 The Supreme Court in its landmark judgement on Wednesday held as constitutionally valid the Election Commission’s decision to conduct Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

     The bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi said, EC has the right to conduct a preliminary inquiry into citizenship of a person seeking inclusion of his name as a voter.

    The bench rejected the opposition’s stand that SIR was an arbitrary and exclusionary exercise.

    The apex court said, EC has the constitutional mandate to ensure free and fair elections, based on the integrity, accuracy and purity of voter lists.

     In essence, the Supreme Court has made several points quite clear.  The EC was targeted by opposition parties during the SIR exercise, first in Bihar and then in West Bengal.

    At that time, several opposition parties had alleged that the EC was working as a “puppet” of the Centre and as a ‘middleman’ of BJP.

     After the SC verdict came, leaders of INDIA bloc parties were stunned. BJP said, the SC verdict is a slap on the face of Congress.

    Interestingly, disclosures that are being made by infiltrators at the India-Bangladesh border in Bengal clearly point out towards the necessity of carrying out SIR exerice.

    These infiltrators are presently waiting at Hakimpur border checkpost in North 24 Parganas of West Bengal. They want to return to Bangladesh.

       Most of these infiltrators admitted they used to cast votes in  Bengal elections, they had illegally crossed the border from Bangladesh, and obtained fake Aadhar, PAN and voter i-cards.

    Asked why they want to return to Bangladesh, most of the infiltrators said, the SIR process conducted by EC let the cat out of the bag. They said, their names were deleted from electoral rolls during SIR, and out of fear of being caught, they have decided to return to Bangladesh.

    One Bangladeshi woman Mehfooza Khatoon said, she voted for Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in several elections. She also admitted she was getting benefits of several welfare measures in Bengal, but after BJP came to power, the situation has changed.   

     Her son Riazul Sheikh said, he attained the age of 18 in 2024, got his name included in electoral list, and voted in the last Lok Sabha election.

    Surprisingly, his name was not deleted during SIR process. He again cast his vote in the last assembly elections, but the names of his parents were deleted from electoral rolls.

     There are dozens of such families waiting at Hakimpur check post. Had it not been for SIR, thousands of such families would have continued to stay in India and getting welfare benefits.

     After the Supreme Court verdict, it has now become clear that Rahul Gandhi’s allegation of “vote chori (theft)” was baseless.

    Mamata Banerjee’s allegation that the EC was acting at the behest of BJP and deleting names from electoral rolls has been proved incorrect.

    On the contrary, it has now been admitted by Bangladeshi infiltrators that they obtained Aadhar, PAN and voter identity cards based on fake info and with the help of leaders from Trinamool Congress, they spread out to live in different parts of India. SIR  exposed their fake identities and forced them to return to Bangladesh.

    Can anyone now raise questions about SIR after the SC verdict and the disclosures made by infiltrators?

   Whom will Rahul Gandhi blame for his party’s electoral defeats?

   SIR was carried out in Kerala, then how did his party come to power in the assembly elections?

   Will fingers be now pointed at the Supreme Court?

    It would be better if people from both sides stop dragging Constitutional bodies into politics.

Bengal : 30 lakh fake beneficiaries detected

       West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has made a startling disclosure.

    While launching his government’s Annapurna scheme to provide Rs 3000 monthly assistance to women, Adhikari disclosed that names of nearly 30 lakh women have been found to be fake in the list of beneficiaries of Mamata Banerjee’s Lakshmi Bhandar scheme.

    Adhikari said, most of them are Bangladeshis and their names have been deleted from electoral rolls.

       These fake beneficiaries were getting Rs 1500 per month during TMC rule, apart from getting assistance for building house and free ration.

     This is not a problem relating to West Bengal alone. Infiltrators have spread out to different states of India. They are cornering benefits from welfare measures, which rightly belong to poor Indian citizens.

     Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has set up a high-level committee headed by a retired SC judge to analyse demographic changes caused by infiltration.

      One should hope the committee will start its work at the earliest and the problem of infiltration is solved once and for all.

Bakrid : Why disputes over Qurbani?

   There was tension in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar and Goregaon residential societies on Wednesday after it was found that goats had been brought for ‘qurbani’ (sacrifice) during Bakrid festival.

    In both places, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had given permission for slaughtering in advance. When residents of these societies objected, BMC withdrew its permission.

      BMC deputy mayor said, 119 places were earmarked for Qurbani during Bakrid.

    Bakrid date was known much in advance and BMC could have allotted spots for Qurbani in advance. Withdrawal of permission for Qurbani at the twelfth hour causes unnecessary problems.

    Such issues could have been ironed out through discussions with stakeholders. Let us hope Eid is celebrated peacefully.  Eid Mubarak to all.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीज़न (SIR) को लेकर बहुत सारी बातें साफ कर दीं. पहले बिहार चुनाव के समय और फिर बंगाल चुनाव के दौरान SIR को लेकर चुनाव आयोग पर जबरदस्त हमले किए गए.

   चुनाव आयोग को ‘बिका हुआ’, ‘बीजेपी का दलाल’, ‘केन्द्र सरकार की कठपुतली’, न जाने क्या-क्या कहा गया लेकिन बुधवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जो फैसला सुनाया, उसके बाद विपक्षी INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं को सांप सूंघ गया.

  सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि SIR की प्रक्रिया पूरी तरह संवैधानिक है, स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव कराने के लिए वोटर लिस्ट का शुद्धीकरण जरूरी है और ये आयोग की जिम्मेदारी है. इसलिए SIR करवा कर आयोग ने अपनी संवैधानिक जिम्मेदारी का निर्वहन किया है.

  सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने ये भी स्पष्ट किया कि चुनाव आयोग नागरिकता पर फैसला नहीं कर सकता और SIR का नागरिकता से कोई संबंध नहीं है.

   चूंकि बार-बार ये आरोप लगाया गया था कि SIR के बहाने चुनाव आयोग बड़े पैमाने पर लोगों के नाम वोटर लिस्ट से काट रहा है, ये विरोधी दलों को चुनाव में हराने की साजिश है, लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि जिन लोगों के नाम वोटर लिस्ट से कटे, उन्हें पूरा मौका दिया गया, नियमों के दायरे में रहकर ही चुनाव आयोग ने वोटर लिस्ट से नाम काटे.

    सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले को बीजेपी ने कांग्रेस के मुंह पर तमाचा कहा. चीफ जस्टिस सूर्यकांत और जस्टिस जयमाल्य बागची की पीठ ने अपने फैसले में कहा कि वोटर लिस्ट की विश्वसनीयता बनाए रखने के लिए SIR ज़रूरी है.

   यहां मैं बता दूं कि भारत-बांग्लादेश के हाकिमपुर बॉर्डर चेकपोस्ट पर बैठे बांग्लादेशियों ने जो बातें बताईं, उन्हें सुन कर साफ लगता है कि SIR क्यों ज़रूरी था.

बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों ने हैरान करने वाले खुलासे किये, कहा, वो बांग्लादेशी हैं, लेकिन पश्चिम बंगाल में वोट डालते थे, सीमा पार करके भारत में घुसे थे लेकिन उनके पास आधार कार्ड, पैन नंबर,  वोटर कार्ड भी है.

    जब पूछा गया कि आपके पास सब कुछ है तो वापस क्यों जा रहे हो, तो बताया कि SIR के चक्कर में सब गड़बड़ हो गई, वोटर लिस्ट से नाम कट गया, अब पकड़े जाने का डर है, इसलिए मजबूरी में अपने मुल्क लौट रहे हैं.

   एक बांग्लादेशी महिला महफूज़ा खातून ने बताया कि उसने पिछले कई चुनावों में ममता बनर्जी की पार्टी को वोट दिया, उन्हें बंगाल में सरकार की सारी योजनाओं के फायदे भी मिल रहे थे लेकिन बंगाल में सरकार बदली तो हालात बदल गए हैं.

    महफूजा खातून के बेटे रियाजुल शेख ने बताया कि वो 2024 में  18 साल का हुआ था, उसी साल उसका नाम वोटर लिस्ट में जुड़ गया, उसने पिछले लोकसभा चुनाव में वोट डाला.

    हैरानी की बात ये है कि SIR के दौरान उसका नाम वोटर लिस्ट से नहीं कटा. उसने पिछले महीने विधानसभा चुनाव में भी वोट डाला.  लेकिन उसके माता-पिता का नाम वोटर लिस्ट से कट गया है.

   इस तरह दर्जनों परिवार इस वक्त हाकिमपुर बॉर्डर चेक पोस्ट पर जमा हैं. अगर SIR न हुआ होता, तो ये घुसपैठिए आराम से हमारे देश में ही जमे रहते.

    सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने फैसले में साफ कर दिया कि SIR के जरिये मनमर्जी से किसी का वोट न तो काटा गया और न काटा जा सकता है. इसका मतलब है राहुल गांधी का वोट चोरी का आरोप फर्जी है. ममता बनर्जी का ये कहना कि चुनाव आयोग BJP के इशारे पर वोट काटता है, गलत साबित हुआ.

  उल्टा ये साबित हो गया कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने बांग्लादेश से आए घुसपैठियों के वोटर कार्ड बनवाए, बांग्लादेशियों ने खुद बताया कि उनके आधार और पैन कार्ड किसने बनवाए और ममता बनर्जी की पार्टी की मदद से वो देश के दूसरे हिस्सों तक पहुंच सके.

   अब SIR में पकड़े गए, बंगाल में सरकार भी बदल गई, इसलिए वो अपने वतन वापस लौट रहे हैं.

   सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले और बांग्लादेशियों की बात सुनने के बाद कोई भी SIR पर सवाल कैसे उठा सकता है?  

     सवाल तो ये है कि राहुल गांधी अपनी हार के लिए अब किसे जिम्मेदार ठहराएंगे?

  इस बात का क्या जवाब देंगे कि SIR तो केरल में भी हुआ था, वहां कांग्रेस की सरकार कैसे बन गई? क्या अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर भी सवाल उठाए जाएंगे?

   अच्छा तो ये होगा कि दोनों तरफ से संवैधानिक संस्थाओं को राजनीति में न घसीटा जाए.

बंगाल में 30 लाख महिलाएं फर्जी पाई गईं

      SIR का एक असर तो बॉर्डर पर दिख रहा है,  दूसरा असर पश्चिम बंगाल पर दिखा. मुख्यमंत्री शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने बताया कि ममता बनर्जी की सरकार घुसपैठियों को सरकारी योजनाओं का फायदा दे रही थी, घर बनाने के लिए पैसे दे रही थी, लक्ष्मी भंडार योजना के तहत हर महीने 1500 रुपये दे रही थी, मुफ्त राशन दे रही थी.

   बुधवार को शुभेंदु अधिकारी की सरकार ने अन्नपूर्णा योजना के लिए आवेदन फॉर्म जारी किये. 1 जून से 30 अगस्त तक महिलाएं ये फॉर्म भर पाएंगी. इस स्कीम के तहत 25 साल से 60 साल तक की उम्र की सभी महिलाओं को हर महीने 3 हज़ार रुपये मिलेंगे. ये पैसा सीधे बैंक खाते में ट्रांसफर होगा.

      शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने खुलासा किया कि लक्ष्मी भंडार योजना में 30 लाख ऐसी महिलाओं को पैसा दिया जा रहा था जिनके नाम SIR में वोटर लिस्ट से कट गए, इनमें ज्यादातर बांग्लादेशी हैं.

     सोचिए घुसपैठिए हमारे देश के लिए कितनी बड़ी समस्या हैं, वे किस तरह हमारे संसाधनों का फायदा उठा रहे हैं.

    अभी तो सिर्फ ये पता लगा है कि तीस लाख बांग्लादेशी लक्ष्मी भंडार योजना के तहत हर महीने 1500 रु. ले रहे थे, लेकिन मुफ्त राशन, मुफ्त इलाज, मुफ्त में घर, विधवा पेंशन, छात्रों की स्कॉलरशिप जैसी दर्जनों योजनाएं सरकार चलाती हैं.

  ये सारी स्कीम्स हमारे देश के गरीबों की मदद के लिए हैं, लेकिन घुसपैठिए गरीबों का हक मार रहे हैं.

   ये समस्या सिर्फ बंगाल की नहीं है, घुसपैठिए तो सारे देश में फैल चुके हैं और ये संख्या इतनी ज्यादा है कि कई इलाकों में तो घुसपैठियों के कारण डैमोग्राफी बदल गई. इसलिए नरेन्द्र मोदी ने डैमोग्राफी में बदलाव पर विचार करने के लिए एक उच्च स्तरीय कमेटी बनाई है.

   उम्मीद करनी चाहिए कि ये कमेटी जल्द काम शुरू करेगी और घुसपैठ की समस्या पर फुल स्टॉप लगेगा.

बकरीद : मुंबई में कुर्बानी पर विवाद क्यों उठा?

   बकरीद से पहले मुंबई के घाटकोपर और गोरेगांव में हंगामा हुआ. BMC ने बकरीद पर सोसायटीज में या खुली जगह में कुर्बानी पर रोक लगाई थी, लेकिन कुछ लोग कुर्बानी के बकरे लेकर सोसायटीज में पहुंच गए तो हंगामा शुरू हो गया.

     दो सोसायटीज में ज्यादातर लोग मुस्लिम थे इसलिए BMC ने सोसायटी में कुर्बानी की अनुमति दे दी, लेकिन जब विवाद बढा तो BMC को अनुमति वापस लेनी पड़ी. घाटकोपर की सागर पार्क सोसायटी में कुर्बानी के बकरों के लिए शेड बनाया गया था, 30 से ज्यादा बकरे लाये गये थे, लेकिन हिंदुओं ने जब विरोध किया तो मंगलवार रात BMC ने कु्र्बानी की अनुमति वापस ले ली.

   गोरेगांव के गोकुलधाम इलाके की आजाद पार्क सोसायटी में बीएमसी ने मुसलमानों को कुर्बानी की इजाज़त दी थी, लेकिन स्थानीय पार्षद और सोसायटी के लोगों ने विरोध किया, तो यहां भी अनुमति वापस ले ली गई.

    बीएमसी के डिप्टी मेयर ने कहा कि कुर्बानी के लिए 119 जगह तय की गई है और वहीं कुर्बानी होनी चाहिए.

     सबको पता था कि ईद आने वाली है. ये भी मालूम था कि बकरीद पर कुर्बानी दी जाती है, इसलिए कुर्बानी कहां दी जा सकती है इसकी जगह का फैसला पहले से हो सकता था. आखिरी वक्त पर परमिशन रद्द करने या जगह बदलने से समस्या होती है.

  अगर पहले ही बातचीत करके कुछ हल निकाल लिया जाता तो बेहतर होता. उम्मीद है ईद का त्योहार खुशी से मिलजुल कर शांति से मनाया जाएगा. सभी को ईद मुबारक.

  More than 150 infiltrators have lined up near the India-Bangladesh Hakimpur checkpost in  North 24 Parganas for crossing over to their country after a statewide detection drive has begun in West Bengal.

      Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari’s government has set up two ‘holding centres’ in Malda and Murshidabad, while other district collectors have been asked to set up similar holding centres.

     The Chief Minister has instructed police not to send infiltrators to jails or holding centres, and hand them over to Border Security Force, who, in turn, will hand them to Bangladesh Border Guards.

     Most of the infiltrators who have lined up near Hakimpur border checkpost want to cross over to Bangladesh willingly. They will be given safe passage, but those hiding from police will be traced and sent to holding centres.

    This is clearly the effect of political change that has taken place in West Bengal after BJP swept the assembly polls.

      Infiltrators are now  fearing early detection and deportation, after having spent decades on Indian soil freely.

    India TV reporter spoke to several infiltrators near Hakimpur border.  There was one common thread running in their responses. All of them are unhappy over the electoral defeat of Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress government.

   Several infiltrators said, they had no fear of detection during TMC regime in Bengal, they could find safe places to live and got jobs. But 20 days of BJP rule in Bengal has upturned their lives. They said, they want to return to Bangladesh.

      And now, a question for all those who were asking during Bengal elections : Where are the infiltrators in Bengal?

    They should go to the border checkpost and find out for themselves. Those who were alleging that the Election Commission had removed the names of Indian citizens during SIR process, should listen to these infiltrators who are awaiting return to Bangladesh.

     Most of them had secured voter identity cards, Aadhar cards and ration cards, on false grounds. They are Bangladeshi citizens.

     Till Mamata Banerjee ruled Bengal, these infiltrators had no worries about being detected. Now the sword of detection, detention and deportation hangs over their heads.

   Infiltrators who are awaiting return to Bangladesh at the border are living answers to questions that Mamata Banerjee posed during her election campaign.

Who is changing India’s demography?

   Home Minister Amit Shah has constituted a high-level committee headed by retired Supreme Court judge Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar to study the causes behind demographic changes in India.

   Amit Shah has said, unnatural demographic changes due to infiltration and other causes have become a serious issue.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to set up a high-level committee to study the reasons behind demographic changes in India in his Independence Day speech last year.

     The committee includes retired senior IAS offer Durga Shanker Mishra, retired IPS officer Balaji Srivastava and economist Shamika Ravi. The Census Commissioner of India has also been included in the committee. Joint Secretary, Home Ministry will be the member-secretary.

   Amit Shah says, most of the infiltration takes place from Pakistan and Bangladesh borders. He has decided to spend the next 20 days near the border in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tripura and Bengal and prepare an action plan.

     Infiltration from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Myanmar has been taking place over the last several decades. In 2013, the then Congress-led UPA government had admitted that there are nearly 2.5 crore Bangladeshis illegally staying in India.

    This has resulted in demographic changes in several states and it can pose security risks. This matter has to be handled cautiously.

    Amit Shah won laurels for uprooting left-wing extremism (Maoism) in India. One must hope he will be able to detect infiltrators and deport them at the earliest.

Bakrid : Celebrate in peace

    There was tension in some residential societies in Mumbai’s Mira Bhayandar locality after more than 40 goats were brought to a shed inside a residential complex for slaughter during Bakrid.

  Hindu families objected, while Muslim residents insisted they would perform Qurbani inside the complex. Bajrang Dal activists were called in. There were clashes in which several people were injured.

     Police finally persuaded both sides and took away the goats in three trucks to a place earmarked by municipal authorities, where Qurbani will be performed during Bakrid.

      Top Muslim maulanas have appealed to people to refrain from creating controversies during Bakrid. This is a welcome step. The chief of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Maulana Arshad Madani has appealed to Muslims not to perform Qurbani (slaughter) of prohibited animals, follow government guidelines, refrain from posting pictures of slaughtered animals on social media, and taking law into own hands if any controversy arose.

      Maulana Arshad Madani has also appealed to people not to throw remains of animals slaughtered during Bakrid on roads or drains.

     Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said, Muslim community in his state has promised not to slaughter cattle during Bakrid.  Sarma said, this will help in fostering communal brotherhood.

     I think Muslims living in other states should also follow their brethren from Assam and listen to the sane advice of Maulanas. The tension that took place in a residential locality in Mumbai could have been avoided.

   State governments in UP, MP, Delhi, Maharashtra, Bengal and other states have issued strict guidelines for Qurbani during Bakrid.

     Everybody must follow these guidelines strictly. It is not the responsibility of Muslims alone to maintain communal harmony. Hindu outfits must also exercise patience. Action must be taken against miscreants, irrespective of religion, who deliberately try to create tension.

पश्चिम बंगाल में बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों की धरपकड़ के बाद उत्तरी 24 परगना के हाकिमपुर बॉर्डर चेकपोस्ट पर बांग्लादेश लौटने के लिए लोगों की कतारें लग गई हैं.

   मुख्यमंत्री शुभेन्दु अधिकारी की सरकार ने मालदा और मुर्शिदाबाद में होल्डिंग सेंटर्स बनाए हैं, जहां बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों को डिपोर्ट करने के लिए रखा जा रहा है.

   जो बांग्लादेशी कई साल पहले अवैध तरीके से बंगाल में घुसे, हमारे देश में बस गए, अब वो जल्द से जल्द वापस भागने की फिराक में हैं.

     बंगाल में सरकार बदली और बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठिए खुद अपना सामान समेट कर बॉर्डर पर पहुंच गए.

  बड़ी बात ये है कि शुभेन्दु अधिकारी ने पुलिस को निर्देश दिया है कि  बॉर्डर पर पहुंचे घुसपैठियों को जेल न भेजे, होल्डिंग सेंटर्स में न पहुंचाएं. उन्हें BSF के हवाले कर दिया जाए, BSF उन्हें बांग्लादेश बॉर्डर गार्ड्स को सौंपेगी.

   राज्य सरकार कानूनी पचड़े में पड़कर घुसपैठियों को लंबे वक्त तक माछ-भात खिलाने के मूड में नहीं है.

    बंगाल में जो घुसपैठिए खुद-ब-खुद अपने मुल्क लौट रहे हैं, उन्हें सेफ पैसेज दिया जाएगा लेकिन जो घुसपैठिए छिपे हुए हैं, उन्हें खोज-खोज कर होल्डिंग सेंटर्स में भेजा जाएगा.

   ये सब कुछ बंगाल में राजनीतिक बदलाव का असर है. बीजेपी की सरकार बनने का इतना खौफ है कि जो घुसपैठिए सालों  पहले हमारे देश में अवैध रूप से घुसे थे, वे खुद-ब-खुद वापस भागने की जुगाड़ में हैं.

  इंडिया टीवी संवाददाता ने  हाकिमपुर बॉर्डर पर इन लोगों से बात की, उन्हें हिन्दी नहीं आती, वो बांग्ला बोलते हैं. कुछ घुसपैठियों ने टूटी-फूटी हिन्दी सीख ली है.

  इन सब ने जो कहा उसमें एक बात एक जैसी थी. सबके सब ममता बनर्जी की सरकार जाने से दुखी हैं.

    ज्यादातर घुसपैठियों ने कहा कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस के ज़माने में उन्हें दिक्कत नहीं थी, उन्हें रहने की जगह भी मिल जाती थी, काम धंधा भी मिल जाता था लेकिन बीजेपी ने बीस दिन में ही जीना मुश्किल कर दिया है, इसलिए अब वतन लौटने में ही भलाई है.

    जो लोग पूछते थे कि बंगाल में घुसपैठिए कहां हैं, उन्हें सरहद पर लगी लाइनें देखनी चाहिए.

   जो कहते थे चुनाव आयोग ने SIR में अपने नागरिकों के वोट काटे, उन्हें बॉर्डर पर सामान लेकर खड़े लोगों की बात सुननी चाहिए.

    इनके पास वोटर कार्ड, आधार कार्ड और राशन कार्ड है, लेकिन सब फर्जी हैं. ये बांग्लादेशी नागरिक हैं.

     जब तक ममता बनर्जी की सरकार थी इन घुसपैठियों को लेकर किसी को परवाह नहीं थी, अब पकड़े जाने और डिटेन्शन सेंटर में जाने का डर है. इसलिए वो वापस अपने वतन जाना चाहते हैं.

  सरहद पर खड़े ये लोग उन सारे सवालों का जिंदा जवाब हैं, जो ममता बनर्जी ने घुसपैठियों के बारे में पूछे थे.

कौन कर रहे हैं डेमोग्राफी में बदलाव?

   गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने घुसपैठ की वजह से देश की डेमोग्राफी में हो रहे बदलाव के अध्ययन के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट के रिटायर्ड जज जस्टिस प्रकाश प्रभाकर नावलेकर की अध्यक्षता में एक उच्चस्तरीय समिति बनाई है.

   अमित शाह ने कहा कि घुसपैठ के कारण देश में अप्राकृतिक ढंग से डेमोग्राफी में बदलाव  हुए हैं, जो एक बड़ी समस्या है.

    प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने पिछले साल लालकिले से इस तरह की उच्च स्तरीय समिति बनाने का वादा किया था, जिसे पूरा किया गया है.

   रिटायर्ड IAS अधिकारी दुर्गा शंकर मिश्र, रिटायर्ड IPS अधिकारी बालाजी श्रीवास्तव और अर्थशास्त्री शमिका रवि समिति के सदस्य होंगे. गृह मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव इस समिति के पदेन सचिव होंगे.   इस समिति में भारत के जनगणना आयुक्त को भी शामिल किया गया है.

      बांग्लादेश, पाकिस्तान और म्यांमार से पिछले कई दशकों से भारत में घुसपैठ होती रही है.

   कांग्रेस के ज़माने में 2013 में केंद्र सरकार ने माना था कि देश में करीब ढाई करोड़ अवैध बांग्लादेशी हैं. ये सब देश के कोने कोने में जाकर बस गए हैं.

    कई जगहों पर उनके कारण डेमोग्राफी में बदलाव हुए हैं, जो देश के लिए खतरा है. इसलिए ये काम बड़े व्यवस्थित  तरीके से करना होगा.

  अमित शाह ने नक्सलवाद को जड़ से उखाड़कर फेंक दिया, इसलिए ये विश्वास करना चाहिए कि वो भारत में छिपे घुसपैठियों को चुन-चुनकर खोजेंगे और उन्हें वापस उनके देश भेजेंगे.

  अमित शाह तपती धूप में 20 दिन पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश सीमा पर बिताएंगे. वह राजस्थान, गुजरात, त्रिपुरा और पश्चिम बंगाल जाएंगे.

    इन 20 दिनों में जो जानकारी हासिल होगी, उसके आधार पर  एक बड़ा एक्शन प्लान बनाया जाएगा.

बकरीद पर शांति बनाए रखें

   मुंबई में बकरीद से पहले मीरा भायंदर की रेज़िडेन्शियल सोसायटीज़ में कुर्बानी को लेकर तनाव पैदा हो गया. कुछ लोगों ने सोसायटी में 40 से ज्यादा बकरे जमा कर लिए जबकि प्रशासन ने कुर्बानी की जगहें तय की हैं और खुले में कुर्बानी पर रोक लगाई है.

  हिन्दू परिवारों ने  बकरों को लाने का विरोध किया लेकिन मुस्लिम परिवार नहीं माने. बजरंग दल के लोग पहुंचे, मुस्लिम पक्ष और RWA से बात की, लेकिन बात नहीं बनी तो दोनों पक्षों में झड़प हो गई. कुछ लोगों को चोटें आईं.

   पुलिस ने दोनों पक्षों को समझाया. आखिरकार पुलिस ने तीन ट्रक मंगवाए और बकरों को उस जगह पर शिफ्ट किया जहां नगरपालिका ने कुर्बानी के लिए तय की है.

     अच्छी बात ये है कि बड़े बड़े मौलाना लोगों से  इस तरह के विवादों से बचने की अपील कर रहे हैं.

      जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के सदर मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने मुसलमानों से कहा कि वे प्रतिबंधित जानवरों की कुर्बानी न करें, कुर्बानी के वक्त  सरकारी आदेशों का पालन करें, खुले में कुर्बानी न दें, कुर्बानी के बाद जानवर की तस्वीर सोशल मीडिया पर शेयर न करें, अगर कुर्बानी के दौरान कोई विवाद होता है तो खुद कानून हाथ में लेने की बजाए प्रशासन की मदद लें.

  मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने कहा कि कुर्बानी के जानवरों के अवशेषों को सड़कों, गलियों और नालों में न डालें.  

   असम के मुख्यमंत्री हिमंता बिस्व सरमा ने कहा है कि हिंदुओं की भावनाओं का सम्मान करते हुए कई मुस्लिम संगठनों ने उनसे वादा किया है कि वे इस बार बकरीद पर गाय की कुर्बानी नहीं देंगे. हिमंता ने कहा कि इस तरह की समझदारी से समाज में भाईचारा बढ़ेगा.

     जो समझदारी असम के मुस्लिम भाइयों ने दिखाई, उसी तरह दूसरे राज्यों के लोगों को भी सोचना चाहिए, मौलानाओं की बात सुननी चाहिए.

  मुंबई में जिस तरह तनाव हुआ, वो अच्छी बात नहीं है. दिल्ली, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, बंगाल में राज्य सरकारों ने बकरीद के लिए गाइडलाइन्स जारी की है. सबको नियमों का पालन करना चाहिए.

  सांप्रदायिक सौहार्द बनाए रखना सिर्फ मुस्लिम भाइयों की जिम्मेदारी नहीं है. हिन्दू संगठनों को भी संयम रखना पड़ेगा.

   अगर कोई बकरीद के मौके पर जान बूझ कर माहौल खराब करे, रंग में भंग डाले तो उनके खिलाफ बिना मजहब देखे एक्शन होना चाहिए.

Even as negotiations continued over a peace deal in Middle East, US army launched new strikes near Bandar Abbas and other parts of southern Iran, targeting missile launch sites and boats suspected of placing mines.

US Central Command claimed the strikes were carried out in “self-defense”. Iran Revolutionary Guards claimed it shot down a US Reaper drone.

US President Donald Trump said, he has ordered a pause on attacks on Iran at the request of Gulf leaders after Iran sent a new peace proposal through Pakistan.

Trump said, there is now a “very good chance” of US reaching an agreement to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, Israel carried out at least 10 strikes within half an hour in Bekaa Valley of southern Lebanon targeting Hezbollah. At least a dozen people were killed and excavators were still digging through the rubble when last reports came in.

US-Iran peace deal efforts have resulted in a positive trend in Indian stock markets. One US dollar now costs Rs 95.69. On Tuesday, CNG price was hiked by Rs 2 per kg. In a span of 11 days, CNG has become costlier by Rs 7 per kg.

Prices of petrol and diesel were raised on Monday by Rs 2.61 and Rs 2.71 per litre. This was the fourth hike in 11 days. In Delhi, a litre of petrol now sells above Rs 100.

Opposition parties have attacked the government for the rise in fuel and gas prices. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, international crude prices had begun rising even before the onset of US-Iran war.

She said, for two and a half months, the government had to bear the burden of crude price hike because of breaks in supply chain.

The Centre, she said, had to give Rs 1 lakh crore to oil marketing companies. Now that the US-Iran war has stretched, prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and CNG are being hiked, she said.

I spoke to several experts on this issue. They pointed out that crude prices have jumped by 40-45 pc since the conflict in the Middle East. Since India imports 90 pc of crude from abroad, pressures have been created on our foreign exchange reserves. Oil marketing companies were losing Rs 1000 crore daily.

Asked why prices of petrol, diesel and gas are being hiked now that international crude prices are falling, the experts said, oil marketing companies buy crude on futures basis. Crude that is purchased today may take a month to reach our shores.

The question now: Will petrol, diesel, CNG become cheaper after a month? The answer: if peace returns to the Middle East and the supply chains are restored that prices can fall, but there can be lasting peace only when the US and Iran reach a deal.

The positive aspect is, Iran and the US are continuing talks. The world wants Trump to clinch a deal with Iran and the war to end.

Trump wants the matter to be resolved soon, but the US neither wants to appear weak nor wants to bow down.

Today, the situation is such that neither has Iran been defeated nor has America emerged victorious. Trump not only wants to make a deal but also wants to change this narrative of win-loss. He wants the world to say that there’s no one like Trump.

UCC in Assam : Relief for tribals

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s government has brought a Uniform Civil Code bill in Assam assembly. This will be applicable to people of all religions as far as marriage, divorce, succession and adoption laws are concerned.

Polygamy will be banned, those living in live-in relationship must compulsorily register themselves and inform authorities when they separate.

UCC will not be applicable to tribals. The minimum age of marriage for males of all religions, except tribals, has been fixed at 21 years and for females at 18 years.

According to this bill, people of all religions will have the right to conduct weddings as per their own traditions, whether they are Hindus, Muslims or Sikhs, but registration will be compulsory.

The bill prescribes seven years’ imprisonment for any married person entering wedlock for the second time. It also prescribes seven years’ jail for any male marrying a woman through coercion or by concealing his real identity.

Two years’ imprisonment has been prescribed for any person carrying out child marriage. If any male divorces his wife in an illegal manner or forces her to perform ‘halala’ for remarriage, he will face three years’ imprisonment along with Rs one lakh fine.

Tribals have been kept out of the purview of this law. Tribal leaders across the country have welcomed this provision.

When UCC was implemented in Uttarakhand, many questions were raised at that time. Questions were raised whether Muslims will not be able to perform ‘nikaah’ and perform “saat pherey” (seven rounds of sacred fire as per Hindu ritual).

It was also alleged that police would get powers to keep a watch on the bedroom of couples having live-in relationship. All these fears were proved baseless.

Secondly, the law ensured a halt to religious conversion of tribals through coercion or deceit.

UCC will now be implemented in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, where a large number of tribals live. It is essential that tribal communities must have the right to protect and preserve their identity.

Bakrid : Be careful during ‘qurbani’

Security has been tightened in residential societies of Mumbai ahead of Bakrid this week. Police carried out flag march in some localities and bouncers have been deployed in societies.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ government has issued strict guidelines for ‘qurbani’ (sacrifice) during Bakrid festival.

The guidelines say, anybody carrying out cow slaughter will face MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organized Crimes Act). Slaughtering of animals in public places has been banned. Slaughtering inside residential societies have been prohibited.

Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane created a hornets’ nest by remarking that those who were advising ‘dry Holi’ should not advise Muslims to perform “virtual Qurbani”. Muslim organisations have objected to this remark.

Nitesh Rane may be right, but the manner of speaking is not commensurate with the decorum of the office that he holds. A minister must avoid using such language.

As far as enforcing regulations during Bakrid is concerned, it is the responsibility f the government and people must follow guidelines.

Nobody will support slaughtering of animals in public. There cannot be any objection to this guideline.

Cow slaughtering is already banned legally and action against cow slaughterers must be taken. But it is not necessary for a minister to speak on this issue.

अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच जहां शांति समझौते को लेकर बातचीत चल रही है, वहीं एक दूसरे पर हमले भी जारी हैं.

अमेरिकी सेना ने सोमवार रात दक्षिण ईरान के मिसाइल लांच ठिकानों और समुद्र में बारूदी सुरंग बिछाने वाली ईरान की नौकाओं पर हमले किये. जवाब में ईरान ने एक अमेरिकी रीपर ड्रोन को मार गिराया.

उधर, इज़राइल ने लेबनान में हिज़्बुल्लाह के ठिकानों पर आधे घंटे के अंदर दस हमले किये जिसमें 12 से ज्यादा लोगों की मौत हो गई. अभी भी मलबे में से लोगों को ढूंढा जा रहा है.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डॉनल्ड ट्रंप ने कहा है कि उन्होंने खाड़ी देशों के नेताओं के अनुरोध के बाद ईरान पर हमले फिलहाल रोक दिये हैं.

ईरान अमेरिका के बीच शांति की कोशिश का असर भारत में दिखाई दिया. रूपए की कीमत में सुधार हुआ. रूपया डॉलर के मुकाबले मजबूत हुआ. एक डॉलर की कीमत इस वक्त 95.69 रुपये है. शेयर बाजार में सुधार हुआ.

मंगलवार को सीएनजी के दाम में 2 रुपये प्रति किलो बढ़ोतरी का ऐलान हुआ, यानी पिछले 11 दिन में सीएनजी 7 रुपये महंगी हो गई है.

सोमवार को तेल कंपनियों ने पेट्रोल की क़ीमत दो रुपए 61 पैसे और डीज़ल 2 रुपए 71 पैसे प्रति लीटर बढ़ा दी. 11 दिनों में चौथी बार पेट्रोल डीज़ल के दाम बढ़े हैं. दिल्ली में पेट्रोल 100 रुपए लीटर को पार कर गया.

विपक्षी दलों ने तेल के दाम बढ़ने को लेकर सरकार पर तीखे हमले किए.

वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि कच्चे तेल के दाम ईरान पर हमले के साथ ही बढ़ने शुरू हो गए थे, लेकिन सरकार ने सप्लाई चेन टूटने का सारा बोझ ढाई महीने तक ख़ुद उठाया और तेल कंपनियों को एक लाख करोड़ रुपए दिए. चूंकि संकट लम्बा खिंच गया है, इसलिए अब दाम बढ़ाने के सिवा कोई रास्ता नहीं है.

सवाल ये है कि जब हमारे पास तेल का पर्याप्त रिज़र्व है तो पेट्रोल डीज़ल की क़ीमतें क्यों बढ़ रही हैं.

मैंने कई एक्सपर्ट्स से बात की. उनका कहना है कि मध्य पूर्व में जंग शुरू होने के बाद से अन्तरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में कच्चे तेल का भाव 40-45 प्रतिशत बढ़ चुका है.

चूंकि हम अपना 90 प्रतिशत कच्चा तेल आयात करते हैं, इसलिए कच्चे तेल के दाम बढ़ने का दबाव हमारे विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार पर पड़ा. तेल कंपनियों ने दो महीने तक हर दिन करीब एक हज़ार करोड़ रुपए तक का घाटा सहा.

इसीलिए अब पेट्रोल डीज़ल के दाम बढाये जा रहे हैं.

सवाल ये है कि अब तो कच्चे तेल के दाम गिरे हैं. इस पर एक्सपर्ट्स का कहना है कि तेल कंपनियां फ्यूचर में सप्लाई के लिए डील करती हैं. आज के दाम पर जो कच्चा तेल खरीदा गया है, उसे भारत पहुंचने में एक महीना लगेगा.

अब सवाल ये है कि क्या एक महीने बाद पेट्रोल डीजल सस्ता हो जाएगा?

इसका जवाब ये है कि अगर मध्य पूर्व में शान्ति होती है, सप्लाई चेन दुरुस्त होती है तो तेल के दाम भी कम हो सकते हैं. लेकिन शान्ति तभी होगी जब अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच समझौता हो जाए.

पूरी दुनिया चाहती है कि ट्रंप की ईरान के साथ डील हो जाए और जंग पूरी तरह बंद हो जाए क्योंकि इस अहंकार की लड़ाई ने पूरी दुनिया का नुकसान किया है.

ट्रंप भी अब यही चाहते हैं कि अब मामला जल्द निपटे लेकिन अमेरिका न तो कमजोर दिखना चाहता है, न झुकना चाहता है.

आज भी स्थिति ये है कि न ईरान हारा, न अमेरिका की जीत हुई. ट्रंप डील तो करना चाहते हैं पर हार-जीत के इस नैरेटिव को बदलना चाहते हैं. वह तो चाहते हैं कि दुनिया कहे कि ट्रंप जैसा कोई नहीं.

असम में यूसीसी : आदिवासियों को छूट

असम में सीएम हिमंता बिस्वा सरमा की सरकार ने विधानसभा में यूनिफॉर्म सिविल कोड बिल पेश किया.

इस कानून के लागू होने से असम में सभी धर्मों के लोगों के लिए शादी, तलाक़, विरासत और गोद लेने के क़ानून एक जैसे होंगे, कई शादियां करने पर पाबंदी लग जाएगी, लिव-इन में रहने वाले कपल्स के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना अनिवार्य होगा और अलग होने की जानकारी भी सरकार को देनी होगी.

यूनिफॉर्म सिविल कोड, असम के आदिवासियों पर लागू नहीं होगा. आदिवासियों को छोड़कर सभी धर्मों में लड़के के लिए शादी की उम्र कम से कम 21 साल और लड़की की 18 साल होनी चाहिए.

सभी धर्मों के लोगों को अपनी परिपाटियों और रीति रिवाज के मुताबिक शादी का अधिकार होगा, चाहे वह हिन्दू हो, मुसलमान हो, या सिख हो, लेकिन शादी का रजिस्ट्रेशन सबके लिए जरूरी होगा.

अगर कोई शादीशुदा व्यक्ति दूसरी शादी करता है तो उसे सात साल तक की सजा हो सकती है.

अगर किसी ने पहचान छुपाकर धोखे से या जबरन शादी की तो उसे भी सात साल क़ैद होगी. बाल विवाह करने वालों को भी कम से कम दो साल की सज़ा होगी.

अगर कोई अपनी पत्नी को गैरक़ानूनी तरीके से तलाक़ देता है या तलाकशुदा महिला को दोबारा शादी से पहले हलाला के लिए मजबूर किया जाता है तो ऐसी हरकत करने वालों को तीन साल जेल की सज़ा होगी और एक लाख रुपए का जुर्माना लगेगा.

UCC से आदिवासियों को बाहर रखने का देशभर के आदिवासी नेताओं ने स्वागत किया.

जहां तक UCC का मुद्दा है, जब उत्तराखंड में UCC लागू हुआ था तब बहुत सारे सवाल उठाए गए थे.

यहां तक कहा गया कि लिव-इन में रहने वालों के घर में पुलिस झांकेगी, आदिवासियों के अधिकार छीन लिए जाएंगे लेकिन ये सारी बातें निराधार साबित हुईं.

दूसरी बात ये सुनिश्चित हुई कि आदिवासियों को गुमराह करके धर्म परिवर्तन कराने वालों पर रोक लगेगी.

अब UCC बंगाल, मध्यप्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र में भी लागू होगा. यहां भी आदिवासी बड़ी संख्या में हैं. इसलिए ये ज़रूरी है कि आदिवासियों की मूल पहचान को बनाए रखा जाए.

बकरीद : कुर्बानी पर सावधानी बरतें

बकरीद से पहले मुंबई की रेजीडेंशियल सोसायटीज में सुरक्षा बढ़ा दी गई. पुलिस फ्लैग मार्च कर रही है. कई सोसायटीज के बाहर बाउंसर्स की तैनाती हो गई है.

देवेन्द्र फडणवीस की सरकार ने बकरीद के दिन कुर्बानी के लिए सख्त गाइडलाइन्स जारी की हैं.

सरकारी आदेश के मुताबिक, बकरीद के दिन अगर किसी ने गौहत्या की तो उसके खिलाफ MCOCA के तहत केस दर्ज होगा, सार्वजनिक जगहों पर कुर्बानी पर पाबंदी है, सोसायटीज के भीतर कुर्बानी नहीं होगी.

सरकार सुरक्षा के इंतजाम कर रही है लेकिन इसी दौरान महाराष्ट्र के मंत्री नितेश राणे ने बकरीद पर वर्चुअल कुर्बानी की सलाह दे डाली. इससे मुस्लिम संगठनों में नाराजगी है.

नितेश राणे ने कहा कि जो लोग हिन्दुओं को ड्राई होली मनाने का सुझाव देते हैं, वो बकरीद पर वर्चुअल कुर्बानी की सलाह क्यों नहीं देते.

नितेश राणे भले ही बात सही कहते हों, लेकिन उनके कहने का तरीका उनके पद की गरिमा के अनुकूल नहीं है. मंत्री इस तरह की भाषा का इस्तेमाल करे, ये ठीक नहीं है.

जहां तक बकरीद के दिन नियम कानून लागू करने की बात है, सुरक्षा के इंतजाम का सवाल है, ये सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है.

लोगों को सरकारी निर्देशों का पालन करना ही चाहिए. खुले में कुर्बानी को कोई समर्थन नहीं करेगा. सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर गंदगी फैलाने का कौन समर्थन करेगा?

इसलिए इसे रोकने में कोई बुराई नहीं है. गोहत्या पर कानूनी तौर पर पाबंदी है इसलिए गोहत्या करने वालों के खिलाफ एक्शन भी जायज है. लेकिन इसके लिए मंत्री को बोलने की जरूरत नहीं हैं.

यूपी में भी योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कड़े नियम लागू किए हैं. योगी ने पुलिस को कानून का पालन न करने वाले के खिलाफ एक्शन के निर्देश दिए हैं .

महाराष्ट्र में भी यही होना चाहिए. नितेश राणे को इस पर बोलने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है.

As the severest heat wave in recent times sweeps large parts of India, all previous records of heat were broken, new records were made in peak power demand, and records were set for frequent and prolonged power outage.

Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Odisha are facing severe heat wave.

On Friday, the world’s top 50 hottest cities were in India. Banda in UP was the hottest with its max. temp. at 48.2 deg C.

People came out on roads to protest frequent and prolonged power cuts in Lucknow and other cities of UP. They gheraoed power stations and forced their local MLAs and Mayors to intervene.

Union Power Ministry says, on May 18, power demand across India was 257 gigawatts, which rose to 271 gigawatts on May 21. In June last year, the highest power demand was 243 gigawatts.

The Centre says there is no power shortage, but problems arise due to sudden rise in load.

Problems do not come alone. First, petrol, diesel, CNG prices were hiked, then followed a gruelling summer both during day and in the night, and this led to highest peak power demand.

Those who were using diesel generators in the past, had switched to electricity, and since most of the homes have power meters now, the demand for power has increased.

If UP is said to be power surplus, then the problem lies in power transmission. If supply lines are not working satisfactorily and transformers get burnt, then the blame lies with local power distribution.

If people suffer from power cuts despite surplus power generation, it means, the local power supply officials did not make adequate preparations in advance for the gruelling Indian summer.

Those responsible for this, must face power disconnection in their homes for a few days. Only then will they realize the intensity of heat.

Bakrid : No namaz on road

After UP CM Yogi Adityanath ruled out namaz on roads, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that his government would not allow roads to be blocked for namaz in public.

The BJP government in West Bengal has also prohibited offering of namaz in public places. Animal sacrifices in public have also been banned.

Last year, thousands turned up to offer namaz on public thoroughfares on the last Friday preceding Bakrid, but this year, neither were the roads blocked nor was traffic obstructed. People offered prayers inside mosques.

Delhi government has issued guidelines prohibiting animal sacrifices on Bakrid in public places. Anybody found slaughtering cattle or camel in public will face action.

Even Muslim scholars agree that sacrificing cows during Bakrid is not acceptable and the law does not allow this.

Slaughtering animals in public causes problems to people from other religions. Offering namaz on public thoroughfares cause traffic jams. Our Muslim brethren will never like others to face problems because of their festival.

Top maulanas have appealed to people to offer namaz in mosques and avoid Bakrid slaughtering in public places.

Let us hope people heed to their advice and the festival of Eidul Azha is observed in an atmosphere of amity and peace.

Why is Brij Bhushan hounding Vinesh Phogat?

Delhi High Court has slammed Wrestling Federation of India for preventing wrestler Vinesh Phogat from participating in the selection trials for Asian Games.

The High Court took objection to the WFI describing Phogat as “a national shame” for her defeat in 2024 Paris Olympics.

The WFI had declared Phogat as ineligible for participation in selection trials. The High Court said, WFI should not work with vengeance.

The bench asked the Centre to set up a panel of experts to decide whether Vinesh Phogat should be allowed in selection trials for Asian Games, scheduled for May 30-31.

The High Court said, to become a mother is a matter of honour and she should not be penalized for becoming a mother. WFI has been consistently harassing Vinesh Phogat and the High Court has also pointed this out.

It was Vinesh Phogat who had raised her voice against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, whose men run WFI, and she has been penalized this time. It is a sin to prevent a sportsperson from taking part in sports.

What’s wrong if Vinesh contested elections on a Congress ticket? What’s wrong if the wrestling champion became a mother? How can questions be raised about her wrestling based on these flimsy grounds?

Let the Centre set up an independent panel of experts. The Centre must ensure that Brijbhushan’s men must not interfere with the work of the panel.

देश में गर्मी के सारे रिकॉर्ड टूट गए, गर्मी के कारण बिजली की मांग के नए रिकॉर्ड बन गए, मांग बढ़ी तो पावर कट के रिकॉर्ड बन गए.

उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान, हरियाणा, बिहार, पंजाब, छत्तीसगढ़, महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, तेलंगाना और ओडिशा तेज़ गर्मी से झुलस रहे हैं.

दुनिया के सबसे गरम पचास शहरों में सारे के सारे शहर भारत के हैं. यूपी का बांदा सबसे गर्म रहा, जहां तापमान 48.2 डिग्री तक पहुंचा.

ऐसे में बार-बार पावर कट होने से लखनऊ सहित कई शहरों में लोगों ने सड़कों पर आकर प्रोटैस्ट किया, बिजली घर का घेराव किया, कहीं विधायक, तो कहीं मेयर को पब्लिक का गुस्सा झेलना पड़ा.

केन्द्र सरकार के ऊर्जा मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, 18 मई को पूरे देश में 257 गीगावाट बिजली की मांग थी जो 21 मई को बढ़ कर 271 गीगावाट तक पहुंच गई, जबकि पिछले साल जून में बिजली की मांग 243 गीगावाट थी.

सरकार का दावा है कि बिजली की कमी नहीं है लेकिन अचानक लोड बढ़ने से सप्लाई में समस्या आ रही है.

कहते हैं कि मुसीबत अकेले नहीं आती. एक तो पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमत बढ़ी, उस पर गर्मी भी खूब पड़ी, बिजली की मांग और बढ़ी.

जो लोग पहले डीजल जेनरेटर का इस्तेमाल करते थे, वो भी अब बिजली पर शिफ्ट हो गए. अब पहले से ज्यादा घरों में बिजली के मीटर लगे हैं, इसलिए मांग और भी ज्यादा है.

अगर उत्तर प्रदेश में बिजली सरप्लस है तो फिर सप्लाई की समस्या क्यों है? अगर सप्लाई लाइन गड़बड़ है तो ये गलत है. अगर ट्रांसफॉर्मर्स जलने लगे हैं तो ये बिजली विभाग की खामी है.

अगर बिजली की सप्लाई में कमी नहीं है, उसके बाद भी लोगों को मुसीबत झेलनी पड़ रही है तो इसका मतलब है कि बिजली विभाग ने एडवांस में तैयारी नहीं की.

जो भी लोग इसके लिए जिम्मेदार हैं, थोड़े दिन के लिए उनके घरों की बिजली काट देनी चाहिए, तब पता चलेगा, गर्मी क्या होती है.

बकरीद : सड़कों पर नमाज़ नहीं

योगी आदित्यनाथ के बाद अब उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर धामी ने कहा है कि सरकार सड़कों पर लोगों को नमाज़ पढ़ने नहीं देगी. धामी ने कहा, कुछ लोग ईद के बहाने सड़क पर नमाज़ पढ़ने की मांग कर रहे हैं लेकिन वे समझ लें कि सरकार किसी कीमत पर इसकी इजाजत नहीं देगी.

बंगाल में भी इस बार सड़कों पर नमाज़ पर पाबंदी है. ईद के दिन न सार्वजनिक जगहों पर कुर्बानी होगी, न सड़कों पर नमाज होगी.

पिछले साल तक बंगाल में बकरीद से पहले आखिरी जुमे की नमाज सड़कों पर होती थी लेकिन इस बार ऐसा नहीं हुआ. न सड़क ब्लॉक की गई, न ट्रैफिक रुका, सारे नमाजी मस्जिद में गए, नमाज़ पढ़ी और घर गए.

दिल्ली सरकार ने कहा है कि इस बार बकरीद पर खुले में कुर्बानी नहीं होगी. अगर किसी ने गोवंश या ऊंट को काटने की कोशिश की तो उसके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई होगी.

ये बात तो मुस्लिम विद्वान भी मानते हैं कि बकरीद पर गाय की कुर्बानी सही नहीं है, कानून भी इसकी इजाज़त नहीं देता.

खुले में कुर्बानी से दूसरे लोगों को दिक्कत होती है. सड़क पर नमाज पढ़ने से ट्रैफिक जाम होता है. त्योहार पर दूसरों का मन खट्टा हो, किसी को परेशानी हो, ये तो मुस्लिम भाई भी नहीं चाहेंगे.

अच्छी बात ये है कि इस बार बड़े-बड़े मौलाना भी मुस्लिम भाइयों से अपील कर रहे हैं कि मस्जिद में ही नमाज़ अदा करें, घर के भीतर ही कुर्बानी दें.

यकीन करना चाहिए कि मौलानाओं की अपील का असर होगा और बकरीद का त्योहार जोश और उमंग के साथ अमन के माहौल में मनाया जाएगा.

विनेश फोगाट : बृजभूषण का बदला

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने विनेश फोगाट के साथ ज्यादती करने पर भारतीय कुश्ती फेडरेशन को फटकार लगाई. कुश्ती फेडरेशन ने घरेलू प्रतियोगिताओं के लिए विनेश फोगाट को अयोग्य ठहरा दिया था.

हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि Maternity Leave के बाद वापसी कर रहीं खिलाड़ी के साथ कुश्ती संघ को बदले की भावना से काम नहीं करना चाहिए.

हाईकोर्ट ने केंद्र सरकार से एक्सपर्ट का एक पैनल बनाने को भी कहा, जो इस बात का आकलन करेगा कि विनेश फोगाट कुश्ती के लिए फिट हैं या नहीं.

इसके साथ ही कोर्ट ने विनेश को एशियन गेम्स के सेलेक्शन ट्रायल्स में भाग लेने की परमिशन देने का निर्देश भी दिया. विनेश फोगाट ने कोर्ट से कहा था कि वो Maternity Leave के बाद कुश्ती में वापसी करना चाहती हैं.

हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि मां बनना सम्मान का काम है, इस बात के लिए किसी को सज़ा नहीं देनी चाहिए.

इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि कुश्ती महासंघ ने विनेश फोगाट के साथ बार-बार ज्यादती की है. इस बार तो हाई कोर्ट ने भी माना कि विनेश के खिलाफ बदले की भावना से काम किया गया.

मोटी बात ये है कि विनेश ने बृजभूषण शरण सिंह के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई थी, उसकी सजा उन्हें दी गई. किसी भी खिलाड़ी को खेलने से रोकना किसी पाप से कम नहीं होता.

क्या हुआ अगर विनेश कांग्रेस के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ी? क्या हुआ अगर ये चैंपियन मां बन गई? इससे उसकी कुश्ती पर सवाल कैसे उठाए जा सकते हैं?

अब केंद्र सरकार जो एक्सपर्ट्स पैनल बनाए, वो पूरी तरह स्वतंत्र हो, और ये सुनिश्चित किया जाए कि पैनल पर बृजभूषण शरण सिंह की सेवा में लगे लोगों की छाया न पड़े.

Unidentified killers in Muzaffarabad, Pak Occupied Kashmir, showered bullets on Hamza Burhan, said to be the mastermind behind November 2020 grenade attack on a CRPF camp in Pulwama.

In true ‘Dhurandhar’ style, the assassins fled on a motorbike after killing him on the spot.

Hamza Burhan was the commander of Al Badr, an outfit propped up by Pakistan’s ISI. He was hiding in PoK.

This is not the first case of killing of a terrorist in Pakistan. There is a long list.

More than a dozen terrorists were killed, some inside mosques, madarsas, in jail and on road in the last few years. In most of the cases, the killers could not be traced.

In May, 2025, Lashkar terrorist Saifullah Khalid was killed in Sindh province.

In March last year, ISI agent Mufti Shah Mir was shot dead in Balochistan. He was the ISI agent who had abducted former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav from Iran border.

In March, 2024, Pakistan army’s Major Daniel was killed in Peshawar. He was the mastermind behind the terror attack on an army convoy in Baramulla in 2016.

In December, 2023, Lashkar-e-Toiba chief Hafiz Saeed’s confidante Adnan Ahmed was shot dead in Karachi. Adnan masterminded the attack on a CRPF convoy in Pampore, Kashmir.

In November, 2023, Jaish chief Masood Azhar’s confidante Rahimullah was killed in Karachi.

In October, 2023, Jaish commander Shahid Latif was killed. He was the mastermind behind the attack on IAF Pathankot air base in 2016.

Other terrorists killed in Pakistan include Abu Qatal, Akram Ghazi, Khwaza Shahid, Maulana Ziaur Rahman, Bashir Ahmed, Zahoor Ibrahim, Dawood Malik, Aijaz Abid and Lal Muhammad.

Since most of them were the ones behind terror attacks in India, people in Pakistan naturally blame India for these killings.

Pakistani army and ISI will never admit this out of shame. They will never acknowledge Indian hand behind the killings of those whom they had given shelter. There is hardly any evidence of Indian hand in the killings till date.

Even if India got these terrorists killed, it is commendable that they were killed by their own brethren in Pakistan.

Even if India had no hand in these killings, one can only say, there are well-wishers in Pakistan who are killing our enemies.

So long as such killings occur, the role of a Dhurandhar is surely going to be mentioned.

In Mumbai drains: auto, cooler, bed…

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) staff, while carrying out pre-monsoon drain cleaning drive, found an autorickshaw, sofas, chairs, beds, mattress, cooler, fridge, washing machine, almirahs and broken drums.

BMC officials have appealed to people not to throw such big junks in drains as it will cause floods during monsoon.

The problem is not only confined to Mumbai. In other metros, people throw huge quantities of junk in drains causing them to clog, when monsoon rains lash the cities.

People do not bother to go to the garbage dumps and prefer to throw such junks in the drainage system.

The Lt. Governor of Delhi once told me, people in the capital fill up bags with debris, after construction work, and throw them in manholes at night to evade detection. For months, these bags containing ‘malba’ (construction debris) lie inside manholes causing drains to choke.

My appeal to all is, if you really love your city, be careful while disposing debris and refrain from throwing them inside drains.

If these junks are thrown at garbage dumps, it will be easier to keep the drains flowing and crores of rupees spent on cleaning up drains can be saved.

Bengal : Abhishek in trouble

More than 88 per cent voters took part in the repolling in Falta constituency of West Bengal on Thursday, but Trinamool Congress candidate Jahangir Khan was nowhere to be seen.

Two days ago, Jahangir Khan announced that he was withdrawing from the contest, but EVMs carried his name as TMC candidate.

For the BJP, Falta seat is vital because it is part of Diamond Harbour Lok Sabha constituency, from where Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek won the election in 2024 with a huge margin of more than 11 lakh votes.

After the severe electoral drubbing in Bengal election this time, both Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek have left the party leaders to fend for themselves.

It was only a few weeks ago, Jahangir Khan was being projected as the ‘hero of Diamond Harbour model’ of Trinamool Congress. He was a close confidante of Abhishek Banerjee, who had gone to Falta to campaign for him.

The ground situation now : fear of Trinamool Congress among common people has vanished. Local citizens and party workers are coming out with tales of terror.

Both Abhishek and Jahangir Khan have disappeared from the scene. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is in full cry.

There are possibilities of TMC leaders and workers putting the entire blame on Abhishek. It may be difficult for the nephew to respond.

पाकिस्तान के कब्ज़े वाले कश्मीर की राजधानी मुज़फ्फराबाद में  बाइक पर सवार अज्ञात हमलावरों ने पुलवामा आतंकी हमले के मास्टरमाइंड हमज़ा बुरहान को गोलियों से भून दिया.

  ये ठीक ‘धुरंधर’ फिल्म के सीन की तरह था. हत्यारे भाग निकले.

  हमज़ा बुरहान ISI के पालतू आतंकी संगठन अल बदर का कमांडर था. नवंबर 2020 में पुलवामा में CRPF कैंप पर ग्रेनेड अटैक हमज़ा बुरहान ने ही करवाया था. बुरहान PoK में छुपा था.

    पाकिस्तान के लोगों को लग रहा है कि हमज़ा बुरहान को भारत के ‘धुरंधर’ निपटा कर चले गए. ऐसे में ‘धुरंधर’ से आतंकवादियों में बड़ी दहशत है. पाकिस्तान में इस तरह के कितने दहशतगर्द पहले निपटाए जा चुके हैं.

  हमलावरों का खौफ दहशतगर्दों में क्यों है, ये समझने के लिए कुछ आंकड़े बता देता हूं.

  पिछले कुछ सालों में लश्कर  और जैश  के एक दर्जन से ज्यादा कमांडर इसी तरह मारे जा चुके हैं. किसी को मस्जिद में गोली मारी गई, किसी को मदरसे में, कोई जेल में मरा मिला, कोई सड़क पर, लेकिन इनको किसने मारा, ये किसी को नहीं पता.

  इस साल जनवरी में लश्कर के चीफ हाफ़िज़ सईद के करीबी अब्दुल गफ्फार को गोली मारी गई.

  पिछले साल मई में लश्कर का आतंकवादी सैफ़ुल्लाह ख़ालिद  सिंध में मारा गया.

  मार्च 2025 में हमलावरों ने ISI के एजेंट मुफ़्ती शाह मीर को बलोचिस्तान में गोली मार दी थी. मुफ़्ती शाह मीर ने ही  भारत के पूर्व नौसेना ऑफ़िसर कुलभूषण जाधव का ईरान से अपहरण किया था.

  मार्च 2024 में पाकिस्तानी सेना के मेजर दानियल को पेशावर में हमलावरों ने मौत के घाट उतार दिया था. मेजर दानियल ने 2016 में बारामुला में सेना के काफ़िले पर हमले की साज़िश रची थी.

  दिसंबर 2023 में हाफ़िज़ सईद के क़रीबी अदनान अहमद को कराची में गोली मार दी गई. अदनान कश्मीर के पाम्पोर  में CRPF के काफिले पर हमले का आरोपी था.

  नवंबर 2023 में कराची में ही जैश के रहीमुल्लाह की हत्या हुई.  रहीमुल्लाह मसूद अज़हर का क़रीबी था.

  अक्टूबर 2023 में  जैश के  कमांडर शाहिद लतीफ़ को गोली मारी गई. शाहिद लतीफ़ 2016 में पठानकोट एयरफ़ोर्स बेस पर हमले का मास्टरमाइंड था.

  इनके अलावा पाकिस्तान में अबु क़ताल, अकरम ग़ाज़ी, ख्वाजा शाहिद, मौलाना ज़िया उर रहमान, बशीर अहमद, ज़हूर इब्राहिम, दाऊद मलिक, ऐजाज़ आबिद और लाल मुहम्मद जैसे और कई आतंकवादी इसी तरह निपटाए जा चुके हैं.

    जो दहशतगर्द मारे गए वे भारत के गुनहगार थे. हमारे मुल्क में आतंकवादी वारदात में शामिल थे. जाहिर है पाकिस्तान के लोग ये कहते हैं कि इन्हें इंडिया ने खत्म करवाया.

  पाकिस्तान की फौज और ISI तो शर्म के मारे कुछ नहीं बोलतीं. वो कैसे कहेंगी कि इंडिया ने हमारी सुरक्षा में रहने वालों को सरेआम उड़वा दिया. किसी के पास इस बात का सबूत नहीं है कि इसमें भारत का कोई हाथ है.

  अगर भारत ने करवाया तो अच्छा है, दुश्मनों को उन्हीं के लोगों के हाथ से मरवाया. अगर भारत ने नहीं करवाया तो और भी अच्छा है, पाकिस्तान में कोई शुभचिंतक बैठा है जिसने हमारे दुश्मनों का सफाया करवाया.

  जब तक ऐसी खबरें आती रहेंगी तब तक हमारे धुरंधर के नाम की चर्चा होती रहेगी.

मुंबई के नाले : ऑटो, कूलर, बेड कहाँ से आये?

  मुंबई के नालों की सफाई के वक्त बीएमसी स्टाफ को ऑटोरिक्शा, सोफे, कुर्सियां, बेड, गद्दे, कूलर, फ्रिज, वॉशिंग मशीन, अलमारियां और टूटे हुए ड्रम  मिले.

  BMC ने लोगों से अपील की कि इतनी बड़ी चीजें नालों में न फेंके, कुछ लोगों की गलती पूरे शहर के लिए मानसून के समय मुसीबत बन जाती है.

  ये समस्या सिर्फ मुंबई की नहीं है. बड़े शहरों में थोड़ा सा खर्चा बचाने के लिए घर का फालतू सामान फेंकने के लिए लोग दस कदम दूर भी नहीं जाना चाहते, पास के नाले में डाल देते हैं.

   दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल ने एक बार मुझे बताया था कि लोगों के घर में जब निर्माण होते हैं, तो मलबा बोरे में भरकर रात के अंधेरे में मेनहोल खोलकर उसमें डाल दिया जाता है. कई महीनों तक तो ये ही नहीं पता चला कि मेनहोल और नालियां चोक क्यों होती हैं?

    जब सफाई हुई तो पता चला कि ईंट पत्थर की वजह से पूरा का पूरा ड्रेनेज सिस्टम बर्बाद हो चुका था.

   इसलिए मैं कहता हूं अगर आपको अपने शहर से प्यार है तो फिर नालियों और ड्रेनेज सिस्टम को भी अपना मानना पड़ेगा. अगर टूटा सामान और कूड़ा निर्धारित जगह पर फेंका जाएगा तो नालों को साफ करना आसान होगा, शहर में गंदगी नहीं फैलेगी और सफाई पर खर्च होने वाले करोड़ों रुपए की बचत भी होगी.

बंगाल में अभिषेक परेशान

      पश्चिम बंगाल की फलता विधानसभा सीट के लिए जबरदस्त वोटिंग हुई. 88 परसेंट से ज्यादा लोग वोट डालने पहुंचे लेकिन तृणमूल कांग्रेस के उम्मीदवार जहांगीर खान कहीं नहीं दिखाई दिए.

  जहांगीर खान ने दो दिन पहले चुनाव मैदान से हटने का ऐलान कर दिया था लेकिन EVM पर उनका नाम था.

   बीजेपी के लिए फलता सीट महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि ये सीट डायमंड हार्बर लोकसभा क्षेत्र में आती है, जहां से ममता बनर्जी के भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी सांसद हैं. 2024 में वह 11 लाख से ज्यादा वोटों से जीते थे.

    बंगाल में करारी हार के बाद ममता और अभिषेक बनर्जी ने पार्टी नेताओं को उनके हाल पर छोड़ दिया है. कुछ हफ्ते पहले तक जहांगीर खान तृणमूल कांग्रेस के डायमंड हार्बर मॉडल के हीरो थे, अभिषेक बनर्जी के सबसे करीबी थे.

  अभिषेक फलता में जहांगीर खान के लिए प्रचार करने भी गए थे.  इस समय हकीकत ये है कि बंगाल में अब तृणमूल कांग्रेस का खौफ खत्म हो गया है, इसलिए अब लोग कच्चा चिट्ठा खोलने सामने आ रहे हैं.

  फलता में जहांगीर खान ने मैदान छोड़कर भले ही सरेंडर कर दिया हो लेकिन उनकी मुश्किलें खत्म नहीं होंगी. जहांगीर खान की संपत्ति की जांच होगी.

  बीजेपी का आरोप है कि जहांगीर खान ने 200 करोड़ रु. से ज्यादा की अवैध संपत्ति जमा की है. बीजेपी के लोकल नेता विधान पारूई ने कोर्ट में अर्जी दायर की है, ED को सारे दस्तावेज भेजे हैं और पुलिस में शिकायत दर्ज करवाई है.

    सारा मामला डायमंड हार्बर के हीरो अभिषेक बनर्जी के अहंकार से जुड़ा है.  उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोग परेशान थे. जिस तरह से अभिषेक ने अमित शाह को 4 मई को कोलकाता  आने की चुनौती दी थी, वह उनके अति आत्मविश्वास का नतीजा था.

  अभिषेक के चहेते नेता भी इसी तरह की भाषा बोलते थे. उन्हें यकीन था कि ममता फिर जीतेंगी और उनकी तैयारी थी कि BJP के लोगों को मारपीट कर, डराकर भगा दिया जाएगा, लेकिन इस बार बाजी पलट गई.

  अब अभिषेक और जहांगीर खान गायब हैं, शुभेंदु अधिकारी शेर की तरह दहाड़ रहे हैं. लगता है कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस में सारा  ठीकरा अभिषेक  के सिर पर फोड़ा जाएगा और उनके लिए जवाब देना मुश्किल हो जाएगा.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian PM Giorgia Meloni took social media by storm after their ‘Melodi’ video went viral, crossing a staggering 175 million views. In Gen Z parlance, the 11-second video ‘broke the internet’, but in India, the leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Modi for this act.

Modi went off-beat from routine diplomatic niceties, and posed with Meloni in a selfie, gifting her a packet of Parle’s Melody toffees.

The video was posted on Instagram and X and within minutes, it went viral.

Modi is tech-savvy. He understands the nuances of digital trends and social media. He tries to remain connected with the youth as an unconventional leader. It was Modi’s turn to promote the hashtag ‘Melodi’.

In his speech, Modi praised his Italian counterpart for her “exceptional” leadership and thanked her for her role in getting the India-EU free trade deal signed.

Meloni also praised Modi, saying she learned how to toil from him.

Meloni said, “There is an Indian word which states that very well, which is ‘parishram’. ‘Parishram’, which means hard work, constant commitment. A word which I know is very often used in India, and it is often used in a very popular way of saying: ‘Parishram hi safalta ki kunji hai’ (hard work is the key to success)”.

As prime ministers, Modi and Meloni have met seven times since the latter became PM of Italy in 2022.

In India, Rahul Gandhi took umbrage over this reel. Rahul’s maternal home happens to be near Vicenza in Italy. At a rally in Amethi, Rahul said, “at a time when the economy is facing grim challenges, there is inflation, Modi is busy offering toffees to Meloni in Italy.”

At the Rae Bareli rally, Rahul said, “Modi is telling people to save fuel, avoid foreign trips, but he is himself travelling abroad.”

He cautioned people to be cautious about huge inflation which is in the offing and stop relying on Modi, who, he said, “will go on TV, shed tears and say, he has not committed mistakes”.

At his rallies, Rahul repeated his charges about Modi “selling” the country to Adani and Ambani, and went to the extent of naming Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as “gaddars” (traitors).

UP CM Yogi Adityanath reacted saying, this is indicative of the negative politics of Congress and hate towards Modi. He demanded Rahul must apologize.

Rahul seems to be annoyed over Modi gifting a packet of Indian toffees to the Italian PM. He is doubly annoyed because he has to toil in the hot Indian summer addressing rallies and Modi posting his selfies with Meloni on the internet.

Naturally, Rahul will never like Modi hogging the social media limelight in his maternal home, Italy. It was left to BJP leaders to rub salt to his wounds by pointing out the achievements of Modi government.

Bengal : Trouble mounts for Abhishek

West Bengal’s CM Suvendu Adhikari has done in 10 days what Mamata Banerjee could not do in 12 years. He handed over 27 km of border land to BSF near Chicken’s Neck adjoining Siliguri.

Home Minister Amit Shah had written seven letters to Mamata Banerjee for land required for fencing the Indo-Bangladesh border, but nothing was done.

BJP’s second electoral promise was to take action against those who looted public exchequer during TMC rule. The action has already begun from the top. Kolkata Municipal Corporation has  sent notices to Mamata’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee for his properties, and bulldozers are ready for demolishing unauthorized constructions.

These 24 properties include two personal bungalows and buildings that house Abhishek’s companies.
On Thursday, Calcutta High Court ordered state police not to take any action against Abhishek Banerjee in the case relating to objectionable comments made by him against Amit Shah during the election campaign. The High Court also directed Abhishek Banerjee not to leave India without prior permission from the court. 

Trinamool Congress workers will now stage protests throughout Bengal against demolitions.

NEET : Entire system needs overhaul

Maharashtra government will be using bulldozers to demolish properties held by main accused in NEET paper leak, Shivraj Motegaonkar, the owner of RCC coaching classes, in Pune, Beed and Nashik. CBI officials suspect, his family members could be involved in this case.

Twenty-five years ago, Motegaonkar used to stay in a rented single room, rode a bicycle and earned money through tuition. He set up a coaching centre and today, he has coaching centres in eight districts with more than 40,000 students. 

Motegaonkar was getting a medical college built and his properties are presently valued at more than Rs 1,500 crore. Retired chemistry lecturer P. V. Kulkarni, another accused in the case, built a swanky home in Beed district, and this too, has been earmarked for demolition.

CBI is probing the entire paper leak mafia network. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, at a meeting with senior security agencies, directed them to keep a close watch on social media about the June 21 NEET re-exam.

The NEET paper leak case raises several questions. In this era of digital encryption, where blockchain-secured communication is possible, why can’t we ensure that question papers are secure?

Are our cyber security protocols so weak that coaching class owners can easily break them?

The fact is, coaching class owners have a strong network which can decode the entire examination system. They know the loopholes. Coaching centre owners know who is saleable.

In such a scenario, getting question papers leaked is an easy task. Their men have dug themselves deep inside the system. There are so many loopholes in the system that it might be difficult to fix. The entire system needs a complete overhaul.

राहुल गांधी के ननिहाल इटली से आई तस्वीरों ने इंटरनेट पर धूम मचा दी. एक वीडियो पूरी दुनिया में जबरदस्त ट्रेंड करने लगा. वीडियो देखकर दुनिया भर के नेताओं के चेहरे पर जहां मुस्कान आ गई वहीं राहुल गांधी इस वीडियो को देखकर गुस्से से लाल-पीले हो गए.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कूटनीति का दूसरा रूप दिखाया. कूटनीति के परंपरागत ढर्रे से हट कर इसे चॉकलेटी बना दिया. मोदी ने इटली की पीएम ज्यॉर्जिया मेलोनी को मेलोडी टॉफी का पैकेट गिफ्ट किया और इसका वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर Melodi के कैप्शन के साथ पोस्ट कर दिया.
कूटनीति की बात तो पीछे छूट गई, पूरी दुनिया में मोदी और मेलोनी की दोस्ती और मोदी के melody गिफ्ट की चर्चा शुरू हो गई.
प्रधानमंत्री ने इंस्टाग्राम पर वीडियो पोस्ट किया, इस 11 सेकेंड के वीडियो ने सोशल मीडिया पर views और likes के पुराने रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिए.
इंस्टाग्राम पर इस वीडियो को 13 करोड़ से ज़्यादा views और एक करोड़ से ज़्यादा likes मिल चुके हैं.
मोदी और मेलोनी की आपसी अंडरस्टैंडिंग और दोस्ती को देखते हुए सोशल मीडिया पर दोनों के नाम को मिलाकर Melodi लिखा जाता है. Melodi हैशटैग कई बार सोशल मीडिया पर टॉप ट्रेंड कर चुका है.
चूंकि पीएम मोदी tech savvy हैं, सोशल मीडिया और डिजिटल ट्रेंड्स को बख़ूबी समझते हैं, युवाओं से हमेशा कनेक्टेड रहते हैं और unconventional leader हैं, इसलिए इस बार मोदी ने Melodi हैशटैग को ख़ुद आगे बढ़ा दिया.
दोनों प्रधानमंत्रियों का ये वीडियो दिलचस्प है और अनौपचारिक कूटनीति की बेहतरीन मिसाल भी. मोदी ने इटली की पीएम मेलोनी के नेतृत्व को exceptional बताया. मेलोनी को भारत और यूरोपियन यूनियन के बीच ट्रेड डील कराने में मदद के लिए थैंक-यू कहा.
जवाब में मेलोनी ने मोदी की तारीफ़ की. मेलोनी ने कहा कि उन्होंने मोदी से मेहनत करना सीखा है, मेहनत से ही सफलता मिलती है.
मेलोनी 2022 में इटली की प्रधानमंत्री बनीं. उसके बाद से मोदी और मेलोनी की सात बार मुलाकात हो चुकी है. जब जब दोनों नेता मिलते हैं तो सोशल मीडिया पर छा जाते हैं. इस बार ऐसा ही हुआ.
मोदी और मेलोनी का वीडियो राहुल गांधी को बिल्कुल अच्छा नहीं लगा. अमेठी में राहुल ने कहा, देश में हाहाकार मचा है, महंगाई बढ़ रही है और वहां इटली में मोदी मेलोनी को टॉफी खिला रहे हैं.
रायबरेली में राहुल ने मोदी को जमकर कोसा. राहुल ने लोगों से कहा कि मोदी देश के लोगों से कहते हैं, ईंधन बचाओ, विदेश यात्रा पर मत जाओ, लेकिन खुद विदेश में घूम रहे हैं.
राहुल ने लोगों से कहा, संभल जाओ, भयंकर महंगाई आने वाली है, मोदी के भरोसे मत रहो क्योंकि जब जनता परेशान होगी तो मोदी टीवी पर आएंगे, रोएंगे और कहेंगे, उनकी इसमें कोई ग़लती नहीं.
राहुल गांधी ने अपनी रैलियों में वही पुराने आरोप लगाए कि मोदी ने देश को बेच दिया, सारा पैसा अडानी अंबानी को दे दिया, इसके बाद राहुल गांधी बहक गए…..उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री और गृहमंत्री को गद्दार कह दिया.
राहुल के इस बयान की हर किसी ने निंदा की. योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री और गृह मंत्री के बारे में राहुल का बयान कांग्रेस की नकारात्मक राजनीति और मोदी के प्रति नफरत का सबूत है. राहुल को देश से माफ़ी मांगनी चाहिए.
मोदी ने मेलोनी को टॉफी क्या दे दी, राहुल का पारा आसमान पर चढ़ गया. वो यहां इतनी गर्मी में पड़े हैं और वहां मोदी मेलोनी के साथ अपनी तस्वीरें पोस्ट कर रहे हैं.
ज़ाहिर है मेलोनी के साथ मोदी की तस्वीरें देखकर राहुल को मिर्ची लगी. आखिरकार इटली से उनका पुराना नाता है.
नानी के घर में मोदी का ऐसा स्वागत देखकर उनको गुस्सा तो आएगा ही. मोदी और मेलोनी को साथ देखकर राहुल इतने बेचैन हुए कि उन्होंने मोदी को गद्दार तक कह दिया. बीजेपी वाले इतने निर्मम हैं कि राहुल का दर्द समझने के बजाए उनको मोदी के काम गिनाने लगे.

बंगाल में फंसे अभिषेक

बंगाल में सीएम शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने मुख्यमंत्री बनने के 10 दिन के भीतर ही वो काम कर दिया, जो ममता बनर्जी ने 12 साल से लटका रखा था. भारत-बांग्लादेश सीमा पर बाड़ लगाने के लिए सिलीगुड़ी के पास चिकेन नेक में 27 किलोमीटर ज़मीन BSF को सौंप दी.
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने बांग्लादेश सीमा के आसपास की जमीन BSF के हवाले करने के लिए ममता बनर्जी को सात खत लिखे थे, लेकिन ममता बनर्जी ने ज़मीन नहीं दी.
बीजेपी का दूसरा चुनावी वादा था बंगाल को लूटने वालों के खिलाफ एक्शन का. इसकी भी शुरूआत हो गई. शुरूआत भी ऊपर से हुई. ममता बनर्जी के भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी की प्रॉपर्टी पर बुलडोजर चलाने की तैयारी है.
कोलकाता नगर निगम के नोटिस अभिषेक बनर्जी की प्रॉपर्टीज़ पर चिपक गए हैं. अभिषेक बनर्जी के दो बंगलों, उनकी कंपनी के दफ्तरों समेत कुल 24 प्रॉपर्टी जांच के दायरे में हैं.
गुरुवार को कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट ने राज्य पुलिस को आदेश दिया कि वह अभिषेक बनर्जी के खिलाफ उस मामले में कोई कार्रवाई न करे जिसमें अभिषेक ने चुनाव प्रचार के समय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के खिलाफ आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणियां की थीं.
हाई कोर्ट ने अभिषेक बनर्जी को भी आदेश दिया कि वह कोर्ट की अनुमति के बिना विदेश यात्रा पर न जाएं.
तृणमूल कांग्रेस बुलडोजर एक्शन के खिलाफ पूरे बंगाल में प्रोटेस्ट करने वाली है. बंगाल में तृणमूल कांग्रेस और बीजेपी के बीच टकराव की खबरें अब आती रहेंगी.

NEET : पूरे सिस्टम को बदलना ज़रूरी

नीट का पेपर लीक कराने वालों की प्रॉपर्टी पर महाराष्ट्र में बुलडोजर एक्शन की तैयारी हो रही है. RCC कोचिंग क्लासेज के मालिक शिवराज मोटेगांवकर की पुणे, बीड और नासिक में जो प्रॉपर्टी हैं, उनको लेकर नोटिस भेजा गया है.
CBI को शक है कि शिवराज मोटेगांवकर का पूरा परिवार पेपर लीक के धंधे से जुड़ा है.
25 साल पहले मोटेंगावकर किराए के एक कमरे में रहता था, साइकिल पर चलता था, ट्यूशन पढ़ाकर गुजारा करता था, इसके बाद उसने कोचिंग सेंटर खोला और आज महाराष्ट्र के आठ जिलों में उसके कोचिंग सेंटर हैं जहां 40 हजार से ज्यादा छात्र पढ़ते हैं.
मोटेंगावकर लातूर में एक मेडिकल कॉलेज भी बना रहा है. शिवराज मोटेंगावकर की कुल संपत्ति 1500 करोड़ रु. से ज्यादा बताई जा रही है.
पेपर लीक करने वाले कैमिस्ट्री के रिटायर्ड प्रोफेसर पी वी कुलकर्णी ने बीड जिले में आलीशान घर बनाया, उस पर बुलडोजर चल सकता है.
CBI पेपर लीक माफिया के पूरे नेटवर्क को खंगाल रही है. शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेन्द्र प्रधान का फोकस इस बात पर है कि किसी कीमत पर 21 जून को होने वाला नीट के रीएक्जाम का पेपर लीक न हो.
धर्मेन्द्र प्रधान ने केंद्रीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियों का साथ मीटिंग की और अफसरों से सोशल मीडिया पर नज़र रखने को कहा.
NEET पेपर लीक ने कई बड़े सवाल उठाए हैं. digital encryption के जमाने में जहां blockchain-secured communication संभव है, वहां हम एक परीक्षा के पेपर को secure नहीं कर सकते.
क्या cyber security के protocol इतने कमजोर हैं कि coaching classes चलाने वाले उन्हें आराम से तोड़ सकते हैं?
सच तो ये है कि कोचिंग कालेजों का नेटवर्क इतना मजबूत है कि उसने पूरी परीक्षा प्रणाली को decode कर लिया है, उसे सारी खामियां पता हैं, कोचिंग सेंटर चलाने वालों को ये भी पता है कि कौन बिकाऊ है.
इसलिए पेपर लीक कराना अब उनके लिए बाएं हाथ का खेल है. इन लोगों ने मेडिकल शिक्षा की eligibility को मजाक बना दिया है.
इसलिए सिर्फ इनका पकड़ा जाना काफी नहीं है. न जाने ऐसे कितने लोग सिस्टम में घुसे हुए बैठे हैं. परीक्षा के इस तरीके में इतने छेद हैं कि उनको भर पाना मुश्किल होगा. इसलिए इस पूरे के पूरे सिस्टम को बुनियाद से बदलने की ज़रूरत है.
