Clerics like Kanpur Qazi must refrain from making provocative remarks
Some Islamic clerics gave a clear warning to the administration and police on Tuesday warning of consequences if action is taken against stone pelters in Kanpur. The City Qazi of Kanpur Abdul Quddus warned that if actions continue against Muslims, then they will be forced to come out on streets for a ‘do-or-die’ battle (sar par kafan bandh kar nikalengey).
Before I go into his detailed statement, let me point out that he is not an ordinary Muslim or a family member of a stone pelter. Their anger could be justified or, at best, ignored, but if the City Qazi, who looks after the family matters of Muslims, makes such a provocative remark, then it is surely cause for concern.
The Qazi had objections on three points: One, he alleged that innocent Muslim youths are being arrested, Two, only Muslim youths are being sent to jail and the Kanpur police is taking one-sided action, and Three: if the administration uses bulldozer to raze the properties of rioters, then Muslims will come out on streets to fight do-or-die battles. The Qazi also alleged that 95 per cent action by police is being taken against Muslims, and only a minimal two or three per cent actions are being taken against Hindus. “Muslims will not sit and watch silently”, he warned.
On June 3, when the President and Prime Minister along with UP Governor and chief minister were visiting the President’s village near Kanpur to take part in some events, some pro-jihadi elements indulged in violence in Kanpur city soon after Friday prayers. These jihadi elements had secret meetings a few days ago, and they had given a call for closing down of shops, to condemn the remarks made by a BJP spokesperson against Prophet Mohammad.
Hayat Zafar Hashmi, said to be the mastermind behind this violence, has nine criminal cases against him under National Security Act and Gangsters Act. He runs a YouTube channel which peddles hate speeches and toxic content. The rioters had collected huge piles of stones and bricks, which were used during the violence.
CCTV videos clearly show there was planning behind this violence and the stone pelters were being instigated with provocative and vitriolic hate slogans. The violence soon spread to areas under five police stations, Kotwali, Collector Ganj, Becon Ganj, Chaman Ganj and Bajariya. The stone pelters targeted shops, vehicles, police and homes. Till now, more than 50 arrests have been made and the local police has pasted posters of 40 accused persons throughout the city. Main accused Zafar Hayat Hashmi, Javed Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Sufiyan, and Mohammed Sahil have been arrested. Several persons named in the police poster have surrendered and the local administration has said, it will collect fines from the rioters.
Our reporter Pawan Nara spoke to City Qazi Abdul Quddus and asked him why he made such an inciting remark. The Qazi said, he made this statement after thinking over all aspects. He said, “if government demolishes our homes by using bulldozers and arrests innocent people, there is no other way except to come out on the streets wearing ‘kafan’ (shroud). If police starts committing excesses, then we will have to voice our anger.”
By alleging that only Muslims are being targeted by police, the Qazi is himself becoming prosecutor and judge. The violence that took place in Kanpur on June 3 was not an isolated incident. The President and Prime Minister were in the city, and a conspiracy was hatched to foment violence. More than 16,000 toxic messages were forwarded to members of a particular community from six cell phones. There was a plot to spread communal fire across the city. But the Qazi says, it was only a stoning incident and not a major act of communal violence.
Kanpur Police is rounding up people based on their faces appearing in CCTV videos. Still images of accused have been taken out from these videos and the posters have been pasted by police across the city. Witnesses are being traced and accused persons are being rounded up.
To allege that only Muslims are being persecuted is false. Does the Qazi want the police to round up Hindus on false charges, because they did not take part in stoning?
I have spoken to top UP police officials and most of them said that the police is trying its best to ensure that innocents are not arrested. Kanpur police says, all those arrested till now were seen stoning in CCTV videos. When India TV reporter Pawan Nara pointed this out to the Qazi, he said, “they are after all young people, they may commit mistakes. Their acts should be pardoned.”
Stone pelters indulging in arson and violence cannot be pardoned. They were part of a conspiracy to foment communal riot. According to police, some of the rioters bought petrol from local petrol pumps to make ‘bombs’. How can the City Qazi say that these youths did not know what they were doing?
The Qazi may be saying this because Kanpur police took timely action and prevented a major communal conflagration. No one was killed or injured. But it cannot be ignored that the main conspiracy was to foment communal riots. Had there been communal violence, the Qazi would have blamed the police for not taking timely action.
The Qazi may claim that he is trying to persuade Muslims to calm down, but in reality, his remarks about ‘sar par kafan’ are nothing but provocative. In Bajariya locality, when local police went to a home to pick up an accused, there was strong protest from local Muslim residents.
Joint Police Commissioner of Kanpur Anand Prakash Tiwari said, police officers working in the field have been directed to exercise maximum restraint and not let the situation go out of control. The Police Commissioner of Kanpur Vijay Meena told India TV reporter Vishal Pratap Singh that all the arrests are being made only on the basis of evidence, and the police is following legal methods.
Police is acting impartially. The owner of Roma Graphic Printing Press, Shankar Prasad, who has been arrested for printing pamphlets calling for closure of shops, is a Hindu. The bandh call was given by Hayat Zafar Hashmi, and his bandh call posters were printed in Shankar Prasad’s printing press. The owner had not informed the police in advance, and he has been arrested because of this. Shankar Prasad says, he is innocent, he had taken Rs 200 to print only ten posters, and he had no idea about a bandh call being given on these posters.
The Qazi could have made his provocative remark because he was fearing that bulldozers may be used to demolish properties of rioters. Additional Director General of UP Police Prashant Kumar has said, the local administration is making preparations for collecting fines from rioters, and illegal properties of rioters are being identified. Till now, 147 illegal properties of those accused have been identified, and legal action will be taken, he said.
Former UP minister and BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said, properties of rioters should be demolished by using bulldozers. He said the City Qazi should speak about ensuring peace and not give threats to the police.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s track record is quite clear. People know his style of working. His directions to police is: do not harass innocent people, but at the same time, do not spare the guilty. Similar stoning and arson incidents had taken place during anti-CAA protests in Lucknow. Yogi’s government published posters of those guilty, arrests were made, properties seized and illegal properties were demolished with the help of bulldozers. Since then, it has become a trend.
Similar punitive action is taken against criminal mafia gangsters and rioters. This has brought about a sea change in the law and order situation in UP. Police is vigilant, criminals are being caught and rioters are being booked. If law is enforced with a strong hand, the criminals will lose their confidence. Both Hindus and Muslims can live a life of peace, and everybody will be safe.
To give a religious colour to such issues is not justified. At least religious figures like the City Qazi of Kanpur should exercise restraint before making such objectionable remark. Such remarks incite anti-social elements. This tendency should be curbed, by religious figures themselves.
भारतीय मुसलमानों को लेकर घड़ियाली आंसू क्यों बहा रहा है पाकिस्तान?
भारत ने सोमवार को दुनिया के सामने उसे बदनाम करने की चाल चलने के लिए पाकिस्तान को आड़े हाथों लिया। पाकिस्तान के नेताओं से लेकर फौजी हुक्मरान ने भारत को बदनाम करने की साजिश की थी। राष्ट्रपति आरिफ अल्वी, प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ, पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान, विदेश मंत्री बिलावल भुट्टो ज़रदारी और पाकिस्तान की फौज ने ट्वीट और बयान जारी कर आरोप लगाया कि भारत में मुसलमानों को सताया जा रहा है।
ज़्यादातर पाकिस्तानी नेताओं में इस बात की होड़ मची हुई थी कि भारत के सत्तारुढ़ दल बीजेपी के 2 प्रवक्ताओं के बयान के बहाने कौन कितने ज्यादा तल्ख शब्दों में भारत पर निशाना साध सकता है। बीजेपी ने पहले ही पैगंबर मोहम्मद के बारे में आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणी करने के लिए अपनी प्रवक्ता नुपूर शर्मा को सस्पेंड कर दिया, और एक अन्य प्रवक्ता नवीन कुमार जिंदल को पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया है। नुपूर शर्मा ने बाद में बिना शर्त अपना बयान वापस ले लिया और माफी भी मांग ली।
खाड़ी के देश, जिन्होंने बीजेपी प्रवक्ता के बयान पर नाराज़गी ज़ाहिर की थी, भारत सरकार की प्रतिक्रिया से संतुष्ट थे, लेकिन पाकिस्तान ने इसी मौके का फायदा उठाते हुए भारत में मुसलमानों के उत्पीड़न के बारे में झूठे आरोप लगा दिए । पाकिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति डॉ आरिफ अल्वी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘इन अपमानजनक और विवादित बयानों ने दुनियाभर के सभी मुसलमानों की भावनाओं को आहत किया है। मोदी की नफरत भरी हिंदुत्व की फिलॉसफी के तहत भारत अपने यहां के सभी अल्पसंख्यकों की धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता को रौंद रहा है और उनका उत्पीड़न कर रहा है।’
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ भी पीछे नहीं रहे। उन्होंने ट्वीट किया, ‘मैं अपने प्यारे नबी के बारे में भारत के बीजेपी नेताओं के आहत करने वाले बयानों की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करता हूं। मैंने यह बार-बार कहा है कि भारत की मौजूदा सरकार धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता और विशेष रूप से मुसलमानों के अधिकारों को कुचल रही है। दुनिया को इस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए और भारत को कड़ी फटकार लगानी चाहिए। हम पैगंबर से सबसे ज्यादा मोहब्बत करते हैं। सभी मुसलमान अपने नबी की मोहब्बत और इज्जत के लिए अपनी जान तक कुर्बान कर सकते हैं।’
पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्री बिलावल भुट्टो जरदारी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘हम अपने प्यारे पैगंबर मोहम्मद के बारे में बीजेपी प्रवक्ताओं की अपमानजनक टिप्पणी की कड़ी निंदा करते हैं। दुनियाभर के करोड़ों मुसलमानों के जज़्बात को ठेस पहुंचाने को स्वीकार नहीं किया जा सकता। अब वक्त आ गया है कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुदाय भारत में ‘हिंदुत्व’ से प्रेरित इस्लामोफोबिया को रोके।’
पाकिस्तानी सेना भी इस मामले में पीछे नहीं रही। सेना के प्रवक्ता ने ट्वीट किया, ‘पाकिस्तान की फौज भारतीय अधिकारियों के ईशनिंदा वाले बयानों की कड़ी निंदा करती है। इस अपमानजनक हरकत से गहरा आघात पहुंचा है और यह साफतौर पर भारत में मुसलमानों और अन्य धर्मों के खिलाफ अत्यधिक नफरत की ओर इशारा करती है।’
पाकिस्तान के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान ने ट्वीट किया: ‘हमारे प्यारे नबी पर यह हमला मुसलमानों के लिए सबसे दर्दनाक चीज है, जो कि उनके प्रति बहुत प्रेम और श्रद्धा रखते हैं। OIC को चाहिए कि वह मोदी के भारत के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करे क्योंकि दुख की बात है कि अब तक भारत को अपनी इस्लाम-विरोधी नीतियों के लिए जिम्मेदार नहीं ठहराया गया है।’
पाकिस्तानी नेताओं के इन शातिराना ट्वीट्स का भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता ने करारा जवाब दिया। उन्होंने कहा, ‘पूरी दुनिया इस बातकी गवाह रही है कि पाकिस्तान में हिंदुओं, सिखों, ईसाइयों, अहमदिया सहित अन्य अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों का सुनियोजित तरीके से उत्पीड़न हो रहा है। भारत सरकार सभी धर्मों के प्रति सर्वोच्च सम्मान का भाव रखती है, जबकि पाकिस्तान में कट्टरपंथियों की न सिर्फ सराहना की जाती है बल्कि उनके सम्मान में स्मारक बनाए जाते हैं। बजाय इसके कि पाकिस्तान डर पैदा करने वाले प्रॉपेगैंडा में शामिल हो और भारत में सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द को बिगाड़ने की कोशिश करे, ये बेहतर होगा कि वह अपने यहां अल्पसंख्यकों की सुरक्षा एवं कुशलता पर ज़्यादा ध्यान दे।’
यह बात सही है कि नूपुर शर्मा के बयान से पाकिस्तान को एक बहाना मिल गया। नूपुर को हज़रत मोहम्मद साहब के बारे में इस तरह की बात नहीं कहनी चाहिए थी। लेकिन यह भी सही है कि बीजेपी ने तत्काल कार्रवाई की और नूपुर ने अपना बयान वापस ले लिया, खेद जताया। इसके बावजूद पाकिस्तान पिछले दो दिनों से मुस्लिम देशों में भारत विरोधी भावनाओं को भड़काने में लगा है। पाकिस्तान को कभी-कभी ही ऐसा मौका मिलता है, इसलिए शहबाज शरीफ से लेकर इमरान खान तक सब मैदान में उतर गए।
हमारे विदेश मंत्रालय की यह बात सही है कि पाकिस्तान को अपने गिरेबान में झाकंकर देखना चाहिए। अगर मैं यह गिनाने लगूंगा कि पाकिस्तान में अकलियतों पर किस कदर जुर्म होते हैं, यह बताना शुरू करूंगा कि हिंदुओं, सिखों, ईसाइयों और अहमदियों का हाल कितना बुरा है, तो घंटो लग जाएंगे।
वैसे भी पाकिस्तान के डबल स्टैंडर्ड को सारी दुनिया जानती है। अपने पड़ोस में चीन में उइगर मुसलमानों के साथ कैसा वहशियाना सलूक होता है, यह पाकिस्तान को दिखाई नहीं देता, या फिर वह सब कुछ देखकर भी अनजान बना रहता है। पाकिस्तान की परेशानी इस बात को लेकर भी है कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की लोकप्रियता बहुत से मुस्लिम मुल्कों में भी बढ़ी है, और हाल के वर्षों में मध्य पूर्व के देशों के साथ भारत के रिश्ते काफी बेहतर हुए हैं।
Why Pakistan is shedding crocodile tears about Indian Muslims
India on Monday lashed out at Pakistan for trying to defame it before the world community. The entire Pakistani civilian and military leadership, right from President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former PM Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Pakistani Army issued tweets and statements alleging that Muslims in India are being persecuted.
Most of the Pakistani leaders vied with one another in condemning Indian government for the remarks made about Prophet Mohammed by two spokespersons of India’s ruling party. BJP has already issued a strong statement and suspended its spokesperson Nupur Sharma and expelled another spokesperson Navin Kumar Jindal for making objectionable remarks about the Prophet. Nupur Sharma has, since, unconditionally withdrawn her remarks and offered apology for the same.
While the Gulf countries who had raised objections to the remarks made by the BJP spokesperson were satisfied with the response of the Indian government, Pakistan tried to queer the pitch by raising false allegations about persecution of Muslims in India. Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi tweeted, “the derogatory and controversial remarks have hurt the feelings of all Muslims around the world. India under Modi’s hateful Hindutva philosophy is trampling religious freedoms of all its minorities and persecuting them without any impunity.”
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was not behind. He tweeted: “I condemn in strongest possible words hurtful comments of India’s BJP leader about our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Have said it repeatedly India under Modi is trampling religious freedoms and persecuting Muslims. World should take note & severely reprimand India. Our love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is supreme. All Muslims can sacrifice their life for the Love & Respect of their Holy Prophet.”
Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari tweeted: “We strongly condemn the completely repugnant and derogatory remarks by BJP officials about our beloved Prohpet Muhammad PBUH. Totally unacceptable; hurting sentiments of billions of Muslims around the world. Time for international community to stop the ‘Hindutva’ inspired Islamophobia in India.”
Pakistani Army was also not behind. The army spokesperson tweeted: “Pakistan Armed Forces strongly condemn blasphemous remarks by Indian officials. The outrageous act is deeply hurtful and clearly indicates extreme level of hate against Muslims and other religions in India.”
Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan tweeted: “This attack on our Holy Prophet PBUH is the most painful thing anyone can do to Muslims who feel an intense love and reverence for our Holy Prophet PBUH. OIC must take strong action against Modi’s India because sadly so far India has been allowed to get away with its Islamophobic policies.”
In response to these vicious tweets from Pakistani leaders, the spokesman of India’s Ministry of External Affairs gave a befitting reply. He said, “the world has been witness to the systemic persecution of minorities including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Ahmadiyas by Pakistan. The government of India accords the highest respect to all religions. This is quite unlike Pakistan where fanatics are eulogized and monuments built in their honour…Pakistan must focus more on the safety and security of its minority communities instead of engaging in alarmist propaganda and attempting to foment communal disharmony in India.”
There is no gainsaying the fact that Pakistan got an easy handle because of Nupur Sharma’s remarks about the Prophet. Nupur should not have made such objectionable remarks against Prophet Mohammad. But is also a fact that the BJP took immediate action and Nupur had to withdraw her remarks and apologize. For the last two days, Pakistan has been trying to stoke anti-India sentiments in Muslim countries. Pakistan seldom gets such a chance, and this is the reason, why all its leaders from Shehbaz Sharif to Imran Khan came out with anti-India remarks.
Our foreign ministry spokesperson is right when he said that Pakistan should look at its own backyard. There are innumerable examples of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Ahmadiyas being persecuted in Pakistan only because they are minorities. The world knows about Pakistan’s double standards. Pakistan has been turning a blind eye towards the persecution of Uyghur Muslims by Chinese authorities. Pakistan’s problem is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gained popularity in the Gulf countries, and India’s relations with West Asian countries have improved in recent years.
टारगेटेड किलिंग्स : कश्मीर में क्यों हताश हैं आतंकी
कश्मीर घाटी में आतंकियों द्वारा टारगेटेड किलिंग्स को रोकने के लिए सरकार अब और सख्ती करेगी। घाटी में निर्दोष लोगों की हत्या की घटनाओं से निपटने के लिए शुक्रवार को दिल्ली में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह की अध्यक्षता में बैक-टू-बैक दो बड़ी मीटिंग हुई। मीटिंग में जम्मू-कश्मीर के उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा, सेना प्रमुख जनरल मनोज पांडे, राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजीत डोवल, गृह सचिव अजय भल्ला, खुफिया ब्यूरो, रॉ, सीआरपीएफ, बीएसएफ और जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के अधिकारी शामिल हुए।
बैठक में यह फैसला लिया गया कि सुरक्षा से जुड़ी रणनीति और सुरक्षा तंत्र में बदलाव किया जाएगा। टारगेटेड किलिंग्स रोकने के लिए सिक्योरिटीऔर ज्य़ादा मजबूत की जाएगी। जमीनी स्तर पर पुलिसिंग को और मजबूत करने और आतंकी गतिविधियों पर नजर रखने के लिए श्रेष्ठ पुलिसकर्मियों की पहचान की जाएगी। इन पुलिसकर्मियों को स्पेशल ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी और थानों में तैनात किया जाएगा।
उन हथियारबंद नौजवानों पर नजर रखी जाएगी जो हाइब्रिड आतंकी के तौर पर काम कर रहे हैं। ऐसे नौजवान कश्मीरी हिंदुओं और कश्मीर में काम करनेवाले प्रवासी लोगों की टारगेट किलिंग करते हैं और पहचान से बचने के लिए आम लोगों के बीच शामिल हो जाते हैं। इनमें से कुछ नौजवानों ने ‘कश्मीर फ्रीडम फाइटर्स’ (केएफएफ) नामक एक नए आतंकी ग्रुप का हिस्सा होने का दावा किया है। कश्मीरी हिंदुओं और घाटी में काम करनेवाले प्रवासी लोगों के बीच खौफ पैदा करने के लिए पुलिस द्वारा पहले से पहचाने गए आतंकियों ने हाइब्रिड आतंकियों के साथ मिलकर हत्या के लिए सॉफ्ट टारगेट चुनना शुरू कर दिया है। ये सुरक्षा बलों को निशाना नहीं बनाते बल्कि निहत्थे और अकेले सिविलियन्स को निशाना बनाते हैं। टारगेटेड किलिंग्स रोकने के लिए सुरक्षा और ज्य़ादा मजबूत की जाएगी। संवेदनशील इलाक़ों में गश्त बढ़ाई जाएगी। रिजर्व पुलिस बल की मदद से थानों में पुलिसकर्मियों की संख्या बढ़ाई जाएगी। ऐसी घटनाओं को अंजाम दे रहे आतंकवादियों का पता लगाकर उन्हें खत्म किया जाएगा।
वहीं एक अन्य मीटिंग में अमरनाथ यात्रा के लिए सुरक्षा प्लानिंग पर चर्चा हुई। आतंकी इस यात्रा को नुकसान पहुंचाने की कोशिश कर सकते हैं। यात्रा की सुरक्षा के लिए अतिरिक्त आर्मी यूनिट और केंद्रीय अर्धसैनिक बलों को तैनात किया जाएगा। यात्रा की निगरानी के लिए ड्रोन का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा। साथ ही यात्रा मार्ग में स्नाइपर्स भी तैनात रहेंगे। इस यात्रा का काफिला बख्तरबंद वाहनों के साये के बीच गुजरेगा। किसी भी हालात से निपटने के लिए आपातकालीन योजनाएं बनाई गई हैं।
मीटिंग में यह बताया कि बड़े आतंकी ग्रुप अपने आकाओं के साथ सरहद के उस पार बैठे हुए हैं और घाटी के हालात में आए व्यापक बदलाव से चिंतित हैं। 31 मई तक घाटी में 9.9 लाख पर्यटक आ चुके हैं और यह सरहद पार बैठे हुए आतंकियों के पाकिस्तानी आकाओं के लिए चिंता का कारण बना हुआ है।
यही मुख्य वजह है कि घाटी में कश्मीरी हिंदुओं और प्रवासी लोगों की टारगेट किलिंग के लिए ‘हाइब्रिड’ आतंकियों का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है। ये आतंकी आसानी से आबादी में घुल-मिल जाते हैं। अब आतंकियों की योजना को विफल करने के लिए केंद्र ने यह फैसला लिया कि घाटी में काम कर रहे हिन्दुओं का ट्रांसफर तो नहीं होगा। क्योंकि टारगेट किलिंग के दबाव में आकर ऐसा फैसला लेने से आतंकवादियों का मकसद पूरा हो जाएगा। इसलिए टारगेटेड किलिंग्स रोकने के लिए सुरक्षा और ज्य़ादा मजबूत की जाएगी। कश्मीरी पंडितों और प्रवासी लोग, जो अलग-अलग इलाकों में रह रहे हैं और जहां सिक्युरिटी कम है, उन्हें अस्थाई तौर पर जिला और तहसील मुख्यालयों में सुरक्षित ठिकानों पर ले जाया जाएगा। एक सीनियर अधिकारी ने कहा, ‘1990 में जिस तरह का जातीय संहार हुआ था, उस तरह के हालात हम फिर नहीं चाहते। हम बहु-सांस्कृतिक समाज में विश्वास करते हैं।’
अच्छी खबर ये है कि घाटी में टारगेटेड किलिंग्स के खिलाफ कश्मीरी मुलमान भी आवाज उठा रहे हैं। पिछले एक महीने में आतंकियों ने 9 बेगुनाह निहत्थे लोगों की हत्या कर दी है। राजस्थान के एक ग्रामीण बैंक मैनेजर और बिहार के एक मजदूर की हत्या के एक दिन बाद शुक्रवार को आतंकियों ने शोपियां जिले के अगलर जैनापोरा इलाके में प्रवासी मजदूरों पर ग्रेनेड से हमला किया। इस हमले में दो प्रवासी मजदूर घायल हो गए।
इन टारगेट किलिंग्स के ख़िलाफ़ शुक्रवार को श्रीनगर के लाल चौक पर विरोध प्रदर्शन हुआ जबकि अनंतनाग मस्जिद के इमाम ने जुमे की नमाज के बाद कहा कि बेगुनाह लोगों को मारना जिहाद नहीं है। वो इसका कड़ा विरोध करते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस्लाम ने ऐसे जिहाद की इजाजत नहीं दी है कि किसी अल्पसंख्यक पर या किसी और पर जुल्म किया जाए या मजहब की वजह से किसी का कत्ल किया जाए। उन्होंने अपील की कि कश्मीर के मुसलमान बाहर निकलकर इन आतंकवादी हमलों का विरोध करें।
कश्मीर घाटी के ग्रैंड मुफ़्ती ने भी बेगुनाह इंसानों की हत्या की मजम्मत की है। मुफ़्ती नसीर उल इस्लाम ने कहा कि कश्मीरी पंडित हों या फिर डोगरा समुदाय के लोग, ये कश्मीर और कश्मीरियत का अभिन्न हिस्सा हैं। उन्हें कश्मीर छोड़कर नहीं जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा-‘कश्मीरी मुसलमान अपने पंडित भाइयों के साथ हैं।’
कश्मीर में जिस तरह से निहत्थे और बेकसूर लोगों की हत्याएं हुई हैं, वो दुखद है। ये बड़ा चैलेंज है। लेकिन इसका मतलब ये नहीं लगाया जाना चाहिए कि कश्मीर में पिछले तीन साल में हालात नहीं बदले हैं। मुझे तो लगता है कि ये टारगेटिड किलिंग्स कश्मीर में हो रहे बदलाव का सबूत हैं। आतंकवादियों द्वारा बेगुनाह लोगों का खून बहाना इस बात का सबूत है कि कश्मीर में दहशतगर्दी दम तोड़ रही है। अब आतंकवादी मारे जा रहे हैं। अब कश्मीर में आतंकवादी एके-47 लेकर फायरिंग नहीं करते, सुरक्षा बलों को निशाना नहीं बनाते, वो निहत्थे अकेले सिविलियन्स को निशाना बनाते हैं। अब कश्मीर में पत्थरबाज नजर नहीं आते, वहां टूरिस्ट दिखाई देते हैं। कश्मीर में इन्वेस्टमेंट का रिकॉर्ड बना है। डल लेक में शिकारे फिर आबाद हो रहे हैं। कश्मीर में पिछले दिनों जो टारगेट किलिंग्स हुई हैं वो कानून-व्यवस्था का मुद्दा नहीं है। ये आतंकवादियों की बदली हुई रणनीति का असर है। कश्मीरी पंडितों और प्रवासियों में डर पैदा करने की साजिश है। अगर सरकार की कोई कमी है तो वो ये कि उसने आतंकियों की इस बदली हुई रणनीति का अंदाजा नहीं लगाया था।
कश्मीर में टारगेटेड किलिंग्स के ख़िलाफ़ जम्मू में लगातार विरोध प्रदर्शन हो रहे हैं। कश्मीरी पंडितों के संगठन, अपने परिजनों का घाटी से बाहर ट्रांसफर करने की मांग कर रहे हैं। दरअसल, यह समझना चाहिए कि आतंकवादी और उनके आका यही चाहते हैं। वे सुरक्षाबलों से खुद को बचाने के लिए सॉफ्ट टारगेट चुन रहे हैं।
असल में आतंकवादी, ऐसे सॉफ्ट टारगेट चुन रहे हैं, जिनको अपने ऊपर हमले का अंदेशा न हो। जो अब तक टेरर टारगेट न रहे हों। जैसे बडगाम में गुरुवार रात आतंकियों ने ईंट भट्ठे में काम करने वाले दो मज़दूरों को गोली मार दी। यह ईंट भट्ठा आबादी से थोड़ी दूरी पर है। रात के वक़्त जब वो ख़ाना बना रहे थे, तो नक़ाबपोश आतंकवादी आए और उन्होंने दो मज़दूरों को गोली मार दी। एक मजदूर दिलखुश कुमार की मौत हो गई। वह बिहार का रहनेवाला था। वह सात दिन पहले ही ईंट भट्ठे पर काम करने के लिए बडगाम पहुंचा था। आतंकवादियों ने दोनों ईंट भट्ठा मज़दूरों को इसलिए निशाना बनाया कि वो निहत्थे थे। वे बाहर से आकर कश्मीर में रह रहे थे।
इसी तरह कुलगाम में आतंकवादियों ने राजस्थान के रहनेवाले बैंक मैनेजर को बैंक के भीतर घुसकर गोली मार दी थी। उससे दो दिन पहले उन्होंने एक गांव में टीचर रजनीबाला की हत्या कर दी थी। इन टारगेटेड किलिंग्स का एक पैटर्न है। अब आतंकवादी बड़े हमले नहीं कर रहे, सिक्योरिटी फ़ोर्सेज़ को निशाना नहीं बना रहे, अब वो गांवों में, दूर-दराज़ की बस्तियों में रह रहे नौकरी पेशा कश्मीरी पंडित या प्रवासी लोगों को टारगेट कर रहे हैं। कश्मीरी हिंदुओं और प्रवासी लोगों के बीच दहशत फैलाने के लिए आतंकवादियों द्वारा इस तरह की हत्याएं की जा रही हैं। हमें आतंकवादियों के नापाक मंसूबों को कभी सफल नहीं होने देना चाहिए।
Targeted killings: Why terrorists in Kashmir are desperate
Two back-to-back top-level meetings took place in Delhi on Friday, presided over by Home Minister Amit Shah to deal with the spurt in ‘targeted killings’ of innocent people by terrorists in Kashmir Valley. The meetings were attended by Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Army Chief Gen Manoj Pandey, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Hoe Secretary Ajay Bhalla and officials of Intelligence Bureau, RAW, CRPF, BSF and J&K Police.
It was decided that there would be changes in strategy and the security apparatus in the valley would be overhauled. Best police personnel will be identified, given specialized training and posted in police stations, for better grassroot policing and keeping a watch on movements of terrorists.
Tabs will be kept on armed youths who have emerged as ‘hybrid terrorists’, who carry out targeted killings of Kashmiri Hindus and outsiders working in the Valley, and then mix with the civilian population to evade detection. Some of these youths have claimed to be part of a new fledgling terror group called ‘Kashmir Freedom Fighters’ (KFF). Terrorists who are already identified by police have now resorted to proxy arrangement with ‘hybrid terrorists’ for targeted killings of soft targets, in order to strike terror among Kashmiri Hindus and outsiders working in the Valley. The staff strength at police stations will be raised by inducting reserve police staff to help in law and order and beat policing.
In the other meeting, security plans were chalked out for the oncoming Amarnath Yatra, which the terrorists may try to derail by carrying out attacks. Additional army units and central paramilitary forces will be deployed, drones will be used for surveillance, snipers will be deployed on the entire route and yatra convoys will be led by pilot armoured vehicles. Contingency plans have been chalked out to meet all eventualities.
It was pointed out at the meeting that major terror groups, with their masterminds sitting across the border, are worried over the sea change that has come in the situation in the Valley. More than 9.9 lakh tourists visited the Valley till May 31 and this has been the cause of worry for Pakistani handlers sitting across the border.
This is the main reason why unknown ‘hybrid’ terrorists are being used to kill soft targets like Kashmiri Hindus and outsiders in the Valley. To nix their plan, the Centre has decided not to allow mass transfer of all Kashmiri Pandits from Valley to Jammu division. They will now be shifted to safer locations at district and tehsil headquarters as part of a temporary move. A senior official said, “ethnic cleansing took place in 1990, but we will not allow this to happen now. We believe in a multi-cultural society”.
The good news is that Kashmiri Muslims have come forward to raise their voice against ‘targeted killings’. In the last one month, more than nine people have been killed by terrorists. A day after a rural bank manager from Rajasthan and a labourer from Bihar were killed, two non-local labourers were hurt when terrorists threw a grenade at them in Aglar Zainapora area of Shopian district on Friday.
There was protest at Lal Chowk, Srinagar against ‘targeted killings’, while the imam of Anantnag mosque said after Friday prayers that “killing of innocents cannot be termed as jihad”. “If some people think that a Musalman is doing jihad by attacking minorities, then I oppose such acts. Islam has not allowed such jihad where minorities are killed because of their religion”, the imam said. He appealed to all Kashmiri Muslims to come out and protest such killings.
The Grand Mufti of Kashmir Valley also said, he condemns killing of innocent persons. Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam said, Kashmiri Pandits or Dogra Hindus are an inviolable part of Kashmir and Kashmiriyat, and they should not be allowed to leave the Valley. “The Muslims of Kashmir are with their Pandit brothers”, he said.
The killing of innocent Kashmiri Pandits and non-locals by terrorists is indeed sad, and it poses a big challenge. Such targeted killings must not spread the false assumption that the situation has not changed in the Valley in the last three years. On the contrary, I feel, this is concrete evidence that terrorism in the Valley is taking its last breath. Terrorists are being killed in encounters. They no more attack our security forces with AK-47 rifles. They are targeting innocents by firing from pistols. Those who used to throw stones at security forces have vanished. Tourists are coming to the Valley in large numbers. Kashmir is creating records in industrial investments. All these are the results of the changed strategy of the Centre in the Valley. If innocent people are being killed to spread fear, the only shortcoming that I find is that the local administration did not anticipate a sudden change in the strategy of terror groups.
There have been protests in Jammu demanding that Kashmiri Pandits be moved to Jammu division immediately. One must realize that this is what the terrorists and their masterminds want. They are choosing soft targets to save themselves from security forces.
Take the instance of the two non-local labourers shot by terrorists at a brick kiln in Badgam district on Thursday. The brick kiln is located away from the village at an isolated spot. These poor labourers were cooking their diner, when terrorists, with their faces covered, came and fired at them. The labourer, Dilkhush Kumar, who died, hailed from Bihar. He had reached Budgam a week ago n search of work at this brick kiln. The terrorists targeted the labourers because they were unarmed and not local residents.
Similarly, in Kulgam, they killed a rural bank manager Vijay Kumar, who hailed from Rajasthan. Two days prior to that, they shot a lady teacher, Rajni Bala, a Kashmiri Pandit, while she was teaching in school. These are all cold-blooded murders planned by terrorists carefully, to strike terror among Kashmiri Hindus and non-locals. We must never allow the evil designs of terrorists to succeed.
मोहन भागवत ने क्यों कहा, ‘हर मस्जिद में शिवलिंग खोजना ठीक नहीं’
राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत ने गुरुवार को एक बहुत बड़ी बात कही। उन्होंने कहा कि अब ज्ञानवापी के मुद्दे पर कोई आंदोलन नहीं होगा। नागपुर में RSS अधिकारियों के प्रशिक्षण शिविर को संबोधित करते हुए भागवत ने कहा कि ज्ञानवापी का मुद्दा लाखों हिंदुओं की आस्था से जुड़ा है, लेकिन इस पर कोई आंदोलन नहीं होगा।
भागवत ने कहा, ‘अब ज्ञानवापी का मामला अदालत में है। हम इतिहास को नहीं बदल सकते। वह इतिहास हमारे द्वारा नहीं बनाया गया और न ही आज के हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों द्वारा बनाया गया। यह उस समय हुआ, जब इस्लाम आक्रांताओं के साथ भारत आया। RSS ने अयोध्या राम जन्मभूमि मुद्दे को कुछ ऐतिहासिक कारणों से हाथ में लिया था, और वह संकल्प पूरा हो गया है। यह पहले ही कह दिया गया है कि हमारा संगठन किसी नए आंदोलन का हिस्सा नहीं होगा। हर दिन नए मुद्दे उठाना ठीक नहीं है। हर मस्जिद में शिवलिंग खोजने की जरूरत नहीं है। ज्ञानवापी-श्रृंगार गौरी मुद्दा हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों को मिल-बैठकर सुलझा लेना चाहिए। अगर कोर्ट की तरफ से कोई फैसला आता है तो उसे दोनों पक्षों को मानना चाहिए।’
पूरे भारत में धार्मिक स्थलों के बारे में नए-नए दावों और जवाबी दावों पर RSS प्रमुख ने कहा, ‘आक्रांताओं ने हिंदुओं के मनोबल को गिराने और धर्मांतरण करने वाले नए मुसलमानों के बीच एक धारणा बनाने के लिए मंदिरों को तोड़ा था। इतिहास में हुई इन घटनाओं को अब न तो हिंदू बदल सकते हैं और न ही मुसलमान।’
भागवत ने कहा कि मुसलमान ‘हिंदुओं और यहां तक कि क्षत्रियों के ऐसे वंशज हैं जिन्होंने दूसरा धर्म अपना लिया। हिंदुओं को यह समझना चाहिए कि मुसलमान उनके अपने पूर्वजों के वंशज हैं। वे मुसलमान केवल इसलिए हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने अपना धर्म बदल दिया। अगर वे वापस आना चाहते हैं तो उनका खुली बाहों से स्वागत करेंगे। अगर वे वापस नहीं आना चाहते, इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता। पहले ही हमारे 33 करोड़ देवी-देवता हैं, कुछ और जुड़ जाएंगे। हमारे देश में कई मजहब हैं और इस्लाम भी उनमें से एक रहेगा।’
भागवत ने कहा, ‘धैर्य बनाए रखने की जिम्मेदारी हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों दोनों की है। दोनों तरफ से डराने-धमकाने की बात नहीं होनी चाहिए। हालांकि, हिंदू पक्ष की ओर से ऐसा कम है। हिंदुओं ने सदियों तक बहुत धैर्य रखा है। यह एक ऐतिहासिक तथ्य है जिसे नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता है, लेकिन हिंदुओं को यह भी समझना चाहिए कि न तो उन्हें किसी से डरना चाहिए और न ही दूसरों को डराना चाहिए। हम भाईचारे में विश्वास रखते हैं। हम चाहते हैं कि भारत ‘विश्वगुरु’ बने। लेकिन ऐसे लोग हैं जो जाति, भाषा, धर्म के बीज बोकर हमें आपस में लड़ाना चाहते हैं। हमें सजग रहना चाहिए।’
RSS प्रमुख ने कहा, ‘हमारा संगठन किसी भी प्रकार की पूजा पद्धति का विरोध नहीं करता और उन सभी को पवित्र मानता है। उन्होंने (मुसलमानों ने) पूजा के अन्य रूपों को भले ही अपना लिया हो, लेकिन वे हमारे ऋषियों, मुनियों, क्षत्रियों के ही वंशज हैं। हम सब एक ही पूर्वजों के वंशज हैं।’
मोहन भागवत ने जो कहा वह देश की सियासत की दिशा बदलने वाली बात है। यह उन लोगों को जवाब है जो कहते हैं कि अब वह दिन दूर नहीं जब हर मस्जिद को मंदिर बताया जाएगा, मुसलमानों से 30,000 मस्जिदें छीनी जाएंगी। असदुद्दीन ओवैसी हों, अबू आजमी हों, महबूबा मुफ्ती हों, उमर अब्दुल्ला हों या फारूक अब्दुल्ला हों, ये सारे लोग लगातार हिंदू-मुसलमान के मुद्दे पर बयान दे रहे हैं। मथुरा में ईदगाह और ज्ञानवापी का मुद्दा ये जानबूझकर राजनीतिक कारणों से उठा रहे हैं, और यह मुसलमानों को दबाने का एक गेमप्लान है। वे बीजेपी और RSS पर आरोप लगा रहे हैं कि ये मिलकर मुसलमानों को परेशान कर रहे हैं, देश में माहौल खराब कर रहे हैं, लेकिन मोहन भागवत का भाषण एक स्पष्ट परिप्रेक्ष्य में है।
भागवत ने कहा कि भारत में रहने वाले मुसलमान भी हमारे भाई हैं, उनके पूर्वज भी हिंदू हैं, सिर्फ पूजा पद्धति अलग हो गई है। भागवत ने हिंदुओं से साफ कहा कि हर मस्जिद में शिवलिंग ढूंढने की कोशिश करना ठीक नहीं है। भागवत की बातें ओवैसी और महबूबा मुफ्ती की बातों के लहजे से बिल्कुल अलग हैं। मुझे लगता है कि मोहन बागवत की इस बात के लिए तारीफ होनी चाहिए। जैसा कि भागवत ने कहा, हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों को सौहार्दपूर्ण ढंग से अपने मसलों को सुलझाना चाहिए और भारत को ‘विश्वगुरु’ बनाने के लिए एकजुट होना चाहिए।
Why Mohan Bhagwat said: “Don’t look for Shivling in every mosque”
In a major development, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh supremo Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday ruled out any agitation on the ongoing Gyanvapi mosque issue. Addressing the RSS officers’ training camp in Nagpur, Bhagwat said the issue of Gyanvapi relates to the belief of millions of Hindus, but there will be no agitation on this.
Bhagwat said: “Gyanvapi issue is now before the court. We cannot change history. Neither Hindus of today nor Muslims of today created this issue. It took place at a time when Islam came to India from outside through invaders. RSS had taken part in Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi issue due to certain very important reasons. It was also made very clear that our organisation will not be part of any new movement. There is no need to raise fresh disputes every day. There is no need to look for Shivling in every mosque. Even the Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri issue can be resolved amicably between Hindus and Muslims. If any decision comes from the court, it should be accepted by both sides.”
On fresh claims and counter-claims about religious shrines across India, the RSS chief said, “Invaders went on breaking temples to crush the morale of the Hindus and create an impression among newly converted Muslims. These historic incidents cannot be changed by either Hindus or Muslims now.”
Bhagwat described Muslims as “descendants of Hindus and even Kashatriyas, who were converted to a different faith. Hindus should understand that Muslims are their own people. They are Muslims only because they changed their faiths. If they are ready to return (to Hindu fold), we would welcome them with open arms. Even if they do not want to, there is no reason to be dissatisfied. Hindus already worship 33 crore deities. There are many faiths in our country and Islam will remain one of them.”
Bhagwat said, “the responsibility of maintaining restraint lies both of Hindus and Muslims. They should not provoke each other. Hindus have always shown restraint. They restrained themselves for centuries. This is a historical fact which cannot be ignored, but Hindus should also understand that they should not fear anybody nor should they intimidate others. We believe in brotherhood. We want India to be the ‘vishwaguru’. But there are people who want to sow seeds of caste, language religion and make us fight among ourselves. We should be on our guard.”
The RSS chief said, his organisation was not opposed to any form of worship and considers all of them holy. They(Muslims) may have adopted other forms of worship but they are the descendants of our rishis, munis, Kshatriyas. We are all descendants from the same ancestors.”
Whatever the RSS chief has said can change the course of domestic politics. This is a strong reply to those who are trying to strike fear among minorities by saying that the day is not far off when every mosque will be converted into temples, and that nearly 30,000 mosques will be taken away by Hindus. Muslim leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi, Abu Azmi, Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah are regularly giving statements on the Hindu-Muslim issue. They are insinuating that the Mathura Eidgah and Kashi Gyanvapi controversies are being raked up for political reasons, and it is part of a game plan to suppress the Muslims. They have been alleging that BJP and RSS have been tormenting Muslims in recent months and are trying to spoil the atmosphere. But Mohan Bhagwat’s speech today has clearly put everything in perspective.
Bhagwat has said that Muslims living in India are not only our brothers but are descendants from the same ancestors, only their form of worship has changed. Bhagwat has clearly told Hindus not to go out searching for Shivling inside very mosque. Bhagwat’s remarks are completely against the tone and tenor of speeches by Owaisi and Mehbooba Mufti. I think, the RSS chief’s remarks should be praised. Let Hindus and Muslims amicably settle their issues and join hands in making, as Bhagwat said, India a ‘vishwaguru’.
मूसेवाला मर्डर: पंजाब में इस गैंगवार को रोकें
मशहूर पंजाबी सिंगर शुभदीप सिंह सिद्धू उर्फ सिद्धू मूसेवाला की 29 मई को हत्या कर दी गई । इस हत्याकांड को 8 से 10 हमलावरों ने अंजाम दिया था। घटना के वक्त मूसेवाला मानसा जिले में अपनी चाची के गांव जा रहे थे। हमलावरों ने उनकी महिंद्रा थार एसयूवी का रास्ता रोक लिया गया और तीनों तरफ से घेरकर रूसी राइफलों से 30 राउंड से ज्यादा फायरिंग की।
मूसेवाला ने भी अपनी पिस्तौल से 2 राउंड गोलियां चलाई, लेकिन ये नाकाफी था। हमलावर 2 गाड़ियों में सवार होकर मौका-ए-वारदात से फरार हो गए और अब तक पकड़ में नहीं आए हैं। मूसेवाला उन 424 लोगों की लिस्ट में थे, जिनकी पर्सनल सिक्योरिटी पंजाब की भगवंत मान सरकार ने घटा दी थी। अपने सुरक्षाकर्मी घटाए जाने के बावजूद वह बचे हुए दो सुरक्षा गार्डों को हत्या वाले दिन अपने साथ जीप में नहीं ले गए थे।
सिद्धू मूसेवाला की हत्या के तुरंत बात इसकी जिम्मेदारी कनाडा में रह रहे गैंगस्टर गोल्डी बराड़ ने फेसबुक पर ली थी। गोल्डी बराड़ ने कहा कि पिछले साल युवा अकाली नेता विक्रमजीत सिंह उर्फ विक्की मिड्डूखेड़ा की हत्या हुई थी, और उसी का बदला लेने के लिए मूसेवाला का कत्ल किया गया । विक्की की हत्या के बाद मूसेवाला के मैनेजर शगनप्रीत सिंह का नाम सामने आया था। शगनप्रीत पिछले साल ऑस्ट्रेलिया भाग गया। गोल्डी बराड़ का एक अन्य गैंगस्टर लॉरेंस बिश्नोई से संबंध है, जिससे अब पूछताछ की जा रही है, लेकिन दिल्ली पुलिस का कहना है कि वह पूछताछ में ‘सहयोग नहीं कर रहा है।’ बिश्नोई का दावा है कि उसका इस हत्या से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है।
पंजाब पुलिस SIT के चीफ SSP गौरव तुरा ने दावा किया कि उनकी टीम को हमलावरों के बारे में कुछ जरूरी सुराग मिले हैं। SIT चीफ ने कहा, ‘अब हमें पता है कि वे कहां से आए थे, उन्होंने कैसे रेकी की और कैसे फरार हुए।’ SIT पूछताछ के लिए फिरोजपुर और भटिंडा जेल से 2 गैंगस्टरों को पहले ही ला चुकी है।
मूसेवाला हत्याकांड आम आदमी पार्टी के मौजूदा मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान के लिए एक बड़ा सिरदर्द बन गया है। हत्या हुए 4 दिन बीत चुके हैं लेकिन एक भी हमलावर पुलिस की गिरफ्त में नहीं आया है। पंजाब पुलिस के अधिकारियों का कहना है कि हत्या की प्लानिंग जेल के अंदर से की गई थी और इस बात को लेकर पूछताछ की जा रही है कि इसे अंजाम देने के लिए गाड़ी की व्यवस्था किसने की। कुछ दिन पहले दिल्ली पुलिस ने शाहरुख नाम के एक शूटर को उठाया था, जिसने पूछताछ के दौरान बताया था कि लॉरेंस बिश्नोई ने मूसेवाला की हत्या के लिए ‘सुपारी’ दी थी। शाहरुख ने माना कि उसने कई दिनों तक मूसेवाला की रेकी की थी, लेकिन करीब नहीं जा सका क्योंकि उनके साथ बड़ी संख्या में सुरक्षाकर्मी मौजूद रहते थे।
मूसेवाला की हत्या के तुरंत बाद पंजाब के एक दूसरे गैंग ने, जिसका सरगना दविंदर बंबीहा है, एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में गायक मनकीरत औलख को धमकी दी। धमकी में कहा गया कि औलख का मैनेजर मूसेवाला की हत्या में हाथ था, और दो दिन के अन्दर इस हत्या का बदला लिया जाएगा। मनकीरत औलख ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को चिट्ठी लिखकर सुरक्षा की गुहार लगाई है। औलख ने एक वीडियो जारी कर सफाई दी, ‘मूसेवाला मेरे भाई जैसे थे, उनकी हत्या से मेरा नाम जोड़ना गलत है।’
औलख का डर जायज़ है। एक गायक की हत्या हो चुकी है और कनाडा में बैठा गैंगस्टर इसकी जिम्मेदारी ले रहा है। लॉरेंस बिश्नोई के वकील ने कहा कि उनका मुवक्किल पिछले एक हफ्ते से तिहाड़ जेल की हाई सिक्योरिटी सेल में बंद है, तो वह क़त्ल का ऑर्डर कैसे दे सकता है? क़त्ल की साजिश कैसे कर सकता है? वकील साहब की दलील अदालत में तो चलेगी, लेकिन जनता की अदालत में नहीं चलेगी क्योंकि लॉरेंस बिश्नोई के लोग फेसबुक पर जेल के अंदर उसके क्रियाकलापों की तस्वीरें लगातार पोस्ट करते रहते हैं। एक बार तो लॉरेंस विश्नोई ने खुद कहा था कि उसने जोधपुर जेल से फोन पर सिद्धू मूसेवाला से बात की थी, और विकी मिड्डू खेड़ा की हत्या का बदला लेने की बात कही थी।
पंजाब पुलिस के अफसर भी मानते हैं कि राज्य में 70 से ज्यादा गैंग्स एक्टिव हैं। ये गैंग्स सेलेब्रिटीज से वसूली, कबड्डी लीग पर कंट्रोल और प्रॉपर्टी पर कब्जा करने, ड्रग्स और हथियारों की तस्करी करने जैसे अपराधों के सिंडिकेट चला रहे हैं। पंजाब की म्यूजिक इंडस्ट्री में भी इन गैंगस्टर्स की काफी दिलचस्पी है। इनमें से कई बड़े अपराधी विदेश में रह रहे हैं, जैसे कि गोल्डी बराड़ कनाडा में है, लकी पटियाल आर्मेनिया में है। लॉरेंस बिश्नोई, काला जठेड़ी और जग्गू भगवानपुरिया जैसे कई बड़े गैंगस्टर जेल में बंद हैं, लेकिन वहां बैठकर भी अपना गैंग चला रहे हैं। बीजेपी सांसद और गायक हंसराज हंस और अशोक मस्ती जैसे पंजाबी सिंगर्स भी मानते हैं कि म्यूजिक इंडस्ट्री में अपराधियों का दखल हो गया है।
इन गैंग्स द्वारा अंजाम दी जा रही हत्याएं यह बताने के लिए काफी हैं कि वर्चस्व की लड़ाई चल रही है। लॉरेंस बिश्नोई गिरोह पहले लोकल लेवल पर जबरन वसूली और जमीन हथियाने जैसे अपराधों को अंजाम देता था, लेकिन अब उसने अपना दायरा बढ़ा लिया है। विदेशों से इशारा मिलने पर सुपारी किलिंग से लेकर, कबड्डी टूर्नामेंट्स पर कंट्रोल और YouTube पर पंजाबी गायकों के एल्बम की लॉन्चिंग अब पैसे कमाने के नए रास्ते हैं। उसने दिल्ली में जितेंद्र गोगी और हरियाणा में संदीप उर्फ काला जठेड़ी के गैंग्स से हाथ मिलाया, जबकि राजस्थान में उसने एनकाउंटर में मारे गए गैंगस्टर आनंदपाल के गुर्गों के साथ गठजोड़ किया है।
बिश्नोई गैंग को पंजाब में दविंदर बंबीहा और गौरव उर्फ लकी पटियाल की सरपरस्ती वाले गैंग्स से कड़े मुकाबले का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बंबीहा की एक एनकाउंटर में मौत हो गई, लेकिन उसका गैंग खालिस्तानी गैंगस्टर रिंदा संधू की मदद से फिर खड़ा हो गया। इसका मुकाबला करने के लिए बिश्नोई ने कनाडा से ऑपरेट करने वाले गोल्डी बराड़ के साथ करार किया। वहीं, बिश्नोई गैंग का मुकाबला करने के लिए बंबीहा-पटियाल गैंग ने हरियाणा के गैंगस्टर कौशल, जितेंद्र गोगी के प्रतिद्वंद्वी सुनील उर्फ टिल्लू ताजपुरिया और नीरज बवाना के साथ गठजोड़ किया है। गैंगस्टर जितेंद्र गोगी की रोहिणी कोर्ट परिसर में दिनदहाड़े हत्या हो गई थी। गैंगस्टर्स ने पंजाब में दो महीने पहले इंटरनेशनल कबड्डी प्लेयर संदीप सिंह सिद्धू की जालंधर में हत्या कर दी थी।
उत्तर भारत के एक बड़े इलाके में इस तरह के आपराधिक गैंग्स के दायरे का बढ़ना वास्तव में चिंताजनक है। मूसेवाला एक पंजाबी गायक थे। उन्होंने कांग्रेस के टिकट पर पंजाब का विधानसभा चुनाव लड़ा जिसमें उन्हें हार का सामना करना पड़ा। जांच के दौरान सिंगर्स के साथ गैंगस्टर्स के रिश्तों के बारे में जो बातें सामने आ रही हैं, वे पंजाब और दिल्ली के लोगों को पहले से पता हैं। यहां तक कि पुलिस और नेता भी इसके बारे में जानते हैं लेकिन किसी ने कुछ नहीं किया।
शुरुआती दौर में पंजाब के गैंगस्टर ‘प्रोटेक्शन मनी’ के नाम पर सिंगर्स से वसूली करते थे, लेकिन बाद में पैसों के लिए उनका लालच बढ़ता ही गया। गैंगस्टर अब गायकों के एल्बम के वीडियो राइट्स लेने लगे, और इसमें उन्हें दो फायदे थे। एक तो यूट्यूब पर गाने की रिलीज से कमाई होती थी, और दूसरा, जो ‘एक्सटोर्शन मनी’ थी, जो पैसा गलत कामों से कमाया जा रहा था, उसकी मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग होने लगी, उस पैसे को गैंगस्टर्स गाने से हुई कमाई बताने लगे।
इसके बाद गैंगस्टर्स इन सिंगर्स को इस बात के लिए मजबूर करने लगे कि वे अपने गानों में गैग्स का नाम डालें, और इन गानों में दूसरे गैंग को नीच दिखाया जाए। कभी लालच, कभी दादागिरी तो कभी डर के चक्कर में सिंगर्स फंसते गए। वे गैंग्स की दुश्मनी में बलि का बकरा बन गए। सिंगर्स पर दिनदहाड़े गोलियां चलने लगी, और अब तो मर्डर भी हो गया। मूसेवाला बहुत ही लोकप्रिय पंजाबी सिंगर थे, और वह भी इस गैंगवार का शिकार हुए। ऐसे में दूसरे सिंगर्स का डरना लाजिमी है।
इसीलिए मैं कहता हूं कि यह मामला एक हत्या का नहीं है, यह गैंगवार है। यह पंजाब पुलिस और पंजाब की सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है कि वे गैंगस्टर्स का खात्मा करें, अपराधियों में दहशत पैदा करे। उन्हें ऐसे कदम उठाने ही होंगे जिनसे पंजाबी सिंगर्स के दिल से खौफ और दहशत कम हो।
Moose Wala murder: Stop this gang war in Punjab
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moose Wala was a popular Punjabi singer, who was killed by 8 to 10 gangsters in a gruesome attack on May 29. He was going to his aunt’s village in Mansa district, when his Mahindra Thar SUV was blocked and the attackers fired more than 30 rounds with the help of Russian assault rifles from three sides.
Moose Wala fired back two rounds from his pistol, but this was no match against the attack. The attackers fled in two vehicles and are yet to be caught. Moose Wala was on the list of 424 persons, whose personal security was reduced by the AAP government in Punjab. Though his personal security was reduced, he did not take his remaining two security guards with him in his jeep.
Soon after the muder, Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for this murder on Facebook. Goldy Brar said the murder was committed in retaliation over the murder of Youth Akali leader Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky Middukhera last year. The name of Moose Wala’s manager Shaganpreet Singh had cropped up after Vicky’s murder. Shaganpreet fled to Australia last year. Goldy Brar is a close aide of another gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is now being questioned, but according to Delhi Police, he “is not cooperating”. Bishnoi claims he has nothing to do with this murder.
The chief of Punjab Police SIT (Special Investigation Team) SSP Gaurav Toora claimed that his team has found some vital leads about the attackers. “We now know from where they came, how they conducted a recce and how they escaped”, the SIT head said. Already two gangsters have been brought from Ferozepur and Bhatinda jails for questioning by SIT.
The Moose Wala murder case has become a big headache for the incumbent AAP Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Not a single attacker has been arrested four days after the murder took place. Punjab Police officials say, the murder was planned from inside jail, and the questioning is on who provided the vehicles for carrying out the murder. A few days ago, Delhi Police had picked up a shooter named Shahrukh, who told, during questioning, that Lawrence Bishnoi had given ‘supari’ for Moose Wala’s murder. Shahrukh admitted that he had conducted recce on Moose Wala for several days, but could not get close to the singer as he had a large number of security personnel with him.
Soon after Moosewala’s murder another criminal gang from Punjab led by Davinder Bambiha, in a social media post, had threatened singer Mankirat Aulakh. It was said that Aulakh’s manager was actively involved in the murder of Moose Wala, and that retaliation would take place within two days. Mankirat Aulah, in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought protection. In a video released by him, Aulakh said, “Moose Wala was like my brother…it is incorrect to link my name to his murder.”
Aulakh’s fear is understandable. One singer has been killed and a gangster sitting in Canada has taken responsibility. Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer may well claim that his client is inside high-security jail and he could not have been involved in the murder. But the fact is, Lawrence Bishnoi’s men have been regularly posting on Facebook about he was living inside jail. Lawrence Bishnoi had once claimed that he spoke to Moose Wala over phone from Jodhpur jail and had sought retaliation for Vicky Middukheda’s murder.
Punjab Police officials admit that there are more than 70 criminal gangs presently active in the state. They indulge in extortions from celebrities, indirectly control kabaddi league, grab properties and run crime syndicates for drugs and weapon smuggling rackets. These gangs take much interest in Punjabi music industry. Some of the big gangsters live abroad, like Goldy Brar in Canada, Lucky Patial in Armenia. Other gangsters like Lawrence Bishnoi, Kala Jathedi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria are behind bars, but they effectively run their gangs from inside jails. Punjabi singers like Ashok Masti and BJP MP-cum-singer Hansraj Hans admit that gangsters are openly involved in the music industry.
The killings by these gangs are clear indications about a battle for supremacy that is going on. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which earlier used to be a localised one, engaged in extortions and land grabbing, has now spread its wings. From targeted killings by taking orders from foreign shores, controlling Kabaddi tournaments, and launching albums of Punjabi singers on YouTube are now new avenues of raking in money. He joined hands with gangs led by Jitender Gogi in Delhi and Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi in Haryana, and in Rajasthan he tied up with slain gangster Anandpal’s henchmen.
Bishnoi gang is facing fierce competition from the criminal gang led by Davinder Bambiha and Gaurav alias Lucky Patial in Punjab. Bambiha was killed in an encounter, but his gang was resurrected with the help of Khalistani gangster Rinda Sandhu. To counter thim, Bishnoi tied up with Canada-based Goldy Brar. On the other hand, to counter Bishnoi gang, Bambiha-Patial gang has tied up with gangster Kaushal in Haryana, Jitender Gogi’s rivals Sunil alias Tillu Tajpuriya and Neeraj Bawana. Gangster Jitender Gogi was kille din broad daylight inside the Rohini court premises. In Punjab, they murdered international kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Sidhu in Jalandhar two months ago.
The spread of tentacles of rival criminal gangs across a wide swathe of northern India is really worrying. Moosewala was a Punjabi singer, and he contested Punjab assembly elections on Congress ticket and lost. The singer-gangster nexus that is emerging during the investigation, was already known to people in Punjab and Delhi. Even political leaders knew about this nexus but remained silent.
In the earlier stage, gangsters in Punjab used to extort money from singers in the name of protection money, but later, it was difficult to suppress their greed for money. The gangsters now wanted video rights of singers’ albums, which had a two-fold advantage. The white money earned from YouTube from video rights was used for money laundering too. They showed that they were making earnings from singers’ albums.
The gangsters then forced the singers to put the names of their gangs on the albums, to upstage other gangs. The singers were caught in a web of fear, ‘dadagiri’ and greed. They became scapegoats in the battle for supremacy among gangs. Singers were killed in broad daylight. Moose Wala was a popular Punjabi singer who became the scapegoat in this gang war. Other Punjabi singers are also fearing for their lives.
This is not the case of a single murder. It is clearly a gang war. It is the responsibility of Punjab government Punjab Police to put an end to this gang war and strike fear in the minds of all gangsters. They must take steps so that Punjabi singers stop fearing for their lives.
आर्यन खान : जेल में बिताए 26 दिनों की भरपाई कौन करेगा ?
नारकोटिक्स कन्ट्रोल ब्यूरो (एनसीबी) ने शुक्रवार को ड्रग्स केस में सुपरस्टार शाहरूख खान के बेटे आर्यन खान को क्लीन चिट दे दी। एनसीबी ने कहा कि आर्यन खान के पास से कोई ड्रग्स बरामद नहीं हुआ। इस पूरी साजिश में अरबाज मर्चेंट या किसी अन्य आरोपी के साथ आर्यन के खिलाफ कोई ठोस सबूत नहीं मिला।
एनसीबी की ओर से ग्रेटर मुंबई स्थित एनडीपीएस मामलों के स्पेशल जज की कोर्ट में दाखिल चार्जशीट में आर्यन खान समेत 6 लोगों के नाम नहीं थे। इस चार्जशीट में कुल 14 आरोपी बनाए गए हैं।
एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में एनसीबी के महानिदेशक एस.एन.प्रधान ने यह माना कि एनसीबी के पूर्व रीजनल डायरेक्टर समीर वानखेड़े द्वारा की गई शुरुआती जांच में अनियमितताएं थीं। उन्होंने कहा, ‘व्हाट्सएप चैट ( जो फोन पर पाया गया) की भौतिक पुष्टि होनी चाहिए। कोर्ट पहले ही यह स्पष्ट कर चुका है कि व्हाट्सएप चैट का अपने आप में कोई महत्व नहीं है। आप व्हाट्सएप पर किसी भी चीज के बारे में बात कर सकते हैं, लेकिन अगर भौतिक साक्ष्य से इसकी पुष्टि नहीं होती है, तो इसे पूरा सबूत नहीं माना जा सकता है।‘
एनसीबी ने शुक्रवार को 6 हजार पन्नों की चार्जशीट दाखिल की। यह चार्जशीट गवाहों की मौखिक गवाही, ड्रग्स पाया जाना, ड्रग्स से संबंधित दस्तावेजों और पैसों के लेनदेन के सबूत के आधार पर दाखिल की गई है। एनसीबी की टीम ने 24 साल के आर्यन खान को 19 अन्य लोगों के साथ पिछले साल अक्टूबर में मुंबई के कॉर्डेलिया क्रूज पर आयोजित एक रेव पार्टी के दौरान छापा मारकर गिरफ्तार किया था। आर्यन को 26 दिन जेल में बिताने पड़े, जबकि उसके पास से कोई ड्रग्स नहीं मिला। एसआईटी ने अपनी आंतरिक रिपोर्ट में कहा, ‘ऐसा लगता है कि जांच अधिकारी किसी तरह आर्यन खान को ड्रग्स मामले में फंसाना चाहते थे।‘ एसआईटी ने कहा, आर्यन या अरबाज मर्चेंट द्वारा दिए गए किसी भी बयान में या फिर अरबाज मर्चेंट ने यह दावा नहीं किया गया कि उसके पासे से जब्त किए गए 6 ग्राम चरस आर्यन के लिए थे।
ये सभी खुलासे एनसीबी की अक्टूबर की प्रेस रिलीज और कोर्ट में उसके वकील द्वारा आर्यन खान के बारे में जो कुछ कहा गया था उसके खिलाफ है। उस वक्त एनसीबी की ओर से कोर्ट में यह कहा गया था कि आर्यन और अरबाज ने मिलेजुले इरादे के साथ यात्रा की और आर्यन ने अरबाज से ड्रग्स खरीदी। 4 अक्टूबर को अपने रिमांड आवेदन में एनसीबी ने आरोप लगाया था कि आर्यन मोबाइल चैट्स, तस्वीर आदि के जरिए ‘इंटरनेशनल ड्रग्स ट्रैफिकिंग चेन’ से जुड़ा हुआ था। एनसीबी ने अदालत को यह भी बताया था कि आर्यन और अरबाज दोनों ने अपने बयान में माना था कि वे अपने साथ ड्रग्स ले जा रहे थे।
आज भी लोगों को वह दृश्य याद है जब दर्जनों पुलिसकर्मी हाथ पकड़कर आर्यन को अदालत में ले जा रहे थे। ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे वह एक खूंखार अपराधी है। एक नौजवान को 26 दिनों तक जेल में रखा गया और आठ महीने बाद एनसीबी कह रहा है कि आर्यन खान के खिलाफ कोई सबूत नहीं मिला।
एनसीबी के रुख में यह बदलाव कैसे आया? एनसीबी के प्रमुख का कहना है कि शुरुआती जांच में अनियमितताएं थीं और जांच अधिकारी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई शुरू की जा सकती है। लेकिन सवाल है कि क्या आर्यन को अपनी जिंदगी के वो 26 दिन वापस मिलेंगे, जो उसने सलाखों के पीछे बिताए थे? इस बड़ी गड़बड़ी की जिम्मेदारी तो एनसीबी को लेनी होगी।
शुक्रवार की रात अपने प्राइम टाइम शो ‘आज की बात’ में मैंने दिखाया कि तत्कालीन जोनल डायरेक्टर समीर वानखेड़े ने आर्यन खान के बारे में क्या कहा, और कैसे उन्होंने अपने जूनियर ज्ञानेश्वर सिंह के जरिए आर्यन के बारे में झूठे आरोप मीडिया को लीक किए। वानखेड़े के आरोपों के चलते आर्यन को नशेड़ी’, ‘गंजेड़ी’ तक कहा गया। उनके बारे में तरह-तरह के मीम्स प्रसारित किए गए। लेकिन शुक्रवार को आर्यन को क्लीन चिट दे दी गई। उन्हें बिना वजह बदनाम किया गया।
एनसीबी चीफ प्रधान ने शुक्रवार को जो कहा उसे सुनकर एक बात साफ हो जाती है। समीर वानखेड़े ने आर्यन के खिलाफ ज्यादती की और उसे एनडीपीएस मामले में गलत तरीके से फंसाने की कोशिश की गई। एनसीबी ने अब आर्यन को क्लीन चिट देकर अपनी गलती तो सुधार ली लेकिन सवाल उठता है कि 26 दिनों के लिए एक नौजवान को सलाखों के पीछे डालने वाले एनसीबी अधिकारियों का क्या होगा, जिन्होंने कोर्ट में झूठा बयान दिया? क्या समीर वानखेड़े और उनके जूनियर्स को सजा होगी?
वानखेड़े पहले से ही फर्जी जाति प्रमाण पत्र और रिश्वत के आरोपों के चलते विजिलेंस जांच का सामना कर रहे हैं। केंद्र द्वारा एक सक्षम अथॉरिटी से इस संबंध में उचित कार्रवाई करने के लिए कहा गया है। वानखेड़े भारतीय राजस्व सेवा के एक अधिकारी हैं। यह विभाग वित्त मंत्रालय के अधीन आता है।
शुक्रवार को एनसीबी के महानिदेशक एसएन प्रधान ने कहा,’ शुरुआती जांच करने वाले अधिकारियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी। सीनियर एडवोकेट मुकुल रोहतगी ने कहा, ‘एक ही अफसोस है कि आर्यन को जल्दबाजी में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। उनकी गिरफ्तारी की जरूरत नहीं थी। उसके कपड़े, शरीर या जेब से कोई ड्रग्स नहीं मिली। आर्यन की गिरफ़्तारी, ग़ैरक़ानूनी, इकतरफ़ा और सरासर ग़लत थी। अच्छा होता ऐसा न होता। इस नौजवान को 26 दिन बड़े अपराधियों के बीच जेल में गुज़ारने पड़े थे, जिसका किसी भी युवक के दिमाग़ पर बुरा असर पड़ता है। पर कुल मिलाकर ये मामला ख़त्म हो गया है। आर्यन के सामने बेहतर भविष्य है। अब उनकी इज़्ज़त पर कोई दाग़ नहीं है। उनका सम्मान बरकरार है।’
मैंने अक्टूबर में ‘आज की बात’ में कहा था और अब फिर इसे दोहरा रहा हूं। आर्यन को जेल में 26 रातें सिर्फ इसलिए काटनी पड़ी क्योंकि वह सुपरस्टार शाहरुख खान का बेटा है। अब ये तो साबित हो गया है कि आर्यन खान बेकसूर है। उसने न ड्रग्स ली थी, न उसके पास ड्रग्स थी। अब ये पता लगाना जरूरी है कि आखिर आर्यन खान को पकड़ कर और उसके खिलाफ झूठा केस बना कर समीर वानखेड़े और उनकी टीम के दूसरे अफसर शाहरुख खान से क्या चाहते थे। ये मैं इसलिए कह रहा हूं क्योंकि उस वक्त ये इल्जाम लगे थे कि शाहरुख खान से रिश्वत में बड़ी रकम की मांग की गई। इसकी हकीकत पता लगनी चाहिए।
इसके अलावा इस केस में आर्यन की गिरफ्तारी के वक्त जो स्वतंत्र गवाह समीर वानखेड़े ने पेश किए थे, उनकी भी जांच होनी चाहिए। क्योंकि उनका बैकग्राउंड भी संदिग्ध था। इन गवाहों की हकीकत सामने आना इसलिए जरूरी है क्योंकि इसी तरह के गवाहों के कारण हजारों बेकसूर नौजवान जेल में पड़े रहते हैं। उनके माता-पिता और परिवार अदालतों के चक्कर काटते रहते हैं।
ये सोचकर चिंता होती है कि आर्यन खान के साथ जो हुआ वो किसी भी बच्चे के साथ हो सकता है। आज ये सोचकर दुख हुआ कि बिना किसी कसूर के एक नौजवान को 26 दिन जेल में बिताने पड़े। ये सोचकर गुस्सा आता है कि कुछ अफसरों ने आर्यन खान को इंटरनेशनल ड्रग पैडलर करार दे दिया। आज ये सोचकर परेशानी होती है कि कुछ लोगों ने एक निर्दोष को बिना बात के बदनाम किया। आखिर आर्यन का गुनाह क्या था? यही कि वो एक सुपरस्टार का बेटा है। क्या आर्यन खान का गुनाह ये था कि वो एक फेमस परिवार से आता है? क्या उसका कसूर ये है कि शहरुख खान के पास बहुत पैसा है ?
गुनाह तो उस अफसर का है जिसने आर्यन खान को विलेन बनाकर खुद हीरो बनने की कोशिश की। गुनाह तो एनसीबी के उन सब लोगों का है, जो सच जानते हुए भी खामोश रहे। आर्यन ने जेल में जो 26 दिन बिताए उनका हिसाब कौन देगा ? शाहरुख खान ने 26 दिन जो आंसू बहाए उसका हर्जाना कौन देगा ? इसका ना कोई हिसाब हो सकता है, ना कोई हर्जाना।
आर्यन का यह केस पूरे सिस्टम पर सवाल खड़ा करता है। क्या अब कुछ ऐसा होगा कि फिर कोई अहंकारी अफसर किसी बेकसूर को जेल में ना डाल सके ? क्या अब अदालत कोई ऐसा फैसला करेगी कि झूठा केस बनाने वालों को सजा मिले?
Aryan Khan: Who will compensate him for spending 26 days in jail?
The Narcotics Control Bureau on Friday gave a clean chit to superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the drugs case, saying no drugs were recovered from him, and there was no concrete evidence to show his role in the conspiracy with Arbaaz Merchant or any other accused.
In the chargesheet filed in the court of special judge for NDPS cases, Greater Mumbai, two days before the 60-day extension was due to expire, the NCB did not name Aryan and five others as accused. Fourteen others were made accused in the chargesheet.
At a press conference, NCB director general S N Pradhan admitted that there were irregularities in the initial probe conducted by former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede. He said, “there should be physical corroboration of WhatsApp chats (found on phone). Courts have clarified that a WhatsApp chat in itself has no value. You can talk about anything on WhatsApp, but if not corroborated by physical evidence,it cannot be considered a complete evidence.”
The 6000-page NCB chargesheet filed on Friday has only relied on oral testimonies of witnesses, drugs recovery, related documents and proof of monetary transactions. Aryan Khan, 24, was arrested alongwith 19 others by NCB team during a raid during a rave party organized on Cordellia cruise off Mumbai in October last year. Aryan had to spend 27 days in jail, though no narcotic substance was found from his possession.
The Special Investigation Team in its internal report said, “it appears that the investigating officer was somehow motivated in implicating Aryan Khan in the drug case. The SIT said, in none of the statements made by Aryan or Arbaaz Merchant, had the latter claimed that the six gram of charas seized from him was meant for Aryan.
All these disclosures go completely against what the NCB had in its press releases in October and its counsel in court had said about Aryan Khan. The prosecutor had, at that time, told the sessions court that Aryan and Arbaaz travelled together “with common intent” and that Aryan procured drugs from Arbaaz.
In its remand application dated October 4, the NCB had alleged that Aryan had links with “international drug trafficking chain” through mobile chats, pictures, etc. NCB had also told the court that both Aryan and Arbaaz had in their statements admitted that they were carrying drugs.
People still remember the visuals of dozens of policemen holding Aryan by his hand and taking him to court as if he was a dreaded criminal. A young man was kept in jail for 26 days, and eight months later the NCB admitted that no evidence was found from him.
How did this turnaround come about in the stance of NCB? The Bureau chief says there were irregularities in the initial probe, and action could be initiated against the investigating officer. But will Aryan get those 26 days of his life, which he spent behind bars, back? NCB will have to bear responsibility for this major goof-up.
In my prime time show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ on Friday night, I showed what the then zonal director Sameer Wankhede said about Aryan Khan, and how he leaked false allegations about Aryan to the media through his junior Gyaneshwar Singh. Because of Wankhede’s allegations, abuses like ‘nashedi’, ‘ganjedi’ (drug addicts) were made against Aryan. Funny memes about him were circulated, but on Friday, Aryan was given a clean chit. He was defamed for no rhyme or reason.
Listening to what the NCB chief Pradhan said on Friday, one thing is clear. Sameer Wankhede committed excesses against Aryan, and tried to false implicate him in the NDPS case. NCB rectified its mistake by giving Aryan Khan a clean chit now, but the question arises: What will happen to the NCB officer who put a young man behind bars for 26 days, gave a false narrative to the court? Will Sameer Wankhede and his juniors be punished?
Wankhede is already facing Vigilance probe for submitting false caste certificate and other bribery charges. The competent authority has been asked by the Centre to “initiate appropriate action” for conducting this shoddy probe. Wankhede is an officer of Indian Revenue Service, which comes under the Finance Ministry.
On Friday, NCB director general S N Pradhan said, action will be taken against officers who conducted the initial probe. Senior Advocate Mukul Rohtagi said, “the only regret is that Aryan was arrested in a hurry. His arrest was not required. No drug was found from his clothes, his body or from his pockets. The arrest was llegal, arbitrary and completely incorrect. It should not have happened. A young man had to spend 25 days in jail with criminals, and this could affect his mental state. Overall, the matter is now closed. The young man has a bright future in front of him. There is no blemish on his reputation now. His honour is now intact.”
I had said in ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ in October and am repeating this now. Aryan had to sped 26 nights in jail only because he is the son of superstar Shahrukh Khan. It is now proved beyond doubt that Aryan is innocent. Neither did he consume drugs, nor was drugs found on him. It needs to be probed what Sameer Wankhede and his team of officers expected from Shahrukh Khan after falsely implicating. I am saying this because there were reports in media that a huge bribe was sought from the superstar. This matter needs to be deeply investigated.
Also, the “independent” witnesses produced by Wankhede and his team at the time of Aryan’s arrest, should also be probed because they have suspicious background. Because of such witnesses thousands of young people are sent to jail and their parents run from pillar to post to secure their release.
I am worried how somebody from a common man’s family would have fared if he had been wrongly implicated like Aryan. I feel sad, Aryan had to spend 26 days in jail for no fault of his, and I feel angry because some NCB officers even described him as an international drugs peddler. What was Aryan Khan’s crime? Was it a crime to be the son of a superstar? Was it his crime that his father has huge assets and is famous?
The one who is really guilty is the officer who tried to project himself as a hero by painting Aryan Khan as a villain. The guilt lies in the hearts of those NCB officers, who knowingly remained silent despite realizing the truth, when a young man was incarcerated. Who will compensate for sending Aryan in jail for 26 days? For tormenting his family and making Shahrukh Khan weep for 26 days? There can be no compensation, nor fixing of accountability.
Aryan’s case raise serious questions about our entire criminal justice system. Will something be done so that no arrogant officer can send any innocent to jail? Will the courts give punishment to those who implicate people in false cases?
क्या KCR सचमुच अंधविश्वास और परिवारवाद में यकीन रखते हैं?
तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री के. चंद्रशेखर राव (KCR) को टोना-टोटका और ‘6’ नंबर को लकी मानने के लिए जाना जाता है। कहा जाता है कि उन्होंने अपने ज्योतिषी की सलाह पर पिछले 5 साल से राज्य के सचिवालय में कदम नहीं रखा। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने गुरुवार को हैदराबाद में एक जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए KCR पर परिवारवाद की राजनीति करने और अंधविश्वास के आधार पर फैसले लेने के लिए निशाना साधा।
मीडिया में आई खबरों के मुताबिक, के. चंद्रशेखर राव मुख्यमंत्री बनने के बाद से सचिवालय नहीं गए हैं, क्योंकि उन्हें लगता है कि इस भवन का वास्तु उनके लिए ठीक नहीं है। उन्होंने 2016 में 50 करोड़ की लागत से घर पर ही एक वास्तुसम्मत कार्यालय बनवाया । उन्होंने सचिवालय में कभी कदम नहीं रखा जबकि उनके मंत्री और नौकरशाह वहीं से काम करते हैं। उन्होंने बेगमपेट में अपने कैंप ऑफिस की मरम्मत कराई और इसे 5 मंजिल ऊंचा और 6 ब्लॉक्स तक बढ़ा दिया। मीडिया में आई खबरों के मुताबिक, KCR का मानना है कि ‘शासक को ऐसी जगह से काम करना चाहिए जो दूसरों की तुलना में ज्यादा ऊंचाई पर हो।’
KCR ने एक नया सचिवालय बनवाने की कोशिश की लेकिन उन्हें जनता का विरोध झेलना पड़ा। वह नए सचिवालय के निर्माण के लिए सेना की जमीन का अधिग्रहण करना चाहते थे। इसके बाद उन्होंने पूरे सचिवालय को वास्तुसम्मत बनाने के लिए उसकी मरम्मत करवानी शुरू कर दी। पिछले 5 साल से KCR सचिवालय की बजाय अपने सरकारी आवास से काम कर रहे हैं।
लोगों को लगता है कि चंद्रशेखर राव 6 को अपने लिए लकी अंक मानते हैं, इसीलिए उनके काफिले में जितनी गाड़ियां होती हैं, उनका नंबर या तो 6 है या सभी अंकों का जोड़ 6 है। चंद्रशेखर राव कोई भी काम मुहूर्त देखे बिना नहीं करते। मुहूर्त में भी इस बात का ख्याल रखा जाता है कि टाइम ऐसा हो, जिसका जोड़ 6 हो। जब वह पहली बार CM बने तो उन्होंने दोपहर 12:57 मिनट पर शपथ ली, जिसके अंकों का जोड़ 6 होता है। एक बार वह महबूब नगर जिला गए तो वहां 51 बकरों की बलि चढ़ाई गई। लोगों का दावा है कि 51 बकरों की बलि इसीलिए चढ़ाई गई क्योंकि इसका जोड़ भी 6 होता है। चंद्रशेखर राव जो कमेटियां बनाते हैं, उनके सदस्यों की संख्या भी इस तरह रखते हैं जिसके अंकों का जोड़ 6 हो। शायद यही वजह है कि उन्होंने किसानों के लिए जो को-ऑर्डिनेशन कमेटी बनाई उसमें 15 सदस्य रखे। उनकी पार्टी की जिला समिति में 24 सदस्य हैं, राज्य स्तरीय समिति में 42 सदस्य हैं और इन सबका जोड़ 6 है।
तेलंगाना के सियासी जानकारों के मुताबिक, KCR हैदराबाद की मशहूर हुसैन सागर झील कभी नहीं जाते, क्योंकि कहा जाता है कि हुसैन सागर झील जाने के बाद ही एनटी रामाराव से आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री की गद्दी छिन गई थी।
अपनी जनसभा में KCR पर कटाक्ष करते हुए मोदी ने कहा, “आधुनिक ज्ञान-विज्ञान के इस युग में .. अभी भी, 21वीं सदी में भी, जो लोग अंधविश्वास के गुलाम बने हुए हैं, वो अपने अंधविश्वास में किसी का भी नुकसान कर सकते हैं। ये अंधविश्वासी लोग तेलंगाना के सामर्थ्य के साथ कभी न्याय नहीं कर सकते। मुझे याद है जब मैं गुजरात में मुख्यमंत्री था, तो वहां भी कुछ शहरों की पहचान बना दी गई थी कि उस शहर में कोई मुख्यमंत्री जा नहीं सकता है। अगर वहां जाएगा तो उसकी कुर्सी चली जाएगी। मैं डंके की चोट पर वहीं पर जाता था, बार-बार जाता था।“
मोदी ने कहा- “मैं विज्ञान …टेक्नोलॉजी में विश्वास करता हूं। मैं तो आज तेलंगाना की इस धरती से उत्तर प्रदेश के हमारे मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमान योगी आदित्यनाथ जी को भी बधाई देता हूं। वो तो संत परंपरा से हैं, सन्यासी परंपरा से हैं। उनके कपड़े और भेषभूषा देखकर के कोई भी बात मान लेगा। जब उनके सामने आया कि फलानी जगह पर नहीं जाना है, ढिकानी जगह पर नहीं जाना चाहिए। योगी जी ने कहा, मैं विज्ञान में विश्वास करता हूं, वे चले गए और दोबारा जीतकर मुख्यमंत्री बने।“
मोदी ने कहा, “अंधविश्वास को इस प्रकार से तवज्जो देने वाले लोग, उसके भविष्य को कभी संवार नहीं सकते हैं। ऐसे अंधविश्वासी लोगों से हमारे तेलंगाना को हमें बचाना है।.. .. अंधविश्वासी लोग कभी तेलंगाना के सामर्थ्य के साथ न्याय नहीं कर सकते। कुछ लोग हैं जो अंधविश्वास पर भरोसा करते हुए कुछ जगहों पर नहीं जाते।“
मोदी ने आरोप लगाया कि तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री परिवारवाद की राजनीति को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा, “ परिवारवाद और परिवारवादी पार्टियां, देश के लोकतंत्र और देश के युवा, दोनों की सबसे बड़ी दुश्मन हैं। देश ने देखा है, तेलंगाना के लोग देख रहे हैं कि एक परिवार को समर्पित पार्टियां जब सत्ता में आती हैं तो कैसे उस परिवार के सदस्य भ्रष्टाचार, उसका सबसे बड़ा चेहरा बन जाते हैं। तेलंगाना के लोग देख रहे हैं कि परिवारवादी पार्टियां किस तरह सिर्फ अपना विकास करती हैं, अपने परिवार के सदस्यों की तिजोरियां भरती हैं। इन परिवारवादी पार्टियों को गरीब के दर्द की, गरीब की तकलीफों की, न उनको कोई चिंता नहीं होती है, न परवाह होती है।“
मोदी ने कहा, “इनकी राजनीति सिर्फ इस बात पर केंद्रित होती है कि एक परिवार लगातार किसी भी तरह सत्ता पर कब्जा करके लूट सके तो लूटता रहे। इसके लिए, ये लोग समाज को बांटने की साजिशें रचतें हैं, जनता के विकास में उनकी कोई रूची नहीं होती है। पिछड़ेपन, समाज पीछे रहे उसी में उनका भला देखते हैं। परिवारवाद की वजह से देश के युवाओं को, देश की प्रतिभाओं को राजनीति में आने का अवसर भी नहीं मिलता। परिवारवाद उनके हर सपनों को कुचलता है, उनके लिए हर दरवाजे बंद करता है। इसलिए, आज 21वीं सदी के भारत के लिए परिवारवाद से मुक्ति, परिवारवादी पार्टियों से मुक्ति एक संकल्प भी है, और एक नैतिक आंदोलन भी है। जहां जहां परिवारवादी पार्टियां हटी हैं, वहां वहां विकास के रास्ते भी खुले हैं।“
मोदी परिवारवाद की राजनीति के खिलाफ पूरे अधिकार से बोल सकते हैं। उन्होंने अपने परिवार के सदस्यों को राजनीति से दूर रखा है। लोग उनके भाइयों, भतीजों या अन्य करीबी रिश्तेदारों के नाम भी नहीं जानते हैं। न ही मोदी के रिश्तेदार उनके पद का कोई फायदा उठा सके। वंशवाद की राजनीति के मुद्दे पर कोई भी मोदी को नहीं घेर सकता। इसके उलट भारत में जितनी क्षेत्रीय पार्टियां हैं, वे ज्यादातर परिवारवाद की शिकार हैं। वे चाहें लालू प्रसाद यादव हों, मुलायम सिंह यादव हों, ओम प्रकाश चौटाला हों, प्रकाश सिंह बादल हों, एम करुणानिधि हों, एच डी देवेगौड़ा हों, उद्धव ठाकरे हों या डॉ फारूक अब्दुल्ला हों।
KCR ने अपने परिवार के कई सदस्यों को विधायक, सांसद या मंत्री बनाया है। KCR खुद मुख्यमंत्री हैं, उनके बेटे KTR (के.टी.राम राव) तेलंगाना राष्ट्र समिति के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष हैं और अपने पिता के मंत्रिमंडल में ताकतवर मंत्री भी हैं। KCR की बेटी के. कविता सांसद थीं। वह पिछला चुनाव हार गईं, लेकिन उनके पिता ने उन्हें MLC बना दिया और उन्हें जल्द ही मंत्री भी बनाया जा सकता है। KCR के भतीजे टी. हरीश राव भी उनकी सरकार में मंत्री हैं। KCR के एक और भतीजे जोगिनापल्ली संतोष कुमार सांसद हैं। केसीआर ने उन्हें राज्यसभा में भेजा है। इसलिए उनके परिवार के 5 लोग तो अब महत्वपूर्ण पदों पर आसीन हैं। अब चर्चा यह है कि KCR अपने एक और भतीजे वामसी को सक्रिय राजनीति में लाएंगे। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, वह अंधविश्वास के चलते वामसी को राजनीति में ला रहे हैं। लोगों का कहना है कि KCR 6 नंबर को लकी मानते हैं, इसलिए वह ‘6’ तक पहुंचने के लिए परिवार के एक और सदस्य को सियासत में लाना चाहते हैं।
KCR कई बार पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी से सीधे तौर पर मिलने से बचने की कोशिश कर चुके हैं। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स का कहना है कि ऐसा वह ज्योतिषियों की सलाह की वजह से कर रहे हैं। जब भी मोदी तेलंगाना के दौरे पर जाते हैं, तो KCR कोई न कोई बहाना बनाकर तेलंगाना से बाहर चले जाते हैं। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, वह ऐसी किसी भी मुलाकात को अपने लिए ‘अनलकी’ मानते हैं। जब मोदी इस साल फरवरी में 11वीं सदी के संत श्री रामानुजाचार्य की स्मृति में स्टैच्यू ऑफ इक्वेलिटी के उद्घाटन के लिए तेलंगाना गए थे, तब KCR बीमारी की बात कहकर एयरपोर्ट पर पीएम का स्वागत करने नहीं पहुंचे थे। गुरुवार को जब मोदी हैदराबाद पहुंचे, KCR उससे 3 घंटे पहले ही एच. डी. देवेगौड़ा और उनके बेटे से मिलने बेंगलुरु के लिए रवाना हो चुके थे। वहां उनका कोई सरकारी काम भी नहीं था। KCR ने मोदी की आलोचना पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए बेंगलुरु में कहा, ‘भाषणबाजी और वादों के अलावा हकीकत क्या है। उद्योग बंद हो रहे हैं, जीडीपी नीचे जा रही है, महंगाई मुंह उठा रही है और रुपया बुरी तरह गिर गया है। आज कोई खुश नहीं है, चाहे किसान हों, दलित हों, आदिवासी हों। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर जल्द ही बदलाव होगा। 2-3 महीने बाद आपको सनसनीखेज खबर मिलेगी।’
आपने वीडियो में देखा होगा कि KCR जब एच. डी. देवगौड़ा और उनके बेटे की मौजूदगी में मीडिया से बात कर रहे थे तो उनकी बाजू पर एक चमकीला कपड़ा बंता हुआ था। मुझे इसके बारे में पता चला कि चंद्रशेखर राव जब भी किसी विशेष मिशन पर जाते हैं, या किसी जरूरी मीटिंग में जाते हैं तो इस तरह का बाजूबंद उनकी बांह पर होता है। यह बाजूबंद केसीआर की सरकार में होम मिनिस्टर महमूद अली उन्हें देते हैं। इस बाजूबंद को ‘इमाम-ए-ज़ामिन’ कहा जाता है। KCR को यकीन है कि ‘इमाम-ए-ज़ामिन’ उनकी रक्षा करता है और वह जिस काम से जाते हैं, वह पूरा हो जाता है।
KCR केंद्र में जिस ‘बदलाव’ की बात कर रहे हैं उसके बारे में कुछ कहने की जरूरत नहीं है। KCR ने भविष्यवाणी की थी कि देवेगौड़ा के बेटे एचडी कुमारस्वामी कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री बनेंगे, औऱ वह बन भी गए। लेकिन उन्होंने यह भविष्यवाणी नहीं की थी कि मुख्यमंत्री बनने के बाद कुमारस्वामी बार-बार रोएंगे, इसके बाद बगावत होगी और उनकी सरकार चली जाएगी। जबकि ऐसा ही हुआ था। KCR ने यह भी नहीं बताया कि उन्होंने 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले भी इसी तरह की बातें बोली थीं, देवगौड़ा और दूसरे नेताओं से मिलने के बाद मोदी को मात देने का ऐलान किया था। लेकिन क्या हुआ, पूरी दुनिया ने देखा।
मोदी ने गुरुवार को हैदराबाद में जो भी कहा, साफ कहा: जो करना है कर लो, जितनी ताकत लगानी है लगा लो, जो टोने-टोटके करने हैं कर लो, लेकिन बीजेपी के उखाड़ नहीं पाओगे। बीजेपी ने पिछले 8 सालों में जनता के दिल में जगह बना ली है।
