विधानसभा सीटों की किस्मत का फैसला करते हैं, जबकि वोक्कालिगा 61 सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों के भाग्य का फैसला करते हैं । भाजपा को इस फैसले से राजनीतिक लाभ मिल सकता है क्योंकि उसके नेता जानते हैं कि कर्नाटक में मुस्लिम मतदाता पार्टी को कतई वोट नहीं देंगे । भले ही मुस्लिम वोटर नाखुश हों, लेकिन वे बीजेपी की चुनावी संभावनाओं को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचा सकते । दूसरी ओर, कांग्रेस मुस्लिम मतदाताओं को नाखुश करने का जोखिम नहीं उठा सकती । यही वजह है कि कांग्रेस आरक्षण नीति में बदलाव का खुलकर विरोध कर रही है । इन विरोधों के कारण लिंगायत और वोक्कालिगा मतदाताओं के बीच कांग्रेस को नुकसान हो सकता है, लेकिन कोई दूसरा विकल्प नहीं है । एक तरफ कुआं है, तो दूसरी तरफ खाई ।
माफिया का सफाया, प्रगति की ओर बढ़ रहा यूपी
यूपी के माफिया डॉन अतीक अहमद को उमेश पाल अपहरण मामले में मंगलवार को दो अन्य लोगों के साथ उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई गई । इसके तुरंत बाद, अतीक को फिर से प्रयागराज से गुजरात की साबरमती जेल तक सड़क मार्ग से वाहनों के काफिले में ले जाया गया । 44 साल में पहली बार, अतीक अहमद को एक अदालत ने सजा सुनाई । अभी सौ से अधिक अन्य मामले लंबित हैं । अतीत में अतीक को राजनीतिक संरक्षण मिल रहा था और उसका गिरोह गवाहों को चुप कराने के लिए बाहुबल का इस्तेमाल कर रहा था । 1,270 किलोमीटर दूर गुजरात की जेल में बैठा एक गैंगस्टर उमेश पाल जैसे प्रमुख गवाह को दिन दहाड़े मारने की योजना बनाए और उसे अंजाम दे, ऐसा कोई सोच भी नहीं सकता था । अतीक को सजा सुनाए जाने के बाद आम जनता का अदालतों और पुलिस पर विश्वास फिर से कायम हुआ है । अब अतीक के खिलाफ गवाही देने के लिए कई और गवाह सामने आ सकते हैं । योगी आदित्यनाथ के छह साल के शासन के दौरान, अतीक और उसके गिरोह के सदस्यों के खिलाफ पुलिस और प्रशासन ने ज़बरदस्त कार्रवाई की । उनकी संपत्तियों को कुर्क किया गया, ध्वस्त किया गया और गिरोह के नेटवर्क को तोड़ दिया गया।
अतीक अहमद अब दहशत के माहौल में जी रहा है । मेरा मानना है कि एक क्रिमिनल डॉन के मन में इस तरह का खौफ होना जरूरी है । इसका श्रेय योगी को जाता है जिन्होंने अपराधियों के मन में डर पैदा कर दिया । यूपी में आए इस बड़े बदलाव की वजह से आज महिलाएं घर से बाहर निकलने से नहीं डरती और लोग चैन की जिंदगी जी रहे हैं । निवेशक अब यूपी में उद्योग लगाने के लिए पैसा लगाने को तैयार हैं । मैं आज कुछ बैंकरों से मिला । उन्होंने मुझे बताया कि बदले हुए माहौल के कारण एमएसएमई (मध्यम, लघु और सूक्ष्म उद्यम) क्षेत्र में बड़ा विस्तार हुआ है । एक बिजली वितरण कंपनी के कुछ अधिकारियों ने मुझे बताया कि उनके कर्मचारियों को अब इलाकों में जाकर बिजली चोरी के मामलों की जांच करने में कोई डर नहीं है । उत्तर प्रदेश जैसे राज्य अगर प्रगति की ओर अग्रसर होना चाहता है, तो सुरक्षा की ऐसी गारंटी आवश्यक है ।
PM MODI SETS THE TONE FOR 2024 LS POLLS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the campaign tone for 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Outlining his poll strategy on Tuesday, he made it clear that the government’s move against corruption will not stop. Commenting, indirectly, on the claims of opposition unity, he said, all corrupt politicians and parties have now joined hands. It is now clear that Modi government’s offensive against corruption will continue, irrespective of many parties coming together to oppose it. Modi said, anti-corruption campaign has shaken the roots of some corrupt politicians. Modi wants to project before the people that on one hand there are corrupt politicians who have joined hands, and on the other hand is he, who is striking out at the corrupt. Modi reminded his partymen how Congress tried to put him in jail when he was in power. This was Modi’s response to the allegation being made by opposition about alleged misuse of investigation agencies. The line is now clearly drawn for 2024 battle. Corruption will be the main issue.
RESERVATION POLICY CHANGED IN KARNATAKA
The BJP government in Karnataka has removed the 4 per cent quota for Muslims. Muslims have been moved to EWS (economically weaker sections) quota, which provides for 10 pc reservation to those from Jain and Brahmin communities. The 4 per cent Muslim quota has now been divided equally, with 2 pc going to Lingayats and 2 per cent added to Vokkaliga quota, raising their quotas to 5 pc and 7 pc respectively. There has been a spate of protests against this decision by Banjara, Vokkaliga and Muslim communities. Lingayats and Vokkaligas constitute the major chunk of voters in Karnataka. The state will go to the polls on May 10. Counting will take place on May 13. Lingayat voters decide the fate of nearly 100 assembly seats, while Vokkaligas decide the fate of candidates in 61 seats. BJP may gain political advantage because their leaders know that Muslim voters in Karnataka are not going to vote for the party. Even if Muslim voters are unhappy, they cannot harm BJP’s electoral prospects. On the other hand, Congress cannot afford to alienate Muslim voters. This is the reason why Congress is openly opposing the change in reservation policy. Congress may suffer losses among Lingayat and Vokkaliga voters because of these protests, but there is no other choice. It is a case of choosing between a frying pan and fire.

UP mafia don Atiq Ahmed was given life sentence along with two others in Umesh Pal kidnapping case on Tuesday. Soon after, he was again taken in a convoy of vehicles by road from Prayagraj to Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail. For the first time in 44 years, Atiq Ahmed was sentenced by a court, with more than a hundred other cases pending. Atiq was getting political protection and his gang has been using muscle power to silence witnesses. One can only wonder how a gangster sitting in a jail in Gujarat 1,270 kilometres away, can plan and execute a plan to kill a prime witness like Umesh Pal in broad daylight. Now that he has been sentenced, the faith of people in courts and police has been restored. More witnesses may now come forward to depose against this gangster. During the last six years of Yogi Adityanath’s rule, Atiq and his gang members have faced the fury of police and administration. Their properties were attached, demolished and the gang’s network was smashed. Atiq Ahmed is now living in a state of fear. I believe, such fear in the mind of a criminal don is necessary. The credit goes to Yogi who struck fear in their minds. Because of this sea change in UP, women today do not fear moving out of their homes, and people are living a peaceful life. Investors are now willing to invest money for setting up industries in UP. I met some bankers today. They told me that because of the changed atmosphere there has been a big expansion in the MSME (medium, small and micro enterprises) sector. Some officials of a power distribution company told me that their staff now have no fear in going to localities to check cases of power theft. Such a guarantee of security is necessary for a state like UP in its march towards progress.
यूपी में कानून का राज कायम करना योगी की सबसे बड़ी कामयाबी
प्रयागराज में विशेष एमपी-एमएलए कोर्ट ने मंगलवार को गैंगस्टर अतीक अहमद और दो अन्य को उमेश पाल अपहरण मामले में दोषी ठहराया और तीनों को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई। कोर्ट ने अतीक के भाई खालिद अजीम उर्फ अशरफ समेत बाकी सात आरोपियों को बरी कर दिया। अतीक को सोमवार को ही गुजरात की साबरमती जेल से सड़क मार्ग से 24 घंटे की 1270 किलोमीटर की यात्रा के बाद नैनी जेल लाया गया था। आशंका थी कि अतीक की वैन पलट सकती है और वह एनकाउंटर में मारा जा सकता है, लेकिन यूपी पुलिस ने उसे नैनी जेल लाने में पूरी सावधानी बरती। माफिया डॉन अतीक अहमद कोई साधारण अपराधी नहीं है। वह यूपी में उस काले युग का प्रतीक है, जब गैंगस्टर राजनीतिक संरक्षण प्राप्त करते थे और हत्याएं, अपहरण, जमीन हड़पने की वारदातों को अंजाम देते थे और खुलेआम घूमते थे। इन गैंगस्टरों ने लगभग चार दशकों तक यूपी के बड़े इलाकों में अपना दबदबा कायम रखा, फिर चाहें कोई भी पार्टी सत्ता में रही हो। इस दौरान गवाहों को ढूंढना मुश्किल था और इन लोगों के खिलाफ सबूत भी। सरकारें बदलीं, लेकिन ये माफिया राज करते रहे। पुलिसकर्मी उनसे डरते थे। मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में योगी आदित्यनाथ ने उनके अपराधों पर लगाम लगाई और इन गैंगस्टरों को जड़ से उखाड़ने का काम किया। उन्होंने दोहरी कार्रवाई की। उन्होंने इन गैंगस्टरों को जेल में डाल दिया, उनकी आय के रास्तों को बंद कर दिया और बुलडोजर का इस्तेमाल करके उनकी अवैध संपत्तियों को तोड़ दिया। आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी कि अतीक अहमद की 1,168 करोड़ रुपए की संपत्ति या तो कुर्क की गई है या ढहा दी गई है। इस तरह की कड़ी कार्रवाई ने यूपी में आपराधिक माफिया गिरोह की कमर तोड़ दी। योगी ने इन बदमाशों को सहयोग देने वालों को भी नहीं बख्शा। इन लोगों की संपत्तियों पर भी बुलडोजर चला। इस तरह की कार्रवाई से अपराधियों के मन में डर पैदा हुआ है और आम लोगों का व्यवस्था के प्रति विश्वास बढ़ा है। मुठभेड़ों में 178 अपराधी मारे जा चुके हैं और 23,000 से अधिक अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। इसका नतीजा ये हुआ है कि अपराधी यूपी में घुसने से भी डरते हैं। दूसरे राज्यों की जेलों में बंद अतीक अहमद और मुख्तार अंसारी जैसे हार्डकोर अपराधी यूपी की जेल में लाए जाने की आशंका से डरे हुए हैं। माफिया डॉन का ऐसा डर यूपी और यहां के लोगों की बेहतरी के लिए अच्छा है। मुझे लगता है कि अपराधियों के मन में डर पैदा करना योगी आदित्यनाथ की सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि है।

लोकसभा सचिवालय ने संसद सदस्यता से अयोग्य घोषित होने के बाद राहुल गांधी को 12, तुगलक लेन स्थित सरकारी बंगला 22 अप्रैल तक खाली करने के लिए कहा है। मंगलवार को, राहुल ने संबंधित अधिकारी को लिखा कि ‘अपने अधिकारों को कोई हानि पहुंचाये बगैर, मैं आपके पत्र में बताए गए निर्देश का पालन करूंगा।’ जो लोग सरकारी बंगले खाली कराने की मोदी की नीति को जानते हैं, उन्हें इस आदेश पर आश्चर्य नहीं होना चाहिए। मोदी सरकार ने किसी सांसद के एक बार सदस्यता खो देने पर उसके प्रति कोई नरमी नहीं दिखाई। 2014 से 2015 तक, लगभग 200 पूर्व सांसदों को एक सप्ताह के भीतर अपना आवास खाली करना पड़ा। 2019 के चुनाव के बाद जो सांसद हारे, उन्हें भी आवास खाली करना पड़ा। कैबिनेट से हटाए गए राधामोहन सिंह और रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक जैसे मंत्रियों को आम तौर पर मंत्रियों को आवंटित बड़े बंगले खाली करने पड़े। पहले की सरकारें इसे राजनीतिक पक्ष लेने के लिए एक उपकरण के रूप में इस्तेमाल करती थीं। चुनाव हारने वाले शीर्ष नेता कभी सुरक्षा के नाम पर, कभी बाजार किराया देकर, तो कभी दूसरे सांसद के नाम पर बंगला आवंटित कराकर कई सालों से बंगले पर काबिज थे। मोदी ने इस प्रथा को बंद कर दिया। इस वजह से कई पूर्व सांसद मोदी से नाखुश थे। लालू प्रसाद यादव अपनी मेडिकल कंडीशन का हवाला देते हुए अपने बंगले में रहना जारी रखना चाहते थे, लेकिन वे सांसद नहीं थे। वह चाहते थे कि उनका बंगला उनकी पार्टी के किसी सांसद को आवंटित किया जाए। उन्होंने पैरवी करने की बहुत कोशिश की, लेकिन असफल रहे। चिराग पासवान उसी बंगले में रहना चाहते थे, जहां उनके पिता स्वर्गीय रामविलास पासवान रहा करते थे। जब रामविलास पासवान सांसद नहीं रहे तो किसी ने उनका बंगला खाली कराने की कोशिश नहीं की, लेकिन मोदी सरकार ने नरमी नहीं दिखाई। स्वर्गीय अजीत सिंह के पुत्र जयंत चौधरी उसी बंगले में रहना चाहते थे जहां कभी चौधरी चरण सिंह और अजीत सिंह रहा करते थे। लेकिन मोदी सरकार ने बंगला किसी और को आवंटित कर दिया। विपक्षी नेताओं को ही नहीं, बल्कि बीजेपी के पूर्व मंत्री स्वर्गीय जसवंत सिंह को भी अपना बंगला खाली करना पड़ा था। चूंकि पार्टी के नेताओं को मोदी की नीति के सख्त पालन के बारे में पता था, इसलिए सुषमा स्वराज और अरुण जेटली ने मंत्री नहीं रहने पर तुरंत अपने बंगले को खाली कर दिया था। लेकिन राहुल गांधी के समर्थक इसे मुद्दा बनाने के लिए बाध्य हैं। हालांकि मोदी सरकार रियायत नहीं देने जा रही है। मुझे वह समय याद है जब सीताराम केसरी कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष थे और अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी के कट्टर विरोधी थे। जब केसरी सांसद नहीं रहे तो वाजपेयी ने तुरंत केसरी को स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के कोटे से बंगला आवंटित कर दिया। समय अब बदल गया है। नेता कोई भी हो, किसी भी दल का हो, मोदी राज में उसे कोई रियायत नहीं मिलेगी।
क्या गांधी-नेहरू परिवार को कानून से ऊपर होना चाहिए?
सोमवार को कांग्रेस, डीएमके, समाजवादी पार्टी, जेडीयू, बीआरएस, सीपीआईएम, आरजेडी, एनसीपी, मुस्लिम लीग, तृणमूल कांग्रेस, आम आदमी पार्टी, नेशनल कांफ्रेंस और शिवसेना के सांसद काली पोशाक पहनकर संसद पहुंचे और अडानी मामले में जेपीसी जांच की मांग की। कांग्रेस सांसद प्रमोद तिवारी ने कहा, ‘राहुल गांधी कोई आम आदमी नहीं हैं, वह उस परिवार से आते हैं जिसने आजादी की लड़ाई लड़ी और दो प्रधानमंत्री शहीद हो गए, इसलिए राहुल के बारे में सरकार का कोई भी फैसला सोच-समझकर लेना चाहिए।’ केंद्रीय मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने इसका जवाब देते हुए कहा, ‘कांग्रेस को यह कहने दीजिए कि गांधी-नेहरू परिवार के लिए एक अलग कानून होना चाहिए और राहुल को कानून से ऊपर होना चाहिए।’ भाजपा नेताओं को पता है कि गांधी-नेहरू परिवार कांग्रेस पार्टी की दुखती रग है। वे उस परिवार के दो प्रधानमंत्रियों की हत्या का हवाला देते हैं। इसमें कुछ भी गलत नहीं है। लेकिन जब कांग्रेस के नेता कहते हैं कि जब कोई अदालत सजा सुनाती है, तो गांधी-नेहरू परिवार के लोगों की शहादत को ध्यान में रखा जाना चाहिए, तब भाजपा नेताओं ने तुरंत इशारा किया कि ऐसे कई नेता थे जिन्हें अदालतों ने सजा सुनाई थी और जिन्हें विधानसभाओं से अयोग्य घोषित किया गया था, लेकिन किसी ने आवाज नहीं उठाई। गांधी-नेहरू परिवार की शहादत की विरासत तो है ही, इस परिवार से भी एक लंबा इतिहास जुड़ा है। कांग्रेस के शासन में ही लालू प्रसाद यादव को जेल भेजा गया था, मुलायम सिंह यादव के खिलाफ आय से अधिक संपत्ति का मामला दर्ज किया गया था, अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता पर अंकुश लगाया गया था, सुप्रीम कोर्ट के न्यायाधीशों को पद से हटा दिया गया था। ऐसे में विरासत का मुद्दा उठाना कांग्रेस के लिए दोधारी तलवार हो सकता है।
वीर सावरकर का अपमान कर रहे हैं राहुल
वीर सावरकर की विरासत और स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में उनके योगदान को लेकर एक नया मुद्दा खड़ा हो गया है। राहुल गांधी ने एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में कहा कि ‘मैं सावरकर नहीं हूं, मैं गांधी हूं और गांधी कभी माफी नहीं मांगते’। राहुल का यह डायलॉग कांग्रेस नेताओं के कानों को प्यारा लगा, लेकिन शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे के लिए यह मुसीबत का सबब बन गया। उद्धव ने गुस्सा जाहिर करते हुए राहुल से सावरकर का अपमान करने से बाज आने को कहा। विरोध के तौर पर शिवसेना ने सोमवार रात कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे द्वारा विपक्षी नेताओं के लिए आयोजित डिनर में शिरकत नहीं की। राहुल ने पहले भी कई बार वीर सावरकर को ‘माफी-वीर’ बताया था। सावरकर के परिवार ने राहुल के खिलाफ मानहानि का मुकदमा दायर किया है और राहुल को अदालत में पेश होना पड़ा। इतिहास पढ़ने वाले सावरकर को एक महान देशभक्त के रूप में जानते हैं। जब उन्हें पहली बार लंदन में गिरफ्तार किया गया था, और एक जहाज में भारत लाया जा रहा था, तो वह पानी में कूद गए, लेकिन जल्द ही पकड़े गए। अगले 25 वर्षों तक, सावरकर ब्रिटिश जेलों में रहे, और उन्हें ‘काला पानी’ की सजा दी गई और अंडमान सेलुलर जेल में बंद कर दिया गया। आज भी, भारत के पर्यटक अंडमान सेलुलर जेल को देखने के लिए आते हैं, जहां ब्रिटिश शासकों द्वारा सावरकर को कैद किया गया था। बाद में, एक रणनीति के तहत, सावरकर ने अंग्रेजों से माफी मांगने के लिए पत्र लिखे। इस पर विवाद हो सकता है, लेकिन किसी को भी उनकी देशभक्ति और देश के प्रति वफादारी पर सवाल नहीं उठाना चाहिए। महाराष्ट्र में लोग सावरकर की पूजा करते हैं और सावरकर का अपमान करना किसी को बर्दाश्त नहीं है। शिवसेना अपने संस्थापक बाला साहेब ठाकरे के जमाने से ही सावरकर को आदर्श मानती थी। 2018 में, जब मणिशंकर अय्यर ने भारत के विभाजन के लिए सावरकर को दोषी ठहराया, तो नाराज उद्धव ठाकरे ने कहा था, अगर मुझे राहुल या मणिशंकर अय्यर मिले, तो मैं उन्हें चप्पल से पीटूंगा। अब शिवसेना महाविकास अघाड़ी में कांग्रेस की सहयोगी है, तो मराठा लोगों को अपनी पार्टी के रुख के बारे में बताना उद्धव के लिए मुश्किल हो रहा है।
ENSURING RULE OF LAW IS YOGI’S BIG ACHIEVEMENT
The Special MP-MLA court in Prayagraj on Tuesday held gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and two others guilty in Umesh Pal kidnapping case and sentenced all the three to life imprisonment. The court acquitted the remaining seven accused including Atiq’s brother Khalid Azim alias Ashraf. On Monday, Atiq was brought in a police convoy to Naini jail after a 24-hour long, 1270 km journey by road from Sabarmati jail in Gujarat. There was apprehension that Atiq’s van could overturn and he could be killed in an encounter, but UP police took all care in bringing him to Naini jail. Mafia don Atiq Ahmed is no ordinary criminal. He is the symbol of that dark age in UP, when gangsters used to get political protection and carry out murders, kidnappings, land grab, and went scot-free. These gangsters held sway over large swathes of UP for nearly four decades, no matter which party was in power. It was difficult to find witnesses and evidence against them. Governments changed, but these mafia dons ruled the roost. Policemen used to fear them. It was Yogi Adityanath as chief minister, who put an end to their crimes and went about to uproot these gangsters. He took twin-fold action. He jailed these gangsters, and at the same time, cut off their income line and razed their illegal properties using bulldozers. You will be surprised to know that Rs 1,168 crore worth properties belonging to Atiq Ahmed have either been attached or razed. Such firm action broke the back of criminal mafia gangs in UP. Yogi did not spare even those who were providing support to these gangsters. Even their properties were razed using bulldozers. Such action has instilled fear in the minds of criminals and the common man’s faith in the system has been restored. 178 criminals were killed in encounters and more than 23,000 criminals were arrested. As a result, criminals feared entering UP. Hardcore criminal gangsters like Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari, lodged in jails of other states, feared being brought to jail in UP. Such a sense of fear in the minds of mafia dons is good for the betterment of UP and its people. I think, driving fear in the minds of criminals is the biggest achievement of Yogi Adityanath.
RAHUL TO VACATE HIS BUNGALOW
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been asked to vacate his government bungalow at 12, Tughlak Lane, by April 22, following his disqualification from Lok Sabha membership. On Tuesday, Rahul wrote to the concerned official that “without prejudice to my rights, I shall abide by the details contained in your letter”. Those who know Modi’s policy on getting government bungalows vacated, should not be surprised over this order. Modi government did not show leniency to any MP, once he or she lost membership. From 2014 to 2015, nearly 200 former MPs had to vacate their accommodation within a week. After 2019 elections, MPs who lost, also had to vacate their accommodation. Ministers like Radhamohan Singh and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, who were dropped from the cabinet, had to vacate large bungalows normally allotted to ministers. Earlier governments used to use this a tool for granting political favour. Top leaders, who lost elections, used to occupy bungalows for many years. Some of them retained their bungalows on ground of security, some paid market rent, and some got their bungalows allotted in the name of another MP. Modi stopped this practice. Many former MPs were unhappy with Modi because of this. Lalu Prasad Yadav wanted to retain his bungalow, citing his medical condition, but he was no more MP. He wanted his bungalow be allotted to an MP belonging to his party. He tried hard to lobby, but failed. Chirag Paswan wanted to retain the bungalow where his father Late Ramvilas Paswan used to stay. When Ramvilas Paswan was no more MP, nobody tried to get his bungalow vacated, but Modi government did not show leniency. Late Ajit Singh’s son Jayant Chaudhary wanted to retain the bungalow where once Chaudhary Charan Singh and Ajit Singh used to stay. But Modi government allotted the bungalow to somebody else. Not only opposition leaders, even former BJP minister Late Jaswant Singh also had to vacate his bungalow. Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj led by example. They immediately vacated their bungalows once they were no more ministers, and shifted to their own houses. Both of them could have continued to stay in large government homes on account of seniority and health. But they preferred ethics over personal comfort. But supporters of Rahul Gandhi are bound to make it an issue. Modi’s government is not going to grant any concession. I remember the time when Sitaram Kesri was Congress president and a staunch opponent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. When Kesri ceased to be an MP, Vajpayee immediately allotted the bungalow to Kesri from freedom fighters’ quota. Times have now changed. Whosoever may be the leader, belonging to whichever party, he or she will not get any concession during Modi’s rule.
SHOULD GANDHI-NEHRU FAMILY BE ABOVE LAW?
On Monday, MPs belonging to Congress, DMK, Samajwadi party, JD(U), BRS, CPI)M), RJD, NCP, Muslims League, Trinamool Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, National Conference and Shiv Sena came to Parliament wearing black dress and demanded JPC probe into Adani issue. Congress MP Pramod Tiwari said, ‘Rahul Gandhi is no common man, he comes from a family that fought for freedom and two Prime Ministers became martyrs, therefore any government decision about Rahul should be taken with care’. Union Minister Piyush Goyal responded, by asking, ‘let Congress say that there should be a separate law for Gandhi-Nehru family and that Rahul should be above law’. BJP leaders know that Gandhi-Nehru family is the Achilles heel of Congress party. Congress leaders often cite the assassinations of two prime ministers from that family. There is nothing wrong in this. But when Congress leaders said that the martyrdoms from Gandhi-Nehru family must be kept in mind when a court gives its sentence, BJP leaders quickly pointed out that there were so many leaders who were sentenced by courts, some were disqualified from legislatures, but nobody raised a voice. While Gandhi-Nehru family has the legacy of martyrdom, there is also a long history associated with this family. It was during Congress rule that Lalu Prasad Yadav was sent to jail, disproportionate assets case was filed against Mulayam Singh Yadav, right to freedom of speech was curbed, judges of Supreme Court were superseded. So, raising the issue of legacy can be a double-edged sword for the Congress.
RAHUL INSULTING VEER SAVARKAR
A new issue has arisen over Veer Savarkar’s legacy and his contribution to freedom struggle. Rahul Gandhi said at a press conference that ‘I am not Savarkar, I am a Gandhi and Gandhis never apologize’. Rahul’s dialogue sounded sweet to the ears of Congress leaders, but for Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, it spells trouble. Uddhav, expressing anger, asked Rahul to refrain from insulting Savarkar. As a protest, Shiv Sena did not attend a dinner for opposition leaders hosted by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday night. In the past, Rahul had described Veer Savarkar as ‘maafi-veer’ several times. Savarkar’s family has filed defamation case against Rahul, and the latter had to appear in court. Those who have read history know, Savarkar was a great patriot. After his first arrest in London, when he was being brought in a ship to India, he jumped into the water, but was soon caught. For the next 25 years, Savarkar remained in British prisons, and he was given ‘kaala paani’ sentence and lodged in the Andaman Cellular Jail. Even today, tourists from mainland India flock to see the Andaman Cellular Jail where Savarkar was incarcerated by the British rulers. Later, as part of a strategy, Savarkar did write letters seeking clemency from the British. There can be dispute over this, but nobody should question his patriotism and loyalty to the nation. In Maharashtra, Savarkar is worshipped by people, and they cannot tolerate anybody insulting Savarkar. Shiv Sena, since the days of its founder Balasaheb Thackeray, used to consider Savarkar as an idol. In 2018, when Mani Shankar Aiyar blamed Savarkar for India’s partition, an enraged Uddhav Thackeray said, ‘if I get Rahul or Mani Shankar Aiyar, I will beat them with chappal’. Now the same Shiv Sena is an ally of Congress in Maha Vikas Aghadi. It is becoming difficult for Uddhav to tell the Maratha voters about his party’s stand.
राहुल की सज़ा पर स्टे लेने में कांग्रेस ने देरी क्यों की?
राहुल गांधी की संसद सदस्यता खत्म होने के मामले को लेकर कहा जा सकता है कि दोनों तरफ से छोटी सी बात को बड़ा फसाना बना दिया गया। मोटे तौर पर देखें तो राहुल अपनी जनसभाओं में अक्सर ‘मोदी’ को चोर कहते रहे हैं। इसे सियासी बयान मानकर इसकी उपेक्षा की जा सकती थी , लेकिन अगर कोई इस मामले को लेकर कोर्ट में चला गया तो राहुल गांधी इससे भी निकल सकते थे। अगर वह कोर्ट में कह देते कि उनका इरादा पूरे मोदी समाज को आहत करने का नहीं था, किसी को चोट पहुंची तो खेद है, तो कोई भी कोर्ट आराम से इस मामले को खत्म कर देता। लेकिन राहुल अड़ गए कि माफी नहीं मांगूंगा। यह राहुल गांधी की फितरत है। हालांकि मैं मानता हूं किसी समाज से माफी मांगने से कोई छोटा नहीं होता। अब कोर्ट ने उन्हें 2 साल की सजा सुनाई तो कानून के मुताबिक राहुल की लोकसभा सदस्यता का खत्म होना लाजिमी था, पर सरकारी पक्ष की तरफ से भी इतनी जल्दबाजी दिखाने की जरूरत नहीं थी। इस पर 2-4 दिन इंतजार कर लेते तो कोई फर्क न पड़ता, कांग्रेस को इसे इतना बड़ा इश्यू बनाने का मौका न मिलता। कांग्रेस कोर्ट से सजा के खिलाफ स्टे ऑर्डर ले आती। मानहानि के मामलों में आमतौर पर ऐसा होता रहता है। दूसरी तरफ देखें तो बीजेपी की बात भी सही है कि सूरत की कोर्ट का फैसला आने के बाद राहुल गांधी तुरंत कोर्ट में क्यों नहीं गए। पवन खेड़ा के केस में कुछ ही घंटों में कांग्रेस के वकील सुप्रीम कोर्ट पहुंच गए थे, उनको फौरन राहत भी मिल गई थी। तो क्या इसका मतलब ये लगाएं कि कांग्रेस ने जानबूझ कर इस मामले को बड़ा बनने दिया? क्या कांग्रेस को मोदी सरकार के खिलाफ एक और मुद्दे की तलाश थी जिसके आधार पर सभी विरोधी पार्टियों को इकट्ठा किया जा सके। आग दोनों तरफ से बराबर लगी है और बड़ी-बड़ी बातें हो रही हैं। बीजेपी का दावा है कि राहुल ने OBC समाज का अपमान किया और कांग्रेस का कहना है कि BJP राहुल की ‘भारत जोड़ो यात्रा’ से घबरा गई। असल में दोनों जानते हैं कि इन बातों का राहुल के मामले और उनकी सदस्यता जाने से कोई लेना देना नहीं है। अब चूंकि मामला सियासी हो गया है तो छोटी सी बात का फसाना तो बनेगा। जैसे किसी शायर ने लिखा है – बात निकलेगी तो दूर तलक जाएगी।
‘आप की अदालत’ में भोजपुरी स्टार
इस हफ्ते मेरे शो ‘आप की अदालत’ में भोजपुरी सुपरस्टार और गोरखपुर से बीजेपी सांसद रवि किशन मेहमान हैं। उन्होंने अपनी फिल्मों के मजेदार नामों और उनके आकर्षक गानों के बारे में बात की। शुरू-शुरू में रवि किशन ऐसे सवालों का सामना करने में झिझक रहे थे, लेकिन बाद में उन्होंने कहा कि वह देशवासियों से अपने शुरुआती दिनों में निभाए गए रोल्स के लिए माफी मांगना चाहते हैं। संसद सदस्य बनने के बाद रवि किशन अपने रोल और फिल्म के चयन में सावधानी बरत रहे हैं। उन्होंने सूरत की एक अदालत द्वारा राहुल गांधी को 2 साल की सजा सुनाए जाने पर भी टिप्पणी की। दुनियाभर में भोजपुरी बोलने वाले लोग रवि किशन के दीवाने हैं। उन्होंने तेलुगु फिल्म स्टार अल्लू अर्जुन और जूनियर एनटीआर के साथ भी काम किया है। कुल मिलाकर उन्होंने हिंदी, भोजपुरी, तमिल, तेलुगु और कन्नड़ में लगभग 700 फिल्मों में काम किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि उन्होंने गोरखपुर से चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला क्यों किया, जो पिछले 40 सालों से महंत अवेद्यनाथ और उनके शिष्य योगी आदित्यनाथ जैसे साधु-संतों की सीट रही है। उन्होंने मेरे इस सवाल का भी जवाब दिया कि वह अक्सर योगी के कान में क्या कहते हैं, और योगी उनकी बातों पर ठहाके लगाते हैं। आप की अदालत का यह पूरा शो दिलचस्प है और जिस तरह से रवि किशन ने मेरे सवालों का जवाब दिया वह देखने लायक है। यह शो शनिवार और रविवार रात 10 बजे और रविवार सुबह 10 बजे इंडिया टीवी पर प्रसारित किया जाएगा।
WHY CONGRESS DELAYED IN SEEKING STAY ON RAHUL’S CONVICTION
The disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a member of Lok Sabha underlines one vital point: Both sides have made a mountain out of a mole hill. In most of his public meetings, Rahul described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a ‘chor’ (thief). His remark could have been ignored as a political statement, but when somebody filed a criminal defamation case, Rahul Gandhi could have chosen a way out. Had he told the court that he had no intention of maligning the entire community, which has Modi as the surname, that he regrets if his remark has hurt anybody, the court could have ended the matter immediately. But Rahul Gandhi insisted on not offering apology. This seems to be his habit. I feel, nobody would have demeaned oneself by tendering apology to a community. Now that the court convicted him and gave him two years’ imprisonment, automatic disqualification from membership of legislature follows as per law. However, there was no need on part of the executive to show alacrity. The government could have waited for two or four days. It would not have mattered much. The Congress could have lost the opportunity in making it a big issue. The Congress party could have secured a stay on the conviction. Normally such things happen in defamation cases. If you look at it from BJP’s point of view, its party leaders may be right in asking why Rahul Gandhi did not approach higher court after he was convicted. In Pawan Khera’s case, the Congress rushed its lawyers to Supreme Court and got him immediate relief from arrest. Should one speculate that Congress deliberately wanted to blow Rahul’s conviction issue out of proportion? Was Congress trying to project this as a big issue against Modi government in order to unite the opposition? I feel, the fire has been lit from both sides and the issue is being blown out of proportion. BJP alleged that Rahul defamed an OBC community (to which Modi belongs) and Congress alleged that Modi is scared because of Rahul’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Both the parties know this very well that these points have nothing to do with Rahul’s case and disqualification. Now that the issue has become political, it is bound to have far-reaching repercussions. In Urdu, there is a phrase: ‘Baat Nikalegi Toh Door Talak Jayegi’.
A BHOJPURI STAR IN ‘AAP KI ADALAT’
Bhojpuri super star and Gorakhpur BJP MP Ravi Kishan was the guest in my show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ this week. He spoke about the funny names of his movies and their catchy songs. Initially, Ravi Kishan felt shy while facing such questions, but later said that he wants to apologize to the people of India for the funny roles that he played in his earlier days. After becoming a member of Parliament, Ravi Kishan is careful about selecting roles and films. He also commented on Rahul Gandhi being sentenced to two years’ jail by a Surat court. Ravi Kishan is a popular celebrity in the Bhojpuri speaking belt. He has also worked with Telugu film stars Allu Arjun and Junior NTR. In all, he has worked in nearly 700 films in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. He told me why he decided to contest from Gorakhpur, which for the last 40 years, had been electing sadhus including Mahant Avedyanath and his disciple Yogi Aditynath. He also replied to my question why he is often seen whispering into Yogi’s ear, and Yogi guffaws at his remarks. दस साल पुरानी गलती का खामियाज़ा भुगत रहे हैं राहुल
आपराधिक मानहानि के मामले में दोषी ठहराए जाने के बाद शुक्रवार को लोकसभा सचिवालय ने राहुल गांधी को संसद की सदस्यता के लिए अयोग्य ठहरा दिया। राहुल की लोकसभा सदस्यता जाने के बाद से राजनीतिक बवाल शुरू हो गया है। कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं ने विभिन्न शहरों में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। बीजेपी नेताओं ने आरोप लगाया कि राहुल ने नरेंद्र मोदी के ओबीसी समुदाय को बदनाम करने की कोशिश की। कांग्रेस नेता और वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी ने कहा कि फैसले को चुनौती दी जाएगी क्योंकि इसमें कई खामियां हैं। हम इसे सेशन कोर्ट और हाईकोर्ट में ले जाएंगे। मानहानि के संबंध में एक मूलभूत सिद्धांत यह है कि ये किसी व्यक्ति विशेष के विरुद्ध होना चाहिए न कि सामान्य लहजे में कही गई बातों को इसका आधार बनाया जाए। अभिषेक मनु सिंघवी कानून के जानकार हैं और उन्हें पता था कि फिलहाल जो कानून है उसके मुताबिक राहुल की सदस्यता छिननी तय है। दस जुलाई 2013 को लिली थॉमस बनाम यूनियन ऑफ इंडिया मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने फैसला दिया था कि अगर किसी व्यक्ति को दो साल या उससे ज्यादा की सजा हो जाए तो वह संसद या विधानसभा का सदस्य नहीं रह सकता। कोर्ट ने तुरंत अयोग्यता का आदेश दिया था। डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह की अगुवाई वाली तत्कालीन सरकार इसे बदलने के लिए एक अध्यादेश लाई। लेकिन राहुल गांधी ने यह कहकर उसका विरोध किया था कि ऐसे अध्यादेस को फाड़कर रद्दी की टोकरी में फेंक देना चाहिए। राहुल ने उस समय के प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह के लिए शर्मनाक स्थिति पैदा कर दी थी।अब दस साल बाद राहुल को दो साल की सजा सुनाई गई है और सुप्रीम कोर्ट का यह फैसला उनपर लागू होता है। इसी फैसले के आधार पर उत्तर प्रदेश में विधानसभा सदस्य अब्दुल्ला आजम की सदस्यता खत्म हो चुकी है। अब्दुल्ला आजम को भी ट्रायल कोर्ट ने दो साल की सजा दी थी। कांग्रेस अब इस लड़ाई को सियासी पिच पर लड़ना चाहती है। अब राहुल गांधी को मोदी के सबसे बड़े विरोधी के तौर पर प्रोजेक्ट किया जाएगा। कांग्रेस के नेताओं की तरफ से बार-बार ये कहा जाएगा कि राहुल ही अकेले ऐसे नेता हैं जो नरेंद्र मोदी से नहीं डरते। राहुल गांधी ने अपनी सदस्यता गवां दी लेकिन माफी नहीं मांगी। मोदी का मुकाबला राहुल ही कर सकते हैं। लेकिन ये तो मानना पड़ेगा कि राहुल गांधी ने 10 साल पहले जो किया वही घूम फिरकर उनके सामने आ गया। अगर दस साल पहले उन्होंने मनमोहन सिंह के अध्यादेश का विरोध नही किया होता, उसे ‘पूरी तरह से बकवास’ नहीं बताया होता और उनकी सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले को पलट दिया होता तो सजा होने के बाद भी राहुल गांधी की संसद की सदस्यता को कोई खतरा नहीं होता।
तेजस्वी यादव और गुजराती
बिहार के उपमुख्यमंत्री और आरजेडी प्रमुख तेजस्वी यादव ने भी मंगलवार को एक गलती कर दी। उन्होंने कह दिया कि आजकल जितने ठग हैं, सब गुजरात से हैं क्योंकि आजकल गुजरातियों की ठगी माफ है। तेजस्वी यादव विपक्षी दलों के नेताओं के ख़िलाफ़ ईडी-सीबीआई की कार्रवाई पर नाराजगी जाहिर कर रहे थे और इसी गुस्से में उन्होंने गुजरातियों को ठग बता दिया। अब आरजेडी के नेता कह रहे हैं कि उनका मतलब नीरव मोदी और मेहुल चोकसी से था। राहुल गांधी ने भी अदालत में यही सफाई दी थी कि उन्होंने सभी मोदियों को नहीं सिर्फ नरेन्द्र मोदी और नीरव मोदी और ललित मोदी को चोर कहा था। लेकिन अदालत में उनकी दलील काम नहीं आई। इसलिए बेहतर तो यही होगा कि नेता किसी भी पार्टी के हों, संभलकर बोलें। वरना, बयान के चक्कर में मुसीबत में पड़ सकते हैं।
केजरीवाल और मोदी
वैसे जो मोदी विरोधी हैं उन्हें आम आदमी पार्टी के मुखिया अरविन्द केजरीवाल से सीखना चाहिए। केजरीवाल एक बार अदालत में माफी मांगने के बाद संभल गए हैं। वे भी नरेन्द्र मोदी को दिन रात कोसते हैं लेकिन इतना ख्याल रखते हैं कि ऐसी बात मुंह से न निकल जाए जिससे अदालत के चक्कर काटने पड़ें। गुरुवार को भी केजरीवाल ने दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी पर जमकर हमला किया। ‘मोदी हटाओ, देश बचाओ’ रैली में केजरीवाल ने आरोप लगाया कि प्रधानमंत्री दिनभर यही सोचते रहते हैं-‘किसको जेल में डालना है और कौन उनका विरोध कर रहा है? वो चिड़चिड़े हो गए हैं और कम सोते हैं, उन्हें नींद न आने की बीमारी है। उन्हें देश के लोगों पर गुस्सा उतारने के बजाए अच्छे डॉक्टर को दिखाना चाहिए।’ केजरीवाल ने प्रधानमंत्री के लिए जिस तरह की भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया वो ना तो नैतिकता की दृष्टि से सही है और ना ही शालीनता की नजर से। केजरीवाल प्रधानमंत्री की नीतियों पर सवाल उठा सकते हैं, उनके काम की आलोचना कर सकते हैं। इसका लोकतंत्र में सबको अधिकार है और केजरीवाल को भी इसका हक़ है। लेकिन देश की जनता द्वारा चुने गए सर्वोच्च नेता पर व्यक्तिगत हमला करना लोकतंत्र में स्वीकार्य नहीं है। प्रधानमंत्री के बारे में ये कहना कि उन्हें नींद ना आने की बीमारी है, असभ्यता है। राजनीति का यह गिरता स्तर देश के लिए चिंता की बात है।
TEN-YEAR-OLD MISTAKE NOW HAUNTS RAHUL
With the Lok Sabha Secretariat disqualifying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday following his conviction in a criminal defamation case, the political ball has started rolling. Congress workers held protests in different cities. BJP leaders alleged that Rahul tried to defame the OBC community that Narendra Modi belongs to. Congress leader and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, the verdict will be challenged, as it is “full or errors…. We will take it to the sessions court and higher courts. There is a fundamental principle regarding defamation which is that it should be against a specific person and not in generic terms”. Singhvi is an experienced lawyer. He knew that Rahul Gandhi was bound to lose his membership. On July 10, 2013, Supreme Court in Lily Thomas versus Union of India case, had ordered that any MP or MLA sentenced to two years or more of imprisonment, shall automatically be disqualified in Parliament and assembly. The disqualification will be applicable immediately. The then UPA government of Dr Manmohan Singh had tried to overturn this verdict by bringing an ordinance, but, paradoxically, it was Rahul Gandhi who opposed the ordinance and tore its copy dramatically at a press conference. At that time, Rahul had created an embarrassing situation for the Prime Minister, and the government had to withdraw the ordinance. Ten years later, Rahul has been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment and the apex court order is applicable to him. It was on the basis of this verdict that UP MLA Abdullah Azam was disqualified as the trial court had given him two years’ sentence. Congress now wants to fight this issue on a political pitch. Rahul Gandhi will now be projected as the biggest rival to Narendra Modi. Congress leaders will now repeat it ad nauseum that Rahul is the only opposition leader who is not afraid of Modi. They will say that Rahul lost his membership of Parliament, but did not tender apology. One must however agree that the mistake that Rahul committed ten years ago by tearing the ordinance has now come to haunt him. Had he not opposed Dr Manmohan Singh’s ordinance by describing it as “a complete nonsense’, had the Supreme Court order been overturned, there would have been no danger to Rahul’s membership of Lok Sabha.
TEJASHWI YADAV AND GUJARATIS
Bihar Deputy CM and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav has also committed a mistake. On Tuesday, he remarked that thugs (frauds) can get away scot-free if they are Gujaratis. He was expressing anger over ED and CBI taking action against opposition leaders. Tejashwi Yadav did not name anybody, but he did say ‘Gujarati thugs’. RJD leaders now say that Tejashwi’s remark was against fugitive economic offenders like Mehul Choksi and Nirav Madoi. Rahul Gandhi, too, had clarified in Surat court that he did not name all Modis as thieves, but had only said Narendra Modi, Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi are thieves. But his clarification did not hold water. It would be advisable if leaders of all political parties take utmost care while making such sweeping remarks.
KEJRIWAL AND MODI
Modi-baiters must learn from AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. The Delhi CM, after offering apology in court in a defamation case, is now careful with his remarks. He criticizes Narendra Modi day in and day out, but takes care to ensure that no defamatory remark is made so that he can be hauled before the court. On Thursday, at his ‘Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao’ rally in Delhi, Kejriwal alleged that Modi has been conspiring daily whom to put in jail. “He remains irritable throughout the day, because he sleeps less. He should see a good doctor because he is suffering from insomnia”, said Kejriwal. The language that Kejriwal used against Modi is neither morally acceptable nor decent. Kejriwal can question Modi’s policies, he can criticize his work, everybody has this right in a democracy, but targeting the supreme leader elected by the people of this country is not acceptable in a democracy. To say that the Prime Minister is suffering from insomnia is utterly uncivilized. To stoop such a level in politics are a matter of concern.
