बजरंग दल ने ऐलान कर दिया है कि अगर लव जिहाद के मामले न रुके, अगर पुलिस ने इन पर रोक न लगाई, हिन्दू बेटियों के साथ ज्यादती न रूकी तो बजरंग दल एंटी रोमियो फोर्स गठित करेगा. बजरंग दल खुद पुलिसिंग का काम करेगा. विश्व हिंदू परिषद के संयुक्त महासचिव सुरेन्द्र जैन ने मंगलवार को कहा कि हम हिन्दू बेटियों को इस तरह से चाकुओं से गोदते हुए नहीं देख सकते. बागेश्वर धाम वाले धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री ने कहा कि अब वक्त आ गया है हिन्दुओं को एकजुट होकर बेटियों की सुरक्षा के लिए कदम उठाने होंगे. ये बात सुनने में साधारण लग सकती हैं, लेकिन ये देश में सुलग रही चिंगारी की तरफ इशारा करती है, इसलिए इस पर बात पर गौर करना जरूरी है. असल में, दिल्ली में साक्षी की सरेआम चाकुओं से गोदकर हत्या करने वाले साहिल ने पुलिस के सामने गुनाह कबूल कर लिया है और ये कहा है कि उसे साक्षी का कत्ल करने का कोई अफसोस नहीं है. उसकी कलाई पर कलावा मिला था और गले में रुद्राक्ष मिला, इसलिए बात और बड़ी हो गई. दिल्ली के अलावा लखनऊ, शाहजहांपुर, उत्तरकाशी, बरेली, पटना, कानपुर, मेरठ, और बीकानेर समेत कई शहरों से लव जिहाद की खबरें आईं हैं.कहीं जबरन हिन्दू लड़की का धर्मपरिवर्तन करवाकर निकाह करने और जुल्म करने का इल्जाम है, तो कहीं बहला फुसला कर नाबालिग हिन्दू लड़की को अगवा करने का आरोप है. कहीं धर्म परिवर्तन और निकाह से इंकार करने पर हमला करने और जान से मारने की धमकी का मामला है. हर जगह एक बात समान है.. लड़का मुस्लिम है, लड़की हिन्दू है, पहचान छुपाकर दोस्ती की कोशिश की गई, जब असलियत सामने आई तो मारपीट, धमकी और अपहरण की कोशिश हुई. जब अचानक इस तरह के बहुत से मामले सामने आए तो हिन्दू संगठन मैदान में आ गए. ये चिंता की बात है. मुझे लगता है कि ये मुद्दा सियासत का नहीं, संजीदगी से सोचने का है. जब ऐसी कोई घटना होती है, जिसमें कोई मुस्लिम लड़का, किसी हिंदू लड़की से संबंध बनाता है, फिर उस पर ज़ुल्म करता है, उसकी हत्या कर देता है, तो लव जिहाद का सवाल उठना स्वाभाविक है.आफ़ताब हो या साहिल, जब लोग देखते हैं कि किस बेरहमी से लड़की की हत्या की गई, तो इसका समाज के दिलो दिमाग़ पर गंभीर प्रभाव पड़ता है. पिछले कुछ साल की घटनाएं देखें, तो केरल में ईसाई लड़कियों के साथ जब इसी तरह की घटनाएं हुईं, तो पादरियों ने आवाज़ उठाई. कुछ दिन पहले जैन समाज के लोगों ने लव जिहाद को लेकर प्रोटेस्ट किया. इसमें दो चीज़ें समझने की हैं. एक, हो सकता है कि सारी घटनाएं लव जिहाद से जुड़ी न हों, हर केस में लड़के ने पहचान छुपाकर, लड़की से दोस्ती की हो, इसके सबूत नहीं मिलते, लेकिन ऐसी एक भी वारदात होती है, तो बात बहुत दूर तक जाती है. फिर बाक़ी घटनाओं को भी इसी नज़र से देखा जाता है. इसलिए समस्या गंभीर और पेचीदा है. अगर दिल्ली वाली घटना को देखें, यदि साहिल के हाथ पर कलावा न होता, उसके गले में रुद्राक्ष न मिलता, तो बात इतनी न बढ़ती. इसे एक जघन्य अपराध मानकर इसकी जांच होती लेकिन, अब इस केस का दायरा बड़ा हो गया है. बजरंग दल समेत कई संगठन इसमें कूद पड़े हैं. हालांकि ये बात सही है कि इस समस्या का इलाज हिन्दू सेना, एंटी रोमियो फोर्स या मुस्लिम फोर्स बनाने से नहीं होगा. इसका एक ही इलाज है. माता-पिता अपने बच्चों को अच्छे- बुरे, सही-गलत का फर्क बताएं, उनसे बात करें. बच्चों में इतना भरोसा पैदा करें कि वो हर बात अपने मां-बाप से शेयर कर सकें. और इसके साथ-साथ उलेमा और मौलाना भी मुस्लिम लड़कों को समझाएं कि पहचान छुपाकर, किसी को धोखा देकर उससे रिश्ता बनाना ठीक नहीं है, तभी इस तरह की समस्या से बचा सकता है. वरना इस तरह के मामले समाज में दूरियां बढ़ाएंगे.

सरकार पहलवानों से बातचीत शुरू करे

जिस तरह पहलवान मंगलवार को अपने मेडल लेकर गंगा में बहाने हरिद्वार पहुंचे, जिस तरह मेडल गोद में रखकर वो रोते दिखाई दिए, ये दृश्य दु:खी करने वाला था. ये सोच कर ही तकलीफ़ हो रही थी कि देश की शान बढ़ाने वाले ये मेडल अगर वाक़ई में पानी में बहा दिए गए, तो कितना बड़ा नुक़सान हो जाएगा. मैं तो नरेश टिकैत की तारीफ़ करूंगा, जिन्होंने हमारे चैंपियंस को समझाया और उन्हें मेडल गंगा में बहाने से रोका. असल में पहलवानों को लगता है कि सरकार में कोई उनकी बात सुनने को तैयार नहीं है. उन्हें लगता है कि सारी सरकार बृजभूषण शरण सिंह को बचाने में लगी है. पहलवानों को लगता है कि पुलिस के बल पर उनकी आवाज़ को दबाया जा रहा है, इसलिए उन्हें जहां से भी सहारा मिलता है, जहां से भी उम्मीद की किरण दिखाई देती है, वो उसके पास पहुंच जाते हैं, जो भी उनकी आवाज़ उठाने को तैयार होता है, वो उसी से बात करने को तैयार हो जाते हैं. इस चक्कर में, बहुत सारे ऐसे लोग पहलवानों के इस आंदोलन में घुस गए हैं, जो उनकी तकलीफ़, उनके ग़ुस्से का फ़ायदा उठाना चाहते हैं. इन सारी बातों का एक ही हल है. खेल मंत्रालय में सर्वोच्च स्तर पर पहल की जाए. इन पहलवानों से बात हो, उन्हें भरोसा दिलाया जाए कि सरकार उनके ख़िलाफ़ नहीं है, उनके मान-सम्मान की रक्षा की जाएगी. मुझे लगता है जब तक पहलवानों के साथ कम्युनिकेशन गैप बना रहेगा, ये बात और बिगड़ती रहेगी.

मणिपुर : आपसी बातचीत ही एकमात्र हल

पिछले एक महीने से हिंसा के शिकार मणिपुर में हालात धीरे-धीरे बेहतर हो रहे हैं. मंगलवार को मणिपुर के 11 ज़िलों में कर्फ्यू में छह घंटे की ढील देनी शुरू की गई. जब राजधानी इम्फाल में कर्फ्यू में ढील दी गई, तो लोग ज़रूरी सामान ख़रीदने बाहर निकले. बाज़ारों में हालात सामान्य दिखे. मणिपुर में तीन मई से शुरू हुई हिंसा में अब तक 80 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है, हिंसा, लूट-पाट और आग़ज़नी के आरोप में नौ हज़ार से ज़्यादा लोगों को गिरफ़्तार किया गया है. हिंसा में बेघर हुए 10 हज़ार से ज़्यादा लोगों को आर्मी कैम्प्स में रखा गया है. गृह मंत्री अमित शाह मणिपुर में लगातार अलग-अलग गुटों और नेताओं से बातचीत कर रहे हैं. उन्होंने सभी से अपील की कि वे कम से कम दो हफ्ते के लिए शांति बनाये रखें, सरकार उनकी मांगों पर ज़रूर गौर करेगी. मणिपुर में हिंसा की वजह बहुत पुरानी है. यहां मैतेई समुदाय का कुकी समुदाय के साथ दशकों से झगड़ा चल रहा है. अब बात इसलिए बढ़ गई क्योंकि कोर्ट ने सरकार को मैतई समुदाय को जनजाति या ट्राइबल दर्जा दिए जाने की मांग पर विचार करने का आदेश दे दिया. इसका कुकी समुदाय विरोध करता रहा है. दूसरा कारण राज्य सरकार का वो आदेश है जिसमें एन बीरेंद्र सिंह की सरकार ने जंगलों पर हो रहे अतिक्रमण के खिलाफ अभियान शुरू करने की बात कही. चूंकि जंगली इलाक़ों में कुकी-नगा समुदाय के लोग रहते हैं, इसलिए इसका विरोध शुरू हुआ और धीरे-धीरे ये मामला मैतेई समुदाय और कुकी समुदाय के आपसी संघर्ष में तब्दील हो गया. हालात ऐसे हो गए कि स्थिति को संभालने के लिए अर्धसैनिक बलों के साथ-साथ सेना और असम राइफल्स के जवान तैनात किए गए.चीफ ऑफ डिफेन्स स्टाफ जनरल अनिल चौहान ने कहा कि मणिपुर की हिंसा दो समुदायों के झगड़े का नतीजा है और इसका हल बातचीत से ही होगा. मुझे लगता है कि CDS जनरल अनिल चौहान की बात सही है कि मैतेई समुदाय और कुकी समुदाय दोनों हमारे ही भाई हैं, इसलिए दोनों पक्षों की बात सुनकर कोई हल निकालना चाहिए.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s youth outfit Bajrang Dal has announced that it would set up “Anti-Romeo Force” to protect Hindu daughters if police fails to stop incidents of ‘love jihad’. Surender Jain, the joint general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad said on Tuesday, his community can no longer sit and watch silently as Hindu daughters are stabbed and stoned to death. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head priest of Bageshwar Dham said, time has come for all Hindus to unite and protect their daughters. Such remarks may appear ordinary, but they indicate a serious issue on which Indians should sit down and think. After a jilted Muslim lover Sahil stabbed a Hindu girl Sakshi to death, it was found that he was wearing ‘kalaava’ (red or black sacred thread worn on wrist by Hindus) and a ‘rudraksh mala’ to fool the girl that he was a Hindu. Reports of ‘love jihad’ cases have come from Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Uttarkashi, Patna, Meerut, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Kanpur and Bikaner. The thread is common. In all these cases, Muslim youths enticed Hindu girls, while some of them were forcibly converted after being abducted. In Shahjahanpur, a Muslim youth Naved posed as a Hindu, befriended a Hindu girl, made videos and, through blackmail, forced her to convert to Islam. When the girl told her family, Naved allegedly gave her poison leading to her death. There was tension in the town after Hindu outfits took out protest march. In Uttarkashi, two Muslim youths tried to kidnap a Hindu girl, but when people stopped them and asked questions, the girl revealed that she was being abducted. In Aliganj locality of Lucknow, a Muslim youth Arbaaz, who was trying to force a girl in his college for marriage, threatened her and threw stones at her home on May 26. Arbaaz has gone underground and police is on the lookout. There are similar cases from other cities too. I think, the entire issue is not political. One should think seriously. When there are cases involving a Muslim male and a Hindu female, the question of ‘love jihad’ naturally arises. Whether it was Aftaab, who brutally murdered Shradha Walker or Sahil, who stabbed Sakshi multiple times, such horrendous murders are bound to create scars in the minds of the community. A few years ago, when similar ‘love jihad’ cases occurred in Kerala with Christian girls, priests raised their voice. A few days ago, people from Jain community also staged protests against ‘love jihad’. We have to understand: it may be that all these cases may not be connected with ‘love jihad’ where the boys hid their identity to entice the girl, but when one such case occurs, it has wide repercussions. Other cases are also seen through this binary. Since the issue is grave and complicated, particularly in the Delhi murder case where the killer was wearing ‘kalaava’ and ‘rudraksh mala’, the sphere of investigation has become wider from a routine murder. Now outfits like Bajrang Dal have joined the debate. It is right to say that setting up a Hindu Sena or Anti-Romeo Force or Anti-Muslim Force is not the solution. The only solution is: parents should tell their children the difference between good and evil. They should talk to their offsprings, create trust so that their children should share facts about their friends. It is also the responsibility of ulema (Muslim clerics) to teach Muslim youths not to strike friendship with Hindu girls by hiding their identities. This is the only way to avoid a grave problem, otherwise such incidents can widen the chasm between both the communities.

GOVT MUST BEGIN FRESH TALKS WITH WRESTLERS

Visuals of medal winning wrestlers reaching Haridwar to ‘immerse’ their medals on Tuesday were really sad. Most of the wrestlers and their relatives were weeping. It makes one sad to watch these players, who had won laurels for the country, going to river Ganga to immerse their hard-won medals. I would rather praise farmer leader Naresh Tikait who went to Haridwar, persuaded the wrestlers not to take the extreme step and promised to bring about a solution in five days. There is a sense of comprehension among the protesting wrestlers that nobody in the government is willing to listen to them. They feel the entire government machinery is trying to protect the Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The wrestlers feel, their voice is being throttled through use of police force. This is the reason why they find rays of hope when other personalities reach out to them to offer support. When such leaders promise to raise their voice, the wrestlers are eager to speak to them. But, in the process, there are many who have infiltrated the movement of wrestlers and are trying to take advantage of their anger and grievances. There is only one solution which I can suggest. An initiative must begin from highest level in Sports Ministry, talks should begin with the wrestlers, they must be convinced that the government is not against them and their honour will be protected. I think, so long as the communication gap will remain, matters can deteriorate.

MANIPUR: TALKS BETWEEN KUKIS AND MEITEIS, THE ONLY WAY OUT

With nearly 100 persons, including 30 Kuki militants, killed, roughly 200 injured and almost 50,000 people rendered homeless, the situation in Manipur is slowly limping back to normal. Home Minister Amit Shah is holding a series of meetings to bring the warring Kuki and Meitei communities together. He has appealed to both sides to ensure peace for a fortnight before their demands are taken up. Kuki community leaders have demanded President’s Rule and setting up of a separate hill administration for tribals. The reasons behind tension between both communities are several decades old. The situation was aggravated by a High Court order asking government to consider giving Scheduled Tribe status to Meitei community, which is being opposed by Kukis. The second main reason is Chief Minister N. Birendra Singh’s government order to launch anti-encroachment drive in forests, inhabited by Kuki and Naga communities. There was widespread mob violence, with militants looting armouries and using AK-47 and M-16 rifles to attack civilians. Army, Assam Rifles and paramilitary forces had to be rushed to quell violence. Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan has said that any solution between the two communities can be achieved only through negotiations. I think Gen. Anil Chauhan is right when he says that both Meitei and Kuki communities are our brothers and talks are the only way out.

एक सोलह साल की बेटी की मौत दिल में खौफ पैदा करती है. तस्वीरें देखकर दिल कांप जाता है. बार-बार ये सवाल दिमाग में आता है कि कोई इंसान इतना बेरहम, इतना क्रूर कैसे हो सकता है? आफताब और श्रद्धा वालकर का केस अभी अंजाम तक नहीं पहुंचा है. अभी अपराधी को सज़ा नहीं मिली है और आज उसी तरह का केस हुआ. साहिल ने साक्षी को सरेआम चाकू से गोद डाला. ये पुलिस के लिए एक मर्डर केस हो सकता है, लेकिन समाज के लिए ये ख़ौफ़ पैदा करने वाली घटना है. आज हर माता पिता को अपनी बेटी की सुरक्षा की चिंता होगी. उनके पास इस बात का कोई जवाब नहीं है कि अपनी बेटी को बचाने के लिए करें, तो क्या करें. साक्षी के साथ जो कुछ हुआ उसका ब्यौरा देखकर, रोंगटे खड़े हो जाते हैं. सबसे पहली बात, साहिल ने अपनी पहचान छुपाकर उससे दोस्ती की (वह अपनी कलाई पर कलावा पहनता था). दूसरी, साक्षी की मां की बात सुनकर ऐसा लगा कि उन्हें साक्षी और साहिल की दोस्ती की जानकारी थी. उन्होंने बेटी को रोका तो बेटी दोस्त के घर रहने चली गई. श्रद्धा वालकर के केस में भी ऐसा ही हुआ था. तीसरी बात, साहिल ने सरेआम साक्षी को मौत के घाट उतार दिया और लोग देखते रहे, किसी ने उसे रोकने की कोशिश नहीं की. ये कैसा समाज है? ये कैसे लोग हैं? क्या उन्हें एक बेटी की चीख़ सुनाई नहीं दी? क्या इस बेटी पर चाकू के वार होते देखकर, उनका दिल नहीं कांपा? ये बहुत चिंता की बात है. सब लोगों को ये समझना पड़ेगा कि अगर किसी ने हिम्मत दिखाई होती तो साक्षी को बचाया जा सकता था. इस तरह की वारदात को देखकर कोई अनदेखा कैसे कर सकता है? शोर मचाना चाहिए था, लोगों को इकट्ठा करना चाहिए था. अपराधी अकेला था, उसे रोकने की कोशिश भी करनी चाहिए थी. एक बार ये सोचना चाहिए था कि आपकी बेटी के साथ भी ऐसा हो सकता है. इस घटना से बच्चों को सबक लेना चाहिए कि माता पिता से बातचीत करना बंद न करें. कोई भी बात हो घर वालों से न छिपाएं. अगर साक्षी ने मां की बात सुनी होती, अगर साहिल उसे तंग कर रहा था, धमका रहा था, ये बात उसने अपने पिता को बताई होती, तो हो सकता है कि वक्त रहते वो कुछ करते, पुलिस को खबर देते, तो आज ये दिन न देखना पड़ता. माता पिता को भी चाहिए कि वो बच्चों की बात सुनें, उनकी भावनाओं को समझें, उन्हें प्यार से समझाएं, अच्छे बुरे का फर्क बताएं. ऐसा नहीं होना चाहिए कि बच्चे, माता पिता के बजाय दूसरों पर भरोसा करने लगें. साक्षी के केस में ऐसा ही हुआ. उसने माता पिता के बजाय, दोस्त पर यकीन किया, उसके घर चली गई. चूंकि साक्षी का परिवार के साथ संपर्क बंद था, इसीलिए साहिल की हिम्मत बढ़ी. उसने साक्षी को अकेली पाकर उस पर हमला किया. और सबसे जरूरी बात – अपराधियों के मन में खौफ पैदा करना पुलिस की जिम्मेदारी है. दिल्ली पुलिस को इसके बारे में सोचना चाहिए. अब साक्षी को वापस तो नहीं लाया जा सकता लेकिन दिल्ली पुलिस जल्दी से जल्दी साहिल को ऐसी सजा दिलवाए, जिससे इस तरह की दरिंदगी करने से पहले कोई भी सौ बार सोचे.

पहलवानों के साथ पुलिस की बदसलूकी ग़लत है

हमारी चैंपियन पहलवानों का मामला इस कदर बिगड़ गया है कि इसे संभालना अब किसी के लिए भी मुश्किल होगा. इसमें हर कोई अपने अपने स्तर पर ज़िम्मेदार है. कहीं न कहीं इसका दोषी है. सबसे बड़ी बात ये है कि पुलिस को पहलवान बेटियों के साथ इस तरह ज़ोर ज़बरदस्ती नहीं करनी चाहिए थी, उन्हें सड़क पर घसीटना नहीं चाहिए था. बल प्रयोग की ये तस्वीरें ग़ुस्सा दिलाती हैं. जो भी देखेगा, उसकी हमदर्दी इन पहलवानों के साथ होगी. अगर तर्क ये है कि पहलवानों ने पुलिस से अनुमति लिए के बिना संसद जाने की कोशिश की, क़ानून को तोड़ा और पुलिस के लिए उन्हें रोकना ज़रूरी था, तो सवाल उठता है, क्या इसके लिए इस तरह बल का प्रयोग करना ज़रूरी था? इस मामले में सबसे ज़्यादा ग़लती बृजभूषण शरण सिंह की है, जो अपने बयानों से खिलाड़ियों को भड़का रहे हैं, उन्हें चिढ़ा रहे हैं. उन्हें अपनी ज़ुबान पर लगाम लगानी चाहिए और मामले को और उलझाना नहीं चाहिए. ग़लती खेल मंत्रालय की भी है, जिसने मामले को इतना बढ़ने दिया. ऐसी क्या मजबूरी थी कि समय रहते, इस मामले को सुलझाया नहीं गया? आज ये कहना कि पहलवान राजनीतिक खेल का शिकार हो गए, बेमानी है. ये पहलवान तो शुरु से ही नेताओं को अपने से दूर रख रहे थे, इन्हें राजनीतिक हाथों में क्यों जाने दिया गया? कोई भी समस्या न तो पुलिस की ताक़त से सुलझ सकती है, न टेंट उखाड़ने से. ये मानना पड़ेगा कि जनता की नज़र में बृजभूषण शरण सिंह एक बाहुबली नेता हैं, जिसकी कोई विश्वसनीयता नहीं है. दूसरी तरफ़ ये पहलवान, देश को मेडल दिलाने वाली बेटियां हैं, चैंपियन हैं, लोगों की सहानुभूति उनके साथ है.

The horrendous killing of a 16-year-old girl Sakshi in Shahbad Dairy locality of Delhi, has shocked the nation. The visuals of the killer stabbing the girl multiple times and then crushing her head with a stone, as people looked on, has created fear in the minds of people. The question that frequently arises is: How can a person become so cruel and merciless? The brutal murder case of Shradha Walker by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawala is yet to reach its conclusion in courts, the killer is yet to be sentenced, and now this fresh incident of brutal murder. The killer Sahil stabbed Sakshi with a knife multiple times and then smashed her head with a stone. For the police, this may be a case of murder, but for the society, at large, this incident can strike fear. Every parent today may be worrying about his or her daughter. They do not know what to do to protect their daughters. Going through details of this diabolical murder can make anybody’s hair stand on end. Firstly, Sahil hid his identity to strike friendship with Sakshi (he wore a ‘kalawa’(red or black thread) that Hindus wear on their wrists); Secondly, Sakshi’s mother knew that her daughter and Sahil were friends, and when she prevented her, she went to her friend’s home to stay (the same happened in the case of Shradha Walker); Thirdly, Sahil stabbed Sakshi multiple times on a street and people watched, doing nothing. Nobody tried to stop him. What type of society are we living in? Didn’t people hear the screams of the daughter? Didn’t people tremble in fear on watching the girl being stabbed not once, but 34 times? This is a matter of grave concern. People must understand that even if one onlooker had shown the courage, Sakshi could have been saved. How can anybody, watching this gory murder, turn a blind eye? People could have at least created a big hue and cry. A crowd could have collected. The killer was alone and there could have been attempts to overpower him. At least the onlookers should have thought, this could have happened to their daughters. Teenagers should learn a lesson: Never stop communication with your parents; Do not hide your confidential matters from your family. Had Sakshi listened to her mother’s advice, had she told her that Sahil was harassing and intimidating him, fad she told her father, he could have done something in time and inform the police. The family would not have seen this day. I have some advice for parents too: Listen to your children. Understand their feelings. Try to persuade them with words of love. Tell them the difference between good and evil. Situation should not arise where children start trusting outsiders instead of their parents. This happened in the case of Sakshi. She trusted her friend instead of her parents, and went to stay with her friend. Since the communication with her family was closed, the killer gained courage and attacked Sakshi, finding her alone. And the most important point: It is the responsibility of police to strike fear in the minds of criminals. Delhi Police must think on those lines. Sakshi will not return, but Delhi Police must ensure the fastest and most stringent punishment for Sahil, so that any criminal may think a hundred times before committing such a heinous crime.

USE OF POLICE FORCE AGAINST WRESTLERS IS UNACCEPTABLE

The case of our champion women wrestlers has now become so topsy-turvy, that it could be difficult for anybody to iron out the case. Everybody is responsible to some extent. The most crucial point is: Delhi Police should not have misbehaved with the women wrestlers, who brought glory to our country. They should not have been dragged on the streets. Visuals of police personnel using force on the women wrestlers cause anger. Anybody watching these visuals will definitely have sympathy for these wrestlers, who are seeking justice. If the argument is put forth that the wrestlers tried to march towards Parliament without seeking police permission, that they broke the law, and police had to stop them, the question arises: Was use of force necessary in such a situation? The biggest culprit is the Wrestling Federation of India chief, and the villain of the piece, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. His statements were irking and taunting for the players. He must stop making such remarks immediately, and prevent the matter from being tangled further. Even the Sports Ministry has committed mistake by allowing the matter to drag on. What was the compulsion that the case could not be resolved in time? To say today that the players are now caught in a political game, is useless. These players had been keeping politicians away from their sit-in at Jantar Mantar since the beginning. Why was their protest allowed to go into the hands of politicians? No problem can be solved by using police force or by forcibly removing the tents of protesters. One must understand that in the eyes of people, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is a ‘bahubali’ politician, having no credibility. On the other hand, we have our women wrestlers, our brave daughters, champions, who brought glory to our country by winning medals. The common man’s sympathy is with the female wrestlers.

नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन होने में 24 घंटे से भी कम समय बचे हैं . नया संसद भवन इतना भव्य, खूबसूरत और आधुनिक बना है कि विरोधी दलों के नेता भी उसकी तारीफ किए वगैर नहीं रह पाए, लेकिन अब इतिहास को लेकर नया विवाद शुरू हो गया. कांग्रेस ने लोकसभा में सत्ता के हस्तांरण के प्रतीक सैंगोल को स्थापित करने का विरोध किया है. कांग्रेस का कहना है कि सैंगोल का 1947 के सत्ता हस्तांतरण से कोई लेना देना नहीं है.. ये प्रतीक तमिलनाडु के संतों ने पंडित नेहरू को गिफ्ट किया था, अंग्रेजों ने आजादी के वक्त सैंगोल के जरिए पावर ट्रांसफर नहीं किया था, इसलिए इसे इतना महत्व देने की जरूरत नहीं है. जवाब में बीजेपी ने कहा कि चूंकि सैंगोल हिन्दू शैव परंपरा का प्रतीक है., शिव के उपासकों की तरफ से उपहार दिया गया था., .सैंगोल पर नंदी विराजमान हैं, इसीलिए कांग्रेस इसका विरोध कर रही है, क्योंकि कांग्रेस हिन्दू विरोधी है. सेंगोल को लेकर कांग्रेस का ऐतराज ये है कि इसका सत्ता के हस्तांतरण से कोई लेना देना नहीं है, सेंगोल पंडित नेहरू को तमिलनाडू के साधु संतों ने दिया था, न कि अंग्रेज वायसराय माउंटबैटन ने. मुझे लगता है कि मुद्दा ये नहीं है कि नेहरू जी को सेंगोल किसने दिया था? मुद्दा ये है कि 1947 में आजादी के वक्त नेहरू जी को सैंगोल क्यों दिया गया था? कांग्रेस के नेता इस बात से इंकार नहीं कर सकते कि सैंगोल चोल साम्राज्य में सत्ता के हस्तांतरण का प्रतीक था, नए राजा को दिया जाता था. इस बात से भी कांग्रेस के नेता इंकार नहीं कर सकते कि 14 अगस्त 1947 को सेंगोल लेकर आए साधु संतों को ट्रेन से दिल्ली बुलाया गया था, अगले दिन भगवान को जिस जल से स्नान करवाया गया था, वो जल भी स्पेशल प्लेन से दिल्ली मंगवाया गया था. ये भी इतिहास में दर्ज है कि साधु संतों ने नेहरू जी को सौंपने से पहले गलती से सेंगोल को माउंटबैटन के हाथ में दे दिया, इसलिए उसे फिर गंगाजल से शुद्ध करके नेहरू जी के हाथ में आजाद भारत पर निष्ठा के साथ शासन करने के प्रतीक के तौर पर दिया गया. इसलिए ये कहना कि इसका इतिहास से कोई मतलब नहीं है, ये तो गलत है. सवाल ये भी है कि इतनी पवित्र वस्तु को नेहरू जी की वॉकिंग स्टिक बता कर 75 साल तक इलहाबाद के संग्राहलय में क्यों रखा गया? अब अगर नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इस सेंगोल को फिर से गरिमा लौटाई है, .लोकतन्त्र के सबसे बड़े मंदिर में स्पीकर के आसान के बगल में स्थापित करने का फैसला किया है, तो इसमें गलत क्या है? इसका विरोध क्यों? मुझे लगता है कि प्रोटेस्ट हो गया, विरोधी दलों ने अपनी बात दर्ज कर दी.. अब बेहतर होगा इस तरह की सियासत को किनारे रखकर इस एतिहासिक मौके पर सभी को शामिल होना चाहिए, इससे पूरी दुनिया में अच्छा संदेश जाएगा.

केजरीवाल को कांग्रेस का झटका

अरविन्द केजरीवाल शुक्रवार को दिन भर कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे और राहुल गांधी से मिलने का इंतजार करते रहे लेकिन कांग्रेस ने उन्हें वक्त ही नहीं दिया. सुबह सुबह केजरीवल ने ट्विटर पर लिखा था कि केन्द्र सरकार के अध्यादेश के खिलाफ वो कांग्रेस का सपोर्ट चाहते हैं .इसी सिलसिले में वो राहुल गांधी और खरगे से मिलेंगे, उन्होंने इसके लिए वक्त मांगा है. दोपहर में खबर आई कि खरगे ने केजरीवाल को शाम साढ़े पांच बजे का वक्त दिया है. खरगे के घर पर शाम चार बजे कर्नाटक में मंत्रिमंडल विस्तार पर चर्चा के लिए मीटिंग शुरू हुई. राहुल गांधी भी पहुंच गए, तो लगा कि इस मीटिंग के बाद केजरीवाल को बुलाया जाएगा. लेकिन मीटिंग खत्म होने के बाद कांग्रेस महासचिव के सी वेणुगोपाल से पूछा गया कि केजरीवाल की खरगे और राहुल गांधी से मुलाकात कब होगी, तो वेणुगोपाल ने कहा – कौन सी मीटिंग? उन्हें तो इस बात की जानकारी नहीं है कि केजरीवाल ने किसी मीटिंग के लिए औपचारिक अनुरोध किया है. वेणुगोपाल ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के दरवाजे खुले हैं. लेकिन पहले तो केजरीवाल की तरफ से बातचीत का औपचारिक प्रस्ताव आए, उसके बाद मुलाकात का वक्त तय होगा, और कांग्रेस केजरीवाल के समर्थन के मुद्दे पर दिल्ली और पंजाब यूनिट के लीडर्स से बात करके ही कोई फैसला लेगी. केजरीवाल के समर्थन के मुद्दे पर दिल्ली और पंजाब के कांग्रेस नेताओं की राय क्या है, ये अजय माकन, संदीप दीक्षित, प्रताप सिंह बाजवा और सुखजिंदर सिंह रंधावा कई बार बता चुके हैं. पवन खेड़ा ने कहा कि केजरीवाल कांग्रेस के नेताओं से वक्त मांगने से पहले माफी मांगें. उन्होंने कांग्रेस के नेताओं को लेकर पिछले कई सालों में जो उल्टे सीधे बयान दिए, उनपर खेद जताएं. अगर मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे ने दिल्ली और पंजाब के कांग्रेस के नेताओं की बात को तवज्जो दी, तो केजरीवाल को मुलाकात का वक्त तो देंगे, लेकिन केजरीवाल को कांग्रेस का सपोर्ट मिलेगा, इसकी उम्मीद कम है. न केजरीवाल माफी मांगेंगे और न कांग्रेस सपोर्ट करेगी .ये बात केजरीवाल भी जानते हैं .लेकिन वो मुलाकात का वक्त इसलिए मांग रहे हैं जिससे वो बाद में इल्जाम लगा सकें कि कांग्रेस विपक्ष की एकता में रोड़ा है. कांग्रेस की वजह से बीजेपी मजबूत हो रही है.

ममता ने किया ‘द डायरी ऑफ वेस्ट बंगाल’ फिल्म का विरोध

पश्चिंम बंगाल में एक नया विवाद शुरु हो गया है. द डायरी ऑफ वेस्ट बंगाल नाम की फिल्म का शुक्रवार को ट्रेलर जारी हुआ. उसके थोड़ी देर के बाद ही बंगाल की पुलिस ने फिल्म के डायरैक्टर प्रोड्यूसर को नोटिस भेज दिया. ये फिल्म पश्चिम बंगाल में हिन्दुओं पर हुए अत्याचार के इश्यू पर बनी है. फिल्म के प्रोडयूसर वसीम रिजवी का दावा है कि उन्होंने सच्ची घटनाओं पर आधारित फिल्म बनाई है..इसमें किसी तरह की कोई सियासत नहीं है. फिल्म के डायरेक्टर सनोज मिश्रा का कहना है कि उन्होंने तो बस सच दिखाया है, लेकिन बंगाल की पुलिस उनके साथ आतंकवादियों जैसा बर्ताव कर रही है, हो सकता है उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर लिया जाए या उनकी हत्या हो जाए, लेकिन वो डरने वाले नहीं है. फिल्म के ट्रेलर को लेकर ममता की पार्टी में जबरदस्त गुस्सा है. पार्टी के नेता कुणाल घोष ने कहा कि ये फिल्म बीजेपी का प्रोपेगैंडा टूल है. फिल्म के जरिए बीजेपी बंगाल में नफरत का माहौल बनाना चाहती है. ऐसी फिल्म बनाने वाले को तो जेल में बंद कर देना चाहिए. फिल्म अभी रिलीज नहीं हुई है, सिर्फ ट्रेलर जारी किया है. फिल्म को सेंसर बोर्ड ने मंजूरी दी है .इसलिए फिल्म रिलीज होने से पहले ही उसके प्रोड्यूसर डारेक्टर को नोटिस भेजना ठीक नहीं है. ममता ने इससे पहले द केरला स्टोरीज पर बैन लगाया था. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उनके इस फैसले को गैरकानूनी बताया था. मुझे लगता है कि कम से कम सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले से तो ममतो को सीखना चाहिए.

The new Parliament building will be inaugurated less than 24 hours from now, on Sunday, and already visuals of the new Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have amazed people across India. The new complex is a spectacular mix of tradition and modernity, and even opposition leaders could not restrain themselves from praising the new building. Already a controversy has cropped up about Sengol, the traditional five-feet-long golden sceptre used by the ancient Chola dynasty and handed over by Lord Mountbatten to Jawaharlal Nehru on the midnight of 14-15th August, 1947, to symbolize the transfer of power. While Congress leaders described this claim as bogus, BJP leaders hit back saying Congress hates India’s ancient tradition and culture. Congress leaders claim that Sengol had nothing to do with transfer of power in 1947. They say that Hindu saints from Tamil Nadu came to Delhi and handed over Sengol to Pandit Nehru, and it was not Lord Mountbatten who handed over the sceptre to Nehru. I think, the issue is not who gave the Sengol to Nehru. The issue is why Sengol was given to Nehru at the time of independence in 1947? Congress leaders cannot deny the fact that Sengol was the symbol of supremacy for the Chola dynasty, and it used to be handed over every time to the new monarch. Congress leaders cannot deny that the sadhus from the South were invited to come to Delhi by train to bring the Sengol, and the holy water used for bathing the Lord was also brought to Delhi by a special aircraft. It is also recorded in history that the sadhus, before handing over the sceptre to Nehru, mistakenly gave it first to Lord Mountbatten. It was again consecrated with holy Ganga water and then handed over to Nehru, as a symbol of independent India. To say that Sengol has no historical relevance is incorrect. The question is: why was the Sengol displayed in Allahabad museum for 75 years as Pandit Nehru’s ‘walking stick’? If Narendra Modi gave glory to Sengol again, in the biggest temple of Indian democracy, by installing it near the seat of Lok Sabha Speaker, what is wrong in it? Why is this move being opposed? I think, opposition parties have already registered their protest and put forth their arguments. It will be better if they participate in the historic inaugural ceremony of the new Parliament building, keeping political rivalry to the sidelines. This will send a good message to the entire world.

CONGRESS SNUB TO KEJRIWAL

Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal waited the whole day, on Friday, for an appointment to meet Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge, but it did not materialize. In the morning, he tweeted that he needed Congress support on the Delhi ordinance issue, and that he would meet Rahul Gandhi and Kharge. By afternoon, news came that Kharge gave 5.30 pm time to meet Kejriwal. At 4 pm, meeting began at Kharge’s residence to clear names of new Karnataka ministers. It was attended by Rahul Gandhi. But soon after the meeting, when party general secretary K C Venugopal was asked about the meeting with Kejriwal, he feigned ignorance. He said, our doors are open, but first Kejriwal should come with a formal proposal, and only then will a meeting be fixed. “Any decision on supporting Kejriwal will be taken after consulting Delhi and Punjab unit party leaders”, he added. Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said, Kejriwal should first apologize for the remarks that he made against party leaders in the past, and only then, a meeting will be fixed. It seems, Kharge will meet Kejriwal, but chances of Congress supporting Kejriwal are less. Neither Kejriwal will apologize for his past remarks, nor will the Congress extend support. Kejriwal knows this, but he is seeking a meeting, only to allege afterwards that it is the Congress which has become the main obstacle in the path of Opposition unity.

WHY MAMATA IS OPPOSING ‘THE DIARY OF WEST BENGAL’ MOVIE

In West Bengal, a fresh controversy has begun, after the trailer of a movie ‘The Diary of West Bengal’ was released, and soon after the state police sent the director Sanoj Mishra, a legal notice under Section 41A of Criminal Procedure Code to appear for interrogation. The movie highlights the ‘atrocities’ committed on Hindus in West Bengal. It was uploaded on YouTube a month ago, and is slated to hit the theatres in August. Director Sanoj Mishra claims, he has only shown the truth, but the state police is treating him like a terrorist. Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh said, this movie is a ‘propaganda tool’ of BJP, which wants to spread hatred among communities in Bengal. Such film makers should be jailed, he said. The movie is yet to be released, only the trailer has been released. The Central Board of Film Certification has approved this movie. To send a legal notice to the director and producer before a movie is released, is unjustified. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had earlier imposed ban on “The Kerala Story”, but the Supreme Court described it as illegal. I hope, Mamata Banerjee will at least learn from the Supreme Court verdict.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शुक्रवार को उस अर्ज़ी को सुनने से इंकार कर दिया जिसमें गुज़ारिश की गयी थी कि 28 मई को नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपति महोदया से कराने का निर्देश जारी किया जाय. दो अवकाशकालीन न्यायाधीशों जे के माहेश्वरी और पी एस नरसिम्हा ने कहा कि उन्हें पता है ये याचिका क्यों और कैसे दाखिल की गयी है. कोर्ट के इंकार करने के बाद याचक ने अपनी अर्ज़ी वापिस ले ली. नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 28 मई को करेंगे. 20 विपक्षी दलों ने समारोह का बहि,कार करने का ऐलान किया है, जबकि दूसरी तरफ 25 दलों ने कहा है कि उनके प्रतिनिधि समारोह में आएंगे. रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने विपक्ष से अपील की कि वह बहिष्कार के अपने फैसले को वापस ले, क्योंकि नया संसद भवन भारतीय लोकतंत्र का और सभी देशवासियों की अपेक्षाओं का प्रतीक है. नये संसद भवन को लेकर जो विवाद खड़ा किया गया है, उसके बारे में मैं तीन बातें साफ कहना चाहता हूं. पहली तो ये कि वर्तमान संसद भवन को बदलना जरूरी था, ये बात लोकसभा के दो पर्व अध्यक्षों, मीरा कुमार और शिवराज पाटिल ने कही थी. मोदी ने इस बात को समझा और एक नया अत्याधुनिक संसद भवन रिकॉर्ड समय के अंदर तैयार करवाया. ये अपने आप में किसी चमत्कार से कम नहीं है. दूसरी बात ये कि संसद भवन लोकसभा अध्यक्ष के अधिकार क्षेत्र में आता है, लोकसभा लोगों के सीधे वोट से बनती है, जनता की भावनाओं की प्रतीक है., अध्यक्ष ओम बिड़ला ने उद्घाटन करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री को आमंत्रित किया, इसमें कुछ भी गलत नहीं है. संसदीय व्यवस्था में सबसे ज्यादा अधिकार प्रधान मंत्री को दिये गये हैं. तो क्या प्रधानमंत्री एक बिल्डिंग का उद्घाटन नहीं कर सकते ? तीसरी बात ये कि इसमें राष्ट्रपति के अपमान का तो दूर दूर तक कोई सवाल ही नहीं उठता है. प्रधानमंत्री को बुलाना राष्ट्रपति का निरादर कैसे हो सकता है? ऐसा नहीं है कि विरोधी दलों के नेता इन बातों को नहीं समझते, वो सब जानते है, पर चुनाव सिर पर हैं. विरोधी दलों के ज्यादातर नेता मोदी से परेशान हैं, मोदी के आगे बेबस भी हैं. निजी बातचीत में सब मानते हैं कि 2024 में मोदी फिर जीतेंगे. यही परेशानी का सबब है. सबकी कोशिश है कि किसी तरह मोदी की छवि बिगाड़ी जाए, मोदी को दलित-आदिवासी विरोधी कहो, अमीरों का दोस्त कहो, लोकतंत्र का हत्यारा कहो, शायद कुछ चिपक जाए. दुनिया के सबसे बड़े, सबसे जीवन्त लोकतन्त्र में अगर कोई ये कहे कि देश में लोकतन्त्र मर चुका है., तो उसकी नासमझी पर क्या कहा जाए? ये मोदी के प्रति नफरत की पराकाष्ठा है, ये स्वस्थ लोकतन्त्र के लिए घातक है. मुझे सबसे अच्छी बात पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री देवेगौड़ा की लगी. देवेगौड़ा की पार्टी जेडीएस भी विपक्ष में है. NDA के खिलाफ है, नरेन्द्र मोदी की विरोधी है, लेकिन देवेगौड़ा ने कहा कि नयी संसद का जो भवन बना है, वह कोई बीजेपी का दफ्तर नहीं है, जिसका विरोध किया जाए या जिसके उद्घाटन का बॉयकॉट किया जाए. नया संसद भवन बीजेपी का नहीं, पूरे देश का है, इसलिए इसके उद्घाटन में सबको शामिल होना चाहिए, उनकी पार्टी इसका हिस्सा बनेगी. देवेगौड़ा ने बीजेपी के प्रति विरोध भी जता दिया और लोकतान्त्रिक परंपराओं का सम्मान भी कर दिया. लोकतन्त्र में यही होना चाहिए लेकिन कांग्रेस और उसके साथ खड़े दूसरे दल ये नहीं कर पाएंगे, क्योंकि उनका मकसद राष्ट्रपति का सम्मान नहीं, मोदी का विरोध है. नरेन्द्र मोदी से उन्हें इतनी नफरत है कि वो किसी भी हद तक जा सकते हैं. कभी कभी लगता है कि कांग्रेस वाकई में प्रधानमंत्री के पद को अपनी विरासत अपनी संपत्ति मानती है , उस कुर्सी पर कोई और बैठे, ये एक परिवार को रास नहीं आता.

क्या राहुल गांधी विपक्ष के पीएम उम्मीदवार बनेंगे ?
लगता है कांग्रेस अब इस जल्दी में हैं कि किसी तरह राहुल गांधी को प्रधानमंत्री पद का दावेदार घोषित कर दिया जाए. गुरुवार को इसकी शुरुआत हुई . कांग्रेस के सांसद मणिकम टैगोर ने कहा है कि यही सही वक्त है जब विपक्ष की तरफ से राहुल गांधी को प्रधानमंत्री पद का उम्मीदवार घोषित कर देना चाहिए, .क्योंकि विरोधी दलों में जो प्रधानमंत्री पद के दावेदार हैं, लोकप्रियता के मामले राहुल गांधी उन सबसे बहुत आगे हैं. अपनी बात को साबित करने के लिए मणिकम टैगोर ने CSDS के सर्वे का हवाला दिया. उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस ने राहुल गांधी को पीएम उम्मीदवार घोषित नहीं किया लेकिन फिर भी CSDS के सर्वे में उन्हें 27 परसेंट लोग पीएम उम्मीदवार के तौर पर देखना चाहते हैं. मणिकम टैगोर ने कहा, हमें ये बात समझनी चाहिए क्योंकि नयी पीढी 30 साल से कम उम्र की है, वो अब पीएम उम्मीदवार को लेकर च्वाइस चाहती है, 2019 में हमने किसी को पीएम उम्मीदवार के तौर पर पेश न करके गलती की थी. मणिकम टैगोर ने कहा कि ममता बनर्जी को सिर्फ 4 परसेंट लोग पीएम उम्मीदवार के तौर पर पसंद करते हैं , और नरेंद्र मोदी को 41 परसेंट लोग पसंद करते हैं. राहुल को 27 परसेंट लोग हसंद करते हैं, इसमें सिर्फ 14 परसेंट का अंतर है, अगर राहुल गांधी को पीएम उम्मीदवार घोषित कर दिया जाय, तो ये अन्तर कम किया जा सकता है. महाराष्ट्र कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले ने मणिकम टैगोर की बात का समर्तन किया. नाना पटोले ने कहा कि बीजेपी ने राहुल गांधी की छवि बिगाड़ने की बहुत कोशिश की लेकिन उसे कामयाबी नहीं मिली, उल्टे राहुल गांधी की लोकप्रियता बढ़ी है., इसलिए उन्हें पीएम उम्मीदवार घोषित करने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होनी चाहिए. कांग्रेस की तरफ से इस तरह की बयानबाजी को मोदी विरोधी मोर्चे में शामिल पार्टियों ने कोई तवज्जोह नहीं दी. एनसीपी के अध्यक्ष शरद पवार ने कहा कि फिलहाल इन सब बातों का कोई मतलब नहीं है क्योंकि अभी फोकस इस पर है कि बीजेपी के खिलाफ सभी विरोधी दलों को एक साथ एक मंच पर लाया जाए, पहले इस पर सहमति बन जाए, प्रधानमंत्री पद का चेहरा कौन होगा, ये तो बाद की बात है. विरोधी दलों के नेता भले ही कांग्रेस की तरफ से छोड़े गए इस शिगूफे से थोड़े अहसज हों, लेकिन बीजेपी के नेता इससे खुश हैं. बीजेपी के नेताओं का कहना है कि अगर कांग्रेस की ये मुराद पूरा हो जाती है., तो 2024 में बीजेपी के लिए इससे अच्छा कुछ नहीं होगा, क्योंकि एक तरफ नरेन्द्र मोदी का चेहरा होगा, दूसरी तरफ राहुल गांधी का. फिर तो लोगों को फैसला करने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होगी. मज़े की बात ये है कि बीजेपी के नेता अपनी बात को सही साबित करने के लिए ममता बनर्जी और शरद पवार के पुराने बयानों का हवाला दे रहे हैं, क्योंकि इन दोनों नेताओं ने कहा था कि राहुल गांधी में वो परिपक्वता नहीं है, राहुल गांधी की वैसी स्वीकार्यता नहीं है. राहुल के नेतृत्व में मोदी का मुकाबला नामुमकिन है लेकिन शरद पवार से राहुल गांधी की दावेदारी को लेकर जब सवाल किया गया तो वो इस बात को टाल गए क्योंकि उनके पास अरविन्द केजरीवाल बैठे थे, जो दिल्ली संबंधी केन्द्र के अध्य़ादेश के खिलाफ अपनी मुहिम में पवार का समर्थन मांगने आये थे.

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a PIL seeking direction that the new Parliament building be inaugurated by the President. The vacation bench of Justice J K Maheshwari and P S Narasimha said, the court understands why and how this petition was filed and it was not inclined to entertain this petition under Article 32 of Constitution. The petitioner had said that since President possesses power to summon and prorogue Parliament or dissolve the Lok Sabha, she should not be kept away from the inauguration of the new Parliament building, scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appealed to the 20 opposition parties boycotting the inauguration to “rethink their decision, as the new Parliament building is a symbol of democracy and aspirations of all Indians”. On the other hand, 25 political parties, including several opposition parties, have agreed to attend the ceremony. On this controversy, I would like to make three points: One, the old Parliament building is in a state of disrepair and needs to be replaced, and building of a new complex was demanded by two former Lok Sabha Speakers Shivraj Patil and Meira Kumar. Modi realized this and built a new hi-tech modern Parliament building in record time. This is nothing short of a miracle. Two: Parliament House falls under the LS Speaker’s jurisdiction. The Lok Sabha is elected directly by the people and it is a symbol of popular aspirations. The present Speaker Om Birla invited Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the new building. There was nothing wrong in this. In a Parliamentary system of government, maximum powers are given to the Prime Minister. Can’t a Prime Minister inaugurate a building? Three, there is no question of insulting the office of President, even by a long shot. How can inviting the PM be called an insult to the President? It is not that opposition leaders do not understand these points. They know, but since LS elections are due next year, and since most of the opposition parties are worried about Modi, they feel helpless. In personal conversations, they all agree that Modi will win 2024 general elections, and this is the main reason for their worries. These leaders are trying to ensure that Modi’s image gets a beating, so that he can be portrayed as anti-Dalit and anti-Adivasi, pro-rich and murderer of democracy. At least they hope some of these charges may stick at the time of elections. Some opposition leaders have been alleging that democracy is dead in India. India is the world’s biggest and most lively democracy. What can one say about such foolish remarks. This is the depth of their hatred towards Modi, and this attitude is dangerous for a healthy democracy. I liked former PM and Janata Dal(Secular) chief H D Deve Gowda’s remark. He is opposed to Modi’s policies, but on Thursday, he said, “one must understand that this is a new Parliament building, it is not a BJP office, which one should oppose and boycott. The new Parliament building does not belong to BJP, it belongs to the nation, and built with people’s money. Everybody should participate in its inauguration ceremony”. Deve Gowda said, his party JD(S) will take part in the inauguration. In a single remark, Deve Gowda opposed BJP’s policies and accorded respect to democratic traditions. This is the norm in a democracy, but Congress and other opposition parties will not follow this norm. Their motive is not to accord respect to the President, but to register their protest against Modi. In their hate for Modi, they can go to any extent. Sometimes one feels whether Congress feels it is its birthright to occupy the post of Prime Minister. Probably, it does not want any other leader to sit in the PM’s chair except members of one family.

CAN RAHUL BE PROJECTED AS PM CANDIDATE?

Two Congress leaders, Manickam Tagore and Nana Patole, on Thursday said, Rahul Gandhi must be projected as PM candidate for 2024 general elections. To substantiate his demand, Manickam Tagore cited a CSDS survey which said, 27 per cent people want to see Rahul Gandhi as PM candidate. The survey shows, only four per cent are in favour of Mamata Banerjee as PM candidate, 41 per cent back Narendra Modi for the top position. Clearly Rahul Gandhi is 14 per cent behind Modi in popularity ratings. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole supported Manickam Tagore’s demand and said there should be no difficulty in projecting Rahul as PM candidate. Other opposition parties in the yet to be floated anti-Modi front have ignored this demand till now. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar said, at present our focus should be on how to bring all non-BJP parties on a single platform. “Let all parties come together. Who will be the PM face, will be decided later”, Pawar said. Though opposition parties may feel uneasy with the suggestion floated from Congress camp, BJP leaders are happy. BJP leaders say, if Rahul Gandhi is projected as PM candidate, it would be nothing short of a boon for BJP in 2024. They say, people of India will then have no difficulty in choosing between Modi and Rahul. One interesting point is, BJP leaders cited past remarks of Mamata Banerjee and Sharad Pawar to prove their point. Both Mamata and Pawar had remarked about “lack of maturity” on part of Rahul Gandhi. They had questioned about his acceptability among the people. On Thursday, when Pawar was pointedly asked about Rahul, he sidestepped the question. Sitting beside him was AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal who had come to seek support from NCP in his fight against the Centre’s Delhi-related ordinance.

विपक्षी दल नये संसद भवन के उद्घाटन के मौके का इस्तेमाल आपसी एकता दिखाने के लिए करने वाले हैं. कांग्रेस सहित 19 पार्टियों ने एलान कर दिया कि वो रविवार को होने जा रहे समारोह का बॉयकॉट करेंगे. एक साझा बयान में कहा गया है कि चूंकि राष्ट्रपति देश की संवैधानिक प्रमुख हैं, संसद के अभिभाज्य अंग है, इसलिए संसद के नय़े भवन का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपति के हाथों होना चाहिए. इन पार्टियों ने कहा, चूंकि प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी उद्घाटन करेंगे, ये राष्ट्रपति का अपमान है, इसलिए 19 विरोधी दलों का कोई नेता इस प्रोग्राम में शामिल नहीं होगा, बीजेपी के नेतृत्व में एन डी ए ने एक साझा बयान जारी किया जिसमें कहा गया कि इन पार्टियों का ये फैसला अपमानजनक है. यह हमारे महान राष्ट्र के संवैधानिक मूल्यों और लोकतांत्रिक परिपाटी का अपमान है. बीजेपी ने कहा, कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने पहले पार्लियामेंट एनेक्सी और लाइब्रेरी का शिल्नायस किया, तब राष्ट्रपति को नहीं बुलाया. कई विधानसभा भवनों का उद्घाटन किया, तब राज्यपाल को नहीं बुलाया, इसलिए राष्ट्रपति तो बहाना है, मोदी ही निशाना है. कांग्रेस और दूसरे विरोधी दलों को मुख्य रूप से विरोध के पीछे दो तर्क हैं, पहला, नये संसद भवन के उद्घाटन के लिए राष्ट्रपति को न बुलाना राष्ट्रपति के पद का अपमान है, दूसरा, उद्घाटन समारोह में राष्ट्रपति को न बुलाना आदिवासियों का अपमान है. इन दो सवालों का जबाव ये है कि जब कांग्रेस की सरकारों में इस तरह के कार्यकमों में राष्ट्रपति को नहीं बुलाया गया तो क्या वो राष्ट्रपति पद का अपमान नहीं था? जब राज्यों में विधानसभा की बिल्डिंग का उद्घाटन मुख्यमंत्री ने किया तो क्या ये राज्यपाल का अपमान नहीं था? बिहार विधानसभा के नये भवन का उद्घाटन खुद नीतीश कुमार ने किया, असम में तरूण गोगोई ने किया, झारखंड में हेमंत सोरेन ने किया, तेलंगाना में के. चन्द्रशेखर राव ने किया, आन्ध्र प्रदेश में जगन मोहन रेड्डी ने किया, कहीं भी राज्यपाल को नहीं बुलाया गया, तो क्या ये संवैधानिक पद का अपमान था? मुझे लगता है कि मुख्यमंत्रियों ने विधानसभा का उद्धाटन करके कोई गलत काम नहीं किया, किसी का अपमान नहीं किया. सपा नेता रामगोपल यादव ने दो दिन पहले बिल्कुल सही बात कही थी – लोकतन्त्र में विधायिका का प्रमुख प्रधानमंत्री और मुख्यमंत्री ही होता है, इसलिए इस मुद्दे पर ये विवाद फिजूल का है. जहां तक राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मू को न बुलाकर आदिवासियों के अपमान की बात है तो कांग्रेस और दूसरे विरोधी दलों से ये भी पूछा जाएगा कि जब राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव में द्रोपदी मुर्मू के खिलाफ यशवन्त सिन्हा को मैदान में उतारा था, तो क्या वो आदिवासियों का सम्मान था? उस वक्त कांग्रेस क्या आदिवासियों के खिलाफ थी? मुझे लगता है कि जब मौका बड़ा हो,.बात देश की हो, तो छोटे राजनीतिक हितों से ऊपर उठकर सोचना चाहिए. मुझे लगता है कि संसद ने नए भवन के उद्घाटन को मुद्दा बनाने की दो बड़ी वजहें हैं. पहली, मोदी विरोध. जो जो पार्टियां मोदी से परेशान हैं, अब 2024 तक हर छोटी बड़ी बात पर, मोदी विरोध के नाम पर, हम साथ साथ हैं, का ऐलान करती रहेंगी. दूसरी बात, इन पार्टियों को राष्ट्रपति से कोई प्रेम नहीं है, वो भी जानते हैं कि एक भवन का उद्घाटन कोई संविधान का सवाल नहीं है, वो भी जानते हैं कि नरेंद्र मोदी ने ही एक आदिवासी महिला को राष्ट्रपति बनाया है, विरोधी दल राष्ट्रपति का नाम इसलिए ले रहे हैं कि आदिवासी समाज की भावनाओं को थोड़ा बहुत भड़काया जा सके. अगर विपक्ष के नेताओं के बयानों को ध्यान से सुनेंगे, तो पता चलेगा वो ये कह रहे हैं कि मोदी ने वोटों के लिए एक आदिवासी को राष्ट्रपति बनाया, और अब हम वोटों के लिए संसद के उद्घाटन को आदिवासी महिला राष्ट्रपति का अपमान बता रहे हैं. कुल मिलाकर ये सियासत की लड़ाई है. 2024 के चुनाव से पहले मोदी को तरह तरह से घेरने की कोशिश का हिस्सा है. अभी साल भर बाक़ी है. ऐसे स्वर कई बार सुनाई देंगे, लेकिन मुझे लगता है कि सिर्फ़ मोदी विरोध के लिए, सिर्फ़ आदिवासी वोट के लिए पार्लियामेंट के नए भवन के उद्घाटन को बायकॉट करना लोकतंत्र के लिए अच्छा नहीं है. ये देश के लिए ऐतिहासिक मौक़ा है. अच्छा होता कि इस दिन सारे राजनीतिक दल संकल्प लेते कि नई पार्लियामेंट में, नई परंपराएं क़ायम होंगी. यहां सिर्फ़ काम होगा. समय का सदुपयोग होगा, और अब जनता के पैसे की बर्बादी नहीं होगी. शायद, एक साल बाद चुनाव न होता, तो ये संभव था. अब ऐसे संकल्प की उम्मीद कम है.

कर्नाटक में हिजाब पर पाबंदी हटाने की मांग

कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस सरकार बनते ही स्कूल-कालेजों में हिजाब पर लगी पाबंदी, गोहत्या प्रतिबंध कानून और धर्मांतरण प्रतिबंध बिल वापस लेने लिए दवाब शुरु हो गए हैं. मानवाधिकार संस्था एमनेस्टी इंडिया ने कर्नाटक सरकार से इस बात की अपील की है. एमनेस्टी इंडिया ने कहा है कि इस कानून और बिल के जरिए अल्पसंख्यकों के साथ भेदभाव किया जा रहा है, अल्पसंख्यकों के खिलाफ इन्हें हथियार की तरह इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है, इन्हें हटाकर कर्नाटक सरकार इनके अधिकारों की रक्षा करे. हिजाब पर पाबंदी, गोहत्या पाबंदी कानून और धर्मांतरण पाबंदी कानून को लेकर कर्नाटक में लंबा विवाद चला है .इसे लेकर राजनीति भी खूब हुई है. हिजाब पर पाबंदी के मामले की सुनवाई सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चल रही है, कर्नाटक हाईकोर्ट इस मामले में बीजेपी की सरकार के पक्ष में फैसला सुना चुका है. ये तीनों मामले बेहद सेंसिटिव हैं. मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धरामैया से जब इस बारे में पूछा गया तो वो कोई जवाब देने से बचते रहे. सिद्धरामैया ने ये जरुर कहा कि उन्होंने राज्य के पुलिस अफसरों से कहा है कि वो मॉरल पुलिसिंग और भगवाकरण बंद करें. कर्नाटक सरकार में मंत्री प्रियांक खरगे ने हिजाब पर पाबंदी हटाने को लेकर तो कुछ साफ साफ नहीं कहा लेकिन इतना जरूर कहा कि ऐसा कोई भी फैसला जिससे मोरल पुलिसिंग होती हो, ऐसे सभी फैसलों पर पुनर्विचार किया जाएगा. प्रियांक खरगे ने कहा कि जो कानून का उल्लंधन करेंगे उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई होगी, जाहे वह आर एस एस ही क्यों न हो. उप मुख्यमंत्री डी के शिवकुमार से भी यही सवाल पूछा गया. शिवकुमार ने कहा वो इस पर अभी कुछ नहीं बोलेंगे, क्योंकि यह नीति संबंधी मसला है. इस पर पार्टी के अंदर बातचीत होगी और उसके बाद ही कोई फैसला लिया जाएगा. वैसे कर्नाटक सरकार इस वक्त पांच गारंटियों को कैसे लागू करें, उसे लेकर ज्यादा चिन्तित है. जनता को तो लगता है सरकार बनते ही वो सब लागू हो जाना चाहिए जिसका वादा चुनाव के दौरान किया गया, लेकिन ये प्रैक्टिकल नहीं है. ये अच्छी बात है कि सिद्धरामैया और डी के शिवकुमार दोनों कह रहे हैं कि सरकार के फैसले सोच विचार कर लिए जाएंगे. सरकार अभी अभी बनी है, मुझे लगता है लोगों को थोड़ा धैर्य रखना चाहिए.

सिविल सर्विस परीक्षाओं में कैसे बेटियों ने बाज़ी मारी

UPSC के सिविल सर्विसेज़ एग्ज़ामिनेशन में इस बार फिर बेटियों ने बाजी मारी है. टॉप फाइव में इस बार चार लड़कियां हैं, जिन्हें ये कामयाबी मिली है. इनमें सबसे पहला नाम इशिता किशोर का है, जो बिहार की बेटी हैं, लेकिन उनका परिवार ग्रेटर नोएडा में रहता है. मेरिट लिस्ट में दूसरा नाम गरिमा लोहिया का है, ये भी बिहार की हैं, और इनका परिवार बक्सर में रहता है. मेरिट में तीसरा रैंक हासिल करने वाली उमा हरति हैदराबाद, तेलंगाना से आती हैं, और चौथा रैंक मिला है स्मृति मिश्रा को, जो नोएडा में रहती हैं. इन सबने कड़ी मेहनत की, जम कर पढ़ाई की, खुद पर भरोसा बनाए रखा, जिसके बाद इन्हें ये कामयाबी मिली है, और अब वो IAS अफसर बनकर देश की सेवा करने जा रही हैं, लेकिन सबकी कहानी अलग है, सबकी पृष्ठभूमि अलग है. इशिता किशोर एयरफोर्स के अफसर की बेटी हैं, उनके पिता विंग कमांडर संजय किशोर अब इस दुनिया में नहीं हैं. पिता के जाने के बाद मां ने एयरफोर्स में नौकरी की, परिवार की देखभाल की, इशिता को पढ़ाया लिखाया और काबिल बनाया. इशिता किशोर ने दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी के श्रीराम कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स से इकनॉमिक्स में बीए ऑनर्स किया, कॉरपोरेट में नौकरी भी की, लेकिन उनका मन नहीं लगा, इसीलिए उन्होंने नौकरी छोड़ दी और सिविल सर्विसेज़ परीक्षा की तैयारी शुरू कर दी. इशिता किशोर को शुरुआती दो कोशिशों में कामयाबी नहीं मिली. पहली और दूसरी कोशिश में उनका प्रिलिम्स भी नहीं निकला, लेकिन इशिता ने हार नहीं मानी, इशिता कहती हैं कि उन्हें एक बार ये भी लगा कि कहीं उन्होंने कॉरपोरेट की नौकरी छोड़कर गलत फैसला तो नहीं ले लिया, लेकिन फिर उन्होंने तय किया कि वो वही करेंगी, जो सोचा है. इशिता ने बताया कि उन्होंने अपनी गलतियों से सीखा, खुद को सुधारा, और उसका नतीजा आज सबके सामने है. IAS के इम्तिहान में देश की बेटियों को बुलंदियों पर देखकर गर्व होता है. इस बार की टॉपर इशिता किशोर से बुधवार को मेरी मुलाकात हुई. इशिता की सोच स्पष्ट है, दूसरों से संवाद की कला कमाल की है. उनका देश सेवा का जज्बा काबिल-ए-तारीफ है. मैंने उन्हें बताया कि जब भी मैं किसी कॉलेज में किसी इंस्टीट्यूट में अवॉर्ड समारोह में जाता हूं, तो पुरस्कार देते समय दिखाई देता है कि अवॉर्ड लेने वालों की लाइन में 70 से 80 परसेंट बेटियां खड़ी हैं. यही जज्बा IAS इम्तिहान में भी बार – बार देखने को मिलता है. इशिता की बातें सुनकर लगा कि हमारे समाज में बेटियों को जिस तरह हर समय चौकन्ना रहना पड़ता है, जिस तरह की चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ता है, उसे देखते हुए कामयाबी के ये रिकॉर्ड बहुत बड़ी बात है.

Twenty opposition parties have declared a boycott of the inauguration of new Parliament building on Sunday by Prime Minister, while 17 other political parties have said, they will attend the ceremony. In a joint statement, the leaders of 19 parties led by Congress alleged that by ignoring President Droupadi Murmu from the “momentous occasion”, the government has undermined the “spirit of inclusion which say the nation celebrate its first woman Adivasi President”. The BJP-led National Democratic Allliance, comprising 14 parties, hit back in a joint statement saying, “we unequivocally condemn the contemptuous decision of 19 political parties to boycott the inauguration”. The NDA said, “this act is not merely disrespectful, but also a blatant affront to the democratic ethos and constitutional values of our great nation”. Congress and other opposition parties are citing two arguments for boycotting the ceremony: One, not inviting the President to inaugurate is an insult to the post of Constitutional head, and two, ignoring Droupadi Murmu amounts to insult of tribals. One should point out in reply, why the President was not invited by Congress governments when similar occasions arose in the past. Was it not an insult to the post of President? When legislative assembly buildings were inaugurated by chief ministers, was it not an insult to the post of Governor? As chief minister, Nitish Kumar himself inaugurated the Bihar Assembly building. Tarun Gogoi as CM, Hemant Soren as CM, K. Chandrashekhar Rao as CM, and Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy did the same in Assam, Jharkhand, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively. Nowhere was the Governor invited. Were these instances not insults of the Constitutional heads? I think, the chief ministers did not insult the Governors or commit any wrongful act by inaugurating Assembly buildings. Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav made an interesting point two days ago. He said, the head of the legislature in a democracy is either the Prime Minister at the Centre or the Chief Minister in the states. So, this debate is worthless. As far as insulting tribals are concerned, was it not an insult to a tribal, when the opposition fielded Yashwant Sinha against Droupadi Murmu during the presidential election? Can anybody say that the Congress is against tribals? I feel, whenever there is a historic moment, and the prestige of the nation is concerned, political parties should rise above petty interests. Politically, I feel, there are two main reasons behind the opposition making the new Parliament building a controversial issue. One, blind opposition to Modi. All the parties which are feeling uneasy with Modi, will continue to do so in the name of opposing the PM till the 2024 Lok Sabha polls are over. Two, these parties do not have a newfound affection for the President. Their leaders know this very well that inaugurating a building has nothing to do with Constitution. They know it was Modi who picked a tribal woman as the President. Opposition parties are naming the President in order to incite the feelings of tribals. If you go through their statements carefully, you will know that while Modi made a tribal as President, we think, ignoring her for the inauguration ceremony in as insult to a woman Adivasi President. Overall, it’s a political game. It is part of the strategy to corner Modi before the 2024 elections. For the next one year, people will continue to hear such voices. But I feel, to boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building only because of blind opposition to Modi and with a view to seek tribal votes, is not good for democracy. This is a historic moment for our nation. It would have been better if all political parties attend the event and affirm to begin new traditions in the new Parliament building, where only work will remain supreme, time of Parliament will be better utilized and public money is not wasted on non-issues. This would have been possible, if there had been no general elections next year. As of now, the prospects are dim.

DEMAND TO LIFT BAN ON HIJAB IN KARNATAKA

The new Congress government in Karnataka has said, it will look into the demand for lifting of ban on wearing of ‘hijab’ by Muslim girls in schools and colleges, after Amnesty India sought revocation of the ban. In a series of tweets, Amnesty India said on Tuesday that the Karnataka government “should take three priority actions for human rights, including immediate revoking of ban on women wearing hijabs in educational institutions”. In its second demand, Amnesty India has sought review of Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, and the Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2022. It has demanded that cow slaughter be allowed in the state and conversion of Hindus should also be permitted. Senior Karnataka minister G. Parameshwara said, government will look into revocation of the ban on wearing of hijab in schools and colleges. He said, we will see what best we can do. Right now, we have to fulfil the five guarantees we made to the people.” All these three issues are highly sensitive. The Supreme Court is already hearing petition filed against the ban on hijab, after Karnataka High Court held the ban as Constitutional. Already, much politics has taken place in Karnataka on these three issues, but Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is avoiding comments on such topics. He has however instructed police officials to put a stop to “moral policing and saffronisation”. Another minister Priyank Kharge said, all decisions relating to “moral policing” will be reviewed and if any outfit violates laws, action will be taken, even if it is the RSS. This remark by Priyank Kharge, son of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is surely going to create controversy. As far as fulfilling the electoral promise of ‘five guarantees’, the people of the state will have to keep patience. It is good that both the CM and the Deputy CM are saying that all decisions will be taken after full consideration. Let us all wait.

GIRLS ON TOP IN CIVIL SERVICES EXAM

Good news for all. Girls have scored tremendously well this time in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, by securing the top four slots. The topper Ishita Kishore, hails from Bihar. She lives in Greater Noida. Her father an IAF officer passed away, and her mother who worked in the Air Force looked after the family. In the list, No. 2 is Garima Lohia, whose family lives in Buxar, Bihar. Uma Harathi N., an IIT alumna is No.3 and she hails from Hyderbad, Telangana, while Smriti Mishra from Noida stood fourth. Ishita Kishore graduated from Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce, and stood first in her third attempt. Garima Lohia is a Commerce graduate from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. Parsanjit Kaur from Poonch, J&K, stood 11th and her father is a pharmacist in the state health department. To watch our girls winning laurels in the Civil Services Exam makes all of us proud. I met Ishita Kishore on Wednesday. Her thought process is clear, and she has wonderful communication skills. Her passion to serve the nation is commendable. I told her, whenever I go to any award function of any college of institute, I find at least 70 to 80 per cent girls standing in queue to take their awards. Such a passion has now been reflected in the Civil Services results. Listening to Ishita speaking, I find daughters in our society always have to remain on alert, they have to face challenges at every step, and under such circumstances, it’s a great thing for them to watch them winning laurels.

ऑस्ट्रेलिया में नए भारत की ताकत दिखाई दी.. ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री ने स्टेडियम में तीस हजार लोगों के सामने कहा, मोदी इज द बॉस. सिडनी के कुडोस बैंक अरेना में प्रोग्राम तो ऑस्ट्रेलिया में बसे भारतीयों के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के इंटरैक्शन का था, लेकिन इस प्रोग्राम में ऑस्ट्रेलिया की पूरी सरकार, विपक्ष के नेता और दूसरे दलों के नेता भी पहुंचे. यहां ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री ने जो माहौल देखा, लोगों में जोश देखा. मोदी के प्रति लोगों की जो दीवानगी देखी, तो वो भी हैरत में पड़ गए., लेकिन मोदी ने न सियासत की बात की, न किसी की आलोचना की., सिर्फ भारत और भारतीयों की बात की. मोदी ने बताया कि आजकल दुनिया भारत को क्यों सलाम कर रही है., उनकी सरकार का मंत्र क्या है., उनकी सरकार के काम क्या हैं .और उसका असर क्या हो रहा है. इस प्रोग्राम में मोदी ने आज जो कहा, उसे सुनना और देखना जरूरी है क्योंकि इससे पता चलता है कि मोदी को अब वर्ल्ड लीडर क्यों कहा जाता है, मोदी के प्रति लोगों में इतना भरोसा क्यों है.. 2014 में जब मोदी प्रधानमंत्री बने थे, तो बहुत सारे लोग पूछते थे कि ये विदेश नीति कैसे चलाएंगे. ये बड़े बड़े मुल्कों के नेताओं से संबंध कैसे बनाएंगे. आज उन लोगों को देखना और सुनना चाहिए कि कैसे ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री ने मोदी को बॉस कहा, सिर्फ पिछले चार दिन में हमने देखा अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बाइडेन मोदी को ढूढ़ते हुए आए और उन्हें गले लगाया. अमेरिका के प्रेसीडेंट ने कहा कि मोदी की लोकप्रियता इतनी है कि लगता है उन्हें भी मोदी का ऑटोग्राफ लेना पड़ेगा.. पापुआ न्यू गिनी के प्राइम मिनिस्टर ने मोदी के पैर छुए, ये छोटी बात नहीं है.. पिछले नौ साल में मोदी जिस भी देश में गए., उन्होंने वहां नेताओं से संबंध बनाए और भारत का मान बढ़ाया. इस बात में कोई शक नहीं कि मोदी के प्रधानमंत्री बनने के बाद पूरी दुनिया में भारत के प्रति लोगों का नजरिया बदला है. मैं जब भी विदेशों में रहने वाले भारतीय लोगों से बात करता हूं तो वो कहते हैं वि इस बदलाव को हर रोज अपने लाइफ में महसूस करते हैं, चाहे अमेरिका हो….यूरोप हो या अफ्रीकी देश हर जगह भारत भारतीय और भारतीयता का सम्मान दिखाई देता है, और इसका बहुत बड़ा श्रेय नरेन्द्र मोदी को जाना ही चाहिए. .मोदी ने देश के लिए प्रतिष्ठा हासिल करने के लिए बहुत मेहनत की बहुत दिमाग लगाया, छोटी छोटी चीजों का ध्यान रखा..बड़े बड़े फैसले लिए, और ये काम आसान नहीं था. आज अगर कोई देश यूक्रेन और रशिया दोनों से आंख में आंख डालकर बात कर सकता है तो वो भारत है. मुसीबत के वक्त दुनिया का कोई देश किसी दूसरे मुल्क से मदद की उम्मीद करता है. तो वो भारत है. दुनिया के किसी भी कोने में फंसे अपने नागरिकों की सबसे पहले हिफाजत करता है .तो वो भारत है. अगर तरक्की के लिए., ढ़ते प्रभाव के लिए किसी देश की मिसाल दी जाती है. तो वो भारत है.. हिन्दुस्तान की ये पहचान नरेन्द्र मोदी के कार्यकाल में बनी है इसीलिए नरेन्द्र मोदी को आज वर्ल्ड लीडर माना जाता है, और ये मान सम्मान सिर्फ तस्वीरों और स्पीचेज तक सीमित नहीं रहता. पूरे मुल्क को इसका फायदा व्यापार में होता है., टूरिज्म में होता है., इन्वेस्टमेंट में होता है. जब किसी देश का नेता बड़ा बनता है तो दुनिया में उसका मान बढता है, उसका फायदा देश के ओवरऑल डेवलपमेंट को होता है. रोचक बात ये है कि पूरी दुनिया नरेन्द्र मोदी का स्वागत कर रही है…लेकिन हमारे देश में तमाम विरोधी दल इस वक्त मिलकर मोदी को हराने.,मोदी को हटाने के फॉर्मूले खोज रहे हैं..

कांग्रेस आम आदमी पार्टी का समर्थन क्योें नहीं करेगी

कोलकाता में मंगलवार को दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी से मुलाकात की और दिल्ली संबंधी अद्यादेश के विरोध के मुद्दे पर उनकी पार्ची का समर्थन मांगा. ममता बनर्जी ने कहा कि अब वक्त आ गया है कि सभी विरोधी दलों को मिलकर मोदी का मुकाबला करना होगा..क्योंकि मोदी लोकतंत्र के लिए खतरा हैं. .केजरीवाल चाहते हैं कि मोदी सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के खिलाफ दिल्ली के LG को पुरानी पावर्स लौटाने के लिए जो ऑर्डिनेंश जारी किया है, सारे विपक्षी दल उसका विरोध करें. इसी सिलसिले में केजरीवाल पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान, दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री आतिशी, आम आदमी पार्टी के सांसद संजय सिंह और राघव चड्ढा को लेकर ममता बनर्जी से मिलने पहुंचे थे. लेकिन दूसरी तरफ दिल्ली कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने खुलकर कहना शुरू कर दिया है कि कांग्रेस को किसी कीमत पर किसी मुद्दे पर केजरीवाल का साथ नहीं देना चाहिए. दिल्ली कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष अजय माकन ने कहा कि केजरीवाल जिस सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश को पलटने की बात कर रहे हैं, उसी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने जजमेंट में साफ कहा है कि संसद के पास पूरा अधिकार है कि वो एलजी को कोई भी पावर दे सकती है, इसलिए केन्द्र सरकार ने आर्डिनेंश जारी करके कोई गलत काम नहीं किया. केजरीवाल सिर्फ अफसरों पर हुक्म चलाने की चाहत में इसे सियासी रंग दे रहे हैं, जनता की लड़ाई बता रहे हैं, ये सही नहीं है. अजय माकन की बात को कांग्रेस के एक और नेता संदीप दीक्षित ने कहा कि केजरीवाल ने हमेशा कांग्रेस को नुकसान पहुंचाने की कोशिश की., कांग्रेस पर झूठे इल्जाम लगाए. इसलिए जब तक केजरीवाल सार्वजनिक तौर पर नहीं मानते कि वो झूठे हैं..उन्होंने सत्ता के लालच में झूठ बोला, केजरीवाल को समर्थन देने की बात सोचना भी नहीं चाहिए. अजय माकन दिल्ली कांग्रेस के बड़े नेता हैं. इसलिए कांग्रेस हाईकमान उनके विरोध को अनदेखा नहीं कर सकता. कांग्रेस महासचिव के सी वेणुगोपाल ने कहा है कि कांग्रेस ने अभी कोई फैसला नहीं किया है, कांग्रेस पहले दिल्ली यूनिट से बात करेगी., उसके बाद कोई फैसला लेगी. पंजाब कांग्रेस के बड़े नेता सुखजिंदर सिंह रंधावा और प्रताप सिंह बाजवा ने भी कहा है कि आम आदमी पार्टी बीजेपी की बी-टीम है, विपक्षी दलों को केजरीवाल से सावधान रहना चाहिए, वो कभी भी धोखा दे सकते है. कांग्रेस के नेताओं की चिंता तो जायज़ है..क्योंकि केजरीवाल ने अपनी जमीन उन्ही राज्यों में बनाई जहां कांग्रेस मजबूत थी.दिल्ली और पंजाब में केजरीवाल की पार्टी की सरकार बन गई.और कांग्रेस तीसरे नंबर की पार्टी बन गई. इसी तरह गुजरात, उत्तराखंड और गोवा. में जहां कांग्रेस का सीधा मुकाबला बीजेपी से था, वहां केजरीवाल ने पूरी ताकत से चुनाव लड़ा. और कांग्रेस हार गई. अब राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश.और छत्तीसगढ़ में चुनाव होना. है, हरियाणा में अगले साल चुनाव हैं, .इन सभी राज्यों में बीजेपी और कांग्रेस आमने सामने हैं..केजरीवाल ने एलान कर दिया कि उनकी पार्टी इन राज्यों में भी चुनाव लड़ेगी. इसीलिए कांग्रेस के नेता कह रहे हैं कि जब विधानसभा चुनाव में केजरीवाल कांग्रेस को नुकसान पहुंचाने की रणनीति पर काम कर रहे हैं. तो लोकसभा चुनाव में केजरीवाल कांग्रेस के साथ की उम्मीद कैसे कर सकते हैं. .ये तो सिर्फ एक पार्टी का झगड़ा है.. जब सीटों के बंटवारे की बात आएगी तो दूसरे राज्यों में विपक्षी एकता धरी रह जाएगी, , ऐसा महाराष्ट्र में दिखने लगा है…वहां सीटों पर झंझट शुरू हो गया है..

India displayed both its soft and hard power in Australia on Tuesday, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a mega gathering of Non-Resident Indians at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The event was watched by most of the Australian politicians and the Australian PM Anthony Albanese, while addressing the gathering, said: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is The Boss”, eliciting resounding applause. In his speech, Modi did not speak about politics, nor did he criticize anybody. He only spoke about India and Indians. He explained why the world today salutes India for its humanitarian work during the Covid pandemic. He also outlined his vision and his government’s achievements. Modi, in effect, placed the report card of his nine-year-old rule. Huge crowd of Indians assembled both inside and outside the arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park. They had come with drums to welcome their prime minister. Some Indians hired a chartered plane and named it Modi Airways. When Modi became Prime Minister in May, 2014, most of the people in India and abroad used to ask how he would conduct India’s foreign policy, how he would develop relations with world leaders. Such people should watch the entire Sydney event and watch why the Aussie PM described Modi as The Boss. They will realize why US President Joe Biden said last week that Modi’s popularity is so high that he should take his autograph. They should watch why the prime minister of a small group of islands Papua New Guinea touched Modi’s feet, when the Indian PM landed on his soil. These are not minor developments. Narendra Modi has raised India’s prestige across the world during the last nine years. He developed personal relations with world leaders. There is not an iota of doubt that the entire world has now changed its view about India. Whenever I speak to Indians living in foreign lands, they tell me how they daily feel the change that has come in their lives. Whether it is the US, or Europe or African countries, India and Indians are looked with respect by people in foreign lands. The credit for ensuring this change should go to Narendra Modi. Modi toiled hard, and used his brains, he kept track of the minutest details, took big decisions, and this is not an easy job. Today if there is any country that can speak to both Russia and Ukraine, by looking into their eye, it is India. In times of crisis like pandemic and natural catastrophe, other countries today expect help from India. The country which takes care to protect its citizens trapped anywhere in the world is India. This identity of a new India took shape during Modi’s rule. Today Narendra Modi is regarded as a world leader. This prestige and affection is not limited to pictures, videos or speeches. The entire nation gets the advantage in the fields of business, tourism, investment and in other spheres. When the image of the leader of a nation becomes big, the world eyes that country with respect. This results in overall development of the nation. On one hand, while the world is looking at Modi with respect, there are political parties who are exploring formulae to defeat Modi in next year’s general elections.

Why Congress is unwilling to support AAP

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders, met West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata. Kejriwal sought her support in the fight against the Centre’s Delhi-related ordinance. Mamata Banerjee, while lashing out at BJP, promised full support to AAP on this issue in Parliament. But in Delhi, Congress leaders Ajay Maken openly backed the ordinance and ruled out any support to AAP. Another Delhi Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit also ruled out any help for AAP. Congress general secretary K C Venugopal clarified that the party has not decided its stand on the ordinance, and will take a view after consulting its state unit. In Punjab, Congress leaders Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Pratap Singh Bajwa also opposed any collaboration with AAP saying the party cannot be trusted. The concerns of Congress leaders are justified because Kejriwal’s party has created its base only in those states where the Congress was strong, and formed governments in Delhi and Punjab. Congress slid to third position in Punjab. Similarly, in Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Goa, where Congress was in a direct fight with BJP, AAP fought elections and the Congress lost polls in these states. Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh will be going to polls by the end of this year and Haryana will go to the polls next year. In all these states, Congress is in direct fight with BJP, but Kejriwal has declared that AAP will contest elections in these states. Congress leaders say that when Kejriwal is working on strategies to cause losses to Congress in state assembly elections, how can he expect to join hands with Congress for Lok Sabha elections. This is not confined to AAP alone. Whenever the question of seat allocation will arise for LS elections, opposition unity will get a battering in other states too. Already signs are showing in Maharashtra, where the fight for seats has begun in Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi, in which Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena are constituents.
