हरियाणा में वरिष्ठ IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार की खुदकुशी के 8 दिन बाद बुधवार को उनके शव का अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया गया. उनकी दोनों बेटियों ने पिता को मुखाग्नि दी. हरियाणा के एक्टिंग डीजीपी ओ.पी. सिंह अन्त्येष्टि के समय मौजूद थे. पुलिस की टुकड़ी ने उन्हें अंतिम सलामी दी.
अंतिम संस्कार से पहले पूरन कुमार के शव का पोस्टमार्टम कराने के लिए प्रशासन को कड़ी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी. पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी अमनीत पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति देने को तैयार नहीं थी. उनका कहना था कि जब तक पूर्व डीजीपी शत्रुजीत कपूर और दूसरे अफसरों पर कार्रवाई नहीं होती तब तक वो पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति नहीं देंगी.
सात दिन के इंतजार के बाद पोस्टमार्टम की अनुमति के लिए कोर्ट में पेटिशन फाइल की गई. इस पिटीशन पर सुनवाई होने से ठीक पहले पूरन कुमार की पत्नी का लिखित बयान आया और उन्होंने पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति दे दी.
अमनीत ने कहा कि उन्हें सरकार ने न्यायोचित, पारदर्शी और निष्पक्ष जांच का भरोसा दिया है और उन्हें सरकार और कोर्ट पर भरोसा है.
डॉक्टरों के विशेष पैनल ने बैलेस्टिक एक्सपर्ट और मैजिस्ट्रेट की मौजूदगी में पोस्टमार्टम किया और इसकी वीडियोग्राफी की गई. पोस्टमार्टम के बाद पूरन कुमार का पार्थिव शरीर परिवार को सौंप दिया गया.
पूरन कुमार का अंतिम संस्कार हो गया लेकिन कल पूरन कुमार पर भ्रष्टाचार का आरोप लगाने के बाद खुदकुशी करने वाले सहायक सब इन्सपेक्टर संदीप लाठर के परिवार ने पुलिस को शव सौपने से इंकार कर दिया. परिवार वालों की मांग है कि संदीप लाठर ने जो खुलासे किए हैं, उनकी न्यायिक जांच करायी जाय और आरोपियों की गिरफ्तार किया जाय. ये भी मांग की गई कि संदीप को शहीद का दर्जा दिया जाय.
मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने लाढोत गांव जाकर संदीप के परिवार से मुलाकात की और न्याय का आश्वासन दिया. संदीप कुमार आत्हत्या केस की FIR दर्ज कर ली गई. संदीप की पत्नी संतोष की शिकायत पर पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी अमनीत पी कुमार, उनके साले अमित रत्न, गनमैन सुशील समेत 4 लोगों के खिलाफ आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का केस दर्ज हुआ है.
संदीप लाठर को इंसाफ दिलाने के लिए जाट महासभा आगे आ गई है. खाप पंचायतें भी संदीप को इंसाफ दिलाने के लिए एकजुट हो रही हैं.
जाट महासभा के अध्यक्ष संदीप भाटी ने कहा कि संदीप लाठर के लिए 36 बिरादरियां एक साथ आकर लड़ाई लड़ेंगी और उनकी शहादत को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने देंगी.
IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार दलित थे, इसलिए जब पूरन कुमार ने खुदकुशी की, तो कांग्रेस और दूसरे विरोधी दलों ने दलितों के साथ नाइंसाफी की बात की. ASI संदीप लाठर ने पूरन कुमार को भ्रष्ट अफसर बताकर आत्महत्या कर ली, तो अब वही नेता जाट को इंसाफ दिलाने का नारा लगाने लगे.
जो नेता मंगलवार सुबह तक पूरन कुमार के घर के बाहर खड़े थे, बुधवार को वे सब संदीप लाठर के परिवार से मिलने पहुंच गए. कांग्रेस नेता भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा राहुल गांधी के साथ पूरन कुमार के घर गए थे. बुधवार को भूपेन्द्र हुड्डा संदीप कुमार के घर पहुंचे. संदीप का गांव लाढ़ौत हुड्डा के विधानसभा क्षेत्र में है. यहां जाट समुदाय बहुमत में है.
संदीप के परिवार से मिलने के बाद हुड्डा ने कहा कि उनके परिवार की मांगें पूरी होनी चाहिए, इस केस की न्यायिक जांच होनी चाहिए. जब उनसे पूछा गया कि उनकी पार्टी तो पूरन कुमार के इंसाफ के लिए लड़ रही है तो हुड्डा अटक गए, थोड़ा रुककर उन्होंने कहा कि उनका कहने का मतलब ये है कि पूरे केस की जांच पारदर्शिता के साथ होनी चाहिए.
हुड्डा की तरह अभय चौटाला भी असमंजस में दिखे. दो दिन पहले अभय चौटाला ने पूरन कुमार के लिए इंसाफ की आवाज बुलंद की थी, उनके परिवार से मुलाकात की थी. बुधवार को वह संदीप लाठर के परिवार से मिले.
IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार और ASI संदीप कुमार की दुखद आत्महत्या का मामला अब जातिगत टकराव का रूप ले चुका है. IPS अफसर का परिवार शुरू से ही आत्महत्या को दलित उत्पीड़न का रंग दे रहा है.
जाट महासभा ने कहा कि ASI संदीप के लिए 36 बिरादरियां एक साथ लड़ेंगी. ASI संदीप के परिवार का कहना है कि अगर पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी पोस्ट मार्टम को रोक कर न रखती तो मामला इतना भयानक रूप न लेता और संदीप आत्महत्या न करते.
दो दिन पहले तक हरियाणा में कांग्रेस और INLD दोनों IPS पूरन के परिवार के साथ खड़े थे, बुधवार को भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा और अभय चौटाला ASI संदीप के परिवार के साथ खड़े नजर आए.
IPS और IAS अफसरों में कोई खुलकर नहीं बोलता. लेकिन इन आत्महत्याओं को लेकर IPS और IAS अफसरों में भी सहानुभूति बंटी हुई है. यहां भी जातियों के टकराव का असर दिखाई दे रहा है. इसीलिए मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी के लिए एक तरफ कुआं है और दूसरी तरफ खाई. मुख्यमंत्री की सबसे बड़ी मुसीबत ये है कि उनके अपने ही अफसर एक दूसरे से टकराने में लगे हैं. इसीलिए इन दोनों मामलों में वो एक-एक कदम फूंक-फूंक कर रख रहे हैं.

तिरुपति बालाजी के पैसे की चोरी : पापी को सज़ा मिले

तिरूपति से चौंकाने वाली खबर आई. तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर की देखरेख के लिए ज़िम्मेदार तिरुपति देवस्थानम बोर्ड पर 100 करोड़ रु. के घोटाले का जो आरोप लगा है, उससे जुड़े दस्तावेज पुलिस ने जब्त कर लिए.
TTD बोर्ड के सदस्य जी. भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी ने आरोप लगाया है कि जगनमोहन रेड्डी की सरकार के वक्त तिरुपति बोर्ड में 100 करोड़ रु. से ज़्यादा का हेरफेर हुआ. इस घोटाले में बोर्ड के सदस्यों के साथ जगन मोहन रेड्डी सरकार के मंत्री और विधायक भी शामिल थे.
अप्रैल 2023 में तिरुमला पेड्डा जियांगर मठ के एक क्लर्क सी.वी. रविकुमार को विदेशी मुद्रा वाले दान पात्र से 900 डॉलर चुराते हुए पकड़ा गया था. रविकुमार के ख़िलाफ़ TTD बोर्ड के एक अधिकारी सतीश कुमार ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई. पुलिस ने मामले की जांच की. चार्जशीट भी दाख़िल कर दी लेकिन कोर्ट फैसला सुनाता इससे पहले ही शिकायत करने वाले सतीश कुमार ने मामले को लोक अदालत में निपटाने की अर्ज़ी दी.
इसके बाद लोक अदालत ने केस का निपटारा कर दिया. हैरानी की बात ये है कि इसके बाद रविकुमार और उसकी पत्नी ने तिरुपति और चेन्नई में अपने क़रीब 15 करोड़ क़ीमत के फ्लैट TTD बोर्ड को दान कर दिए.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का कहना है कि ये मामला सिर्फ नौ सौ डॉलर की चोरी का नहीं था. हकीकत ये है कि जब हुंडी को खोला जाता था, कैश की गिनती होती थी, उस वक्त सीसीटीवी कैमरे बंद कर दिए जाते थे, करोड़ों रूपए की चोरी होती थी.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का कहना है कि बहुत से भक्त करोड़ों की संपत्ति भगवान बाला जी के नाम कर देते हैं लेकिन बोर्ड के सदस्यों ने कागजों में हेरफेर करके ये संपत्ति अपने नाम करवा ली.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का दावा है कि रविकुमार ने 15 करोड़ की जो संपत्ति मंदिर को दान की है, असल में वो संपत्ति भक्तों ने ही दी थी जो रविकुमार ने अपने नाम करवा ली थी.
तिरूपति मंदिर में घोटाले का केस हाईकोर्ट पहुंच गया है. हाई कोर्ट ने आंध्र प्रदेश के DGP को इस मामले से जुड़े सारे दस्तावेज़ ज़ब्त करके अदालत में पेश करने का आदेश दिया है.
तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे अमीर मंदिर है. मंदिर के पास 22 हजार करोड़ रुपये जमा है, 1300 करोड़ रुपये तो हर साल ब्याज़ से मिलते हैं.
आप अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं कि बालाजी के दर्शन के लिए जो भक्त आते हैं, वो अपनी श्रद्धा के अनुसार हुंडी में कितना दान करते हैं.
सबसे अच्छी बात ये है कि इस दानराशि का इस्तेमाल charitable hospitals और शिक्षा के काम में किया जाता है. अगर कोई मंदिर के इस धन की चोरी करे तो ये महापाप है. भगवान के घर में सेंध लगाने से बड़ा अधर्म और कुकर्म और क्या हो सकता है? इस पाप में बड़े-बड़े लोग जुड़े हुए हैं. इसीलिए इसकी तह तक पहुंचना खतरनाक काम है.
मैं भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी की तारीफ करूंगा कि उन्होंने खतरा मोल लिया, इस लूट को expose किया. अब कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद अब CID भी active हुई है, और उम्मीद है कि सारा मामला जल्दी ही expose होगा.

The body of senior Haryana IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar was cremated eight days after his suicide. His two daughters performed the funeral rites in the presence of acting DGP O.P. Singh. A police contingent gave him the last salute.
The administration had a tough time persuading Puran Kumar’s widow IAS officer Amneet to allow post mortem of the body. She had demanded action against former DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor and other officers for abetting this suicide.
When the administration approached the court to seek permission for post mortem, Puran Kumar’s widow finally consented. In her statement, she said, the administration has promised her a ‘fair, transparent and impartial’ investigation.
Meanwhile, the family of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Lather, who committed suicide after levelling serious corruption charges against Puran Kumar, finally consented for a post-mortem after Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini went to their village and assured the family of ensuring justice.
The family is demanding martyr status for the ASI, who belongs to the Jat community. The chief of Jat Mahasabha Sandeep Bhati has said, 36 biradaris of Jat community will fight for justice and for reforming the police system.
Congress leaders who had gone to meet Dalit IPS officer Puran Kumar’s family a day before, went to ASI Sandeep Lather’s village on Wednesday to console the family. Former CM Bhupinder Hooda demanded that the entire matter be investigated transparently to bring out the whole truth.
The double suicide of IPS officer Puran Kumar and ASI Sandeep Lather is gradually taking the shape of a caste confrontation.
Puran Kumar’s family had been alleging from Day One that the suicide was a result of caste-based harassment. On the other hand, the Jat Mahasabha leaders say, the charges levelled by ASI Sandeep Lather must be investigated and truth must come out.
Jat community leaders say, the matter would not have gone out of control had Puran Kumar’s IAS wife not stopped the post-mortem of her husband’s body and Sandeep would not have committed suicide.
Two days ago, Congress and INLD leaders were seen supporting Puran Kumar’s family, but a day later, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and INLD leader Abhay Chautala, realising caste sensitivities, stood with Sandeep’s family.
Officers of IPS and IAS are not speaking out openly because of Rules of Business for Civil Services, but the two suicides have divided sympathy among the IPS and IAS officers. Here too, a caste divide is clearly emerging.
For Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, he is caught between the devil and the deep sea. His main worry is, his own officers are now on a confrontation course. This is the reason why the Chief Minister is being extremely careful while dealing with this issue.

Stealing Tirupati Lord’s money : A grave sin

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board is facing serious charges relating to an alleged Rs 100 crore scam linked to theft of donations received at the world famous Tirumala Lord Venkateswara temple. Andhra Pradesh DGP (CID) Ravishankar Ayyanar on Tuesday seized documents relating to alleged swindling of foreign currency notes offered to the ‘Hundi’ in the form of donations by devotees at the Tirupati temple.
The seizure took place a day after the High Court pulled up the police over “slack and indifferent” handling of the probe and failure in timely securing vital evidence.
The controversy dates back to April, 2023, when C.V. Ravikumar, a clerk attached to Pedda Jeeyar Mutt, was caught stealing 900 US dollars from the hundi (donation box). A TTD official Satish Kumar lodged a complaint, police investigated and filed a charge sheet. But before a court could give its verdict, Satish Kumar filed a petition in a Lok Adalat for disposing of the case.
The surprising part was, Ravikumar and his wife donated their flats worth Rs 15 crore in Chennai and Tirupati, to the TTD board, and the case was closed by the Lok Adalat.
TTD board member G. Bhanu Prakash Reddy alleged that the swindle took place during former CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s tenure. He alleged that some ministers and MLAs of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party were involved in the swindle.
Bhanu Prakash Reddy alleges, it was not a matter of theft of USD 900 only. The reality was, whenever the ‘hundi’ was opened for counting cash, cctv cameras were closed, and crores of rupees worth currencies were swindled.
Reddy alleges, the properties worth Rs 15 crore that were ‘donated’ by C.V.Ravikumar to the temple, were the ones that were donated by devotees to the temple, which Ravikumar had registered in his name.
Now since the matter has reached the AP High Court, police has swung into action. The High Court has directed that all seized documents be produced in court.
Tirumala Lord Venkateswara shrine is the world’s second richest temple of the world. It has deposits running into Rs 22,000 crore and it collects interest amounting to Rs 1300 crore annually. You can well imagine the amount of donations that lakhs of devotees offer to the Lord.
The best part is, most of the donated amount goes to running charitable hospitals and educational institutions. Stealing donation is nothing short of a grave sin. What bigger sin can it be if people start swindling the money that is donated to the Lord?
Since there is allegation that there are some top people involved in this swindle, the matter needs to be probed in depth. It is a risky job.
I would like to praise Bhanu Prakash Reddy who took on this risk and exposed the swindle. Now that the CID is active, one should hope that the swindlers will be exposed soon.

पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए आज़म शहबाज़ शरीफ़ ने मिस्र के शर्म अल-शेख़ में वो कारनामा किया जिसकी वजह से हर पाकिस्तानी शर्मसार है. पूरी दुनिया में शहबाज़ शरीफ़ और पाकिस्तान का मज़ाक़ बन रहा है. सोशल मीडिया पर X से लेकर Facebook पर पाकिस्तानी अपने प्रधानमंत्री को कोस रहे हैं, गालियां दे रहे हैं, अपना सिर पीट रहे हैं कि आख़िर उनके मुल्क को ऐसा वज़ीर-ए-आज़म क्यों मिला.

शर्म अल-शेख़ में ग़ज़ा शांति शिखर बैठक हो रही थी, शहबाज शरीफ भी हाथ बांधे ट्रंप के बिल्कुल पीछे खड़े थे. ट्रंप ने आदत के मुताबिक़ अपनी शेखी बघारी. कहा, उन्होंने आठ महीने में आठ युद्ध रुकवा दिए, ये कारनामा दुनिया में कोई नहीं कर पाया. अमेरिका के अब तक के किसी राष्ट्रपति ने शांति के लिए इतना काम नहीं किया.

इसी दौरान ट्रंप ने भारत, पाकिस्तान की बात की. ट्रंप ने अपने भाषण में पहले भारत की तारीफ़ की, फिर ceasefire की पुरानी कहानी सुनाने लगे. फिर ट्रंप ने पीछे खड़े शहबाज़ से पूछा कि वो भारत के साथ ठीक से रहेंगे या नहीं. शहबाज शरीफ मुस्कुरा कर सिर हिलाते रहे और ट्रंप भी उनकी लाचारी पर हंस पड़े.

इसके बाद ट्रंप ने शहबाज़ शरीफ़ की और बेइज़्ज़ती की. ट्रंप ने कहा कि आसिम मुनीर उनकी नज़र में best field marshal हैं और शहबाज़ शरीफ की तरफ देखकर कहा कि आसिम मुनीर तो यहां नहीं हैं, पाकिस्तान के प्राइम मिनिस्टर हैं, इसलिए उन्हीं के लिए ताली बजाइए.

इतना कहने के बाद ट्रंप ने शहबाज शरीफ से कहा कि आप पूरी दुनिया को बताइए कि समिट के दौरान क्या कहा था. शहबाज शरीफ इस तरह भाषण के लिए तैयार नहीं थे लेकिन ट्रंप ने उन्हें आगे बुला लिया.

शहबाज शरीफ ने माइक संभाला और जो कहा, जो किया, उससे ट्रंप तो गदगद् हो गए लेकिन शर्म अल-शेख़ में मौजूद यूरोप और अरब देशों के नेता हैरान रह गए.

पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति की तारीफ़ में क़सीदे पढ़ रहे थे. उस समय इटली की प्रधानमंत्री जॉर्जिया मेलोनी उनके ठीक पीछे खड़ी थीं. शहबाज़ जिस क़दर ट्रंप की चापलूसी में हर हद पार कर रहे थे, उसको सुनने के बाद जॉर्जिया मेलोनी का चेहरा देखने लायक़ था.

अपने वज़ीर-ए-आज़म की इस करतूत से पाकिस्तान की अवाम बेहद नाराज़ है. पाकिस्तान के लोग कह रहे हैं कि शहबाज़ शरीफ़ तो बूट पॉलिश करने वाले हैं, वज़ीर-ए-आज़म के ओहदे के लायक़ नहीं हैं. शहबाज शरीफ ने सारी शराफत छोड़कर पूरी दुनिया के सामने पाकिस्तान की नाक कटवा दी.

पाकिस्तान के सबसे पुराने अंग्रेज़ी अख़बार Dawn ने लिखा कि शहबाज़ ने डिप्लोमैसी को चापलूसी में तब्दील कर दिया है, विदेश नीति को बूट पॉलिश बना दिया है, शहबाज़ ने जो कुछ किया, उससे साफ़ है कि उनकी कोई औक़ात नहीं है, वो बस नाम के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म हैं और उनका काम महफिल में जोकर का रोल अदा करना है.

पाकिस्तान के लोग कह रहे हैं कि ट्रंप ने अपने फायदे के लिए शहबाज़ शरीफ और आसिम मुनीर का इस्तेमाल किया, लेकिन क्या इसके लिए खुद शहबाज़ और मुनीर जिम्मेदार नहीं हैं? पाकिस्तान के हुक्मरान इस कदर लाचार हैं कि ट्रंप ने ज़रा-सा सहारा दिया, तो वो उनसे चिपक गए, न तो चापलूसी करने में कोई कमी रखी, न पाकिस्तान को बेचने में.

जब एक मुल्क के वज़ीरे आज़म और आर्मी चीफ किसी के पैरों में गिर जाएं, तो उनका इस्तेमाल करने वाले का क्या कसूर? शहबाज़ और मुनीर ने अपने फायदे के लिए पाकिस्तान के आत्म सम्मान को गिरवी रख दिया और ये काम उन्होंने निहायत बेशर्मी से, सरेआम, खुल्लम-खुल्ला किया. अब अगर दुनिया उनका मजाक बना रही है तो इसमें दुनिया का क्या कसूर?

हरियाणा पुलिस : IPS और ASI की आत्महत्या एक जैसी कैसे?

हरियाणा पुलिस के IPS अफसर वाई. पूरन कुमार के सुसाइड केस में एक चौंकाने वाला ट्विस्ट आया. पूरन कुमार के खिलाफ जबरन बसूली केस की जांच टीम में शामिल ASI संदीप कुमार लाठर ने आत्महत्या कर ली.

संदीप लाठर रोहतक पुलिस की साइबर सेल में तैनात थे. सुसाइड से पहले उन्होंने छह मिनट का एक वीडियो बनाया, चार पन्नों का एक सुसाइड नोट भी लिखा जिसमें उन्होंने कहा कि पूरन कुमार भ्रष्ट अफसर थे, रोहतक रेंज का IG बनने के बाद पूरन कुमार ने अपनी जाति के भ्रष्ट पुलिस वालों को IG ऑफिस में तैनात किया, इसके बाद वसूली का धंधा शुरू कर दिया.

संदीप लाठर ने आरोप लगाया कि पूरन कुमार अपने गनमैन सुशील कुमार को भेज कर व्यापारियों और आम लोगों से वसूली करते थे. व्यापारियों को ऑफिस में बुलाकर टॉर्चर करते थे, हर महीने पैसे पहुंचाने का दबाव बनाते थे, महिला पुलिस अफसरों को ट्रांसफर की धमकी देकर उनका शारीरिक शोषण करते थे.

आत्महत्या करने से पहले संदीप कुमार ने कहा कि पूरन कुमार ने अपने सुसाइड नोट में DGP शत्रुजीत कपूर और रोहतक के SP नरेन्द्र बिजारणिया पर आरोप लगाए हैं लेकिन हकीकत ये है कि ये दोनों ईमानदार अफसर हैं, दोनों ने पूरन कुमार के करप्शन के खिलाफ एक्शन शुरू किया था, मुख्यमंत्री तक बात पहुंची तो पूरन कुमार का ट्रांसफर किया गया.

संदीप लाठर ने सुसाइड से पहले अपने वीडियो बयान में कहा कि उन्होंने IG पूरन कुमार के गनमैन सुशील और ड्राइवर धर्मेन्द्र को रिश्वत की रकम के साथ रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार किया था, गनमैन ने पुलिस को दिए बयान में माना कि ये पैसा पूरन कुमार का है.

संदीप कुमार ने दावा किया कि पूरन कुमार के पाप का घड़ा भर चुका था, उसे मालूम था कि अब उसे गिरफ्तार किया जा सकता है, इसीलिए उसने अपने परिवार को बचाने के लिए सुसाइड किया और इसे जातिवाद का रंग देने की कोशिश की.

संदीप लाठर ने कहा कि पूरन कुमार की पत्नी IAS अफसर हैं, तमाम भ्रष्ट अफसर इस परिवार के साथ हैं, इसलिए इस मामले में सच्चाई का बाहर आना आसान नहीं हैं, इसमें कई लोगों की कुर्बानी हो सकती है, और पहली आहुति वो खुद दे रहे हैं.

संदीप कुमार ने मांग की कि पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी और उनके पूरे परिवार की संपत्ति की जांच होनी चाहिए, तभी सारी हकीकत सामने आएगी. संदीप ने कहा कि वो अपनी कुर्बानी इसलिए दे रहे है ताकि पूरन कुमार की हकीकत सामने आए, सच की जीत हो.

मंगलवार को कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने चंडीगढ़ जा कर पूरन कुमार के परिवार से मुलाकात की. उनके साथ भूपेंद्र हुड्डा, दीपेंद्र हुड्डा और कुमारी शैलजा थे. राहुल ने मांग की कि सरकार खुदकुशी के लिए ज़िम्मेवार आरोपी अफसरों को तुरंत गिरफ्तार करे.

पूरन कुमार की आत्महत्या का मामला जितना चौंकाने वाला था, उतना ही दुखद ASI संदीप कुमार की आत्महत्या का है.

अब तक जो बातें सामने आई हैं, उनके मुताबिक, पूरन कुमार पर पैसे उगाही का केस था. ASI संदीप उसकी जांच करने वालों में थे. पूरन कुमार की छवि पर सवाल उठ रहे थे, पर संदीप कुमार के बारे में कहा जा रहा है कि वो एक मेहनती और ईमानदार पुलिसवाले थे.

ASI संदीप ने अपने video में जो कुछ बातें कही हैं उससे कई सवाल उठते हैं. एक तो ये कि पूरन कुमार खुद IPS अफसर थे, पुलिस में ताकतवर ओहदे पर थे, उनकी पत्नी IAS अफसर हैं और उनका साला MLA. इतना ताकतवर परिवार हो, तो फिर उनका harassment कैसे हुआ?

और अगर खुदकुशी की वजह harassment नहीं थी, तो क्या थी? ASI संदीप का दावा है कि पूरन कुमार और उनका परिवार भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में फंसने वाला था, उन्हें बचाने के लिए पूरन कुमार ने आत्महत्या की.

सबसे बड़ी बात ASI संदीप ने कही है कि पूरन कुमार की खुदकुशी के बाद उनके परिवार ने अपने आप को बचाने के लिए इस पूरे मामले को जातिवाद का रंग दे दिया. ये बात दिखाई भी दी. जाति के कारण पूरन कुमार के परिवार को राजनीतिक समर्थन मिला, बड़े-बड़े नेता उनके घर गए, पुलिस के बड़े अफसरों को उनके पद से हटा दिया गया.

ASI संदीप के बयान से लगता है कि ये सब बातें उसकी आत्महत्या का कारण बनीं. असलियत तो इस मामले की गहन जांच के बाद ही सामने आएगी. अभी तो सिर्फ perception है. लेकिन कारण जो भी हो, पुलिस में जिम्मेदार ओहदों पर बैठे दो लोग आत्महत्या करने पर मजबूर हो जाएं, ये पूरे system पर सवाल खड़े करता है.

The social media was flooded with memes and posts mocking Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after he flattered US President Donald Trump with effusive praise at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
With Trump standing by his side, grinning, Shehbaz Sharif said: “Today is one of the greatest days in contemporary history because peace has been achieved after untiring efforts led by President Trump, who is genuinely a man of peace.”
Shehbaz Sharif went on to credit Trump for preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, declaring that “had it not been for this gentleman, the war could have escalated to a level where no one would have lived to tell what happened.”
Shehbaz Sharif said: “And today again, I would like to nominate this great president for Nobel Peace Prize because I genuinely feel that he is the most genuine and most wonderful candidate for Peace Prize, because he has brought not only peace in South Asia, saved millions of people, and today, here in Sharm-el-Sheikh, achieving peace in Gaza, is saving millions of lives in the Middle East.”
After Sharif spoke, Trump responded saying: “Wow! I didn’t expect that. Let’s go home — there’s nothing more I have to say.”
Trump, on his part, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying: “India is a great country with a very good friend of mine at the top and he’s just done a fantastic job. I think Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together.” Saying this, Trump chuckled and looked at Shehbaz Sharif who was standing behind him, smiling meekly.
Shehbaz Sharif was soon trending on X and Facebook with many Pakistanis abusing their PM for “bootlicking” and saying that he does not deserve to remain the Prime Minister.
Mainstream Pakistani media published editorials criticizing Shehbaz Sharif. The oldest Pakistani English daily newspaper Dawn criticized Shehbaz for converting diplomacy into flattery and foreign policy into boot polishing.
People in Pakistan say, Trump used Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for his own benefit. But the question is: Are not Shehbaz and Asim Munir responsible?
The rulers of Pakistan have become so weak that they clinged to Trump when he gave them some hope. Both of them did not leave any stone unturned to flatter him, nor did they desist from selling Pakistan’s self-respect.
When the Prime Minister and Army Chief of a country fall at the feet of a foreign leader, how can one blame the person who gets flattered?
The moot point is: Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir have mortgaged the self-respect of Pakistan for their own benefits. They did this openly in a brazen and shameless manner. If the entire world now makes fun of Pakistan, how can anybody blame the world?

Mysterious similarities in Haryana IPS and ASI suicides

The double suicide case in Haryana Police is getting curiouser and curiouser.
In a shocking twist, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Lather, investigating the suicide case of senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, committed suicide on Tuesday, not before writing a four-page suicide note and making a six-minute video in which he levelled charges of corruption against the dead IPS officer.
Sandeep Lather was posted in the cyber cell of Haryana Police in Rohtak.
In his suicide note, he alleged that Y. Puran Kumar was corrupt and after becoming Inspector General of Rohtak Range, he posted corrupt policemen belonging to his caste in the IG office.
He also alleged that Puran Kumar began extorting money from traders using his gunman Sushil Kumar. He also alleged that women police officers were sexually exploited after giving threats of transfer.
Lather alleged that he had caught Puran Kumar’s gunman Sushil and driver Dharmendra red-handed while extorting bribes, and the gunman had admitted that the money was meant for IG Puran Kumar.
ASI Sandeep Kumar’s family members have demanded that Puran Kumar’s IAS officer wife Amneet be arrested.
On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, along with his party leaders Bhupinder Hooda and others went to Puran Kumar’s house and consoled his family members. Later, Rahul Gandhi demanded that the government must take action and arrest those who abetted this suicide. Lok Jan Shakti Party leader Chirag Paswan also met Amneet Kumar and promised justice would be ensured.
The suicide of Puran Kumar is shocking, and the suicide of ASI Sandeep Kumar is sad. Facts that have emerged in public domain so far clearly show that there was a corruption case against Puran Kumar, and ASI Sandeep was one of the investigators.
Questions are being raised about Puran Kumar’s image as a senior police officer, while Sandeep Kumar is known as an honest and hardworking policeman. The allegations made by ASI Sandeep in his video raises several questions.
One, Puran Kumar was a senior IPS officer, he was in a top position, his wife an IAS officer, his brother-in-law an MLA. Why did he face harassment if this family was so powerful? If harassment was not the reason for suicide, then what was the real cause?
Two, ASI Sandeep said, Puran Kumar and his family were going to be nailed in a corruption case, and to save his family, Puran Kumar committed suicide.
The most significant point raised by Sandeep Kumar is, Puran Kumar gave the entire case a caste colour. Because of his caste, IPS officer Puran Kumar got political support from different parties, top leaders visited his house and top police officers were shunted.
Truth will emerge only after a thorough investigation. For the time being, this is only a perception, whatever may be the reason. When two policemen in important positions commit suicide, it raises questions about the entire system.

लाख कोशिश के बावजूद अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डॉनल्ड ट्रंप को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार नहीं मिला. इस पर इजराइल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू ने कहा कि नोबेल कमेटी शांति की सिर्फ बातें करती है लेकिन ट्रंप शांति स्थापित कराते हैं. नेतन्याहू ने कहा कि अगर तथ्यों पर जाएं तो ट्रंप नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के लिए योग्य पात्र हैं.
जैसे ही नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के विजेता के नाम का ऐलान हुआ, उसके तुरंत बाद व्हाइट हाउस ने नाराजगी जाहिर की. व्हाइट हाउस के कम्युनिकेशन इंचार्ज ने कहा कि ट्रंप को भले ही नोबेल न दिया गया हो लेकिन इससे ट्रंप के शांति मिशन में कोई कमी नहीं आएगी, ट्रंप दुनिया में शान्ति के लिए, युद्ध और हिंसा को खत्म कराने की कोशिश करते रहेंगे.
व्हाइट हाउस ने कहा कि ट्रंप बड़े दिल वाले और चट्टानी इरादों वाले नेता है, उन्होंने आठ युद्ध रुकवाए, ये पूरी दुनिया जानती है,इसलिए नोबेल मिले न मिले, इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता.
इस साल का नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार ट्रंप की बहुत बड़ी फैन और वेनेजुएला में विपक्ष की नेता मारिया कोरीना मशादो को दिया गया है. मारिया ने वेनेजुएला में लोकतन्त्र की स्थापना के लिए लंबी लड़ाई लड़ी और इसके लिए उन्हें ट्रंप का पूरा समर्थन मिला. मारिया भी चाहती थीं कि ट्रंप को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार मिले लेकिन कमेटी ने ट्रंप के नाम पर विचार ही नहीं किया.
शनिवार को ट्रंप ने कहा कि मारिया ने उन्हें फोन करके कहा कि पुरस्कार के वही हक़दार हैं और ये पुरस्कार एक तरह से ट्रंप का ही सम्मान है.
जिसे नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार मिला, उससे ज्यादा चर्चा उसकी हो रही है जिसे ये पुरस्कार नहीं मिला. उसकी वजह जानना और समझना तो बनता है.
ये सब जानते हैं कि ट्रंप ने सौ-सौ बार कहा कि उन्होंने आठ युद्ध रुकवाए. उन्होंने सौ-सौ बार कहा कि वह नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के हक़दार हैं. इस तरह का दावा और इतनी बार दावा नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के इतिहास में कभी किसी ने नहीं किया. तो भी ट्रंप को पुरस्कार क्यों नहीं मिला ?
पाकिस्तान और इस्राइल जैसे मुल्कों ने ट्रंप के लिए खूब जोर लगाया लेकिन शायद नोबेल पुरस्कार कमेटी को लगा कि ट्रंप ने जरूरत से ज्यादा दबाव बना दिया. अगर उन्हें ये पुरस्कार दिया जाता तो लगता कि कमेटी उनके दबाव में आ गई.
हालांकि ट्रंप की जो ताकत है, अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति के पद का जो रुतबा है, उसे देखते हुए ट्रंप के लिए नोबेल पुरस्कार कोई बड़ी चीज नहीं है. ट्रंप ने नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के लिए इतनी ललक दिखाकर इसे इतना बड़ा बना दिया. मारिया का नाम पूरी दुनिया में इसीलिए छा गया कि लोगों को लगा कि मारिया ने ट्रंप को पछाड़ दिया. नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार न मिलने से ट्रंप के अहं को भले ही चोट पहुंची हो , पर न उनका मिजाज बदलेगा, न उनके तेवर बदलेंगे.

पाकिस्तान ने काबुल पर हमला क्यों किया ?

गज़ा शांति प्लान को लेकर पाकिस्तान में जबरदस्त हंगामा हो रहा है. पाकिस्तान की हुकूमत और आर्मी चीफ आसिम मुनीर ने ट्रंप के गजा पीस प्लान का न केवल समर्थन किया, बल्कि इस्लामिक मुल्कों का समर्थन हासिल करने में ट्रंप की मदद की थी. इससे पाकिस्तान में जबरदस्त नाराजगी है.
तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के कार्यकर्ताओं ने शुक्रवार को लाहोर और इस्लामाबाद में प्रोटेस्ट किया. शहबाज शरीफ की पुलिस ने आंसू गैस छोड़ी, फिर फायरिंग की और हैडग्रेनेड तक फेंके. तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक ने लाहौर से इस्लामाबाद तक मार्च निकालने और अमेरिकी दूतावास के घेराव का एलान किया था लेकिन पुलिस ने प्रदर्शनकारियों को रोक दिया. इस्लामाबाद और रावलपिंडी में इंटरनेट सेवाओं को सस्पेंड कर दिया. इस्लामाबाद, रावलपिंडी, पेशावर और लाहौर के एंट्री और एग्जिट प्वॉइंट्स पर कंटेनर्स लगाकर सड़कों को बंद कर दिया. तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के लाहौर के सेंटर रहमत अली मस्जिद को पुलिस ने चारों तरफ से घेर लिया. जैसे ही प्रदर्शनकारियों मस्जिद से बाहर निकले तो पहले पुलिस ने लाठियां चलाईं और फायरिंग शुरू कर दी.
तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के नेताओं ने कहा कि शहबाज शरीफ की हुकूमत और पाकिस्तान की फौज अमेरिका के हुक्म पर इस्राइल की जी हुजूरी कर रही है, इसे पाकिस्तान की आवाम कभी बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगी.
पाकिस्तान की जनता की भावनाएं पूरी तरह फिलिस्तीन के साथ है. उन्हें लगता है कि शहबाज और मुनीर ने अमेरिका की जी हुजूरी करने के लिए इजरायल का साथ दिया. .इसीलिए लाखों लोग सड़कों पर उतर आए हैं. इन लोगों को ना तो पुलिस की लाठियों का डर है ना गोलियों का. मस्जिदों से ऐलान किए जा रहे हैं, मौलाना तकरीर कर रहे हैं, पाकिस्तान के मुसलमानों से फिलिस्तीन के हक के लिए आवाज उठाने की अपील की जा रही है. शहबाज की हुकूमत और मुनीर की फौज को ये सौदा महंगा पड़ेगा.
पाकिस्तान ने आवाम का ध्यान भटकाने के लिए नई चाल चली. पाकिस्तानी एय़र फोर्स ने अफगानिस्तान की राजधानी काबुल में मिसाइल्स से हमला कर दिया.
पाकिस्तानी फौज का दावा है कि पाकिस्तान में आंतकवादी हमले करने वाले तहरीक-ए-तालिबान के दहशतगर्द काबुल में छुपे हैं. इसलिए काबुल में तहरीक-ए-तालिबान के अड्डों को निशाना बनाया गया.
पाकिस्तानी वायु सेना ने दावा किया कि पाकिस्तान के फाइटर जैट्स ने काबुल में छुपे तहरीक-ए-तालिबान पाकिस्तान के चीफ नूर वली महसूद को निशाना बनाया. पाकिस्तानी अखबार डॉन ने अफगान अधिकारियों के हवाले से बताया कि अब्दुल हक चौराहे के पास एक लैंड क्रूजर कार को निशाना बनाया गया. कहा जा रहा है कि इसी लैंड क्रूज़र में नूर वली महसूद था. लेकिन कुछ ही देर के बाद नूर वली महसूद की आवाज में एक ऑडियो टेप जारी किया गया जिसमें महसूद दावा कर रहा है कि वो ज़िंदा और सही सलामत है.
पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाज़ा आसिफ ने संसद में कहा कि अफगानिस्तान की सरकार अब पाकिस्तान के साथ गद्दारी कर रही है. ख्वाज़ा आसिफ ने कहा कि जो अफगान शरणार्थी तीन पीढियों से पाकिस्तान में रह रहे हैं, वो भी पाकिस्तान के साथ नमक हरामी कर रहे हैं, इसलिए अब पाकिस्तान ऐसे लोगों को बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा.
गौर करने वाली बात ये है कि पाकिस्तान ने अफगानिस्तान पर एयर स्ट्राइक ऐसे वक्त पर की, जब अफगानिस्तान के विदेश मंत्री आमिर खान मुत्ताकी भारत में हैं. चार साल पहले अफगानिस्तान में तालिबान के सत्ता में आने के बाद उसके किसी मंत्री का ये पहला भारत दौरा है.. शहबाज शरीफ की सरकार अफगानिस्तान से बुरी तरह चिढ़ी हुई है और अपनी नाराजगी जाहिर करने के लिए पाकिस्तान ने अफगानिस्तान पर एयर स्ट्राइक की.
बुरी तरह बौखलाए पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाज़ा आसिफ ने एक टीवी इंटरव्यू में कहा कि ये अफगानी पाकिस्तान के साथ कभी थे ही नहीं, वो हमेशा से भारत के वफादार रहे हैं.
जब दिल्ली में अफगानिस्तान के विदेश मंत्री आमिर खान मुत्ताकी से इसके बारे में पूछा गया तो उन्होंने कहा कि अफगानिस्तान हर मुद्दे का बातचीत से हल चाहता है, वो तनाव नहीं बढ़ाना चाहता. लेकिन मुत्ताकी ने पाकिस्तान को चेतावनी भी दी. उन्होंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान की सरकार अफगानिस्तान को हल्के में लेने की गलती न करे, अगर किसी ने अफगानिस्तान को छेड़ा तो उसे छोड़ेंगे नहीं, पाकिस्तान याद करे कि इससे पहले सोवियत संघ और अमेरिका का क्या हश्र हुआ.

Hours after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Machado, US President Donald Trump told reporters in the White House that Machado called him and told him, ‘I am accepting this in honour of you, because you really deserved it’.”
Trump said, “I didn’t say, ‘Give it to me’, though. I think she might have…I’ve been helping her along the way. They needed a lot of help in Venezuela during the disaster. I am happy because I saved millions of lives.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benzamin Netanyahu said, Trump “deserved it”. He posted an AI image of Trump winning the Nobel Peace prize.
White House communications director Stephen Cheung said, “The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace”.
For the last five months, Trump was pitching for himself by claiming that he stopped eight conflicts. This week, he announced the Gaza peace plan, and both Hamas and Israel have accepted phase one of this plan. But the Nobel Committee dashed his hopes.
The world is discussing not about the new Nobel Peace Prize winner but about the person who lost out. It is a fact that Trump said umpteen number of times that he stopped eight wars and deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. No other person in the history of Nobel Peace Prize had ever made such a pitch.
They why did Trump lose out? Countries like Pakistan and Israel tried their best to lobby in favour of Trump. Had the Nobel Prize Committee given the prize to Trump, there would have been an outcry about the committee bowing to international pressure.
For Trump, who is the President of the United States, Nobel Peace Prize is not a great thing given his power and position. Maria Machado became a household name because she trumped Trump in the prize stake.
By losing out on the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump’s ego may have been hurt, but his mood and temperament will remain the same.

Why did Pakistan attack Kabul ?

Pakistan continues to be on the boil over the Shehbaz-Munir duo advocating the Gaza peace plan. There were protests again after Friday prayers in Lahore and Islamabad.
Tehreek-e-Labbaiq Pakistan (TLP) protesters faced police firing and teargas as security forces stopped them from marching to Islamabad to ‘gherao’ the US embassy.
Internet services were suspended in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and huge containers were put on entry and exit points of Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The overall sentiment of the people of Pakistan is with Palestine and they feel that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief Asim Munir surrendered to the US for cheap gains. Shehbaz’s government and Munir’s army may face a tough situation if the protests continue.
To divert people’s attention, Pakistan Air Force attacked Kabul with missiles to claim that they have targeted the leader of TTP (Tehreek Taliban Pakistan) Noor Wali Mehsud. A Land Cruiser vehicle was bombed, but soon afterwards an audio tape of Mehsud surfaced in which he claimed that he is alive and safe.
Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told Parliament that the Taliban government of Afghanistan has betrayed Pakistan. He said, Pakistan provided shelter to three generations of Afghan refugees but they have now done ‘namak haraami’ (betrayal). Pakistan will not tolerate Afghans, Asif said.
At the same time, Afghan Taliban foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi was holding official talks with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in Delhi. This was the first visit by an Afghan minister after Taliban captured power four years ago.
Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, out of pique, told a news channel that Afghans had always been loyal to India and they never supported Pakistan.
In Delhi, Amir Khan Muttaqi said, his government does not want tension to increase and all problems should be solved peacefully. In the same breath, he warned Pakistan not to make a mistake by attacking Afghanistan. He reminded Pakistan about past history when the Soviet Union and the US occupied Afghanistan.
India will be giving 12 ambulances to Afghanistan, and the keys of five such ambulances were handed over to the Afghan foreign minister on Friday. India has promised more humanitarian assistance. Muttaqi said, Afghanistan will never allow its soil to be used against India.

बिहार में बीजेपी के नेताओं ने चिराग पासवान को मना लिया. NDA में सीटों के बंटवारे की बात करीब करीब फाइनल हो गई है. अगले हफ्ते सभी पार्टियां एकसाथ बैठकर इसका ऐलान करेंगी.
महागठबंधन में सीटों का बंटवारा तो नहीं हो पाया है, हालांकि खबर ये है कि कांग्रेस को 12 सीटें कम लड़ने पर मना लिया जाएगा.
तेजस्वी यादव ने एक बड़ा चुनावी दांव चला, ऐलान किया कि अगर महागठबंधन की सरकार बनी तो शपथ लेने के बीस दिन के भीतर कानून बनाकर बिहार के हर परिवार को एक सरकारी नौकरी देंगे.
कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने हां में हां मिलाई, कहा कि सारा गुणा गणित करने के बाद ये फैसला हुआ है, रोडमैप तैयार है. बस नतीजा आने की देर है, बिहार में सरकारी नौकरियों की बरसात होगी.
प्रशान्त किशोर ने कहा कि इस तरह का वादा करने वाले तेजस्वी या तो खुद मूर्ख हैं या फिर बिहार के लोगों को मूर्ख समझते हैं.
इधर खबर है कि चिराग पासवान को 24 से 26 सीटें मिल सकती है. पूरी स्थिति जल्द साफ हो जाएगी. सीटों के बंटवारे का झंझट प्रशान्त किशोर के साथ नहीं हैं. प्रशान्त किशोर की पार्टी अकेले चुनाव लड़ रही है. सभी 243 सीटों पर उम्मीदवार उतारेंगे. गुरुवार को उन्होंने 51 उम्मीदवारों की पहली लिस्ट जारी कर दी.
पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री RCP सिंह की बेटी लता सिंह अस्थावां सीट से लड़ेंगी, समस्तीपुर की मोरवा सीट से कर्पूरी ठाकुर की पोती जागृति ठाकुर उम्मीदवार हैं. इनके अलावा करगहर से भोजपुरी गायक रितेश पांडे को टिकट मिला है.
नोट करने वाली बात ये है कि प्रशान्त किशोर भले ही बिहार से जाति धर्म की राजनीति को खत्म करने का दावा करते हों लेकिन चुनाव में उन्हें भी जातिगत समीकरणों का ख्याल रखना पड़ा. पार्टी के 51 उम्मीदवारों में सबसे ज्यादा अति पिछड़ा वर्ग के 17, पिछड़े वर्ग से 11, SC-ST वर्ग से 7 और 9 मुसलमानों को टिकट दिए गए हैं. सामान्य वर्ग के सिर्फ 7 उम्मीदवार मैदान में उतारे गए हैं.
उधर, तेजस्वी ने एलान किया कि अगर बिहार में उनकी सरकार बनती है, तो हर घर से एक व्यक्ति को सरकारी नौकरी देंगे, सरकार बनने के 20 दिनों के भीतर कानून बनाया जाएगा और 20 महीने के अंदर हर परिवार को सरकारी नौकरी दी जाएगी.
तेजस्वी यादव के हर परिवार को नौकरी देने के वादे पर किसी को अचरज नहीं होना चाहिए. चुनाव के मौके पर ऐसे वादे तो होते हैं लेकिन बीजेपी का ये सवाल भी सही है कि बिहार में दो करोड़ 70 लाख परिवार हैं. हर परिवार के एक सदस्य को नौकरी कैसे दी जा सकती है ?
लेकिन इस समय सारी पार्टियों का मुख्य फोकस उम्मीदवार चुनने पर है और NDA और महागठबंधन दोनों को साथी दलों को मनाने में काफी पापड़ बेलने पड़ रहे हैं.
चिराग पासवान को मनाने में बीजेपी के नेताओं को काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी. पिछली बार चिराग ने नीतीश कुमार को भारी नुकसान पहुंचाया था. उनकी वजह से बीजेपी को JDU के मुकाबले कहीं ज्यादा सीटें मिली थीं लेकिन बीजेपी इस बार ऐसा नहीं होने देगी.
इसी तरह कांग्रेस को कम सीटों पर मनाने में तेजस्वी के पसीने छूट गए. लगता है कि कांग्रेस पिछली बार से 12 सीटें कम पर मान जाएगी. पिछली बार कांग्रेस 70 में से सिर्फ 19 सीटें जीत पाई थी. इसका नुकसान तेजस्वी के गठबंधन को हुआ था.
प्रशांत किशोर मज़े में हैं. उन्होंने अपनी जो सूची जारी की है, उसमें गायक, गणितज्ञ और कर्पूरी ठाकुर और RCP सिंह के परिवार के लोग हैं. प्रशांत किशोर के उम्मीदवार परंपरागत प्रत्याशिय़ों से थोड़े अलग हैं. इसका उन्हें फायदा मिल सकता है.

मायावती : बहुत दम है BSP में

लंबे वक्त के बाद आज मायावती सार्वजनिक तौर पर नजर आईं. लखनऊ में मायावती ने एक बार फिर अपनी पार्टी की ताकत दिखाई. बीएसपी के संस्थापक कांशीराम की जयंती के मौके पर मायावती ने कांशीराम पार्क में बड़ी रैली की जिसमें लाखों कार्यकर्ता जुटे.
मायावती ने इस रैली में योगी आदित्यनाथ को धन्यवाद दिया, उनका आभार जताया और अखिलेश यादव को सबसे बड़ा दलित विरोधी बताया.
मायावती ने योगी आदित्यनाथ को दलित महापुरुषों के स्मारकों की देखभाल के लिए धन्यवाद दिया.
मायावती की रैली में जबरदस्त भीड़ दिखाई दी क्योंकि उनका अपना solid support base है. पिछले कुछ साल से ऐसा लगता था कि मायावती ने अपने समर्थकों को taken for granted ले लिया था. वह घर से बाहर कम निकलती थीं, सिर्फ Media के सामने आकर लिखे हुए बयान पढ़कर अपना काम चला लेती थीं, पार्टी की विरासत को लेकर भी अपने भतीजे के नाम पर मायावती flip flop करती रहीं.
नतीजा ये हुआ कि पिछले कई चुनाव में मायावती को हार का सामना करना पड़ा. आज ऐसा लगा कि मायावती ने अपनी पार्टी में फिर से जान फूंकने की रणनीति बनाई है. जिस अंदाज में मायावती ने अखिलेश और कांग्रेस पर वार किया, उसमें पहले वाली आक्रामक मायावती की झलक दिखाई दी.
आज मायावती के पास चाहे उत्तर प्रदेश में सिर्फ एक MLA हो पर BSP का एक बड़ा जनाधार है जो कांशीराम ने बड़ी मेहनत से तैयार किया था. इसीलिए उत्तर प्रदेश की राजनीति में मायावती को नज़रअंदाज़ नहीं किया जा सकता..

मुनीर और शहबाज़ : क्या मुसलमानों को धोखा दिया?

गज़ा में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के शांति प्लान का पहला फेज लागू हो गया. हमास ने शांति प्लान को मंजूर कर लिया. अब गजा में शान्ति है लेकिन पाकिस्तान में खून खराबा शुरू हो गया.
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज़ शरीफ की पुलिस अपने ही लोगों पर गोलियां बरसा रही है. बुधवार रात से ही लाहौर में फायरिंग हो रही है, खून बह रहा है, दर्जनों लोग मारे गए हैं.
असल में पाकिस्तान के मौलानाओं ने इस शांति प्लान का समर्थन करने वाली शहबाज शरीफ की हुकूमत और जनरल आसिम मुनीर के खिलाफ बगावत कर दी है. मौलानाओं ने शहबाज शरीफ और आसिम मुनीर पर मुसलमानों को धोखा देने का इल्जाम लगाया और तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक पाकिस्तान (टीएल.पी) के मुखिया मौलाना साद रिज़वी ने इस्लामबाद में अमेरिकी दूतावास के घेराव की कॉल दे दी. इसके बाद शहबाज शरीफ की पुलिस ने आधी रात के बाद लाहौर में तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के मुख्यालय को घेर लिया और मौलाना साद रिज़वी को गिरफ्तार करने की कोशिश की.
तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के समर्थकों और पुलिस के बीच जबरदस्त झड़प हुई, पुलिस ने फायरिंग की.
तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के कार्यकर्ताओं ने पुलिस पर पलटवार किया, कई बार पुलिस को पीछे हटना पड़ा.
चूंकि ये कार्यकर्ता देश के अलग-अलग हिस्सों से आए थे, जगह-जगह बिखरे हुए थे, इसलिए उन्होंने हर तरफ से पुलिस पर हमला किया जिसके बाद पुलिस के कदम वापस खींचने पड़े.
लाहौर की पुलिस ने मरने वालों का आंकड़ा जारी नहीं किया है, लेकिन सूत्रों के मुताबिक TLP के कम से कम तीन कार्यकर्ता मारे गए हैं.
तहरीक-ए-लब्बैक के नेताओं का कहना है कि ट्रंप ने ग़ाज़ा के लिए जो Peace Plan बनाया है, उसके बाद फिलस्तीन का वजूद खत्म हो जाएगा. उनका इल्ज़ाम है कि शहबाज शरीफ और आसिम मुनीर इस प्रस्ताव को मानकर दुनिया भर के मुसलमानों की पीठ में छुरा घोंपा है, इसे कोई पाकिस्तानी बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा.
पाकिस्तान के लोगों को साफ दिखाई देता है कि मुनीर और शहबाज शरीफ ने अपनी दुकान चलाने के लिए ट्रंप के सामने सरेंडर कर दिया है.
पाकिस्तान हमेशा फिलिस्तीन के साथ खड़ा रहा है. अब ट्रंप को खुश करने के चक्कर में मुनीर और शहबाज ने U-turn ले लिया. इसका गुस्सा पाकिस्तान की सड़कों पर दिखाई दे रहा है.
दूसरी तरफ ट्रंप इजरायल और हमास के बीच शांति योजना करवाने को अपनी सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि बता रहे हैं और इसे नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार पाने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम बता रहे हैं. लेकिन शुक्रवार को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार वेनेज़ुएला की विपक्ष की नेता को देने का ऐलान कर दिया गया.
पाकिस्तान सरकार ने ट्रंप को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार देने के लिए नामांकन भेजा था, पर ये कोई काम नहीं आया. ट्रंप का दावा है कि उन्हने सात जंगें रुकवा दी और वही नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार के असली हक़दार हैं.
लेकिन Nobel Peace Prize Committee केगले उनकी बात नहीं उतरी.
सवाल ये है कि दुनिया के सबसे ताक़तवर मुल्क के राष्ट्रपति को Nobel Peace Prize की इतनी तलब क्यों है?

Filing of nomination papers began for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections to 121 seats on Friday. Seat-sharing in both the NDA and Mahagathbandhan is yet to be finalized.
BJP leaders claim, LJP-R leader Chirag Paswan has been persuaded to accept between 24 to 26 seats. Paswan had been demanding 43 seats. According to reports, NDA’s seat-sharing formula has been almost finalized and it may be announced next week.
In RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, RJD is trying hard to persuade Congress to contest lesser number of seats. The top development of the day was RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav’s announcement to give at least one government job to each family in Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav said, within 20 days of forming his government, a legislation will be enacted and within 20 months, government jobs will be given to each family.
Asked how his government would arrange jobs and salaries for the new employees, Tejashwi Yadav said, there is no need to worry, the roadmap is ready and we are waiting for the election results.
Nobody should be surprised over Tejashwi’s promise to give government job to each family. Such promises are made at the time of elections, but BJP has raised the query as to how each member from 2.7 crore families can be given govt jobs?
Presently, the main focus of all parties is on selecting the right candidates. BJP leaders are trying their best to persuade Chirag Paswan to scale down his demand. In the last elections, Chirag Paswan caused big losses to Nitish Kumar, because of which BJP won more seats compared to Janata Dal(U). BJP will ensure it will not allow this to be repeated this time.
In Mahagathbandhan, Tejashwi Yadav is facing a tough time persuading Congress to scale down its demand for seats. In the last elections, Congress could win only 19 seats despite contesting 70, and this resulted in a big loss for Tejashwi’s alliance.
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor is exuding quiet confidence. On Thursday, his party announced names of 51 candidates. It consists of singers, mathematicians, and family members of late Karpoori Thakur and R.C.P. Singh. PK’s candidates are different from the traditional candidates and his party may gain some advantage.

Mayawati is not a spent force in UP

On Late Kanshi Ram’s death anniversary, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati addressed a big rally at Kanshi Ram Park in Lucknow to display her organisational strength.
Surprisingly, Mayawati praised UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath for taking care of the maintenance of several monuments of Dalit leaders. Mayawati said, she had built monuments to Kanshi Ram and Babasaheb Ambedkar and set rules under which money collected as entry free to Dalit monuments should be used for their maintenance.
She alleged, when Akhilesh Yadav became CM, most of the money that was collected from entry fee was spent on other heads elsewhere. Mayawati said, she wrote a letter to Yogi after which the BJP government improved the maintenance of all these monuments.
Mayawati indirectly hinted that her nephew Akash Anand would inherit her political legacy. The huge turnout of supporters at Mayawati’s rally clearly shows she has a solid support base.
For the last several years, Mayawati had taken her supporters for granted. She used to move out of her residence on very few occasions. She only used to go to press conferences, read out her statements and return. On her political succession issue, she made several flip-flops about her nephew. The result was, BSP lost most of the elections.
It now appears that Mayawati has prepared a sound strategy to revitalize the party. The manner in which she attacked Akhilesh Yadav and Congress on Thursday, clearly reminds one of vintage Mayawati.
Today, her party may be having only one MLA, but BSP has a big support base which was nurtured by Late Kanshi Ram after much toil. Mayawati cannot be ignored any more in UP politics.

Shehbaz and Munir: Did they betray the Muslim world

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and army chief Asim Munir are now facing trouble after supporting Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan.
In Lahore on Wednesday night, police had to fire on crowds and dozens were killed. Islamic clerics in Pakistan have raised a banner of revolt against Shehbaz and Munir for supporting Trump’s Gaza plan.
The chief of fundamentalist outfit Tehreek-e-Labbaiq Pakistan (TLP) Maulana Saad Rizvi gave a call to gherao the US embassy in Islamabad on Friday after prayers.
On Wednesday night, police surrounded the Lahore HQ of TLP and tried to arrest Maulana Saad Rizvi. There were clashes and police had to resort to firing.
The people of Pakistan have now realized that both Asim Munir and Shehbaz Sharif have clearly surrendered to Donald Trump in their bid to run their business. Pakistan had always been a staunch supporter of a free Palestine and the anger of the common people is now visible on the streets.
The Shehbaz-Munir duo even went to the extent of nominating Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, but it was awarded to a Venezuelan opposition leader by the Nobel Peace Prize Committee on Friday.
Trump had been claiming that he stopped seven wars across the globe and deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. The question is: Why is Trump so eager to get the Nobel Peace Prize?

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भी कांग्रेस पर जबरदस्त अटैक किया. मोदी ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के ज़माने में सरकार दूसरे देशों के सामने घुटने टेक देती थीं, देशहित को, देश के आत्मसम्मान को किनारे रख देती थी लेकिन अब बदला हुआ भारत है, अगर कोई भारत की तरफ आंख उठाता है तो भारत घर में घुसकर मारता है.
नवी मुंबई एयरपोर्ट का उद्घाटन करते समय मोदी ने आपरेशन सिंदूर की बात की. फिर पी. चिंदबरम के बयान की याद दिलाई दिलाई. कहा, अब तो कांग्रेस के बड़े नेता भी मान रहे हैं कि 2008 के मुंबई हमले के बाद सेना, पाकिस्तान पर हमला करने के लिए तैयार थी लेकिन कांग्रेस की सरकार ने विदेशी दबाव में आकर इसकी अनुमति नहीं दी और अब पूरी दुनिया ने देखा कि भारत कैसे घर में घुसकर दहशतगर्दों के अड्डों को तबाह करता है.
मैंने पी. चिदंबरम का वो इंटरव्यू देखा है जिसका ज़िक्र प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने किया. .चिदंबरम ने जो कहा, उसका मतलब साफ है. एक तो ये कि 26/11 हमले के बाद वो पाकिस्तान पर हमला करना चाहते थे, सेनाएं तैयार थीं. दूसरा, सरकार ने अमेरिका के दबाव में आकर हमला नहीं किया और तीसरा विदेश मंत्रालय ने ये बताया था कि अमेरिका ने action लेने से मना किया है, इसीलिए हम कुछ नहीं कर सकते.
ये बात पहले भी सामने आई है पर उस समय के गृह मंत्री पी. चिदंबरम का खुद ये बताना बड़ी बात है. मोदी ने इसका जिक्र इसीलिए किया क्योंकि पाकिस्तान के साथ ceasefire के बाद राहुल गांधी ने बार-बार ये कहा था कि मोदी ने ट्रंप के सामने surrender कर दिया. मोदी ने बाज़ी पलट दी. पहले तो अपने action से बताया कि वो न झुके, न डरे और आज जनता को याद दिला दी कि असल में कांग्रेस की सरकार थी जिसने 26/11 के समय अमेरिका के सामने surrender किया था.

अखिलेश खान से मिले : क्या आज़म मुलायम हुए?
समाजवादी पार्टी के अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव रामपुर जाकर आजम खान से मिले. हालांकि अखिलेश यादव अपने साथ रामपुर के सांसद मोहिबुल्लाह नदवी को लेकर गए थे लेकिन आज़म खान ने सुबह ही साफ कर दिया था कि वह अखिलेश से वन-टू-वन बात करेंगे, न तो उनके साथ कोई होगा और न ही अखिलेश अपने साथ किसी को लेकर आएं.
इसके बाद अखिलेश ने मोहिबुल्लाह नदवी को बरेली में ही छोड़ा और अकेले रामपुर पहुंचे. बंद कमरे में अखिलेश और आजम की दो घंटे तक बात हुई. मीटिंग के बाद आजम खां ने कहा कि वो कोई डाल के पंछी नहीं है कि आज इस डाल पर कल उस डाल पर, वह समाजवादी पार्टी नहीं छोड़ेंगे.
अखिलेश यादव ने भी आजम खां को समाजवादी पार्टी का सबसे पुराना और सबसे मजबूत दरख्त बताया. अखिलेश ने कहा कि कहने वाले कुछ भी कहते रहें, लेकिन हकीकत यही है कि आजम खां का आशीर्वाद हमेशा उनके साथ रहा है.
बंद कमरे में हुई मुलाकात में क्या बातें हुईं, ये तो न आज़म ने बताया और न ही अखिलेश ने. लेकिन आजम खान ने सुबह ही साफ कर दिया था कि वो ये भूले नहीं है कि अखिलेश ने उनके विरोध के बाद भी रामपुर से मोहिबुल्लाह नदवी को टिकट दिया. इसके बाद नदवी ने मौके बे मौके आजम खी के खिलाफ बयान दिए. यहां तक कहा कि आजम खां सुधार गृह में हैं, उम्मीद है सुधर कर बाहर आएंगे.
असल में मोहिबुल्ला नदवी तुर्क हैं, आजम खान पठान हैं. रामपुर में तुर्कों और पठानों में नहीं बनती. इसीलिए आजम खां नदवी को टिकट देने के खिलाफ थे. अखिलेश ने उनकी बात नहीं मानी, इसलिए आजम खान नाराज थे. अखिलेश दोनों का पैचअप कराना चाहते थे लेकिन आजम खान ने हाथ मिलाने से इंकार कर दिया. इस बात को यूपी के मंत्री ओमप्रकाश राजभर ने पकड़ लिया और इसे अलग अंदाज में पेश किया.
राजभर ने कहा कि अखिलेश को डर है कि कहीं आजम खां और शिवपाल मिलकर नई पार्टी न बना लें, इसीलिए अखिलेश को आजम खां की याद आई.
यूपी के डिप्टी सीएम ब्रजेश पाठक ने आज़म-अखिलेश की मुलाकात को राजनीतिक मजबूरी बताया. ब्रजेश पाठक ने कहा कि अखिलेश को मजबूरी में आजम की चौखट पर जाना पड़ा क्योंकि रामपुर में उनकी पार्टी की ज़मीन खिसक चुकी है.
अखिलेश यादव और आजम खान का रिश्ता पुराना है. आजम खान मुलायम सिंह यादव के सबसे विश्वसनीय नेताओं में से एक रहे हैं पर आजम खान का मिज़ाज कुछ ऐसा है कि वो कड़वी बात कहते हैं, लेकिन अंदाज ऐसा है कि कड़वी बात को चाशनी में घोलकर पेश करते हैं.
इसीलिए आजम खान की बात के कई-कई मतलब निकाले जाते हैं. इतना जरूर है कि आजम खान आजकल काफी bitter हैं. उन्हें लगता है कि मुसीबत के वक्त में किसी ने उनका साथ नहीं दिया. इसीलिए अखिलेश यादव से उनकी मुलाकात का हर कोई अपने हिसाब से मतलब निकालने में लगा है.

In a hard-hitting attack on Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Congress must tell the nation who bowed to foreign pressure and prevented the Indian armed forces from mounting a military response after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008.
Addressing people while inaugurating the Navi Mumbai airport on Wednesday, Modi , without naming Congress leader P. Chidambaram, said: “A Congress leader, who has been the Home Minister, has said, India was ready to respond after 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai, but because of pressure exerted by some country, the then Congress government prevented Indian armed forces from attacking Pakistan. Congress must clarify who was the person who took this decision and who ignored the sentiments of the people of Mumbai and rest of India. The nation has the right to know. This decision emboldened terrorists and weakened national security.”
I have seen P. Chidambaram’s interview to which Prime Minister Modi has referred. What Chidambaram said was quite clear.
One, he wanted India to attack Pakistan after the 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai, our armed forces were ready to strike. Two, the then government did not take military action because of pressure from America. Three, the External Affairs ministry had conveyed that the US had dissuaded India from taking any action and India did not take any action.
This matter came to light earlier too. But it is now significant because the then Home Minister P. Chidambaram has now revealed it.
Modi mentioned it in his speech because, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had been consistently saying after the 4-day armed conflict with Pakistan that Modi “surrendered” to Donald Trump. The fact is, Modi has now turned the tables.
First, by taking military action against terror hideouts deep inside Pakistan, he conveyed the message that he did not fear, nor bowed before anybody, and today, he reminded the people of India that it was the Congress government in 2008 which had surrendered to America post-26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Akhilesh meets Azam Khan : Will the ice be broken?

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav went to Rampur for a two-hour closed-door meeting with Azam Khan, recently released from prison. Akhilesh took Rampur MP Mohibullah Nadvi with him for the meeting, but when Azam Khan sent message that he would meet no one else for this one-to-one meeting, Nadvi was left behind in Bareilly.
After the meeting, Azam Khan said, “I am not a bird that flies from one branch to another. I shall not leave the Samajwadi Party”. Akhilesh Yadav described Azam Khan as the “oldest and strongest tree” of Samajwadi Party. The SP chief said, whatever people may say, Azam Khan’s blessings shall always be with the party.
Neither Azam Khan nor Akhilesh revealed what was discussed behind closed doors. In the morning, Azam Khan had said, he has not forgotten that Akhilesh had given Mohibullah Nadvi the ticket to contest from Rampur despite his reservations.
When Azam Khan was in jail, Nadvi had commented that Azam Khan is in “a reformatory” and he hoped he would come out as “a reformed man”.
Mohibullah Nadvi is of Turkish origin, while Azam Khan is a Pathan. Among the Muslims of Rampur, Turks and Pathans remain at loggerheads. Akhilesh Yadav wanted a patch-up today, but Azam Khan refused to shake hands.
UP minister Om Prakash Rajbhar said, Akhilesh is fearing the possibility of Azam Khan and Shivpal Singh Yadav joining hands to form a new party. UP deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak described this meeting as a “political compulsion” because SP has lost much of its base in Rampur.
Akhilesh Yadav and Azam Khan have a very old relationship. Azam Khan was one of the most trusted leaders of late Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Azam Khan has this habit of speaking out bitterly in public, but with a flair of its own. His remarks are biting, but dipped in sweet syrup. His remarks are always overloaded with meanings.
The fact remains that Azam Khan, after his release from prison, is a bitter man nowadays. He still feels that nobody supported him when he was in crisis. Leaders from various parties are interpreting the outcome of this meeting differently.

तमिलनाडु की एक कंपनी द्वारा बनाये गये कोल्ड्रिफ कफ सिरप पीने से अब तक मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान में 18 मासूम बच्चों की मौत हो चुकी है. पंजाब, हिमाचल प्रदेश, राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश, उत्तर प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र की सरकारों ने कोल्ड्रिफ कफ सिरप पर पांबदी लगा दी है. तमिलनाडु सरकार ने कोल्ड्रिफ कफ सिरप बनाने वाली कंपनी की फैक्ट्री को सील कर दिया है.
हैरानी की बात ये है कि गुजरात की दो कंपनियों के कफ सिरप Re-life, Respi-fresh TR में भी भारी गड़बड़ी मिली है.
कोल्ड्रिफ सिरप पीने से जिन 18 बच्चों की मौत हुई, उन सभी बच्चों की किडनी फेल हो गई. तमाम कोशिशों के बाद भी उन्हें बचाया नहीं जा सका.
अभी भी मध्य प्रदेश के कई बच्चे नागपुर के अस्पताल में हैं. अभी तक इस दवा का कहर मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान में दिखा है लेकिन इसके बाद कई राज्यों ने कोल्ड्रिफ सिरप के इस्तेमाल पर रोक लगा दी है क्योंकि जांच में जो पता लगा वो रौंगटे खड़े करने वाला है.
कोल्डरिफ सिरप श्रीसेन फार्मास्यूटिकल नाम की कंपनी बनाती है. इस दवा को तमिलनाडु के कांचीपुरम में बनाया जा रहा था. जांच करने पहुंची टीम जब फैक्ट्री में पहुंचे, तो हैरान रह गए.
केमिकल के ड्रम्स खुले में पड़े थे, कोई टेस्टिंग लैब नहीं थी, क्वालिटी कन्ट्रोल का कोई सिस्टम मौजूद नहीं था, trained स्टाफ नहीं था, दवा बनाने के लिए ग्राउंड वॉटर का इस्तेमाल हो रहा था. कफ सिरप बनाने के लिए खुले बाज़ार से बिना किसी जांच-परख के कैमिकल ख़रीदा गया था.
जिस जगह पर दवा बन रही थी, वहां कीड़े मकोड़े, मक्खी मच्छर और चूहों का राज था. ये सब देखकर अधिकारी सन्न रह गए. जांच के बाद 44 पन्नों की जो रिपोर्ट तैयार की गई उसमें लिखा है कि कोल्ड्रिफ कप सिरप बनाने में 39 तरह की गंभीर गड़बड़ियां और 325 तरह की अन्य कमियां पाई गईं.
कफ सिरप में 0.1 परसेंट ग्लाइकॉल होना चाहिए.जबकि कोल्ड्रिफ कप सीरप में इस केमिकल का मात्रा 48.1 परसेंट पाई गई यानी मानक से 481 गुना ज्यादा. ये केमिकल सीधे किडनी पर असर करता है.
इसी तरह गुजरात में बनी री-लाइफ और respi-fresh TR सिरप में मानक से ज्यादा डाय एथिलीन ग्लाइकॉल पाया गया. Re-life में इस केमिकल की मात्रा साठ गुना और respi-fresh TR सिरप में 136 गुना ज्यादा पाई गई. इसलिए अब इन दवाओं के इस्तेमाल पर भी रोक लगा दी गई है और बाज़ार में मौजूद ये कफ़ सिरप वापस कराए जा रहे हैं.
आपके मन में सवाल होगा कि आखिर इन कंपनियों को इस तरह की मिलावट करने की क्या जरूरत थी. जिस केमिकल को .01 परसेंट मिलाने से काम चल सकता है, उसे पांच सौ गुना मिलाने की क्या जरूरत थी. ये सवाल मैंने कई विशेषज्ञों से पूछा तो पता लगा कि खांसी की दवा में सॉल्वेंट के तौर पर प्रोपाइलीन ग्लाइकॉल का इस्तेमाल होता है, दवाओं को बनाने में काम आने वाला ये केमिकल फॉर्मा ग्रेड का होता है, महंगा आता है, कई तरह की जांच से गुजरता है, इसलिए हेराफेरी करने वाली कंपनियां फॉर्मा ग्रेड का प्रोपाइलीन ग्लाइकॉल खरीदने के बजाय खुले बाजार से सस्ता केमिकल खऱीद लेती हैं. डाई-एथलीन ग्लाइकॉल भी solvent का काम करता है लेकिन इसका इस्तेमाल, इंडस्ट्रियल सॉल्वेंट के तौर पर होता है. ये सस्ता होता है, पर ज़हरीला होता है. इसका इस्तेमाल brake fluid, paint, और प्लास्टिक बनाने में सॉल्वेंट के तौर पर होता है लेकिन कोल्ड्रिफ बनाने वाली कंपनी, श्रीसेन फार्मास्यूटिकल इस केमिकल को कफ़ सिरप बनाने में इस्तेमाल कर रही थी, वो भी तय मात्रा से पांच सौ गुना ज़्यादा. इसलिए जो दवा बच्चों को दी गई, वो ज़हर साबित हुई.
जिन मासूम बच्चों की Coldrif सिरप की वजह से मौत हुई, उनके परिवार वालों की बातें सुनकर दिल दहल जाता है. किसी ने बताया कि सिरप पीने के बाद बच्चा एक घूंट पानी भी नहीं पी सका. बच्चे को बचाने के लिए पिता ने जमीन गिरवी रखकर 4 लाख रु. का कर्जा लिया लेकिन पैसा किसी काम नहीं आया. किसी को Doctor ने बताया कि Syrup पीने के बाद उनके बच्चे की दोनों किडनी फेल हो गई हैं, इलाज के लिए पिता ने अपना Auto बेच दिया पर जब बेटे की लाश हाथ में आई तो सब्र का बांध टूट गया.
ऐसे कितने सारे केस हैं, कितनी सारी दर्द भरी कहानियां हैं. ये तो साफ है कि कफ सिरप बनाने वाली कंपनी ने hygiene का ध्यान नहीं रखा, गंदगी में मक्खी-मच्छरों के बीच दवा के नाम पर ज़हर बनाया. जिस केमिकल के इस्तेमाल की सीमा शून्य दशमलव 1% से भी कम थी, उसकी 500 गुना मात्रा सिरप बनाने में इस्तेमाल हुई, सिर्फ इसीलिए कि ये केमिकल सस्ता है.
जिसने भी ये पाप किया, उसे कड़ी सजा मिलनी चाहिए. दवा बनाने में लापरवाही और लालच का ये खेल बंद होना चाहिए.

सबरीमला मंदिर से सोने की चोरी : दोषियों को गिरफ्तार करो

केरल के विश्व प्रसिद्ध सबरीमला मंदिर के दरवाजों पर चढ़ा साढ़े चार किलो सोना चोरी हो गया. सबरीमला के अयप्पा मंदिर के द्वारपालकों की गोल्ड प्लेटिड मूर्तियों को फिर से सोने की पॉलिशिंग के नाम पर चेन्नई भेजा गया लेकिन मूर्तियों में लगा सोना चुराकर तांबे की प्लेटिंग कर दी गई.
ये मामला तब सामने आया, जब केरल हाई कोर्ट ने सबरीमला की संपत्तियों का सही-सही ब्यौरा जमा करने का आदेश दिया. रिटायर्ड जस्टिस KT शंकरन की निगरानी में सबरीमला मंदिर की सभी संपत्तियों का वज़न किया गया तो द्वारपालकों की मूर्ति का वज़न साढ़े चार किलो कम निकला.
पता ये चला कि 2019 में त्रावणकोर देवास्वोम बोर्ड ने 2019 में सबरीमला मंदिर के द्वारपालकों की तांबे की मूर्तियों पर लगी गोल्ड प्लेटिंग को पॉलिशिंग के लिए चेन्नई भेजा था. इस काम की ज़िम्मेदारी उन्नीकृष्णन पोट्टी नाम के शख़्स को दी गई थी.
जब ये मूर्तियां पॉलिश होने के बाद चेन्नई से सबरीमला मंदिर वापस आईं तो इनका वज़न 4.5 किलो कम हो गया था. देवास्वोम बोर्ड के अधिकारियों को इस बात की जानकारी थी, फिर भी उन्होंने कोई एक्शन नहीं लिया. जब छह महीने में ही मूर्तियों की पॉलिश फीकी पड़ने लगी तो देवास्वोम बोर्ड ने एक बार फिर से ये मूर्तियां उन्नीकृष्णन के हवाले कर दी. लेकिन इस साल फिर से द्वारपालों की मूर्तियों की चमक फीकी पड़ गई तो देवास्वोम बोर्ड ने द्वारपालकों की मूर्ति के पैनल ही हटा दिए.
इसकी शिकायत हाई कोर्ट से की गई. हाईकोर्ट ने कहा कि मामला बिल्कुल साफ है, मंदिर का सोना चोरी हुआ है. हाईकोर्ट ने केरल की वामपंथी सरकार को कड़ी फटकार लगाई और मामले की जांच के लिए स्पेशल इन्वेस्टिगेशन टीम बनाने का आदेश दिया.
तिरुवनंतपुरम में कांग्रेस ने पिनराई विजयन की सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ प्रोटेस्ट किया. विधानसभा में शोर-शराबा हुआ. कांग्रेस की अगुवाई में यूडीएफ के विधायकों ने चर्चा कराने की मांग की. प्रतिपक्ष के नेता वी. डी. सतीशन ने आरोप लगाया कि सबरीमला मंदिर से सोना चुराने के मामले में सरकार के मंत्री और क़रीबी अधिकारी शामिल हैं इसीलिए सरकार ये मामला दबाने में जुटी है.
विवाद बढ़ा तो केरल सरकार ने देवास्वोम बोर्ड के डिप्टी कमिश्नर बी. मुरारी बाबू को सस्पेंड कर दिया. मुरारी बाबू 2019 में सबरीमला मंदिर के एडमिनिस्ट्रेटिव ऑफ़िसर थे और उन्होंने ही द्वारपालकों की मूर्तियों के वज़न को लेकर ग़लत रिपोर्ट सौंपी थी. BJP ने कहा कि इस मामले की जांच सेट्रंल एजेंसी को सौंपी जाए.
अगर केरल हाईकोर्ट अपनी तरफ से कार्रवाई न करती, तो सबरीमला से गायब हुए सोने के बारे में पता ही नहीं चलता. सबसे दिलचस्प बात ये है कि जिस व्यक्ति पर सोना चोरी करने का आरोप लगा है, उसने कई साल पहले मंदिर के बोर्ड को e-mail के जरिए लिखकर कहा था कि उसके पास जो बचा हुआ सोना है उसे वो एक शादी के लिए इस्तेमाल करना चाहता है. ये वही व्यक्ति है जिसे मूर्तियों पर सोना चढ़ाने की जिम्मेदारी दी गई थी.
पूरा मामला चौंकाने वाला है. अब एक पूर्व जज से कहा गया है कि अब वो मंदिर की सारी कीमती संपत्तियों की सूची बनाएं और मंदिर में जो अनियमितताएं हो रही हैं, उन्हें सामने लाया जाय. उम्मीद करनी चाहिए कि इस पूरी जांच से मंदिर के सोने और बहुमूल्य सामान पर बुरी नजर रखने वालों पर लगाम लगेगी.

The death toll in the toxic cough syrup case has risen to 18, with most of the kids dying in Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring Rajasthan. Two toddlers died in Nagpur on Tuesday after kidney failure.
The state governments in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, MP, UP and Maharashtra have banned sale of the toxic Coldrif cough syrup. Tamil Nadu government has sealed the Coldrif cough syrup manufacturing unit in Kancheepuram.
India TV correspondent T. Raghavan reported that the cough syrup was being made inside a dingy building in filthy conditions, infested with flies, mosquitoes and rats.
It was when toddlers started dying in Chhindwara of Madhya Pradesh that the Tamil Nadu drug authorities woke up and an inspection of the unit was carried out. Lab tests showed that the Coldrif cough syrup contained 48.6 per cent diethylene glycol. It is an industrial chemical, which if taken by human beings, can cause acute renal failure.
Two more cough syrups Re-life and Respi-Fresh TR, made in Gujarat, have been found to contain 136 times more diethylene glycol than is required. Both these syrups are being withdrawn from market.
I spoke to several pharma experts and asked why this adulteration was going on when the required amount was only 0.01 per cent. The experts said, propylene glycol is used as a solvent for cough medicines, but since it is of pharma grade and is costly, some companies buy cheap chemical from market which is contaminated. Diethylene glycol is also used as a solvent but in industries and it is toxic. It is used to make brake fluid, paint and plastic products.
Union health secretary held a meeting with state health secretaries and directed that drug rules be enforced strictly, medicine sampling system be improved and if any medicine is found to fail tests, stringent action be taken against the manufacturers. Drug controllers have been asked to carry out raids in several states to seize such drugs.
Watching the grieving parents of toddlers who died after taking Coldrif cough syrup is unnerving. One parent said, her baby could not drink a single drop of water after taking this cough syrup. To save the ailing kid, its father took Rs 4 lakh loan after mortgaging his land, but his efforts became futile. One parent sold his autorickshaw to save his kid.
There are several such cases which are truly heart rending. It is a fact that the company was making this toxic cough syrup in filthy conditions infested by flies and mosquitoes. Those responsible for this act must be punished stringently. This game of negligence and greed must end.

Sabarimala gold theft : Arrest the culprits

Reports have come about nearly 4.5 kg of gold missing from the world famous Sabarimala Ayappa temple in Kerala. Costly gold plated statues of the temple were sent to Chennai for gold polishing and in the process, gold was stolen and gold was replaced with copper.
The matter came to light when the Kerala High Court directed all details about the Sabarimala temple assets be submitted. Under retired Justice K.T.Sankaran’s supervision, all the valuable were checked and 4.5 kg of gold was found missing from the Dwarapalaka statues.
The Devaswom Board knew about it but no action was taken. The gold polishing work was entrusted to one Unnikrishnan Potti. The High Court reprimanded the LDF government in Kerala and set up a special investigation team.
There were protests in Thiruvananthapuram and the UDF MLAs led by the Congress raised a furore in the assembly. Leader of Opposition V.D.Satheesan alleged that some ministers and bureaucrats were involved in the gold theft and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s government is trying to shield them.
The state government has suspended B. Murari Babu, deputy commissioner, who was the administrative officer of Sabarimala temple in 2019. BJP has demanded that the probe be entrusted to a central agency.
The moot point is: Had the High Court not taken suo motu action, the theft of gold would not have come to light. The most interesting part of this controversy is that the man who is facing the allegation of gold theft, had himelf sent an e-mail to the Devaswom Board several years ago saying that he wanted to use some of the remaining gold for a wedding. This man was entrusted with gold plating of the statues.
The entire controversy is shocking and a former judge has been asked to make an inventory of all valuables inside the temple and also expose all malpractices that have been going on.
One can only hope that those involved in the theft of gold and valuable of the temple will be brought to book soon.
