दिवाली से पहले सोशल मीडिया पर PVC पाइप और एक लाइटर से घर में ही तेज आवाज़ करने वाली बंदूक बनाने की reel ख़ूब वायरल हुईं. लोगों ने रील देखकर घर में देसी पटाखा गन बनाना सीखा. फिर उसकी दुकान लगा ली. कुछ लोगों ने खुद ही गन बनाकर अपने बच्चों को थमा दी. इसके बाद दिवाली पर हादसे हुए.
कम से कम 10 लोगों की आंखों की रोशनी चली गई और तीन सौ से ज्यादा लोग अस्पतालों में भर्ती हैं.
भोपाल और उसके आसपास के जिलों में pvc पाइप से बनी नकली guns की जमकर बिक्री हुई. लोगों ने डेढ़ सौ से दो सौ रुपए देकर ये guns ख़रीदीं और जब इन्हें दिवाली पर इस्तेमाल किया, तो त्यौहार मातम में बदल गया.
सिर्फ भोपाल में 150 से ज़्यादा लोग घायल हुए. लोगों की आंखों में चोट लगी. कई लोगों की आंखों की रोशनी हमेशा के लिए चली गई.
pvc के दो pipes को जोड़कर जुगाड़ से गन का आकार दिया जाता है. फिर इसके अंदर पोटाश या कैल्शियम कार्बाइड के टुकड़े डाले जाते हैं. इन टुकड़ों पर पानी की कुछ बूंदें डालकर लाइटर से ignition दिया जाता है. संकरे पाइप में केमिकल रिएक्शन से बनने वाली गैस जब फैलती है, तो ज़ोरदार धमाका होता है, चिंगारी निकलती है.
हैरानी की बात ये है कि गुरुवार को जब हमारे संवाददाता अमिताभ अनुराग भोपाल की सड़कों पर निकले तो कई जगह ये गन बिकती हुई दिखाई दी. गुरुवार की रात ‘आज की बात’ शो में ये खबर प्रसारित होने के बाद भोपाल के जिला कलक्टर ने पीवीसी पाइप गन की बिक्री पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया.
पहले ये गन्स गांवों में किसानों के काम आती थीं. इनकी मदद से किसान आवारा पशुओं को अपने खेत से भगाते थे. लेकिन, इस बार ये pipe guns सोशल मीडिया पर trend हुईं तो इनको बनाकर बेचने वालों को भी कम लागत में ज़्यादा कमाई का नुस्खा मिल गया.
जबलपुर, इंदौर, ग्वालियर, विदिशा और भोपाल में ऐसी गन्स को हज़ारों लोगों ने ख़रीदा और इस्तेमाल किया. ये pvc गन्स चलाने में जितनी आसान हैं, उतनी ही ज़्यादा ख़तरनाक हैं.
जो लोग इस गन के चक्कर में घायल होकर अस्पताल में भर्ती हैं, उन्होंने बताया कि तीन-चार बार फ़ायर करने के बाद उनकी गन ने काम करना बंद कर दिया था. जब उन्होंने चेक करने के लिए पाइप में झांकने की कोशिश की तो धमाका हो गया.
भोपाल में जो हुआ, उसकी वजह सोशल मीडिया पर चलने वाले रील हैं. यहीं से लोगों ने PVC पाइप बम बनाना सीखा. इस चक्कर में ना जाने कितने लोगों की आंखों की रोशनी चली गई.
आजकल लोग हर वक्त फेसबुक, व्हाट्सऐप और यू्ट्यूब में घुसे रहते हैं. यहां चलने वाले वीडियो का यकीन करके उस पर अपना फायदा देखने लगते हैं. इन platforms पर लिखी गई हर बात को सच मानने लगते हैं. इसका नुकसान कितना होता है, कैसा होता है, ये भोपाल, ग्वालियर और विदिशा जैसी जगहों पर देखने को मिला.
मेरा आपसे निवेदन है कि किसी भी वीडियो पर आंख बंद करके यकीन न करें. अपना भला-बुरा आपको खुद समझना होगा.

छठ की भीड़ : रेलवे से कहाँ चूक हुई?

बिहार के लोगों में महापर्व छठ को लेकर इस बार काफी उत्साह है. बिहार के जो लोग देश के दूसरे राज्यों में रहते हैं, वे छठ के मौके पर घर जाते हैं. इसलिए ट्रेनों में जबरदस्त भीड़ है. गुजरात के रेलवे स्टेशन्स के बाहर दो किलोमीटर लंबी लाइनें लगी हुई देखी गई.
रेलवे ने छठ के लिए तेरह हजार विशेष ट्रेनों का इंतजाम किया लेकिन भीड़ इतनी ज्यादा है कि सारे इंतजाम कम पड़ रहे हैं.
गुरुवार को खुद रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने मोर्चा संभाला. स्टेशनों पर भीड़ प्रबंधन और ट्रेनों की लोकेशन्स पर नजर रखने के लिए तीन वॉर रूम बनाए गए. सबकी फीड सीधे रेल भवन में बने वॉर रूम में पहुंच रही थी, जहां अश्विनी वैष्णव खुद मौजूद थे. जिस स्टेशन पर ज्यादा भीड़ दिखती है, वहां तुरंत ट्रेन भेजी जाती है.
जैसे अंबाला स्टेशन पर जबरदस्त भीड़ थी, अमृतसर से पूर्णिया की तरफ जाने वाली ट्रेन जैसे ही स्टेशन पर पहुंची तो धक्कामुक्की शुरू हो गई. तुंरत जालंधर से एक स्पेशल ट्रेन भेजी गई. यात्री उस ट्रेन में बैठकर बिहार के लिए रवाना हो गए.
बीते सालों से सबक लेकर इस बार रेलवे ने भीड़ प्रबंधन के लिए नया mechanism तैयार किया. देश के ऐसे 35 रेलवे स्टेशन चिह्नित किये गये, जहां त्योहार के वक्त सबसे ज्यादा भीड़ होती है. इन स्टेशनों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरों के जरिए 24 घंटे रेलवे मॉनिटरिंग की जाती है, किसी भी स्टेशन पर भीड़ बढ़ती है तो वहां के स्थानीय अफसरों से फीडबैक लेकर स्पेशल ट्रेन पहुंचाई जाती है.
छठ पूजा के लिए लोग पहले भी जाते थे. ट्रेनों में भीड़ पहले भी होती थी. कई लोग ट्रेन की छत पर बैठकर सफर करते थे. कुछ लोग ट्रेन पर लटककर अपनी जान पर खेलकर घर जाते थे और कोई इसकी परवाह नहीं करता था.
रेलवे में इस तरह की यात्रा को नॉर्मल माना जाता था. भीड़ अब भी है. ट्रेनें अब भी कम पड़ रही हैं, लेकिन रेलवे को अब लोगों की परवाह है. इसकी वजह है रेल मंत्री की व्यक्तिगत दिलचस्पी.
अश्विनी वैष्णव ने Data study करके प्लान बनाया, स्पेशल ट्रेन चलाईं, सुविधाएं बढ़ाई, पर जब लोगों को पता चला कि अब स्पेशल ट्रेन चल रही हैं, अब ज़्यादा सहूलियतें है तो जो लोग पहले छठ पर घर नहीं जाते थे, उन्होंने भी अपने बैग पैक कर लिए, भीड़ और बढ़ गई.
अंदाज़ा गलत निकला, इंतज़ाम कम पड़ने लगे, पर लोगों को इस बात का संतोष है कि रेलवे उनकी यात्रा और उनकी सुविधाओं की चिंता करता है. और ये विश्वास बड़ी चीज़ है.
एक बात और. सोशल मीडिया पर जो दावे किए जाएं उस पर आंख मूंद कर कतई यकीन न करें. सरकार की तरफ से जो औपचारिक जानकारी दी जाए, उसी पर भरोसा कीजिए क्योंकि सोशल मीडिया के चक्कर में आजकल सबसे ज्यादा गड़बड़ होती है.

Madhya Pradesh government has imposed a ban on sale, purchase and storage of PVC ‘carbide’ pipe gun firecrackers after at least 300 people suffered eye injuries and ten persons lost their eyesight during Diwali celebrations.
In my 9 pm prime time show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ telecast on India TV on Thursday night, we showed how PVC carbide pipe guns were being sold openly in shops across Bhopal. Late in the night, the district collector issued a prohibitory order banning sale of these PVC guns.
These ‘carbide guns’, made of PVC pipes are commonly sold as children’s toys during Diwali festive season, but they have been found to be extremely unsafe due to explosive chemical reactions.
The prohibitory order will be enforced by sub-divisional magistrates, executive magistrates and police officers, for all pipe guns made of PVC, iron or steel.
India TV correspondent Anurag Amitabh found these pipe guns being sold during Diwali rush for Rs 150 to 200 per piece in places like Bhopal, Seoni, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Vidisha.
To make a pipe gun, two PVC pipes are joined and filled with potash or calcium carbide. Some water drops are dropped on this chemical and the ignition is carried out by using a lighter. The explosion is deafening and sparks fly out that can damage the eyes.
Originally, these PVC carbide guns were used by farmers to shoo off stray cattle from fields, but after reels started trending on social media, shopkeepers decided to make a clean profit by selling them as Diwali toys. Thousands of people watched ‘pipe gun’ making reels on social media
What happened in Madhya Pradesh was because of reels that became viral on social media. People were shown how to make PVC pipe guns. Some of them tried making these pipe guns and lost their eyesight.
In today’s age people spend most of their time on Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube. They trust videos and reels that are posted. They believe these to be gospel truth, but the damage that was done can seen in Bhopal, Gwalior and Vidisha.
I would request all of you to be careful and refrain from trusting such reels on social media blindly. Everybody must apply his or her mind to decide what is safe and what is unsafe.

Rush for Chhath : How Railway is coping with crowds

With the annual Chhath festival approaching early next week, all trains going to Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh are full. Outside some stations in Gujarat, nearly 2 km long queues of travellers were seen.
Indian Railways have made arrangements to run 13,000 special trains, but these are unable to cope with the rush.
On Thursday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw sat inside the three war rooms at Rail Bhavan to keep a watch on crowd management and train locations. These three war rooms monitor movement of crowds in 35 top stations round-the-clock. Minute-to-minute data are being prepared and a heat map is developed. Every hour, footfalls at these 36 stations are noted.
Special trains are immediately sent to stations where huge crowds are noticed. In one case, when the minister noticed a huge rush at Ambala station in Haryana for a train going from Amritsar to Purnea, another train was dispatched from Jalandhar to accommodate extra passengers.
Crowds were also noticed in Surat and Udhna stations of Gujarat. More than 2 km long queues of travellers were noticed and the platforms were full. Additional trains were rushed to these stations.
Indian Railways have developed a new mechanism for crowd management. 35 railway stations in India have been identified which cope with huge rush during festivals. These stations are monitored round-the-clock using cctv cameras. Immediate feedback is taken from local railway officials and special trains are sent.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, more than five million people travelled during Diwali and Chhath this year compared to last year. He promised to improve the system next year.
Lakhs of people travel to Bihar and eastern UP to celebrate Chhath festival every year. Many travellers even sit on train rooftops or hang near the train door to travel to their homes.
The only difference this time is, Indian Railways is trying its best to take care of travellers. This has been possible due to the personal involvement of the Railway Minister. Ashwini Vaishnaw studied data and prepared a plan to run special trains. He provided facilities for travellers at railway stations.
The problem began when travellers came to know that several thousand special trains are being run. The crowds multiplied several times.
Earlier, people used to avoid going to their homes to celebrate Chhath because of the train rush, but this time, they packed their bags with their family and made a beeline to the stations. This is the reason why the arrangements fell short.
At least travellers have the satisfaction that they travelled by trains and Railways took care of them. This trust is a valuable thing. One more point: Do not blindly believe claims that are being made on social media about shortage of trains. Trust the information that is given officially by Indian Railways.

दुनिया के दो बड़े इस्लामिक मुल्कों से दो खबरें आईं, एक बुरी और दूसरी अच्छी.
अच्छी खबर ये है कि सऊदी अरब ने कफाला सिस्टम को खत्म कर दिया है, अब सऊदी अरब में नौकरी देने वाली कोई भी कंपनी विदेशी मजदूरों का पासपोर्ट जब्त नहीं कर पाएगी, काम के घंटे तय होंगे, वेतन तय होगा, मजदूर अपनी मर्जी से नौकरी बदल सकेंगे और जब मन करेगा अपने वतन लौट सकेंगे. इसके लिए वीजा स्पॉन्सर करने वाली कंपनी या शेख की इजाज़त की जरूरत नहीं होगी. अब कोई उनसे बंधुआ मजदूरी नहीं करा सकेगा.
बुरी खबर ईरान से आई. पता ये चला कि ईरान मे बड़े नेताओं की बेटियों के लिए और आम लोगों की बहू-बेटियों के लिए हिजाब पहनने या न पहनने के दोहरे मापदंड है. या यूं कहें, तो हिप्पोक्रेसी.
जो नेता शरीयत की दुहाई देकर, इस्लामिक परंपराओं के नाम पर महिलाओं पर जुल्म करते हैं, उन्हें पर्दे में रहने के लिए मजबूर करते हैं, नियम तोड़ने वाली महिलाओं को मौत के घाट उतार देते हैं, वही नेता अपनी बेटी की शादी मे हिजाब और नकाब को भूल जाते हैं. उनकी बीवी , बेटी और शादी में आई मेहमान औरतों के लिए हिजाब और पर्दे का नियम लागू नहीं होता.
तेहरान के एक बड़े होटल में पिछले साल अप्रैल में ईरान के पूर्व रक्षा मंत्री अली शामखानी की बेटी की शादी का वीडियो अब सामने आया है. इस वीडियो की चर्चा पूरी दुनिया में हो रही है.
अली शामखानी ईरान के सर्वोच्च नेता आयतुल्लाह अली ख़ामेनेई के राजनीतिक सलाहकार हैं, ख़ामेनेई ने अमेरिका के साथ न्यूक्लियर डील पर बात करने की ज़िम्मेदारी अली शामख़ानी को दी थी.
अली शामख़ानी ने इस्लाम का हवाला देकर ईरान में महिलाओं के लिए कड़े नियम लागू किए. बगैर हिजाब के घर से बाहर निकलने वाली महिलाओं पर जुल्म करवाए लेकिन खुद अपनी बेटी की शादी में अली शामखानी सारे इस्लामिक नियमों को भूल गए.
जिस वीडियो की बात हो रही है उसमें अली शामख़ानी की बेटी सेताएश अपनी शादी की रस्म के वक्त सफ़ेद strap-less गाउन पहनी हुई है. अली शामख़ानी की बीवी भी बैकलेस ड्रेस में हैं. शादी में शामिल दूसरी महिलाओं ने भी सिर नहीं ढके हैं. अगर ईरान में कोई आम महिला इस तरह नज़र आती, तो उसे सीधे जेल भेज दिया जाता, कोड़े बरसाए जाते, लेकिन इस्लामिक नियमों की वकालत करने वाले अली शामख़ानी शादी में अपनी बेटी को उसी तरह हाथ पकड़कर ले जा रहे हैं जैसा western culture में होता है. जबकि पब्लिक लाइफ में अली शामख़ानी इन सभी पश्चिमी तौर-तरीक़ों को इस्लामिक परंपराओं के खिलाफ बताते हैं, शरीयत की हिमायत करते हैं.
इस वीडियो को देखकर ईरान में लोग सवाल उठा रहे हैं कि क्या ईरान में आम लोगों के लिए अलग नियम हैं? और सत्ता में बैठे इस्लामिक कट्टरपंथियों के लिए अलग नियम हैं?
2022 में जब ईरान में महिलाओं ने पब्लिक प्लेस पर हिजाब पहनने के फ़रमान के ख़िलाफ़ आंदोलन किया था, तब इन्ही अली शामख़ानी ने सड़क पर उतरी महिलाओं को सजा देने के लिए हजारों हथियारबंद पुलिस वालों को मैदान में उतार दिया था.
ईरान में ये नियम है कि महिलाएं बिना सिर ढके सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर नहीं निकल सकती, ग़ैर मर्दों के सामने बिना हिजाब के नहीं जा सकतीं, चुस्त, sleeveless कपड़े नहीं पहन सकतीं.
अगर कोई महिला ये नियम तोड़ती है तो उस पर भारी जुर्माना लगाया जाता है, कोड़े मारे जाते हैं और अगर दूसरी बार ये गलती की तो जेल में डाल दिया जाता है.
2022 में एक कुर्द युवती महसा अमीनी ने ईरान में सिर ढकने के इस नियम का विरोध किया था. वो बिना सिर ढके बाहर निकलीं तो ईरान की moral police ने महसा अमीनी को उठा लिया, उसका इतना टॉर्चर किया कि उसकी मौत हो गई. इसके बाद पूरे ईरान में प्रदर्शन हुए. महिलाओं की आवाज़ दबाने के लिए ईरान की पुलिस, रिवोल्यूशनरी गार्ड्स और ख़ामेनेई के मातहत काम करने वाली moral police ने प्रदर्शनकारी महिलाओं पर बहुत ज़ुल्म ढाए थे.
तब अली शामख़ानी ने कहा था कि जब तक ये महिलाएं विरोध प्रदर्शन बंद नहीं करतीं, अपने घरों को नहीं लौटतीं, तो पुलिस की सख़्ती जारी रहेगी, किसी भी क़ीमत पर इस्लामिक परंपराओं का पालन कराया जाएगा.
आयतुल्लाह अली खामनेई के सलाहकार शामख़ानी की बेटी ने अपनी शादी में Strapless Gown पहना, इससे किसी को कोई problem नहीं है. शामखानी की बीवी ने Backless dress पहनी, इस पर भी किसी को कोई आपत्ति नहीं है. ये उनका अधिकार है. वो जो चाहे पहनें, ये उनकी ज़िंदगी है, उनका फैसला है.
ईरान में सवाल इसलिए उठे, क्योंकि ख़ामेनेई ने सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर हिजाब न पहनने वाली महिलाओं को कोड़े लगवाए, सिर न ढकने पर लड़कियों को जेल में डाल दिया, Moral Police ने सिर ढकने का विरोध करने वाली लड़कियों को Torture किया, जुल्म के कारण कई लड़कियों की मौत हो गई.
क्या ईरान का ये कानून सिर्फ आम लड़कियों और औरतों के लिए है? क्या औरतों की आज़ादी पर पाबंदी सिर्फ साधारण जनता के लिए है? क्या ताकतवर लोगों के लिए कायदे-कानून अलग हैं?
शामख़ानी की बेटी की शादी के वीडियो ने ईरान के पूरे सिस्टम को expose कर दिया. पर्दे के नाम पर चल रहे दोहरे मापदंडों का पर्दाफाश कर दिया.

सऊदी अरब में मजदूरों को आज़ादी

ईरान अपनी रूढ़िवादी सोच को लोगों को थोपने पर अड़ा है लेकिन सऊदी अरब वक्त के साथ बदल रहा है, पुराने कानूनों को बदल रहा है. सऊदी अरब की सरकार ने कफाला सिस्टम ख़त्म कर दिया है. इस फैसले से सऊदी अरब में काम करने वाले एक करोड़ तीस लाख से ज़्यादा विदेशी नागरिकों को राहत मिलेगी.
सऊदी अरब में कफाला सिस्टम 50 साल से लागू था.
अब सऊदी अरब के क्राउन प्रिंस मुहम्मद बिन सलमान ने अपने विज़न 2030 के तहत 50 साल से लागू बंधुआ मज़दूरी के इस सिस्टम को ख़त्म कर दिया है. अब सऊदी अरब में काम करने वाले विदेशी नागरिक, अपनी मर्ज़ी से नौकरी बदल सकेंगे, अपनी शर्तों पर नौकरी कर सकेंगे और इसके लिए उनको अपने employer की इजाज़त की ज़रूरत नहीं होगी.
लखनऊ, मुरादाबाद, सहारानपुर और मेवात क्षेत्र में कई गांव ऐसे हैं, जहां के सैकड़ों नोजवान नौकरी के चक्कर में सऊदी अरब गए और अब वहां बंधुआ मजदूरी कर रहे हैं या फिर झूठे इल्जामों में जेल में बंद हैं.
सऊदी अरब में क़रीब 27 लाख भारतीय काम करते हैं. कफाला सिस्टम ख़त्म होने से उन सबको फ़ायदा मिलेगा. क्राउन प्रिंस मुहम्मद बिन सलमान सऊदी अरब की अर्थव्यवस्था को आधुनिक बनाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. अभी तक उनका मुल्क तेल की आमदनी पर निर्भर था लेकिन अब दूसरे उद्योग धंधों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है. इसके लिए विदेशी पूंजी, विदेशी professional और skilled worker चाहिए.
जो लोग सऊदी अरब के कफाला सिस्टम की वजह से अब तक सऊदी अरब में काम करने से बचते थे, वे बेखौफ होकर सऊदी अरब में काम करने के लिए जा सकेंगे. कफाला सिस्टम की जगह अब सऊदी अरब में contract based रोज़गार मिल सकेगा.
क्राउन प्रिंस के इस फैसले का फायदा विदेशी मजदूरों के साथ साथ सऊदी अरब को भी होगा.

In Iran, wearing of hijab by women in public spaces is mandatory. According to the “Chastity and Hijab” bill enacted in 2023, women who defy dress codes risk long prison sentences, steep fines, and even death sentence for repeated violations. The regime uses drones, surveillance apps and licensed informants to monitor what women wear in public.
Only recently, the Iranian regime announced it would deploy 80,000 personnel to enforce dress codes because there has been a spike in the number of women appearing in public without hijab in the capital Tehran.
While ordinary women in Iran face harsh punishment for violating dress code, a video has become suddenly viral on internet and this has sparked a furore across Iran.
The video is of the daughter of Iran’s former Defence Minister Ali Shamkhani, a top political advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The wedding, according to Iran International, took place in April last year at the Espinas Palace Hotel in Tehran.
While other female guests wore hijabs at the wedding, Shamkhani’s daughter entered the banquet hall, wearing a sleeveless, deep-necked and strapless Western-style wedding gown and a thin veil over her hair.
The video was leaked after more than a year and the source still remains unclear. It lays bare the hypocrisy and double standards being applied by the present regime in Iran.
On one hand, Islamic clerics punish women in the name of Shariat, force women to accept ‘purdah’ system, and on the other hand, their leaders forget hijab and veil at the weddings of their daughters.
This video reminds one about 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died in custody in 2022 after she was arrested for violating hijab law. There were nationwide demonstrations by women in Iran, but the Revolutionary Guards and moral police, working under Ali Khamenei crushed these protests brutally.
At that time, Ali Shamkhani said, police repression will continue so long as these women protesters do not return home. He had then said that Islamic laws will be implemented at all costs.
Who is Ali Shamkhani?
He is a powerful figure in Iran, he was a Rear Admiral of Iran Navy, and was the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. Shamkhani was the chief negotiator at the nuclear deal talks with United States and is a top political advisor of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Ali Shamkhani escaped the Israeli air strikes on Tehran on June 13 and reports of his death were proved baseless. His son is connected with Iran’s oil and shipping industry and he faces several corruption charges, but because of his closeness to Khamenei, no action was ever taken.
Shamkhani says this viral video is a foreign conspiracy to defame him. A former minister of Iran, Ezzatollah Zarghami claimed that the wedding incident was a private gathering of women only and the scene in which the bride’s father is shown placing her hand on the groom’s, is part of Islamic custom.
Let me make it clear. Nobody has any problem with Shamkhani’s daughter wearing a strapless gown or his wife wearing a backless dress. They have the right to wear the attire of their choice. It’s their life and their choice.
The questions that are being raised now in Iran is: On one hand, women not wearing hijab are flogged in public, thrown into jail, Iran’s moral police torture such girls even leading to their death, and on the other hand, the daughter of a top political figure wears strapless gown to her wedding.
Is the Chastity and Hijab law applicable only for ordinary women? Are the curbs on freedom of women only for the ordinary folks? Do powerful figures have a separate law in Iran?
This wedding video of Shamkhani’s daughter clearly exposes hypocritic double standards in the name of hijab.

A fresh breath of liberty in Saudi Arabia

There is good news from Saudi Arabia. It has abolished its 50-year-old ‘Kafala’ labour sponsorship system. This will give freedom to nearly 13 million migrant workers. Most of them are from South Asian countries including India.
As part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 reforms, migrant workers will now get more autonomy under a contract-based job model.
They can now switch jobs without taking approval from their employers, leave Saudi Arabia without an exit visa or sponsor’s consent, and can approach labour courts to report violations of law. Most of the workers are employed in construction, domestic work and tourism industry.
These reforms are part of the plan to attract more foreign talent to Saudi Arabia. Till now, employers used to confiscate passports of migrant workers, delay payment of wages and restrict their movement.
The Kafala system was introduced in the 1950s in Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, to regulate foreign migrant workers. Under this system, a migrant worker’s legal residency and employment rights were tied completely to a local sponsor, known as the “kafeel,” usually the employer.
There are many villages around Lucknow, Moradabad, Saharanpur and Mewat region, where hundreds of youths migrated to Saudi Arabia in search of jobs and are engaged in bonded labour. Many of them are languishing in jails on false charges.
Nearly 27 lakh Indians work in Saudi Arabia and the abolition of Kafala system will give them a fresh air of freedom. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is trying to diversify his nation’s economy. Till now, the economy was based on earnings from oil, but now his regime is promoting other industries by attracting foreign investment, foreign professionals and skilled labourers.
The new system will help both migrant workers and Saudi government trying to attract foreign talent.

लंदन में पुलिस ने सड़कों पर लोगों से मोबाइल फोन लूटने वालों की धरपकड़ के लिए एक बड़ी मुहिम छेड़ दी है. पुलिस ने फोन स्नैचिंग करने वाले गैंग के खिलाफ दो दिन तक ऑपरेशन चलाया, गैंग के 32 लुटेरों को गिरफ्तार किया और फोन स्नैचिंग के चालीस हजार से ज्य़ादा मामलों को सुलझाया.
पुलिस ने चोरी के फोन खरीदने वाले लंदन के सात स्टोर्स को सील किया, एक स्टोर से दो हजार से ज्यादा फोन बरामद किए, पांच लाख पौंड (करीब पांच करोड रूपए) के चोरी के इलैक्ट्रानिक गैजेट्स ज़ब्त किए. लूटपाट के बाद गैंग में शामिल अपराधी चोरी का माल खरीदने वाले दुकानदारों को बेच देते थे.
पुलिस के मुताबिक, चोरी के ज्यादातर फोन चीन भेज दिए जाते थे.
दरअसल लंदन में पिछले चार-पांच सालों में मोबाइल फोन लूटने की घटनाएं बहुत बढ़ गई थीं. लंदन के मशहूर टूरिस्ट spots जैसे वेस्टमिंस्टर, ट्रैफलगर स्क्वॉयर, मेफेयर, वेस्ट एंड, बकिंघम पैलेस, स्काई गार्डेन और सेंट पॉल्स कैथड्रॉल जैसे इलाक़ों में लोगों के फोन छीनने की घटनाओं लगातार हो रही थीं जिसके बाद पुलिस ने मोबाइल snatchers के ख़िलाफ़ स्पेशल ऑपरेशन शुरू किया. अब तक 32 लोगों को गिरफ़्तार किया जा चुका है. शुरुआत दो अफ़ग़ान नागरिकों की गिरफ़्तारी से हुई थी जिन्हें इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सर्विलांस के बाद पकड़ा गया. इसके बाद एक भारतीय और एक बुल्गारियन को गिरफ़्तार किया गया.
इन चारों से पूछताछ के बाद लंदन पुलिस ने विल्सडन, ब्रोमले, हर्टफोर्डशर और वूलविच इलाक़ों में लगभग 120 ठिकानों पर छापे मार कर 40 हज़ार से ज्यादा मोबाइल फ़ोन्स की लूट के मामले सुलझाए.
पिछले चार साल में लंदन में फोन snatching की घटनाएं चार गुना से ज़्यादा बढ़ गई. 2020 में 28 हज़ार से ज़्यादा लोगों के फोन राह चलते झपट लिए गए, जबकि 2024 में फोन स्नैचिंग की 81 हज़ार वारदातें हुईं. लंदन में हर आठ मिनट में एक मोबाइल फ़ोन छिन जाता है. पूरे ब्रिटेन में फोन स्नैचिंग की जितनी घटनाएं होती हैं उनमें से 75 फीसद घटनाएं अकेले लंदन में होती हैं.
लंदन के लोगों का कहना है कि अवैध आप्रवासियों की वजह से यहां फोन छीनने और दुकानों से महंगे सामानों की चोरी की घटनाएं बढ़ रही हैं.
फोन छीनने वालों का सबसे आसान शिकार वो सैलानी होते हैं जो अपने मोबाइल से या तो वीडियो बना रहे होते हैं. या फिर रूट के लिए map को फॉलो कर रहे होते हैं या फिर किसी कॉल पर होते हैं.
लंदन पुलिस ने ऑपरेशन ज़ोरिडॉन के तहत सादे लिबास में तीन सौ से ज्यादा कर्मी आम लोगों के बीच तैनात किए. जैसे ही कोई लुटेरा फोन छीनता है, पुलिस कर्मी उसका पीछा करके उसे पकड़ लेते हैं.
छीने गए ज़्यादातर फोन चीन भेजे जाते हैं क्योंकि ब्रिटेन के मोबाइल फोन में इंटरनेट और दूसरे ऐप्स ऑन रहते हैं, जो चीन में बैन हैं. चोरी के फ़ोन ख़रीदने वाले चीनी नागरिक अपने देश की सेंसरशिप से बच जाते हैं. दूसरा, Apple के महंगे फोन उन्हें कम दाम में मिल जाते हैं, इसलिए ब्रिटेन चोरी के फोन्स का एक बड़ा ब्लैक मार्केट बन गया है.
लुटेरों के गिरोहों से तीन सौ पौंड में चोरी के फोन खरीदकर इन्हें चीन में चार से पांच हज़ार डॉलर में बेचा जाता है.
असल में पिछले कुछ सालों में लंदन में आप्रवासियों की संख्या बढ़ गई है. पाकिस्तान, अफ़ग़ानिस्तान, मध्य पूर्व, और उत्तरी अफ्रीका से लाखों लोग ब्रिटेन में अवैध तरीक़े से दाख़िल हो रहे हैं. लंदन के मेयर सादिक़ ख़ान पर घुसपैठियों को बढ़ावा देने के इल्ज़ाम लग रहे हैं. इसीलिए मेयर के निर्देश पर मेट्रोपॉलिटन पुलिस ने ऑपरेशन ज़ोरिडॉन शुरू किया.
दुकानों में चोरी करके सामान ब्लैक मार्केट में बेचने वालों की ट्रेसिंग के लिए इस बार लंदन पुलिस ने आधुनिक तकनीक इस्तेमाल की है.
पुलिस Selecta-DNA तकनीक के तहत जिन दुकानों में चोरी की घटनाएं ज़्यादा हो रही थीं, वहां सामानों पर एक ख़ास तरह का synthetic liquid लगा रही है. अगर वो सामान चोरी होता है तो फिर इसी liquid की मदद से उसको trace किया जाता है.
पुलिस को पता चल जाता है कि चोरी के बाद सामान कहां भेजा गया, किस दुकान पर बेचा गया. फिर sniffer dogs की मदद से पुलिस चोरी के सामान को trace कर लेती है.
लंदन में मैने देखा है कि Oxford Street जैसे व्यस्त इलाकों में भी लुटेरे बाइक पर आते हैं औऱ मोबाइल छीनकर भाग जाते हैं. किसी भी लेन में चार गुंडे आकर पर्स छीन लेते हैं, घड़ी उतरवा लेते हैं, अगर कोई विरोध करे तो इतना मारते हैं कि हड्डियां टूट जाएं.
कुछ दिन पहले मुझे किसी ने एक महिला का video भेजा था. उन्होंने पर्स देने से इनकार किया तो उनका चेहरा इतनी बुरी तरह ज़ख्मी कर दिया कि plastic surgery करानी पड़ी. कई महीने इलाज हुआ, लाखों रुपये खर्च हो गए. इसलिए लंदन की सड़कों पर चलने वाले सोचते हैं कि पिटने से तो बेहतर है पर्स और घड़ी दे दें.
ये कोई इक्का-दुक्का घटनाएं नहीं हैं. लंदन में Mayfair जैसे पॉश इलाकों में लूटपाट आम बात है. Dorchester जैसे मशहूर होटल से जब आप बाहर निकलते हैं तो गेटकीपर धीरे से सलाह देते हैं कि मोबाइल औऱ पर्स जेब में रख लें. महिलाओं से कहा जाता है कि ईयर-रिंग और अंगूठी उतारकर पर्स में रख लें. लंदन में पुलिस snatching , मारपीट औऱ लूटपाट की FIR भी नहीं लिखती. वो कहती है कि ये तो आम बात है.
अब जबरदस्त राजनीतिक दबाव पड़ा, तो पुलिस ने एक्शन लिया है. पानी सिर के ऊपर चला गया था. Tourist लंदन जाने से कतराने लगे थे. अभी भी लंदन की पुलिस ने चोरी और लूट का सामान ही पकड़ा है, बहुत से लुटेरे और चोर अभी भी पुलिस की गिरफ्त से बाहर हैं. उम्मीद है कि उनके खिलाफ भी जल्द एक्शन होगा.

दिल्ली में दिवाली के पटाखे : क्या इस बार AQI कम रहा?

दीपावली के अगले दिन दिल्ली की हवा प्रदूषित तो हुई, लेकिन जहरीली नहीं थी. ज्यादातर इलाकों में शाम पांच बजे एयर क्वालिटी इंडैक्स दौ सौ से कम था, हालांकि रात को लोगों ने पूरे उत्साह से दीवाली मनाई, जमकर आतिशबाजी की, इससे प्रदूषण का स्तर बढ़ा.
कुछ इलाकों में AQI पांच सौ से ऊपर गया लेकिन ज्यादातर इलाकों में AQI साढ़े तीन से नीचे ही रहा. सुबह आसमान में धुंध नजर आई, स्मॉग की परत थी, मॉर्निंग वॉक करने के लिए कम ही लोग घरों से निकले.
दिल्ली के पर्यावरण मंत्री मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने कहा कि वैसे तो दिल्ली में पिछले सालों के मुकाबले इस बार प्रदूषण कम हुआ और जो प्रदूषण दिख रहा है, वो पंजाब की आम आदमी पार्टी की साजिश है.
सिरसा ने आरोप लगाया कि पंजाब में आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता जानबूझ कर किसानों पर पराली जलाने के लिए दबाव डाल रहे हैं. पंजाब में जल रही पराली का धुंआ दिल्ली पहुंच रहा है, जिससे दिल्ली की हवा भी खराब हो रही है.
पाकिस्तान में भी जबरदस्त वायु प्रदूषण है. लाहौर, इस्लामाबाद से कराची तक स्मॉग की मोटी परत दिखाई दे रही है. पाकिस्तान का आरोप है कि पंजाब और हरियाणा से आ रहा धुंआ पाकिस्तान की आबोहवा को बर्बाद कर रहा है.
पाकिस्तान में तो दीवाली नहीं मनाई जाती, वहां तो आतिशबाजी नहीं होती, फिर पाकिस्तान में वायु प्रदूषण कैसे बढ़ा? इसलिए लोग पूछते हैं कि दिल्ली में दिवाली की आतिशबाजी को जिम्मेदार कैसे ठहराया जा सकता है?
दिल्ली की भौगोलिक स्थिति ऐसी है कि सर्दियों में ठंडी हवाएं हिमालय से दिल्ली की तरफ आती हैं, तापमान कम होने के कारण गर्म हवाएं फैलने की बजाय कंन्डेंस होकर स्मॉग के रूप में आसमान में छा जाती हैं, जिससे धुंध बनती है और AQI लेवल बढ़ जाता है. अगर हवा की रफ्तार बढ़ जाए, थोड़ी धूप निकले तो ये अपने आप खत्म हो जाती है. जैसे आज हुआ.
रात में AQI साढ़े तीन सौ के पार था. फिर शाम होते होते ये दो सौ से नीचे आ गया. सूरज ढलने के बाद फिर AQI लेवल कई इलाकों में तीन सौ से पार हो गया. इसे फॉगिंग करके, स्मॉग गन लगाकर कुछ हद तक मैनेज किया जा सकता है, लेकिन खत्म नहीं किया जा सकता.
प्रदूषण तब पूरी तरह तभी दूर होता है जब बारिश होती है और अच्छी खबर ये है कि दिल्ली और आसपास के इलाकों में बारिश होने की संभावना है. जब तब बारिश न हो, सबको सावधान रहने की ज़रूरत है.

In a major crackdown against mobile phone snatchers and shoplifters, London Metropolitan Police arrested 46 persons after a two-week-long operation. They were arrested for phone snatching and for buying and smuggling out stolen phones.
Nearly 40,000 stolen phones were smuggled out from the United Kingdon to China in the last one year.
Nearly 28 properties across London and Hertfordshire were searched during the crackdown against phone snatchers and smugglers.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan described this as “the largest operation of its kind in the history of UK”. He said, “it was humbling to see first-hand how the Met are going after the leaders of international smuggling gangs as well as street robbers and snatchers fuelling this industrial-scale crime.”
In my prime time show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ on India TV last night, we showed videos of phone snatchers and police nabbing the criminals.
In the last four to five years, goons have been going around posh localities and popular tourist spots like Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Mayfair, West End, Buckingham Palace, Sky Garden and St. Paul’s Cathedral, snatching phones from unsuspecting individuals. A total of 32 snatchers were nabbed by police and seven stores in London buying stolen phones were sealed.
In one store alone, more than 2,000 stolen phones and other electronic gadgets amounting to nearly 5 lakh pounds were seized.
In 2020, more than 28,000 phones were snatched from pedestrians in London alone. This figure rose to 81,000 in 2024. On an average, one mobile phone is snatched in London every eight minutes.
As part of organized crime, snatchers riding on bikes target pedestrians and sell phones in the black market. These are then smuggled to China, where people buy these smartphones.
Under Operation Zoridon, London Met Police posted more than 300 policemen and policewomen in plainclothes to keep a watch. A steep rise in the number of immigrants in London has also resulted in rise in shoplifting cases. In one week alone, police raided more than 120 stores selling stolen costly products which include makeup, electrical goods, branded and packaged food. More than three dozen criminals, mostly immigrants, have been nabbed.
Police is using SelectaDNA liquid, a forensic property marking system that uses unique, invisible DNA codes, including a UV tracer, to help police find marked items or individuals. The liquid contains microscopic dots with a unique customer ID to property or criminals. Shoplifters are nabbed with the help of sniffer dogs who trace this liquid.
I have been a witness to snatching incidents on Oxford Street. In lanes, goons force a pedestrian to part with purse, watch or other costly items. If anybody refuses, the goons thrash the victims severely and break their bones.
A few days ago, somebody sent me the video of a lady, who refused to part with her purse. The goons smashed her face and she had to undergo plastic surgery, spenting several lakhs of rupees.
These are not stray incidents. Phone or purse snatching is common in posh localities like Mayfair. Any guest coming out of the Dorchester hotel in London is advised by guards to hide purse and mobile. Women are advised to hide their jewellery and earrings.
The situation has come to such a pass that police in London does not even register FIR for snatching, robbery or thrashing. Due to growing political pressure, police have now started taking action because London was getting a bad name among tourists. Most of the travellers were avoiding London.
While police have seized many stolen phones, many of the criminals have gone into hiding. More needs to be done. Let’s hope, police will take further action soon.

Diwali crackers in Delhi: Was AQI lesser this time?

Delhi’s air quality was recorded as ‘very poor’ a day after Diwali night, when the entire metro witnessed bursting of firecrackers. Strong winds prevented a drop to ‘severe’ category.
On Diwali night, AQI in some localities crossed 500, but in most of the areas, it remained less than 350. The capital was covered with smog on Tuesday morning and few morning walkers came out of their homes.
Delhi environment minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa claimed that pollution post-Diwali this year was less compared to last year. He alleged that paddy leftover (parali) was allowed to be burnt in Punjab by the AAP government on a large scale and this resulted in more pollution in Delhi.
Neighbouring Pakistan is also suffering from severe air pollution. Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi were covered with smog. Pakistani authorities alleged that smoke from Punjab and Haryana was causing pollution.
Diwali is hardly celebrated with firecrackers in Pakistan. The question is, why is Pakistan facing air pollution? On the same basis, people have started questioning why Diwali is held responsible for causing pollution due to firecrackers.
Delhi’s geographical situation is such that when cold winds blow towards the capital from the Himalayas, hot gases condense to become fog due to low temperature in Delhi. This causes a rise in AQI. If wind speed increases and there is sunshine, the smog disperses on its own.
On Diwali, AQI in Delhi was above 350, but by evening, it dropped to less than 200. After sunset, the AQI level again crossed 300.
This can be managed to some extent by using smog guns or fogging, but it cannot be removed fully. Air pollution decreases completely when there is rain.
There is some piece of good news. The capital may witness showers in a day or two. Till the time there are showers and AQI level improves , everybody must remain careful.

With the filing of nominations for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections ending Friday evening, the picture is still not clear in the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan on the issue of seat sharing.
On the other hand, Nitish Kumar-led NDA has finalized its seat sharing. Janata Dal(U) and BJP will contest 101 seats each, Chirag Paswan’s LJP will contest 29 seats, while Updendra Kushwaha’s RLM and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM will contest 6 seats each.
Home Minister Amit Shah met Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on Friday morning to chalk out poll campaign coordination and reigning in of rebel candidates.
In the Mahagathbandhan camp, Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi phoned Lalu Yadav after VIP party chief Mukesh Sahani threatened to walk out of the alliance on seat sharing issue. Efforts are on to persuade him to agree.
BJP leaders have begun their campaign with UP CM Yogi Adityanath addressing two rallies in Danapur and Saharsa in Bihar. Yogi asked voters to choose between ‘burqa’ and ‘vikas’.
Forging an alliance during elections is always the first challenge for any party, but the bigger challenge is to convince alliance partners to agree.
The third challenge is to persuade rebels to stay out of the contest. NDA has overcome all these three challenges and there is, of now, no quarrel in the alliance. Surveys and local feedbacks were used while selecting candidates, while caste equations were kept in mind.
Amit Shah, a master strategist, is leading the Bihar campaign from the front. The first round has gone in favour of NDA, but the fight has just begun.

Google AI hub : Chandrababu’s farsightedness

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh on Thursday was significant. He first offered prayers at the famous Srisailam temple and then launched schemes worth Rs 13,000 crores for Andhra Pradesh.
At a big rally in Kurnool, he praised chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his efforts to give a fillip to industries in AP.
The world’s biggest search engine Google has already announced plans to set up a global AI centre in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of $15 billion. This will be connected to other AI hubs across the world through undersea cables. The nodal point will be in Vishakhapatnam and it will provide jobs to several lakh people.
Modi said, Naidu’s government has decided to develop Kurnool as a drone manufacturing hub. The PM launched schemes worth Rs 13,000 crore on this occasion.
One must agree that Chandrababu Naidu thinks years ahead of others. He has this knack of changing with time.
I remember when Chandrababu became chief minister of undivided AP for the first time in 1995, India had just entered the computer age. People were not aware about internet, but Naidu, through sheer determination, developed Hyderabad as a cyber city from 1995 till 2004. He set up a modern IT business hub named Cyberabad in the state capital.
With the advent of AI age, Naidu has taken a big leap forward. He has allotted land at cheap rates to Google, provided all facilities and permissions. Some people are trying to oppose this, but I think, Chandrababu Naidu has done the right thing. He has taken a sound decision. Google will invest in Kurnool and India will emerge as a big AI hub in the coming years.

Special prisons for Mallya, Nirav Modi, Choksi

In a bid to extradite big economic fugitives like Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi to India, the government is planning to set up special penitentiaries, as per international norms in every state to keep these extradited persons.
Home Minister Amit Shah said, our agencies catch these fugitives in foreign countries, complete the process of extradition, but these fugitives, citing poor conditions of Indian prisons, manage to stall the process.
At a conference hosted by CBI in Delhi for extraditing fugitives, Shah said, extraditing fugitives from foreign shores is a complicated process and every state government must create special extradition cells and staff them with personnel who known international laws relating to extradition.
Shah said, a system should be developed wherein if Interpol issued a red corner notice, the person’s passport must stand automatically cancelled.
Presently, there are 388 petitions for extradition of Indian fugitives are pending in courts. Most of these fugitives cite poor conditions of Indian prisons and threat to life as the main reasons to stall extradition.
There is need to remove all shortcomings in jails. At least every state can build a special fugitive prison. Since Amit Shah has taken the initiative, we can only hope that it will soon become a reality.

बिहार में पहले चरण की 121 सीटों पर नामांकन की समय सीमा शुक्रवार को खत्म हो गई, लेकिन महागठबंधन में अभी तक न सीटों का बंटवारा हुआ है और न सभी सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों के नामों का एलान हुआ है.
कांग्रेस और RJD ने अपनी अपनी सीटें तो बांट ली लेकिन मुकेश सहनी को अधर में लटका दिया. मुकेश सहनी की पार्टी को 18 सीटें देने पर सहमति बनी, दस सीटें RJD को अपने कोटे से और आठ सीटें कांग्रेस को अपने कोटे से देनी थी लेकिन दोनों पार्टियों ने मुकेश सहनी को ये नहीं बताया कि उनकी पार्टी को कौन-कौन सी सीटें दी जा रही हैं. इसलिए मुकेश सहनी परेशान हो कर उम्मीदवारों की लिस्ट लेकर घूम रहे हैं. उन्हें ये नहीं पता कि किसको कौन सी सीट से टिकट देना है.
जब मुकेश सहनी ने गठबंधन से अलग होने की धमकी दी तो फिर दिल्ली से लेकर पटना तक हलचल मची. उन्हें मनाने की कोशिशें हुई लेकिन शुक्रवार सुबह तक कोई नतीजा नहीं निकला.
दूसरी तरफ NDA में सब कुछ तय हो गया. टिकटों का बंटवारा हो गया है. जेडीयू और बीजेपी 101-101 सीटों पर लड़ेंगे, चिराग पासवान को 29 सीटें मिली है, और उपेंद्र कुशवाहा और जीतन राम मांझी को 6-6 सीटें मिली है.
अमित शाह बिहार पहुंच गए हैं. शुक्रवार को मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार से 18 मिनट तक बातें की, आपसी समन्वय, साझा रैली और बागियों को काबू में करने पर बात हुई.
योगी आदित्यनाथ ने गुरुवार को बिहार के गानापुर और सहरसा में दो रैलियां की.
किसी भी चुनाव में पार्टियों के सामने पहली चुनौती होती है, गठबंधन बनाना. उससे बड़ी चुनौती होती है, alliance partner को सीटों के लिए मनाना और तीसरी चुनौती होती है, बागी उम्मीदवारों को समझाना.
NDA ने इस बार इन सारी चुनौतियों को पार कर लिया है. अलांयस में झगड़ा नहीं है, सारी सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों का ऐलान हो गया. टिकट देते समय survey और local feedback का ध्यान रखा गया. जातिगत समीकरण के आधार पर उम्मीदवार तय किए गए.
चुनाव का प्रबंध अमित शाह के हाथ में है, जो चुनाव लड़वाने और जीतने में माहिर हैं. इसीलिए पहली बाज़ी NDA के हाथ लगी लेकिन अभी तो मुक़ाबला शुरू हुआ है.

गूगल का AI hub : चंद्रबाबू नायडू की दूरंदेशी

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी गुरुवार को आंध्र प्रदेश में थे. उन्होंने श्रीसैलम के मल्लिकार्जुन स्वामी मंदिर में शिवजी और पार्वती के दर्शन किए. इसके बाद कर्नूल में 13 हज़ार करोड़ रु. से ज़्यादा की योजनाओं की शुरुआत की. इनमें रेल, रोड और एनर्जी से जुड़ी योजनाएं शामिल हैं.
गूगल ने कर्नूल में 15 अरब डॉलर के निवेश के साथ AI हब बनाने का एलान किया है. ये हब समुद्र के भीतर केबल से दुनिया भर के AI हब से जुड़ेगा. कर्नूल के AI हब का नोडल प्वाइंट विशाखापत्तनम में बनेगा जहां से समुद्र के नीचे केबल के जरिए इसे ग्लोबल AI नेटवर्क से जोड़ा जाएगा. इससे विशाखापत्तनम भी ग्लोबल AI सेंटर के तौर पर विकसित होगा.
मोदी ने कहा कि चंद्रबाबू नायडू की सरकार ने कर्नूल को ड्रोन मैन्युफैक्चरिंग के सेंटर के रूप में विकसित करने का फ़ैसला किया है.
एक बात तो कहनी पड़ेगी कि आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री चन्द्रबाबू नायडू बहुत आगे की सोचते हैं, वक्त के साथ बदलते हैं.
मुझे याद है कि जब चन्द्रबाबू नायडू 1995 में पहली बार अविभाजित आन्ध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री बने थे, उस वक्त भारत में कंप्यूटर नया नया आया था, लोग इंटरनेट के बारे में जानते भी नहीं थे लेकिन चन्द्रबाबू नायडू ने 1995 से 2004 के बीच हैदराबाद को साइबर सिटी के तौर पर डेवेलप करने का फैसला किया. हैदराबाद में साइबराबाद के नाम से IT बिज़नेस का मॉडर्न हब बसाया था.
अब ज़माना AI का है तो चन्द्रबाबू नायडू ने गूगल को सस्ते दामों में जमीन दी, सारी सहूलियतें दी, सरकारी अनुमतियों में छूट दी. कुछ लोग इसका विरोध कर रहे हैं लेकिन मुझे लगता है चन्द्रबाबू नायडू ने जो फैसला किया, बहुत अच्छा है. गूगल कर्नूल में इन्वेस्ट करेगा, हजारों लोगों को नौकरियां मिलेंगी और भारत AI हब के तौर पर उभरेगा. ये बड़ी बात है.

भारत में माल्या, नीरव मोदी, चोकसी के लिए विशेष जेल

अब तैयारी उन लोगों को कानून के दायरे में लाने की, जो देश में बड़े आर्थिक अपराध करके विदेश भाग गए हैं. सरकार अब विजय माल्या, ललित मोदी, नीरव मोदी और मेहुल चोकसी जैसे भगोड़ों के ऊपर शिकंजा कसने की तैयारी में है.
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा है कि हमारी एजेंसियां विदेशों में छुपे अपराधियों को पकड़ लेती हैं, उन्हें भारत लाने की कानूनी प्रक्रिया भी पूरा हो जाती है लेकिन ये अपराधी भारत की जेलों की बदतर हालत का हवाला देकर प्रत्यर्पण से बच जाते हैं. ऐसे अपराधियों के लिए अब हर राज्य में एक स्पेशल जेल बनाये जाने की योजना है, जहां सारे अंतरराष्ट्रीय नियमों का पालन हो, जेल की सारी सुविधाएं इंटरनेशनल स्टैंडर्ड के मुताबिक़ हों.
अमित शाह ने कहा कि भारत में जुर्म करके विदेश भागे अपराधियों का प्रत्यर्पण एक जटिल मामला है, इसलिए हर राज्य में पुलिस विभाग को स्पेशल extradition cell बनानी चाहिए. इस सेल में ऐसे अफ़सरों को रखा जाए जो extradition से जुड़े सारे क़ानूनों को समझते हों.
अमित शाह ने कहा कि एक ऐसा सिस्टम डेवेलप करने की जरूरत है जिसमें अगर किसी भगोड़े के ख़िलाफ़ इंटरपोल से रेड कॉर्नर नोटिस जारी होता है, तो उसका पासपोर्ट automatically कैंसिल हो जाए.
विदेशों में छुपे भारत के अपराधियों के extradition की 388 याचिकाएं वहां के कोर्ट्स में पेंडिंग हैं. extradition से बचने के लिए ये अपराधी हमेशा भारत की जेलों की हालत का हवाला देते हैं, अपनी जान को ख़तरा बताते हैं, human rights की दलील देकर extradition से बच जाते हैं. इसलिए, इस खामी को दूर करना जरूरी है.
सभी जेलों में न सही, लेकिन हर राज्य में कम से कम एक स्पेशल fugitive prison बनाई जानी चाहिए. चूंकि अमित शाह ने ये पहल की है, इसलिए उम्मीद करनी चाहिए कि इस पर काम जल्दी शुरू होगा.

हरियाणा में वरिष्ठ IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार की खुदकुशी के 8 दिन बाद बुधवार को उनके शव का अंतिम संस्कार कर दिया गया. उनकी दोनों बेटियों ने पिता को मुखाग्नि दी. हरियाणा के एक्टिंग डीजीपी ओ.पी. सिंह अन्त्येष्टि के समय मौजूद थे. पुलिस की टुकड़ी ने उन्हें अंतिम सलामी दी.
अंतिम संस्कार से पहले पूरन कुमार के शव का पोस्टमार्टम कराने के लिए प्रशासन को कड़ी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी. पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी अमनीत पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति देने को तैयार नहीं थी. उनका कहना था कि जब तक पूर्व डीजीपी शत्रुजीत कपूर और दूसरे अफसरों पर कार्रवाई नहीं होती तब तक वो पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति नहीं देंगी.
सात दिन के इंतजार के बाद पोस्टमार्टम की अनुमति के लिए कोर्ट में पेटिशन फाइल की गई. इस पिटीशन पर सुनवाई होने से ठीक पहले पूरन कुमार की पत्नी का लिखित बयान आया और उन्होंने पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सहमति दे दी.
अमनीत ने कहा कि उन्हें सरकार ने न्यायोचित, पारदर्शी और निष्पक्ष जांच का भरोसा दिया है और उन्हें सरकार और कोर्ट पर भरोसा है.
डॉक्टरों के विशेष पैनल ने बैलेस्टिक एक्सपर्ट और मैजिस्ट्रेट की मौजूदगी में पोस्टमार्टम किया और इसकी वीडियोग्राफी की गई. पोस्टमार्टम के बाद पूरन कुमार का पार्थिव शरीर परिवार को सौंप दिया गया.
पूरन कुमार का अंतिम संस्कार हो गया लेकिन कल पूरन कुमार पर भ्रष्टाचार का आरोप लगाने के बाद खुदकुशी करने वाले सहायक सब इन्सपेक्टर संदीप लाठर के परिवार ने पुलिस को शव सौपने से इंकार कर दिया. परिवार वालों की मांग है कि संदीप लाठर ने जो खुलासे किए हैं, उनकी न्यायिक जांच करायी जाय और आरोपियों की गिरफ्तार किया जाय. ये भी मांग की गई कि संदीप को शहीद का दर्जा दिया जाय.
मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी ने लाढोत गांव जाकर संदीप के परिवार से मुलाकात की और न्याय का आश्वासन दिया. संदीप कुमार आत्हत्या केस की FIR दर्ज कर ली गई. संदीप की पत्नी संतोष की शिकायत पर पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी अमनीत पी कुमार, उनके साले अमित रत्न, गनमैन सुशील समेत 4 लोगों के खिलाफ आत्महत्या के लिए उकसाने का केस दर्ज हुआ है.
संदीप लाठर को इंसाफ दिलाने के लिए जाट महासभा आगे आ गई है. खाप पंचायतें भी संदीप को इंसाफ दिलाने के लिए एकजुट हो रही हैं.
जाट महासभा के अध्यक्ष संदीप भाटी ने कहा कि संदीप लाठर के लिए 36 बिरादरियां एक साथ आकर लड़ाई लड़ेंगी और उनकी शहादत को व्यर्थ नहीं जाने देंगी.
IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार दलित थे, इसलिए जब पूरन कुमार ने खुदकुशी की, तो कांग्रेस और दूसरे विरोधी दलों ने दलितों के साथ नाइंसाफी की बात की. ASI संदीप लाठर ने पूरन कुमार को भ्रष्ट अफसर बताकर आत्महत्या कर ली, तो अब वही नेता जाट को इंसाफ दिलाने का नारा लगाने लगे.
जो नेता मंगलवार सुबह तक पूरन कुमार के घर के बाहर खड़े थे, बुधवार को वे सब संदीप लाठर के परिवार से मिलने पहुंच गए. कांग्रेस नेता भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा राहुल गांधी के साथ पूरन कुमार के घर गए थे. बुधवार को भूपेन्द्र हुड्डा संदीप कुमार के घर पहुंचे. संदीप का गांव लाढ़ौत हुड्डा के विधानसभा क्षेत्र में है. यहां जाट समुदाय बहुमत में है.
संदीप के परिवार से मिलने के बाद हुड्डा ने कहा कि उनके परिवार की मांगें पूरी होनी चाहिए, इस केस की न्यायिक जांच होनी चाहिए. जब उनसे पूछा गया कि उनकी पार्टी तो पूरन कुमार के इंसाफ के लिए लड़ रही है तो हुड्डा अटक गए, थोड़ा रुककर उन्होंने कहा कि उनका कहने का मतलब ये है कि पूरे केस की जांच पारदर्शिता के साथ होनी चाहिए.
हुड्डा की तरह अभय चौटाला भी असमंजस में दिखे. दो दिन पहले अभय चौटाला ने पूरन कुमार के लिए इंसाफ की आवाज बुलंद की थी, उनके परिवार से मुलाकात की थी. बुधवार को वह संदीप लाठर के परिवार से मिले.
IPS अफसर पूरन कुमार और ASI संदीप कुमार की दुखद आत्महत्या का मामला अब जातिगत टकराव का रूप ले चुका है. IPS अफसर का परिवार शुरू से ही आत्महत्या को दलित उत्पीड़न का रंग दे रहा है.
जाट महासभा ने कहा कि ASI संदीप के लिए 36 बिरादरियां एक साथ लड़ेंगी. ASI संदीप के परिवार का कहना है कि अगर पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी पोस्ट मार्टम को रोक कर न रखती तो मामला इतना भयानक रूप न लेता और संदीप आत्महत्या न करते.
दो दिन पहले तक हरियाणा में कांग्रेस और INLD दोनों IPS पूरन के परिवार के साथ खड़े थे, बुधवार को भूपेंद्र सिंह हुड्डा और अभय चौटाला ASI संदीप के परिवार के साथ खड़े नजर आए.
IPS और IAS अफसरों में कोई खुलकर नहीं बोलता. लेकिन इन आत्महत्याओं को लेकर IPS और IAS अफसरों में भी सहानुभूति बंटी हुई है. यहां भी जातियों के टकराव का असर दिखाई दे रहा है. इसीलिए मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी के लिए एक तरफ कुआं है और दूसरी तरफ खाई. मुख्यमंत्री की सबसे बड़ी मुसीबत ये है कि उनके अपने ही अफसर एक दूसरे से टकराने में लगे हैं. इसीलिए इन दोनों मामलों में वो एक-एक कदम फूंक-फूंक कर रख रहे हैं.

तिरुपति बालाजी के पैसे की चोरी : पापी को सज़ा मिले

तिरूपति से चौंकाने वाली खबर आई. तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर की देखरेख के लिए ज़िम्मेदार तिरुपति देवस्थानम बोर्ड पर 100 करोड़ रु. के घोटाले का जो आरोप लगा है, उससे जुड़े दस्तावेज पुलिस ने जब्त कर लिए.
TTD बोर्ड के सदस्य जी. भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी ने आरोप लगाया है कि जगनमोहन रेड्डी की सरकार के वक्त तिरुपति बोर्ड में 100 करोड़ रु. से ज़्यादा का हेरफेर हुआ. इस घोटाले में बोर्ड के सदस्यों के साथ जगन मोहन रेड्डी सरकार के मंत्री और विधायक भी शामिल थे.
अप्रैल 2023 में तिरुमला पेड्डा जियांगर मठ के एक क्लर्क सी.वी. रविकुमार को विदेशी मुद्रा वाले दान पात्र से 900 डॉलर चुराते हुए पकड़ा गया था. रविकुमार के ख़िलाफ़ TTD बोर्ड के एक अधिकारी सतीश कुमार ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई. पुलिस ने मामले की जांच की. चार्जशीट भी दाख़िल कर दी लेकिन कोर्ट फैसला सुनाता इससे पहले ही शिकायत करने वाले सतीश कुमार ने मामले को लोक अदालत में निपटाने की अर्ज़ी दी.
इसके बाद लोक अदालत ने केस का निपटारा कर दिया. हैरानी की बात ये है कि इसके बाद रविकुमार और उसकी पत्नी ने तिरुपति और चेन्नई में अपने क़रीब 15 करोड़ क़ीमत के फ्लैट TTD बोर्ड को दान कर दिए.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का कहना है कि ये मामला सिर्फ नौ सौ डॉलर की चोरी का नहीं था. हकीकत ये है कि जब हुंडी को खोला जाता था, कैश की गिनती होती थी, उस वक्त सीसीटीवी कैमरे बंद कर दिए जाते थे, करोड़ों रूपए की चोरी होती थी.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का कहना है कि बहुत से भक्त करोड़ों की संपत्ति भगवान बाला जी के नाम कर देते हैं लेकिन बोर्ड के सदस्यों ने कागजों में हेरफेर करके ये संपत्ति अपने नाम करवा ली.
भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी का दावा है कि रविकुमार ने 15 करोड़ की जो संपत्ति मंदिर को दान की है, असल में वो संपत्ति भक्तों ने ही दी थी जो रविकुमार ने अपने नाम करवा ली थी.
तिरूपति मंदिर में घोटाले का केस हाईकोर्ट पहुंच गया है. हाई कोर्ट ने आंध्र प्रदेश के DGP को इस मामले से जुड़े सारे दस्तावेज़ ज़ब्त करके अदालत में पेश करने का आदेश दिया है.
तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे अमीर मंदिर है. मंदिर के पास 22 हजार करोड़ रुपये जमा है, 1300 करोड़ रुपये तो हर साल ब्याज़ से मिलते हैं.
आप अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं कि बालाजी के दर्शन के लिए जो भक्त आते हैं, वो अपनी श्रद्धा के अनुसार हुंडी में कितना दान करते हैं.
सबसे अच्छी बात ये है कि इस दानराशि का इस्तेमाल charitable hospitals और शिक्षा के काम में किया जाता है. अगर कोई मंदिर के इस धन की चोरी करे तो ये महापाप है. भगवान के घर में सेंध लगाने से बड़ा अधर्म और कुकर्म और क्या हो सकता है? इस पाप में बड़े-बड़े लोग जुड़े हुए हैं. इसीलिए इसकी तह तक पहुंचना खतरनाक काम है.
मैं भानु प्रकाश रेड्डी की तारीफ करूंगा कि उन्होंने खतरा मोल लिया, इस लूट को expose किया. अब कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद अब CID भी active हुई है, और उम्मीद है कि सारा मामला जल्दी ही expose होगा.

The body of senior Haryana IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar was cremated eight days after his suicide. His two daughters performed the funeral rites in the presence of acting DGP O.P. Singh. A police contingent gave him the last salute.
The administration had a tough time persuading Puran Kumar’s widow IAS officer Amneet to allow post mortem of the body. She had demanded action against former DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor and other officers for abetting this suicide.
When the administration approached the court to seek permission for post mortem, Puran Kumar’s widow finally consented. In her statement, she said, the administration has promised her a ‘fair, transparent and impartial’ investigation.
Meanwhile, the family of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Lather, who committed suicide after levelling serious corruption charges against Puran Kumar, finally consented for a post-mortem after Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini went to their village and assured the family of ensuring justice.
The family is demanding martyr status for the ASI, who belongs to the Jat community. The chief of Jat Mahasabha Sandeep Bhati has said, 36 biradaris of Jat community will fight for justice and for reforming the police system.
Congress leaders who had gone to meet Dalit IPS officer Puran Kumar’s family a day before, went to ASI Sandeep Lather’s village on Wednesday to console the family. Former CM Bhupinder Hooda demanded that the entire matter be investigated transparently to bring out the whole truth.
The double suicide of IPS officer Puran Kumar and ASI Sandeep Lather is gradually taking the shape of a caste confrontation.
Puran Kumar’s family had been alleging from Day One that the suicide was a result of caste-based harassment. On the other hand, the Jat Mahasabha leaders say, the charges levelled by ASI Sandeep Lather must be investigated and truth must come out.
Jat community leaders say, the matter would not have gone out of control had Puran Kumar’s IAS wife not stopped the post-mortem of her husband’s body and Sandeep would not have committed suicide.
Two days ago, Congress and INLD leaders were seen supporting Puran Kumar’s family, but a day later, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and INLD leader Abhay Chautala, realising caste sensitivities, stood with Sandeep’s family.
Officers of IPS and IAS are not speaking out openly because of Rules of Business for Civil Services, but the two suicides have divided sympathy among the IPS and IAS officers. Here too, a caste divide is clearly emerging.
For Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, he is caught between the devil and the deep sea. His main worry is, his own officers are now on a confrontation course. This is the reason why the Chief Minister is being extremely careful while dealing with this issue.

Stealing Tirupati Lord’s money : A grave sin

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) board is facing serious charges relating to an alleged Rs 100 crore scam linked to theft of donations received at the world famous Tirumala Lord Venkateswara temple. Andhra Pradesh DGP (CID) Ravishankar Ayyanar on Tuesday seized documents relating to alleged swindling of foreign currency notes offered to the ‘Hundi’ in the form of donations by devotees at the Tirupati temple.
The seizure took place a day after the High Court pulled up the police over “slack and indifferent” handling of the probe and failure in timely securing vital evidence.
The controversy dates back to April, 2023, when C.V. Ravikumar, a clerk attached to Pedda Jeeyar Mutt, was caught stealing 900 US dollars from the hundi (donation box). A TTD official Satish Kumar lodged a complaint, police investigated and filed a charge sheet. But before a court could give its verdict, Satish Kumar filed a petition in a Lok Adalat for disposing of the case.
The surprising part was, Ravikumar and his wife donated their flats worth Rs 15 crore in Chennai and Tirupati, to the TTD board, and the case was closed by the Lok Adalat.
TTD board member G. Bhanu Prakash Reddy alleged that the swindle took place during former CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s tenure. He alleged that some ministers and MLAs of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party were involved in the swindle.
Bhanu Prakash Reddy alleges, it was not a matter of theft of USD 900 only. The reality was, whenever the ‘hundi’ was opened for counting cash, cctv cameras were closed, and crores of rupees worth currencies were swindled.
Reddy alleges, the properties worth Rs 15 crore that were ‘donated’ by C.V.Ravikumar to the temple, were the ones that were donated by devotees to the temple, which Ravikumar had registered in his name.
Now since the matter has reached the AP High Court, police has swung into action. The High Court has directed that all seized documents be produced in court.
Tirumala Lord Venkateswara shrine is the world’s second richest temple of the world. It has deposits running into Rs 22,000 crore and it collects interest amounting to Rs 1300 crore annually. You can well imagine the amount of donations that lakhs of devotees offer to the Lord.
The best part is, most of the donated amount goes to running charitable hospitals and educational institutions. Stealing donation is nothing short of a grave sin. What bigger sin can it be if people start swindling the money that is donated to the Lord?
Since there is allegation that there are some top people involved in this swindle, the matter needs to be probed in depth. It is a risky job.
I would like to praise Bhanu Prakash Reddy who took on this risk and exposed the swindle. Now that the CID is active, one should hope that the swindlers will be exposed soon.

पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए आज़म शहबाज़ शरीफ़ ने मिस्र के शर्म अल-शेख़ में वो कारनामा किया जिसकी वजह से हर पाकिस्तानी शर्मसार है. पूरी दुनिया में शहबाज़ शरीफ़ और पाकिस्तान का मज़ाक़ बन रहा है. सोशल मीडिया पर X से लेकर Facebook पर पाकिस्तानी अपने प्रधानमंत्री को कोस रहे हैं, गालियां दे रहे हैं, अपना सिर पीट रहे हैं कि आख़िर उनके मुल्क को ऐसा वज़ीर-ए-आज़म क्यों मिला.

शर्म अल-शेख़ में ग़ज़ा शांति शिखर बैठक हो रही थी, शहबाज शरीफ भी हाथ बांधे ट्रंप के बिल्कुल पीछे खड़े थे. ट्रंप ने आदत के मुताबिक़ अपनी शेखी बघारी. कहा, उन्होंने आठ महीने में आठ युद्ध रुकवा दिए, ये कारनामा दुनिया में कोई नहीं कर पाया. अमेरिका के अब तक के किसी राष्ट्रपति ने शांति के लिए इतना काम नहीं किया.

इसी दौरान ट्रंप ने भारत, पाकिस्तान की बात की. ट्रंप ने अपने भाषण में पहले भारत की तारीफ़ की, फिर ceasefire की पुरानी कहानी सुनाने लगे. फिर ट्रंप ने पीछे खड़े शहबाज़ से पूछा कि वो भारत के साथ ठीक से रहेंगे या नहीं. शहबाज शरीफ मुस्कुरा कर सिर हिलाते रहे और ट्रंप भी उनकी लाचारी पर हंस पड़े.

इसके बाद ट्रंप ने शहबाज़ शरीफ़ की और बेइज़्ज़ती की. ट्रंप ने कहा कि आसिम मुनीर उनकी नज़र में best field marshal हैं और शहबाज़ शरीफ की तरफ देखकर कहा कि आसिम मुनीर तो यहां नहीं हैं, पाकिस्तान के प्राइम मिनिस्टर हैं, इसलिए उन्हीं के लिए ताली बजाइए.

इतना कहने के बाद ट्रंप ने शहबाज शरीफ से कहा कि आप पूरी दुनिया को बताइए कि समिट के दौरान क्या कहा था. शहबाज शरीफ इस तरह भाषण के लिए तैयार नहीं थे लेकिन ट्रंप ने उन्हें आगे बुला लिया.

शहबाज शरीफ ने माइक संभाला और जो कहा, जो किया, उससे ट्रंप तो गदगद् हो गए लेकिन शर्म अल-शेख़ में मौजूद यूरोप और अरब देशों के नेता हैरान रह गए.

पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति की तारीफ़ में क़सीदे पढ़ रहे थे. उस समय इटली की प्रधानमंत्री जॉर्जिया मेलोनी उनके ठीक पीछे खड़ी थीं. शहबाज़ जिस क़दर ट्रंप की चापलूसी में हर हद पार कर रहे थे, उसको सुनने के बाद जॉर्जिया मेलोनी का चेहरा देखने लायक़ था.

अपने वज़ीर-ए-आज़म की इस करतूत से पाकिस्तान की अवाम बेहद नाराज़ है. पाकिस्तान के लोग कह रहे हैं कि शहबाज़ शरीफ़ तो बूट पॉलिश करने वाले हैं, वज़ीर-ए-आज़म के ओहदे के लायक़ नहीं हैं. शहबाज शरीफ ने सारी शराफत छोड़कर पूरी दुनिया के सामने पाकिस्तान की नाक कटवा दी.

पाकिस्तान के सबसे पुराने अंग्रेज़ी अख़बार Dawn ने लिखा कि शहबाज़ ने डिप्लोमैसी को चापलूसी में तब्दील कर दिया है, विदेश नीति को बूट पॉलिश बना दिया है, शहबाज़ ने जो कुछ किया, उससे साफ़ है कि उनकी कोई औक़ात नहीं है, वो बस नाम के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म हैं और उनका काम महफिल में जोकर का रोल अदा करना है.

पाकिस्तान के लोग कह रहे हैं कि ट्रंप ने अपने फायदे के लिए शहबाज़ शरीफ और आसिम मुनीर का इस्तेमाल किया, लेकिन क्या इसके लिए खुद शहबाज़ और मुनीर जिम्मेदार नहीं हैं? पाकिस्तान के हुक्मरान इस कदर लाचार हैं कि ट्रंप ने ज़रा-सा सहारा दिया, तो वो उनसे चिपक गए, न तो चापलूसी करने में कोई कमी रखी, न पाकिस्तान को बेचने में.

जब एक मुल्क के वज़ीरे आज़म और आर्मी चीफ किसी के पैरों में गिर जाएं, तो उनका इस्तेमाल करने वाले का क्या कसूर? शहबाज़ और मुनीर ने अपने फायदे के लिए पाकिस्तान के आत्म सम्मान को गिरवी रख दिया और ये काम उन्होंने निहायत बेशर्मी से, सरेआम, खुल्लम-खुल्ला किया. अब अगर दुनिया उनका मजाक बना रही है तो इसमें दुनिया का क्या कसूर?

हरियाणा पुलिस : IPS और ASI की आत्महत्या एक जैसी कैसे?

हरियाणा पुलिस के IPS अफसर वाई. पूरन कुमार के सुसाइड केस में एक चौंकाने वाला ट्विस्ट आया. पूरन कुमार के खिलाफ जबरन बसूली केस की जांच टीम में शामिल ASI संदीप कुमार लाठर ने आत्महत्या कर ली.

संदीप लाठर रोहतक पुलिस की साइबर सेल में तैनात थे. सुसाइड से पहले उन्होंने छह मिनट का एक वीडियो बनाया, चार पन्नों का एक सुसाइड नोट भी लिखा जिसमें उन्होंने कहा कि पूरन कुमार भ्रष्ट अफसर थे, रोहतक रेंज का IG बनने के बाद पूरन कुमार ने अपनी जाति के भ्रष्ट पुलिस वालों को IG ऑफिस में तैनात किया, इसके बाद वसूली का धंधा शुरू कर दिया.

संदीप लाठर ने आरोप लगाया कि पूरन कुमार अपने गनमैन सुशील कुमार को भेज कर व्यापारियों और आम लोगों से वसूली करते थे. व्यापारियों को ऑफिस में बुलाकर टॉर्चर करते थे, हर महीने पैसे पहुंचाने का दबाव बनाते थे, महिला पुलिस अफसरों को ट्रांसफर की धमकी देकर उनका शारीरिक शोषण करते थे.

आत्महत्या करने से पहले संदीप कुमार ने कहा कि पूरन कुमार ने अपने सुसाइड नोट में DGP शत्रुजीत कपूर और रोहतक के SP नरेन्द्र बिजारणिया पर आरोप लगाए हैं लेकिन हकीकत ये है कि ये दोनों ईमानदार अफसर हैं, दोनों ने पूरन कुमार के करप्शन के खिलाफ एक्शन शुरू किया था, मुख्यमंत्री तक बात पहुंची तो पूरन कुमार का ट्रांसफर किया गया.

संदीप लाठर ने सुसाइड से पहले अपने वीडियो बयान में कहा कि उन्होंने IG पूरन कुमार के गनमैन सुशील और ड्राइवर धर्मेन्द्र को रिश्वत की रकम के साथ रंगे हाथों गिरफ्तार किया था, गनमैन ने पुलिस को दिए बयान में माना कि ये पैसा पूरन कुमार का है.

संदीप कुमार ने दावा किया कि पूरन कुमार के पाप का घड़ा भर चुका था, उसे मालूम था कि अब उसे गिरफ्तार किया जा सकता है, इसीलिए उसने अपने परिवार को बचाने के लिए सुसाइड किया और इसे जातिवाद का रंग देने की कोशिश की.

संदीप लाठर ने कहा कि पूरन कुमार की पत्नी IAS अफसर हैं, तमाम भ्रष्ट अफसर इस परिवार के साथ हैं, इसलिए इस मामले में सच्चाई का बाहर आना आसान नहीं हैं, इसमें कई लोगों की कुर्बानी हो सकती है, और पहली आहुति वो खुद दे रहे हैं.

संदीप कुमार ने मांग की कि पूरन कुमार की IAS पत्नी और उनके पूरे परिवार की संपत्ति की जांच होनी चाहिए, तभी सारी हकीकत सामने आएगी. संदीप ने कहा कि वो अपनी कुर्बानी इसलिए दे रहे है ताकि पूरन कुमार की हकीकत सामने आए, सच की जीत हो.

मंगलवार को कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने चंडीगढ़ जा कर पूरन कुमार के परिवार से मुलाकात की. उनके साथ भूपेंद्र हुड्डा, दीपेंद्र हुड्डा और कुमारी शैलजा थे. राहुल ने मांग की कि सरकार खुदकुशी के लिए ज़िम्मेवार आरोपी अफसरों को तुरंत गिरफ्तार करे.

पूरन कुमार की आत्महत्या का मामला जितना चौंकाने वाला था, उतना ही दुखद ASI संदीप कुमार की आत्महत्या का है.

अब तक जो बातें सामने आई हैं, उनके मुताबिक, पूरन कुमार पर पैसे उगाही का केस था. ASI संदीप उसकी जांच करने वालों में थे. पूरन कुमार की छवि पर सवाल उठ रहे थे, पर संदीप कुमार के बारे में कहा जा रहा है कि वो एक मेहनती और ईमानदार पुलिसवाले थे.

ASI संदीप ने अपने video में जो कुछ बातें कही हैं उससे कई सवाल उठते हैं. एक तो ये कि पूरन कुमार खुद IPS अफसर थे, पुलिस में ताकतवर ओहदे पर थे, उनकी पत्नी IAS अफसर हैं और उनका साला MLA. इतना ताकतवर परिवार हो, तो फिर उनका harassment कैसे हुआ?

और अगर खुदकुशी की वजह harassment नहीं थी, तो क्या थी? ASI संदीप का दावा है कि पूरन कुमार और उनका परिवार भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में फंसने वाला था, उन्हें बचाने के लिए पूरन कुमार ने आत्महत्या की.

सबसे बड़ी बात ASI संदीप ने कही है कि पूरन कुमार की खुदकुशी के बाद उनके परिवार ने अपने आप को बचाने के लिए इस पूरे मामले को जातिवाद का रंग दे दिया. ये बात दिखाई भी दी. जाति के कारण पूरन कुमार के परिवार को राजनीतिक समर्थन मिला, बड़े-बड़े नेता उनके घर गए, पुलिस के बड़े अफसरों को उनके पद से हटा दिया गया.

ASI संदीप के बयान से लगता है कि ये सब बातें उसकी आत्महत्या का कारण बनीं. असलियत तो इस मामले की गहन जांच के बाद ही सामने आएगी. अभी तो सिर्फ perception है. लेकिन कारण जो भी हो, पुलिस में जिम्मेदार ओहदों पर बैठे दो लोग आत्महत्या करने पर मजबूर हो जाएं, ये पूरे system पर सवाल खड़े करता है.

The social media was flooded with memes and posts mocking Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after he flattered US President Donald Trump with effusive praise at the Gaza Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.
With Trump standing by his side, grinning, Shehbaz Sharif said: “Today is one of the greatest days in contemporary history because peace has been achieved after untiring efforts led by President Trump, who is genuinely a man of peace.”
Shehbaz Sharif went on to credit Trump for preventing a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, declaring that “had it not been for this gentleman, the war could have escalated to a level where no one would have lived to tell what happened.”
Shehbaz Sharif said: “And today again, I would like to nominate this great president for Nobel Peace Prize because I genuinely feel that he is the most genuine and most wonderful candidate for Peace Prize, because he has brought not only peace in South Asia, saved millions of people, and today, here in Sharm-el-Sheikh, achieving peace in Gaza, is saving millions of lives in the Middle East.”
After Sharif spoke, Trump responded saying: “Wow! I didn’t expect that. Let’s go home — there’s nothing more I have to say.”
Trump, on his part, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying: “India is a great country with a very good friend of mine at the top and he’s just done a fantastic job. I think Pakistan and India are going to live very nicely together.” Saying this, Trump chuckled and looked at Shehbaz Sharif who was standing behind him, smiling meekly.
Shehbaz Sharif was soon trending on X and Facebook with many Pakistanis abusing their PM for “bootlicking” and saying that he does not deserve to remain the Prime Minister.
Mainstream Pakistani media published editorials criticizing Shehbaz Sharif. The oldest Pakistani English daily newspaper Dawn criticized Shehbaz for converting diplomacy into flattery and foreign policy into boot polishing.
People in Pakistan say, Trump used Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for his own benefit. But the question is: Are not Shehbaz and Asim Munir responsible?
The rulers of Pakistan have become so weak that they clinged to Trump when he gave them some hope. Both of them did not leave any stone unturned to flatter him, nor did they desist from selling Pakistan’s self-respect.
When the Prime Minister and Army Chief of a country fall at the feet of a foreign leader, how can one blame the person who gets flattered?
The moot point is: Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir have mortgaged the self-respect of Pakistan for their own benefits. They did this openly in a brazen and shameless manner. If the entire world now makes fun of Pakistan, how can anybody blame the world?

Mysterious similarities in Haryana IPS and ASI suicides

The double suicide case in Haryana Police is getting curiouser and curiouser.
In a shocking twist, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar Lather, investigating the suicide case of senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, committed suicide on Tuesday, not before writing a four-page suicide note and making a six-minute video in which he levelled charges of corruption against the dead IPS officer.
Sandeep Lather was posted in the cyber cell of Haryana Police in Rohtak.
In his suicide note, he alleged that Y. Puran Kumar was corrupt and after becoming Inspector General of Rohtak Range, he posted corrupt policemen belonging to his caste in the IG office.
He also alleged that Puran Kumar began extorting money from traders using his gunman Sushil Kumar. He also alleged that women police officers were sexually exploited after giving threats of transfer.
Lather alleged that he had caught Puran Kumar’s gunman Sushil and driver Dharmendra red-handed while extorting bribes, and the gunman had admitted that the money was meant for IG Puran Kumar.
ASI Sandeep Kumar’s family members have demanded that Puran Kumar’s IAS officer wife Amneet be arrested.
On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, along with his party leaders Bhupinder Hooda and others went to Puran Kumar’s house and consoled his family members. Later, Rahul Gandhi demanded that the government must take action and arrest those who abetted this suicide. Lok Jan Shakti Party leader Chirag Paswan also met Amneet Kumar and promised justice would be ensured.
The suicide of Puran Kumar is shocking, and the suicide of ASI Sandeep Kumar is sad. Facts that have emerged in public domain so far clearly show that there was a corruption case against Puran Kumar, and ASI Sandeep was one of the investigators.
Questions are being raised about Puran Kumar’s image as a senior police officer, while Sandeep Kumar is known as an honest and hardworking policeman. The allegations made by ASI Sandeep in his video raises several questions.
One, Puran Kumar was a senior IPS officer, he was in a top position, his wife an IAS officer, his brother-in-law an MLA. Why did he face harassment if this family was so powerful? If harassment was not the reason for suicide, then what was the real cause?
Two, ASI Sandeep said, Puran Kumar and his family were going to be nailed in a corruption case, and to save his family, Puran Kumar committed suicide.
The most significant point raised by Sandeep Kumar is, Puran Kumar gave the entire case a caste colour. Because of his caste, IPS officer Puran Kumar got political support from different parties, top leaders visited his house and top police officers were shunted.
Truth will emerge only after a thorough investigation. For the time being, this is only a perception, whatever may be the reason. When two policemen in important positions commit suicide, it raises questions about the entire system.
