Anti-national slogans were raised inside Delhi’s JNU campus again and the university got a bad name. Ten years ago, inside the same JNU campus, anti-national elements had chanted “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Inshallah, Inshallah”.
On Monday night, slogans like “Modi, Amit Shah Teri Kabr Khudegi JNU mein” were raised.
Those who chanted these slogans belong to those organisations which had coined “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge” slogan. The president, vice president and general secretary of JNU students’ union were among those who chanted these slogans.
The main reason behind this protest was the rejection of bail petitions of Delhi riots case accused Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam by the Supreme Court. The petitions were rejected by the apex court, but the sloganeers targeted the Prime Minister and the Home Minister. They were giving death threats to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Can such a protest be justified? Can be it accepted that those sitting on Constitutional posts get death threats in the name of opposing a particular ideology? Did the student leaders cross the limits of freedom of expression? Has JNU become a den of urban Naxals?
These are questions that beg answers. The JNU administration has written a letter to Delhi Police seeking registration of FIR against the students.
The meeting of students outside Sabarmati Hostel inside JNU campus was called on Monday night to protest against police inaction against those who allegedly attacked JNU students in 2020. The place was named Guerilla Dhaba. When the crowd gathered, it transpired that the meeting was called to protest rejection of bail petitions of Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam.
So long as the slogans were chanted, it was alright, but when the slogans veered to “Modi Teri Kabr Khudegi’, “Amit Shah Teri Kabr Khudegi”, the limit was crossed.
BJP leaders have demanded action against the students who chanted anti-national slogans. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, JNU has become the head office of tukde-tukde gang and these students must face sedition cases.
What happened in JNU is a clear challenge to patriots. The issue is not about slogans against PM Modi and Amit Shah. It is a crime against humanity to give a call for the death of any individual. Modi was only an excuse, their main target was India.
It was a premeditated attack by urban Naxals from the JNU campus. These elements are quite clever. They chant Inquilab slogans, they shout slogans to condemn RSS and Modi, but in reality, they are challenging the supremacy of law. It is a challenge to our Constitution and Supreme Court.

दिल्ली में जवाहर लाल नेहरु विश्वविद्यालय JNU की ज़मीन से एक बार फिर देश के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई गई. JNU को एक बार फिर बदनाम किया गया. जिस JNU में दस साल पहले ‘भारत तेरे टुकड़े होंगे, इंशा अल्लाह इंशा अल्लाह’ के नारे लगे थे, उसी कैंपस में ‘मोदी तेरी कब्र खुदेगी, अमित शाह तेरी कब्र खुदेगी’ जैसे नारे लगाए गए.
नारे लगाने वाले उन्हीं संगठनों से जुड़े हैं, जिन्होंने ‘देश के टुकड़े होंगे’ जैसे नारे लगाए थे. JNU में लेफ्ट फ्रंट के छात्र नेताओं ने JNU छात्र संघ की अध्यक्ष, उपाध्यक्ष, महासचिव ने अपने समर्थकों के साथ जम कर नारेबाजी की.
इनकी नाराजगी की वजह ये थी कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली दंगों के आरोपी उमर खालिद और शरजील इमाम की ज़मानत की अर्ज़ी खारिज कर दी थी. फैसला सुप्रीम कोर्ट का था लेकिन गुस्सा प्रधानमंत्री और गृहमंत्री पर उतारा गया.
मोदी और अमित शाह की मौत की कामना की गई, क्या विरोध करने का ये तरीका ठीक है? क्या विचारधारा के विरोध का मतलब संवैधानिक पदों पर बैठे लोगों की मौत की कामना करना है? क्या छात्र नेता अपनी हदें पार कर रहे हैं? क्या JNU अब अर्बन नक्सल्स का अड्डा बन गया है?
JNU प्रशासन ने दिल्ली पुलिस को पत्र लिख कर इन छात्रों के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज़ करने के लिए कहा है.
सोमवार की रात JNU के साबरमती हॉस्टल के बाहर AISA और SFI के छात्र नेताओं की एक बैठक बुलाई गई, इसे नाम दिया गया गुरिल्ला ढाबा.
बताया गया कि छात्र संगठनों के लोग साबरमती हॉस्टल के बाहर 2020 में JNU में छात्रों पर हुए हमलों के विरोध में प्रोटेस्ट करेंगे क्योंकि उस मामले में अभी तक कोई एक्शन नहीं हुआ लेकिन जब भीड़ जुटी तो समझ आया कि विरोध प्रदर्शन उमर खालिद और शरजील इमाम की ज़मानत अर्जी खारिज होने के खिलाफ थी.
नारेबाज़ी तक ठीक था लेकिन थोड़ी ही देर के बाद ‘मोदी तेरी क़ब्र खुदेगी, अमित शाह तेरी क़ब्र खुदेगी, JNU की धरती पर खुदेगी’, जैसे नारे लगाने शुरू कर दिए. फिर RSS, BJP, अंबानी, अडानी के ख़िलाफ़ नारे लगने लगे, भगवा को शिकस्त देने के दावे किए गए.
साबरमती हॉस्टल के बाहर जो गुरिल्ला ढाबा प्रोटेस्ट हुआ, उसमें जिस तरह के देश को शर्मसार करने वाले नारे लगे, इसी तरह के नारे इसी JNU में इसी जगह पर दस साल पहले भी लगे थे. तब भारत के टुकड़े-टुकड़े करने की कामना की गई थी.
JNU प्रशासन ने कहा है कि विरोध के नाम पर विश्वविद्यालय की आचार संहिता को तोड़ा गया, लोकतांत्रिक आज़ादी के नाम पर संवैधानिक पदों पर बैठे लोगों के खिलाफ अपमानजनक नारेबाज़ी की गई, इससे कैंपस का माहौल बिगड़ सकता है.
BJP के नेताओं ने इस तरह की नारेबाजी पर नाराज़गी जाहिर की. केंद्रीय मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने कहा कि JNU टुकड़े-टुकड़े गैंग का हेड-ऑफिस बन गया है, इस तरह की नारे लगाने वालों के खिलाफ देशद्रोह का मुक़दमा चलना चाहिए.
JNU में जो हुआ, उसने एक बार फिर देशभक्तों को ललकारा है. सवाल सिर्फ मोदी और अमित शाह के खिलाफ नारे लगाने का नहीं है. किसी भी व्यक्ति की मौत की कामना करना इंसानियत के खिलाफ अपराध है लेकिन मोदी तो बहाना हैं, देश निशाना है.
JNU में जो हुआ वो अर्बन नक्सलों का सोचा-समझा हमला है. ये लोग बड़े चालाक हैं. इंकलाब का नारा लगाते हैं, मोदी और RSS का नाम लेकर शोर मचाते हैं लेकिन जिस फैसले को ये चुनौती दे रहे हैं वो फैसला सुप्रीम कोर्ट का है.
JNU में लगे ये नारे हमारे संविधान और सुप्रीम कोर्ट को चुनौती है. इसे हल्के में नहीं लिया जाना चाहिए.

वेनेजुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मादुरो और उनकी पत्नी सिलिया फ्लोरेस को न्यूयॉर्क के मैनहटन फेडरल कोर्ट में पेश किया गया. दोनों के हाथों में हथकड़ियां लगी हुई थी. अदालत में मादुरो ने कहा कि मैं अभी भी अपने देश का राष्ट्रपति हूं, मैं बेगुनाह हूं, मुझे मेरे घर से जबरन उठा कर यहां लाया गया है. फ्लोरेस ने कहा, मैं वेनेज़ुएला की फर्स्ट लेडी हूं और मैं बेगुनाह हूं.
फ्लोरेस के माथे और कनपटी पर पट्टियां बंधी हुई थी. जज ने दोनों से कहा कि उन्हें बाद में अपनी पूरी बात कहने का मौका मिलेगा. 17 मार्च को इस केस में अगली सुनवाई होगी. मादुरो और फ्लोरेस के वकील उनकी ज़मानत की अर्जी देने वाले हैं, साथ ही वेनेजुएला दूतावास से संपर्क की मांग भी की गई है.
संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की आपातकालीन बैठक में रूस, ईरान, फ्रांस, डेनमार्क और कोलम्बिया के राजदूतों ने मादुरो और उनकी पत्नी को अमेरिकी सेना द्वारा अगवा किये जाने की कार्रवाई की निंदा की, जबकि अमेरिकी प्रतिनिधि ने कहा कि मादुरो के खिलाफ नशीले पदार्थ की तस्करी में लिप्त होने के गंभीर आरोप हैं.
राष्ट्रपति मदुरो पर ड्रग्स के कारोबार, आतंकवाद और अमेरिका के ख़िलाफ़ साज़िश रचने जैसे आरोप लगाए गए हैं. कुल मिलाकर ये मदुरो की कोर्ट में पेशी कम, अमेरिकी ताकत की नुमाइश ज्यादा लग रही थी.
मदुरो को उनके बेडरूम से अगवा करने के बाद राष्ट्रपति डोनल्ड ट्रंप ने साफ कर दिया कि अब उनकी निगाह कोलंबिया, क्यूबा, ग्रीनलैंड और मैक्सिको पर है.
अमेरिका के उपराष्ट्रपति जे. डी. वेंस ने कहा कि अमेरिका पश्चिमी गोलार्द्ध पर अपना वर्चस्व चाहता है और ये करके रहेगा.
ट्रंप सैन्य कार्रवाई के जरिए निकोलस मादुरो का अपहरण करने के बाद बहुत जोश में हैं. वो अब दुनिया के तमाम देशों को अमेरिका की सैन्य और आर्थिक ताकत के दम पर डराना चाहते हैं. इसीलिए न्यूयॉर्क में जब वेनेज़ुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मादुरो को कोर्ट में पेश किय़ा गया तो आम अपराधियों की तरह पूरी दुनिया के सामने उनकी परेड कराई गई. सुरक्षाकर्मी उनको घसीटते हुए कोर्ट परिसर के अंदर ले गए.
अमेरिका ये दिखाने की कोशिश कर रहा है कि मादुरो वेनेज़ुएला के राष्ट्रपति नहीं, बहुत बड़े अपराधी हैं जिनके साथ ये सुलूक होना चाहिए. वहीं, वेनेज़ुएला में अफरातफरी का माहौल है. मादुरो के समर्थक उनको रिहा कराने के लिए प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं जबकि उनके विरोधी मादुरो को अमेरिका ले जाने की ख़ुशी में जश्न मना रहे हैं.
वेनेज़ुएला के आम लोगों को लग रहा है कि अब उनके देश में हालात बिगड़ेंगे. ज़रूरी सामानों की क़िल्लत हो जाएगी. इसलिए हज़ारों लोग रात भर लाइन लगा कर रोजमर्रा की जरूरतों का सामान ख़रीद रहे हैं.
उपराष्ट्रपति डेल्सी रॉडरिगेज़ ने वेनेज़ुएला के राष्ट्रपति के तौर पर कमान संभाल ली है. शपथ लेने के बाद नई राष्ट्रपति ने अमेरिका के साथ सहयोग करने का प्रस्ताव रखा है. डेल्सी पिछले 7 साल से वेनेज़ुएला की उपराष्ट्रपति थीं और निकोलस मादुरो की क़रीबी समझी जाती हैं लेकिन जैसे ही डेल्सी ने वेनेज़ुएला की कमान संभाली, वैसे ही ट्रंप ने उनको भी धमकी दे डाली.
ट्रंप ने कहा कि उत्तरी अमेरिका और दक्षिण अमेरिका के सारे देश अमेरिका के दबदबे को स्वीकार करें, वेनेज़ुएला की नई राष्ट्रपति अमेरिका की सभी शर्तें मान लें, अमेरिका के निर्देश के हिसाब से अपनी सरकार चलाएं, वरना उनका अंजाम निकोलस मादुरो से भी बुरा होगा.
वेनेज़ुएला के बाद अब ट्रंप की नजर उसके पड़ोसी देश कोलंबिया पर है. ट्रंप ने कोलंबिया को भी सैन्य कार्रवाई की धमकी दी. ट्रंप ने कहा है कि कोलंबिया के राष्ट्रपति गुस्ताव पेट्रो एक ड्रग डीलर हैं, वो कोलंबिया से अमेरिका में ड्रग्स की सप्लाई करते हैं, लेकिन अब गुस्ताव पेट्रो के दिन भी पूरे हो गए हैं.
असल में डॉनल्ड ट्रंप अमेरिका के पांचवें राष्ट्रपति जेम्स मनरो की क़रीब 200 साल पुरानी एक नीति को लागू करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. जेम्स मनरो ने कहा था कि उत्तरी और दक्षिण अमेरिका, यूनाइटेड स्टेट्स के इलाक़े हैं और इसमें किसी और देश का दख़ल अमेरिका बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा.
अब 200 साल बाद ट्रंप कह रहे हैं कि उनका देश उत्तरी और दक्षिण अमेरिका में कुछ भी करने के लिए आज़ाद है, वो जिस देश में चाहेंगे, दख़ल देंगे, वहां की सरकार गिराएंगे, नई सरकार बनाएंगे, सेना भेजेंगे और किसी ग़ैर-अमेरिकी देश का दख़ल बर्दाश्त नहीं करेंगे. इसी नीति के तहत ट्रंप लैटिन अमेरिका के उन सभी देशों को टारगेट कर रहे हैं जहां ट्रंप की नीतियों का विरोध करने वाली सरकारें हैं.
ट्रंप ने कोलंबिया के अलावा, क्यूबा, मेक्सिको और पनामा को भी धमकाया है. ट्रंप पनामा नहर का नियंत्रण अपने हाथ में लेना चाहते हैं जबकि प्रशांत और अटलांटिक महासागरों को जोड़ने वाली ये नहर पनामा की है.
क्यूबा के साथ तो अमेरिका की दुश्मनी 65 साल से भी ज़्यादा पुरानी है, जब कम्युनिस्ट क्रांति के बाद क्यूबा में फिदेल कास्त्रो ने सत्ता संभाली थी और अमेरिकी कंपनियों को क्यूबा से निकाल बाहर किया था. इसलिए, वेनेज़ुएला के राष्ट्रपति को अगवा करने के बाद ट्रंप ने कहा कि अब क्यूबा का भी नंबर आने वाला है क्योंकि, क्यूबा पूरी तरह से वेनेज़ुएला के भरोसे था. लेकिन अब क्यूबा की सप्लाई लाइन बंद हो गई है. इसलिए क्यूबा की सरकार ख़ुद ब ख़ुद गिर जाएगी, अमेरिका को वहां सेना भेजने की जरूरत ही नहीं पड़ेगी.
वेनेज़ुएला में अमेरिकी कार्रवाई का सबसे ज़्यादा विरोध अमेरिका के पड़ोसी देश मेक्सिको में हो रहा है. मेक्सिको में हज़ारों लोग अमेरिका के ख़िलाफ़ प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं. मेक्सिको की राष्ट्रपति क्लाउडिया शीनबॉम भी अमेरिका के ख़िलाफ़ प्रोटेस्ट मार्च में शामिल हो चुकी हैं. इसलिए ट्रंप के निशाने पर मैक्सिको भी है. ट्रंप ने कहा है कि मेक्सिको की सत्ता पर ड्रग माफ़िया का कब्जा है, वहां की राष्ट्रपति क्लाउडिया ड्रग माफ़िया से डरती हैं, इसलिए मैक्सिको में सैन्य कार्रवाई ज़रूरी है.
सबसे हैरानी की बात तो ये है कि ट्रंप अब अमेरिका के सबसे पुराने मित्र देशों को धमकाने लगे हैं. ट्रंप ने कहा है कि वो अगले दो महीनों के भीतर दुनिया के सबसे बड़े द्वीप ग्रीनलैंड को अपने क़ब्ज़े में ले लेंगे.
उत्तरी ध्रुव के पास ग्रीनलैंड इस वक़्त डेनमार्क का हिस्सा है. डेनमार्क NATO का सदस्य है. डेनमार्क को किसी भी हमले से बचाने की जिम्मेदारी अमेरिका की भी है लेकिन अब ट्रंप ख़ुद ग्रीनलैंड पर हमला करके उस पर क़ब्ज़ा करने की धमकी दे रहे हैं.
असल में ट्रंप की धमकी के पीछे दो वजहें हैं. एक, अमेरिका की नज़र ग्रीनलैंड के प्राकृतिक संसाधन पर हैं, दूसरा, ट्रंप को लगता है कि उत्तरी ध्रुव पर रूस और चीन का दबदबा है, यूरोपीय देश इन दोनों का मुक़ाबला नहीं कर सकते, ऐसे में अगर ग्रीनलैंड अमेरिका के नियंत्रण में रहेगा तो रूस-चीन का मुकाबला करने में मदद मिलेगी.
वैसे ग्रीनलैंड में अमेरिकी सेना का बेस पहले से मौजूद है. फिर भी ट्रंप ने धमकी दी है कि वो ग्रीनलैंड पर क़ब्ज़ा करके रहेंगे.
ट्रंप के इस बयान पर डेनमार्क ने कड़ा ऐतराज़ जताया है. डेनमार्क ने कहा कि अमेरिका की ये धमकी किसी भी सूरत में बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी.
पूरी दुनिया अचरज में है कि अमेरिका ने रातों रात एक दूसरे देश के राष्ट्रपति को उठा लिया. क्या अन्तरराष्ट्रीय कानून इस बात की इजाज़त देता है?
अब अमेरिका वेनेजुएला को चलाना चाहता है. अमेरिकी मीडिया में दो तरह की बातें कही जा रही हैं. एक, अमेरिका की दिलचस्पी वेनेजुएला के तंल भंडारों में है. अमेरिका नहीं चाहता कि वेनेजुएला अपना तेल डॉलर के अलावा किसी और मुद्रा में बेचे. चीन को युआन में तेल बेचना तो अमेरिका को बिलकुल पसंद नहीं आया और वेनेजुएला कोई पहला देश नहीं है जिसे पेट्रोडॉलर में तेल न बेचने का खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ा.
इराक़ और लीबिया ने भी यही करने की कोशिश की थी. दुनिया ने सद्दाम हुसैन और गद्दाफी का हश्र देखा. आज हथकड़ियां लगाए मादुरो को जब कोर्ट में पेश किया गया तो साफ हो गया कि मादुरो का अंत क्या होगा लेकिन बड़ा सवाल ये है कि क्या वेनेजुएला के लोग इस बात को स्वीकार करेंगे कि कोई विदेशी ताकत उनके मुल्क को नियंत्रित करे? क्या वहां के लोग चाहेंगे कि वेनेजुएला के संसाधनों का इस्तेमाल उनके कल्याण की बजाय अमेरिका को मजबूत करने के लिए किया जाए?

Handcuffed Venezuelan President Nicola Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were produced in Manhattan Federal Court of New York, flanked by US marshals.
In court, Maduro and his wife pleaded not guilty. Maduro said, ‘I am still the president of my country, I am a decent man’. Cilia Flores said,’ I am the first lady of the Republic of Venezuela. I am not guilty, I am completely innocent’.
Cilia Flores had bandages on her forehead and right temple when she entered the courtroom flanked by security personnel. Her defense attorney said Flores would need a physical evaluation and potential treatment for “significant injuries” she sustained during the “abduction.”
Maduro sought consular help from the local Venezuelan embassy. The judge adjourned the next hearing to March 17.
Meanwhile, in the UN Security Council, ambassadors of Russia, Iran, France, Denmark and Colombia condemned the military action and abduction of Maduro and his wife, while the American ambassador listed the drug-related smuggling charges against Maduro.
Overall, it was less of a court hearing and more of a public display of American might. Both the Venezuelan president and his wife were handcuffed and dragged by US marshals towards the New York court as dreaded criminals, and images of this were flashed live across the world.
The US is trying to show to the world that Maduro is not a president, but an international criminal who must be dealt with severely.
After abducting Maduro and his wife from their bedroom in Caracas and airlifting them, US President Donald Trump has clearly set his next targets : Colombia, Mexico, Cuba and Greenland.
US Vice-President J. D. Vance has already said, American dominance on western hemisphere will continue. Meanwhile, in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas, Maduro’s colleague Delcy Rodrigues has been installed as interim president. Delcy Rodrigues was the vice-president for the last seven years.
Soon after she took over, Trump issued her a clear warning: “If she doesn’t do what’s right, she is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro.”
Trump has now set his eyes on Colombia. Trump implicitly warned Colombian President Gustavo Petro when he told reporters: “Colombia is very sick too, run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States. And he’s not going to be doing it very long. Let me tell you”.
Asked if he had similar plans for Cuba, Trump said, “Cuba looks like it’s ready to fall. Cuba now has no income. They got all of their income from Venezuela, from Venezuelan oil. They’re not getting any of it. Cuba literally is ready to fall.”
Trump is literally following the Monroe Doctrine. It was floated by America’s fifth President James Monroe nearly 200 years ago in 1823.
At that time, Monroe had said, the Western Hemisphere is closed to future colonization and any European interference in the region will be seen as hostile. In return, he pledged US neutrality in European conflicts and promised the US would not meddle in their existing colonies.
The doctrine established distinct spheres of influence and asserted US dominance in the north and south Americas.
Panama is also on Trump’s radar. The US wants to control the Panama canal that links the Pacific to the Atlantic.
In Mexico, Trump is considering bombing cartels trafficking fentanyl to the United States. There are already protests in Mexico and President Claudia Sheinbaum has taken part in protests. Trump says, drug cartels have taken control of power in Mexico and Claudia Sheinbaum fears taking action against them.
The most astonishing part is Greenland.
Denmark has been in control of Greenland since 1814. When Denmark and Norway separated in 1814, Greenland was transferred from the Norwegian to the Danish crown. Denmark ended Greenland’s status as a colony, and integrated it fully into the Danish state.
Moreover, Denmark has been a NATO ally and the US is expected to provide protection to Denmark. There are two main reasons why Trump wants to annex Greenland.
One, it has vast reserves of rare earth resources which the US covets, and two, Trump feels both Russia and China are trying to expand their dominance in the North Pole region and the European countries cannot counter them. The US already has a military base in Greenland.
The world is astonished how the US used its army to kidnap the head of state of a country from his bedroom and took him and his wife as prisoners to be produced in its court.
Does international law allow this? Trump says, American will now “run” Venezuela. There are speculations in American media that the US covets the huge crude reserves that Venezuela has. Secondly, the US does not want Venezuela to sell its crude to any country in any currency other than the US dollar. The US does not want China to buy Venezuelan crude in its currency, yuan.
Venezuela is not the first country which is facing action from the US for not selling its crude in petro dollars. Iraq and Libya had tried similar things in the past. The world knows what happened to Saddam Hussein and Muammar Gaddafi.
When Nicolas Maduro and his wife were produced in handcuffs in a US court, their fate was sealed. But the main question is: Will the people of Venezuela accept that a foreign power will control their nation?
Will the people of Venezuela accept that their resources will be used to strengthen American economy instead of being spent on their welfare?

दो दुखभरी घटनाओं के साथ ये साल 2025 खत्म हो रहा है. देहरादून में कुछ युवकों ने त्रिपुरा के एक छात्र एंजेल चकमा की हत्या कर दी. शराब के नशे में धुत्त युवकों ने एंजेल चकमा को इसलिए मार डाला क्योंकि वह दिखने में अलग था. वह बार-बार कहता रहा, मैं भारतीय हूं, I am Indian, लेकिन गुंडों ने उसकी बात नहीं सुनी. उस पर चाकुओं से हमला कर दिया.
एंजेल चकमा और उसका भाई बुरी तरह जख्मी हो गए. एंजेल 17 दिन मौत से लड़ा लेकिन हार गया. उत्तराखंड पुलिस ने पांच लड़कों को गिरफ्तार किया, इनमें से दो नाबालिग हैं. छठवां आरोपी नेपाल भाग गया है. उसे पकड़ने के लिए पुलिस की एक टीम नेपाल भेजी गई है.
उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने एंजेल चकमा के पिता तरुण चकमा से बात की, अपराधियों को सख्त से सख्त सजा दिलाने का वादा किया लेकिन इस मामले में उत्तराखंड की पुलिस की भूमिका भी सवालों के घेरे में हैं.
एंजेल चकमा के पिता का आरोप है कि पुलिस ने FIR दर्ज करने में तीन दिन लगाये. उन्होने बताया कि बेटे पर हमले की खबर मिलने के बाद वह देहरादून पहुंचे. उस वक्त बेटे की हालत गंभीर थी, लेकिन उस वक्त तक पुलिस ने FIR भी दर्ज नहीं की थी.
तरुण चकमा ने बताया कि उन्होंने खुद वारदात वाली जगह पर जा कर CCTV फुटेज खोजा, पुलिस को सबूत दिखाए, लेकिन पुलिस ने केस दर्ज करने से इंकार कर दिया. तरुण चकमा ने BSF के अफसरों से बात की, नॉर्थ ईस्ट के नेताओं से फोन करवाया, त्रिपुरा के मुख्यमंत्री से बात हुई, तब जाकर हमले के तीन दिन के बाद पुलिस ने केस दर्ज किया.
तरुण चकमा ने कहा कि जिसका बेटा अस्पताल में मौत से लड़ रहा हो, वह पुलिस के चक्कर काटता रहे, इससे ज्यादा दुख की बात और क्या हो सकती है.
उधर त्रिपुरा की राजधानी अगरतला में सैकड़ों नौजवानों ने प्रोटैस्ट किया, एंजेल चकमा के हत्यारों को फांसी पर लटकाने की मांग की. इसी तरह के कैंडल मार्च देहरादून में भी निकाले गये. देहरादून के नौजवान भी अपने साथी की हत्या पर गुस्से में हैं.
एंजेल चकमा कोई अपराधी नहीं था. उसकी किसी से कोई व्यक्तिगत दुश्मनी नहीं थी. वह देहरादून में MBA की पढाई कर रहा था. 9 दिंसबर को एंजेल अपने भाई माइकल के साथ मार्केट गया था. वहां कुछ गुंडों ने उन्हें घेर लिया, दोनों भाइयों पर रेसियल कमेंट करने लगे.
माइकल ने विरोध किया तो गुंडों ने एंजेल को चाकू मार दिया और वहां से भाग गए.
जिस एंजेल चकमा को ‘चिंकी’ और ‘मोमोज़’ कहकर चिढ़ाया गया, जिसे विदेशी बताकर मारा गया, उसके पिता तरुण चकमा BSF में हैं, सीमा पर देश की रक्षा करते हैं.
देहरादून के एसएसपी अजय सिंह का कहना है कि ये मामला racial कमेंट का नहीं, बल्कि दो गुटों में झगड़े का है. अब हत्या क्यों हुई, ये तो जांच के बाद साफ होगा लेकिन एंजेल की हत्या से त्रिपुरा के लोगों में बेहद नाराजगी है.
इस घटना के बाद देहरादून में पढ़ने वाले नॉर्थ ईस्ट के छात्र परेशान हैं. छात्रों ने कहा कि देहरादून ही नहीं, देश के दूसरे हिस्सों में भी नॉर्थ ईस्ट के छात्रों को इस तरह का नस्ल के आधार पर नफरती कमेंट्स झेलने पड़ते हैं, सरकार को इसके खिलाफ सख्त कानून बनाना चाहिए.
इसी तरह की एक दूसरी घटना तमिलनाडु में हुई. एक प्रवासी मजदूर पर नशे में धुत्त चार लड़कों ने हंसिए से हमला कर दिया. सिराज नामक यह मजदूर चेन्नई से पैसेंजर ट्रेन पर सवार हुआ, ट्रेन में कुछ लड़कों ने सिराज की गर्दन पर धारदार हंसिया रख दिया और रील बनाने लगे.
जब सिराज ने विरोध किया तो चारों आरोपी उसे तिरुत्तानी रेलवे स्टेशन के पास एक सुनसान जगह पर ले गए और उस पर हंसिये से कई वार किए.
हैरान करने वाली बात ये है कि इस घटना का वीडियो इन्हीं लड़को में से एक ने बनाया और वीडियो के अंत में आरोपियों ने विक्ट्री साइन भी दिखाया. पता चला है कि चारों आरोपी किशोर हैं. घायल सिराज को अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है.
उत्तराखंड में 24 साल के छात्र की निर्मम हत्या, तमिलनाडु में 34 साल के प्रवासी मजदूर के गर्दन पर वार, समाज के चेहरे पर ऐसे बदनुमा दाग़ हैं जिन्हें धुलने में कई बरस लग जाएंगे.
ये साल इतने शर्मनाक तरीके से विदा होगा, ये कभी सोचा नहीं था. साल के आखिरी महीने में चार ऐसे मामले हुए जो निहायत ही शर्मनाक हैं. देहरादून और तिरुवल्लुर में हमला करने वाले नशे में धुत थे. इसी महीने ओडिशा में दो प्रवासी मजदूरों की पीट पीट कर हत्या हुई. केरल में 31 साल के युवक को बांग्लादेशी कहकर मार दिया गया.
इन सारे मामलों में सोशल मीडिया पर रील पोस्ट की गई . अपराध करने वालों के दिलोदिमाग़ में नफ़रत का ज़हर भरा था. इसे तूल देने वाले सोशल मीडिया के घातक प्रचार को अनदेखा नहीं किया जा सकता. नफरती जुर्म की इन घटनाओं को छिटपुट घटना बता कर अनदेखा नहीं किया जा सकता.
अगर राज्य सरकारों ने राजनीति से ऊपर उठकर ऐसी घटनाओं को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया, अपने राज्यों में आए लोगों को सुरक्षा नहीं दी, तो ये घाव और गहरा हो जाएगा.

The year 2025 is ending with two sad news. One, the murder of a youth from Tripura in Dehradun by a group of youths because of his appearance, and two, the lethal attack on a migrant labourer by some juveniles in Tamil Nadu.
In Dehradun on December 9, an MBA student Anjel Chakma went to the local market with his brother Michael where they were accosted by some local youths who taunted them with comments like “Chinky”, “Momos”. They attacked both the brothers and during the fight, Anjel was stabbed with a knife. Anjel died in hospital after battling with death for 17 days.
Dehradun police has arrested five youths, of whom two were juveniles. The main accused fled to Nepal, and a police team has been sent to nab him. During the fight, Anjel repeatedly told them “I am not Chinese, I am an Indian”, but the attackers did not spare him.
After protests erupted in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha spoke to his counterpart in Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Uttarakhand CM spoke to Anjel’s father Tarun Chakma, a BSF jawan and assured him that justice will be done.
The role of Uttarakhand police has also come to question. Tarun Chakma said, when police did nothing after the attack, he reached Dehradun, collected and showed CCTV footage to police, but police refused to file an FIR. He then spoke to senior BSF officers, asked North-East state leaders to phone police, and after three days, the FIR was registered.
Tarun Chakma said it was really heart breaking for a father who, instead of attending to his injured son, had to make rounds of police. “Nothing can be more saddening”, he said.
Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh says, the fight was not due to racial comment, but because of a fight between two groups. It is up to the prosecutors to decide the real reason behind the attack.
Students from North East studying in Uttarakhand are worried. They are demanding a strong law to prevent harassment of North-East students on grounds of race.
In the second incident in Tamil Nadu, a migrant worker was attacked with a sickle by four juveniles inside a passenger train running from Chennai. The worker Siraj tried to stop the youths, who took him to an isolated place near Thiruttani station and attacked him with sickles.
The attackers made a video and posted it on social media with a victory ‘V’ sign. All the four attackers were juveniles and were under influence of ganja.
The murder in Uttarakhand and the lethal attack on a migrant in Tamil Nadu are dark spots on our society and it will take years to wash them off.
Nobody thought such brutal incidents would happen at the fag end of the year in the midst of festivities. Four other similar incidents have also taken place this month. In Odisha, two migrant workers were lynched, while in Kerala a 31-year-old man was killed on suspicion that he was a Bangladeshi.
Reels of such attacks were posted on social media, which is worrying. It shows the level of hate in the minds of those who committed these crimes. One cannot ignore such hateful acts being promoted through social media.
Incidents of hate crimes cannot be taken as stray incidents. Now is the time for all state governments to rise above politics and deal with such incidents with an iron hand. If protection is not provided to outsiders, the malady can become deeper.

The public lynching of another Hindu, Amrit Mandal, in Bangladesh has shocked the conscience of people in both India and Bangladesh. Twentyine-year-old Amrit Mandal was beaten to death by a jihadist mob in Rajbari district. While police claimed that Mandal was an extortionist and he died in a rival clash, the videos belie the claim.
Earlier, a Hindu Dipu Chandra Das was lynched by a jihadist mob in Mymensingh. Dipu was not only lynched but was later hanged from a tree and his body was set on fire. Video of his brutal murder has caused consternation in world capitals.
The lynching of Amrit Mandal took place on the day Begum Khaleda Zia’s son Tarique Rahman arrived in Bangladesh after 17 years of self-exile in UK. Lakhs of supporters of Bangladesh Nationalist Party welcomed Rahman as he went from Dhaka airport to the venue of rally.
Tarique Rahman appealed to people to maintain peace and live in brotherhood with other communities. He also appealed to radicals not to take law in their hands.
Rahman, considered a frontrunner for the post of Prime Minister in February elections, said, “I have a plan”. He said, he wanted to take Bangladesh on the path of progress and to achieve this aim, peace and safety of all is necesary.
Bangladesh will go to polls on February 12. Last year, after the July uprising, Sheikh Hasina had to leave the country. She is presently staying in self-exile in India. Under pressure from Islamic radicals, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus had banned Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League. Hasina’s party cannot contest elections.
Hasina’s main rival Begum Khaleda Zia is 80 and is bed-ridden. There is a political vacuum at present in Bangladesh and all political parties are vying for power. Khaleda Zia’s BNP has forged an alliance with Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam and Tarique Rahman may emerge as the prime ministerial candidate.
Despite Rahman’s appeal for peace, Islamic radicals are on the rampage across the country. In Dhaka, Islamic radicals protested again demanding arrest of the killers of anti-India radical Usman Hadi.
Police claimed, it arrested Himon Rahman Sikdar, but later it turned out that Himon Sikdar had no direct connection with Usman Hadi’s murder. HImon Sikdar is a collegue of Alamgir Sheikh who was driving the motorbike on which the killer was pillion riding, as he fired at Usman Hadi.
Awami League leaders allege, police is only trying to misguide the probe because the fact is that Usman Hadi was killed at the instance of Muhammad Yunus. These leaders say, thousands of Islamic radicals were released from jails by Muhammad Yunus, and these radicals are causing violence and mayhem throughout the country.
Dhaka Police has arrested a terrorist named Ataur Rahman. He has been inciting Islamic radicals to murder Hindus. Ataur Rahman was plotting to carry out a big massacre of Hindus to inflame passions. He is a disciple of Mufti Haroon Azhar, who has close connections with Pakistan’s Lashkar-e-Taiyyaba.
The killing of Hindus by mobs is an issue that worries all right-thinking people. Those who brutally kill innocent people in the name of Islam cannot be true Muslims. Islamic radicals are on the rampage in Bangladesh and Muhammad Yunus’ regime is indirectly patronizing them.
Tarique Rahman, who has returned to Bangladesh after 17 years, has spoken positively. He has promised to take all communities in his endeavour to restore peace in Bangladesh, but the fact that his party BNP is in alliance with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam cannot be ignored. BNP had formed a government in the past with the help of Jamaat-e-Islami. It is difficult to say how far Tarique Rahman can stay true to his promise despite hard political realities.

बांग्लादेश में एक और हिंदू नौजवान को कट्टरपंथियों ने पीट-पीटकर मार डाला. बांग्लादेश के राजबाड़ी जिले में 29 साल के अमृत मंडल को जिहादियों की भीड़ ने घेर कर बुरी तरह पीटा, उसे इतना मारा कि मौके पर ही उसकी मौत हो गई.
इससे पहले मैमनसिंह में दीपू चंद्र दास को सरेआम चौराहे पर जिंदा जला दिया गया था. अमृत मंडल के साथ ये हैवानियत उस वक्त हुई जब 17 साल बाद लंदन से बांग्लादेश लौटे खालिदा जिया के बेटे तारिक रहमान ने कट्टरपंथियों से कानून हाथ में ने लेने की अपील की, सर्वधर्म सम भाव, शान्ति और सद्भाव बनाए रखने की अपील की.
तारिक रहमान के स्वागत में बांग्लादेश नेशनलिस्ट पार्टी के लाखों समर्थक ढाका पहुंचे थे. चूंकि पिछले कुछ दिनों से बांग्लादेश में लगातार हिन्दुओं पर हमले हो रहे हैं, हिंदुओं को डराया-धमकाया जा रहा था, इसलिए तारिक रहमान ने बांग्लादेश पहुंचते ही कहा कि वो सबको साथ लेकर चलना चाहते हैं, बांग्लादेश में कट्टरपंथ नहीं, सभी धर्मों को बराबरी का दर्ज़ा देना चाहते हैं.
तारिक रहमान ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश को अगर तरक्की करनी है तो शान्ति और मेल-जोल जरूरी है. तारिक रहमान की ये बातें महत्वपूर्ण क्यों हैं क्योंकि खालिदा जिया के बेटे के बांग्लादेश आने से मोहम्मद युनूस परेशान हैं.
बांग्लादेश में 12 फरवरी को वोटिंग होनी है. पिछले साल शेख़ हसीना को देश छोड़ने पर मजबूर होना पड़ा था, वो भारत में हैं. कट्टरपंथियों के दबाव में आकर मोहम्मद युनूस ने हसीना की पार् अवामी लीग पर बैन लगा दिया. ख़ालिदा ज़िया अस्सी साल की हो गई हैं, बहुत ज्यादा बीमार हैं, बांग्लादेश में इस समय एक राजनीतिक शून्यता है. सारी जमातें सत्ता पर क़ब्ज़ा करने की कोशिश में हैं.
जमीयत-उलेमा-ए-इस्लाम और ख़ालिदा ज़िया की BNP ने गठबंधन किया है. ख़ालिदा के बेटे तारिक़ रहमान प्रधानमंत्री पद के दावेदार होंगे.
तारिक़ रहमान भले ही कट्टरपंथियों से सदभाव की अपील कर रहे हों लेकिन बांग्लादेश के अलग अलग हिस्सों में कट्टरपंथियों का हंगामा जारी है. ढाका में कट्टरपंथियों मे उस्मान हादी के हत्यारों को गिरफ़्तार करने की मांग को लेकर फिर हंगामा किया. पुलिस ने उस्मान हादी के मर्डर केस में हिमोन रहमान सिकदार नाम के एक शख़्स को गिरफ़्तार करने का दावा किया लेकिन बाद में पता ये लगा कि हिमोन सिकदार का उस्मान हादी की हत्या से कोई सीधा ताल्लुक़ नहीं है.
हिमोन उस आलमगीर शेख़ का क़रीबी है जो उस्मान हादी पर हमले के वक़्त मोटरसाइकिल चला रहा था. अवामी लीग के नेताओं ने कहा कि पुलिस सिर्फ खानापूरी कर रही है, हकीकत यही है कि हादी के क़त्ल के लिए चीफ़ एडवाइज़र मुहम्मद यूनुस ज़िम्मेदार हैं क्योंकि यूनुस ने सत्ता में आने के बाद जिन आतंकियों और अपराधियों को जेल से छोड़ा था, अब वही अपराधी युनूस के इशारे पर पूरे देश में दंगा कर रहे हैं.
बांग्लादेश में ढाका पुलिस ने अताउर रहमान नाम के आतंकवादी को गिरफ्तार किया. अताउर रहमान ही कट्टरपंथियों को बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं की हत्या करने के लिए उकसा रहा था. उसकी प्लानिंग बांग्लादेश में बड़ी संख्या में हिन्दुओं की हत्या की थी. अताउर रहमान मुफ़्ती हारुन अज़हर का चेला है और हारून अजहर के रिश्ते पाकिस्तान के लश्कर-ए-तैयबा से हैं.
बांग्लादेश में एक और हिंदू की हत्या परेशान करने वाली है. इस्लाम के नाम पर बेरहमी से हत्या करने वाले सच्चे मुसलमान नहीं हो सकते और कोई कर भी क्या सकता है?
बांग्लादेश में कट्टरपंथी हावी हैं. मोहम्मद यूनुस की सरकार उनसे मिली हुई है. 17 साल बाद ढाका लौटे तारिक रहमान ने बातें तो अच्छी की हैं, सबको साथ लेकर चलने की बात कही है लेकिन उनकी पार्टी का जमीयत-उलेमा-ए-इस्लाम के साथ गठबंधन है. BNP पहले जमात-ए-इस्लामी के साथ सरकार भी बना चुकी है.
ऐसे में तारिक़ रहमान राजनीतिक यथार्थ के सामने अपनी बातों पर कितना टिक पाएंगे.

बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं पर हो रहे अत्याचार का मुद्दा उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा में उठा. मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि समाजवादी पार्टी और कांग्रेस के लोग गाज़ा पट्टी के हालात पर तो आंसू बहाते हैं लेकिन बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं की हत्या पर चुप्पी साध लेते हैं.
योगी ने कहा कि विपक्ष के लोग गाजा के मुद्दे पर कैंडल मार्च निकालते हैं लेकिन बांग्लादेशी हिंदुओं का दर्द उन्हें दिखाई नहीं देता, ये दोहरा रवैया और तुष्टिकरण की राजनीति अब देश के लोग सहन नहीं करेंगे.
योगी ने विरोधी दलों को चुनौती दी कि वे विधानसभा में बांग्लादेश के हिन्दुओं पर हो रहे अत्याचारों के खिलाफ निंदा प्रस्ताव लाएं.
योगी ने कहा कि जब बंगलादेशी और रोहिंग्या घुसपैठियों को यहाँ से बाहर का रास्ता दिखायेंगे तो विपक्ष उनके समर्थन में आगे न आये.
योगी ने विधानसभा में जो कहा वो जमीनी स्तर पर दिख भी रहा है. पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में बांग्लादेशी घुसपाठियों के खिलाफ ऑपरेशन टॉर्च चल रहा है. पुलिस खास तौर पर उन बस्तियों में जाकर लोगों के दस्तावेज चैक कर रही हैं जिनमें दूसरे राज्यों से आए हुए लोग बड़ी संख्या में रहते हैं. लखनऊ, गाजियाबाद, वाराणसी और कानपुर में घुसपैठियों की तलाश की जा रही है. हर मंडल में एक डिटेंशन सेंटर बनाया जा रहा है जिसमें अवैध घुसपैठियों को रखा जाएगा.
अब तक वाराणसी में 500 से ज्यादा संदिग्धों की पहचान की गई है. लखनऊ और कानपुर में रात के अंधेरे में ऑपरेशन टॉर्च चलाया जा रहा है.
सबको पता है कि हमारे देश में लाखों बांग्लादेशी कई साल से गैरकानूनी तरीके से रहते आए हैं. वे देश के संसाधनों का इस्तेमाल करके भारत के नागरिकों का हक़ मारते हैं. लेकिन कभी किसी ने इसकी परवाह नहीं की. अब पहली बार निर्णायक कार्रवाई हो रही है और बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों और रोहिंग्या को वापस उनके मुल्कों में भेजा जा रहा है. इस अभियान का असर कुछ साल बाद दिखाई देगा.

उद्धव-राज गठबंधन: क्या बीएमसी जीत पाएंगे?

महाराष्ट्र में 20 साल बाद उद्धव ठाकरे और राज ठाकरे फिर साथ-साथ आ गए. उद्धव और राज ठाकरे ने मुम्बई नगर निगम BMC का चुनाव मिलकर लड़ने का एलान किया. उद्धव ठाकरे ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र का नेतृत्व कोई ठाकरे ही कर सकता है लेकिन दिल्ली में बैठे दो लोग मराठी मानुस का हक़ छीनने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, इसलिए ठाकरे परिवार सारे विवाद भुलाकर मराठियों के सम्मान की लड़ाई लड़ने के लिए साथ आया है. उद्धव ने कहा कि हम आज एक साथ आए हैं और अब कभी अलग नहीं होंगे.
परिवार की एकता दिखाने के लिए उद्धव राज ठाकरे के घर गए और उनकी मां का आशीर्वाद लिया. फिर दोनों परिवार एक साथ बाला साहब ठाकरे के स्मारक पहुंचे, उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि दी और फिर प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस करने गए.
अभी कौन कितनी सीटों पर लड़ेगा, ये नहीं बताया गया. राज ठाकरे ने कहा कि सब कुछ तय है लेकिन रणनीति के तहत सीट शेयरिंग का फॉर्मूला सार्वजनिक नहीं किया जा रहा है क्योंकि कुछ लोग उनके उम्मीदवारों को चुराने की कोशिश में लगे हैं.
राज ठाकरे ने कहा कि गठबंधन के बाद एक बात तय है कि मुम्बई का अगला मेयर मराठी होगा और वो इसी गठबंधन से होगा.
मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा कि दो भाई साथ आए हैं, ये खुशी की बात है लेकिन महाराष्ट्र की जनता जानती है कि उद्धव और राज अपने अस्तिव के लिए लड़ रहे हैं, मजबूरी में साथ आए हैं, इसलिए इससे महाराष्ट्र की राजनीति में कुछ बदलने वाला नहीं है.
फडणवीस ने कहा कि उद्धव और राज ठाकरे हिन्दुत्व और मराठी अस्मिता की बातें सिर्फ कुर्सी पाने के लिए करते हैं.
उपमुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे ने कहा कि ठाकरे भाईयों का सियासी मिलन महाराष्ट्र और मराठी मानुस के लिए नहीं है, ये लोग अपने स्वार्थ के लिए गले मिले हैं.
पता चला है कि BMC के अलावा दोनों पार्टियां ठाणे, कल्याण, डोंबिवली, मीरा भयंदर, नवी मुंबई का नगरपालिका चुनाव मिलकर लड़ सकती हैं.
ये बात सही है कि उद्धव और राज ठाकरे मजबूरी में साथ आए हैं, चुनाव जीतने के लिए इकट्ठा हुए हैं. महाराष्ट्र की राजनीति में ये कोई अचरज की बात नहीं है.
देवेंद्र फडणवीस और एकनाथ शिंदे मजबूरी में साथ आए थे, अजित पवार को भी मजबूरी में ही साथ लिया गया था. आजकल सबको लगता है कि अकेले चुनाव लड़ना मुश्किल होगा.
शिवसेना के टुकड़े होने से उद्धव ठाकरे कमजोर हुए. राज ठाकरे की पार्टी का पिछले कई चुनाव में खाता भी नहीं खुला. इसीलिए दोनों भाई मिलकर BMC चुनाव के लिए प्रयोग करने साथ आए हैं.
अगर चुनाव जीते तो मिलाप बना रहेगा, अगर हारे तो विलाप होगा.

The issue relating to brutal atrocities on Hindus by Islamic radicals in Bangladesh was discussed in Uttar Pradesh assembly on Wednesday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the opposition parties like Samajwadi and Congress for remaining silent over these atrocities.
Yogi said, “you shed tears and light candles when Gaza is attacked, but you sew up your lips when Hindus are killed in Bangladesh. You don’t feel the pain of Bangladeshi Hindus. The people of India will no more tolerate such double standards and appeasement politics.”
Yogi said, his government is carrying out statewide operation to identify Bangladeshi and Rohingya illegal settlers. He warned the opposition not to come out in support of infiltrators.
Under Operation Torch, police and local authorities are carrying out nighttime door-to-door checking of documents of persons suspected to be Rohingya infiltrators. This campaign is being carried out in Lucknow, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Varanasi and several other cities.
In Varanasi alone, more than 500 suspected infiltrators have been identified. Slums in Lucknow and Kanpur are also being checked by police to detect infiltrators.
It is a known fact that lakhs of Bangladeshis have entered India illegally and are settled in several places. They are taking advantage of welfare resources earmarked for Indian nationals. None of the major political parties paid attention to this issue in the past.
For the first time, Yogi government in UP has taken decisive action. Illegal settlers are being detected and deported. The consequences of this action will be seen in the coming years.

Uddhav, Raj Thackeray alliance : Can it win BMC polls?

After a gap of 20 years, both the estranged cousins of Thackeray family, Uddhav and Raj joined hands on Wednesday and announced an alliance to contest Brihanmumbai Corporation elections due in January.
In a show of unity, Uddhav Thackeray went to Raj’s home and the two cousins then proceeded to Balasaheb Thackeray memorial to pay their respects. They then went to a hotel to address a joint press conference.
Uddhav Thackeray said, only a Thackeray can lead Maharashtra, but two persons sitting in Delhi are trying to deprive Marathi Manus of their rights.
He said, Thackeray family has decided to let bygones be bygones and fight jointly for Maratha pride.
It is still not decided how many seats the parties led by Uddav and Raj Thackeray will contest in BMC elections. When asked, Raj Thackeray replied that the seat-sharing formula will not be revealed for strategic reasons because some parties are trying to steal our candidates.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde said, the two cousins have come together because the political existence of their parties is at stake after the recent drubbing in statewide civic body elections.
There are speculations that the alliance will also contest Thane, Kalyan, Dombivali, Mira Bhayander and Navi Mumbai civic bodies.
It is a fact that Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde joined hands because of political compulsion. Uddhav and Raj Thackeray have also come together to win elections. This is nothing surprising in Maharashtra politics.
In today’s scenario, political parties feel they cannot sweep to power by contesting alone.
Uddhav Thackeray became weak when Shiv Sena was split. Raj Thackeray’s party has been contesting elections for last several years but could not open its account. Both the cousins have now come together to carry out a new experiment in BMC polls.
If both win, it will be a win-win situation, and if they lose, the knives will again be out.

बांग्लादेश में हिंदू युवक दीपू चंद्र दास को बेरहमी से पीट-पीट कर मार डालने का मामला अब अन्तरराष्ट्रीय मुद्दा बन गया है. अमेरिकी सांसद राजा कृष्णमूर्ति और सुहास सुब्रमण्यम ने दीपू दास की बर्बरतापूर्ण हत्या की निंदा की है. उन्होंने बांग्लादेश सरकार से हिंदुओं की रक्षा के लिए फौरन कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है.
इस बात के सबूत मिले हैं कि बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं के खिलाफ लोगों को भड़काने के पीछे पाकिस्तानी खुफिया एजेंसी ISI का हाथ है. मसूद अज़हर के आतंकी संगठन जैश-ए-मोहम्मद का एक दहशतगर्द ढाका में तकरीर देते हुए दिखाई दिया. इसका वीडियो सामने आया है, लेकिन हमारे देश में कांग्रेस के कुछ नेताओं ने बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं पर हो रहे जुल्म के लिए बीजेपी और RSS को जिम्मेदार ठहरा दिया.
मंगलवार को देश भर में हिंदू संगठनों का गुस्सा सड़कों पर दिखाई दिया. बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं पर हो रही हिंसा के खिलाफ दिल्ली, कोलकाता, जम्मू, हैदराबाद और भोपाल समेत पूरे देश में ज़बरदस्त प्रोटेस्ट हुए.
दिल्ली में बांग्लादेश उच्चायोग और वीज़ा सेंटर के बाहर बड़ी तादाद में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने अपना गुस्सा जाहिर किया. उन्होंने बांग्लादेशी कठमुल्लों के ख़िलाफ़ नारेबाज़ी की और हिंदुओं को सुरक्षा देने की मांग की. उग्र विरोध प्रदर्शन की वजह से बांग्लादेश को दिल्ली में अपना वीज़ा सेंटर बंद करना पड़ा.
दूसरी तरफ बांग्लादेश में जिहादी कठमुल्लों ने लोगों को भारत के खिलाफ मुहिम छेड़ने की कसमें खिलाई.
ढाका में बांग्लादेश के विदेश मंत्रालय ने भातीय उच्चायुक्त प्रणय वर्मा को बुला कर अपने दूतावासों की सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता जताई.
भारत ने भी बांग्लादेश में अपने कूटनीतिक मिशनों की सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता जताई. विदेश मंत्रालय ने बांग्लादेश के उच्चायुक्त रियाज़ हमीदुल्लाह को तलब करके कहा कि उनकी सरकार भारत के नागरिकों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करें और अपने यहां हिंदुओं पर हो रहे ज़ुल्म को रोकें.
इधर, कांग्रेस के महासचिव दिग्विजय सिंह के बयान ने आग में घी डालने का काम किया. दिग्विजय सिंह ने कहा कि बांग्लादेश में वैसी ही कट्टरंपथी ताकतें सत्ता में आ गई हैं जैसी इस वक्त भारत में है, भारत में जो मुसलमानों के साथ हो रहा है वही बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं के साथ हो रहा है.
कांग्रेस के एक और नेता राशिद अल्वी ने कहा कि जिस तरह भारत में मुसलमानों को मारा जा रहा है, मस्जिदों पर हमले हो रहे हैं, उसी तरह बांग्लादेश में हिंदुओं पर अत्याचार हो रहा है, भारत में मौजूदा सरकार जो कर रही है बांग्लादेश के कट्टरपंथी भी वैसा ही कर रहे हैं.
दिग्विजय सिंह और राशिद अल्वी जैसे नेताओं को बांग्लादेश की पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना की बात सुननी चाहिए.
शेख़ हसीना का एक ऑडियो सामने आया है. इसमें शेख़ हसीना ने 18 दिसंबर को मैमनसिंह में दीपू चंद्र दास की हत्या की निंदा की है. शेख़ हसीना ने कहा कि दीपू दास पर झूठा इल्जाम लगाया गया, जिस तरह की दरिंदगी दीपू चंद्र दास के साथ हुई, वह कल्पना से परे है. शेख़ हसीना ने आरोप लगाया कि ऐसे दरिंदों को मौजूदा हुकूमत पाल-पोस रही है.
बांग्लादेश के हिंदुओं पर जिस तरह के जुल्म हुए हैं, उसे देखकर अगर किसी का खून नहीं खौले तो वो खून नहीं, पानी है. आजकल बांग्लादेश में हिंदू होना गुनाह है, महिलाओं को सिंदूर लगाने से डर लगता है.
मोहम्मद यूनुस के सत्ता में आने के बाद हिंदुओं के साथ जुल्म और ज्यादती में बेइंतिहा इज़ाफा हुआ है. दीपू चंद्र दास को सिर्फ इसीलिए पीट-पीटकर मार डाला क्योंकि वह हिंदू था. बांग्लादेश के पुलिस अधिकारियों ने इस बात की पुष्टि की है कि दीपू की ऐसी किसी टिप्पणी का कोई सबूत नहीं मिला जिसे धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचे.
ऐसे और भी कई मामले हैं, जो रिपोर्ट नहीं हुए. चट्टग्राम में हिंदुओं की एक पूरी बस्ती जला दी गई. लेकिन इस बेरहमी की, इस हैवानियत की भारत के मुसलमानों के साथ तुलना करना ज्यादती है. राजनीतिक दांव चलने के लिए और भी मुद्दे मिल जाएंगे पर हिंदुओं पर हो रहे अत्याचार को किसी भी कीमत पर न्यायोचित ठहराना दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है.
उधर, शेख़ हसीना के तख़्तापलट के बाद से बांग्लादेश में इस्लामिक कट्टरपंथी हावी होते जा रहे हैं. इस्लामिक कट्टरपंथी खुलेआम बांग्लादेश में शरीयत लागू करने की मांग कर रहे हैं, भारत को टारगेट कर रहे हैं.
हिंसा का ये ताज़ा दौर 18 दिसंबर को कट्टरपंथी इस्लामिक नेता शरीफ़ उस्मान हादी की हत्या के बाद से शुरू हुआ. बांग्लादेश के कट्टरपंथी उस्मान हादी की हत्या के पीछे भारत का हाथ बता रहे हैं. अब ढाका, चट्टग्राम, राजशाही और मैमनसिंह जैसे तमाम शहरों में खुलेआम भारत के ख़िलाफ़ मुहिम छेड़ने की क़समें खाई जा रही हैं.
ढाका में उस्मान हादी के प्रतिबंधित संगठन इंक़लाब मंच ने अपने हज़ारों समर्थकों को भारत के ख़िलाफ़ शपथ दिलाई.
उस्मान हादी की हत्या के नाम पर बांग्लादेश में खुलेआम भारत विरोधी भावनाएं भड़काई जा रही हैं लेकिन सच्चाई ये है कि उस्मान हादी की हत्या का आरोपी फ़ैसल करीम मसूद इस वक़्त कहां है ख़ुद बांग्लादेश की पुलिस को भी नहीं पता.
फ़ैसल करीम मसूद ने ही उस्मान हादी को ढाका में गोली मारी थी. उसके साथ आलमगीर शेख़ नाम का शख़्स भी था. दोनों हत्या के बाद से ही फ़रार हैं.
बांग्लादेश के मीडिया का कहना है कि फ़ैसल करीम मसूद और आलमगीर शेख़ दोनों ही युवा नेता हैं और वो उस्मान हादी के साथ रहा करते थे. मुहम्मद यूनुस की सरकार ने उस्मान हादी की पार्टी इंक़िलाब मंच पर बैन लगा दिया था, इसके बावजूद उस्मान हादी ने ढाका से चुनाव लड़ने का एलान किया था. लोगों का कहना है कि इसी वजह से मुहम्मद यूनुस ने उस्मान हादी को रास्ते से हटवा दिया.
बांग्लादेश का नेशनल अवार्ड जीतने वाली अभिनेत्री रुक़ैया प्राची ने बताया कि मुहम्मद यूनुस ने पिछले साल शेख़ हसीना के तख़्तापलट के बाद हज़ारों इस्लामिक कट्टरपंथियों को जेल से रिहा किया था. अब ये उग्रवादी ही यूनुस के इशारे पर लोगों को टारगेट कर रहे हैं. यूनुस ने कट्टरपंथी इस्लामिक आतंकवादियों को खुली छूट दे रखी है.
बांग्लादेश में कट्टरपंथी ताक़तों के हावी होने के साथ ही पाकिस्तान की ख़ुफ़िया एजेंसी ISI भी सक्रिय हो गई है. पिछले एक साल से बांग्लादेश में ISI के अधिकारियों की आवाजाही बढ़ी है.
बांग्लादेश में तैनात ISI के एजेंट भारत में अस्थिरता पैदा करने की साज़िश रच रहे हैं. ISI के अधिकारी ढाका में बैठकर भारत में कट्टरपंथियों की घुसपैठ कराने की प्लानिंग कर रहे हैं. इसके लिए ग़रीबों को पैसे देकर जिहाद के लिए तैयार किया जा रहा है.
पाकिस्तान के पाले हुए जिहादी बांग्लादेश में भड़काऊ तक़रीरें कर रहे हैं. पाकिस्तान के दहशतगर्द संगठन बांग्लादेश के कट्टरपंथी संगठनों से हाथ मिला रहे हैं.
मसूद अज़हर ने हाल ही में अपने एक जिहादी मज़हर सईद शाह को ढाका भेजा था जहां उसने बांग्लादेश के कट्टरपंथी संगठनों जमात-उल-मुजाहिद्दीन बांग्लादेश, अंसार-उल्लाह-बांग्ला टीम और हिज्ब उत तहरीर को एक साथ आकर जिहाद करने के लिए कहा.
मज़हर सईद ने ढाका में खुलेआम लोगों को भारत के खिलाफ भड़काने वाली तक़रीर की और इस्लाम के नाम पर इकट्ठे होने की अपील की.
बांग्लादेश में कट्टरपंथी आज भी शेख हसीना से लोगों की नाराज़गी का फायदा उठा रहे हैं. पहले भी एक साजिश के तहत नौजवानों को भड़काया गया और मोहम्मद यूनुस ने इसका पूरा फ़ायदा उठाया.
अब बांग्लादेश में अराजकता है और पाकिस्तान को इसमें अवसर दिखाई दे रहा है. ISI ने जैश-ए-मोहम्मद को काम पर लगा दिया है. उसके आतंकवादी बांग्लादेश के लोगों को भारत के खिलाफ भड़काने में लगे हुए हैं.
शायद वो भूल गए कि 1971 में भारत की बहादुर सेना ने उनकी कितनी पिटाई की थी. शायद उन्हें याद नहीं कि पाकिस्तान की 93 हजार की फौज ने भारत के सामने सरेंडर किया था. अब अगर पाकिस्तान ने फिर हिमाकत की तो एक बार फिर करारा जवाब मिलेगा.

The brutal lynching of a Hindu, Dipu Chandra Das, by jihadis in Bangladesh is snowballing into an international issue.
American Congressmen of Indian origin Raja Krishnamoorthi and Suhas Subramanyam have condemned the brutal killing of Dipu Chandra Das by a radical mob and have demanded Bangladesh authorities to provide protection to Hindus.
On Monday, Hindu outfits staged protests across India condemning the atrocities on Hindus by jihadis in Bangladesh.
Protests were held in New Delhi, Kolkata, Bhopal, Varanasi, Hyderabad and Jammu. There were clashes between protesters and police outside the Bangladesh missions in Delhi and Kolkata.
In Bangladesh, Inquilab Mancha and other jihadi outfits held rallies asking people to take vow to target India.
In Dhaka, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma was summoned to the Foreign Ministry and was asked to ensure protection to Bangladeshi diplomatic missions in India.
In Delhi, Bangladesh High Commissioner Riyaz Hamidullah was summoned to the External Affairs Ministry and told to ensure protection to Indians and other minorities including Hindus in his country.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders Digivijaya Singh and Rashid Alvi made controversial remarks alleging that fundamentalists in Bangladesh are doing the same thing that Hindu fundamentalists are doing in India. Rashid Alvi alleged, Muslims are being killed and mosques are being attacked in India.
Congress leaders must watch the video released by former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, presently in self-exile in India.
In the video, Sheikh Hasina has alleged that the present government in Bangladesh is patronizing jihadi fundamentalists who are indulging in murder and arson. Sheikh Hasina condemned the brutal murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh on December 18.
Any Indian’s blood will boil if he or she watches the video of atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindus are not only feeling unsafe, but it has come to a situation where to be a Hindu in Bangladesh has become a sin.
Hindu women fear wearing ‘sindoor’ on their forehead in Bangladesh. Such atrocities on Hindus have increased after chief adviser Muhammad Yunus came to power.
Dipu Chandra Das, a factory worker, was lynched only because he was a Hindu. Bangladesh police officials have confirmed that there is no evidence to show that Dipu made any blasphemous remark that could have hurt religious sentiments.
There are several such cases of atrocities on Hindus and Buddhists in Bangladesh, which have not been reported in media. In Chattogram this week, an entire Hindu bazaar was sent on fire.
To compare the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh with Muslims in India is unfair. Politicians in India are free to raise other issues to settle their political scores, but to justify atrocities on Hindus is unfortunate.
Fundamentalist forces are on the rise since the July uprising last year that unseated the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Jihadis are openly demanding imposition of Shariah in Bangladesh and India is being targeted.
The latest round of violence took place after the murder of an Islamic radical leader Sharif Usman Hadi on December 18. Islamic radicals blame India’s hand behind this murder.
People in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi and Mymensingh are being assembled and asked to take vows to target India.
Anti-Indian sentiment is on the rise in Bangladesh, but the ground reality is that nobody knows where Faisal Karim Masood, alleged murderer of Usman Hadi, is presently hiding.

Islamic radicals in Bangladesh are taking full advantage of people’s anger against Sheikh Hasina. Earlier, youths were instigated and Muhammad Yunus took advantage by taking over power.
Bangladesh today is on the brink of anarchy and Pakistan finds an opportunity in this situation. Pakistani terrorists are now inciting people of Bangladesh against India.
Probably, Pakistan has forgotten the 1971 war when India’s valiant army dismembered that country and nearly 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the Indian army.
If Pakistan tries to carry out any fresh misadventure, it will get a crushing response.
