7.8 pc GDP growth: How did Modi achieve this?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the people for achieving 7.8 per cent first quarter GDP growth rate. At the same time, he held up a mirror to the opposition which had been making dire prediction about an “economic tsunami”. Modi said, those who want to push India into the abyss of despair, have failed.
The world’s two top economies – China (4.3 pc GDP) and the US (2.1 pc GDP) are struggling. In India, the service sector recorded 10 pc growth while the manufacturing sector registered 9.2 pc growth in the first quarter. By all indications, this is a good sign for the economy. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge described the GDP figures as a “PR stunt”. He questioned why unemployment figures have crossed 40 per cent if the economy is in good condition.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said, this is a case of calling the grapes sour. One of my friends sent me a video of Rahul Gandhi where he was telling reporters “The economy is dead” repeatedly. In that video, Rahul was so enamored of his comment that he asked the reporter, ‘why do you look surprised’? Modi, in his video posted from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, lashed out at the negative outlook behind the ‘Jhooth Ki Goonj’ (echo of lies).
It is a fact that the Gulf war has raised prices of fuel and natural gas, disturbed supply chains, and impacted the economic progress of almost all countries. We, in India, could have faced a serious crisis. Modi may have worked hard, and we registered the world’s best first quarter GDP numbers. India is now the world’s faster rising economy. This was possible because Modi’s government shifted focus on manufacturing to meet the requirements of the world, promoted promotion linked incentives, signed free trade agreements with 40 countries, and provided support to MSMEs.
The effects are there for all to see. This is bolstered by the fact that this year’s August GST collection was Rs 2 lakh crore, compared to Rs 1.74 lakh crore collected in August last year. Semiconductor chips: Earlier India was importer, now it exports
IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw explained how India’s GDP growth rate is rising. He said, there is a big demand for semiconductor chips around the world. India had been importing 99 pc of its semiconductor chip requirements, but now it has started exporting.
This is a big change. The world market for semiconductor chips is in the region of more than Rs 40 lakh crore. Modi government launched Semicon 2.0 and Rs 1,27,000 crore will be invested on this. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, India will set up the entire supply chain for semiconductor chips. Earlier, the aim was to train 85,000 engineers within 10 years, but this target has already been achieved within four years.
Vaishnaw explained how our students have prepared designs for semiconductor chips to be made in India. The minister has asked for comments from students and he has promised to upload an explainer after studying those comments. This is a nice way of involved skilled young talents in making chips and recognize their intelligence. One must understand why it is necessary to involve young minds in the making of semiconductor chips.
Earlier, India used to import chips from China, US, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea. We imported Rs 15 lakh crore worth chips between 2017 and 2025. Ashwini Vaishnaw prepared a solid plan, production has already started and the aim is to make India self-reliant in semiconductor chips. Under Semicon India, 12 semiconductor projects have been cleared in six states. Three semiconductor plants have already started working in Sanand, Gujarat. India has begun exporting semiconductor chips to Malaysia.

Chief Justice Surya Kant extended his best wishes. With this, CJP’s confrontation with the Centre has come to an end. Both the ministers, J. P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh, have fulfilled their promises given to the student leaders. CJP decided to call off its September 5 march in Delhi.

GDP की दर 7.8 : ये मोदी ने कैसे हासिल किया?
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 7.8 प्रतिशत तिमाही GDP वृद्धि दर हासिल करने पर देशवासियों को बधाई दी और विपक्ष के नेताओं को आईना भी दिखाया. मोदी ने कहा, जो लोग देश को निराशा के गर्त में धकेलना चाहते हैं, उनकी सारी कोशिशें बेकार हो गईं. दुनिया की दो बड़ी आर्थिक शक्तियां हैं, चीन और अमेरिका. चीन की GDP वृद्धि दर 4.3 फीसदी और अमेरिका की सिर्फ 2.1 प्रतिशत है.
GDP में देश के सर्विस सेक्टर (10) और मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर (9.2 प्रतिशत) का योगदान सबसे ज्यादा है. इसका मतलब है देश में उत्पादन और खपत दोनों बढ़ रहे हैं. ये किसी भी देश की अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए शुभ संकेत है. कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खर्गे ने GDP आंकड़ों को सरकार का पब्लिसिटी स्टंट करार दिया. खर्गे ने कहा, अगर अर्थव्यवस्था की हालत इतनी अच्छी है तो फिर बेरोजगारी की दर 40 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा कैसे पहुंच गई.
वाणिज्य मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कहा कि ये अंगूर खट्टे हैं जैसी स्थिति है. आज किसी दोस्त ने मुझे राहुल गांधी का वो वीडियो भेजा, जिसमें वो रिपोर्टर्स से बार बार कह रहे हैं कि ‘Indian Economy Is Dead’. राहुल अपने बयान पर इतने फिदा थे कि बार-बार रिपोर्टर्स से पूछ रहे थे कि आप इतने हैरान क्यों हैं ? मोदी ने उसी ‘झूठ की गूंज’ और नकारात्मक रुख का जिक्र किया. ये तो बड़ा स्पष्ट था कि खाड़ी युद्ध ने तेल की कीमतें बढ़ा दीं, सप्लाई चेन को डिस्टर्ब कर दिया, दुनिया में हर मुल्क की आर्थिक वृद्धि पर असर पड़ा. तो हमारे यहां भी खराब असर पड़ सकता था. लेकिन मोदी ने कुछ तो किया होगा कि इस तिमाही में GDP दर दुनिया में सबसे बेहतर रही भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था दुनिया में सबसे तेजी से बढ़ रही है. इसकी वजह है कि भारत ने मैन्यूफैक्चरिंग के फोकस को दुनिया की जरूरतों के हिसाब से शिफ्ट किया, production linked incentive दिए, 40 देशों के साथ free trade agreements हुए, MSME को support किया. इन सबका असर हुआ.
इसका एक सबूत ये भी है कि पिछले साल अगस्त में GST वसूली 1.74 लाख करोड़ रुपए थी. इस बार अगस्त में ये बढ़ कर 2 लाख करोड़ रुपए तक पहुंच गयी. अब कोई इन आंकड़ों को नकारना चाहे, इन्हें PR कहे, तो ये नकारात्मक सोच के अलावा और क्या हो सकता है ? अगर दुनिया में युद्ध का संकट न होता, अगर Covid ने दो साल बर्बाद न किए होते, तो सोचिए भारत का आर्थिक विकास कहां जा पहुंचता? मोदी ने इस विकास का श्रेय भारत के लोगों की मेहनत और कुशलता को दिया है, पर ये नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि एक मजबूत नेता और स्थिर सरकार के बिना ये संभव नहीं था.
सेमीकंडक्टर चिप्स : पहले भारत आयात करता था, अब निर्यात शुरू
जीडीपी ग्रोथ रेट कैसे बढ़ा, इस सवाल का जवाब दिया IT मिनिस्टर अश्विनी वैष्णव ने. कहा, कि इस वक्त दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा मांग है सेमीकंडक्टर चिप की. पिछले कुछ सालों तक भारत 99 परसेंट सेमीकंडक्टर चिप का आयात करता था लेकिन अब भारत निर्यातक हो गया है. ये बहुत बड़ा बदलाव है. इस वक्त दुनिया भर में सेमीकंडक्टर चिप का बाजार चालीस लाख करोड़ रु. से ज्यादा का है. सरकार ने सेमीकॉन 2.0 मिशन लॉन्च किया है, इस पर 1 लाख 27 हजार करोड़ रुपये खर्च करेगी.
अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि भारत सेमीकंडक्टर चिप की पूरी सप्लाई चेन खड़ी करेगा. पहले तय था, दस साल में 85 हजार इंजीनियर तैयार होंगे, लेकिन देश ने ये लक्ष्य चार साल में ही हासिल कर लिया. सेमीकंडक्टर किस चिड़िया का नाम है, ये अश्विनी वैष्णव ने एक शिक्षक की तरह समझाया. बताया, chip का इस्तेमाल कहां कहां होता है, इसे कैसे बनाया जाता है और देश भर में हमारे छात्रों ने chips के कैसे कैसे designs बनाए हैं. मुझे अश्विनी वैष्णव की सबसे अच्छी बात ये लगी कि जो छात्र सेमीकंडक्टर में दिलचस्पी रखते थे, उनसे उन्होंने कमेंट्स मांगे और फिर ये कहा कि उन कमेंट्स को स्टडी करके उसका explainer वह upload करेंगे. चिप्स बनाने में देश के कुशल युवाओं को involve करने और उनकी intelligence को recognize करने का ये अच्छा तरीका है. सेमीकंडक्टर में देश के नौजवानों को involve करना जरूरी क्यों है, ये भी समझने की जरूरत है.
अब तक भारत चीन, अमेरिका, ताइवान, सिंगापुर और दक्षिण कोरिया से चिप्स का आयात करता है. 2017 से 2025 के बीच हमने 15 लाख करोड़ रु. के चिप्स का आयात किया. अश्विनी वैष्णव ने सॉलिड प्लान बनाया, उत्पादन शुरू हो चुका है. अगले 10 साल में भारत न केवल आत्मनिर्भर होगा बल्कि सेमीकंडक्टर चिप्स का निर्यात भी करेगा. सेमीकॉन इंडिया के तहत 6 राज्यों में 12 सेमीकंडक्टर परियोजनाओं को मंजूरी मिली है. तीन सेमीकंडक्टर प्लांट में उत्पादन शुरू हो चुका है. तीनों प्लांट गुजरात के साणंद में हैं. भारत मलेशिया को सेमीकंडक्टर चिप का निर्यात शुरू कर चुका है.
CJP प्रोटेस्ट : Happy ending, पर पिक्चर अभी बाकी है
सरकार के अनुरोध पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने विशेष अधिकारों का इस्तेमाल करके शान्तिपूर्ण प्रोटेस्ट करने वाले सभी युवा प्रदर्शनकारियों के खिलाफ दर्ज की गई FIR रद्द करने का आदेश दे दिया. दूसरी तरफ कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट को बताया कि उन्होंने 5 सितंबर को दिल्ली के इंडिया गेट से होने वाले मार्च को वापस लेने का फैसला किया है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने CJP के इस रुख की तारीफ की.
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने ये भी साफ किया कि प्रदर्शन में जो 2800 से ज्यादा आपराधिक इतिहास वाले लोग शामिल थे वो इस दायरे में नहीं आएंगे. उनके खिलाफ दिल्ली पुलिस अलग से FIR दर्ज करेगी. NEET परीक्षा रद्द होने के बाद जिन छात्रों ने आत्महत्या की थी, उनके परिवारों को मुआवजा देने के लिए सरकार ने कोर्ट में कहा कि 90 दिन में इन सभी परिवारों के लिए एक नीति बनाएगी. कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी जिन Chief Justice Of India के कमेंट से पैदा हुई थी, कल सौरव दास ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के उन्हीं Chief Justice को हाथ जोड़कर thank you कहा और Justice सूर्यकांत ने भी उन्हें शुभकामनाएं दीं.
CJP का सरकार से चला आ रहा टकराव भी खत्म हुआ. दोनों केंद्रीय मंत्री जे पी नड्डा और जितेंद्र सिंह ने जो वादे किए थे, वो पूरे कर दिए. CJP ने भी पांच सितंबर को अपने मार्च की कॉल वापस ले ली. पुराने जमाने की हिंदी फिल्मों की तरह आखिर में यही हुआ कि ‘जो लड़ाई तुम ने शुरू की थी, वो हमने खत्म कर दी’. अब हम साथ-साथ हैं. Both wars started for no reason and there is no sign of them ending in either place. Putin and Zelenskyy are not ready to sit face to face for initiating talks.
Trump is not ready to back out without teaching a lesson to Iran. In such a situation, India can play its neutral role. India has always given the message of peace to the world, but in today’s world, fewer people are willing to listen to talk of peace. Chinese President Xi Jinping is going to visit India after two weeks to attend BRICS summit. If Modi can influence Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping even a little, the entire world can get relief because every country is fed up with war and everyone wants to live in peace.
7.8 pc GDP growth : Where is Rahul’s “economic tsunami” prediction?
There is good news on the economic front. GDP growth rate for the first quarter of this financial year is 7.8 per cent. This is more than RBI’s estimate. With this growth rate, India emerged as the fastest growing economy in the world.
Many countries are surprised over India’s economic growth rate despite global challenges. India’s growth rate in finance, real estate, IT and professional services sectors has been more than 12 per cent. Normally, prices of petrol and diesel impact economic activity and inflation rise. But neither was industrial production impacted nor did inflation spiral out of control.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had made a dire prediction, “The Indian economy is dead. Modi killed it”. The 7.8 pc first quarter prediction is the right answer to his prediction. This growth came at a time when there were two wars going on. The whole world is passing through a phase of economic instability.
The Strait of Hormuz remains closed, supply of fuel has stopped from this strait and several supply chains have been badly impacted. The achievement of 7.8 pc GDP growth rate is a good achievement. Those in the opposition who were expecting political advantage from an economic crisis must be disappointed.
Why Congress, Owaisi criticized Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks?
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a Hindu Visha Bandhu event in Toronto, Canada, said, the world will awaken when Hindus will be awakened because Hindus have it in their DNA to take all religions with them.
Bhagwat said, Unity in Diversity has always been part of India’s DNA. There are many religions and thousands of languages in India. In spite of all this, there is unity. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi alleged, “Bhagwat is mouthing sweet words abroad just for show, whereas the reality is that hatred for Muslims is in the DNA of the RSS.”
Congress MP Imran Masood said, BJP leaders in India should follow what Bhagwat is saying abroad. He alleged, there are several BJP chief ministers who call Muslims as mullahs and often target this community. It is a fact that what Mohan Bhagwat said in New York and Toronto about Muslims has stunned those who had been opposing the RSS. Those who were expecting the RSS chief to speak about Hindu Rashtra and spew poison against Muslims, are now stunned.
When Bhagwat said in Toronto that Hindus always take other communities with them, when he said in New York that any Hindu who thinks that Muslims must not remain in India, is not a Hindu, Muslims leaders here were in two minds on how to counter Bhagwat. Now Owaisi is saying that Bhagwat is speaking nice words abroad but his organisation is spreading hatred in India. Owaisi forgets, it was Bhagwat who said in India that Hindus should stop looking for shiv lingams in each and every mosque.
Will “Save India, Save Shariah” movement help Muslims?
All India Muslim Personal Law Board has decided to launch a nationwide “Save India, Save Shariah” campaign from September 17 onwards. The Board has alleged that uniform civil code is being enforced in BJP-ruled states, Muslims are being forced to stand and sing Vande Mataram, but Shariah code does not allow this for Muslims.
Muslim outfits in every district will submit memorandums to the Governors. Board spokesperson Qasim Ilyas Rasool said, waqf properties are being forcibly taken over by the government, houses of several Muslims have been bulldozed. The AIMPLB has several complaints: against uniform civil code, against singing of Vande Mataram, against changes made in Waqf Act, but its leaders are expressing their opinion in different formats.
They have alleged that their mosques are being taken over, the freedom of nikaah (marriage) and namaaz are being taken away from Muslims. These leaders want to start a movement. Earlier, AIMPLB had launched a movement against Citizenship Amendment Act. At that time, they had the national tricolour flag and Constitution book in hand. This time, there is a difference. Muslim Personal Law Board has straightaway given the slogan ‘Save India, Save Shariah’.
The immediate after effect of this slogan will give BJP leaders a handle to beat the opposition. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party, Congress and likeminded parties, which claim to be secular, may not be supporting the Muslim Personal Law Board this time. These parties will be worried about facing a backlash from Hindu voters. The ultimate beneficiary will be Asaduddin Owaisi.
मोदी ने पुतिन से क्यों कहा, “अंतहीन युद्ध नहीं, युद्ध का अंत”?
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने रूस के राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन से साफ शब्दों में कहा कि युद्ध बहुत हो गया, अब शान्ति की तरफ बढ़िए, अंतहीन युद्धों की जगह युद्ध के अंत के बारे में सोचिए. मोदी ने कहा कि गांधी और बुद्ध का देश भारत यही चाहता है कि दुनिया में शान्ति हो, युद्ध में बर्बादी के सिवाय कुछ नहीं मिलता.
पुतिन से पहले मोदी की मुलाकात ईरान के राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेजेशकियान से भी हुई. इस मीटिंग में पेजेशकियान ने मोदी से कहा कि भारत चाहे तो मध्य पूर्व में शान्ति हो सकती है, भारत की बात अमेरिका सुनता है, यूरोपीय मुल्क भी सुनते हैं, इसलिए मोदी को ट्रंप से बात करनी चाहिए, ईरान पर हमले बंद करने को कहना चाहिए. मोदी ने राष्ट्रपति पुतिन से जो कहा, वो सारी दुनिया सुनना चाहती है. ये जंग अब खत्म होनी चाहिए. रूस और यूक्रेन की जंग ने पूरे यूरोप की अर्थव्यवस्था को तबाह कर दिया. ईरान और अमेरिका के युद्ध की आग से दुनिया का कोई देश नहीं बचा. इसने सब को जला दिया. दोनों जंग बेवजह शुरू हुई और दोनों जगह युद्ध खत्म होने का नाम नहीं ले रहा. पुतिन और जेलेंस्की आमने-सामने बैठ कर बात करने को भी तैयार नहीं हैं.
ट्रंप हर हालत में ईरान को सबक सिखाए बिना पीछे हटने को तैयार नहीं हैं. ऐसे में निरपेक्ष भारत एक बड़ी भूमिका अदा कर सकता है. भारत ने हमेशा से दुनिया को शांति का संदेश दिया है लेकिन आज की दुनिया में शांति की बात सुनने वाले कम हो गए हैं. दो हफ्ते बाद चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग भारत आएंगे. अगर मोदी ट्रंप, पुतिन और शी जिनपिंग को थोड़ा भी प्रभावित कर पाएं तो पूरी दुनिया को राहत मिलेगी क्योंकि युद्ध से सब परेशान हैं, सब शांति से जीना चाहते हैं.
7.8 परसेंट GDP : राहुल की “आर्थिक सुनामी” कहां गई?
देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को लेकर अच्छी खबर आई. इस वित्त वर्ष की पहली तिमाही में देश की सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (GDP) वृद्धि दर 7.8 प्रतिशत रही. GDP की ये ग्रोथ रेट रिजर्व बैंक के अनुमान से ज्यादा है. GDP की इस ग्रोथ रेट के साथ भारत दुनिया में सबसे तेजी से बढ़ने वाली अर्थव्यवस्था बन गया है.
तमाम वैश्विक चुनौतियों के बावजूद भारत की ये ग्रोथ रेट देखकर दुनिया के बड़े देश हैरान हैं. फाइनेंस, रियल एस्टेट, आईटी और प्रोफेशनल सर्विसेज सेक्टर में भारत की ग्रोथ रेट 12 परसेंट से ज्यादा रही. आम तौर पर पेट्रोल डीजल की कीमतों का असर आर्थिक गतिविधियों पर पड़ता है, महंगाई बढ़ती है, लेकिन न भारत के औद्योगिक वृद्धि दर पर असर पड़ा और न महंगाई काबू से बाहर हुई. कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी तो कह रहे थे, “The Indian economy is dead. Modi killed it”. अब पहली तिमाही में GDP की 7.8% वृद्धि दर इस आलोचना का करारा जवाब है.
ये वृद्धि ऐसे वक्त पर हुई है जब दो बड़े युद्धों से पूरी दुनिया परेशान है,पूरी दुनिया आर्थिक अस्थिरता के दौर से गुजर रही है, Hormuz बंद है, तेल की सप्लाई की समस्या है, Supply chain अस्तव्यस्त हुई है. ऐसी परिस्थितियों में अगर GDP growth की रफ्तार 7.8% है तो ये बड़ी उपलब्धि है. जो लोग ये आस लगाए बैठे थे कि भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था की बुरी हालत होगी और उन्हें इसका राजनीतिक फायदा मिलेगा, उन लोगों को काफी निराशा हुई होगी.
भागवत की बातें कांग्रेस, ओवैसी को पसंद क्यों नहीं आईं?
राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत ने टोरंटो, कनाडा में आयोजित “हिंदू विश्व-बंधु” सम्मेलन में कहा कि हिंदू जागेगा तो दुनिया जागेगी, क्योंकि हिंदू सबको साथ लेकर चलता है, सबको अपना परिवार मानता है. संघ प्रमुख ने कहा कि अनेकता में एकता भारत के DNA में है, भारत में बहुत से धर्मों के लोग रहते हैं, हजारों भाषाएं बोलने वाले हैं, इतनी विविधताओं के बाद भी सब एक हैं. मोहन भागवत की ये बात विरोधी दलों के नेताओं को बिल्कुल पसंद नहीं आई.
असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने कहा कि मोहन भागवत विदेश में दिखावे के लिए मीठी-मीठी बातें कर रहे हैं जबकि हकीकत ये है कि मुसलमानों से नफरत RSS के DNA में है. कांग्रेस के सांसद इमरान मसूद ने कहा कि मोहन भागवत जो बातें विदेश में जाकर कह रहे हैं, वो बातें उन्हें बीजेपी के नेताओं को समझानी चाहिए, क्योंकि बीजेपी के कई मुख्यमंत्री मुसलमानों को मुल्ला कहते हैं, उन्हें टारगेट करते हैं. मोहन भागवत ने न्यूयॉर्क और टोरंटो में मुसलमानों को लेकर जो कहा, उसने RSS के विरोधियों को चौंका दिया. जो लोग आरोप लगाते थे कि मोहन भागवत हिंदू राष्ट्र की ही बात करेंगे, मुसलमानों के खिलाफ ज़हर उगलेंगे, समाज को बांटने की बात करेंगे, उन्हें तो सांप सूंघ गया.
जब मोहन भागवत ने टोरंटो में कहा कि हिंदू सबको साथ लेकर चलता है, जब उन्होंने New York में कहा कि अगर कोई हिंदू ये सोचता है कि भारत में मुस्लिम नहीं होने चाहिए, तो वो हिंदू नहीं हो सकता, तो मुस्लिम नेताओं को समझ नहीं आ रहा कि मोहन भागवत को कैसे counter करें. अब ओवैसी कह रहे हैं कि मोहन भागवत विदेशों में अच्छी अच्छी बातें करते हैं और भारत में नफरत फैलाते हैं. ओवैसी भूल गए कि मोहन भागवत ने भारत में ही कहा था कि हिंदुओं को हर मस्जिद में शिवलिंग नहीं ढूंढना चाहिए.
क्या Save India, Save Shariah आंदोलन मुसलमानों के हित में है?
ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड ने 17 सितंबर से पूरे देश में “save इंडिया, save शरिया” कैंपेन चलाने का ऐलान किया है. बोर्ड का कहना है कि बीजेपी शासित राज्यों में यूनीफॉर्म सिविल कोड लागू किया जा रहा है, मुसलमानों को वंदे मातरम् गाने के लिए मजबूर किया जा रहा है, जबकि शरियत इसकी इजाजत नहीं देती.
मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड की ढेर सारी शिकायतें हैं. वह Uniform Civil Code के खिलाफ हैं, वो वंदे मातरम् नहीं गाना चाहते, वक्फ कानून में बदलाव नहीं चाहते, लेकिन इन शिकायतों का बयान अलग-अलग तरीके से करते हैं. कहते हैं कि हमसे हमारी मस्जिदें छीनी जा रही हैं, सरकार मुसलमानों से निकाह और नमाज की आजादी छीनना चाहती है, इसीलिए इन सवालों पर आंदोलन खड़ा करने की कोशिश है. पहले भी CAA के नाम पर आंदोलन के दौरान इसी तरह की बातें कही गई थीं. तब संविधान और तिरंगा हाथ में था.
इस बार मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड ने सीधे सीधे save India, save Shariah का नारा दिया है. इस आंदोलन का एक असर तो ये होगा कि बीजेपी को अच्छा खासा मसाला मिल जाएगा. दूसरी तरफ समाजवादी पार्टी और कांग्रेस जैसी जो पार्टियां खुद को सेक्युलर कहती हैं, उनके नेता खुलकर मुस्लिम पर्सनल लॉ बोर्ड का समर्थन नहीं कर पाएंगे. उन्हें हिन्दू वोटरों की नाराजगी की फिक्र होगी. पर असदुद्दीन ओवैसी इसका पूरा फायदा उठाएंगे.
Nepal : Nearly 2,500 missing, chances of survival bleak
Fears of another flash flood from Tibet have receded after Chinese authorities informed that the water level of another artificial glacial lake is receding. Meanwhile, the death toll today crossed 600, with 2,426 people still reported missing. Among them are 517 foreign nationals. India’s External Affairs Ministry said, nearly 400 Indians in Tibet are safe, but more than 300 Indians are missing.
Reports emanating from ground zero reveal an alarming situation. With three days having passed since the flash flood occurred, chances of survival of those swept away in flash flood are bleak. Shashidharan from New York is waiting news about his wife and 14-year-old daughter, while Dr Milind Chitale of Mumbai, an avid trekker, and his wife are missing. Umesh Sharma, who runs an Indian restaurant in Australia and his wife are also missing. Their relatives only know their last location before communication snapped. Mohit Kaushik and Ruchi Khatri of Canada had gone on trekking. Nobody knows whether they are alive or dead.
Nitu Tiwari of UK had gone on pilgrimage to Mount Kailash. Her parents and brother are still waiting. Her last location was Gyurong check post of China when flash flood struck. Spandan Sahu of UK had just finished her A level from Royal Grammar School. He had gone to Nepal with his father Santosh Sahu, mother Surabhi and 13-year-old sister Saina. There is no info about the whereabouts of this family. Megha Shah of Canada had gone with her husband Dhaval Shah on Kailash pilgrimage, along with Shubhakshi Rawala and her husband Sumit Rawala. They were staying in Kailash Hotel. There has been no contact with these four persons.
There are many such families still waiting. Communications are still cut off in the areas surrounding ground zero. Relatives are pleading with their contacts in army, or government of media to know the whereabouts of their near and dear ones. Everyone is helpless. We can only pray to God for a miracle so that more people return alive.
BJP vs Congress : Social media war intensifies
BJP’s IT cell has suddenly become aggressive. The IT cell units in different states are bombarding social media with memes and videos against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. It all began with Rahul Gandhi’s “Chhatron Ki Goonj” rallies. A website named “Jhooth Ki Goonj” has surfaced to carry out ‘factcheck’ of all allegations levelled by Rahul Gandhi.
According to this website, Rahul Gandhi levelled a total of 40 allegations in his four programs. Out of them 29 were completely fake and 11 were misleading. The website claims it used government data and other facts from 134 sources for fact checking. Congress leaders have alleged that this website has a BJP connect, but BJP has officially denied any connection. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said, BJP has nothing to do with this website which has been promoted by GenZ creators. He said, the website is doing an expose about Rahul Gandhi’s PR stunts and there is no harm in it. Joshi says, if Congress has rebuttals, it is free to do so.
A coordinated and aggressive campaign has been launched by BJP IT cell during the last 72 hours against Rahul Gandhi and Congress. This campaign is being run by different state units of BJP IT cell. They have posted memes and video clips against Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Clearly, Congress is in a daze after this carpet bombing through new creatives on social media. Political war on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube is not new. During 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi and his team had used the internet in a massive campaign. Among followers, Narendra Modi is the king of digital media in India. Modi’s IT team has been dominating social media for the last several years. Meanwhile, other political parties joined the fray on social media.
Congress IT cell and its units tried their utmost to tarnish Narendra Modi’s image. The intensity increased. In the last two or three years, the attacks on Modi have become personal. BJP IT cell responded, but it appeared to be on the defensive. Now that the BJP IT cell has a new team, it has adopted an aggressive approach and has hit the ground running. There has been a flood of memes, videos and posts attacking Urban Naxals. Rahul Gandhi has always been BJP IT cell’s target. The good thing is that there has been no below the belt attacks. I think in the coming days and months, the war will intensify.
Why are Shehbaz, Munir afraid of Imran’s sons?
On the first day of the second Test match between England and Pakistan at Lord’s, a controversy arose between Pakistan Cricket Board and the official broadcaster Sky Sports. Former England captain Mike Atherton took an 18-minute interview with jailed Pakistani cricket icon and former PM Imran Khan’s two sons Kassim and Suleman. Sky Sports was to telecast this interview during lunch break, when news spread and the Pakistan Cricket Board went into a jiffy. PCB reportedly threatened that if the interview was aired, the Pakistani team would not return to the field to play.
PCB tried hard to stop the interview from being telecast but Sky Sports broadcasted. PCB officials were fearing that Kassim and Suleman would expose the Pakistan government. Sky Sports went ahead with the telecast and surprisingly, it was also carried by Pakistani’s state broadcaster PTV. All hell broke loose, and in Pakistan, the interview was cut short by running commercials. Now, Pakistani YouTubers are doing the rest by posting video clips of the interview on social media. In the interview, Imran Khan’s sons alleged that Pakistan government is conspiring to kill their father in jail. Kassim and Suleman’s views have come at a time when Pakistan government is trying to bypass its Supreme Court order for admitting Imran Khan to a private hospital for treatment.
Pakistani officials at Lord’s were shell-shocked when they watched the interview on Sky Sports. Kassim and Suleman are the sons of Imran’s first wife Jemima. They now live in London. They spent much of their time in Pakistan. Both the sons went to Pakistan several times to meet their father in jail, but were not allowed to meet by Pakistani officials. Pakistani army chief Gen Asim Munir knows, people on the streets will become more outraged if they watch Imran’s sons on TV. This was the reason why both the government and army went into a tizzy when the live interview of Imran’s sons was broadcast from Lord’s.

नेपाल पर एक और बड़ा खतरा टल गया. तिब्बत में जो कृत्रिम झील के फटने का डर था, वह, चीनी अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, अब सिकुड़ती जा रही है और फिर से बाढ़ का अभी खतरा नहीं है. मृतकों की संख्या 600 पार कर गई है, और अभी भी 2,426 लोग लापता हैं. इनमें 517 विदेशी नागरिक हैं. विदेश मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि तिब्बत में फंसे करीब 400 भारतीय सुरक्षित हैं, लेकिन अभी भी 300 से ज्यादा भारतीय लापता हैं. उनसे कोई संपर्क नहीं हो पा रहा है.
नेपाल से जो खबरें मिल रही हैं, वो बहुत भयानक हैं. जैसे जैसे वक्त बीत रहा है लापता लोगों के बचने की उम्मीद कम होती जा रही है. न्यूयॉर्क के शशिधरन अपनी पत्नी और 14 साल की बेटी का इंतजार कर रहे हैं. तीस साल से पहाड़ों को नापने वाले मुंबई के डॉक्टर मिलिंद चितले और उनकी पत्नी का कुछ पता नहीं है. ऑस्ट्रेलिया में भारतीय रेस्त्रां चलाने वाले उमेश शर्मा और उनकी पत्नी कृष्णा की बस आखिरी लोकेशन पता है, उसके बाद क्या हुआ, कोई नहीं जानता. कनाडा के मोहित कौशिक और रुचि खत्री trekking पर गए थे, वे कहां फंसे हैं, जिंदा हैं या नहीं, कुछ नहीं पता.
ब्रिटेन की नीतू तिवारी ईशा फाउंडेशन के ग्रुप में कैलास के दर्शन करने के लिए गई थीं. दिल्ली में उसके मम्मी-पापा और भाई इंतजार कर रहे थे. बाढ़ जब आई तब नीतू चीन के गिरोंग check point पर मौजूद थी. ब्रिटेन के स्पंदन साहू ने अभी Royal Grammar school से A level finish किया था. वो अपने पापा संतोष साहू, मां सुरभि और 13 साल की बहन सायना के साथ नेपाल घूमने गया था. पूरे परिवार की कोई खबर अभी तक नहीं मिली है. कनाडा की मेघा शाह अपने पति धवल शाह के साथ कैलास के दर्शन के लिए गई थीं, शुभाक्षी रावला और उनके पति सुमित रावला भी साथ थे. ये सब कैलास होटल में रुके थे. त्रासदी के बाद इन चारों लोगों से कोई बात नहीं हो पाई.
ऐसे कई सारे लोगों को अपने रिश्तेदारों का इंतजार है. संचार संपर्क अभी तक चालू नहीं हो पाया है. हर परेशान व्यक्ति कोई सेना में, सरकार में, मीडिया में अपने परिचितों को ढूंढने में मदद के लिए अनुरोध कर रहा है, लेकिन इस मामले में सब असहाय हैं. किसी के बस में कुछ नहीं है. हम केवल ईश्वर से प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं कि कोई चमत्कार हो, जो लोग लापता हैं, उनमें ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग अपने घर लौटें.
सोशल मीडिया पर बीजेपी आक्रामक क्यों हुई?
कांग्रेस और राहुल गांधी को लेकर बीजेपी का IT cell अचानक बहुत आक्रामक हो गया है.. इस IT cell की सारी यूनिट्स राहुल गांधी पर वायरल वीडियोज की बरसात करने में लगी हैं. इसकी शुरुआत हुई थी, राहुल की “छात्रों की गूंज” रैली की टक्कर में “झूठ की गूंज” नाम के वीडियो कैंपेन से. दरअसल “झूठ की गूंज” ने राहुल के दावों का फैक्ट चेक किया. लिखा कि राहुल ने अपने 4 प्रोग्राम में कुल 40 दावे किए, इनमें से 29 पूरी तरह फेक थे,11 मिसलीडिंग थे. इस वेबसाइट ने राहुल के दावों के फैक्ट चेक के लिए सरकारी डेटा समेत कुल 134 सोर्स का इस्तेमाल किया.
राहुल के हर दावे का जवाब फैक्ट्स से दिया. कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने इसे बीजेपी से कनेक्ट करना शुरू कर दिया, इसके पीछे मोदी के लोगों का हाथ बताया. केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रह्लाद जोशी ने सफाई दी कि इस वेबसाइट से बीजेपी का कोई लेना देना नहीं है, ये वेबसाइट GEN Z क्रिएटर्स ने बनाई है, राहुल के पीआर स्टंट को एक्सपोज किया है, इसमें गलत क्या है ? अगर कांग्रेस के पास इन फैक्ट चेक का कोई जवाब है तो दे. पिछले 72 घंटों से राहुल गांधी और कांग्रेस के खिलाफ एक coordinated और अग्रेसिव कैंपेन चल रहा है. ये कैंपेन बीजेपी के अलग अलग राज्यों की IT सेल चला रही है और बीजेपी के इस सोशल मीडिया वॉर का हथियार है, छोटे छोटे मीम्स और वीडियोज़.
बीजेपी के IT cell ने जिस तरह से पिछले तीन दिन में राहुल गांधी और कांग्रेस पर..नए नए creatives की carpet bombing की है, उससे कांग्रेस चकरा गई है. दरअसल Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube के जरिए राजनीतिक जंग कोई नई बात नहीं है. 2014 के चुनाव के समय नरेंद्र मोदी ने राजनीति के लिए इंटरनेट का सबसे प्रभावी तरीके से इस्तेमाल किया था. अगर followers के लिहाज से देखें.. तो मोदी आज भी digital media के king हैं. मोदी की IT team ने कई साल तक Social media को पूरी तरह dominate किया. फिर बाकी राजनीतिक दल भी इस मैदान में उतरे.
कांग्रेस के IT cell ने अपनी पूरी ताकत नरेंद्र मोदी की छवि को damage करने में लगाई. इसकी intensity बढ़ती गई. पिछले दो तीन साल में attack personal हो गए, बीजेपी ने भी इसका जवाब दिया, लेकिन बीजेपी का IT cell defensive पर दिखाई देता था अब बीजेपी में IT cell की जो नई टीम आई है, उसने बहुत आक्रामक रुख अपनाया है. Urban naxals पर videos और posts की बाढ़ सी आ गई है. बीजेपी का टारगेट राहुल गांधी हैं पर अच्छी बात ये है कि कहीं below the belt attack नहीं किया गया. लगता है आने वाले दिनों में ये युद्ध और तेज़ होगा.
इमरान के बेटों से शहबाज़, मुनीर को किस बात का डर?
इंग्लैंड में लॉर्ड्स के मैदान पर पाकिस्तान और इंग्लैंड के बीच टेस्ट मैच चल रहा है. दूसरे टेस्ट मैच के पहले दिन पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड और मैच के ऑफिशियल ब्रॉडकास्टर स्काई स्पोर्ट्स के बीच विवाद हो गया. दरअसल, इंग्लैंड के पूर्व कप्तान माइकल एथरटन ने पाकिस्तान के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान के बेटों कासिम और सुलेमान का एक इंटरव्यू किया. स्काई स्पोर्ट्स ने इसे मैच के बीच लंच ब्रेक के वक्त ब्रॉडकास्ट करने की तैयारी कर ली लेकिन जब खबर फैली तो पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने इस इंटरव्यू पर आपत्ति की और इसे ब्रॉडकास्ट न करने की चेतावनी दे दी.
पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड ने कहा कि अगर ये इंटरव्यू चलेगा तो पाकिस्तान की टीम लंच ब्रेक के बाद मैदान पर नहीं लौटेगी. PCB ने इंटरव्यू रोकने की पूरी कोशिश की क्योंकि उसे डर था कि इमरान खान के बेटे कासिम और सुलेमान पाकिस्तान सरकार की पोल खोल देंगे. पाकिस्तान की आपत्तियों के बावजूद स्काई स्पोर्ट्स ने लंच ब्रेक में 18 मिनट का पूरा इंटरव्यू दिखाया. मजे की बात ये है कि स्काई स्पोर्ट्स का इंटरव्यू पाकिस्तान के सरकारी टेलीविजन PTV पर भी चला. जैसे ही पाकिस्तानी अधिकारियों को इसकी जानकारी मिली, इंटरव्यू को बीच में रोककर कमर्शियल चलाया गया.
अब पाकिस्तान के यूट्यूबर्स कासिम और सुलेमान का मैसेज वीडियो बनाकर लोगों तक पहुंचाने में लग गए हैं. इमरान खान के बेटों ने आरोप लगाया कि प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ की सरकार इमरान खान को जान से मारने की कोशिश में लगी है. कासिम और सुलेमान के आरोप ऐसे समय में सामने आए हैं जब पाकिस्तान सरकार सुप्रीम कोर्ट के ऑर्डर के बावजूद इमरान खान को इलाज के लिए प्राइवेट हॉस्पिटल में शिफ्ट नहीं कर रही है. इमरान खान के दोनों बेटे सुलेमान और कासिम पहले भी कह चुके हैं कि पाकिस्तान के हुक्मरान उनके पापा को जान से मारना चाहते हैं. जब सुलेमान और कासिम का इंटरव्यू पाकिस्तान के सरकारी चैनल पर दिखा तो लॉर्ड्स में बैठे पाकिस्तानियों के तोते उड़ गए.
इमरान के दोनों बेटे इमरान की पहली पत्नी जमाइमा के साथ लंदन में रहते हैं. जिंदगी का काफी बड़ा हिस्सा उन्होंने पाकिस्तान में बिताया. इमरान के जेल जाने के बाद सुलेमान और कासिम ने कई बार पाकिस्तान जाने की कोशिश की. वे जेल में अपने वालिद से, अपने हीरो इमरान से मिलना चाहते थे लेकिन पाकिस्तान सरकार ने इजाजत नहीं दी. जनरल मुनीर को पता है, इमरान के बेटों को देख कर पाकिस्तान की जनता और भड़क जाएगी. इसीलिए लॉर्ड्स टेस्ट के दौरान उनके लाइव इंटरव्यू से पाकिस्तान की सरकार और फौज को इतनी मिर्ची लगी.
नेपाल में प्रलय : क्या चीन तिब्बत के इको-सिस्टम से छेड़छाड़ कर रहा है?
नेपाल में विनाशकारी सैलाब के बाद अब फिर खतरा मंडरा रहा है. नेपाल सरकार ने भोटेकोशी नदी के आसपास रहने वालों को ऊपर के स्थानों पर जाने को कहा है क्योंकि नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ रहा है और तिब्बत में ग्लेशियर के फिर फट कर गिरने का खतरा है. बुधवार को भोटेकोशी नदी में आई अचानक बाढ़ ने नेपाल के 8 ज़िलों को पूरी तरह तबाह कर दिया है. इस प्राकृतिक प्रकोप में मृतकों की संख्या लगातार बढ़ती जा रही है. करीब डेढ़ हजार लोग लापता हैं, इनमें 290 भारतीय भी हैं.
सवाल ये है कि अचानक बाढ़ क्यों आई ? ग्लेशियर कितनी ऊंचाई पर, कहां पर टूटा ? उसके बाद नदी में इतना पानी कैसे आया, क्यों आया ? उसकी रफ्तार इतनी ज्यादा क्यों थी ? क्या इसके पीछे चीन की कोई लापरवाही है? क्या चीन ने वाकई नेपाल को अलर्ट करने में देरी की? क्या चीन ने सीमा पर जो बांध बनाए हैं, वो भविष्य में नेपाल और भारत के लिए खतरनाक हो सकते हैं? नेपाल की नेशनल डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट अथॉरिटी ने एक नया अलर्ट जारी किया है. उसने कहा है कि रसुआगढ़ी बॉर्डर से करीब 18 किलोमीटर ऊपर ल्हेंडे नदी का रास्ता अब भी रुका हुआ है. इसकी वजह से एक कृत्रिम झील बन गई है. ये कृत्रिम झील कभी भी टूट सकती है.
चीन कह रहा है कि ग्लेशियर भूकंप की वजह से टूटा, लेकिन अमेरिकन जिओलॉजिकल सर्वे ने कहा कि नेपाल में अचानक आई बाढ़ का कारण 4.4 तीव्रता वाला भूकंप नहीं, बल्कि ग्लेशियर का ढहना था. USGS ने अपनी रिपोर्ट में कहा कि पहले ग्लेशियर टूटा, ग्लेशियर का टुकड़ा 5,200 मीटर की ऊंचाई से 1200 मीटर नीचे गिरा. इसके गिरने से जो कंपन पैदा हुआ, उसे भूकंप कहा जा रहा है. हकीकत ये है कि भूकंप की वजह से ग्लेशियर नहीं टूटा, बल्कि ग्लेशियर टूटकर गिरने से 4.4 की तीव्रता का भूकंप महसूस हुआ.
साफ है चीन ने न सिर्फ ग्लेशियर टूटने की वजह को लेकर दुनिया को गुमराह करने की कोशिश की, बल्कि नेपाल को इस खतरे की जानकारी देने में भी देरी की. चीन ने रियल टाइम इन्फॉर्मेशन शेयर नहीं की, बल्कि नेपाल को 45 मिनट बाद इसकी जानकारी दी. इसकी वजह से नेपाल अपने नागरिकों को अलर्ट नहीं कर पाया. चीन की दूसरी बड़ी गलती ये भी है कि उसने तिब्बत की eco-sensitive zone में अवैध निर्माण कर रखा है. चीन ने ऊंचाई वाले ग्लेशियर के इलाकों में ‘श्याओकांग मॉडल’ पर गांव और बस्तियां बसा दी हैं.
श्याओकांग मॉडल का अर्थ बॉर्डर इलाकों में आधुनिक सुविधाओं से लैस गांव बसाना है. चीन इसे एक सामरिक कदम के तौर पर देखता है. इसके ज़रिए वो सरहदी इलाकों में अपनी भौगोलिक और रणनीतिक पकड़ मज़बूत बनाता है. ग्लेशियर टूटने की दूसरी वजह ये बताई जा रही है कि चीन ने तिब्बत के केरुंग शहर में पहाड़ियों का बेतरतीब खनन किया है. त्रिशूली नदी के नेचुरल रूट को बदल दिया है. इसके अलावा चीन ने केरुंग में पोर्ट भी बनाया है. आरोप है कि इस बनावट के कारण चीन की तरफ से नेपाल जाने वाले पानी की रफ्तार बहुत तेज़ हो जाती है. नेपाल में कितने लोग मारे गए हैं, कितने लापता हैं, इसका अभी तक सही अंदाज़ा नहीं है. सबसे बड़ी समस्या ये है कि जिन लोगों के अपने लोग लापता हैं, उनके परिवार वालों को कोई सूचना नहीं मिल रही. वो सिर्फ TV पर टकटकी लगाए बैठे हैं, Helpline पर फोन करते हैं. पर जहां ये हादसा हुआ वहां कोई संचार नेटवर्क नहीं है. इसीलिए किसी को कुछ नहीं पता. किसी को ये भी नहीं मालूम कि ये हादसा कैसे हुआ ?
परसों से ये कहा जा रहा है कि चीन ने अगर आधे घंटे पहले अलर्ट कर दिया होता तो हजारों लोगों की जान बच सकती थी. चीन कह रहा है कि उसकी तरफ से कोई लापरवाही नहीं हुई. दूसरी तरफ भारत ने जिस तरह आगे बढ़ कर नेपाल की मदद की, उसकी तारीफ पूरी दुनिया में हो रही है. भारतीय वायु सेना लोगों को बचाने और जरूरी सामान पहुंचाने में पूरी ताकत से लगी है. रेस्क्यू टीम्स घटनास्थल पर मौजूद हैं, helpline active हैं, भारत के दूतावास पूरी दुनिया में अपने लोगों के संपर्क में हैं. असल में ये नरेंद्र मोदी की खासियत है. प्राकृतिक आपदा चाहे नेपाल में हो या टर्की में, भारत की टीम्स, डॉक्टर्स और राहत सामग्री सबसे पहले पहुंचती हैं. मोदी ने 2002 के गुजरात भूकंप को हैंडल करते समय जो कुछ सीखा, वो अब दुनिया के काम आ रहा है.
आरक्षण व्यवस्था में सुधार के लिए आंदोलन क्यों?
अब बात आरक्षण में सुधारों को लेकर चल रही मुहिम की. दिल्ली के जंतर-मंतर पर 21 अगस्त को जो प्रोटेस्ट हुआ था, उस प्रोटेस्ट से जुड़े लोगों ने केंद्रीय मंत्री जे.पी. नड्डा से मुलाकात की. इन लोगों में हर्ष दुबे, रणबहादुर सिंह चौहान और मृत्युंजय पाठक शामिल थे. लंबी चली इस मीटिंग को दोनों पक्षों ने सकारात्मक बताया. जे. पी. नड्डा ने कहा कि दोनों पक्ष 7 सितम्बर को फिर मिलेंगे. हर्ष दुबे ने बताया कि वो चाहते हैं कि सरकार आरक्षण में जल्द सुधार करे ताकि जिसको आरक्षण की जरूरत है, उसी को आरक्षण मिले.
पहले तो ये impression दिया गया था कि जंतर मंतर पर प्रोटेस्ट करने वाले आरक्षण को खत्म करने की मांग कर रहे हैं. ये भी धारणा फैलाई गई कि ये सवर्ण जातियों के लोग हैं, इनमें ब्राह्मण, ठाकुर हैं, जो आरक्षण को हटाना चाहते हैं. लेकिन उनकी बात सुन कर ये आशंका दूर हो गई. प्रोटेस्ट करने वालों का दावा है कि वो आरक्षण व्यवस्था में सुधार चाहते हैं. सुधार की गुंजाइश तो हर जगह होती है पर ये सुधार उन लोगों के लिए होना चाहिए जिन्हें वाकई सहायता की जरूरत है. मूल बात ये है कि किसी भी जाति या वर्ग के साथ अन्याय न हो.
2036 ओलंपिक की तैयारी अभी से करो
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि भारत के युवाओं को अभी से 2036 ओलंपिक की तैयारी में जुट जाना चाहिए. पांच साल से 15 साल तक उम्र के उन खिलाड़ियों की अभी पहचान कर लेनी चाहिए जो 2036 ओलंपिक में शामिल होंगे. मोदी खेलो इंडिया डायलॉग में बोल रहे थे. इस प्रोग्राम में देशभर से खिलाड़ी और कोच जुड़े. ओलंपिक की मेडल टेली में भारत कई देशों से पीछे है. मोदी ने इसकी वजह बताई. उन्होंने कहा कि ओलंपिक में होने वाले आधे से ज्यादा खेलों में भारत के खिलाड़ी हिस्सा नहीं लेते. 2012 ओलंपिक में भारत ने सिर्फ 13 खेलों में हिस्सा लिया, 20 खेलों में भारत के खिलाड़ी शामिल ही नहीं हुए, ये दुख की बात है.
मोदी की ये बात सही है कि भारत का नाम मेडल की tally में इसलिए नीचे रहता है, कि हम गिने चुने खेलों में हिस्सा लेते हैं. हमारे ज्यादातर मेडल कुश्ती, बॉक्सिंग जैसे दो चार खेलों से आते हैं. अगर हम बाकी के खेलों के लिए प्लेयर्स तैयार करें तो मेडल जीतने की संभावनाएं बढ़ेंगी. मोदी की ये बात भी सही है कि इसे हासिल करने के लिए एक ecosystem तैयार करना होगा. पर समस्या ये है कि हमारे देश में ज्यादातर खेल फेडरेशन, खासतौर से राज्य स्तर के खेल संगठन ऐसे लोगों के हाथ में हैं जिनका ध्यान coaching, training और sports infrastructure पर ज़रा भी नहीं होता. उनका फोकस तो अपनी दुकान चलाने में है. उन्हें न players से मतलब है, न games से. वो तो फेडरेशन में अपनी position का फायदा अपने काम कराने और चुनाव में अपने आप को दावेदार बनाने के लिए करते हैं.
Deluge in Nepal : Is China tinkering with Tibet’s eco-system?
A fresh danger is looming after the deluge that swept away more than 1,500 people on the Nepal-Tibet border. There are fears that a newly formed lake of rising water could burst its banks in Tibet. China has warned there is a “high risk” that a lake which formed after the recent landslide may breach its banks, causing a second flood downstream.
Till today, an estimated 2.5 million cubic metres of water has accumulated at the barrier lake near the Nepal-Tibet border, official Chinese television said. This barrier lake, which was created at the confluence of Chhochen Khola and Purepu Tsangpo rivers, had started to overflow on Thursday. In Nepal, authorities have alerted people living near Bhotekashi river to leave the area as the water level is rising. The flash flood in Bhotekashi river on August 26 caused devastation in eight districts of Nepal. The death toll is rising and more than 1,500 people, including 290 Indians, are reported missing.
Questions arise: Why did the flash flood occur? Where did the glacier break and at what height? Was there negligence on part of China in alerting Nepal about the flash flood? Are the dams being built by China on the border dangerous for both Nepal and India? Nepal’s National Disaster Management Authority has issued alert saying that the flow of Lhende river 18 km away from Rasuagarhi border has stopped, creating an artificial lake, which can break anytime. China claims, the glacier broke because of an earthquake, but the US Geological Survey says, the flash flood was not the result of a 4.4 scale earthquake, but because a glacier broke and fell.
USGS says, the glacier first broke and one of its parts fell from 5,200 metre height to a depth of 1,200 metres. The tremors are being attributed to an earthquake. China is trying to mislead about why the glacier broke. It did not share real time info with Nepal because the flash flood came 45 minutes later. China’s second mistake is its illegal construction of Xiaokang villages in Tibet’s eco-sensitive zone. These modern, spacious settlements feature robust infrastructure (roads, power, and communication) and are designed to house both civilians and People’s Liberation Army (PLA) personnel for rapid mobilization in border areas. Another reason for the glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF) is indiscriminate mining being carried out by China in Kerung, Tibet.
The Tibetan plateau holds immense reserves of strategic materials, including copper, lithium, gold, chromium, zinc, and lead, and Chinese companies are aggressively exploring these high altitude deposits. This has resulted in diversion of Trishuli river’s natural route. Nobody knows exactly how many people have died in the deluge. 393 bodies are yet to be identified, and the toll has crossed 538. India, on its part, has provided quick humanitarian assistance to Nepal by sending two plane loads of relief and rescue materials. The world is praising India’s pro-active role in relief work. This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s style of working, when disasters strike, whether in Nepal or Turkey. Indian rescue teams, doctors and relief material were the first to reach the spot. Modi’s experience of rescue and rehabilitation after the 2002 Gujarat earthquake has come in handy.
Why protest for reforms in reservation?
Union Minister J. P. Nadda had a meeting yesterday with leaders of Reservation Reforms Movement. These leaders, including Harsh Dubey, Ranbahadur Singh Chauhan and Mrityunjay Pathak, had staged a big protest at Jantar Mantar on August 21. The movement leaders said, the meeting was positive and another round will be held on September 7. Harsh Dubey said, his team wants the government to introduce reforms in reservation, so that those who really deserve it get support from the state.
An impression was earlier created that these activists want an end to caste-based reservation system. A perception was created that these activists are from upper castes like Brahmin, Thakur, etc. who want an end to reservation. After hearing their views, this apprehension has been removed. The protesters say, they want reforms in reservation. Clearly, there is scope for reforms everywhere, but these reforms should benefit only those who really need reservation. The main point is that there must be no injustice to any caste or class.
Prepare for 2036 Olympics right now
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing Khelo India dialogue, said, youths in India must start preparations right now for 2036 Olympics. He suggested that players from the age of 5 till 15 years must be identified now so that they can be trained for 2036 Olympics. Modi explained why India ranks far below in Olympics medal tally. He said, Indian players do not participate in more than half of the games in Olympics.
For example, in 2012 Olympics, India participated in only 13 games and stayed away from 20 other games. Modi is right. India stays away from many of the games that feature in Olympics. Most of our medals are won in wrestling, boxing and some other disciplines. If we prepare our players for other disciplines, there is scope for increasing our medal tally.
Modi is right when he says that to achieve this, we must create an ecosystem. The problem is that most of our sports federations, particularly state level sports bodies, are in the hands of those who pay little attention to coaching, training and sports infrastructure. Their only focus is on how to run their shops. They have nothing to do with players or games. They use their positions in sports federations to get their own work done. They place themselves as contenders for tickets in elections.
Cheating in Maharashtra, Rajasthan : Quick, stringent punishment only solution
Maharashtra Public Service Commission yesterday cancelled the drug inspectors recruitment examination. The exam was conducted on March 22, results were declared on June 12, interviews took place in July, final results were out on July 22 and 485 successful candidates were awaiting appointment letters. A re-test will be conducted soon. Reason: The question paper was leaked on March 20, two days before the exam.
Six persons, including the undersecretary of MPSC, two section officers and a coaching centre owner, have been arrested. The allegation: Question papers were sold at Rs 40 lakh each. The can of worms opened when a student, Gaurav Patil ratted on his ex-girl friend Rituja Patil, who scored 7th rank in the exam. Gaurav showed screenshots of his WhatsApp chats with Rituja to RTI activist Hrishikesh Gangurde. Both sent a complaint to MPSC. During probe, it was found Rituja’s father Amrit Patil had bought the leaked paper from Praveen Patil, who runs a coaching centre in Nandurbar.
Praveen Patil spilled the beans. He said, he got the question paper set from some MPSC officials. If Rituja Patil had not broken her relationship with Gaurav, the paper leak would have remained a secret, forever. The question now: What about those successful candidates who toiled hard and cracked the exam? In Rajasthan, a student who cracked the physical training instructor exam, was found to have produced fake degree issued by a private university vice-chancellor. The student, Bharmal Ram of Sanchore, Rajasthan, cracked the PTI exam by sending a dummy candidate. He submitted two fake B.P. Ed. degrees from different universities.
One back dated fake degree submitting while filling application form, was from OPJS University, Churu and the other, presented after selection, was from Satya Sai University, Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan Police special operations group arrested Mukesh Tiwari, vice chancellor, Sanjay Rathore, controller of exams, and Anand Sharma, computer operator, all from Satya Sai University. All three were brought from MP to Jaipur. During probe, it was found that there were 66 such candidates in the PTI exam who had submitted fake B.P. Ed. degrees from Satya Sai University. This is really worrying. If officials sitting in Public Service Commission start leaking question papers, and if the vice chancellor of a university sells fake degrees, what will be the fate of our young generation?
There is this famous Bollywood song from the movie ‘Amar Prem”: “Maanjhi Jab Naav Duboye, Usey Koun Bachayey” (if the boatman sinks the boat, who can save?) If a vice chancellor starts a racket by selling fake degrees, who can stop education from going to hell? The roots of this system are deep. The corrupt network is so widespread that it will be a humungous task to track. What will teachers teach when they crack exam using dummy candidates and fake degrees? No government can stop this crime where corruption has spread from top to bottom. The only way out: Set up fast track courts and give stringent punishment to those who are involved in cheating. Unless three or four persons are given exemplary punishment, one cannot strike terror in the minds of other criminals.
Nepal flash flood : Did delay in alert from China caused loss of lives?
The sudden flash flood on Nepal-Tibet border has claimed lives of several hundred people. Thousands are still missing. Among the missing are 288 Indian tourists and 291 other foreign nationals. Most of the Indian tourists had gone on pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. Nobody living near the banks of Bhotekashi river had any inkling that a huge 100-feet high wall of flood water would sweep off everything within 30 seconds. Buildings, markets, homes and vehicles were swept away in the deluge.
Responders are finding it difficult to trace those missing as road links and communications have been snapped. India has sent two plane loads of emergency relief and disaster management materials. Experts say that China probably delayed in sharing info about the deluge with Nepal. Had Chinese authorities shared real time info 45 minutes earlier, lives of several thousand people could have been saved. People in Nepal say, the location where the glacier burst took place is 50 km from the border.
The flash flood took 30 to 40 minutes time to reach Nepal. Pilgrims who had returned from Kailash Mansarovar were present inside the Chinese immigration office, when flash flood swept away the building. The danger is not over. Some experts from Nepal have told me that a second burst may occur, followed by flash flood. China shared info about the flash flood with Nepal only when the deluge had swept away everything. The people of Nepal will never forget the destruction unleashed from China.
Bhagwat at Madison Square : Will he remove misconceptions about RSS?
The chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Mohan Bhagwat will be addressing a big event at New York’s Madison Square on Saturday August 29 in the presence of more than 5,000 Indians. Several organizations including Indian American Muslim Council have demanded that permission for the event be withdrawn. New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said he does not support this event. Mamdani said: ” The vision of India I was taught by my family, and the one that I grew up being very familiar with, was of a pluralistic society — a secular republic that believed in the belonging of each and every person who was from India. It has been incredibly troubling to see the rise of a movement that is predicated on an exclusionary vision of any country, frankly.”
Mamdani said, “I find myself in deep opposition to — not only as an Indian American, but also as the mayor of a city that believes deeply in the belonging of each and every person, no matter their colour, their creed, their religion, their faith, wherever they’re from.” I can confidently say, when Mamdani will hear the RSS chief speak, he will know that Bhagwat is different from other traditional RSS leaders. He does not speak about exclusion. Bhagwat has been saying that there is no need to search for Shivling in every mosque built in India. He has also spoken to Islamic clerics of Deoband. Bhagwat never projects RSS as a secret organization. He speaks on all topics with an open mind. Last week, we saw how he answered each and every question posed by GenZ youths. Bhagwat’s views are open and modern. That is why, when he speaks at Madison Square, many misconceptions about the RSS will be removed.
महाराष्ट्र, राजस्थान में धांधली : फौरन कड़ी सज़ा एकमात्र उपाय
महाराष्ट्र पब्लिक सर्विस कमीशन ने ड्रग इंस्पेक्टर्स की परीक्षा को रद्द कर दिया. 22 मार्च को परीक्षा हुई, 12 जून को नतीजे आए, जुलाई में इंटरव्यू हुए, 22 जुलाई को अंतिम नतीजे आए, 485 उम्मीदवार नियुक्ति पत्र का इंतजार कर रहे थे लेकिन कल MPSC ने ऐलान कर दिया कि ये परीक्षा दोबारा होगी. पता लगा कि 20 मार्च को ही प्रश्नपत्र लीक हो गया था. पुलिस क्राइम ब्रांच ने छह लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है, इनमें MPSC के अंडर सेक्रेट्री, दो सेक्शन अफसर और एक कोचिंग संचालक शामिल हैं.
महाराष्ट्र में जिन्हें परीक्षा का चौकीदार बनाया, वही लुटेरे निकले. सिस्टम में बैठे लोगों ने ही पेपर लीक किया. यहां भी कोचिंग क्लास चलाने वालों के जरिए 40-40 लाख रुपये लेकर सवाल बताए गए. अगर गौरव पाटिल नाम के लड़के की ऋतुजा पाटिल नाम की लड़की से पहले दोस्ती और फिर तकरार न हुई होती, तो शायद ये अपराध कभी सामने न आता. बेईमानी से पास होने वाले ड्रग इंस्पेक्टर बनते और जीवन भर रिश्वतखोरी करते. पर उन लोगों का क्या कसूर, जिन्होंने ईमानदारी से परीक्षा पास की, ड्रग इंस्पेक्टर बने ? अब नौकरी चली गई. उन्हें बिना बात की सज़ा मिली.
एक बात साफ है, जहां-जहां पेपर लीक होते हैं, वहां-वहां अंदर के लोग, पेपर सेट करने वाले लोग कोचिंग वालों से मिल कर ये पाप करते हैं और ईमानदारी से पढ़ने वाले छात्र भुगतते हैं. इस कारण लोगों में आक्रोश है. राजस्थान से चौंकाने वाली खबर आई. फिजिकल ट्रेनिंग इंस्ट्रक्टर की भर्ती में एक उम्मीदवार का चयन हुआ,वह नियुक्ति पत्र लेने पहुंचा, उसके कागज़ात की जांच हुई, तो पता लगा कि फार्म भरते वक्त जो डिग्री लगाई, वो फर्जी थी और ज्वाइनिंग से पहले जो डिग्री दी, वो भी नकली निकली. जांच आगे बढ़ी तो पता लगा कि मध्य प्रदेश की एक प्राइवेट यूनिवर्सिटी का वाइस चांसलर ही फर्जी डिग्री बांटने का रैकेट चला रहा था. ये खबरें चिंता पैदा करने वाली हैं.
अगर पब्लिक सर्विस कमीशन में बैठे अफसर पेपर लीक कराएं, अगर यूनिवर्सिटी का वाइस चांसलर पैसे लेकर फर्जी डिग्री बांटे तो नौजवानों के भविष्य का क्या होगा ? राजस्थान पुलिस ने सत्य साईं यूनिवर्सिटी के वाइस चांसलर मुकेश तिवारी, एग्ज़ाम कंट्रोलर संजय राठौड़ और कम्प्यूटर ऑपरेटर आनंद शर्मा को गिरफ्तार किया. इन तीनों को मध्यप्रदेश से जयपुर लाया गया. जांच में और भी खुलासे हुए. राजस्थान में हुई PTI की परीक्षा में 66 उम्मीदवार ऐसे थे, जिन्होंने इसी सत्य साईं यूनिवर्सिटी से बैकडेट में B.P.Ed की डिग्री ली थी और यहां सिर्फ B.P.Ed ही नहीं, बल्कि B.Ed और फार्मेसी समेत कई कोर्स की फेक डिग्रियां बांटी जाती थीं.
फिल्म ‘अमर प्रेम’ का गाना है, ‘मांझी जब नाव डुबोए तो उसे कौन बचाए’, अगर वाइस चांसलर ही फर्जी डिग्री देने के अपराध में शामिल हो जाए तो शिक्षा को पाताल में जाने से कौन रोक सकता है ? नौकरी पाने के लिए बाजार में बिकाऊ माल है और खरीदार भी मौजूद हैं. इस सिस्टम की जड़ें इतनी गहरी हैं और भ्रष्टाचार का जाल इतनी दूर तक फैला है कि उससे पार पाना मुश्किल है. जब डिग्री फर्जी हो, जब परीक्षा में बैठने वाला उम्मीदवार dummy हो, तो इस सिस्टम से जो टीचर निकलेंगे, वो क्या पढ़ाएंगे? इस तरह के अपराध को कोई सरकार नहीं रोक सकती, क्योंकि ऊपर से नीचे तक सब मिले हुए हैं. एक ही तरीका है, फास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट, और परीक्षा में बेईमानी करने पर कड़ी सज़ा. जब तक दो चार लोगों को मिसाल के तौर पर सज़ा नहीं मिलेगी, तब तक दूसरों में डर पैदा नहीं होगा.
नेपाल में तबाही : क्या चीन वक्त पर सूचना देता, तो हजारों जानें बच सकती थीं?
नेपाल से बाढ़ की डरावनी तस्वीरें सामने आईं. तिब्बत से आई भीषण बाढ़ ने नेपाल में जबरदस्त तबाही मचाई. भोटेकोशी नदी में इतना तेज सैलाब आया कि किसी को संभलने तक का मौका नहीं मिला. किसी ने सोचा नहीं था अगले 30 सेकेंड में मौत उन पर सैलाब बनकर झपटने वाली है. शांत बह रही नदी में अचानक 100 फीट ऊंचा बहाव आया, चीख पुकार मच गई लेकिन लोगों के पास इतना समय नहीं था कि भाग कर जान बचाएं. हजारों लोग बह गए, इमारतें कागज की तरह पानी में बह गईं, 30 सेकेंड में नेपाल के दो बड़े बाजार तबाह हो गए. सैकड़ों मकान, दुकान, तीन पुलिस चौकियां, पनबिजली परियोजना और दर्जनों पुल बाढ़ में बह गए.
कहा जा रहा है कि हिमस्खलन के कारण भोटेकोशी की सहायक नदी ल्हेंदे के बहाव में रुकावट पैदा होने के बाद बाढ़ आई और सबसे पहले चीन की सीमा के पास रसुवागढ़ी में बाढ़ का कहर टूटा। लापता लोगों में 288 भारतीयों के अलावा, दूसरे देशों से आए 291 टूरिस्ट हैं. ज्यादातर भारतीय कैलास मानसरोवर की यात्रा करने निकले थे. इनकी तलाश जारी है लेकिन सड़कें टूटी हुई हैं। संचार संपर्क कटा हुआ है. भारत सरकार ने वायु सेना के दो विमानों में नेपाल को राहत सामग्री भेजी है. नेपाल के लोगों का कहना है कि मौत का ये सैलाब चीन से आया. जहां ग्लेशियर फटा, वो हिस्सा नेपाल से 50 किलोमीटर दूर है. बाढ के पानी को नेपाल तक पहुंचने में 30 से 40 मिनट लगे. अगर चीन ने ये सूचना समय रहते नेपाल को दी होती, तो हजारों लोगों की जान बचाई जा सकती थी. लोगों को सुरक्षित ठिकानों तक पहुंचाने के लिए आधा घंटा काफी था लेकिन चीन ने ये सूचना शेयर नहीं की.
पानी के बहाव का परिमाण और पानी के साथ आया मलबा इतना भयानक था कि रास्ते में जो कुछ आया, इमारतें, पुल, सड़कें सब कुछ बहा कर ले गया. कैलास मानसरोवर से लौटने वाले यात्री चीन की सीमा पर चीन के immigration office में मौजूद थे. पानी के सैलाब में वे सब बह गए. लेकिन खतरा अभी टला नहीं है. नेपाल के कुछ एक्सपर्ट्स ने मुझे बताया कि जहां चीन का डैम टूटा, वहां से अब दूसरा flash flood आने की चेतावनी दी गई है. जब सब कुछ बर्बाद हो चुका तब चीन ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय कानून के मुताबिक जानकारी शेयर की. चीन से भेजी गई इस तबाही को नेपाल के लोग कभी नहीं भूल पाएंगे.
अमेरिका में भागवत बोलेंगे, क्या RSS को लेकर गलत धारणाएं दूर करेंगे?
राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ के सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत अमेरिका पहुंचे. न्यूयॉर्क के मेडिसन स्क्वॉयर में 29 अगस्त को उनके प्रोग्राम में 5,000 से ज्यादा भारतीय जुटेंगे. इंडियन अमेरिकन मुस्लिम काउंसिल समेत कई संगठनों ने इस प्रोग्राम की अनुमति रद्द करने की मांग की है. न्यूयॉर्क के मेयर ज़ोहरान ममदानी ने प्रोग्राम रद्द करने पर साफ कुछ नहीं कहा लेकिन इतना जरूर कहा है कि वो “बांटने वाली सोच का समर्थन नहीं करते”.
जब ममदानी संघ प्रमुख की बात सुनेंगे तो उन्हें पता चलेगा कि मोहन भागवत RSS के परंपरागत नेताओं से अलग हैं. वह बांटने की बात नहीं करते. मोहन भागवत तो कहते हैं कि हर मस्जिद में शिवलिंग ढूंढने की जरूरत नहीं है. उन्होंने देवबंद के मौलानाओं से भी अपनी पहल पर बात की. वह RSS को पहले की तरह एक गुप्त संगठन के रूप में पेश नहीं करते, हर विषय पर खुल कर बोलते हैं. पिछले हफ्ते हमने देखा कि युवा पीढ़ी को लेकर उनके विचार बहुत खुले और मॉडर्न हैं. इसीलिए न्यूयॉर्क में जब मोहन भागवत बोलेंगे तो संघ को लेकर बहुत सारी गलत धारणाएं दूर हो जाएंगी.
Bihar students’ protest : All demands are not justified
After Delhi and Jharkhand, student protests have reached Bihar. In Patna on Tuesday, protesters marched to the Chief Minister’s residence. Police had to resort to mild lathi charge and water cannons to stop them. Several police personnel were injured in stone throwing.
The students are demanding cancellation of BPSC exam. They also want teacher recruitment exam to be held in one phase only, the Pre and Mains concept be given the go-by, and negative markings must end. Bihar Public Service Commission has said that it is not possible to accept these demands. The government is ready for talks with students.
The demand by protesters to hold early exams for all pending posts is justified. Their demand for timebound action against those indulging in paper leak, transparency in exam system is also justified. But how can their demand for change in exam system be justified? The system was made transparent based on suggestions from an experts committee. Even Union Public Service Commission conducts Civil Services Preliminary and Main exams in two phases.
Negative markings were introduced on the suggestions of experts’ committee. If students want that there must be no bungling in exams, then changes will have to be introduced. The incident that took place during the pharmacy exam at Patna University of Health Sciences is surprising. Since copying was not allowed, nearly 90 per cent students failed and there were protests by students.
Who can accept the demand for allowing copying in exam? If the exam system has to be reformed and students who toil hard are to be given a chance to pass their exams, there must be stringent rules to stop paper leaks and cheating. Strong measures are needed to change the examination system.
Samrat Chaudhary must improve conditions of Bihar schools
Many government schools in Bihar are in a pathetic shape. Yesterday, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary launched Vidyarthi Sahyog, a student support portal, with a helpline number 1100, where students can lodge complaints which will be resolved within 30 days.
Student support camps will be held in all schools and hostels on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Samrat Chaudhary’s ideas may be good, but there is a severe trust deficit. People have doubts whether his plans can be successfully implemented. Conditions in schools are so dismal that it requires steps on a war footing. Let me give some examples. In a govt middle school in Madhepura, there are only two classrooms where 159 students from Class One to Class Eight study at a time. Teachers of different subjects teach students of different classes inside the same classroom simultaneously.
One can well imagine what these children may be learning. The state government sanctioned funds for a new building but since land was not allotted, the funds were returned. In a school in Patna, teachers and students of five different classes share a single blackboard. Visuals of these school rooms were telecast in my show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ on September 15, 2023.
There has been no change in the condition of the school. In Rohtas, students study in a school where buffaloes are kept. In one room is a fodder cutting machine and another room is stocked with hay. Students study in the remaining two rooms. Teachers told India TV reporter that a local goon, Sonu Yadav, has occupied the school building claiming that it has been built on land owned by his grandfather.
I would like to praise the children of Bihar who study in a room adjoining the stable and pass examinations. If after 40 years, the government is unable to provide proper classrooms to students, and if they have to study with buffaloes tied nearby, what is the use of appointing teachers? Framing a good syllabus, appointing competent teachers will not help, if the school does not have proper classrooms. What will students study and what will the teachers teach? If Samrat Chaudhary can change this situation, he should deserve the highest award.
Yogi in poll mode : Jobs for youths, free bus travel for elderly women
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has promised to give government jobs to one lakh youths in the next six months. Yesterday, he distributed job appointment letters to 3,446 agriculture technical assistants and 126 ‘mandi’ secretaries.
His cabinet also decided to provide lifetime free bus travel to all women above the age of 60 years across UP. Women will have to show their Aadhar card or voter identity card to avail free bus travel. This is a Raksha Bandhan gift for elderly women from Yogi.
The chief minister is now in election mode. He is announcing new plans daily and his arch political rival Akhilesh Yadav is nonplussed. UP government has allotted Rs 2,354 crore in its budget for distributing free laptops to nearly 25 lakh youths. Rs 604 crore have been allotted for repairs and rebuilding of primary and upper primary schools. The idea is to provide better classrooms to young children.
Yogi understood the needs of the time and the public mood. He made decisions accordingly.
बिहार छात्र आंदोलन : सारी मांगें जायज़ नहीं
अब छात्रों के आंदोलन की आग बिहार पहुंच गई है. पटना में छात्रों ने मुख्यमंत्री आवास को घेरने की कोशिश की, पुलिस के साथ टकराव हुआ. पुलिस ने संयम बरता, हल्का लाठीचार्ज किया, वॉटर कैनन का इस्तेमाल किया. किसी भी प्रदर्शनकारी को चोट नहीं आई लेकिन छात्रों के पथराव में कई पुलिस वालों के सिर फूट गए.
छात्र BPSC परीक्षा को रद्द करने की मांग कर रहे हैं, साथ ही चाहते हैं कि शिक्षकों की भर्ती की परीक्षा अक चरण में हो, प्री और मेन्स का concept खत्म किया जाए, निगेटिव मार्किंग न हो. बिहार पब्लिक सर्विस कमीशन ने साफ कह दिया है कि इस तरह की मांगें मानना संभव नहीं हैं. छात्र बात करना चाहते हैं, तो सरकार तैयार है. छात्रों की जायज मांगों पर सरकार विचार कर सकती है लेकिन इस तरह सड़क पर उतर कर सरकार को झुकाया नहीं जा सकता.
पटना में जो प्रोटैस्ट हुए, उसमें छात्रों की ये मांग तो सही है कि जो भर्तियां पेंडिंग हैं, उनकी परीक्षा जल्द कराई जाय. ये मांग भी सही है कि पेपर लीक कराने वालों के खिलाफ तय वक्त के अंदर कार्रवाई हो, और पूरे सिस्टम में पारदर्शिता हो. लेकिन एक्सपर्ट्स कमेटी ने परीक्षा को परादर्शी बनाने का जो तरीका बनाया है, उसे बदलने की मांग कैसे न्यायोचित हो सकती है ?
दो चरणों में civil services परीक्षा UPSC में भी होती है, Negative marking भी एक्सपर्ट्स कमेटी की सलाह पर की गई. अगर छात्र चाहते हैं कि परीक्षा में हेराफेरी न हो, तो परीक्षा कराने के सिस्टम में बदलाव तो करना ही पड़ेगा. पटना में University of Health Sciences में जो प्रोटैस्ट हुआ, उसकी वजह तो चौंकाने वाली है. फार्मेसी की परीक्षा में नकल नहीं करने दी गई, इसीलिए 90 प्रतिशत छात्र फेल हो गये, इसको लेकर प्रोटैस्ट हुए. नकल कराकर परीक्षा पास कराने की मांग कौन मान सकता है ?
अगर परीक्षा प्रणाली को दुरुस्त करना है, मेहनत करने वाले छात्रों को पास होना है तो पेपर लीक और चीटिंग, दोनों पर रोक लगानी होगी. बिना सिस्टम बदले, बिना सख्ती किए ये नहीं किया जा सकता.
सम्राट चौधरी बिहार के स्कूलों की बदहाली पर ध्यान दें
बिहार में स्कूलों की इस समय जो हालत है, वो केवल web portal पर शिकायतें नोट करके और नोटिस भेज कर दूर नहीं हो पाएंगी. इसके लिए युद्ध स्तर पर काम करने की जरूरत है. कुछ उदाहरण बताता हूं. मधेपुरा के बेरवा गांव मे सरकारी मिडिल स्कूल में 159 बच्चे पढ़ते हैं. क्लासरूम सिर्फ दो है. शिक्षकों ने आसान रास्ता निकाला है. छठी, सातवीं और आठवीं क्लास के बच्चे एक ही रूम में बैठ कर पढ़ते हैं और दूसरे रूम में तीसरी, चौथी और पांचवी कक्षा के बच्चे बैठते हैं. एक ही वक्त में तीन अलग अलग कक्षाओं के बच्चों को तीन शिक्षक अलग अलग विषय पढ़ाते हैं. चारों तरफ से ज्ञान की गंगा बहती है. एक छोटे से क्लासरूम में तीन-तीन शिक्षकों की आवाज़ एक साथ गूंजती है.
शिक्षक कह रहे हैं कि ये स्कूल 1992 से इसी तरह चल रहा है. सरकार ने नई बिल्डिंग बनाने के लिए पैसे आवंटित किये, लेकिन जमीन का आवंटन नहीं हो पाया, इसलिए फंड वापस लौट गया. यही हाल पटना और दूसरे जिलों के स्कूलों का है. “आज की बात” में 15 सितंबर 2023 को हमने पटना के एक सरकारी स्कूल की तस्वीरें दिखाई थीं. एक ही कमरे में पांच कक्षाओं के बच्चों की पढ़ाई हो रही थी. एक ही ब्लैकबोर्ड को पांच हिस्सों में बांट कर पांच शिक्षक अलग अलग विषय पढ़ा रहे थे. तीन साल पहले जो तस्वीर थी, वही तस्वीर आज भी दिख रही है.
उस वक्त भी बिहार के सरकारी स्कूलों में कमरे नहीं थे, आज भी नहीं हैं. उस वक्त भी सभी कक्षाओं के बच्चे एक साथ बैठकर ज्ञान प्राप्त करते थे, आज भी वही हाल है. उस वक्त भी तबेले में स्कूल चलते थे, आज भी यही हो रहा है. रोहतास के चेनारी इलाके में भैंसों के पास बैठकर बच्चे गणित का ज्ञान लेते हैं. स्कूल के कैंपेस में गाय भैंसें बांधी जाती हैं. एक कमरे में चारा काटने की मशीन है, दूसरे कमरे में गाय भैंसों के लिए भूसा भरा है. दो कमरे बचते हैं जिनमें बच्चों की क्लास लगती है.
इंडिया टीवी की टीम ने पूछा, स्कूल को तबेला किसने बनाया, तो शिक्षकों ने बताया कि गांव के दबंग शख्स ने स्कूल पर कब्जा कर लिया. गांव के सोनू यादव का दावा है कि जिस जमीन पर स्कूल बना है, वो जमीन उसके दादा की थी, सरकार ने बिना किसी समझौते के जमीन पर कब्जा कर स्कूल बनवा दिया. वो कहता है, जमीन उसकी है, इसलिए वो यहां अपनी गाय भैंसे बांधता है. मैं तो बिहार के उन बच्चों की तरीफ करूंगा जो तबेले में बैठकर पढ़ते हैं और बड़ी-बड़ी परीक्षाएं पास कर जाते हैं. लेकिन सरकारी स्कूलों का ये हाल बिहार सरकार के लिए शर्मनाक है.
अगर चालीस साल में सरकार स्कूलों में बच्चों के लिए कक्षाओं का इंतजाम न कर पाए, सरकारी स्कूलों में भैंसे बांधी जाएं तो फिर शिक्षकों की नियुक्ति का क्या फायदा? कितना भी अच्छा सिलेबस बन जाए, कितने भी योग्य शिक्षक रख लिए जाएं, अगर स्कूलों में कमरे नहीं होंगे, तो बच्चे क्या पढ़ेंगे और टीचर्स कैसे पढ़ाएंगे? अगर मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी इस स्थिति को बदल पाये तो उन्हें सर्वोच्च सम्मान मिलना चाहिए.
चुनावी मोड में योगी : युवाओं को नौकरी, महिलाओं को तोहफा
उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने ऐलान किया है कि उनकी सरकार अगले 6 महीने में एक लाख युवाओं को सरकारी नौकरी देगी. योगी लखनऊ में कल 3,446 कृषि तकनीकी सहायकों और 126 मंडी सचिवों को नियुक्ति पत्र दे रहे थे.
योगी सरकार ने कल फैसला किया कि अब यूपी में साठ साल से ज्यादा उम्र की सभी महिलाएं जीवन भर सरकारी बसों में मुफ्त यात्रा कर सकेंगी, उन्हें सरकारी बस में सिर्फ अपना आधार या वोटर कार्ड दिखाना होगा. ये रक्षाबंधन पर यूपी की बहनों को योगी का गिफ्ट है. योगी चुनावी मोड में हैं. वह एक के बाद एक ऐसे एलान कर रहे हैं जिसका अखिलेश यादव के पास कोई जवाब नहीं होगा. अब यूपी के 25 लाख नौजवानों को लैपटॉप देने की तैयारी है. इसके लिए 2,354 करोड़ रु. का बजट रखा है.
योगी ने एक और बड़ा काम किया. प्राथमिक और उच्च प्राथमिक स्कूलों की मरम्मत और पुनर्निर्माण के लिए 604 करोड़ रुपये मंजूर किए. कोशिश है कि बच्चों के लिए जो स्कूल बनाए गए हैं, उनमें बेहतर क्लासरूम बनाए जाएं. योगी ने समय की जरूरत और पब्लिक के मूड को समझा, उसके हिसाब से फैसले लिए.
