Why is Israel unhappy with US-Iran deal?
With decks cleared for signing of a framework agreement between US Vice President J. D. Vance and Iran Parliament Speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf, all eyes are now on Israel, which is furious over being kept out of negotiations.
The Strait of Hormuz will open fully from Friday. More than 2,000 commercial ships have been stuck since the conflict began on February 28. Heavy oil tankers will be allowed to move out first. Iran has agreed not to collect toll for 60 days and there are expectations that this will be part of the final agreement. US Navy will lift the blockade of Iran.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has said the areas of South Lebanon occupied by Israel will continue to remain under its control. The question is: what now?
A top Israeli daily headlined its main story: “Bad deal”. The war on Iran began at the instance of Israel, but Trump kept Netanyahu out of peace talks.
Israel’s main demands were, an end to Iran’s nuclear weapon program, dismantling of all ballistic missiles kept by Iran, and a guarantee from Tehran that it will not support groups like Hezbollah. There is no mention of this in the deal.
Parliamentary elections are due in Israel and the opposition will corner Netanyahu by dubbing him as Trump’s minion. Netanyahu has to do something.
Israeli experts opine, Israel’s consent is necessary for the agreement to hold.

Thieves of Ayodhya have committed a grave sin
As more facts tumble out about donation theft at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, a Special Investigation Team has already begun its probe.
Vijay Vishwas Pant, Divisional Commissioner, Lucknow heads the SIT, which includes Lucknow range IG Kiran A. And Finance Department special secretary Neel Ratan.
The SIT has to report within two weeks how much donation money was swindled and whether the trustees knew about this scam.
Suspicions about those involved in the counting process began when lifestyle and properties of some of them came to the notice of general public.
An auto driver became a millionaire, a man running a medical store built huge mansions, but the members of the Trust did not pay attention to these facts.
The trustees came to know about this pilferage, but no FIR was lodged. On the contrary, efforts were made to hush up even after Rs 2 crore cash was found from four persons involved in the counting process. The whistleblower was sacked from his job. He is now missing.
Among those who are facing donation theft charges, one has built a mansion in Amaniganj, while an auto driver bought swanky SUVs, built a mansion in Durgapuri, and partnered with others to set up a hostel and restaurants.
Another suspect who was getting Rs 30,000 monthly salary, built a mansion and a farmhouse. Yet another suspect, who was a car mechanic five months ago, was raided and Rs 10-12 lakh cash was found from his home beneath a pile of cowdung.
India has many famous temples where donations are counted through a stringent process with necessary checks and balances.
Shri Sanwariya Seth temple in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, gets Rs 337 crore donation annually, but there has never been any allegation of theft.
The famous Shirdi Sai Baba temple conducts bi-weekly counting of donation. There was never any report of theft. Costly gold, silver and diamonds that are donated are checked by reputed jewellers before being sent to bank lockers.
Tirupati Balaji temple run by TTD gets Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 6 crore cash donation daily. All donation money is counted under strict surveillance.
Those who stole Lord Ram’s money in Ayodhya have committed a grave sin. They have hurt the faith of millions of devotees.
I am sure these thieves will be caught soon, in the face of irrefutable evidence. The members of the Trust, however, cannot shirk their accountability.
How can it be possible that the swanky properties and cars owned by those who were counting money did not catch the eye of these trustees? And when the can of worms opened up, efforts were made to hush up this pilferage.
If there can be stringent monitoring of temple donations in Tirupati, Shirdi and Sanwariya Seth temple, why not in Ayodhya?
I think the office bearers of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust are also part of this sin. They lack administrative capability and farsightedness. The management of Ram Lalla Mandir must not be left in the hands of such irresponsible people.
Real reason : Why Mamata’s MP left her party?
Twenty Trinamool Congress MPs merged their group in a little-known political outfit, Nationalist Citizens Party of India and elected Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as the president of the party. The same was conveyed to the Election Commission.
Nobody knew about this registered but unrecognized party, NCPI, which has not a single MLA or MP.
But within 24 hours of the merger, this party emerged as the fifth largest party in Lok Sabha. NCPI was registered as a political party in 2022 and the election symbol allotted to it is “a pen nib with seven rays”.
Allegations are being made that the TMC MPs were “bought” for Rs 5 crore each. Normally there are no such proofs, but it is taken as truth. The surprising part is, nobody sought money, nor was money given.
Those involved in this operation told me that the rebel TMC MPs did not demand money. Their only demand was, they must get a guarantee that there will be development in their constituency.
During Mamata’s rule, meeting of TMC MPs with central ministers was prohibited. There was also a ban on their speaking out in public.
Mamata’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee was the leader of TMC parliamentary party, but he had stopped meeting his own MPs for the last few years. Most of the vital decisions were taken by I-PAC people, who were the front persons for TMC and were Abhishek’s favourites.
This was reason enough for these MPs to part ways with TMC.
Suvendu Adhikari knew about the pain of these MPs. As chief minister, he started inviting these MPs to his meetings on developmental issues. He gave full freedom to these MPs to speak, provided funds for their constituencies.
So, we can say, without any “kharchaa paani” (bribe), the work was accomplished.
अमेरिका-ईरान डील से इज़रायल नाराज़ क्यों?
ईरान और अमेरिका के बीच जिनीवा में शुक्रवार को फ्रेमवर्क एग्रीमेंट पर दस्तखत होंगे. अमेरिकी उपराष्ट्रपति जे. डी. वांस और ईरान की संसद के स्पीकर मुहम्मद बाग़ेर गालिबफ समझौते पर दस्तखत करेंगे. दोनों देशों के बीच MOU पर डिजिटल हस्ताक्षर पहले ही हो चुके हैं.
शुक्रवार तक हॉरमूज़ पूरी तरह खुल जाएगा और सबसे पहले भारी तेल टैंकरों को जाने की इजाज़त दी जाएगी. अगले 60 दिन तक ईरान कोई टोल नहीं लेगा और ऐसी उम्मीद है कि इस बात को अंतिम समझौते में भी शामिल किया जाएगा. दूसरी तरफ अमेरिकी नौसेना ईरान की नाकेबंदी खत्म कर देगी.
उधर इजराइल ने साफ कह दिया है कि वह लेबनान में कब्जा किये गये इलाकों से अपनी सेना को नहीं हटाएगा.
28 फ़रवरी को युद्ध शुरू होने के बाद से स्ट्रेट ऑफ़ होर्मुज़ में दो हज़ार से ज़्यादा बड़े वाणिज्यिक जहाज़ फंसे हुए हैं. इन पर लगभग 20 हज़ार नाविक हैं. डील होने के बाद अब सारे जहाज़ यहां से निकलेंगे.

इज़रायल की मुख्य मांग तो ये थी कि ईरान की बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल खत्म हो. इज़रायल चाहता था कि ईरान हिज्बुल्लाह जैसे संगठनों को समर्थन देना बंद करने की गारंटी दे लेकिन इसका तो डील में कहीं कोई जिक्र नहीं है.
इज़रायल में चुनाव होने वाले हैं, विरोधी दलों के नेता नेतन्याहू पर वार करेंगे, उन्हें ट्रंप का गुलाम कहेंगे, इसीलिए नेतन्याहू को कुछ तो करना पड़ेगा.
अब इजरायल के एक्सपर्ट्स को लगता है कि ये डील कामयाब होने के लिए इज़रायल की सहमति ज़रूरी है. पिक्चर अभी बाकी है.
भगवान राम के पैसे चुराने वालों ने महापाप किया
अयोध्या में राम मंदिर में दानराशि की चोरी के आरोपों की जांच लखनऊ के कमिशनर विजय विश्वास पंत के नेतृत्व में तीन सदस्यों वाली एसआईटी कर रही है.
एसआईटी में लखनऊ रेंज पुलिस के आईजी किरन ए और वित्त विभाग के विशेष सचिव नील रतन हैं.
एसआईटी को ये पता लगाना है कि कितने की चोरी हुई, मंदिर में हुए पाप में कितने लोग शामिल थे और इसकी जानकारी ट्रस्ट के सदस्यों को थी या नहीं.
मेरे पास जो जानकारी है उसके मुताबिक चढ़ावे में चोरी का शक तो काफी पहले जताया गया था क्योंकि गिनती में जो लोग शामिल थे, उनकी संपत्ति अचानक बढ़ गई.
जो पहले ऑटो रिक्शा चलाता था, वो करोड़पति हो गया. जो मेडिकल स्टोर चलाता था, उसने बड़ी बड़ी इमारतें बनवा लीं लेकिन शिकायतों पर ट्रस्ट के लोगों ने ध्यान नहीं दिया.
पता लगा है कि ट्रस्ट के कुछ लोगों ने प्राइवेट कंपनी के कर्मचारियों के साथ मिलकर इसी प्रक्रिया में हेराफेरी की.
ट्रस्ट को इसकी जानकारी मिल गई लेकिन FIR दर्ज नहीं करवाई, सिर्फ चार लोगों से पूछताछ की. इसके बाद इन लोगों से दो करोड़ रुपये बरामद भी हुए.
हैरानी की बात ये है कि जिस कर्मचारी ने चढ़ावे की चोरी की शिकायत सबसे पहले की थी, उसे नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया. अब वो शख्स गायब है.
जिन लोगों पर चढ़ावे में चोरी का आरोप लगा है, उनमें से किसी का अमानीगंज में आलीशान मकान है, जो ऑटो चलाता था, वो SUV खरीद कर घूमने लगा, दुर्गापुरी में आलीशान घर बनाया जहां हॉस्टल चल रहा है, एयरपोर्ट के पास एक हॉस्टल और अयोध्या के कई रेस्त्रां बनवाए.
एक और शख्स जिसका वेतन तीस हजार रूपए था, उसने आलीशान मकान और फार्महाउस बना लिया.
जो 5 महीने पहले कार मैकैनिक था, उसके घर से दस-बारह लाख रुपये मिले, जो गोबर के ढेर में छुपाए गए थे.
देश में बहुत से मंदिरों में रोज करोड़ों रूपए के चढ़ावे होते हैं, लेकिन कभी चढ़ावे में चोरी के आरोप नहीं लगे.
राजस्थान के चित्तौड़गढ़ के सांवलिया सेठ मंदिर में इस साल 337 करोड़ रु. का चढ़ावा आया, पर कभी चोरी के आरोप नहीं लगे.
शिरडी साईंबाबा के मंदिर में हफ्ते में दो बार मंगलवार और शुक्रवार को चढ़ावे की गिनती होती है. कभी चोरी के आरोप नहीं लगे. वहां सोना, चांदी, हीरे की जांच के लिए जौहरी बुलाए जाते हैं.
तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर में हर रोज ढाई करोड़ से 6 करोड़ रु. के बीच चढ़ावा आता है. वहां भी कभी चढावे की चोरी नहीं हुई.
जिन लोगों ने राम मंदिर में चढ़ावे की धनराशि चोरी की है, उन्होंने महापाप किया है. उन्होंने प्रभु राम के करोड़ों भक्तों की श्रद्धा को चोट पहुंचाई है. लोगों की आस्था का अपमान किया है.
ये लोग पकड़े जाएंगे. इतने सबूत हैं कि ये पापी बच नहीं पाएंगे. लेकिन उन लोगों का भी कसूर कम नहीं है जो ट्रस्ट को चलाते हैं.
ये कैसे महारथी हैं, जिन्हें चोरी का पता ही नहीं चला? उनके अपने करीबी लोगों ने मकान बना लिए, जायदाद खरीद ली और राम मंदिर के मैनेजमेंट को कानों-कान खबर ही fixed नहीं हुई.
और जब पता चला तो मामले को रफा-दफा करने की कोशिश हुई. अगर तिरूपति में, शिरडी में, सांवलिया सेठ मंदिर में करोड़ों के चढ़ावे की मॉनिटरिंग हो सकती है, तो राम मंदिर में ये व्यवस्था क्यों नहीं की गई ?
मुझे लगता है कि राम जन्मभूमि से जुड़े हुए जो भी पदाधिकारी हैं, वे भी इस पाप के भागीदार हैं, गुनहगार हैं. उनके पास प्रशासनिक क्षमता और दूरदृष्टि की कमी है.
रामलला के मंदिर की जिम्मेदारी ऐसे लापरवाह लोगों के पास नहीं छोड़ी जानी चाहिए.
असली वजह : सांसदों ने ममता का साथ क्यों छोड़ा?
बंगाल में ममता बनर्जी की तृणमूल कांग्रेस के 20 बागी सांसदों के ग्रुप ने नेशनलिस्ट सिटिजंस पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया में विलय कर लिया, काकोली घोष दस्तीदार को पार्टी अध्यक्ष चुन लिया और इसकी सूचना चुनाव आयोग को दे दी.
NCPI का नाम कल तक कोई नहीं जानता था, इस पार्टी का कोई विधायक या सांसद नहीं है. लेकिन चौबीस घंटे में ये पार्टी लोकसभा में पांचवी सबसे बड़ी पार्टी बन गई.
नेशनलिस्ट सिटीजन पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया 2022 में बनी, बंगाल में रजिस्टर्ड है, पार्टी का चुनाव चिह्न सात किरणों वाली Pen की Nib है.
तृणमूल के सांसद ममता का साथ छोड़कर दूसरी पार्टी में शामिल हो गए. इसका एक मतलब ये लगाया गया है कि इन सांसदों को 5-5 करोड़ रुपये देकर खरीदा गया.
ऐसी बातों के कोई सबूत नहीं होते, पर इन्हें सच मान लिया जाता है.
इस मामले में चौंकाने वाली बात ये है कि न किसी ने पैसा मांगा, न किसी ने पैसा दिया. जो लोग इस ऑपरेशन में
शामिल हैं, उनसे मुझे पता चला कि बंगाल के सांसदों ने रुपये पैसे की कोई मांग नहीं की.
उनकी मांग तो ये थी कि उनके चुनावक्षेत्र में विकास की गारंटी दी जाए. ममता के शासनकाल में सांसदों के केंद्रीय मंत्रियों से मिलने पर पाबंदी थी. सांसदों के बोलने पर भी रोक थी.
अभिषेक बनर्जी तृणमूल संसदीय दल के नेता थे लेकिन पिछले कई साल से उन्होंने अपने ही सांसदों से मिलना जुलना बंद कर दिया था. ज्यादातर फैसले I-PAC वाले किया करते थे. वही पार्टी के फ्रंट बने हुए थे. अभिषेक बनर्जी के फेवरेट थे.
इन सांसदों के लिए तृणमूल छोड़ने की इतनी वजह काफी थी. शुभेंदु अधिकारी इस दर्द को समझते हैं. उन्होंने TMC के इन सांसदों को विकास के लिए होने वाली मीटिंग्स में बुलाना शुरू किया. सांसदों को खुलकर बोलने की आज़ादी दी, उनके क्षेत्र में काम के लिए फंड दिया. इसलिए बिना खर्चे पानी में काम हो गया.
Indian warheads : Sleepless nights for Munir
The latest Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Yearbook says, India possesses an inventory of 190 nuclear warheads, up by 10.
It also says, 12 of these warheads have been operationally deployed for the first time by India. This marks a change from India’s decades old strategy of keeping warheads and delivery systems separate during peacetime.
On Friday, Pakistan’s foreign ministry appealed to world powers to “consider the destabilizing impact” of this change.
Pakistan is worried over the integration of nuclear warheads with Indian submarines, and says it can alter regional power balance.
Since Operation Sindoor last year, India has started reducing its dependence on other countries in defence weapons.
On Friday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched ‘Project Kush’, an indigenous project at a cost of Rs 21,700 crore.
Long-range surface-to-air missile defence systems will be built under this project. These systems can target fighter jets, drones, cruise and ballistic missiles from a distance of 400 km.
Project Kush is part of India’s multi-layered air defence system “Sudarshan Chakra”, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year.
The havoc wreaked by our valiant armed forces during Operation Sindoor continues to give sleepless nights to Gen. Asim Munir.
The Indian armed forces never gloated over its victory. It focused on correcting mistakes and shortcomings that were noticed during the conflict.
All these shortcomings are being removed. This is indicative of our Prime Minister’s vision, strong will and the objective of our army to achieve Atmanirbharta (self-reliance).
Iran deal : Will Trump keep his word?
Confusions persist even after US President Donald Trump declared that the US and Iran will sign a deal to end the current conflict.
Crude price in world markets fell to $86 a barrel while Sensex rose sharply after several days of fall.
There are reports, US Vice President J. D. Vance will go to Geneva to sign the deal.
This time there seems to be substance in Trump’s deal that has been worked, last minute hiccups notwithstanding.
It was the 39th time that Trump announced a halt to the conflict with Iran. One must wait.
But Trump is not the only person who will take the final call. There are others in the picture.
Will Israel stop attacking Hezbollah bases in Lebanon? Will Iran call off its nuclear uranium enrichment program? Will the US pay compensation to the Iran for war losses?
The biggest question is: Will Iran agree to lose control on the vital Strait of Hormuz? Until and unless we get answers to these questions, no deal with Iran can be said to be effective.
Abhishek : Why is he so arrogant?
Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek’s woes mount. On Friday, a CID team served him a notice for questioning in another case.
During election campaign, Abhishek had told a rally that once the results are out on May 4, “there will be DJ shows on the streets, and those jumping now will be taught a lesson”.
An FIR was lodged on the orders of Election Commission and this notice is a consequence of that.
On Friday, Abhishek Banerjee said, even Home Minister Amit Shah had threatened to hang people upside down during his speeches in rallies. Why no FIR against him?
He asked, Is the CEC Gyanesh Kumar only watching speeches of TMC leaders? Why no action was taken against Amit Shah?
Abhishek Banerjee is facing several cases, but his problem is that senior TMC leader and lawyer Kalyan Banerjee has refused to fight his cases in courts.
On Friday, Abhishek sought to pacify saying, “Kalyan Banerjee has seen me since the time I was a boy, he has the right to scold me, but I do not have anger in my heart towards him. I will continue to respect him.”
Abhishek’s words do not match his actions.
He says, he respects Kalyan Banerjee. Then who rang up Kalyan Banerjee’s son at 30 minutes past midnight? Who removed Kalyan Banerjee from his cases? Who made his junior the lawyer after midnight?
If this means showing respect, then only God can help.
Most of the MLAs and MPs who left Mamata said, they were insulted by Abhishek. None of the MLAs and MPs who are still with Mamata are ready to accept Abhishek as their leader.
It was because of Abhishek that TMC lost the elections, MPs and MLAs deserted, the party split, but Didi’s ‘mamata’ (affection) towards her nephew has not diminished.
The nephew is still in a position where he is demanding FIR against Home Minister Amit Shah.
In Hindi, there is a popular saying, “Rassi Jal Gai, Par Bal Nahin Gaya” (He is down, but not out).
भारत के परमाणु बम : मुनीर की नींद उड़ी
भारत अब सुरक्षा के मामले में दूसरे देशों पर निर्भरता खत्म कर रहा है. भारत ने पिछले कुछ सालों में समुद्र में अपने एटमी हथियारों (वॉरहेड्स) की संख्या बढ़ाई है और उन्हें तैनात भी कर दिया है.
इससे पाकिस्तान में हड़कंप है. शहबाज़ शरीफ की सरकार पूरी दुनिया से भारत को रोकने की गुहार लगा रही है.
स्वीडन के स्टॉकहोम इंटरनेशनल पीस रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (SIPRI) की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, भारत ने अपने न्यूक्लियर वॉरहेड्स की संख्या बढ़ाकर 190 तक कर दी है, समुद्र में 12 एटमी हथियार तैनात कर दिये हैं.
SIPRI की रिपोर्ट में कहा गया कि पिछले एक साल में भारत ने 10 नए एटम बम बनाए, और इनकी कुल संख्या 180 से बढ़ कर 190 हो गई है.
पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्रालय ने इसे आक्रामक रवैया बताते हुए कहा है कि इससे पाकिस्तान और दूसरे देशों को ख़तरा हो सकता है.
शुक्रवार को रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने हैदराबाद में DRDO के “प्रोजेक्ट कुश” की शुरुआत की.
ये 21 हज़ार 700 करोड़ रुपए का स्वदेशी प्रोजेक्ट है जिसमें लम्बी दूरी तक मार करने वाले सरफेस टू एयर मिसाइल डिफेंस सिस्टम बनेंगे. ये दुश्मन के फाइटर जेट्स, ड्रोन्स, क्रूज़ और बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल्स को 400 किलोमीटर दूरी पर ही मार गिरा सकेंगे.
कुश प्रोजेक्ट भारत के कई स्तरीय एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम, “सुदर्शन चक्र” का ही एक हिस्सा है जिसका ऐलान प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने लाल किले की प्राचीर से किया था.
हमारी बहादुर सेना ने ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के समय पाकिस्तान में जिस कदर तबाही मचाई थी, उसका डर आज भी जनरल आसिम मुनीर को सोने नहीं देता लेकिन भारत की सेना कभी अपनी जीत पर इतराई नहीं, बल्कि उसने इस बात पर ध्यान दिया कि ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान कौन-कौन सी गलतियां हुईं, कहां-कहां कमियां रह गईं.
अब एक-एक करके इन खामियों को दूर किया जा रहा है. ये प्रधानमंत्री की दूरदृष्टि, मजबूत इरादे और सेना को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के संकल्प का नतीजा है.
ईरान समझौता : क्या ट्रंप अपनी बात पर टिकेंगे?
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने ऐलान तो कर दिया कि ईरान अमेरिका के साथ जिनीवा में शांति समझौते पर दस्तखत करने के लिए राज़ी हो गया है, लेकिन अभी भी कई शंकाएं बनी हुई हैं.
समझौते का ऐलान होते ही विश्व बाजार में कच्चे तेल का दाम गिर कर 86 डॉलर पर पहुंच गया. मुंबई में सेंसेक्स में ज़बरदस्त उछाल आया.
समझौते पर इसी हफ्ते यूरोप में दस्तखत हो जाएंगे. ऐसा लग रहा है कि इस बार ट्रंप के दावे में दम है.
ट्रंप ने ईरान से जंग रुकवाने, ईरान को जमीन पर लाने जैसा बयान 39वीं बार दिया है इसलिए जब तक समझौते पर दस्तखत न हो जाएं, इंतज़ार करना बेहतर होगा.
वो इसलिये कि इस लड़ाई में फैसला लेने वाले ट्रंप अकेले नहीं हैं. क्या इजरायल हिजबुल्लाह के ठिकानों पर हमले बंद कर देगा? क्या ईरान अपना परमाणु कार्यक्रम बंद कर देगा? क्या अमेरिका ईरान को नुक़सान का मुआवज़ा देगा?
सबसे बड़ा सवाल तो ये है कि क्या ईरान स्ट्रेट ऑफ होरमूज़ से अपना नियंत्रण छोड़ देगा?
जब तक इन सवालों के जवाब नहीं मिल जाते, ईरान के साथ कोई भी डील कारगर नहीं हो सकती.
अभिषेक बनर्जी : इतना अहंकार क्यों है भाई!
ममता बनर्जी के भतीजे अभिषेक की मुश्किलें बढ़ रही हैं. CID की टीम ने एक दूसरे मामले में अभिषेक से पूछताछ के लिए नोटिस दिया.
हुआ ये कि चुनाव प्रचार के समय अभिषेक ने एक रैली में धमकी दी थी कि नतीजे आने के बाद 4 मई को बंगाल में DJ बजेगा और जो बहुत उछल-कूद कर रहे हैं, उन्हें सबक सिखाया जाएगा.
चुनाव आयोग के आदेश पर FIR हुई थी, और इसी मामले में नोटिस भेजा गया.
अभिषेक ने कहा कि अमित शाह ने भी तो चुनाव प्रचार के समय लोगों को उल्टा लटका कर सीधा करने की धमकी दी थी, फिर केस सिर्फ उन्हीं के ही खिलाफ क्यों?
अभिषेक ने पूछा, क्या ज्ञानेश कुमार को सिर्फ तृणमूल कांग्रेस के नेताओं के बयान सुनाई देते हैं? अमित शाह के खिलाफ एक्शन क्यों नहीं होता?
अभिषेक के खिलाफ लगातार केस हो रहे हैं और उनकी मुश्किल ये है कि पार्टी के सबसे सीनियर नेता और वकील कल्याण बनर्जी ने अभिषेक का केस लड़ने से इनकार कर दिया.
अब अभिषेक ने सुलह करने की पहल की है, कहा कि कल्याण बनर्जी ने उन्हें बचपन से देखा है, उन्हें डांटने का अधिकार है, लेकिन उनके मन में कोई गुस्सा नहीं है, वह उनका सम्मान करते रहेंगे.
अभिषेक बनर्जी की सफाई में कोई दम नहीं है. वो कह रहे हैं कि मैं कल्याण बनर्जी का सम्मान करता हूं, तो रात को साढ़े 12 बजे कल्याण बनर्जी के बेटे को फोन किसने किया था? जो केस कल्याण बनर्जी लड़ रहे थे, उससे उन्हें किसने हटाया था?
आधी रात को उनके जूनियर को अपना वकील किसने बनाया? अगर ये सम्मान है, तो भगवान ही मालिक है.
जितने विधायक और सांसद छोड़कर गए हैं, सबका कहना है कि अभिषेक ने उन्हें अपमानित किया. जो सांसद, विधायक आज भी ममता के साथ हैं, उनमें से भी कोई अभिषेक को नेता मानने को तैयार नहीं है.
ये सवाल आज भी कायम है. अभिषेक के कारण चुनाव हारे, सांसद-विधायक भागे, पार्टी के टुकड़े हो गए लेकिन भतीजे पर दीदी की ममता कम नहीं हुई. और भतीजे का हाल ये है कि वो आज भी अमित शाह के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज करने की मांग कर रहे हैं. रस्सी जल गई, पर बल नहीं गया.
Why can’t Mamata sideline Abhishek?
Mamata Banerjee must be spending sleepless nights these days because of rebellion in her party. Her one-time confidante Kalyan Banerjee gave her an ultimatum to choose between him or her nephew Abhishek. In other words, Kalyan Banerjee threatened to quit.
Another veteran Trinamool MP Saugata Roy said, it has now become difficult for him to either meet or speak to Mamata nowadays.
In Bengal, commoners continue to throw eggs at local TMC leaders, crores of rupees were seized from a TMC leader’s school, and Falta strongman Jahangir Khan was paraded by police in his hometown. Images that are coming from Bengal are sure to shock Mamata Banerjee.
It has now become a proven fact that charges of intimidation, extortion through ‘tolabazi tax’ or ‘cut money’ that were being levelled against TMC leaders were not baseless.
More and more facts are now tumbling out. Along with this, people are expressing their anger at TMC leaders.
How did this situation come to pass? Why did Mamata Banerjee allow her leaders to commit such excesses?
When these questions are posed to TMC leaders, most of them unanimously mention the name of her nephew Abhishek. They say, the party machinery was under his control, his word was law and he was arrogant.
With the party in shambles after the disastrous assembly election defeat, with 64 out of 80 elected MLAs and 19 Lok Sabha MPs deserting Mamata’s camp, almost every dissident is holding Abhishek responsible for this disastrous situation.
Not a single person among them has blamed Mamata till now. These rebels openly allege that it was Abhishek who was nurturing his army of hooligans and sold tickets during elections, but nobody had the courage to speak out because of fear.
Anyone raising objections in party meetings was shown the door. Anybody who spoke out in the open, found false cases registered.
This atmosphere of fear is no more. The party that was painstakingly built by Mamata since she left Congress in 1998, now lies in ruins, but Abhishek’s arrogance remains.
One question continues to be a puzzle. Why is the aunt doting so much on her nephew?
What is the mystery behind Mamata’s reluctance to sideline her nephew in spite of her party disintegrating before her own eyes?
Rajasthan: Will Sachin get a chance to pilot Congress?
Rajasthan Congress leaders Sachin Pilot and Ashok Gehlot were involved in a wordy duel on Thursday through the media.
Gehlot said, it was Sachin who tried to topple his government in 2020 revolting against the party high command, while he (Gehlot) held the party flag steadfastly.
The former chief minister said, Sachin is ” like my son and I want him to march ahead, but he has much to learn in politics”.
Sachin Pilot responded by saying, “Gehlot Ji is a senior leader, it is good that he described me like his son, but is that all? … Gehlot Ji should forget personal enmity and display large heartedness in the interest of the party”.
Gehlot again responded saying, “it was not my intention to belittle him (Pilot), I only wanted to tell the truth, I have achieved my aim and the matter is now closed”.
Gehlot and Pilot have an old record of political rivalry.
In 2022, the Congress high command decided to install Sachin Pilot as Chief Minister and bring Ashok Gehlot to the Centre as Congress President.
At the last moment, Gehlot’s loyalist MLAs did not attend the Congress Legislative Party meeting that was supposed to elect Pilot as leader. The plan failed.
Gehlot now clarifies that he was not behind this plot. He says, many of the MLAs were not in favour of Pilot.
It is an open secret that those who stayed away from the meeting were Gehlot loyalists.
This issue has arisen again because the Congress high command is inclined to hand over the reins of the state party unit to Sachin Pilot.
Naturally, Gehlot’s camp is in a tizzy. His supporters still say, many local leaders do not like Sachin.
It is also a fact that as state party president from 2014 till 2020, Sachin Pilot energized the party unit.
Sachin’s father the late Rajesh Pilot was an experienced Congress leader of his time. Sachin inherits many of his qualities of leadership. Sachin can prove to be a good leader for Rajasthan.
ममता भतीजे अभिषेक को हटाने से क्यों डरती हैं?
बंगाल में जो हो रहा है, उसने ममता बनर्जी की रातों की नींद उड़ा दी है.
ममता के सबसे करीबी लोकसभा सांसद कल्याण बनर्जी ने चेतावनी दी कि ममता अपने भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी और उनमें से किसी एक को चुनें. अगर पार्टी में भतीजा रहेगा, तो वह पार्टी छोड़ देंगे.
लोकसभा में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सबसे सीनियर नेता 80 साल के सौगत रॉय ने कहा, वो दुखी हैं, ममता से मिलना तो दूर, अब बात होना भी मुश्किल है, ऐसे में पार्टी कैसे चलेगी?
तृणमूल नेताओं पर फिर अंडों की बारिश हुई, TMC नेता के स्कूल से करोड़ों रुपये कैश मिला, जहांगीर खान की पुलिस ने सड़कों पर परेड कराई.
बंगाल से जो तस्वीरें आईं वो ममता के लिए किसी सदमे से कम नहीं हैं.
ये तो साफ है कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस पर लोगों को डराने धमकाने, जबरन वसूली, तोलाबाजी टैक्स, कट मनी और भ्रष्टाचार के जो आरोप लगते थे, वो बेबुनियाद नहीं थे.
अब सबके सबूत सामने आ रहे हैं और तृणमूल के जो नेता पकड़े जा रहे हैं, उनके खिलाफ जनता का गुस्सा निकल रहा है लेकिन सवाल ये है कि ये हालात बने कैसे?
ममता बनर्जी ने अपनी पार्टी के नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं को इस तरह की हरकतों की छूट क्यों दी?
ये सवाल तृणमूल कांग्रेस के बड़े बड़े नेताओं से पूछा जा रहा है, तो जवाब एक ही मिलता है – इन सब की जड़ अभिषेक बनर्जी हैं. पार्टी में सिर्फ भतीजे की चलती थी. अभिषेक बनर्जी किसी को कुछ नहीं समझते थे.
कल्याण बनर्जी की आवाज़ ममता को सोने नहीं देगी. 30 दिन से जो कल्याण बनर्जी चिल्ला-चिल्ला कर ममता का बचाव कर रहे थे, आज उनकी बात सुनकर लगा, इतना सब हो गया, 80 में से 64 विधायक, लोकसभा में 19 सांसद साथ छोड़ गए, हर कोई अभिषेक को इस बर्बादी के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहरा रहा है.
किसी ने ममता बनर्जी पर आरोप नहीं लगाया.
सबके सब एक ही बात कहते हैं, अभिषेक ने लूट मचाई, गुंडों की फौज पाली, चुनाव में टिकट बेचे, पर डर के मारे कोई बोलता नहीं था.
पार्टी के भीतर बोलते तो निकाल दिए जाते. बाहर बोलते तो केस हो जाता. अब डर खत्म हो गया. दरवाजा खुल गया. ममता की खून पसीने से बनाई TMC बिखरने लगी पर अभिषेक बनर्जी का अहंकार कम नहीं हुआ.
बस एक सवाल लोगों को परेशान कर रहा है, बुआ का भतीजे से इतना मोह क्यों है?
क्या रहस्य है कि ममता पार्टी को तबाह होते देख सकती हैं पर अभिषेक को नहीं छोड़ सकतीं?
राजस्थान : क्यों कांग्रेस सचिन को कमान सौंपेगी?
राजस्थान में राजेश पायलट की पुण्यतिथि के मौके पर अशोक गहलोत और सचिन पायलट के बीच जुबानी जंग फिर शुरू हो गई.
गहलोत बार बार ये याद दिला रहे हैं कि 2020 में सचिन पायलट ने उनकी सरकार गिराने की कोशिश की थी, पार्टी आलाकमान के खिलाफ बगावत की थी और उन्होंने उस वक्त कांग्रेस का झंडा मजबूती से संभाला था.
वैसे तो गहलोत ने सचिन पायलट को अपने बेटे जैसा बताया, कहा कि वो चाहते हैं, सचिन आगे बढ़ें लेकिन साथ में ये जोड़ा कि उन्हें राजनीति में अभी बहुत कुछ सीखना है.
सचिन पायलट ने जवाब दिया, कहा, गहलोत जी बड़े हैं, बुजुर्ग हैं, उन्हें अपना बेटा बताते हैं, ये अच्छी बात है लेकिन सिर्फ बेटा कहने से क्या होगा? गहलोत जी व्यक्तिगत दुश्मनी भुलाएं, बड़प्पन दिखाएं, तभी कांग्रेस का भला होगा.
सचिन पायलट ने संयमित भाषा रखते हुए गहलोत पर तीखा कटाक्ष किया तो गहलोत फिर सामने आए.
उन्होंने सफाई देते हुए कहा कि वो सचिन पायलट को नीचा नहीं दिखाना चाहते थे, बस सच बताना चाहते थे, उनका मकसद पूरा हो गया, अब बात खत्म.
अशोक गहलोत और सचिन पायलट का झगड़ा पुराना है. चार साल पहले, सितम्बर 2022 में आलाकमान ने गहलोत को हटाकर पायलट को मुख्यमंत्री बनाने का फैसला किया था, अशोक गहलोत को कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष बनाकर दिल्ली लाया जाना था, लेकिन ऐन मौके पर विधायक मीटिंग में नहीं पहुंचे, प्लान फेल हो गया.
गहलोत अब ये कह रहे हैं कि बगावत उन्होंने नहीं कराई थी, विधायक सचिन के खिलाफ थे.
पर ये सब जानते हैं कि जो विधायक मीटिंग में नहीं आए थे, वो गहलोत के समर्थक थे.
अब ये बात फिर से उठी है क्योंकि कांग्रेस राजस्थान की कमान सचिन पायलट के हाथ में देना चाहती है.
ज़ाहिर है ये फैसला गहलोत को बिल्कुल पसंद नहीं आएगा. इसलिए वो याद दिला रहे हैं कि कांग्रेस के लोकल नेता सचिन को पसंद नहीं करते.
लेकिन ये भी सच है कि प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के तौर पर सचिन ने बेहतरीन काम किया था.
सचिन राजेश पायलट के बेटे हैं, जिनकी 11 जून, 2000 को सड़क हादसे में मौत हुई थी.
राजेश पायलट बहुत हिम्मत वाले नेता थे. उनकी ये क्वालिटी सचिन पायलट में भी कूट-कूटकर भरी है. वह राजस्थान के लिए अच्छे लीडर साबित होंगे.
Modi : Reels can’t win elections, Picture Abhi Baaki Hai!
In a pluralistic country like India, having a multi-party system that has witnessed political upheavals during coalition rule, winning the popular mandate consistently for 12 years is a big accomplishment.
Normally, parties which rule for long, face anti-incumbency factor, but it is the reverse in the case of Narendra Modi.
Modi has consistently won people’s trust. Not only his party BJP, but other NDA constituents have won elections because of Modi.
This has never happened in the past in Indian politics. No other leader garnered such popular support on a humungous scale.
In his speech at the NDA leaders’ conclave in Delhi, Modi attributed this to the “blessings of the people”. At the same time, he said, “this is not the time to stop and take a rest, we must move forward with new energy”.
Two types of leaders are nowadays seen in Indian politics. There are leaders who make reels and make them viral on digital platforms, and there are leaders who garner votes of commoners.
Modi belongs to the second category. He led his party to win the Lok Sabha elections thrice consecutively. He did not allow the Grand Old Party of India to touch the three-digit figure in Lok Sabha.
When Modi took over as PM, there were NDA governments in seven states. BJP and NDA governments now rule 22 states and union territories.
In a democracy, a leader is one who can do the impossible and, at the same time, energize his party to win. The victories in West Bengal and Assam are the latest reflections of this political will.
Modi changed the political lexicon by ending the politics of appeasement. He ran a stable government, gained people’s trust in governance, and wherever BJP won, he ensured that the victories were repeated in subsequent elections.
To have a longer tenure compared to Nehru’s, is, in itself, a big accomplishment, but the more important part is, Modi charted his own path towards sustained victories.
Modi taught BJP workers how to fight from each polling booth, no matter whether the election was big or small. He trained them how to put in their maximum effort to win, and once the election was over, Modi went on to prepare for the next battle. Such is his stamina.
There are no leaders in the opposition who can counter Modi. Elections are not won by making reels and garnering huge hits on Instagram.

Mamata : Nephew becomes the nemesis
The exodus of leaders and MPs from Mamata Banerjee’s party continues. Sushmita Dev, who was close to the Trinamool supremo at one point of time, resigned her TMC membership from Rajya Sabha.
Another loyalist Kalyan Banerjee alleged that he was insulted by Mamata’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee. He said, if the nephew stays, he will quit.
As of now, only 11 TMC members are left in Rajya Sabha, while nearly 20 TMC members in Lok Sabha have written to the Speaker to recognize them as a separate group. In the Bengal assembly, only 16 TMC MLAs are left with Mamata Banerjee.
The Trinamool supremo had a one-to-one meeting with Sonia Gandhi for one hour on Tuesday, and nephew Abhishek had a 90-minute meeting with Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday.
There are reports that a message was conveyed to both Mamata and Abhishek to merge their party with the Congress.
Mamata could never dream that a party that she painstakingly built for 28 years would collapse like a house of cards in 28 days.
More than 60 MLAs whom Mamata nurtured and fielded in elections, deserted her. Nearly 20 MPs, whom she picked, have now charted their own course.
Mamata might be wondering, why this treachery?
Only Abhishek Banerjee’s autocratic stance cannot be the only reason. During Mamata’s 15-year rule, there were extortions on a massive scale and people lived in an atmosphere of fear. Once the lid was opened, everything started boiling out.
Revolt in PoK : Asim Munir is worried
People in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir have come out in revolt against the army. The army has launched a major crackdown to stem the revolt. One Mi-17 helicopter of Pakistan Air Force crashed in PoK, killing all 21 army personnel.
While the army attributed this to a ‘technical problem’, locals say, the chopper was targeted by rebels.
Thousands have come out on the streets in PoK. Pakistan Rangers are firing directly at protesters. Till now, dozens have been killed, according to eyewitnesses.
Pakistan Army’s Aviation Brigade has been sent to PoK. People marching towards Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Mirpur and other towns are being told through loudspeakers to stay away from these towns.
Thousands of marchers are moving towards these towns from Jhelum valley, Dadyal, Kotli, Bhimber and Hajira. Locals say, Army and Rangers are disposing of the bodies of those killed in firings to hide the real figure.
History has been witness to the fact that the Pakistan army has never shown empathy towards commoners. The army only knows the language of bullet.
Pakistan’s rulers never allowed people of PoK to live a peaceful life. They were deliberately kept in poverty and were subjected to atrocities.
The fire of rebellion is now spinning out of control of Pakistan’s rulers. People are coming out to face bullets. This can prove costly for Pakistan.
मोदी : रील बनाने से वोट नहीं मिलते, पिक्चर अभी बाकी है
भारत जैसे विविधता वाले देश में, बहुदलीय शासन व्यवस्था में, गठबंधन की राजनीति वाले माहौल में, 12 साल तक लगातार जनता का भरोसा जीतना बहुत बड़ी बात है.
आम तौर पर लंबे वक्त तक सरकार में रहने के बाद सरकार के खिलाफ लोगों में नाराजगी देखने को मिलती है लेकिन नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ उल्टा है. मोदी के प्रति लोगों का विश्वास लगातार बढ़ रहा है. मोदी के नाम और काम पर, बीजेपी ही नहीं, NDA के सहयोगी दल भी चुनाव जीत रहे हैं.
ऐसा भारत की राजनीति में पहले कभी नहीं हुआ. किसी नेता को जनता का इतना समर्थन नहीं मिला. दिल्ली में मोदी ने NDA के नेताओं से कहा कि जो हुआ जनता के सहयोग से, जनता के आशीर्वाद से हुआ लेकिन अब रुकना नहीं है, थकना नहीं है, नई ऊर्जा के साथ आगे बढ़ना है.
आजकल दो तरह के नेता दिखते हैं. एक तो वो, जो रील बनाकर वायरल कराते हैं, और दूसरे जो जनता का वोट पाते हैं.
नरेंद्र मोदी वोट पाने वाले नेता हैं, मोदी ने पिछले 12 साल में लगातार तीन बार लोकसभा का चुनाव जीता, देश की सबसे पुरानी पार्टी कांग्रेस को तीन अंकों के आंकड़े तक नहीं पहुंचने दिया.
जब मोदी प्रधानमंत्री बने थे तो सात राज्यों में NDA की सरकारें थीं, अब 22 जगह BJP-NDA की सरकारें हैं.
लोकतंत्र में नेता वो होता है जो नामुमकिन को मुमकिन करके दिखाए, पार्टी में जीत की ललक जगाए. बंगाल और असम के चुनाव, इसी इरादे की नवीनतम मिसालें हैं.
मोदी ने तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति को खत्म कर बाज़ी पलट दी, देश में टिकाऊ सरकार चलाकर दिखाई, लोगों में सरकार के प्रति भरोसा पैदा किया, एक बार जहां BJP जीती, ज्यादातर जगह उसे वहां बाद में हारने नहीं दिया.
नेहरू जी के मुकाबले लंबा कार्यकाल होना बड़ी बात है लेकिन उससे भी बड़ी बात है, वहां तक पहुंचने का रास्ता कैसे तय किया.
मोदी ने BJP को हर बूथ पर लड़ना सिखाया, चुनाव छोटा हो या बड़ा, जीतने के लिए जान लगाना सिखाया. एक चुनाव खत्म होता है तो मोदी अगले की तैयारी में लग जाते हैं. इसलिए आज विरोधी दलों के पास मोदी का मुकाबला करने के लिए कोई नेता नहीं है. रील बनाने से, इंस्टाग्राम पर हिट्स से चुनाव नहीं जीते जाते.

ममता : पार्टी जाए, पर भतीजा न जाए
ममता बनर्जी की पार्टी से नेताओं, सांसदों का निकलना जारी है. ममता की करीबी सुष्मिता देव ने राज्यसभा की सदस्यता से इस्तीफा दे दिया. सबसे खासमखास कल्याण बनर्जी ने कहा, अभिषेक बनर्जी ने उन्हें अपमानित किया, अगर अभिषेक पार्टी में रहेंगे, तो वह पार्टी छोड़ देंगे.
अब राज्यसभा में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के 11 सांसद बचे हैं और इनमें भी कई पार्टी छोड़ने की फिराक़ में हैं. लोकसभा में 20 सांसदों ने ऐलान कर दिया कि वो स्पीकर से अलग गुट के तौर पर मान्यता देने की मांग करेंगे.
विधानसभा में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के 64 विधायकों ने बगावत कर दी. ममता के साथ 16 विधायक बचे हैं.
ममता सोनिया गांधी से मिलीं, अभिषेक राहुल गांधी से मिले. खबर है कि कांग्रेस की तरफ से ममता को कहा गया कि अगर पार्टी को बचाना है तो एक ही रास्ता है, तृणमूल कांग्रेस का कांग्रेस में विलय कर दिया जाए.
ममता ने कभी सपने में भी नहीं सोचा होगा कि जिस पार्टी को बनाने में उन्होंने 28 साल लगाए, वह पार्टी सिर्फ 28 दिन में बिखर जाएगी. जिन विधायकों को ममता ने टिकट दिया, जिताया, उनमें से 60 से ज्यादा साथ छोड़ गए, जिन्हें सांसद बनाया उनमें से 20 ने मुंह मोड़ लिया.
ममता को लगता होगा कि ये अहसानफरामोशी क्यों?
इसकी वजह सिर्फ अभिषेक बनर्जी की तानाशाही नहीं हो सकती. ममता के शासनकाल में इतनी लूट मची, लोगों को इतना डरा कर रखा गया कि अब ढक्कन खुलते ही सब कुछ उबल कर बाहर आने लगा.
PoK में बगावत : आसिम मुनीर परेशान
पाकिस्तान के कब्जे वाले कश्मीर में अब अवाम ने पाकिस्तानी फौज के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया है. बागियों ने पाकिस्तानी सेना के एक एम-17 हेलीकॉप्टर को मार गिराया. इस हेलीकॉप्टर हादसे में सभी 21 फौजी मारे गए.
पाकिस्तानी सेना ने सफाई दी कि ये हादसा टेक्निकल प्रॉब्लम के कारण हुआ, हेलीकॉप्टर पर हमला नहीं हुआ लेकिन PoK के लोगों का कहना है कि ये फौज के जुल्मों का नतीजा है. अब आर-पार की लड़ाई होगी.
PoK में जनता सड़कों पर है, पाकिस्तानी रेंजर्स लोगों पर सीधे फायरिंग कर रहे हैं. दर्जनों लोग मारे जा चुके हैं. PoK में बग़ावत कुचलने के लिए फौज ऑपरेशन चला रही है. मस्जिदों, मदरसों और सरकारी इमारतों से ऐलान हो रहा है कि मुज़फ़्फ़राबाद, रावलाकोट, मीरपुर और दूसरे शहरों की तरफ़ कूच करने वाले बागी शहरी इलाक़ों से दूर रहें.
पूरे PoK में झेलम घाटी, ददियाल, कोटली, भीमबर और हजीरा जैसे दूर-दराज़ के इलाक़ों से हजारों लोग बड़े-बड़े काफ़िले में, शहरों की तरफ़ रवाना हो रहे हैं. इनको रोकने के लिए पाकिस्तानी सेना ने पूरी ताक़त लगा दी है. अंधाधुंध फ़ायरिंग करके लोगों को डराने की कोशिश की जा रही है.
PoK के लोगों का कहना है कि फौज की फ़ायरिंग में कितने लोग मारे जा चुके हैं, इसका कुछ अंदाज़ा नहीं है क्योंकि लाशें छुपाई जा रही हैं.
इतिहास गवाह है कि पाकिस्तान ने कभी अपनी जनता के प्रति संवेदना नहीं दिखाई. पाकिस्तान को फौज चलाती है और वहां की फौज सिर्फ गोली की भाषा जानती है.
पाकिस्तान ने हमारे कश्मीर के जिस हिस्से पर कब्जा किया हुआ है, वहां लोगों को उसने कभी चैन से नहीं जीने दिया, उन्हें गरीब और लाचार बनाए रखा, उन पर जुल्म किए.
अब बगावत की आग पाकिस्तान की हुकूमत के काबू से बाहर हो चुकी है. लोग जान की परवाह किए बगैर लोहा लेने के लिए तैयार हैं. ये आग पाकिस्तान को बहुत भारी पड़ेगी.
Modi : A commoner breaks Nehru’s record
Narendra Modi today became India’s longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister, breaking Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s 4,398-day record.
Modi has already completed 12 years as Prime Minister.
It will be interesting to understand why Modi’s record as PM is significant compared to that of Jawaharlal Nehru.
Pandit Nehru hailed from a prominent political family, while Modi’s family had no connection whatsoever with active politics.
Jawaharlal Nehru’s father was a prominent lawyer. He studied in London’s Harrow School and Trinity College, Cambridge and became a barrister after studying law at the Inner Temple.
Narendra Modi’s father Damodardas Modi sold tea at a railway station in Gujarat. His mother used to earn by doing domestic chores in homes. Modi himself sold tea at the railway station.
Jawaharlal Nehru played a prominent role in India’s freedom struggle. He had the blessings of Gandhiji. Modi chose his own path. He worked as a pracharak for RSS for 30 years, visiting far-flung villages and towns. Since the time he started contesting elections, he never lost.
One big reason behind Modi’s success is the lessons that he learnt as a pracharak while moving around places, big and small, in India. This experience proved to be helpful in governance later.
He remained as Chief Minister of Gujarat for 13 years. For him, everyday as CM was a challenge. He faced vicious attacks from all directions, but his experience to cope with crises came in handy.
During his 12 years as PM, Modi never went on a holiday vacation. He worked hard on a daily basis. Some of his momentous decisions as Prime Minister required tremendous grit and courage. A few examples: abrogation of Article 370 and attacks on terror camps that he ordered deep inside Pakistan.
Modi’s hard work and courage put him in a league different from other Prime Ministers.
His inheritance of poverty and his capability of turning a crisis into opportunity, magnify his record and accomplishments.
Was Natarajan targeted by Congress insiders?
In a major upset, the Returning Officer for the Rajya Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh rejected Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination on grounds of failing to mention an old criminal case.
Because of this minor mistake, Congress lost a game it was supposed to win.
How did this happen? There were 3 RS seats at stake. BJP had enough votes to win two seats, but for the third seat, it required the support of 10 more MLAs.
The Congress had enough votes to win one seat and had five additional votes. BJP was supposed to win two seats and the Congress one, but the ruling party surprised all by fielding a third candidate.
A wary Congress, fearing poaching, decided to send all its MLAs in a private jet to Bengaluru. But, reports say, some Congress leaders who were unhappy with Natarajan’s nomination, leaked the info about the old criminal case to the rival camp.
BJP lodged a complaint and Meenakshi’s nomination was cancelled. BJP is now set to win all three seats unopposed.
Congress legislators were planning to enjoy a stay at a resort near Bengaluru, but before their aircraft was to take off, the upset took place.
There is a popular Bollywood song, ‘Kahin Pe Nigahen, Kahin Pe Nishana’ (Look here, and aim elsewhere).
Why eggs are being thrown at TMC leaders?
Several incidents have happened in West Bengal when Trinamool Congress leaders were heckled with the slogan ‘Chor Chor’, and eggs and tomatoes were thrown at them. TMC leader Kalyan Banerjee faced this slogan when he landed at Kolkata airport from Delhi.
The Bidhannagar Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta, who was being taken to a local court, faced ‘Chor Chor’ slogan, and rotten tomatoes and eggs were thrown. When he was taken to a hospital, people again threw eggs at him. The hecklers and egg throwers were commoners.
TMC leaders allege BJP’s hand behind these incidents, but the question is: how can BJP assemble its supporters at short notice, when nobody knew when Kalyan Banerjee would reach the airport or when police would taken Sabyasachi Dutta to a hospital or court?
Two things are now clear: The public in Bengal is no more with Didi, nor most of the MLAs and MPs are with her. The party is breaking apart.
The moot point: There was rampant extortion during Mamata Banerjee’s rule. Atrocities were committed, her party leaders were collecting bribes, and ‘good men’ in her party were afraid of speaking out.
The situation has now completely changed. Revolts are taking place in the party. The remaining loyalists siding with Didi lack mass base.
Kalyan Banerjee, a vocal supporter of Didi, has 7 assembly seats in his LS constituency. The TMC could win only two.
Mahua Moitra had 7 assembly seats in her Krishnagar constituency, TMC could win only three.
Kirti Azad has 7 assembly seats in his constituency, TMC could win only one.
Shatrughan Sinha, the MP from Asansol, has 7 seats in his constituency. BJP won all seven seats. These facts and figures tell their own story.
मोदी : एक चायवाले ने बैरिस्टर को पीछे छोड़ा
नरेंद्र मोदी आज भारत के लगातार सबसे लम्बे समय तक सेवा करने वाले निर्वाचित प्रधानमंत्री बन गये. उन्होंने पंडित जवाहर लाल नेहरू के 4398 दिन वाले रिकॉर्ड को तोड़ा. मोदी सरकार के 12 साल भी पूरे हो चुके हैं.
पंडित नेहरू के मुकाबले नरेंद्र मोदी का रिकॉर्ड इतना महत्वपूर्ण क्यों है, ये समझने की जरूरत है.
पंडित नेहरू एक बड़े राजनीतिक परिवार से आए थे और मोदी के परिवार का राजनीति से दूर-दूर तक कोई संबंध नहीं था.
नेहरू जी के पिता बहुत बड़े वकील थे, नेहरू जी लंदन के Harrow School में पढ़े, बैरिस्टर बने, मोदी के पिताजी की रेलवे स्टेशन पर चाय की दुकान थी. गरीब मां दूसरों के घरों में बर्तन मांजती थीं. मोदी भी स्टेशन पर चाय बेचने का काम करते थे.
नेहरू जी की आज़ादी की लड़ाई में बड़ी भूमिका थी. उनके सिर पर गांधी जी का हाथ था. मोदी ने अपना रास्ता खुद बनाया. 30 साल तक RSS के प्रचारक के रूप में गली-गली, गांव-गांव भटके. जब से चुनाव लड़ना शुरू किया, कभी नहीं हारे.
मोदी की सफलता की एक बड़ी वजह ये है कि प्रचारक के तौर पर घूम-घूम कर जो सीखा, वो बाद में काम आया. 13 साल मुख्यमंत्री रहे. एक-एक दिन चुनौतियों से भरा था. चारों तरफ से हमला हो रहा था, संकट से लड़ने का ये अनुभव भी काम आया.
मोदी को प्रधानमंत्री बने 12 साल हो गए, छुट्टी नहीं ली, अथक परिश्रम किया. ऐसे कई काम किए जिनके लिए इच्छाशक्ति और साहस दोनों की ज़रूरत होती है, जैसे Article 370 हटाना, पाकिस्तान को घर में घुसकर मारना.
मोदी की मेहनत और हिम्मत उन्हें बाकी प्रधानमंत्रियों से अलग बनाती है. गरीबी की विरासत, संकट को अवसर में बदलने की क्षमता, मोदी के रिकॉर्ड को, मोदी की उपलब्धि को, बड़ा बनाती है.
नटराजन के खिलाफ साज़िश किस ने की?
मध्य प्रदेश में कांग्रेस के साथ बड़ा खेल हो गया. राज्यसभा चुनाव में उसकी उम्मीदवार मीनाक्षी नटराजन के नामांकन को निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने रद्द कर दिया.
एक मामूली गलती के कारण कांग्रेस जीता हुआ चुनाव हार गई. कांग्रेस के साथ खेल कैसे हुआ?
तीन सीटों पर चुनाव होने थे. BJP के पास दो सीटें जीतने के अलावा भी अतिरिक्त वोट थे लेकिन तीसरी सीट जीतने के लिए 10 विधायक और चाहिए थे.
कांग्रेस के पास एक सीट जीतने लायक वोट तो थे ही, बल्कि 5 अतिरिक्त वोट थे. सबको लगता था कि BJP 2 और कांग्रेस 1 सीट आसानी से जीत जाएगी लेकिन BJP ने तीसरी सीट पर उम्मीदवार खड़ा करके सबको चौंका दिया.
कांग्रेस चौकन्नी थी. उसे लगा BJP उसके विधायकों को तोड़ेगी, तो सारे विधायकों को private jet से बेंगलुरु भेजने की तैयारी हुई.
लेकिन कांग्रेस के जो नेता मीनाक्षी नटराजन की उम्मीदवारी से नाराज़ थे, उन्होंने मीनाक्षी के खिलाफ एक पुराने फौजदारी मामले की सूचना चुपके से BJP को दे दी, BJP ने शिकायत की और मीनाक्षी का नामांकन रद्द हो गया. अब BJP के तीनों उम्मीदवार निर्विरोध चुन लिए जाएंगे.
कांग्रेस के विधायक बेंगलुरु के Resort में आराम करने के लिए निकले थे लेकिन प्लेन उड़ान भरता, इससे पहले ही खेल हो गया. इसे कहते हैं कहीं पे निगाहें, कहीं पे निशाना.
तृणमूल नेताओं पर अंडे कौन फेंक रहा है?
बंगाल में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के नेता जहां जा रहे हैं, वहां लोग चोर-चोर के नारे लगा रहे हैं और उन पर अंडे, टमाटर फेंक रहे हैं.
कोलकाता एयरपोर्ट पहुंचने पर कल्याण बनर्जी के खिलाफ लोगों ने चोर-चोर के नारे लगाए.
बिधाननगर के मेयर सब्यसाची दत्ता को पुलिस जब कोर्ट में पेशी के लिए लेकर पहुंची, तो वहां लोगों ने चोर-चोर के नारे लगाए और उन पर अंडे और टमाटर फेंके.
जब सब्यसाची को पुलिस अस्पताल ले गई, वहां भी लोगों ने उन पर सड़े हुए अंडों की बारिश कर दी.
जो लोग चोर-चोर के नारे लगा रहे थे, जो सड़े हुए अंडे फेंक रहे थे, वे आम लोग हैं.
तृणमूल के नेता आरोप लगा रहे हैं कि ये सब बीजेपी करवा रही है, लेकिन सवाल ये है कि बीजेपी एक नेता के घर के सामने तो कार्यकर्ताओं को इकट्ठा कर सकती है, लेकिन इस तरह की तस्वीरें तो हर जगह से आ रही हैं.
कल्याण बनर्जी एयरपोर्ट पहुंचे, ये तो किसी को पहले से पता नहीं था, वहां नारेबाजी हुई. आम लोगों को तो पहले से जानकारी नहीं थी कि सब्यसाची को पुलिस कब अस्पताल ले जाएगी, कब कोर्ट में पेश करेगी लेकिन दोनों जगह नारेबाजी हुई, अंडे फेंके गए.
बंगाल को लेकर दो बातें बिल्कुल साफ हैं. न पब्लिक ममता दीदी के साथ है, न उनके ज्यादातर विधायक और सांसद साथ हैं. संगठन भी बिखरने लगा है.
मोटी बात ये है कि ममता के राज में बड़े पैमाने पर ज्यादतियां हुईं, लोगों के साथ जुल्म हुआ, उनकी पार्टी के नेताओं ने लूट मचाई, पार्टी में जो अच्छे लोग थे उनको बोलने से डर लगता था.
अब पासा पलट गया है. बगावत हो रही है. जो लोग अभी भी खुलकर ममता का साथ दे रहे हैं, उनके पास अपना कोई जनाधार नहीं है.
कल्याण बनर्जी सबसे ज्यादा vocal हैं. उनके चुनावक्षेत्र में 7 विधानसभा सीटें हैं. यहां TMC सिर्फ 2 सीटें जीत पाई. महुआ मोइत्रा कृष्णानगर से सांसद हैं. वहां 7 विधानसभा सीटें हैं, इनमें से तृणमूल केवल 3 जीत पाई.
कीर्ति आजाद के चुनावक्षेत्र में 7 विधानसभा सीटें हैं लेकिन TMC को सिर्फ 1 पर जीत मिली. शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा आसनसोल से सांसद हैं, यहां भी विधानसभा की 7 सीटें हैं और सारी की सारी सीटें BJP ने जीती हैं. ये तथ्य और आंकड़े सारी कहानी अपने आप कह रहे हैं.
Why Mamata needs Sonia now
The INDIA bloc meeting in Delhi on Monday was attended by leaders of 25 opposition parties. On the face of it, they agreed to let bygones be bygones, and give a united fight to BJP . But is it possible or feasible?
The meeting was convened at the request of Mamata Banerjee, whose party, Trinamool Congress has split, both in the assembly and Parliament. Mamata is in dire need of help to save her party.
Congress is now the biggest constituent of the so-called alliance. It has governments in three states.
This alliance, set up two years ago, is on a national level, but the fact remains that Congress has lost three Lok Sabha elections consecutively.
Among the regional leaders who faced electoral drubbings in the recent past include Tejashwi Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Akhilesh Yadav and Uddhav Thackeray.
There were two other strong regional leaders, Arvind Kejriwal and M K Stalin in the alliance, but they have moved away from Congress. The alliance is now weak.
Rahul Gandhi now wants an alliance of leaders and parties which were defeated in elections.
Assembling parties of different hues may be the need of the hour, but none of them like each other from the core of their hearts. The choice is between the devil and the deep sea.
Who is the traitor?
On Monday, while Mamata Banerjee was attending the INDIA bloc meet, 20 out of 28 Trinamool Congress MPs revolted. They formed a group and wrote to the Speaker of Lok Sabha extending support to the NDA.
Already, 58 out of 80 Trinamool MLAs in West Bengal assembly have formed a separate group with Ritabrata Banerjee being recognized as Leader of Opposition.
Times change in a flash in politics. Those who had been Mamata loyalists are being termed as traitors. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, the leader of breakaway parliamentary group, who stood with Mamata through thick and thin, has left.
But one must have a look at those left in TMC who are calling her a traitor.
MPs like Kirti Azad , who stayed in BJP for a long stretch, and later crossed over to Mamata’s party are now calling the breakaway MPs as traitors. This is like the pot calling the kettle black.
ममता को सोनिया की ज़रूरत
दिल्ली में सोमवार को 25 विपक्षी दलों के नेता INDI alliance की मीटिंग में पहुंचे. तय ये हुआ कि अब तक जो हुआ, सो हुआ, अब बीजेपी के खिलाफ मिलकर लड़ेंगे.
लेकिन क्या ये सारी पार्टियां एक गठबंधन में रह पायेंगी?
ये बैठक ममता बनर्जी के आग्रह पर बुलाई गई थी. ममता को सहारे की ज़रूरत है, उनकी पार्टी इस वक्त बैसाखियों पर है.
वो ज़माना चला गया, जब इंडी अलायंस में ममता बनर्जी का दबदबा था. उस समय उन्होंने विधानसभा चुनाव में BJP को हराया था. लोकसभा में भी उनके अच्छे खासे सांसद थे, लेकिन देखते ही देखते सब कुछ बदल गया.
INDI alliance में अब कांग्रेस सबसे बड़ी पार्टी है, तीन राज्यों में उसकी सरकारें हैं पर alliance तो राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर है और कांग्रेस तीन बार लोकसभा चुनाव हार चुकी है.
हारे हुए क्षेत्रीय नेताओं में तेजस्वी यादव, शरद पवार, उद्धव ठाकरे, अखिलेश यादव हैं. पहले दो और दिग्गज थे, केजरीवाल और स्टालिन. सब के सब चुनाव हारने के बाद कांग्रेस से दूर होते गए. इंडी अलायंस बिखरने लगा.
राहुल गांधी कम से कम इस मामले में फायदे में हैं, चुनाव हार चुके नेता फिर से अलायंस बनाने के लिए विवश हैं.
वक्त की मजबूरी है, पर दिल से कोई एक दूसरे को नहीं चाहता. इसे कहते हैं, रहा भी न जाए, सहा भी न जाए.
गद्दार कौन? वफादार कौन?
हैरानी की बात है कि ममता बनर्जी दिल्ली में थीं और उसी समय दिल्ली में उनकी पार्टी संसद में टूट गई. लेकिन ममता पार्टी में टूट पर एक शब्द नहीं बोलीं.
तृणमूल कांग्रेस के 28 में से बीस सांसदों ने अपना रास्ता अलग कर लिया. काकोली घोष दस्तीदार के नेतृत्व में इन सांसदों ने लोकसभा स्पीकर को पत्र भेज कर कहा कि वे अब सदन में NDA का समर्थन करेंगे.
इस वक्त तृणमूल कांग्रेस तीन गुटों में बंटी नज़र आ रही है.
एक गुट है ममता बनर्जी और अभिषेक बनर्जी का.
दूसरा गुट है काकोली घोष दस्तीदार की अगुवाई वाले तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सांसदों का,
और तीसरा गुट है बंगाल विधानसभा में तृणमूल कांग्रेस के विधायकों के नेता ऋतब्रत बनर्जी का.
सियासत में वक्त कैसे बदलता है, ये सोमवार को दिल्ली में दिखाई दिया.
ममता बनर्जी जहां बैठ कर, सोनिया और राहुल के साथ मिलकर मोदी से लड़ने का प्लान बना रही थीं, उससे थोड़ी ही दूर उनकी पार्टी के दो-तिहाई सांसद दीदी को छोड़कर मोदी का समर्थन करने की चिट्ठी ड्राफ्ट कर रहे थे.
ये सही है कि जाने वालों में काकोली घोष दस्तीदार जैसे सांसद हैं, जो जीवनभर तृणमूल कांग्रेस में रहे, इसलिए उनके पाला बदलने को गद्दारी कहा गया. पर गद्दार कहने वाले कौन हैं, ये देखना भी जरूरी है.
कीर्ति आजाद जो जिंदगीभर BJP में रहे, कुछ ही साल पहले टिकट पाने के लिए दीदी की शरण में आए, अब TMC छोड़ने वालों को गद्दार कह रहे हैं.
