द कश्मीर फाइल्स: लैपिड की टिप्पणी भद्दी है, फिल्म नहीं
फिल्म ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ के बारे में एक इज़रायली फिल्म निर्माता नेदाव लैपिड द्वारा की गई अपमानजनक टिप्पणी पर भारत में कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया देखने को मिली । इज़रायल के राजदूत को माफी मांगनी पड़ी। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर उन कश्मीरी पंडितों के ज़ख्मों को कुरेद दिया जिन्हें नब्बे के दशक में घाटी से पलायन का शिकार होना पड़ा था।
गोवा में हाल ही में समाप्त हुए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव में लैपिड ने जूरी प्रमुख के तौर पर समापन समारोह में कहा, ‘ इस अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिता में 15 फिल्में थीं। इनमें 14 फिल्मों में सिनेमाई गुण थे और उनपर ज्वलंत चर्चाएं हुईं । 15 वीं फिल्म ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ को देखकर सदमा लगा। हम परेशान हो गए। हमें ये महसूस हुआ कि ये एक भद्दी और प्रोपेगैंडा फिल्म है और इसे ऐसे प्रतिष्ठित फिल्म फेस्टिवल में मुक़ाबला करने के लिए नहीं भेजा जाना चाहिए था।’
इस फिल्म के प्रमुख अभिनेता अनुपम खेर, निर्देशक विवेक अग्निहोत्री, गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत और कई शीर्ष हस्तियों ने इस टिप्पणी के लिए नेदाव लैपिड की आलोचना की। भारत में इज़रायल के राजदूत नौर गिलोन को एक बयान जारी करना पड़ा जो एक माफीनामा जैसा था।
इज़रायल के राजदूत ने कहा, ‘मैं कोई फिल्म विशेषज्ञ नहीं हूं, लेकिन मुझे पता है कि ऐतिहासिक घटनाओं का गहराई से अध्ययन करने से पहले उनके बारे में बात करना असंवेदनशीलता और ढीठता को दर्शाता है। यह घटना भारत के लिए एक जख्म है, इसके पीड़ित लोग अभी-भी आसपास हैं। वे आज भी इसकी कीमत चुका रहे हैं।’ इज़रायल के राजदूत ने कहा, ‘लैपिड को ‘शर्मिंदा’ होना चाहिए क्योंकि उन्होंने फिल्म महोत्सव (आईएफएफआई) में जज के पैनल की अध्यक्षता करने के भारत के निमंत्रण का सबसे अधिक दुरुपयोग किया।’ राजदूत ने कहा-‘भारत और इज़रायल के बीच दोस्ती बहुत मजबूत है और लैपिड की टिप्पणी उन रिश्तों पर कोई असर नहीं डालेगी।’
मंगलवार को दिल्ली में अनुपम खेर के साथ एक संयुक्त संवाददाता सम्मेलन में इज़रायल के महावाणिज्यदूत कोब्बी शोशानी ने कहा, ‘फिल्म में कश्मीरी पंडितों के बारे में बहुत कड़ा संदेश दिया गया है और यह प्रोपेगंडा फिल्म नहीं है।’ द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ के मुख्य अभिनेता अनुपम खेर ने कहा, यह ‘एक बीमार दिमाग और मानसिक रूप से अस्थिर व्यक्ति’ का बयान प्रतीत होता है।’ महावाणिज्यदूत के माफी मांगने के बाद अनुपम खेर ने कहा, ‘मेरा ग़ुस्सा अब शांत हो गया है। लैपिड ने जिस तरह से यह आपत्तिजनक बयान दिया वह भारत को बदनाम करने और आईएफएफआई की कामयाबी पर कालिख मलने की सोची-समझी साज़िश है।’
आईएफएफआई जूरी के सदस्य और भारतीय फिल्म निर्माता सुदीप्तो सेन ने ट्विटर पर एक बयान जारी किया: ‘जूरी के अध्यक्ष नेदाव लैपिड ने फिल्म द कश्मीर फाइल्स के बारे में जो कुछ भी कहा है … पूरी तरह से उनकी निजी राय थी।’
फिल्म निर्माता अशोक पंडित ने कहा, ‘लैपिड ने घाटी में अमानवीय प्रताड़ना झेलने वाले सात लाख कश्मीरी पंडितों की भावनाओं का मजाक उड़ाया है।‘ पटकथा लेखक और गीतकार मनोज मुंतशिर ने कहा, ‘इस तरह की टिप्पणी इज़रायली फिल्म निर्माता की मूर्खता को प्रदर्शित करती है।’
वहीं दूसरी तरफ सोशल मीडिया पर तरह-तरह की प्रतिक्रियाएं देखने को मिलीं। अभिनेत्री स्वरा भास्कर ने ट्वीट किया-‘( जो भी लैपिड ने कहा) ज़ाहिर तौर पर यह पूरी दुनिया के लिए साफ है…. बात यह है कि आप फिल्म समारोह में फिल्मों को जज करने के लिए आमंत्रित कर रहे हैं। ..जब वे फिल्मों को जज करते हैं तो अब आप पागल हो रहे हैं।’
शिवसेना सांसद प्रियंका चतुर्वेदी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘कश्मीरी पंडितों के लिए न्याय जैसे संवेदनशील मुद्दे को प्रचार की वेदी पर कुर्बान कर दिया गया। … उन्होंने (नेदाव लैपिड) जो टिप्पणियां कीं वे इस बारे में थीं कि ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ में दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण घटनाओं के विषय को जिस तरह से दिखाया गया उसने इसे एक प्रोपेगेंडा फिल्म बना दिया है, उन्होंने जूरी के अन्य सदस्यों की असहजता का भी जिक्र किया।’ शिवसेना नेता संजय राउत ने आरोप लगाया कि फिल्म निर्माता ने इस फिल्म को बनाकर पैसा कमाया लेकिन कश्मीरी पंडितों की पीड़ा अभी खत्म नहीं हुई है।
‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ के फिल्म निर्देशक हैं विवेक अग्निहोत्री । इस फिल्म में 1990 में घाटी से कश्मीरी पंडितों के पलायन की कहानी है, जब पाकिस्तान समर्थित आतंकवाद अपने चरम पर था। अनुपम खेर और मिथुन चक्रवर्ती ने इसमें मुख्य भूमिकाएं निभाई हैं।
अनुपम खेर ने गुस्से में लैपिड के बारे में कहा, ‘कुछ लोग हैं जो सच सुनना या देखना नहीं चाहते । वे इस फिल्म को केवल इसलिए निशाना बना रहे हैं क्योंकि यह कश्मीर घाटी की कड़वी सच्चाई को दिखाती है।
नेदाव लैपिड के बयान पर ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ के निर्देश विवेक अग्निहोत्री ने भी नाराज़गी जताई। उन्होंने कहा कि नेदाव लैपिड तो आतंकवादियों के नैरेटिव को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं। कश्मीर फाइल्स का एक-एक फ्रेम सच्चा है। अग्निहोत्री ने कहा कि अगर कोई भी व्यक्ति इस फिल्म की एक भी बात को झूठ साबित कर दे, तो वो फिल्में बनाना छोड़ देंगे।
गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत ने कहा, ‘नेदाव लैपिड ने फिल्म समारोह में अपना एजेंडा चलाने की कोशिश की, जो उन्हें नहीं करना चाहिए था।’ असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत विश्व शर्मा ने कहा, “लैपिड को ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ के बारे में इस तरह की टिप्पणी करने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है। उनकी टिप्पणी को गंभीरता से लेने की जरूरत नहीं है। जूरी के सदस्य भगवान नहीं होते।’
सबसे बड़ा सवाल ये है कि क्या कश्मीर फाइल्स एक प्रोपेगैंडा फिल्म है ? मैं उन कश्मीरी पंडितों के परिवारों से मिला हूं जिन्होंने अपने करीबियों को खून में लथपथ देखा है। जिन्हें आतंकवादियों की गोलियों ने अपना घर-बार छोड़ने पर मजबूर कर दिया। जिन कश्मीरी पंडितों ने दहशत का वो मंजर देखा है वो कहते हैं कि कश्मीर फाइल्स ने उनके दर्द को, उनपर हुए जुल्म को, एकदम सही रूप में दिखाया है। मैंने उन परिवारों को फिल्म देखने के बाद अपने पुराने दिन याद करके रोते-बिलखते देखा है। तो फिर ये फिल्म प्रोपेगैंडा कैसे हो सकती है ? ये फिल्म भद्दी कैसे हो सकती है?
इसलिए ये बात सही है कि लैपिड ने कश्मीरी पंडितों के पलायन और उनपर हुए अत्याचार का मजाक उड़ाया है।असल में तो जो लैपिड ने कहा वो भद्दा और प्रोपेगैंडा है। वो एक बेहूदा मजाक है।
अब सवाल ये है कि लैपिड जैसे शख्स को फिल्म समारोह जूरी का अध्यक्ष किसने बनाया ? क्या जूरी का हेड तय करने से पहले लैपिड के बैकग्राउंड को चेक नहीं किया गया था? ये इज़रायली फिल्म निर्माता पहले भी इस तरह के बयान दे चुके हैं। उनका करियर काफी विवादास्पद रहा है।
मैंने इज़रायल के कुछ लोगों से लैपिड के बारे में पूछा तो उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे मुल्क में इस आदमी (लैपिड) को कोई कुछ नहीं समझता। उन्होंने इस बात पर हैरानी जताई और कहा कि पता नहीं आप लोग उसे इतनी अहमियत क्यों दे रहे हैं।
मुझे लगता है कि ‘द कश्मीरी फाइल्स’ ने एक कड़वा सच सामने रखा है, कश्मीरी पंडितों के दर्द की सच्ची तस्वीर लोगों के सामने रखी है। कोई कुछ भी कहे, ये फिल्म याद दिलाती है कि कश्मीरी पंडितों ने कितनी तकलीफों का सामना किया है।
मैं कश्मीरी पंडितों का बहुत सम्मान करता हूं। बेघर होने और अत्याचारों का सामना करने के बाद भी उन्होंने कभी दूसरों के आगे हाथ नहीं फैलाया। वे खुद्दारी से सिर उठाकर जीते हैं। वे वापस अपने घरों को लौटना चाहते हैं, कश्मीर की मिट्टी को माथे से लगाना चाहते हैं।ये फिल्म याद दिलाती है कि कश्मीरी पंडितों को उनके घरों में वापस भेजना, वहां बसाना और उन्हें एक सुरक्षित ज़िंदगी देना, इस देश की जिम्मेदारी है। हमें इसे पूरा करना चाहिए।
The Kashmir Files: Lapid’s remark is vulgar, not the movie
The disparaging remark made by an Israeli filmmaker Nadav Lapid about the movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ triggered a strong backlash in India and the Israeli ambassador had to tender an apology. This incident has reopened the wounds of Kashmiri Pandits who had to suffer exodus from the Valley during the Nineties.
Lapid, as chairman of the jury at the just concluded International Film Festival of India in Goa, said at the closing ceremony, “There were 15 films in the international competition – the front window of the festival. Fourteen out of them had the cinematic qualities and evoked vivid discussions. We were, all of us, disturbed and shocked by the 15th film, ‘The Kashmir Files’, that felt to us like a propaganda, vulgar movie, inappropriate for an artistic competitive section of such a prestigious film festival.”
Lead actor Anupam Kher, director Vivek Agnihotri, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant and several top personalities lashed out at Lapid for making this remark, and the Israeli ambassador to India Naor Gilon had to issue a statement which amounted to a virtual apology.
The Israeli ambassador said, “I am no film expert but I do know that it is insensitive and presumptuous to speak about historic events before deeply studying them and which are an open wound in India, because many of the involved are still around and still paying a price.” The ambassador said, Lapid should be “ashamed” for abusing India’s invitation to chair the jury at IFFI. The ambassador said the friendship between India and Israel is very strong and it will survive the damage done by Lapid’s remarks.
At a joint press conference with Anupam Kher in Delhi on Tuesday, Israeli Consul General Kobbi Shoshani said, the film carried a very strong message about Kashmiri Pandits and it was not a propaganda movie. Anupam Kher, the lead actor in The Kashmir Files, said, this seems to be the remark of “a sick mind and mentally unstable person”. After the Consul General apologized, Anupam Kher said, “My anger has now subsided. The manner in which Lapid made this objectionable remark appears to be part of a well-calculate conspiracy to tarnish the success of IFFI and India’s image.”
Member of IFFI jury, Indian filmmaker Sudipto Sen issued a statement on Twitter: “Whatever has been said by Jury chairman Nadav Laid about the film The Kashmir Files…was completely his personal opinion.”
Filmmaker Ashok Pandit said, Lapid has made a mockery of the sentiments of seven lakh Kashmiri Pandits who suffered inhuman travails in the Valley. Screen write Manoj Muntashir said, the remarks display the foolishness of the Israeli filmmaker.
On the other end of the social media spectrum, actor Swara Bhaskar tweeted: “(What Lapid said) Apparently it’s pretty clear to the world ….The thing is if you have jury for film festivals you’re inviting them specifically to judge the films..now you are getting mad when they judge the film.”
Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi tweeted: “A sensitive issue of justice for Kashmiri Pandits was sacrificed at the altar of propaganda. …The comments he made were about the way one movie that was nominated, namely, The Kashmir Files, has treated the subject of the unfortunate events and made it a propaganda film, he spoke of the discomfort of the other jury members too.’ Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut alleged the filmmaker made his money by making this movie but the travails of Kashmiri Pandits are yet to be over.
‘The Kashmir Files’ made by director Vivek Agnihotri tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in 1990, when Pakistan-backed terrorism was at its peak. Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty played lead roles in it.
An angry Anupam Kher said about Lapid: “There are some people who do not want to listen or watch the truth. They are targeting this movie only because it shows the bitter truth of Kashmir Valley.”
The director of the movie Vivek Agnihotri said, “Lapid is encouraging the narrative of terrorists. Each and every single frame of my movie depicts the truth. Let anybody come forward and point out one single incident in the movie which was untrue, I will stop making movies.”
Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said, “Nadav Lapid tried to run his agenda at the film festival, which he should not have done.” Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Lapid has no right to make such comments about The Kashmir Files. His remark should not be taken seriously. Members of the jury are not gods.”
The main question is: Is The Kashmir Files a propaganda film? I have met Kashmiri Pandit families and have seen their near and dear ones, soaked in blood. They were forced by terrorists to leave their homes. Most of the Kashmiri Pandits who watched the movie said it has honestly depicted their pain and the atrocities that they were subjected to. I have seen Kashmiri Pandits weeping while seeing this movie. Then how can a filmmaker call it a “propaganda movie”? How can it be called “vulgar”?
Nadav Lapid has made a mockery of the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and the atrocities they were subjected to. Lapid’s remark is vulgar, propagandistic and a crude joke.
The next question is: Who made Lapid the chairman of the IFFI jury? Was his background checked before he was selected as chairman of the jury? This Israeli filmmaker made similar outlandish remarks in the past too. His career has been consistently controversial.
I asked some top personalities in Israel about Lapid. They said, nobody in Israel takes Lapid’s remarks seriously. They expressed surprise over the importance that is being given to him in India about his outlandish remarks.
The Kashmir Files move has narrated the truth about the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. There can be no doubt about that, whatever others may say. This movie portrays the searing pain that Kashmiri Pandits were subjected to.
I hold Kashmiri Pandits in great esteem. Despite being homeless and even after facing atrocities, they never begged assistance from others. They walk with their heads high. They want to return to their home and hearth, and kiss the sacred soil of Kashmir. Watching this movie always reminds us of the dire need to send Kashmiri Pandits back to their homes, so that they can live a safe life. This is our collective responsibility, which we must fulfill.
आफताब पर हमला गलत : पुलिस को जांच करने दें, अदालत दोषी को सज़ा देगी
दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने मंगलवार को श्रद्धा के कथित हत्यारे आफताब पूनावाला का नार्को-एनालिसिस टेस्ट कराने की इजाज़त पुलिस को दे दी। 1 और 5 दिसंबर को आफताब का नार्को-एनालिसिस टेस्ट फॉरेंसिक साइंस लैब (एफएसएल) के अधिकारियों द्वारा किया जाएगा। 1 दिसंबर को अंबेडकर अस्पताल में आफताब का प्रि-मेडिकल टेस्ट होगा और फिर 5 दिसंबर को उसका नार्को-एनालिसिस टेस्ट होगा।
श्रद्धा हत्याकांड की जांच शुरू हुए 20 दिन बीत चुके हैं, लेकिन पुलिस को अभी तक इस जघन्य हत्याकांड से जुड़े कुछ अहम सबूत हाथ नहीं लगे हैं। जांच कर रही टीम को नार्को टेस्ट के बाद नए सुराग मिलने की उम्मीद है। श्रद्धा के शरीर के बाकी हिस्से और उसका सैलफोन, कुछ ऐसे अहम सबूत हैं जिन्हें अभी बरामद किया जाना बाकी है।
अभी तक श्रद्धा के शरीर के सिर्फ 13 टुकड़े बरामद हुए हैं। महरौली के जगंल से जबड़ा बरामद हुआ है। जिस फ्लैट में श्रद्धा और आफताब रहते थे, उसके वॉशरूम, किचन और बेडरूम से खून के कुछ धब्बे मिले हैं। चूंकि इस बर्बर हत्या के छह महीने बाद जांच शुरू हुई इसलिए पुलिस को सबूत जुटाने में काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ रही है। हत्या की तारीख, समय और जगह के बारे में जांच टीम को आफताब के बयान पर निर्भर रहना पड़ रहा है। इस हत्या के पीछे के मकसद का अभी तक पता नहीं चल पाया है, लेकिन आफताब ने दावा किया कि जब उसे ऐसा लगा कि श्रद्धा उसे छोड़ सकती है, तब उसने गुस्से में आकर उसका गला घोंट दिया।
इस बीच, सोमवार की शाम रोहिणी के फॉरेंसिक साइंस लेबोरेट्री परिसर में खूब ड्रामा हुआ। खुद को हिंदू सेना के सदस्य बताने वाले कुछ लोग हाथों में तलवार लेकर पहुंचे और पुलिस वैन के अंदर बैठे आफताब पर हमला करने की कोशिश की। लेकिन पुलिस की मुस्तैदी के कारण उनकी कोशिश नाकाम हो गई। इन हमलावरों को रोकने के लिए पुलिसवालों को राइफल ताननी पड़ी । जिस वक्त हमला हुआ, उस वक्त आफताब का पॉलीग्राफ टेस्ट पूरा होने के बाद पुलिस उसे वैन से वापस जेल ले जा रही थी।
कार में आए लोगों ने पुलिस वैन का रास्ता रोक लिया। हमलावर नंगी तलवारें लेकर, हथौड़े और लाठियां लेकर काफी दूर तक पुलिस वैन के पीछे दौड़ते रहे। इन लोगों ने वैन के अंदर बैठे आफताब पर हमला करने की कोशिश की। इनको रोकने के लिए एक पुलिस सब-इंस्पेक्टर को हवा में अपनी सर्विस रिवाल्वर दिखा कर गोली चलाने की धमकी देनी पड़ी। पुलिस वैन में मौजूद में एक पुलिसवाले ने दरवाजा खोला और राइफल दिखाकर इन हमलावरों को डराया।
वैन तेजी से आफताब को लेकर वहां से निकल गई। पुलिस ने दो हमलावरों को हिरासत में ले लिया। एक का नाम निगम गुर्जर है जो ट्रक ड्राइवर है जबकि दूसरे का नाम कुलदीप ठाकुर है और वह कार सेल्स एजेंट है। दोनों गुरुग्राम के रहनेवाले हैं। इस हाई वोल्टेज ड्रामे को एफएसएल लैब के बाहर खड़े मीडियाकर्मियों ने कैमरे में कैद कर लिया।
हमलावरों का दावा है कि वे हिंदू सेना से जुड़े हैं। एक हमलावर चिल्ला रहा था, ‘इसने हमारी बेटी के 35 टुकड़े किए हैं, हम इसके 75 टुकड़े कर देंगे।’ हमलावरों ने कहा कि अगर आफताब पुलिस के साथ पैदल सड़क पर निकला होता तो वे अपनी गाड़ियां उस पर चढ़ा देते। हमलावरों ने हताशा में एफएसएल परिसर के बाहर ट्रैफिक जाम में फंसी पुलिस वैन पर अपनी तलवारों से हमला कर दिया।
वहीं मौके पर मौजूद रिपोर्टर्स ने कई बार कहा कि ‘पुलिस अपना काम कर रही है, आप कानून हाथ में न लें’, लेकिन तलवारें लिए हुए हमलावर चिल्लाते रहे कि वे आफताब को सज़ा देने आए हैं। इनमें से एक कह रहा था-‘ मैं भी 2 बेटियों का बाप हूं। हम आफताब को छोड़ेंगे नहीं।’ साफ लगा कि ये लोग पूरी प्लानिंग के साथ आए थे और अगर पुलिस मुस्तैद न होती तो एक बहुत बड़ा हादसा हो सकता था। वैन के अंदर दिल्ली पुलिस की तीसरी आर्म्ड बटालियन के पांच पुलिसकर्मी आफताब के साथ बैठे थे। इन पुलिसकर्मियों का नेतृत्व सामने बैठा एक सब-इंस्पेक्टर कर रहा था।
इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि आफताब ने एक जघन्य अपराध किया है। जिस तरह से उसने एक बेकसूर लड़की के 35 टुकड़े कर दिए, उसने लोगों का दिल दहला दिया। लेकिन उस पर हमला करना और कानून को अपने हाथ में लेना बिल्कुल गलत है। आफताब को सज़ा देने का काम अदालत करेगी।
आफताब के खिलाफ सबूत जुटाने का काम पुलिस का है। हमने देखा कि पुलिस, हत्यारे आफताब के खिलाफ पुख्ता केस तैयार करने के लिए कितनी मेहनत कर रही है। जंगलों में भटककर 6 महीने पहले फेंके गए लाश के टुकड़े इकट्ठा करना आसान काम नहीं है। पानी से भरा तालाब खाली कराकर वहां श्रद्धा के सिर के अवशेष ढूंढना आसान काम नहीं है। शातिर हत्यारे आफताब से सच उगलवाना आसान काम नहीं है इसीलिए पुलिस, पॉलिग्राफ टेस्ट का सहारा ले रही है, इसके बाद नार्को टेस्ट करवाया जाएगा क्योंकि इस केस में अपराध को साबित करना पुलिस के लिए एक बड़ा चैलेंज है।
हत्या 6 महीने पहले हुई, हत्यारे ने बड़ी चालाकी से सारे सबूत मिटा दिए। लाश के 35 टुकड़े करके जंगलों में फेंक दिए। श्रद्धा का मोबाइल फोन पानी में फेंक दिया। जिस घर में श्रद्धा की हत्या की थी उसे केमिकल से साफ कर दिया। इसलिए इस बात को समझने की जरूरत है कि पुलिस को इस मामले में कितनी सूझ-बूझ से काम लेना पड़ रहा है। इसलिए आफताब को तलवारों से हमले कर सज़ा देने की कोशिश करने की हरकत करना शर्मनाक और नागवार है। पुलिस को अब उन लोगों के खिलाफ भी एक्शन लेना चाहिए जिन्होंने पुलिस वैन पर हमला किया। ये लोग इतना भी नहीं समझते कि आज के ज़माने में अपराधी कितनी चालाकी से काम करते हैं। ना जाने कहां-कहां से हत्या करने के तरीके ढूंढते हैं और फिर सबूत मिटाने के लिए कैसे-कैसे तरीकों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
इसी तरह एक खौफनाक हत्या पूर्वी दिल्ली के पांडवनगर के पास त्रिलोकपुरी में हुई। बिहार के रहनेवाले एक 52 साल के शख्स अंजन दास को उसकी पत्नी और बेटे ने शराब में नींद की गोली मिला कर दे दिया, और बाद में गला रेतकर हत्या कर दी। अगले दिन उसके शरीर के 22 से ज्यादा टुकड़े किए और फ्रिज में रख दिया। फिर मां-बेटे ने मिलकर शरीर के इन टुकड़ों को कई जगहों पर फेंक दिया ।
श्रद्धा की हत्या के ठीक 12 दिन बाद जून में यह जघन्य हत्या हुई थी। पुलिस ने महिला पूनम (48) और उसके बेटे दीपक (25) को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। महिला ने आरोप लगाया कि उसका पति उसकी बेटी और बहू पर बुरी नजर रखता था। तभी उसने बेटे दीपक के साथ मिलकर उसे मारने का फैसला किया। स्पेशल पुलिस कमिश्नर (क्राइम ब्रांच) रवींद्र यादव ने कहा, पांच जून से तकरीबन पांच दिन तक रामलीला मैदान से मानव अंग मिले थे और तकनीकी विश्लेषण के जरिए शव की पहचान की गई ।
इस केस में भी हत्या के बाद शव के टुकड़े-टुकड़े करने का पैटर्न बिल्कुल श्रद्धा हत्याकांड की तरह था। अब सवाल है कि ऐसे दिल दहलाने वाले आइडिया आजकल कहां से मिल रहे हैं?
माना जा रहा है कि आफताब को यह आइडिया एक अमेरिकन वेब सीरीज़ क्राइम थ्रिलर देखकर आया था। यह एक ख़तरनाक ट्रेंड है। आजकल लोगों के मोबाइल फोन तक में वेब सीरीज़ से लेकर तमाम फिल्में और वीडियो देखने की सुविधा है। एक क्लिक में तमाम सूचनाएं मिल जाती है। लेकिन आसानी से सूचना मिलने की इस सुविधा का इस्तेमाल अपराध में न हो, और इस पर नियंत्रण हो सके, यह किसी चुनौती से कम नहीं है।
Unfair to attack Aftab: Let police investigate and courts punish the guilty
A Delhi court on Tuesday granted permission to Delhi Police to carry out narco-analysis test of Shraddha’s alleged killer Aaftab Poonawala on December 1 and 5. The narco-analysis test will be carried out by Forensic Science Lab officials. Aaftab will undergo pre-test medical examination at Ambedkar Hospital on December 1. He will be produced for narco-analysis test on December 5.
Already 20 days have passed since the Shraddha murder probe began, but police is yet to get hold of some vital evidences related to this gruesome murder. Investigators hope to unearth fresh clues after the narco-analysis test. Remaining body parts and Shraddha’s cell phone are some of the vital evidences yet to be recovered.
Till now, only 13 body parts have been recovered, while the jaw, said to be of Shraddha’s, has been recovered from the Mehrauli forest area. Blood stains have been found from the washroom, kitchen and bedroom of the flat where the couple lived. Since the probe began six months after the gruesome murder, police has to depend on Aaftab’s statement about the date, time and place of murder. The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, despite Aaftab claiming that he strangulated her in the heat of moment, when he suspected that Shraddha may leave him.
Meanwhile, there was drama at the Forensic Science Laboratory complex in Rohini on Monday evening, when a group of sword-wielding men, claiming to be members of Hindu Sena, tried to attack Aaftab sitting inside a police van, but their attempt was quickly foiled. The police van was taking Aaftab back to jail after his polygraph test was completed.
The police van was waylaid by a group of men who had come in a car. The men, waving swords, and some carrying hammers and lathis, tried to attack Aaftab who was inside the van.
A police sub-inspector, guarding the alleged killer, pointed his service revolver in the air and threatened to fire a warning shot. Inside the van, one of the security guards whipped out his rifle and pointed at the attackers menacingly.
The van quickly whisked Aaftab away, while police detained two of the attackers, Nigam Gujjar, a truck driver and Kuldeep Thakur, a car sales agent, both residents of Gurugram. The high-voltage drama was captured on camera by mediapersons waiting outside the FSL lab.
The attackers claimed that they were from Hindu Sena. One of the attackers shouted ‘He chopped out daughter into 35 pieces, we will chop him into 70 pieces’. The attackers said they would have run over their vehicles on Aaftab, had he walked out with police on the road. The attackers, out of frustration, struck their swords on the police van, as it was caught in a traffic jam outside the complex.
Mediapersons who watched the drama asked the attackers who gave them the right to take law into their hands. The attackers replied that they had come for revenge, and would chop Aaftab into 70 pieces. One of the attackers said, “I am also the father of two girls. We will not let Aaftab live.” The group appeared to come fully prepared with the intent to attack Aaftab. There were five policemen of Delhi Police 3rd armed battalion sitting with Aaftab inside the van. They were led by a sub-inspector who was sitting in front.
There can be no two views about the barbaric manner in which Aaftab killed Shraddha and chopped it into 35 pieces. Already there is anger among common people across India, but to take law into own hands and attack Aaftab, is unjustified. This should be left to the courts to decide.
Already investigators are toiling hard to prepare a strong open-and-shut case against Aaftab. To hunt for body parts thrown in a dense jungle six months ago is not an easy task. To remove water from a pond in search of Shraddha’s skull is not an easy job. To make Aaftab tell the truth about the manner in which he killed and disposed of the body is not easy, particularly when the killer is lying. To prove Aaftab’s crime in this case is a big challenge for police.
The murder took place six months ago, the body was chopped into 35 pieces and cleverly disposed of for nearly two months. Shraddha’s cellphone was thrown into a river. The flat where she was strangulated was cleaned up with chemical. One must understand how police is trying to set all pieces of evidence in the jigsaw puzzle. Any attempt to punish Aaftab by using swords is shameful and unacceptable. Police must take action against those men who attacked the van carrying the killer. In this age of internet, killers have become clever and they adopt new means of erasing evidence.
A similar gruesome murder took place in Trilokpuri near Pandav Nagar, East Delhi, where a 52-year-old man, Anjan Das, from Bihar was killed by his wife and her son from a previous marriage, after he was sedated and his throat was slit. The next day, his body was copped into more than 22 pieces, which were stored in a refrigerator, and the mother-son duo dumped these body parts at several places.
This gruesome murder took place in June, exactly 12 days after Shraddha was murdered in South Delhi. Police have arrested the woman Poonam (48) and her son Deepak (25). The woman alleged that her husband was sexually harassing her daughter and daughter-in-law, and that’s when she and her son decided to kill him. Special Police Commissioner (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said, some body parts were found from Ramlila Maidan from June 5 for five days, and the body had to be identified through technical analysis.
The pattern of disposal of body in this case is similar to Shraddha Walkar murder case. The question is: From where do people get such gruesome ideas on how to dispose of dead bodies?
In the case of Aaftab, it was said that he had watched an American web series crime thriller. This is a dangerous trend. With the advent of smart phones and latest information technology, people get easy access to such modus operandi. All information on internet is available with the help of a click. It is a big challenge to ensure such information do not lead to gory and gruesome murders.
श्रद्धा हत्याकांड को नेता धार्मिक मुद्दा न बनाएं
गुजरात में इन दिनों चल रहे चुनाव प्रचार में श्रद्धा की बर्बर हत्या के ज़िम्मेदार आफताब पूनावाला का मुद्दा उठाया गया है। अपनी लिव-इन पार्टनर के टुकड़े करने वाले आफताब को लेकर ऑल इंडिया मजलिस इत्तेहादुल मुसलमीन के चीफ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने गुरूवार को गुस्से का इज़हार किया। ओवैसी ने कहा, इस मामले को धार्मिक नजरिए से न देखा जाय । ओवैसी ने कहा, ‘यह लव जिहाद का मुद्दा नहीं है । यह एक महिला के शोषण और अत्याचार से जुड़ा मसला है और इसे इसी नजरिए से देखा जाय । इस घटना की निंदा की जानी चाहिए।’
ओवैसी ने ये बात तब कही जब बीजेपी नेता और असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत विश्व शर्मा दिल्ली में पार्टी की एक रैली में कहा था कि भारत को आफताब जैसे लोगों की जरूरत नहीं है, देश में समान नागरिक संहिता की ज़रूरत है और ‘लव जिहाद’ के खिलाफ कानून बनना चाहिए। ओवैसी ने कहा, ‘इस (आफताब) मामले पर बीजेपी की राजनीति पूरी तरह से गलत है। बर्बर हत्या की ऐसी घटनाएं दुखद हैं लेकिन उनको सियासी रंग नहीं देना चाहिए । ऐसे मामलों को हिंदू-मुसलमान के नज़रिये से नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए।’
ओवैसी का कहना था कि बीजेपी आफताब के मुद्दे को सिर्फ इसलिए उठा रही है क्योंकि आफताब मुसलमान है। गोधरा की अपनी रैली में ओवैसी ने बिलकिस बानो का मुद्दा उठाया, कहा, ‘आज गुजरात का मुसलमान पूछ रहा है कि आपने बिलकिस बानो के मामले में बलात्कार और हत्या के मुजरिमों को रिहा क्यों किया?’
ओवैसी गुजरात के मुस्लिम वोटरों को यह बताने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं कि अगर श्रद्धा का हत्यारा हिंदू होता तो बीजेपी इस मामले को तूल न देती। ओवैसी ने महिलाओं की हत्या करनेवाले हिंदुओं की एक लिस्ट पढ़ी ।ओवैसी ने अपने समर्थकों से कहा कि अपराध नया नहीं है। लेकिन आफताब मुसलमान है इसलिए केस को ज्यादा तूल दिया जा रहा है। अगर कोई हिंदू आरोपी होता तो फिर कोई सवाल न पूछता।’
असदुद्दीन ओवैसी के साथ समस्या ये है कि वे बताते कम हैं और गुमराह ज्यादा करते हैं। ओवैसी ये नहीं बताते कि बिलकिस बानो के मुजरिमों को कोर्ट ने जेल की सजा पूरी होने के बाद क्यों रिहा किया। उनकी ये बात सही है कि आफताब और श्रद्धा का मामला लव जिहाद का नहीं है। श्रद्धा पहले से जानती थी कि आफताब मुसलमान है। आफताब अगर अपना मजहब छिपाता और हिंदू बनकर श्रद्धा से दोस्ती करता तो इसे लव जिहाद कह सकते थे।
लेकिन, ओवैसी की यह बात भ्रामक है कि आफताब मुसलमान है, इसलिए इसको ज्यादा तूल दिया जा रहा है । यह मामला देश भर में इसलिए चर्चत हुआ क्योंकि आफताब ने बड़ी बेरहमी से एक बेकसूर लड़की की हत्या की। इस मामले ने लोगों का दिल इसलिए दहलाया क्योंकि जिस लड़की ने आफताब के लिए अपना घर-बार और परिवार को छोड़ दिया, उसके आफताब ने 35 टुकड़े कर दिए। श्रद्धा के शरीर के टुकड़ों को फ्रिज में स्टोर किया। हर रोज आधी रात के बाद जंगल में जाकर शरीर के टुकड़े फेंके। इस बर्बर कांड ने लोगों को रुला दिया। श्रद्धा ने अपने माता-पिता से झगड़ा करके आफताब को जीवन साथी चुना, लेकिन आफताब ने उसका कटा हुआ सिर फ्रिज में रखा। आफताब उसी घर में आराम से खाना ऑर्डर करता रहा और अपना खाना उसी फ्रिज में रखता रहा जिसमें श्रद्धा के शरीर के कटे अंग रखे हुए थे।
ओवैसी को समझना चाहिए कि दरिंदगी करने वाला, इतनी बेदर्दी से लाश के टुकड़े करने वाला इतना पत्थर दिल इंसान, अगर कोई हिंदू होता तो भी इस मामले की इतनी ही चर्चा होती। ओवैसी साहब भूल गए कि 10 साल पहले दिल्ली में निर्भया के साथ गैंगरेप और बर्बरता हुई थी और यह घटना पूरे भारत में मीडिया की सुर्खियां बनी थी। उसके साथ बर्बरता करनेवाले मुस्लिम नहीं थे। इसलिए ऐसे मामले को हिंदू-मुसलमान का मुद्दा बनाने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है।
मैं मानता हूं कि असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत विश्व शर्मा को आफताब का मुद्दा ‘लव जिहाद’ कह कर पेश नहीं करना चाहिए था। लेकिन ओवैसी को भी हिंदू हतयारों के नाम नहीं गिनाने चाहिए थे। लेकिन सारा दोष सिर्फ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी को नहीं दिया जा सकता। यह समझने की भी जरूरत है कि ओवैसी जैसे नेताओं को यह सब कहने का मौका तभी मिलता है जब कुछ सिरफिरे तत्व धर्म के नाम पर ऐसे काम करते हैं।
सूरत के भगवान महावीर यूनिवर्सिटी कैंपस में गुरुवार को विश्व हिंदू परिषद और बजरंग दल समर्थकों ने तीन मुस्लिम युवकों की पिटाई कर दी। हमलावर यूनिवर्सिटी के छात्र नहीं थे। वे बाहर से आए थे और उन्होंने मास्क पहन रखा था। उन्होंने मुस्लिम युवकों को हिंदू लड़कियों से दूर रहने की चेतावनी दी और आराम से कैंपस से लौट गए। जब इस घटना का वीडियो वायरल हुआ तो पता चला कि 20 से ज़्यादा लोग भगवान महावीर यूनिवर्सिटी के कैंपस में घुसे थे। इन लोगों ने तीन मुस्लिम युवकों को पकड़कर पीटा था।
यूनिवर्सिटी प्रशासन भी शुरुआत में इस घटना को लेकर ख़ामोश रहा। जिन तीन छात्रों को पीटा गया था उन्होंने भी पुलिस में कोई शिकायत नहीं की। लेकिन, जब वीडियो वायरल हुआ तो विश्व हिंदू परिषद ने मुसलमान छात्रों को मारने की ज़िम्मेदारी ली। वीएचपी के स्थानीय कोषाध्यक्ष दिनेश नवाडिया ने कहा कि यह कदम आत्मरक्षा के लिए उठाया गया । उन्होंने कहा, ‘हमें इस बात की जानकारी मिली थी कि सूरत के भगवान महावीर कॉलेज की हिंदू लड़कियों को ‘लव जेहाद’ में फंसाने की बड़ी साजिश चल रही है। वीएचपी और बजरंग दल ने इस शिकायत की जांच की और हमें इसमें सच्चाई मिली। हमारे कार्यकर्ताओं ने हिंदू लड़कियों की सुरक्षा के लिए ऐसा किया।’ यूनिवर्सिटी के रजिस्ट्रार ने अब इस मामले की जांच कराने का आश्वासन दिया है।
लड़कियों की सुरक्षा और धर्म के नाम पर सूरत में जिस तरह मारपीट की गई उसकी निंदा की जानी चाहिए। अगर एक मिनट के लिए यह मान भी लिया जाए कि मुस्लिम लड़कों ने हिंदू लड़कियों को बहलाने-फुसलाने की कोशिश की तो भी बजरंग दल के लोगों को कानून हाथ में नहीं लेना चाहिए था। अगर उन्हें कोई शक था या कोई शिकायत थी तो उन्हें पुलिस के पास जाना चाहिए था।
यह शर्म की बात है कि जिन लोगों ने मारपीट की, वे सीना ठोंक कर कह रहे हैं कि उन्होंने मुस्लिम युवाओं को पीटा। इसी को कहते हैं चोरी और ऊपर से सीना जोरी। इन धर्म के ठेकेदारों को कम से कम इस बात का लिहाज कर लेना चाहिए था कि यह यूनिवर्सिटी उस भगवान महावीर के नाम पर है जिन्होंने अहिंसा और सद्भाव का संदेश दिया। पुलिस को हिंसा करने वालों के खिलाफ एक्शन लेना चाहिए।
Leaders must keep religion away from Shraddha murder issue
The case of the barbaric murder of Shraddha by her live-in partner Aaftab Poonawala was raised during the ongoing Gujarat election campaign on Thursday, with All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi saying it should not be given a “religious angle”. Owaisi said, “it is not an issue of love jihad. It is about exploitation and abuse against a woman. It should be viewed in this manner and condemned.”
Owaisi’s reaction came in response to BJP leader and Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma telling a party rally in Delhi that “India does not need a person like Aaftab, and there must be a Uniform Civil Code and a law against love jihad”. Owaisi appeared to be angry when he said, “BJP’s politics on this (Aaftab case) is completely wrong. Such incidents of barbaric murder are saddening, they should not be politicized and given a Hindu-Muslim angle.”
Owaisi’s argument was that BJP is raising the Aaftab issue only because he is a Muslim. He raised the Bilkis Bano issue at his Godhra rally and said, “Today the Muslims of Gujarat are asking why the rape and murder convicts in Bilkis Bano case were released from jail”. Owaisi is trying to tell Muslim voters in Gujarat that if the killer of Shraddha had been a Hindu, BJP would not have highlighted this case. Owaisi read out a list of Hindus who killed women in the recent past. “This type of crime is not new, but just because Aaftab is a Muslim, the case is being highlighted. If the killer had been a Hindu, no question would have been raised”, Owaisi told his supporters.
The problem with Asaduddin Owaisi is that he reveals less, and misleads more. Owaisi is not revealing why the court released the convicts in Bilkis Bano case after completion of their jail term. Owaisi may be right that the Aaftab-Shraddha case is not a matter of ‘love jehad’. Shraddha knew from the beginning of her relationship that Aaftab was a Muslim. Had Aaftab concealed his religion, it could have been termed a ‘love jehad’.
Owaisi’s remarks are misleading not because the killer is a Muslim, but the fact is, the matter was highlighted because Aaftab had strangulated and chopped Shraddha’s body into 35 pieces. The murder was heart rending because Shraddha had left her home and parents to stay with Aaftab, but her lover chopped her body into pieces, stored them inside a refrigerator and threw them in the forest every night. This barbaric act made many people weep. People were shocked and sad to find Shraddha choosing her life partner after quarrelling with her parents, but in the end, Aaftab put her severed head inside the refrigerator. Not only this, Aaftab calmly ordered food from outside and kept them in the fridge along with the severed body parts.
Owaisi must understand, such a cruel and barbaric act would have been highlighted in the media even if the stone-hearted killer had been a Hindu. Owaisi probably forgot that the barbaric gangrape and murder of Nirbhaya in Delhi ten years ago, became media headlines across India. Her killers were not Muslims. Owaisi must realize that such cruel acts of crime must never be made a Hindu-Muslim issue.
I agree, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma should not have labelled the Aaftab-Shraddha affair a ‘love jehad’ one. Similarly, Owaisi should not have listed out the name of Hindus who killed women in the recent past. Owaisi gets his chance to raise such issues when some fringe elements indulge in illegal acts.
In Bhagwan Mahavir University campus in Surat on Thursday, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal supporters bashed up three Muslim youths. The attackers were not university students. They came from outside and were wearing masks. They warned the Muslim youths to stay away from Hindu girls. When the video went viral, facts emerged that more than 20 such people had entered the campus. They rounded up three Muslim youths and started beating them up.
The university administration did not react in the beginning. The three Muslim youths, who were beaten up, did not file any police complaint. Dinesh Navadiya, local VHP treasurer, described this as a ‘self-defence act’. He said, “We got information that a big conspiracy was going on to entrap Hindu girls of Bhagwan Mahavir college of Surat in ‘love jehad’. VHP and Bajrang Dal investigated the complaint and we found truth in it. Our workers did this to protect Hindu girls.” The university registrar has now promised to get the matter investigated.
The act of beating up youths in the name of religion is condemnable. Even for a minute, if we agree that Muslim youths were trying to entrap Hindu girls, Bajrang Dal workers had no business taking law into their own hands. They could have complained to police, but the brazen manner in which they declared that they have bashed up Muslim youths, is condemnable. Self-proclaimed protectors of religion must know that the university is named after Bhagwan Mahavir, the apostle of peace and non-violence. Police must take action against the guilty.
श्रद्धा की हत्या पूर्व नियोजित थी, चिट्ठी ने खोली आफताब की पोल
श्रद्धा वॉकर हत्याकांड में जो तथ्य और सबूत सामने आ रहे हैं वह इस बात की ओर इशारा कर रहे हैं कि कथित हत्यारे आफताब अमीन पूनावाला ने पहले से प्लानिंग कर, काफी सोच-समझकर इस वारदात को अंजाम दिया था। लेकिन गुरुवार को दिल्ली के रोहिणी स्थित फॉरेंसिक लैब में जब लाई-डिटेक्टर (पॉलीग्राफी) टेस्ट हुआ, उस वक्त आफताब शांत और तनावमुक्त नजर आया।
दिल्ली पुलिस के एक अधिकारी ने इंडिया टीवी के रिपोर्टर को बताया कि आफताब के हावभाव बिल्कुल सामान्य नज़र आ रहे हैं , और उसकी चालढाल ऐसी है, मानो उसने कुछ न किया हो। वह बयान भी ऐसे दे रहा है मानो उससे कोई पूछताछ नहीं हो रही हो, बल्कि वो किसी रिश्तेदार के घर पर आया हो। इस अधिकारी ने कहा कि पॉलीग्राफी टेस्ट के दौरान वह ‘कूल और नॉर्मल’ दिखा। बुधवार को आफताब की पॉलीग्राफी टेस्ट नहीं हो पाई थी क्योंकि उसे हल्का बुखार और ज़ुकाम था।
गुरुवार के पॉलीग्राफ टेस्ट के दौरान उसके ब्लड प्रेशर, पल्स रेट, सांस की गति आदि को नोट किया गया जिसके आधार पर यह तय किया जा सके कि वह सच बोल रहा है या नहीं। सोमवार को अंबेडकर अस्पताल में उसका नार्को टेस्ट होने की संभावना है। नार्को टेस्ट के दौरान शख्स को ऐसी दवा दी जाती है, जिससे व्यक्ति नीम बेहोशी की हालत में होता है और ऐसे में जो कुछ भी उससे पूछा जाता है, उसका वह बिल्कुल खुल कर जवाब देता है।
इस बीच महाराष्ट्र पुलिस की एक बड़ी चूक सामने आई है। आज से ठीक दो साल पहले 23 नवंबर 2020 को श्रद्धा ने यह आशंका जाहिर की थी कि आफताब उसके टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर देगा। श्रद्धा ने अपने तुलिंज पुलिस स्टेशन में यह लिखित शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। लेकिन उस वक्त पुलिस ने इस शिकायत को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया और दोनों के बीच मेल मिलाप कराने के बाद श्रद्धा से शिकायत वापस लेने को कहा।
श्रद्धा ने अपनी चिट्ठी में लिखा: ‘मैं श्रद्धा विकास वॉकर, उम्र 25 साल…आफताब पूनावाला, उम्र 26 साल, फोन XXXXX xxxx, जो वर्तमान में एआरसी भवन के पास बी-302, रीगल अपार्टमेंट्स, विजय विहार कॉम्प्लेक्स में रहता है, के खिलाफ शिकायत देती हूं कि वह मेरे साथ बदसलूकी करता है और मुझे मारता है। आज उसने गला दबाकर मेरी जान लेने की कोशिश की। उसने मुझे डराया और ब्लैकमेल किया कि वो मुझे मार देगा और मेरे टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके कहीं दूर फेंक देगा। वह पिछले 6 महीने से मुझे मारता-पीटता है, लेकिन मेरे पास पुलिस में जाने की हिम्मत नहीं थी क्योंकि उसने मुझे धमकी दी है कि वह मुझे जान से मार देगा।
‘उसके माता-पिता यह जानते हैं कि वह मुझे मारता है और उसने मेरी जान लेने की कोशिश की। वे इस बात को भी जानते हैं हम एक साथ रहते हैं और वे वीकेंड पर आते हैं। मैं अब तक उसके साथ रह रही थी क्योंकि हम उसके परिवार की मर्ज़ी से शादी करने वाले थे। लेकिन अब मैं उसके साथ नहीं रह सकती। ऐसे में मेरे साथ होने वाले किसी भी शारीरिक नुकसान के लिए वही ज़िम्मेदार होगा। वह मुझे जब कहीं देखता है तो जान से मारने या चोट पहुंचाने की धमकी देता है और ब्लैकमेल करता है।’
श्रद्धा की चिट्ठी ऐसे समय में सामने आई जब आफताब ने दिल्ली के साकेत कोर्ट में जज के सामने कहा था कि ‘जो कुछ भी हुआ, वह अचानक गुस्से के कारण हुआ था’, लेकिन श्रद्धा की यह चिट्ठी आफताब के झूठ की पोल खोल देती है। यह चिट्ठी वसई में श्रद्धा के पड़ोसी ने जारी किया था जिसके साथ वह दो साल पहले अपनी शिकायत दर्ज कराने पालघर के पास तुलिंज पुलिस स्टेशन गई थी। मंगलवार को यह चिट्ठी सार्वजनिक होने तक महाराष्ट्र पुलिस ने इसके बारे में खुलासा नहीं किया था।
वसई के डीसीपी सुहास बावचे ने कहा कि श्रद्धा ने बाद में अपनी लिखित शिकायत वापस ले ली थी। शिकायत वापसी की चिट्ठी में श्रद्धा ने लिखा था कि आफताब के माता-पिता आए थे और दोनों के बीच सुलह हो गई है।
तुलिंज पुलिस स्टेशन के अधिकारियों ने बुधवार को श्रद्धा की शिकायत और वापसी पत्र दिल्ली पुलिस की एक टीम को सौंप दिया। तुलिंज थाने के अधिकारियों ने कहा, 23 नवंबर, 2020 को शिकायत मिली और एक जांच अधिकारी श्रद्धा और आफताब दोनों से बात करने के लिए उनके फ्लैट पर गया था, जिसके बाद श्रद्धा ने शिकायत वापस ले ली।
इस तथ्य के बावजूद कि पुलिस के दबाव में शिकायत वापस ले ली गई थी, श्रद्धा की यह चिट्ठी साफ तौर पर हत्यारे के जानलेवा इरादों को दर्शाती है। अगर पालघर पुलिस ने आफताब के खिलाफ समय पर कार्रवाई की होती तो श्रद्धा की जान बचाई जा सकती थी। श्रद्धा ने जब चिट्ठी पुलिस को लिखी थी उस वक्त महाराष्ट्र में उद्धव ठाकरे की महाविकास अघाड़ी की सरकार थी। श्रद्धा की चिट्ठी पर दिल्ली से लेकर महाराष्ट्र तक चर्चा हो रही है। लोगों के मन में कई सवाल हैं। महाराष्ट्र में अब एकनाथ शिंदे की सरकार है और देवेंद्र फडणवीस महाराष्ट्र के डिप्टी सीएम हैं। फडणवीस ने वादा किया है कि वह पूरे मामले की जांच कराएंगे कि पुलिस ने इस मामले को हल्के में क्यों लिया?
श्रद्धा की चिट्ठी सामने आने के बाद बीजेपी सीधे शिवसेना नेता उद्धव ठाकरे पर हमला कर रही है। बीजेपी नेता राम कदम ने आरोप लगाया कि जिस वक्त श्रद्धा ने पालघर पुलिस से आफताब की शिकायत की थी उस वक्त ‘उद्धव के राज में मुंबई पुलिस बार मालिकों से वसूली वाला कांड कर रही थी।’ बुधवार को श्रद्धा के पिता विकास वॉकर ने इंडिया से कहा- ‘ पालघर पुलिस अगर उस वक्त सख्त एक्शन लेती तो आज श्रद्धा जिंदा होती’
दिल्ली पुलिस के अधिकारी इस मामले में महाराष्ट्र पुलिस की ओर से साफतौर पर हुई दो चूकों की तरफ इशारा करते हैं।
पहली चूक यह कि पालघर पुलिस ने श्रद्धा की शिकायत को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया और उसे अपनी शिकायत वापस लेने के लिए मजबूर किया। दूसरी चूक यह कि श्रद्धा के पिता ने सितंबर में मुंबई पुलिस में अपनी बेटी के लापता होने की शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। मुंबई पुलिस ने आफताब को तलब कर उससे पूछताछ की थी। यह पूछताछ हल्के ढंग से की गई और उसे जाने दिया गया।
यह जानने के बावजूद कि आफताब दिल्ली में रह रहा है, मुंबई पुलिस ने दिल्ली पुलिस को इस केस के बारे में नहीं बताया। दो महीने बाद 9 नवंबर को मुंबई पुलिस ने श्रद्धा के गायब होने के मामले में दिल्ली पुलिस से संपर्क किया। दो महीने के इस अंतराल के कारण दिल्ली पुलिस के लिए सबूत जुटाने का काम काफी कठिन हो गया है। श्रद्धा के शरीर के टुकड़े करने वाले हथियार और श्रद्धा के शरीर के टुकड़ों को बरामद करने में दिल्ली पुलिस को मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
महाराष्ट्र पुलिस को लिखी श्रद्धा की जो चिट्ठी सामने आई है और जो खुलासा हुआ है वह पूरे सिस्टम और पूरे समाज पर भी सवाल उठाता है। अगर दो साल पहले से श्रद्धा को लगता था कि आफताब उसके टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर देगा तो उसकी ऐसी क्या मजबूरी थी कि वह आफताब के साथ रह रही थी ? अगर श्रद्धा ने पुलिस में शिकायत दी थी तो पुलिस ने इसे गंभीरता से क्यों नहीं लिया, इसकी भी जांच होनी चाहिए।
Murder was pre-meditated: Shraddha’s letter nails Aaftab’s lie
Even as facts and circumstantial evidence point towards a pre-meditated murder of Shraddha Walkar, the alleged killer Aaftab Amin Poonawala, on Thursday, appeared to be calm and relaxed while undergoing lie-detector (polygraphy) test conducted by Forensic Science Laboratory experts in Rohini, Delhi.
Senior Delhi Police officials told India TV reporter, it does not appear as if Poonawala is undergoing intense interrogation. He appeared ‘cool and normal’ during the polygraphy test, one official said. The test could not be conducted on Wednesday as the 28-year-old alleged killer was down with fever and cold.
During Thursday’s polygraph test, his blood pressure, pulse rate and respiration parameters were noted to determine whether he was speaking the truth. The narco-analysis test is likely to take place on Monday in Ambedkar Hospital. During narco-analysis test, the person is administered medication which reduces his self-consciousness and allows him to speak freely.
Meanwhile, glaring lapses on part of Maharashtra Police have come to light. A handwritten complaint written by Shraddha Walkar two years ago to Tulinj police station, dated November 23, 2020, has emerged in which she had clearly expressed fear that Aaftab wanted to kill him and cut her into pieces. This complaint was not taken seriously at that time by police, who after a meeting with both, asked Shraddha to withdraw her complaint.
The letter reads: “I Miss Shraddha Vikas Walkar, age 25, would like to report Aaftab Amin Poonawala, age 26, Phone xxxxx xxxx, who currently lives at B-302, Regal Apartments, Vijay Vihar Complex, near ARC Bhavan, has been abusing me and been beating me up. Today he tried to kill me by suffocating me and he scares and blackmails me that he will kill me and cut me up in pieces and throw me away. It’s been 6 months he has been hitting me but I did not have the guts to go to the police because he would threaten to kill me.”
“His parents are aware that he beats me and that he tried to kill me. They also know about we living together in east and they visit on weekends. I lived with him till date as we were supposed to get married anytime soon and had the blessings of his family. Henceforth I am not willing to live with him so any kind of physical damage should be considered coming from him as he has been blackmailing me to kill me or hurt me whenever he sees me anywhere.”
Shraddha’s letter surfaced a day after Aaftab had told a Delhi Saket court judge that “whatever that happened was in the heat of the moment”, but this letter nails his lie. The letter was released by Shraddha’s neighbour in Vasai, with whom she had gone to Tulinj police station near Palghar to file her complaint two years ago. Maharashtra police had not disclosed this letter until it became public on Tuesday.
Suhas Bawche, DCP of Vasai said Shraddha later withdrew her complaint in writing. In her complaint withdrawal letter, Shraddha wrote that Aaftab’s parents had come and brought about a patch-up between her and Aaftab.
Tulinj police station officials handed over Shraddha’s complaint and her withdrawal letter to a Delhi police team on Wednesday. Tulinj police officials said, the complaint was received on November 23, 2020, and an investigating officer went to their flat to speak to both Shraddha and Aaftab, after which she withdrew her complaint in writing.
The letter clearly outlines the murderous intentions of the killer, despite the fact that the complaint was withdrawn under police pressure. Shraddha’s life could have been saved had Palghar police taken timely action against Aaftab. When Shraddha wrote this complaint, Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government was in power in Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra deputy CM has promised to investigate the entire matter as to why Palghar police took this complaint lightly.
After this letter came to light, BJP leaders in Maharashtra attacked Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. BJP leader Ram Kadam alleged that when Shraddha filed her complaint, “Thackeray’s Mumai police was busy collecting bribes from bar owners”. On Wednesday, Shraddha’s father Vikas Walkar told India TV, “had Palghar police taken timely action, my daughter’s life could have been saved”.
Delhi Police officials point to two glaring lapses on part of Maharashtra police. One, Palghar police did not take Shraddha’s complaint about threat to her life seriously and forced her to withdraw her complaint. Two, Shraddha’s father had filed a missing person complaint in September with Mumbai Police about his daughter. Mumbai police had summoned Aaftab and had questioned him. He was questioned lightly and was allowed to go.
Despite knowing that Aaftab was staying in Delhi, Mumbai police did not get in touch with Delhi Police. It was only two months later that Mumbai police contacted Delhi Police on November 9 about Shraddha’s missing case. The two months’ gap has made the work of Delhi Police difficult in recovering the weapons and implements used for cutting Shraddha’s body into pieces and tracing the missing body parts.
Shraddha’s complaint to Maharashtra police raises serious questions about how our police system deals with cases of domestic violence. Shraddha had clearly written in her complaint that Aaftab was threatening to kill him and cut her into pieces.
What was the compulsion that made Shraddha stay as a live-in partner with Aaftab even after the beatings and threats? Why didn’t police take serious cognizance of her complaint? These are issues that need to be probed thoroughly.
जेल वाली जैन टीवी : मंत्री, मालिश, व्यंजन
दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की तिहाड़ जेल में एक आरोपी रेपिस्ट के हाथों मालिश कराने के खुलासे के ठीक एक दिन बाद बुधवार को बीजेपी ने एक और वीडियो जारी किया। इस वीडियो में जैन तिहाड़ जेल के अंदर बाहर से मंगाए गए लज़ीज़ व्यंजन का लुत्फ उठाते नजर आ रहे हैं।
बीजेपी प्रवक्ता शहजाद पूनावाला ने एक वीडियो जारी किया जिसमें जैन को अपने सेल के अंदर बिस्तर पर बैठकर फ्रूट, सलाद और अन्य पौष्टिक भोजन लेते दिखाया गया है। इस वीडियो में दिख रहा है कि एक आदमी जेल के अंदर सत्येंद्र जैन की सेल में आता है, खाना परोसता है और जैन के पास एक कूड़ेदान भी रखता है। जैसे ही यह वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर जारी हुआ, मुंबई के मरीन ड्राइव पर पोस्टर नजर आने लगे जिसमें लिखा था-‘Aam Aadmi gets Khas Service, Massage gives the Wrong Message’. (आम आदमी को मिलती है खास सेवा, मसाज से जाता है गलत संदेश)
सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील ने मंगलवार को कोर्ट में यह दावा किया था कि उन्हें ठीक से खाना नहीं मिल रहा है और उनका वजन 28 किलोग्राम गिर गया है। लेकिन तिहाड़ जेल के एक अधिकारी ने इस दावे को खारिज करते हुए कहा था कि जैन का वजन अबतक 8 किलो बढ़ चुका है। बुधवार को जैन के वकील ने फिर से वीडियो के ‘लीक’ होने का मुद्दा उठाया । उन्होंने कहा कि ‘तिहाड़ जेल मसाज पार्लर बन गया है’ इस तरह की हेडिंग मीडिया में चलाई जा रही है। कोर्ट ने तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन को खाने के मुद्दे पर गुरुवार दोपहर 2 बजे तक जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया। वहीं कोर्ट ने तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन से सोमवार को जैन की मेडिकल रिपोर्ट पेश करने को कहा है।
बीजेपी प्रवक्ता शहजाद पूनावाला ने वीडियो जारी करते हुए ट्वीट किया, ‘ मीडिया से एक और वीडियो! रेपिस्ट से मालिश कराने और उसे फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट बताने के बाद सत्येंद्र जैन को शानदार भोजन का आनंद लेते देखा जा सकता है! अटैन्डेंट उन्हें ऐसे भोजन परोसते हैं जैसे कि वह छुट्टी पर किसी रिसॉर्ट में हों! केजरीवाल जी ने यह तय किया है कि हवालाबाज को वीवीआईपी मजा मिले न कि सजा!’ बीजेपी ने मांग की है कि जैन को कैबिनेट से बर्खास्त कर दूसरी जेल में शिफ्ट किया जाए।
इसमें सबसे चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि सत्येंद्र जैन की ओर से यह दावा किया जाता रहा कि मालिश करनेवाला फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट था। लेकिन वह फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट नहीं बल्कि रेपिस्ट निकला। जेल अधिकारियों ने उस शख्स की पहचान रिंकू नामक कैदी के तौर पर की जिसे पिछले साल एक मासूम बच्ची से बलात्कार के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। आरोपी के खिलाफ POCSO एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया था और उसे जैन की सेल के पास कैदी वार्ड में रखा गया था।
जैसे ही मालिश करनेवाले शख्स की पहचान उजागर हुई बीजेपी ने आरोप लगाया कि आप सरकार ने तिहाड़ जेल को ‘स्पा और मसाज पार्टी’ में बदल दिया है। दिल्ली के डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया ने तिहाड़ जेल में जैन की फिजियोथेरेपी पर सवाल उठाने के लिए बीजेपी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया था और दावा किया था कि जैन को चोट लग गई थी और उन्हें जेल के अंदर फिजियोथेरेपी दी जा रही थी।
ऐसे कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि अब एक और वीडियो सामने आने वाला है जिसमें सत्येंद्र जैन की पत्नी जेल के अंदर सेल में जाकर उन्हें खाना खिला रही हैं। ये भी खबर है कि एक वीडियो में सत्येंद्र जैन जेल के अंदर अपनी पार्टी के लोगों के साथ मीटिंग करते दिखाई देंगे। जैन के वकील ने मंगलवार को अदालत से गुहार लगाई कि तिहाड़ जेल की अथॉरिटी को यह आदेश दिया जाए कि सीसीटीवी फुटेज को लीक ना होने दें।
ईडी ने जवाब में कहा कि हमने कुछ भी लीक नहीं किया और ना आगे हम ऐसा करेंगे। ईडी के वकील ने कहा कि फुटेज तब लीक हो सकती है जब सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील को इसकी पेन ड्राइव दी गई। सबसे दिलचस्प बात यह है कि सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील ने एक बार भी कोर्ट में यह नहीं कहा कि उनके क्लाइंट की मालिश का जो वीडियो दिखाया जा रहा है वो गलत है।
अब जैन की मालिश करने वाले जेल के कैदी के बारे में आपको बता दें। रिंकू पर एक मासूम बच्ची के साथ बलात्कार का आरोप है और उसके खिलाफ पॉक्सो कानून और आईपीसी की धारा 376, 506 और 509 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। वह कोई फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट या पैरा मेडिकल एक्सपर्ट नहीं है। अब सवाल उठता है कि बलात्कार जैसे जघन्य अपराध के आरोपी को दिल्ली के एक मंत्री की मालिश करने की इजाजत कैसे दी गई? बीजेपी प्रवक्ता गौरव भाटिया ने पूछा कि क्या अरविंद केजरीवाल एक बलात्कारी का समर्थन कर रहे हैं? भाटिया का सवाल था, एक आरोपी दूसरे आरोपी की मसाज कैसे कर सकता है?
कांग्रेस ने भी इस मुद्दे पर अरविंद केजरीवाल को घेरा। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता सुप्रिया श्रीनेत ने कहा कि “केजरीवाल जिसे फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट बता रहे थे वो तो एक बलात्कारी निकला। अब केजरीवाल इस पर क्या कहेंगे ? जो लोग राजनीति बदलने की बातें करते थे वो बड़ी जल्दी बदल गए।“ कांग्रेस की एक अन्य नेता अलका लांबा ने मांग की कि अब केजरीवाल को देश से माफी मांगनी चाहिए और सत्येंद्र जैन को बर्खास्त करना चाहिए। वहीं आप नेता और दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय ने इन आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा-‘यह आम आदमी पार्टी को बदनाम करने की साजिश है क्य़ोंकि MCD के चुनाव में 4 दिसंबर को जनता बीजेपी का इलाज करने वाली है, इसलिए ये सब किया जा रहा है।’
जेल में बलात्कार का आरोपी कैदी मंत्री की मालिश कर रहा है और जैन के साथी मंत्री कह रहे हैं कि बीजेपी वाले साज़िश कर रहे हैं। मालिश और साज़िश में क्या फर्क है, यह इस बात से पता चल जाता है कि मालिश करने वाला कौन है। कल तक केजरीवाल इस मालिश को इलाज बता रहे थे। लेकिन यह साफ हो गया कि यह ना कोई ट्रीटमेंट हो रहा था ना कोई थेरेपी। जेल में विचाराधीन क़ैदी मंत्री जी के सिर, पैर और कमर की मालिश कर रहा है। जिस पर बलात्कार का आरोप है, वह फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट कैसे हो गया, यह कोई नहीं बताता । सवाल है, केजरीवाल सत्येंद्र जैन के हर गुनाह का बचाव क्यों कर रहे हैं ? सीसीटीवी पर सत्येंद्र जैन की मालिश पकड़ी गई तब भी केजरीवाल उनका बचाव क्यों कर रहे हैं ? इस सवाल का जवाब मिलना ज़रूरी है।
केजरीवाल के लिए मंगलवार को एक और बुरी खबर दिल्ली से आई। आम आदमी पार्टी के नाराज कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपनी ही पार्टी के विधायक गुलाब सिंह यादव की पिटाई कर दी। पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने विधायक को दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटा। विधायक जी जैसे-तैसे अपनी अपनी जान बचाकर वहां से निकले और थाने पहुंचकर FIR दर्ज कराई। जिन कार्यकर्ताओं पर गुलाब सिंह यादव FIR दर्ज कराई वो भी थाने पहुंच गए और उल्टा विधायक के खिलाफ ही आप की महिला कार्यकर्ता के साथ बदतमीज़ी की शिकायत दर्ज करा दी।
दरअसल, आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक गुलाब सिंह एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर श्याम विहार में अपने कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बैठक कर रहे थे। लेकिन बैठक के दौरान विधायक जी पर कार्यकर्ताओं ने टिकट बेचने का आरोप लगाते हुए हंगामा कर दिया। कार्यकर्ताओं ने ‘चोर – चोर’ के नारे लगाए गए। नाराज कार्यकर्ता विधायक के साथ मारपीट करने लगे। जैसे ही विधायक गुलाब सिंह ने बाहर निकलने की कोशिश की तो कार्यकर्ताओं ने उन्हें दौड़ा दिया। आखिर में खुद को बचाने के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक को मौके से भागना पड़ा।
आम आदमी पार्टी के एक कार्यकर्ता सुमित शैकीन ने आरोप लगाया कि विधायक गुलाब सिंह ने पार्टी का टिकट दिलाने के एवज में एक करोड़ रुपए लिए थे। इस पर विधायक भड़क गए और गाली-गलौज शुरू हो गई। पिछले एमसीडी चुनाव में आम आदमी पार्टी ने सुमित शौकीन को छावला वार्ड से टिकट दिया था। इस बार परिसीमन के बाद इस सीट का नाम बदलकर नंगली सकरावती वार्ड कर दिया गया। सुमित शौकीन अपनी पत्नी ज्योति शौकीन के लिए टिकट मांग रहा था। सुमित का कहना है कि उसने इसके लिए पैसे भी दिए थे लेकिन पार्टी ने गीतू शौकीन को टिकट दे दिया। इसी से सुमित शौकीन नाराज़ था। इसी नाराज़गी को दूर करने के लिए पार्टी ऑफ़िस में बैठक चल रही थी जहां पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने गुलाब सिंह का कॉलर पकड़ा और फिर उनकी पिटाई शुरू कर दी।
शाम में विधायक ने ट्वीट कर सारा दोष बीजेपी पर मढ़ दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि स्थानीय बीजेपी पार्षद के उकसाने के कारण यह हंगामा हुआ। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि बीजेपी पार्षद और इस बार का बीजेपी उम्मीदवार आरोपियों को बचाने के लिए पुलिस थाने में मौजूद थे। लेकिन जब सुमित शौकीन की पत्नी ज्योति शौकीन से इस मुद्दे पर बात की गई तो उन्होंने इंडिया टीवी को बताया कि उनके पति पिछले 8 साल से इलाके में काम कर रहे हैं और टिकट की पहली दावेदारी उनकी थी लेकिन विधायक ने पैसे लेकर दूसरी महिला को टिकट दे दिया। ज्योति ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि विधायक ने उसके पति के साथ बदतमीज़ी की जिसके जवाब में उन्होंने विधायक को तमाचा लगा दिया।
नाराजगी आम आदमी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं की है, पिटाई आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक की हो रही है, लेकिन हर बार की तरह आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा कि बीजेपी उनकी पार्टी को बदनाम करने के लिए मिशन मोड पर काम कर रही है। बीजेपी का एजेंडा केवल केजरीवाल को गाली देने का है इसीलिए ऐसे वीडियो और स्टिंग सामने आ रहे हैं।
गोपाल राय के इन आरोपों का जवाब बीजेपी नेता मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने दिया। उन्होंने केजरीवाल की तुलना लीबिया के पूर्व तानाशाह मुअम्मर गद्दाफी से की। सिरसा ने कहा कि केजरीवाल तो इक्कीसवीं सदी के गद्दाफ़ी हैं। जैसे गद्दाफ़ी के लालच और पैसे की भूख ने उसे वहशी बना दिया था आज वही हाल केजरीवाल का हो गया है।
आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकटों को लेकर पैसे की डिमांड और सप्लाई का यह तीसरा मामला सामने आया है। इन तीनों मामलों में इसे एक्सपोज करने वाले आम आदमी पार्टी के कट्टर ईमानदार कार्यकर्ता हैं। तीनों मामलों में एक्सपोज होने वाले केजरीवाल की पार्टी के कट्टर ईमानदार नेता और कार्यकर्ता हैं। लेकिन केजरीवाल भी अपनी बात के पक्के हैं। कोई कुछ भी बताए, कोई कुछ भी दिखाए, वह मानने को तैयार नहीं है कि उनकी पार्टी में टिकट बिकते हैं।
दिल्ली में भी उनका जवाब वही है जो उत्तराखंड, हिमाचल और गुजरात में उन्होंने कहा। केजरीवाल का दावा है कि उनकी पार्टी चुनाव जीतने जा रही है इसलिए उन्हें बदनाम करने की साजिश हो रही है। वो बता देते हैं कि बीजेपी हारने वाली है इसलिए उनके खिलाफ ऐसी बातें कह रही है। लेकिन केजरीवाल यह नहीं बता पाते कि उनकी पार्टी के लोग स्टिंग ऑपरेशन क्यों कर रहे हैं ? उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोग बयान क्यों दे रहे हैं? और उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोगों ने अपने विधायक के साथ मारपीट क्यों की? केजरीवाल ने अपनी तरफ से पूरी चुप्पी साध रखी है।
Jail’s Jain TV: Minister, Massage and Meals
A day after it was revealed that a jail inmate charged with rape of a girl under POCSO Act was working as a masseur for Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, BJP on Wednesday released another video of Jain having a sumptuous food brought from outside in Tihar jail.
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala released the video that showed Jain sitting on his bed inside a cell having a meal with appetizers, and moving on to salads and nutritious food items. The video shows a man coming inside his cell, serving him food and placing a dustbin near him. As visual and social media flashed the video, posters appeared in Mumbai’s Marine Drive, saying “Aam Aadmi gets Khas Service, Massage gives the Wrong Message”.
On Tuesday, Jain’s lawyer had claimed in court that he was not getting proper food and had lost 28 kg weight. But an official of Tihar jail rejected this claim and said, Jain has gained 8 kg weight till now. On Wednesday, Jain’s lawyer again raised the ‘leak’ of videos and said headings are being flashed in media saying ‘Tihar jail has become a massage parlour’. The court directed the Tihar Jail authorities to file a reply soon for hearing at 2 pm on Thursday on the food issue. The court also sought a medical report from Tihar jail authorities for hearing on Monday.
While releasing the video, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala tweeted: “One more video from media! After taking maalish from rapist and calling him PHYSIO therapist, Satyendra Jain can be seen enjoying sumptuous meal! Attendants serve him food as if he is in a resort on vacation! Kejriwal ji ensured that Hawalabaaz gets VVIP maza not saza!”. BJP has demanded that Jain should be dismissed from cabinet and shifted to another jail.
The most surprising part is that Satyendar Jain has all along been claiming that it was a physiotherapist massaging him, but Tihar jail officials identified him as a jail inmate named Rinku, who was arrested last year on charge of raping an adolescent girl. He had been booked under POCSO Act and was lodged in a ward near Jain’s cell.
After the masseur’s identity came to light, BJP alleged that AAP government has converted Tihar jail into a ‘spa and massage party’. Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia had blamed BJP for questioning the physiotherapy of Jain in Tihar jail and had claimed that Jain was injured and was giving physiotherapy inside jail.
Speculations are rife that another video is going to be released showing Jain’s wife entering the prison cell and feeding her husband. There are reports of another video of Jain holding a meeting with AAP workers inside jail. Jain’s lawyer had pleaded before the court on Tuesday that Tihar jail authorities should be directed to ensure that no more CCTV footage of Jain inside jail be ‘leaked’.
In its reply, Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer said that the videos have not been leaked by ED officials nor will they be leaked in future. The ED lawyer said that the footage may have been leaked when a pen drive of the video was given to Jain’s lawyer. The most interesting part is that Jain’s lawyer did not remark even once inside court that the leakage of ‘massage’ video was unjustified.
Some details about the jail inmate who massaged Jain. Rinku is accused or raping an adolescent girl and has been booked under POCSO Act and under sections 376, 506 and 509 of IPC. He is not a para medical expert or physiotherapist. The question arises: How come a jail undertrial, charged of a heinous crime like rape, was allowed to provide massage to a Delhi minister? BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia asked whether AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is providing cover to a rapist? Bhatia asked, how can one accused give massage to another accused?
Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “those who were claiming to cleanse Indian politics, have changed colours so soon. Kejriwal was claiming that the masseur was a physiotherapist, but he is a rapist.” Another Congress leader Alka Lamba demanded that Kejriwal must tender apology and dismiss Satyendar Jain. AAP leader and Delhi minister Gopal Rai rubbished the allegation and said, “this is a clear attempt to defame our party, because the people of Delhi are going to give BJP a treatment on December 4 MCD polling day”.
The question is: if a jail inmate, that too a rape accused, is giving massage to a minister, and the minister’s party says it is a ‘conspiracy’ on part of BJP, then one must differentiate between ‘maalish’ (massage) and ‘saazish’ (conspiracy). Now since it is known who was the masseur, it is pertinent to point out that two days ago Kejriwal was describing this as a ‘treatment’. Today it is clear that it was neither ‘treatment’ nor a ‘therapy’, but an undertrial prisoner giving a massage to the minister on his head, toes and backside. Nobody from AAP is explaining how a so-called physiotherapist is, in fact, a rapist. The moot question is: Why is Arvind Kejriwal defending Satyendar Jain for these serious lapses? This question needs to be answered by Kejriwal.
There was another bad news for AAP on Tuesday. AAP MLA Gulab Singh Yadav was thrashed and abused by his party workers, and he had to flee. He went to a police station and filed an FIR, but other party workers also reached the police station and filed a counter FIR alleging that Yadav has misbehaved with a female AAP worker.
Gulab Singh Yadav was holding a party meeting in Shyam Vihar in connection with MCD polls. During the meeting, some workers alleged that tickets were sold by the MLA. They chanted slogans like ‘Chor, Chor’ (thief). The party workers shoved and slapped the MLA, and showered abuses. The MLA had to run for his life.
One AAP worker Sumit Shoukeen alleged that the MLA had taken Rs 1 crore for giving a party ticket. This infuriated the MLA and a slang match ensued. In the last MCD elections, AAP had given Sumit Shokeen a ticket from Chhawla ward, but after delimitation, the seat’s name was changed to Nangli Sakrawati ward. Sumit was seeking party ticket for his wife Jyoti Shokeen. He claimed that he had given bribe to party leaders, but the party gave the ticket to another lady, Geetu Shokeen. This led to the altercation at the party workers meeting.
In the evening, the MLA tweeted and laid the blame on BJP. He said, the fracas took place at the instigation of local BJP councillor. He alleged that the local BJP candidate went to the police station to protect those who beat him up. But Jyoti Shokeen, ticket aspirant and wife of Sumit Shokeen, told India TV that her husband had been working for AAP for last eight years, but the MLA took bribe and gave the ticket to another lady. She also alleged that the MLA misbehaved with her, and, in return, she slapped the MLA.
While AAP workers are engaged in fisticuffs and beating up their MLA, the blame is again being laid at the door of BJP. Delhi minister Gopal Rai said that BJP has started working on an agenda to defame Kejriwal and his party by circulating sting videos. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa compared Kejriwal to Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. He said, Gaddafi’s lust for money made him a psychopath, and Kejriwal is following the same route.
This is the third case involving cash-for-ticket in AAP in recent days. In all the three cases, those who exposed the ‘kattar imaandaar’ (upright and honest) AAP leaders were the party workers themselves. But all these allegations seem to be having no impact on Kejriwal. He is unwilling to accept evidence that his party leaders are taking bribes in exchange for tickets.
Like Delhi, Kejriwal said the same thing in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. He is claiming that his party is going to win in Gujarat and Delhi, and that is why he is being made the target through stings and videos. Kejriwal is unable to explain why his own party men are doing these sting operations? Why his own party workers are giving statements against their leaders? Why his party workers are thrashing and abusing MLAs ? There is a stony silence on part of Kejriwal.
टिकट के लिए रिश्वत, जेल में बलात्कारी द्वारा मंत्री की मालिश, केजरीवाल को सफाई देनी चाहिए
दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की आम आदमी पार्टी एमसीडी चुनावों से पहले मुश्किलों से घिरी नजर आ रही है। पार्टी पर फिर पैसों की हेराफेरी के आरोप लगे। पार्टी नेताओं का एक और स्टिंग सामने आया है। केजरीवाल कहते थे कि कोई पैसा मांगे तो स्टिंग कर लेना, अब एक बार फिर उनकी अपनी पार्टी की एक नेता ने केजरीवाल के साथी नेताओं का स्टिंग कर लिया।
उधर, मंगलवार को तिहाड़ जेल के आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने यह खुलासा किया कि दिल्ली के मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की मालिश कर रहा शख्स कोई फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट नहीं बल्कि एक कैदी है। इस कैदी का नाम रिंकू है। रिंकू पॉक्सो (POCSO) एक्ट के तहत एक किशोरी से बलात्कार के मामले में जेल में बंद है। वह पिछले एक साल से दिल्ली की तिहाड़ जेल में है। सत्येंद्र जैन प्रवर्तन निदेशालय द्वारा लगाए गए मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे हैं। इस नए खुलासे से बीजेपी और आम आदमी पार्टी के बीच वाकयुद्ध का दौर शुरू हो गया। बीजेपी ने मांग की कि सत्येंद्र जैन को मंत्री पद से हटा दिया जाए। वहीं आप नेताओं ने इसे ‘विचहंट’ बताया।
सोमवार को आम आदमी पार्टी को एक और स्टिंग का सामना करना पड़ा। स्टिंग करने वाली नेता का नाम है बिंदु श्रीराम जो आम आदमी पार्टी की पूर्व कार्यकर्ता हैं। बिंदु श्रीराम ने दो स्टिंग किए। बिंदु श्रीराम ने स्टिंग ऑपरेशन करके यह आरोप लगाया कि केजरीवाल की पार्टी के नेता टिकट देने के बदले में 80 लाख रुपये मांग रहे हैं। एमसीडी में रोहिणी से पार्टी का टिकट देने के एवज में ये पैसे मांगे जा रहे थे। पहला स्टिंग एक रेस्टोरेंट का है जिसमें आप कोर्डिनेटर प्रभारी पुनीत गोयल से बात हो रही है। पुनीत गोयल को दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय का करीबी माना जाता है। दूसरा स्टिंग गाड़ी के अंदर बातचीत का है। इस वीडियो में आप के उत्तर-पश्चिम दिल्ली के प्रभारी आर. आर. पठानिया से बात करते हुए दिखाया गया है। पठानिया आप के एससी/एसटी शाखा के प्रभारी और आप की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य भी हैं।
बिंदु श्रीराम का आरोप है कि पुनीत गोयल ही टिकट की डील करा रहा था। इस कथित स्टिंग वीडियो में यह दिखाया गया है कि बिंदु श्रीराम, पुनीत गोयल से इस बात की पुष्टि कर रही हैं कि इस सौदे में पठानिया लूप में है या नहीं। दूसरे स्टिंग वीडियो के बारे में यह दावा किया जा रहा है कि बिंदु श्रीराम आर. आर. पठानिया से बात कर रही हैं। पठानिया ने इस बात को माना कि पुनीत गोयल उनके बेहद खास हैं। इसके साथ ही स्टिंग में पठानिया, गोपाल राय, सौरभ भारद्वाज, दुर्गेश पाठक, आदिल खान और आतिशी मार्लेना का भी नाम ले रहे हैं।
बीजेपी प्रवक्ता संबित पात्रा ने तंज कसते हुए कहा कि जो आम आदमी पार्टी भ्रष्टाचार खत्म करने की बात करती थी, स्टिंग के लिए हेल्पलाइन जारी करती थी अब उसी के दफ्तर से स्टिंग निकलकर सामने आ रहे हैं। लगता है कि बीजेपी को हेल्पलाइन जारी करनी होगी क्योंकि क्योंकि आम आदमी पार्टी भ्रष्टाचार में डूब चुकी है। बिंदु श्रीराम ने कहा-‘MCD चुनाव में आप के टिकट के बदले में 80 लाख रुपये की डिमांड की गई थी।’ बिंदु श्रीराम ने कहा कि यह एक आदमी का काम नहीं है, बल्कि ठगों का पूरा गैंग मिलकर यह काम कर रहा है।
बिंदु श्रीराम और बीजेपी जो आरोप लगा रही है वह बेहद गंभीर है लेकिन आम आदमी पार्टी इसे लेकर बिल्कुल गंभीर नहीं है। आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और विधायक दिलीप पांडेय ने कहा कि दिल्ली में सबसे ज्यादा आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकट की डिमांड है इसलिए कई तरह के दलाल एक्टिव हो गए हैं। दिलीप पांडेय ने कहा-एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर बीजेपी के पास कोई मुद्दा नहीं है इसलिए वह रोज नए स्टिंग लेकर आ जाती है, लेकिन इससे चुनाव पर कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा।
इसके बाद गुजरात में चुनाव प्रचार कर रहे अरविंद केजरीवाल भी सामने आए और कहा कि बीजेपी का स्टिंग फ़र्ज़ी है। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि बीजेपी रोज मनोहर कहानियां लेकर आती है लेकिन दिल्ली में बीजेपी ने क्या काम किया, इसका जवाब नहीं देती।
स्टिंग ऑपरेशन देखने के बाद यह तो साफ है कि आम आदमी पार्टी के कुछ नेता MCD का टिकट देने के लिए 80 लाख रुपये मांग रहे हैं। इससे पहले भी दिल्ली में टिकट के बदले कैश का स्टिंग हुआ था। दोनों स्टिंग आम आदमी पार्टी के लोगों ने ही किए हैं। इसलिए शक की गुंजाइश कम है। लेकिन केजरीवाल ने छूटते ही कह दिया कि स्टिंग ऑपरेशन फर्जी है। अब कोई केजरीवाल से पूछे कि उन्हें कैसे पता चला यह फर्जी है? क्या उन्होंने इस स्टिंग ऑपरेशन की जांच करवाई थी? क्या उन्हें सपना आया था ?
केजरीवाल को स्टिंग ऑपरेशन पर सवाल नहीं उठाना चाहिए। क्योंकि उन्होंने ही अपनी पार्टी के लोगों को सिखाया था कि कोई रिश्वत मांगे तो स्टिंग कर लेना। दूसरी बात यह कि केजरीवाल ने कहा कि हम तो स्कूल बनवाते हैं, लोगों के इलाज के लिए मोहल्ला क्लिनिक खुलवाते हैं। इसलिए हम पर आरोप लगाए जाते हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने यह नहीं बताया कि जो शख्स 80 लाख रुपये देकर टिकट खरीदेगा वह चुनाव जीतने के बाद स्कूल बनवाएगा, इलाज करवाएगा या पैसा कमाएगा। वैसे एक बात यह भी है कि दिल्ली हो या गुजरात, सब मानते हैं कि आम आदमी पार्टी जमकर पैसा खर्च कर रही है। प्रचार के लिए धन की कोई कमी नहीं है। अब केजरीवाल को यह बताना चाहिए कि अगर स्टिंग ऑपरेशन फर्जी है और दिल्ली में शराब घोटाला हुआ नहीं तो फिर चुनाव के लिए इतना सारा पैसा कहां से आया?
Bribes for tickets, Massage of minister by rapist in jail: Kejriwal must explain
It seems Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is facing a series of problems in the run-up to the MCD elections.
On Tuesday, Tihar Jail official sources revealed that the man giving a massage to Delhi minister Satyendar Jain is not a physiotherapist, but a prisoner Rinku, facing charges of rape of an adolescent girl under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. He has been in Tihar jail since last one year. Satyendar Jain is facing money laundering charges levelled by Enforcement Directorate. The revelation triggered a war of words between BJP and AAP, with BJP demanding that Jain be removed from Delhi cabinet. AAP leaders described this as a ‘withchunt’.
On Monday, AAP faced a fresh ‘sting’. Bindu Shriram, a former AAP worker, shot two videos in which an AAP leader was shown demanding Rs 80 lakh for giving a party ticket in Rohini for MCD elections. The first sting was done inside a restaurant where she spoke to AAP coordinator in-charge Puneet Goel, said to be close to Delhi minister Gopal Rai. The second sting was done inside a vehicle, in which she was shown speaking to R R Pathania, North-West Delhi AAP in-charge. Pathania is also incharge of AAP SC/ST wing and a member of AAP national executive.
According to Bindu Shriram, it was Puneet Goel who was trying to ‘strike a deal’ on party ticket. In the purported sting video, Bindu is shown taking confirmation from Goel that Pathania has knowledge about the deal. In the second sting video, Bindu is shown speaking to Pathania and the latter admitted that Puneet Goel was his close aide. In the sting, names of AAP minister Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Durgesh Pathak, Adil Khan and Atishi Marlena were taken.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra took a jibe, saying BJP may have to set up a helpline to ask people to send sting videos because Aam Aadmi Party is “now neck deep in corruption”. Bindu Shriram said, Rs 80 lakh was demanded from her for an AAP ticket in MCD elections. “This is not the work of a single individual, a full-fledged gang of thugs is working.”
The allegation is indeed serious, but AAP is taking these lightly. AAP MLA Dileep Pandey said, since his party’s tickets are now much in demand, several brokers have become active. “BJP has no issue to raise in MCD poll, that is why it is taking recourse to sting videos”, he said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, campaigning in Gujarat, said, “the sting videos are fake. They come out every day with fake stories but are not replying about the work BJP did during its rule in MCD”.
One thing is however clear. Some leaders of AAP are demanding money for giving party tickets in MCD polls. Earlier too, there was a similar video sting about cash-for-ticket. Since these stings have been carried out by present and former AAP workers, there is little doubt about their veracity. Kejriwal, without going through the details shown in the videos, is claiming that there are all fake. Somebody should ask him, how did he come to know that the videos are fake? Was he dreaming?
Kejriwal should be the last person to raise questions about sting videos. It was he who told the people of Delhi to carry out sting if any officer demanded bribes. Kejriwal has been claiming that his government has built schools and mohalla clinics. But he did not say whether the persons who will collect Rs 80 lakhs will build schools or mohalla clinics or earn more money. It is a known fact that AAP is spending money lavishly in Delhi and Gujarat elections. If the Delhi liquor scam had not happened, Kejriwal should explain from where his party got huge funds for elections.
