चीन ने सीधे-सीधे अमेरिका को चुनौती दी. अमेरिका को अपनी कूटनीतिक, आर्थिक और सैन्य ताकत दिखाई. चीन की राजधानी में हुई सैन्य दिवस परेड में इंटरकॉन्टिनेंटल बैलिस्टिक न्यूक्लियर मिसाइल से लेकर स्टील्थ फाइटर जैट तक का प्रदर्शन हुआ. शी जिनपिंग के लिए रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादीमीर पुतिन और उत्तीर कोरिया के तानाशाह किम जोंग उन ने तालियां बजाईं.
शक्ति प्रदर्शन के मौके पर 26 देशों के राष्ट्रध्यक्ष मौजूद थे. बीजिंग में बहुत सारी इंटरेस्टिंग तस्वीरें दिखाई दीं. पुतिन किम जोंग को अपनी कार में साथ बिठाकर ले गए. बीजिंग की इन तस्वीरों को अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने ध्यान से देखा. ट्रंप किसी भी फ्रेम में कहीं नहीं थे. ट्रंप ने शिकायत की कि इस मौके पर चीन ने अमेरिका को याद नहीं किया.
ट्रंप ने याद दिलाया कि अमेरिका ने द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के समय चीन को गुलाम बनने से बचाया, अपने हजारों सनिकों की कुर्बानी दी, तो भी शी जिनपिंग ने उन्हें परेड में आंत्रित नहीं किया.
पुतिन के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की लंबी गुफ्तगू भी ट्रंप की परेशानी का कारण है. जिस कार में पुतिन ने मोदी से बात की थी, उसी गाड़ी में किम जोंग उन के साथ बैठकर उन्होंने लंबी बात की.
ट्रंप ने साफ कह दिया कि शी जिनपिंग, पुतिन और किम जोंग मिलकर अमेरिका के खिलाफ साजिश कर रहे हैं. ट्रंप ने बीजिंग में हुई मिलिट्री परेड के एक-एक विजुअल को ध्यान से देखा. कौन कहां बैठा था? किसने किससे हाथ मिलाया? पुतिन ने किस किस से बात की? चीन ने कौन कौन से हथियारों की नुमाइश की? ट्रंप ने एक एक बात नोट की. इसके बाद ट्रंप से रिपोर्टर्स ने पूछा कि क्या चीन की मिलिट्री परेड देखकर उनकी टेंशन बढ़ी है, तो ट्रंप ने कहा कि बिल्कुल नहीं. ट्रंप ने दावा किया कि आज चीन को अमेरिका की ज़रूरत ज़्यादा है, अमेरिका बहुत शक्तिशाली है. ट्रंप ने कहा कि अमेरिका के बिना दुनिया नहीं चल सकती.
चीन हर साल 3 सितंबर को दूसरे विश्व युद्ध में जापान पर हुई जीत का जश्न मनाता है. वैसे तो चीन हर दस साल बाद विक्ट्री डे पर मिलिट्री परेड का आयोजन करता है लेकिन इस वक्त दुनियाभर में ट्रंप के टैरिफ की चर्चा है. ट्रंप ने ट्रेड वॉर छेड़ दिया है, इसलिए दुनिया भर के लोगों ने इस परेड को ध्यान से देखा.
जिनपिंग ने अपने भाषण में अमेरिका को सीधी चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि दुनिया का कोई भी देश चीन को कमज़ोर समझने की ग़लती न करे, चीन न किसी से डरा है, न किसी के सामने झुका है, चीन ने दुश्मनों को हमेशा मुंहतोड़ जवाब दिया है.
इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि अमेरिका दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी सैन्य ताकत है, सबसे ताकतवर अर्थव्यवस्था है, लेकिन ट्रंप को ये सब जताने की क्या जरूरत ? ये तो सब जानते हैं, अमेरिका के experts भी ट्रंप के इस तरह के दावों से परेशान हैं.
ट्रंप ने कूटनीतिक शिष्टाचार को बहुत पीछे छोड़ दिया है. अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति का ये कहना कि शी जिनपिंग, पुतिन और किम जोंग उनके खिलाफ साजिश करने के लिए मिले, उन्हें शोभा नहीं देता.
अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति को ये कहने की क्या जरूरत थी कि अमेरिका के बिना दुनिया नहीं चलेगी ? दुनिया तो भगवान के भरोसे चलती है लेकिन ऐसा दावा करने वाले ट्रंप अकेले नहीं हैं. नॉर्थ कोरिया के तानाशाह किम जोंग उन भी अपने आप को महाशक्ति मानते हैं.

पुतिन, किम अपनी सुरक्षा का इतना ध्यान क्यों रखते हैं ?

आज सबसे ज़्यादा चर्चा किम जोंग उन की हुई. किम जोंग उन हमेशा की तरह अपनी स्पेशल ट्रेन Sunshine से बीजिंग पहुंचे. किम जोंग उन के साथ उनकी छोटी बेटी किम जू आए भी विक्ट्री परेड देखने बीजिंग पहुंची थी. नॉर्थ कोरिया के तानाशाह किम जोंग उन अपने पिता और दादा की तरह, जहां भी जाते हैं, अपनी ख़ास बख्तरबंद रेलगाड़ी में जाते हैं.
20 डिब्बों वाली ये ट्रेन एंटी टैंक गाइडेड मिसाइल, जमीन से आसमान तक मार करने वाली मिसाइल और मशीनगन से लैस है. किसी हमले से सुरक्षा के लिए इसमें टैंक के गोलों को बर्दाश्त कर सकने वाली बख़्तरबंद plates लगी हैं. इसके शीशे भी बुलेटप्रूफ हैं. भारी होने की वजह से ट्रेन की रफ्तार भी धीमी है. ये 60 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से ही चलती है.
किम जोंग उन जहां भी जाते हैं, वहां अपनी पर्सनल कारों का ही इस्तेमाल करते हैं. उनके साथ ट्रेन में उनकी बड़ी बड़ी कारें भी लाई जाती हैं. किम जोंग उन की इस स्पेशल ट्रेन के दो डिब्बे ख़ास तौर से गाइडेड मिसाइलों के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं. एक carriage किम जोंग के ऑफ़िस का काम करता है. वहीं, कुछ डिब्बों में किम जोंग उनके सुरक्षा और मेडिकल स्टाफ होते हैं.
वैसे तो किम जोंग उन नॉर्थ कोरिया से बाहर बहुत कम निकलते हैं. 2018 में वो अपने पहले विदेश दौरे पर चीन गए थे, तब भी उन्होंने ट्रेन से ही बीजिंग तक का सफ़र किया था जिसमें 24 घंटे से ज़्यादा का समय लगा था. दो साल पहले किम जोंग उन जब रूस के दौरे पर गए थे, तब भी उन्होंने प्योंगयांग से मॉस्को तक का सफ़र ट्रेन से ही तय किया था.
किम जोंग उन की छोटी बेटी किम जू आए इन दिनों अक्सर अपने पिता के साथ पब्लिक प्रोग्राम्स में देखी जा रही हैं. एक्सपर्ट्स का मानना है कि किम जोंग उन अपनी छोटी बेटी को उत्तराधिकारी के तौर पर groom कर रहे हैं.
किम जोंग उन और पुतिन की मीटिंग के बाद एक अजीब तस्वीर देखने को मिली. किम के स्टाफ ने मीटिंग में इस्तेमाल की गई मेज़
कुर्सी और किम के ग्लास को साफ़ किया. किसी भी तरह के प्रिंट को मिटा दिया. ये तस्वीरें देखकर ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे किसी क्राइम सीन से सबूत मिटाए जा रहे हों. उसी तरह किम के किसी भी biological trace को मिटा दिया गया ताकि किम की सेहत से जुड़ी कोई सूचना लीक न हो.
पुतिन ने किम जोंग को अपनी कार में बिठाकर बात क्यों की ? जानकारों का कहना है कि पुतिन को गोपनीय बातें करने के लिए अपनी कार सुरक्षित लगती है. चीन में कोई भी जगह bug हो सकती है पर पुतिन की कार में कोई tapping नहीं हो सकती.
दूसरी रोचक बात ये कि किम जोंग ने जिस toilet का इस्तेमाल किया या जिस जगह वो बैठे, उन सब जगहों से उनके finger prints और तमाम निशान मिटा दिए गए. किसी तरह के biological trace को नहीं छोड़ा गया.
ठीक यही काम पुतिन के staff ने किया था जब वो ट्रंप से मिलने Alaska गए थे. आज के जमाने में ये माना जाता है कि किसी भी नेता की मौजूदगी के तमाम निशानों का वैज्ञैनिक और तकनीकी विश्लेषण किया जा सकता है. किसी भी नेता की सेहत संबंधी सूचनाएं निकाली जा सकती है. इसीलिए ऐसे सारे सबूतों को नष्ट कर दिया जाता है और इस काम में एक्सपर्ट्स का इस्तेमाल होता है.

बाढ़ की विभीषिका : खाद्यान्न संकट के लिए तैयार रहें

जम्मू कश्मीर, पंजाब, हरियाणा, दिल्ली, उत्तराखंड और उत्तर प्रदेश में भारी बारिश के कारण लाखों एकड़ ज़मीन पर फसलें बर्बाद हो गई है. केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने गुरुवार को पंजाब के गुरदासपुर और अन्य इलाकों में बाढग्रस्त गांवों का दौरा किया, किसानों से बात की और फसलों को हुए नुकसान का जायज़ा लिया.
दिल्ली में यमुना नदी खतरे कि निशान से काफी ऊपर बह रही है. यमुना नदी के आसपास बसे बहुत से इलाकों में पानी भर गया है. यमुना का पानी रिंगरोड तक आ गया है. निगम बोध घाट पर शवों का अन्तिम संस्कार बंद कर दिया गया है. दस हजार से ज्यादा लोगों को राहत शिवारों में भेजा गया है.
दिल्ली शहर का पानी यमुना नदी में निकलने के बजाए बैकफ्लो कर रहा है. इसका असर ये हुआ रिंग रोड और मॉनेस्ट्री मार्केट में पानी भर गया.
यमुना बाजार इलाके में हजारों परिवार के घरों में पानी भर गया है. कई मकानों की तो सिर्फ छत ही नजर आ रही है.
दिल्ली से यमुना का पानी मथुरा वृंदावन तक पहुंच गया है. वृंदावन में यमुना का पानी बांके बिहारी मंदिर से सिर्फ छह सौ मीटर दूर है. परिक्रमा मार्ग पूरी तरह डूब चुका है. प्रशासन ने परिक्रमा को बंद करवा दिया है. कई आश्रमों के अंदर पानी पहुंच गया है. पन्द्रह सौ लोगों को राहत शिविरों में पहुंचाया गया है.
आगरा में ताजमहल के आसपास का इलाका भी जलमग्न है. यमुना का पानी ताजमहल की बाहरी दीवारों को छू रहा है.
सबसे बुरा हाल पंजाब का है. पंजाब में 1988 के बाद पहली बार इतने भयंकर हालात बने हैं. सतलुज, ब्यास और रावी नदियों में आई बाढ़ ने सब कुछ तबाह कर दिया है. पंजाब के सभी 23 जिले बाढ़ से प्रभावित हैं लेकिन गुरदासपुर, फजिल्का, होशियारपुर, कपूरथला, जालंधर, संगरूर, मोगा, बरनाला, अमृतसर और पटियाला में हालात ज्यादा खराब हैं.
पंजाब में अब तक बाढ़ से 37 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. करीब 1400 गांव में पानी डूबे हैं. 3 लाख एकड़ खेतों में लगी खड़ी फसल तबाह हो गई है.
इस बार मॉनसून ने सारे रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिए हैं. दिल्ली में अगस्त और सिंतबर के महीने में इतनी बारिश कभी नहीं हुई. पंजाब, हिमाचल और जम्मू कश्मीर में तो बारिश ने सौ साल का रिकॉर्ड टूट गया. गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र और मध्य प्रदेश के कुछ इलाकों में तो एक दिन में इतनी बारिश हुई जितनी मॉनसून के पूरे सीजन में होती थी. फिलहाल सभी राज्य सरकारों के साथ मिलकर केन्द्र सरकार बाढ़ प्रभावित लोगों की मदद करने की कोशिश कर रही है लेकिन मॉनसून सीजन खत्म होने के बाद एक नई दिक्कत पेश आएगी.
ज्यादा बारिश के कारण लाखों हैक्टेयर में खड़ी फसलें बर्बाद हो गई हैं. इससे कृषि पैदावार घटेगी. इसके लिए सरकार को अभी से तैयारी करनी चाहिए.

By displaying its diplomatic, economic and military might, China has directly challenged the United States. With Chinese President Xi Jinping leading the military parade, and 26 world leaders, including Vladimir Putin and Kin Jong-un, watching, the Chinese army displayed its intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads, hypersonic missiles, underwater drones and stealth fighter jets at the Military Day celebrations.
US President Donald Trump wrote on social media: “The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and “blood” that the United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader. Many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory…. May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America.”
Addressing the parade, Xi Jinping said, China is a great nation that “is never intimidated by any bullies” in an apparent veiled reference to the US, and warned that China is “unstoppable”.
Speaking to media, Donald Trump said, “ … China needs us much more than we need them….We have the strongest military in the world, by far..They would never use their military on us — believe me, that would be the worst thing they could ever do.”
Trump said, he did not see China as a danger, “not at all… America is a big and powerful nation..We are better off economically, and we are now getting money because of tariff. I ended seven wars through dialogue.”
There is no doubt that the US is the world’s biggest military power and a strong economy, but what was the need for Trump to say all this?
Even US experts are worried over the lofty claims being made by Trump. The US President has left diplomatic niceties far behind. He has openly said that Xi Jinping, Putin and Kim Jong Un are “conspiring” against the US.
Such a remark does not behove the US President. What was the need to say that the world cannot run without America? Trump is not alone in making such claims. The North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un also considers his country as a superpower.

Security, Secrets and Concerns of Putin

North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un was the talk of the town at the Chinese military parade. He arrived in his special armoured train ‘Sunshine’ to Beijing railway station. He brought his daughter Kim Ju Ae to watch the parade. The special train with 20 coaches is equipped with anti-tank guided missile, surface-to-air missile and machine guns. The train is protected with armoured plates which can withstand tank shells. It chugged into the station at a speed of 60 km per hour.
Political pundits speculate that Kim is grooming his daughter as his successor, in line with the Kim dynasty. Russian President Vladimir Putin took Kim in his special Aurus car to the bilateral talks venue. He thanked Kim for providing Korean soldiers to fight for Russia in the Ukraine war. Kim’s staff polished all glasses, tables and chairs after the meeting to remove all traces of their leader as a security measure.
It was the second time in two days that Putin invited a foreign leader to sit with him in his car, to avoid his conversation being bugged. On Monday, he had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sit in his car, and on Tuesday, it was Kim Jong-un’s turn to sit in the car. Both the leaders spoke for more than 50 minutes.
Another interesting point: Kim’s staff removed all biological traces from the washroom and toiler that the leader used in Beijing. Putin’s staff did the same when he met Donald Trump in Alaska.
In today’s technological age, presence of physical traces of any leader can be fully analysed to derive health related information. All such traces and evidences are therefore removed after the leader leaves the place.

Floods : Be ready to tackle foodgrain crisis

Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and now Delhi have been ravaged by flood, cloudbursts and landslides causing death and devastation. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited flooded areas of Punjab and met farmers who showed him samples of damaged crops in Gurdaspur. Most of the rivers are in spate and the Yamuna is still flowing above danger level in Delhi. Delhi’s Wazirabad bridge has been closed to traffic.
The Yamuna, in spate, has inundated large areas in Haryana and Mathura in UP. The Yamuna was flowing hardly 600 metres away from the famous Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan. The entire Parikrama route has been inundated. Flood water has entered most of the ashrams on the bank of Yamuna. Nearly 1,500 people have been shifted to relief camps. Areas near the Taj Mahal in Agra have also been inundated. Flood water has touched the boundary wall of Taj Mahal.
Punjab has been badly ravaged by flood. For the first time since 1988, all the 23 districts of Punjab have been affected by flood in Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers. The situation has worsened in Gurdaspur, Fazilka, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Moga, Barnala, Amritsar and Patiala. Standing crops on roughly 3 lakh acres have been damaged. 324 villages in Gurdaspur and 135 villages in Amritsar are now under water. NDRF, SDRF, army, BSF and Sikh organisations are working round-the-clock in rescue and relief work.
This year’s monsoon has broken all records. Never in the past had Delhi witnessed huge rainfall in the months of August and September. Rains have broken nine-year-old records in Punjab, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have witnessed one day’s rains equivalent to rainfall recorded during the entire season in past years.
The Centre is trying to provide all possible assistance to the affected states. After the monsoon season is over, one major crisis will be staring in the face.
Foodgrains production may witness a steep decline due to huge loss of crops over several lakh hectares. The government should be ready and must make all preparations to face such an eventuality.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के दिल का दर्द, मन की पीड़ा, जुबान पर आ ही गई. मोदी ने कहा कि बिहार में जिस तरह RJD कांग्रेस के मंच से उनकी दिवंगत मां को गाली दी गई, वो उनके दिल में तीर की तरह चुभी है.
मोदी ने कहा कि कांग्रेस के नेताओं को ये बात पच ही नहीं रही है कि एक गरीब पिछड़े वर्ग की मां के बेटे को देश की करोड़ों मांओं ने आशीर्वाद दिया, मां भारती की सेवा का बार-बार अवसर दिया, इसलिए मुंह में चांदी की चम्मच लेकर पैदा हुए शहजादे उनकी मां को गाली दे रहे हैं.
मोदी ने कहा कि हमारे देश में मां साक्षात् देवी है, मां पूज्य है, इसीलिए मां को गाली देकर कांग्रेस और RJD ने जो महापाप किया है, उसे देश माफ नहीं करेगा, अब ये बिहार के हर नौजवान की जिम्मेदारी है कि कांग्रेस और RJD के नामदारों को गलती का एहसास कराएं, हर मां, बहन, बेटी से माफी मांगने के लिए मजबूर करें.
मोदी ने कहा कि बिहार की मां, बहन, बेटियां हर गली, हर चौराहे पर. जहां कांग्रेस और RJD के नेता मिलें, उन्हें वहीं पकड़ें और नारी शक्ति का एहसास कराएं. मोदी की इस भावुक अपील के बाद बिहार में जगह जगह प्रोटेस्ट शुरू हो गए. NDA ने 4 सितंबर को 5 घंटे के लिए बिहार बंद का ऐलान किया है.
मां को गाली दिए जाने पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का दर्द छलकना स्वाभाविक है. कोई भी बेटा अपनी मां के लिए गाली सुनकर आहत होगा. उनकी मां का तो तीन साल पहले देहांत हो चुका है. वो कभी राजनीति में नहीं रहीं. उन्होंने किसी का कुछ नहीं बिगाड़ा. क्या उनको सिर्फ इसीलिए गाली दी गई क्योंकि उनका बेटा देश का प्रधानमंत्री है?
जिस दिन कांग्रेस और RJD के मंच से मोदी का नाम लेकर मां की गाली दी गई थी, उसी दिन राहुल और तेजस्वी उसकी निंदा कर देते तो उनका क्या बिगड़ जाता?
उसके बाद भी कई दिन तक उनकी यात्रा जारी रही. अगर वो दुख भी प्रकट कर देते तो शायद ये इतना बड़ा मुद्दा न बनता. पर शायद दोनों नेताओं का अहं बहुत बड़ा है.
पहले कांग्रेस के एक नेता ने इसे बीजेपी की साजिश बताया. फिर दूसरे ने इसे एक मामूली कार्यकर्ता का काम बताया. फिर बाकी नेता गिनाने लगे कि बीजेपी के किस-किस नेता ने क्या-क्या गाली दी.
राजनीति में गाली गलौज के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं है. उसकी निंदा की जानी चाहिए. लेकिन पहले क्या हुआ इससे कांग्रेस के मंच से मां को गाली देने का लाइसेंस तो नहीं दिया जा सकता.
भारत के लोग गाली गलौज की भाषा को कभी स्वीकार नहीं करते. इसीलिए राजनीतिक तौर पर तेजस्वी को नुकसान होगा. उन्हें एक दिवंगत मां के अपमान की कीमत चुकानी पड़ेगी.
गुरुग्राम के लोगों की आवाज़ को कौन सुनेगा ?

इस समय पंजाब के अलावा हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, उत्तर प्रदेश, हरियाणा और जम्मू कश्मीर के कई इलाकों में भारी बारिश से हालात खराब हैं. हिमाचल प्रदेश में बाढ़ और भूस्खलन की बजह से 300 से ज़्यादा लोगों की जान जा चुकी है.
दिल्ली में यमुना नदीं खतरे के निशान के ऊपर बह रही है और बहुत से निचले इलाकों में बाढ का पानी भर गया है. दिल्ली में पुराने लोहा रेलवे पुल को बंद कर दिया गया है.
बारिश की वजह से साइबर सिटी गुरुग्राम का पिछले तीन दिनों में जो हाल हुआ, उसकी तस्वीरें आईं डराने वाली है. मिलेनियम सिटी के नाम से मशहूर गुरुग्राम के ज्यादातर पॉश इलाके पानी में डूब गए. हर जगह पानी भरा, हर जगह जाम लगा.
गुरुग्राम के राजीव चौक, हीरो होंडा चौक, इफको चौक, और खिड़की दौला टोल प्लाज़ा की सड़कों पर तो कई फीट पानी भरा रहा. इसके अलावा, गुरुग्राम के सदर, नरसिंहपुर, शीतला माता मंदिर रोड, अग्रसेन चौक, सेक्टर 15, मेहरौली रोड, ओल्ड दिल्ली रोड और द्वारका रोड जैसी सड़कों पर तो इतना पानी था कि लोगों का निकलना मुश्किल हो गया. लगातार बारिश की वजह से राजीव चौक और बजघेरा अंडरपास जैसे major routes पर ट्रैफिक थम गया.
दिल्ली से गुरुग्राम जाने वाली और गुरुग्राम से दिल्ली और जयपुर आने वाली सड़कों पर आठ किलोमीटर का ट्रैफिक जाम लगा रहा. जो लोग शाम को दफ्तर से निकले, वो आधी रात के बाद घर पहुंचे. जो दूरी 20 मिनट में तय हो जाती थी, उसे तय करने में चार- पांच घंटे लग गए.
गुरुग्राम में जल-भराव और जाम के बाद लोगों ने सोशल मीडिया पर अपनी भड़ास निकाली. कहा कि सरकार के ख़ज़ाने में हज़ारों करोड़ देने वाला गुरुग्राम अनाथ है. यहां नगर प्रशासन की सारी व्यवस्था फेल हो गई है. गुरुग्राम में करोड़ों के फ्लैट ख़रीदने वाले कीड़े-मकोड़ों वाली ज़िंदगी बसर करने को मजबूर हैं.
आखिर गुरुग्राम के लोगों का कसूर क्या है? उन्होंने किसी का क्या बिगाड़ा है कि उन्हें दो-दो घंटे जाम में खड़े रहना पड़ता है?
क्या उनका गुनाह ये है कि गुरुग्राम में रहने वाले और काम करने वाले हर साल एक लाख करोड़ रुपये का tax देते हैं?
क्या उनका कसूर ये है कि हरियाणा का 45% GST सिर्फ गुरुग्राम से वसूल होता है? इस GST की वजह से हरियाणा का GST collection पंजाब के मुकाबले पांच गुना है.
क्या गुरुग्राम के लोगों का कसूर ये है कि वो excise के नाम पर हरियाणा को 27% राजस्व देते हैं? गुरुग्राम में रहने वाले लोग road tax देते हैं, toll देते हैं और इन सारे Taxes के बदले हर साल गुरुग्राम की सड़कें नदी और नालों में तब्दील हो जाती हैं. 50-50 करोड़ के flats में रहने वालों का घर से बाहर निकलना बंद हो जाता है.
गुरुग्राम में बहुत सारी Multinational Companies हैं जिनमें काम करने वाले दुनिया के बड़े बड़े शहरों से आते हैं. बात दूर तलक जाती है और पूरी दुनिया में गुरुग्राम का नाम खराब होता है. और ये कोई एक बार की बात नहीं है. हर साल की यही कहानी है.
इसको कौन ठीक करेगा? गुरुग्राम के लोगों की सुध कौन लेगा? इसका जवाब देने वाला भी कोई नहीं है.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a speech filled with tears and emotion, said on Tuesday that his mother was abused during the Congress-RJD rally in Bihar and this act has insulted every mother and sister of the country.
Addressing nearly 20 lakh women through video conferencing while launching the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh, Modi reminisced about his late mother Hiraben.
Modi said in an emotional voice: “My mother used to work even when she was sick. She saved every paisa to buy clothes for us. There are crores of such hardworking mothers. In India, a mother is placed on a pedestal higher than that of a goddess… The abuses that were hurled at my mother from a Congress-RJD stage was not just for her, but for crores of mothers and sisters. Princes born in rich families with a golden or silver spoon in their mouth, will never understand the sufferings of a poor mother and her son’s struggles. …I want to tell the people of Bihar, Modi may forgive this insult, but the land of Bihar and India will never tolerate such an insult to a mother”.
Soon after the PM’s speech, protests were held in different parts of the country and the NDA gave a call for Bihar Bandh on November 4.
The emotional touch with which Modi spoke displayed the immense hurt that was caused to him by Congress workers who shouted filthy abuse in Darbhanga. Congress and RJD leaders in Bihar are now on the defensive.
The hurt caused to Narendra Modi is understandable. Any son will feel hurt if he hears people abusing one’s mother. Modi’s mother Hiraben passed away three years ago. She was never in politics. She did not hurt anybody. Was she abused only because her son is the Prime Minister?
Had Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav condemned this act by their supporters on that very day itself, heavens would not have fallen. They continued with their yatra. Had they expressed regret, it wouldn’t have snowballed into a big issue.
Probably the two leaders have large-sized egos. Soon after the incident, a Congress leader described it as a conspiracy, another leader said it was the work of an ordinary party worker. Soon after, other leaders indulged in whataboutery listing out the times when who abused whom.
In politics, there is no place for filthy abuses. It must be condemned. To indulge in whataboutery by alleging who had abused whom in the past, Congress leaders cannot say they have got the licence to abuse. The people of India do not approve filthy language. Politically, Tejashwi Yadav may have to face loss because of this. He will have to pay the price for insulting a departed mother.

Who will hear the cries of Gurugram ?

Flood situation has worsened in Punjab after heavy discharge of water from Bhakra and Pong dams, with the state government declaring flood as a state calamity. Flood in Punjab has claimed 30 lives and had caused distress to over 3.5 lakh people.
In Haryana, Yamuna, Ghagghar and other rivers are in spate and several hundred villages have been inundated. Crops on several lakh hectares of land have been damaged.
The Millenium City of Gurugram faced waterlogging in most parts of the city after incessant rains for the past three days. Long traffic jams were witnessed on Monday and Tuesday because of waterlogged roads at Rajiv Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Iffco Chowk and Khirki Daula toll plaza.
Thousands of people living in posh multi-storeyed apartments and gated enclaves have remained locked inside their homes. They are unable to move out. Employees working in top multinational companies have been asked to work from home.
Techies vent out their anger through memes and stinging remarks on social media saying the city that contributes millions of crores as revenue to the government is now at a standstill. Local governance has almost completely failed. People who bought posh apartments for several crores of rupees are being forced to live the life of an insect.
What is the fault of the residents of Gurugram? Why do they have to wait in several kilometer long traffic jams for hours because of waterlogging?
Is it their fault that they contribute more than Rs 1 lakh crore as tax to the exchequer? Is it their fault that Haryana collects 45 pc of its GST from Gurugram alone, and Haryana’s GST collection is almost five times that of Punjab?
Is it the fault of Gurugram residents that they contribute 27 pc of Haryana’s revenue as excise? Residents of Gurugram pay crores in road tax, toll fee and all other taxes and yet their roads become rivers when its rains continuously. Those living in apartments worth Rs 50 crore are unable to move out of their homes.
Gurugram is the home for several top multinational companies where people from big cities of the world come and work. What is the message that is being sought to be conveyed to the rest of the world?
Who is bringing a bad name to Gurugram? Such waterlogging and traffic snarls have not taken place once. It has become an annual feature.
Who will change this situation? Who will take care of the residents of Gurugram? There are no answers to these questions.

भारत, रूस और चीन समेत SCO के सभी देशों ने एक सुर में कहा कि अब दुनिया में किसी की दादागिरी नहीं चलेगी. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी, राष्ट्रपति पुतिन और राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग ने कहा कि दुनिया आपसी सहयोग से ही चलेगी लेकिन अगर कोई विश्व व्यवस्था को बिगाड़ने की कोशिश करेगा, बिजनेस चेन को तोड़ कर धौंसपट्टी जमाएगा, तो इसे बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा.
किसी ने अमेरिका का नाम नहीं लिया. ट्रंप के टैरिफ का जिक्र नहीं किया लेकिन जाहिर है, सबका इशारा अमेरिका और ट्रंप के टैरिफ की तरफ ही था. SCO शिखर बैठक में पुतिन और शी जिंगपिंग के साथ प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की जो केमिस्ट्री दिखी, उसकी चर्चा पूरी दुनिया में हो रही है.
रूस के विदेश मंत्रालय ने तीनों नेताओं की तस्वीरें शेयर करते हुए लिखा “picture of the day”, पुतिन पूरी गर्मजोशी के साथ मोदी को SCO समिट की ग्रुप फोटो के लिए बने मंच तक ले गए. इसके बाद मोदी से अपनी कार में साथ चलने का अनुरोध किया, गेट पर मोदी के लिए दस मिनट तक इंतजार किया. शी जिनपिंग ने भी मोदी को हाथों हाथ लिया, आंतकवाद के मुद्दे पर भारत के रुख का समर्थन किया, मौजूदा उथल पुथल के दौर में भारत चीन और रूस की दोस्ती को “वर्ल्ड ऑर्डर का बैलेंसिंग फैक्टर बताया”.
पाकिस्तान भी SCO का सदस्य है. प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ की मौजदूगी में SCO के सभी देशों ने पहलगाम हमले की निंदा की. मोदी ने पुरज़ोर तरीके से कहा कि सीमा पार से आतंकवाद को किसी भी रूप में बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा और शहबाज शरीफ चुपचाप बैठे सुनते रहे.
SCO शिखर बैठक के दौरान पुतिन और शी जिनपिंग समेत सभी देशों के नेता प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को रिसीव करने पहुंचे लेकिन शहबाज शरीफ एक कोने में खड़े सबको देखते रहे. शहबाज शरीफ की बेइज्जती की चर्चा पाकिस्तान में खूब हो रही है.
जब त्येनजिन में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी SCO शिखर बैठक में पहुंचे, उस वक्त तक ज्यादातर राष्ट्रप्रमुख वहां पहुंच चुके थे. सबसे पहले पुतिन ने मोदी को रिसीव किया, पुतिन ने मोदी से हाथ मिलाया, गर्मजोशी से गले मिले, इसके बाद कॉरीडोर में दोनों नेता गुफ्तगू करते हुए अंदर तक गए. इस दौरान पुतिन और मोदी ने बेलारुस और टर्की के राष्ट्रपति समेत कई नेताओं से अभिवादन किया. शी जिनपिंग के साथ खड़े होकर अनौपचारिक बात भी हुई लेकिन किसी ने पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म शहबाज़ शऱीफ की तरफ देखा तक नहीं. शहबाज शरीफ एक कोने में खड़े थे लेकिन न मोदी ने, न पुतिन ने और न शी जिंगपिंग ने शहबाज़ शरीफ़ को कोई भाव दिया.
शिखर बैठक के दौरान शहबाज़ शरीफ़ कई मौक़ों पर मोदी के सामने पड़े लेकिन प्रधानमंत्री ने पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म की तरफ देखा तक नहीं. बड़ी बात ये है कि SCO बैठक का जो साझा बयान जारी हुआ, उसमें 22 अप्रैल के पहलगाम आतंकवादी हमले की कड़ी निंदा की गई. ये साझा बयान पाकिस्तान के वज़ीर-ए-आज़म शहबाज़ शरीफ़ की मौजूदगी में जारी हुआ. पाकिस्तान ने भी इस पर दस्तख़त किए हैं.
भारत, चीन, रूस, तुर्की, ईरान, उज़्बेकिस्तान, कज़ाख़िस्तान, बेलारुस और ईरान समेत 10 देशों ने पहलगाम हमले को इंसानियत पर हमला बताया. इस हमले की साज़िश करने वालों के ख़िलाफ़ कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की. SCO के साझा बयान में दहशतगर्दों को पालने पोसने वालों, उनकी मदद करने वालों के ख़िलाफ़ भी कड़ी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की गई.
आतंकवाद के सवाल पर प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने जो कहा, वो पाकिस्तान के गाल पर तमाचा है. SCO के साझा बयान में आतंकवाद की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा की गई. ये आसिम मुनीर को करारा जवाब है. इसी साल जून में रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने साझा बयान पर इसीलिए दस्तखत नहीं किया था, क्योंकि उसमें आतंकवाद का जिक्र नहीं था. नरेंद्र मोदी की diplomacy ने बाज़ी पलट दी. शी जिनपिंग के सामने कहा, पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री के मुंह पर कहा, दुनिया के 20 नेताओं को बताया कि पहलगाम का आतंकी हमला इंसानियत के नाम पर कलंक है, जो देश आतंकवाद को पालते पोसते हैं, उनके खिलाफ action कितना जरूरी है.
मोदी ने बिना कहे चीन को याद दिलाया कि वो आतंकवाद की factory को माल सप्लाई करता है, चीन को इस बात का एहसास कराया कि आतंकवाद पर भारत का stand न बदला है, ना बदलेगा. चीन को भी इस बात का एहसास है कि कैसे पाकिस्तान चीन को छोड़कर अमेरिका की गोद में बैठ गया, ट्रंप को Nobel peace prize के लिए recommend करने में आसिम मुनीर ने जरा भी शर्म नहीं की. अब चीन ये बताना चाहता है कि उसके लिए भारत पाकिस्तान के मुकाबले कहीं ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है, इसीलिए तस्वीरों में साफ दिखाई दिया कि शी जिनपिंग ने कैसे शहबाज शरीफ को ignore किया और मोदी का दोस्त की तरह स्वागत किया.
SCO शिखर सम्मेलन प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की कूटनीति की ऐतिहासिक सफलता है. जो लोग कह रहे थे कि भारत की विदेश नीति असफल हो गई, उनको मोदी, पुतिन और शी जिनपिंग की दोस्ती देखकर धक्का लगा होगा.
जो लोग कहते थे कि मोदी चीन से डरते हैं, उन्होंने देखा होगा, कैसे मोदी ने आंख में आंख डालकर पाकिस्तान के आतंकवाद की निंदा की, वो भी चीन की सरज़मीं पर.
जो लोग मोदी को कूटनीति का पाठ पढ़ा रहे थे, उन्होंने देखा होगा कि पुतिन ने कैसे अपनी कार में बैठकर मोदी का इंतजार किया, दोनों नेताओं ने 50 मिनट तक अकेले में गाड़ी में बैठकर बात की. पुतिन के कूटनीतिक संबंधों में ऐसा दूसरा उदाहरण देखने को नहीं मिलता.
जो लोग कह रहे थे ‘नरेंदर सरेंडर’, उनको आज दिल्ली में अमेरिकी दूतावास द्वारा जारी बयान पढ़कर सांप सूंघ गया होगा. आज अमेरिका को याद आ गया कि भारत और अमेरिका के रिश्ते कितने गहरे हैं और दोनों की दोस्ती कैसे नई ऊंचाइयां छू रही है.
जो लोग इस बात पर नाच रहे थे कि ट्रंप ने tariff लगा दिया, मोदी के लिए संकट खड़ा कर दिया, आज उनको इस बात पर मिर्ची लगेगी कि मोदी ने पुतिन और शी जिनपिंग के साथ मिलकर World Order का balance बनाकर ट्रंप को चौंका दिया.
जो लोग मोदी की विदेश नीति की आलोचना कर रहे थे, असल में वो भारत को नीचा दिखाने का प्रयास कर रहे थे.
जब मामला विदेश नीति का हो, जब मामला अमेरिका और चीन से मुकाबले का हो, तो सबको देश के साथ खड़ा होना चाहिए. प्रधानमंत्री कोई भी हो, सरकार किसी भी पार्टी की हो, राष्ट्रहित सर्वोपरि रहना ही चाहिए.

India, Russia and China, along with other member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation(SCO) on Monday unanimously said, without naming the US, that the world will not tolerate “unilateral coercive measures including those of an economic nature, that contravene UN Charter and other norms of international law”.
It was a clear reference to steep tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on most of the countries of the world.
As pictures and videos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping made it to the front pages of world newspapers and prime time of world news channels, the headlines were evocative.
“Xi, Putin And Modi Try To Signal Unity At China Summit”, wrote The New York Times, “Behind the smiles with Putin, Modi and Xi at China Summit”, said CNBC, “Car-rides and hand holding: Putin, Modi and Xi send Trump a message at China Summit”, said NBC News, “Xi, Modi and Putin share a laugh at security commit” , wrote CNN.
And what was the message from Xi, Modi and Putin? Without naming the US or Donald Trump, they said, the world will run on the basis of mutual cooperation and any country trying to disturb world order or browbeat others to break business chains, will not be tolerated.
The New York Times wrote: “Their display of friendship in China was aimed at projecting an alternative to US global leadership..”.
Russian Foreign Ministry posted the pictures of the three top leaders as its “Picture of the Day”. Putin, after a warm hug and handshake, went with Modi to the dais. He requested Modi to join him in his high-security vehicle Aurus Senat. Putin waited for ten minutes for Modi to come and join him in the vehicle. The two leaders had a long tete-a-tete even after reaching their venue for bilateral talks.
Xi Jinping supported India’s stand on terrorism and said that the friendship between India, China and Russia will prove to be the balancing factor in the new world order.
Pakistan is a member of SCO and most of the SCO countries condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sat and listened when Modi said, terrorism in any form will not be tolerated.
The outcomes of SCO Summit is a historic success for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomacy. Those who were saying that India’s foreign policy has failed, may have been shocked watching Modi, Putin and Xi meeting in a spirit of bonhomie.
Those who were claiming that Modi fears China, must have noticed how Modi said, in the face of the Pakistani Prime Minister on Chinese soil, that terror attacks will not be tolerated.
Those who were gratuitously teaching Modi the ropes of diplomacy must have noticed, Putin waiting in his vehicle for ten minutes for Modi to come and sit with him. Both the leaders had a tete-a-tete inside the car for nearly 50 minutes. Never had anybody seen such Putin in such a manner at any international gathering.
Those who were shouting, “Narender Surrender”, may have been shocked reading the statement issued by the US embassy in Delhi soon after the SCO summit was over.
It read, “The partnership between the United States and India continues to reach new heights — a defining relationship of the 21st century. This month, we’re spotlighting the people, progress, and possibilities driving us forward. From innovation and entrepreneurship to defense and bilateral ties, it’s the enduring friendship between our two peoples that fuels this journey.”
Those who were dancing in joy when Trump imposed 50 pc tariff on India, thereby creating a crisis for Modi, will be worried watching Modi, standing with Putin and Xi Jinping, trying to bring some balance in world order.
Even Donald Trump had to write on social media giving excuses on why he imposed a steep tariff on India.
The moot point is: Those who were criticising Modi’s foreign policy, were, in effect, trying to show India in a poor light. They must understand, whenever matters relating to foreign policy arise, whether in the form of challenges from the US or China, the entire nation should stand united, whosoever may be the Prime Minister, whosever may be running the government. National interest is above all.

इस वक्त अमेरिका समेत पूरी दुनिया की निगाह प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की चीन यात्रा पर है. अमेरिका के अखबारों में आज से ही बड़े बड़े लेख छपने लगे हैं कि अगर भारत, चीन और रूस मिल गए, तो अमेरिका का क्या होगा?
अगर ट्रंप के टैरिफ के जवाब में भारत, चीन और रूस ने कारोबारी गठजोड़ कर लिया, तो इससे अमेरिका की अर्थव्यवस्था पर क्या असर होगा?
रूस के राष्ट्रपति पुतिन दिसंबर में भारत आएंगे. इसीलिए अमेरिका में ट्रंप के बड़बोलेपन और मोदी की शांत कूटनीति के खूब चर्चे हो रहे हैं.
अब अमेरिकी एक्सपर्ट ये विश्लेषण कर रहे हैं कि चीन और भारत के रिश्ते तो दुश्मनी वाले थे. आखिर मोदी ने शी जिनपिंग पर क्या जादू कर दिया कि अब सीमा के विवाद पर भी बात हो रही है. दोनों देशों के नेता एक दूसरे के यहां दौरे कर रहे हैं. क्या ये सब अमेरिका को घेरने की रणनीति है?
अगर रूस, चीन और भारत मिलकर कारोबार करेंगे, तो अमेरिका कहां से सामान खरीदेगा और अपने प्रोडक्ट्स कहां बेचेगा ?
पिछले दस साल में नरेंद्र मोदी आठवीं बार जापान पहुंचे. शनिवार को मोदी जापान के प्रधानमंत्री के साथ बुलेट ट्रेन पर सवार हुए. जापान ने अगले 10 साल के अंदर भारत में 10 ट्रिलियन येन का निवेश करने का ऐलान किया है.
जापान तो भारत का पुराना दोस्त है. जापान भी इस बात को समझता है कि अमेरिका ने जान-बूझकर भारत को कॉर्नर किया है. जापान खुद भी कई बार अमेरिका का दंश झेल चुका है लेकिन चीन ने अमेरिका पर गहरी चोट कर दी है.
चीन ने अमेरिका के treasury bonds को बेचना शुरू कर दिया है जिससे अमेरिका में तनाव है. अमेरिका पर 35 ट्रिलियन डॉलर से ज्यादा का कर्ज है.
मोदी चीन में Shanghai Co-operation Organization की शिखर बैठक में हिस्सा लेंगे, लेकिन उससे पहले उनकी चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिन पिंग के साथ एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक होने वाली है. मोदी की पुतिन के साथ भी एक अहम बैठक होगी.
चीन के सरकारी अखाबर ग्लोबल टाइम्स ने अपने संपादकीय में लिखा है कि मोदी का चीन दौरा ये दिखाता है कि भारत और चीन के रिश्ते सुधरे हैं. दोनों देश बातचीत के जरिए सीमा पर तनाव कम करने में सफल रहे हैं और अब व्यापार बढ़ाने पर जोर दे रहे हैं.
ये कोई गुप्त बात नहीं है कि कारोबार की दुनिया में ट्रंप का पहला rival चीन है. चीन का अमेरिका के साथ 650 अरब डालर से ज्यादा का goods और service trade है.
ट्रंप चाहकर भी चीन पर tariff नहीं लगा सके. दूसरी तरफ रूस भी अमेरिका का पुराना rival है. ट्रंप लाख कोशिश के बावजूद पुतिन को यूक्रेन युद्ध रोकने के लिए तैयार नहीं कर पाए. पुतिन अपनी मर्जी के मालिक हैं, दबाव में नहीं आते हैं.
भारत और अमेरिका की दोस्ती पुरानी है. ट्रंप और मोदी के रिश्ते कुछ महीने पहले तक बहुत अच्छे थे. ट्रंप ने दोस्त को rival बना लिया, अच्छे रिश्तों को तबाह करने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी. मोदी को पाकिस्तान के साथ ceasefire पर बार बार embarrass किया, आसिम मुनीर और मोदी को साथ-साथ बिठाने की नाकाम कोशिश की. ट्रंप ने भारत पर दुनिया का highest tariff लगाया.
चीन की नजर इन टूटते रिश्तों पर थी. उसने भारत की तरफ हाथ बढ़ाया. मोदी ने हाथ थाम लिया. पुतिन ने इसमें एक सकारात्मक भूमिका निभाई. पुतिन इस बात को नहीं भूले कि मोदी ने बुरे वक्त में रूस का साथ दिया.
अमेरिका के दबाव के बावजूद भारत ने रूस से कच्चा तेल खरीदा. अब अगर ट्रंप से परेशान होकर ये तीनों मुल्क साथ आ रहे हैं, तो इसके लिए सिर्फ ट्रंप जिम्मेवार हैं.
ये मुकाबला Loud Mouth और Silent Planners के बीच है. भारत ने संकट में अवसर ढूंढा. मोदी इस काम में माहिर हैं. अगर SCO Summit के दौरान एक नयी विश्व व्यवस्था बनती है, तो अमेरिका के लिए मुश्किल होगी.

मोदी को मां की गाली : हद हो गई

बिहार में राहुल गांधी के मंच से प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को मां की गाली देने के मुद्दे पर अब कांग्रेस के नेता बचाव की मुद्रा में हैं. बीजेपी के नेता राहुल गांधी से माफी की मांग कर रहे हैं.पटना, कोलकाता, गुवाहाटी, दिल्ली में कांग्रेस और बीजेपी के कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच लाठी डंडे चल रहे हैं.
जिस शख्स ने मंच से माइक पर प्रधानमंत्री को मां की गाली दी, उसको दंरभंगा पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. मोहम्मद रिजवी उर्फ राजा दरभंगा के गांव भपुरा गांव का रहने वाला है. पेशे से ड्राइवर है और पंचर की दुकान चलाता है.
मोहम्मद रिजवी तो सलाखों के पीछे पहुंच गया. इसके बाद अब मोहम्मद नौशाद का नंबर है क्योंकि जिस मंच से प्रधानमंत्री को अपशब्द कहे गए, वो मंच यूथ कांग्रेस के नेता मोहम्मद नौशाद ने बनवाया था.
बड़ी बात ये है कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की मां को गाली दी गई, लेकिन कांग्रेस का कोई नेता इस मुद्दे पर बोलने को तैयार नहीं हैं.
AIMIM चीफ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी मोदी के सबसे बड़े आलोचक हैं. .ओवैसी से ज्यादा तीखे अंदाज में कोई बीजेपी और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की मुखालफत नहीं करता लेकिन ओवैसी पर तो कभी प्रधानमंत्री के अपमान का इल्जाम नहीं लगा.
असल में ओवैसी और राहुल गांधी में एक फर्क है. ओवैसी मोदी के राजनीतिक विरोधी है लेकिन राहुल गांधी ने मोदी से व्यक्तिगत दुश्मनी पाल ली है.
राहुल का अंदाज मोदी पर कटाक्ष करना नहीं, उन्हें अपमानित करना होता है. इसीलिए वो ‘सुन मोदी’, ‘तू क्या जानता है’,’मोदी झूठा है’, ‘मोदी चोर है’ इस तरह के शब्दों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं.
राहुल ये दिखाने की कोशिश करते हैं कि अकेले वही है जो मोदी से नहीं डरते. मोदी को गाली दे सकते हैं, तू तड़ाक के अंदाज में बात कर सकते हैं. चूंकि राहुल रैली में इस तरह की भाषा का इस्तेमाल करते हैं, इसीलिए कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ताओं को लगता है कि अगर वो भी मोदी को गाली देंगे, तो इससे राहुल गांधी खुश होंगे.
मोहम्मद रिजवी ने यही गलती कर दी और अब जनाब जेल में हैं. गाली कांग्रेस के मंच से दी गई. इसके बावजूद कांग्रेस के प्रवक्ता ये कहें कि ये बीजेपी का साजिश है, तो क्या कहा जाय.
मध्य प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव इस बार ‘आप की अदालत’ में मेरे मेहमान हैं. मैंने राजनीति में भाषा के गिरते स्तर पर मोहन यादव से सवाल किया तो मोहन यादव ने कहा कि कांग्रेस भारत की संस्कृति को भूल गई है. जैसे महाभारत में गाली देने वाले शिशुपाल को भगवान श्रीकृष्ण ने सुदर्शन चक्र से मारा था. वैसे ही अब देश के लोग कांग्रेस पर वोट का सुदर्शन चक्र चलाएंगे.

The world’s attention is now focussed on the forthcoming meetings between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin.
Modi’s meeting with Xi is scheduled for Sunday before he attends the summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. This is Modi’s first China visit after seven years.
Already, American and European media have started speculating what will happen if India and China join hands with Russia on the issue of trade. Russian President Vladimir Putin will be visiting India in December and this is surely going to raise tension in Washington DC.
On one hand, we have Trump and his advisers adopting a belligerent approach towards India, and on the other hand, India is engaged in quiet diplomacy. Modi is in Japan which has promised to invest 10 trillion yen in India in the next ten years. Modi hitched a ride with Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba on the bullet train on Saturday.
Meanwhile China has begun selling US treasury bonds and this has caused a huge pressure on the US government which is facing more than $35 trillion debt. Three top rating agencies including Moody’s and Fitch have lowered US credit ratings.
The Tianjin SCO summit is being seen as China’s major global presentation with leaders from 20 countreis and 10 international organizations going to take part.
China’s semi-official daily Global Times in its editorial has this headline: “China, India strengthening interaction a rational choice in a multipolar world”.
The editorial says, “India’s active participation in the SCO Tianjin Summit reflects its repositioning of the multilateral cooperation framework. …. The current recovery phase of China-India relations is primarily driven by shared strategic needs. Since the Galwan Valley incident, both sides have consumed considerable resources in managing border tensions. Increasingly, both countries recognize that allocating limited resources to economic development and more pressing strategic priorities – rather than endless border disputes – is the more rational choice.”
It is not a secret that Trump’s biggest rival in world trade is China. China has a $650+ billion goods and service trade with the US. This is the reason why Trump, despite wanting badly, could not impose steep tariff on China.
On the other hand, Russia is also the US’ old rival. Despite much efforts, Trump failed to persuade Putin to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine. Putin is working on his own objectives.
India-US relationship is old, and till a few months back, Trump-Modi ties were good. But due to his belligerence, Trump made his friend Modi his rival. He did not leave any stone unturned in spoling that friendly relationship. Trump deliberately harassed Modi by claiming that he brokered the ceasefire with Pakistan. His effort to bring both Asim Munir and Narendra Modi to a table failed. In the end, he slapped the highest tariff against India.
China was keeping a close watch on this failing relationship. It extended its hand of friendship towards India, and Modi agreed. Putin played a positive role in this. Putin has not forgotten that it was Modi who supported Russia in its worst moments. Despite US pressure, India imported crude oil from Russia.
Now if all these three big countries – India, Russia and China – come together because of Trump’s follies, it is the US President who must be held responsible. The contest is between a loudmouth and silent planners.
Modi is a past master in converting crisis into opportunity. If the SCO Summit ushers in a new world order, it may cause worries for the US.

Abusing Modi’s late mother : Congress, Who is responsible?

The Congress is now on the defensive after some of its workers shouted abusive slogans against PM Modi at a rally in Darbhanga, Bihar. BJP leaders are demanding public apology from Rahul Gandhi. In Patna and Kolkata, BJP and Congress supporters came to blows during protests. They used lathis and threw stones apart from ransacking party offices.
The Congress supporter Mohammed Rizvi alias Raja who has been arrested by Bihar Police from Bhapura Karmauni village, is a driver and runs a tyre puncture shop. Another local Congress leader Mohammed Naushad is under the scanner of police. Naushad had brought some anti-social elements to the meeting and BJP leaders are also demanding his arrest.
The Prime Minister’s late mother was abused by Congressmen, but the party is unwilling to speak on it. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar condemned the incident, while Home Minister Amit Shah, at a rally in Assam, said such an incident happened because Rahul Gandhi has been making objectionable remarks against the PM in most of his meetings in Bihar.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is one of the most trenchant critics of Modi. But it goes to Owaisi’s credit that he never used gutter language against the Prime Minister. There is a clear difference between Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi.
Owaisi is Modi’s political rival, but Rahul Gandhi has deliberately opted for personal enmity towards Modi. If you watch Rahul speaking, he never goes by nuances while criticizing Modi. His remarks are brazen and insulting. He uses phrases like “Sun Modi, “Tu Kya Jaanta Hai”, “Modi Jhootha Hai”, “Modi Chor Hai”, etc.
Rahul Gandhi tries to show off that he is the only politician in the opposition who does not fear Modi and can abuse him. Congress workers and supporters have now taken the cue from their leader. They felt that if they hurl abuses at Modi, Rahul will be happy. Mohammed Rizvi committed this mistake and he is now behind bars. The abuses were hurled from a Congress platform, and yet the Congress says, it is a BJP conspiracy.
Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav was the guest in my show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ on Friday. He said, “Congress has forgotten Indian culture. In the Mahabharata, Shishupal hurled abuses at Lord Shri Krishna 100 times. When he abused Krishna for the 101th time, the Lord hurled his Sudarshan Chakra and dismembered him. The people of India are now waiting to use their Sudarshan Chakra at the Congress”.

पूरी दुनिया में आज इस बात की चर्चा है कि अमेरिका ने भारत पर सब ज्यादा टैरिफ क्यों लगाया? अमेरिका में भी लोग इस बात को लेकर परेशान हैं कि ट्रंप ने भारत पर 50% टैरिफ लगाकर चीजों को महंगा क्यों कर दिया. इसको लेकर जितने मुंह, उतनी बातें. ट्रंप के एक एडवाइजर ने कहा कि ट्रंप ने भारत पर इतना टैरिफ इसीलिए लगाया क्योंकि ट्रंप मानते हैं कि रूस और यूक्रेन की जंग के लिए नरेंद्र मोदी जिम्मेदार हैं.
ट्रंप के सलाहकार पीटर नवारो ने दावा किया कि रूस से तेल खरीदकर भारत पुतिन को जंग के लिए पैसे देता है. अगर मोदी रूस से खरीदना बंद कर दें तो टैरिफ भी वापस हो जाएगा और रूस यूक्रेन की जंग भी रुक जाएगी.
अमेरिका की इस तर्क में कोई दम नहीं है क्योंकि अमेरिका के एक और एक्सपर्ट ने दूसरा लॉजिक दिया. ये भी ट्रंप के सलाहकार हैं. अमेरिका की नेशनल इकॉनमिक काउंसिल के डायरेक्टर केविन हैसेट ने कहा भारत पर इतना टैरिफ लगाने की वजह ये है कि भारत ने कृषि और डेयरी सेक्टर अमेरिकी कंपनियों के लिए खोलने से मना कर दिया, मोदी इस बात पर अड़े हुए हैं और ट्रंप भी अड़े हुए हैं, इसीलिए रास्ता निकलने की उम्मीद कम है.
ट्रंप ख़ुद ये मान रहे हैं कि यूक्रेन में युद्ध से अमेरिका को भारी मुनाफ़ा हो रहा है. फिर भी उन्होंने युद्ध के लिए भारत को ज़िम्मेदार ठहराया. एक्सपर्ट्स ने इसकी 4 वजह बताई.
एक तो ये कि जुलाई 2019 में जब इमरान ख़ान अमेरिका गए थे तो ट्रंप ने उनसे कह दिया था कि कश्मीर के मसले पर मोदी ने उनसे मध्यस्थता करने को कहा है. ट्रंप के इस बयान पर मोदी ने नाराजगी जाहिर की और ट्रंप को बता दिया कि भारत, कश्मीर के मसले पर किसी तीसरे देश की मध्यस्थता को स्वीकार नहीं करेगा.
ट्रंप और मोदी के बीच तल्ख़ी की दूसरी वजह, अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में हुई एक घटना है. मोदी ने ट्रंप और कमला हैरिस दोनों उम्मीदवारों से मिलने का समय मांगा, ट्रंप ने समय दिया, ट्रंप ने अपनी रैली में इसकी घोषणा भी कर दी कि मोदी मुझसे मिलने आ रहे हैं. लेकिन अन्तिम क्षण में कमला हैरिस ने मोदी को मिलने का समय नहीं दिया. मोदी को लगा कि सिर्फ़ एक पार्टी के उम्मीदवार से मिलना ठीक नहीं होगा, इसलिए मोदी ने ट्रंप के साथ मुलाकात कैंसिल कर दी. ट्रंप को ये बात बहुत नागवार गुजरी.
तीसरी बात, भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच युद्धविराम. ट्रंप अब तक 42 बार कह चुके हैं कि भारत पाकिस्तान का युद्ध उन्होंने रुकवाया. सीजफायर का फैसला करवाया. भारत कई बार ये साफ़ कर चुका है कि सीज़फ़ायर का फ़ैसला पाकिस्तान के अनुरोध पर हुआ लेकिन ट्रंप सुनने को तैयार नहीं हैं.
चौथी वजह, ट्रंप और मोदी की बात कनाडा में होनी थी. G-7 शिखर सम्मेलन के दौरान मीटिंग तय थी लेकिन ट्रंप अचानक अमेरिका लौट गए. फिर उन्होंने मोदी को फोन किया, वॉशिंगटन आने के लिए कहा. ये वही दिन था जब पाकिस्तान के आर्मी चीफ आसिम मुनीर व्हाइट हाउस में ट्रंप से लंच पर मिलने वाले थे. मोदी ने वॉशिंगटन जाने से इनकार कर दिया. ट्रंप को ये बात चुभ गई. एक्सपर्ट्स मानते हैं कि इन 4 कारणों की वजह से ट्रंप ने टैरिफ को लेकर भारत को टारगेट किया.
ट्रंप और मोदी के रिश्तों में खटास की एक वजह जर्मनी के अख़बार Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ने भी बताई. जर्मनी के इस बड़े अखबार का दावा है कि ट्रंप ने मोदी को चार बार कॉल किया लेकिन मोदी ने ट्रंप की कॉल रिसीव नहीं की. इसकी वजह क्या थी? ये औपतारिक रूप से किसी ने नहीं बताया. लेकिन पता ये चला है कि ट्रंप अक्सर दुनिया के नेताओं को अपने पर्सनल नंबर से कॉल करते हैं. जिन नेताओं को ट्रंप ने अपने पर्सनल नंबर दिए हैं, उनमें प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी भी है. अपने पिछले कार्यकाल में ट्रंप ने मोदी को अपना पर्सनल नंबर दिया था. लेकिन इस बार राष्ट्रपति बनने के बाद ट्रंप ने सुरक्षा एजेंसियों के कहने पर अपना फ़ोन और नंबर दोनों बदल दिया. शायद उन्होंने अपने नए नंबर से ही प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के मोबाइल पर कॉल किया था. unknown नंबर होने की वजह से प्रधानमंत्री ने ट्रंप की कॉल्स रिसीव नहीं की. लगता है ट्रंप ने इस बात को दिल पर ले लिया और अब टैरिफ को बदले का हथियार बना रहे हैं.
एक बात तो पक्की है कि ट्रंप को भारत से जो भी समस्या है, वह बहुत बड़ी है. इतनी बड़ी समस्य़ा सिर्फ Russia से तेल खरीदने को लेकर तो नहीं हो सकती क्योंकि यूक्रेन को अमेरिका और यूरोप इतनी मदद भेजते हैं कि उसके आगे रूस को भारत के तेल से होने वाली कमाई आटे में नमक के बराबर है.
ट्रंप की समस्या इतनी बड़ी है कि उन्होंने आसिम मुनिर को गोद में बिठा लिया. युद्धविराम को tariff से जोड़कर बार-बार मोदी को embarrass किया, भारत पर सबसे ज्यादा टैरिफ लगा दिया. भारत के साथ इतने वर्षों की दोस्ती का कोई ख्याल नहीं किया.
जिस चीन से अमेरिका की दुश्मनी है, उसे छूट दी. ट्रंप के इस रवैये की सिर्फ एक ही वजह हो सकती है कि ‘नरेंदर’ ने सरेंडर करने से इनकार कर दिया. मोदी ने ट्रंप के आगे झुकने से इनकार कर दिया. ट्रंप ने मोदी को underestimate किया.
वैसे भी ट्रंप का काम करने का अपना तरीका है. वो रोज़ मीडिया से सीधे बात करते हैं, किसी भी Head of State के बारे में कुछ भी कह देते हैं. बड़े-बड़े फैसले सोशल मीडया पोस्ट करके घोषणाएं करते हैं. दूसरे देशों के प्रधानमंत्रों और राष्ट्रपतियों को सीधे mobile पर फोन करते हैं. ऐसा अमेरिका में पहले कभी किसी राष्ट्रपति ने नहीं किया. अब अमेरिका के लोग भी कह रहे हैं कि ट्रंप सिर्फ एक trader हैं, deal maker हैं. इसीलिए भारत को ट्रंप से deal करने के नए और अलग तरीके ढूंढने होंगे और मुझे विश्वास है कि इसकी कोशिश ज़रूर की जा रही होगी.

बिहार : मोदी की मां के नाम पर गाली, दांव उल्टा पड़ेगा

बिहार में चुनावी राजनीति गालीगलौज के स्तर पर पहुंच गई है. राहुल गांधी ने बुधवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के लिए तू-तड़ाक की भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया और अगले दिन कांग्रेस के स्थानीय नेताओं ने दरभंगा में मंच से मोदी को गंदी-गंदी गालियां दीं.
मंच से माइक पर देश के प्रधानमंत्री को मां की गाली दी गई, सिर्फ गाली नहीं दी गई, गाली देकर नारे लगवाए गए. ये घिनौनी हरकत दगभंगा के पास बिठौली में हुई. वहां राहुल गांधी और तेजस्वी यादव की वोट अधिकार यात्रा के लिए मंच बना था. सामने कांग्रेस और RJD के हजारों कार्यकर्ता थे. इसी दौरान मंच से कांग्रेस के किसी स्थानीय नेता ने माइक पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को भद्दी गालियां देनी शुरू कर दी, मोदी को मां की गाली दी.
हैरानी की बात ये है कि कांग्रेस के इस नेता ने सामने मौजूद पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं से भी मोदी के लिए गालियों के नारे लगवाए. मंच पर दर्जनों लोग मौजूद थे लेकिन किसी ने इस नीचतापूर्ण हरकत का विरोध नहीं किया. किसी ने उसे नहीं रोका.
चूंकि मंच पर भीड़ थी, कैमरे मंच से दूर थे, इसलिए उस शख्स का चेहरा सामने नहीं आया जिसने ये गिरी हुई हरकत की. पता ये चला कि जो मंच बना था वो कांग्रेस के एक स्थानीय नेता मोहम्मद नौशाद ने बनवाया था. नौशाद इस बार जाले विधानसभा सीट से कांग्रेस के टिकट का दावेदार है.
जैसे ही प्रधानमंत्री को गाली देने वाला वीडियो सामने आया तो देशभर में बीजेपी के नेताओं ने इसकी निंदा की. बिहार पुलिस ने कांग्रेस के कार्यकर्ता मुहम्मद रिज़वी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि ये कृत्य सिर्फ प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का नहीं, बल्कि 140 करोड़ भारतवासियों की भावनाओं का अपमान है.
गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और उनकी स्वर्गीय माताजी के लिए कांग्रेस और आरजेडी के मंच से जिस तरह गालियों और अभद्र भाषा का प्रयोग किया गया है, वह न केवल निंदनीय है, बल्कि हमारे लोकतंत्र को कलंकित करने वाला है. बीजेपी अध्यक्ष जे पी नड्डा ने भी कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की मां को जिस तरह गाली दी गई, उसके लिए राहुल गांधी और तेजस्वी यादव, दोनों शहजादों, को माफी मांगना चाहिए.
चुनावों का इतिहास गवाह है कि कांग्रेस ने जब जब मोदी को गाली दी है, मोदी को फायदा हुआ है और कांग्रेस को नुकसान. जब सोनिया गांधी ने गुजरात में मोदी को ‘मौत का सौदागर’ कहा तो कांग्रेस को खामियाजा भुगतना पड़ा.
इसके बाद कांग्रेस गुजरात में दंगों की बात करने से कतराती थी. जब राहुल ने ‘चौकीदार चोर है’ का नारा दिया तो ये कांग्रेस के लिए counter productive साबित हुआ. राहुल का दांव उल्टा पड़ गया. जब राहुल गांधी ने कहा, ‘सारे मोदी चोर हैं’ तो मुकदमा हुआ, कोर्ट में जवाब देना मुश्किल हो गया.
जब राहुल ने ‘नरेंदर सरेंडर’ कहा तो public को बुरा लगा. कल भी बिहार में राहुल ने प्रधानमंत्री को लेकर जिस तरह की भाषा का इस्तेमाल किया, उसे बिहार की जनता पसंद नहीं करेगी. इन बातों का लोगों पर खास असर इसीलिए भी नहीं होता क्योंकि मोदी का एक track record है. मोदी की देशभक्ति पर कोई सवाल नहीं उठा सकता. दूसरा, मोदी किसी से डरने वालों में नहीं हैं. तीसरा, मोदी पर भ्रष्टाचार का कोई आरोप नहीं जमता.
मोदी के परिश्रम का लोहा उनके विरोधी भी मानते हैं. इसी चक्कर में मोदी को गाली देने वालों को नुकसान होता है. मोटी बात ये है कि भारत के लोकतंत्र में अपशब्दों का, अश्लीलता का, गालियों का कोई स्थान नहीं है.

The world is discussing why US President Donald Trump imposed the highest tariff on India. People in the US are also worried over Indian goods becoming costlier after the tariff was enforced.
Trump’s advisers are adding fire to the flames. His trade adviser Peter Navarro went to the extent of labelling the Russia-Ukraine conflict as ‘Modi’s War’. Another of his close advisers, Kevin Hassett, US National Economic Council director, accused India of “intransigence” in opening up its markets for American products. Hassett said, “If the Indians don’t budge, I don’t think President Trump will”.
Peter Navarro, after criticising India for purchasing crude from Russia, remarked on India’s thaw in relations with China. He said: “India, you are getting in bed with authoritarians. China invaded Aksai Chin and all your territory. They are not your friends. And Russia? Come on!”
Navarro alleged that the Russia-Ukraine conflict is “Modi’s war”, saying the “road to peace” runs partly “right through New Delhi”. In other words, he was saying, if India stops buying crude from Russia, the US will withdraw its additional tariff on India and the Ukraine conflict will come to an end.
The trade adviser’s logic does not carry weight, because another Trump adviser said, India refused to open up its agriculture and dairy sectors because of high US tariff. Since both Modi and Trump have adopted inflexible stands, the way out appears to be complicated.
There is no doubt that Trump has no genuine reason for imposing additional tariff on Indian products. Purchase of Russian oil is being projected as an excuse. Trump has himself admitted that the US is earning profit by selling weapons for the Ukraine conflict.
Experts have cited 4 main reasons for the rift between Trump and Modi.
Reason One: In July, 2019, when the then Pakistani PM Imran Khan went to the US, he was told by Trump that Modi has asked him to mediate on Kashmir. Modi expressed unhappiness over Trump’s remark and it was clearly conveyed to the White House that India will not accept any third party role for solving the Kashmir issue.
Reason Two: During the US presidential election, Modi had sought time to meet both the candidates, Trump and Kamala Harris. Trump gave him time and he announced this at one of his rallies saying that Modi was coming to meet him, but at the last moment, Kamala Harris backed out. Modi felt it would be unwise to meet only one party’s candidate. He cancelled his appointment with Trump, who took it amiss.
Reason Three: Trump claimed 42 times that he brokered the Indian-Pakistan ceasefire. India has clarified several times that the ceasefire offer was accepted at Pakistan’s request, but Trump was unwilling to listen.
Reason Four: Trump and Modi were supposed to meet in Canada on the sidelines of G-7 summit, but Trump left the summit midway and returned to the US. He rang up Modi and invited him to come to the White House. At the same time, Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir was supposed to meet Trump for dinner at the White House. Naturally, Modi declined Trump’s invite. This got Trump’s goat.
Experts say, because of these four main reasons, Trump decided to target India on tariff issue.
On the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung’s report that Trump made four telephone calls to Modi, but the Indian Prime Minister did not agree to speak to him, there is no official confirmation. But reports say, Trump has been calling world leaders on his personal phone number, which he had shared with them, including Modi.
During his first tenure, Trump had shared his personal number with Modi, but after becoming President again, Trump changed his phone numbers on the advice of security agencies. Probably, Trump made calls from his new number to Modi, and since it was an ‘unknown number’, the Indian Prime Minister did not receive Trump’s calls.
One thing is clear. Trump’s problem with India is not only because of India purchasing Russian oil. The US and European countries are still providing huge support to Ukraine, and India’s oil purchase from Russia is just minuscule.
Trump’s problem is so big that he made Asim Munir his friend and opted to embarrass Modi by joining the ceasefire issue with the tariff. It is because of this big reason that he imposed the highest tariff on India and did not keep his old friendship with India in mind.
Trump gave concessions to China, whom he considered the US’s biggest rival.
There can be only one reason behind this: Narendra refused to “surrender”. Modi refused to bow down to the US’ demands.
Trump has underestimated Modi. Trump has his own style of working. He speaks to media on a daily basis and says whatever he feels about any Head of State. He makes big announcements through his posts on social media. He speaks to world Prime Ministers and Presidents directly over his mobile phone. None of the US presidents ever did so.
Now, even the Americans are saying that Trump is only a trader, a deal maker. That is why India will have to explore new ways and methods of dealing with Trump and I believe, the work is on.

Bihar : Abusing Modi’s mother will harm opposition’s prospects

Electoral politics in Bihar has now entered the level of gutter language. On Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi used mean language about Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar, and on Thursday, Congress workers shouted abusive slogans against Modi’s late mother from the dais in Bithauli, Darbhanga. A stage was erected in Bithauli, but both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav did not use the stage to address during their Vote Adhikar Yatra.
There were several thousands Congress and RJD supporters present. Suddenly a local Congress worker Mohammed Rizwi started shouting abusive slogans against Modi on the mike. He egged on his supporters to shout slogans abusing Modi’s late mother. There were local leaders present on the dais when this incident took place, but none of them stopped such slogans. Local Youth Congress leader Mohammed Naushad Alam had arranged the dais. On Friday, police arrested Mohammed Rizwi for shouting abusive slogans against the Prime Minister.
Top BJP leaders lambasted Rahul Gandhi and Congress over this incident. Home Minister Amit Shah said, shouting abusive slogans against the Prime Minister’s late mother is a blot on our democracy.
BJP president J.P. Nadda demanded public apology from both Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for this incident. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath said, such abusive remarks reflects the real DNA of Congress.
Recent electoral history is witness to the fact that whenever Congress abused Narendra Modi, it was Modi, who benefited and the Congress lost. Sonia Gandhi during her campaign in Gujarat had described Modi as “maut ka saudagar” (merchant of death) and Congress was crushed at the electoral hustings. Congress then avoided mentioning Gujarat riots.
When Rahul Gandhi coined the slogan, “Chaukidar Chor Hai”, it proved counter-productive for the Congress. Rahul’s gambit failed.
When Rahul Gandhi said, “Saare Modi Chor Hain”, he had to face a court case and found it difficult to give a cogent reply.
When Rahul Gandhi said, “Narender Surrender”, the public disapproved such remark. The language that Rahul used against the Prime Minister on Wednesday will not get any support from the people of Bihar.
The reason why abusive remarks have no impact on people is because of Modi’s proven track record. Nobody can raise questions about Modi’s patriotism.
Secondly, Modi is a man who cannot be browbeaten. Thirdly, not a single charge of corruption can stick to Modi. Even his rivals admit the amount of labour that the Prime Minister puts in.
This is the reason why abusing Modi will always prove counter-productive. There is no place for abuses and obscene remarks in Indian democracy.

भारतीय वस्तुओं के निर्यात पर ट्रंप का 50 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त टैरिफ लागू हो गया. गणेशोत्सव की छुट्टी के बाद आज जब शेयर बाज़ार खुले, तो सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में काफी गिरावट दर्ज़ की गई. सेंसेक्स 706 अंक गिर कर 80,080.57 पर बंद हुआ, जबाकि निफ्टी 211 अंक गिर कर 24,501 अंक पर बंद हुआ. कारोबारियों का कहना है कि ट्रम्प टैरिफ का बाज़ार के sentiment पर असर पड़ा लेकिन ये ज्यादा समय नहीं रहेगा और देर सबेर उछाल आएगा.
भारत से अमेरिका जाने वाले सामान पर साल भर पहले जो टैरिफ केवल 3% था, उसमें 50% और जुड़ गया. भारत, अमेरिका को 90 आरब डॉलर का सामान बेचता है, अब इनमें से 60 अरब डॉलर के माल पर 50% अतिरिक्त टैरिफ लगा दिया गया है. ये भारतीय उद्योग के लिए बड़ी चुनौती है.
इसका असर भारत के कपड़ा, गारमेंट्स, जेवरात, हीरा, shrimps, कारपेट और फर्नीचर उद्योग पर ज्यादा होगा. कुछ महीने के लिए इन फैक्ट्रियों के पास ज्यादा काम नहीं होगा. इनका उत्पादन घटेगा, मजदूरों को हटाया जाएगा.
नोट करने की बात ये है कि ट्रंप ने उन चीजों पर कोई टैरिफ नहीं लगाया है जिनकी जरूरत अमेरिका को है. इनमें स्मार्टफोन, दवाएं, और पेट्रोलियम उत्पाद शआमिल हैं.
नए रेट से हमारे टेक्सटाइल और कपड़ों पर आज से 62% टैरिफ लागू हो गया. इसका फायदा बांग्लादेश और मैक्सिको के कारोबारियों को होगा. उदाहरण के तौर पर हमारे यहां से जो शर्ट्स अमेरिका को निर्यात होती हैं, उन पर इस समय 12% ड्यूटी लगती है, जो अब से 62% हो गई. भारत में बनी शर्ट्स जब अमेरिकी बाजार में मंहगी होगी, तो इसका फायदा वियतनाम को होगा जिसके सामान पर सिर्फ 20% टैरिफ है.
भारत अमेरिका को जो हीरा, सोना और जेवरात एक्सपोर्ट करता है, उसका वॉल्यूम अमेरिका के व्यापार में सबसे ज्यादा 40% है. परसों तक इस पर सिर्फ 2% टैरिफ था. ये कल से बढ़कर 52% हो गया. इसका असर सूरत और जयपुर जैसे शहरों के व्यापारियों और कारीगरों पर पड़ेगा. यानि ये तो साफ है कि ट्रंप के टैरिफ का नकारात्मक असर तो पड़ेगा. आकलन इस बात का करना है कि ये असर कितना होगा.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी टैरिफ पर तत्काल जवाब कदम उठाने के मूड में नहीं हैं. भारत ने अपने टेक्सटाइल, सी-फूड, लेदर, जेम्स ऐंड जूलरी एक्सपोर्टर्स के लिए outreach करने का फ़ैसला किया है. सरकार रूस, यूरोपियन यूनियन, ब्रिटेन, जापान, ऑस्ट्रेलिया और दक्षिण कोरिया समेत क़रीब 40 देशों से बातचीत कर रही है जिससे इन देशों के साथ कारोबार बढ़ाया जा सके और अमेरिकी टैरिफ से निर्यात में आने वाली कमी की भरपाई की जा सके.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में हुई कैबिनेट की बैठक में अमेरिका के अतिरिक्त टैरिफ के असर का आकलन किया गया, सरकार ने तय किया है कि भारत के मित्र देशों के साथ फ्री ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट पर ज़ोर दिया जाएगा. इसके अलावा घरेलू खपत बढाकर निर्यात को लगने वाले झटके में कमी लाने की कोशिश की जाएगी.
ट्रंप ने टैरिफ लगाने में भी चालाकी की है. जिन चीजों की खपत अमेरिका में ज्यादा है, उन पर ट्रंप ने अतिरिक्त टैरिफ नहीं लगाया है. उदाहरण के तौर पर भारत अमेरिका को हर साल 9.5 अरब डॉलर की दवाएं निर्यात करता है. दवाओं पर पहले भी अमेरिका कोई टैरिफ़ नहीं लगाता था और अब भी नहीं लगेगा.
इसी तरह भारत दुनिया में स्मार्टफोन का सबसे बड़ा निर्माता है. भारत से हर साल 16.6 अरब डॉलर के स्मार्टफोन अमेरिका को निर्यात होते है. भारत के स्मार्टफ़ोन पर ज़ीरो टैरिफ़ था. ट्रंप ने इसको भी बक़रार रखा है. भारत के पेट्रोकेमिकल निर्यात पर भी अमेरिका ने कोई अतिरिक्त टैरिफ नहीं लगाया है. भारत हर साल अमेरिका को 4.1 अरब डॉलर के petro- chemical प्रोडक्ट बेचता है. पहले इस पर 6.9 परसेंट टैरिफ लगता था, अब भी इसी रेट से टैरिफ लगेगा.
ट्रंप का 50% tariff भारत के लिए चुनौती तो है लेकिन कोई पहाड़ नहीं टूट पड़ेगा. इसका निर्यात पर असर पड़ेगा लेकिन ऐसा भी नहीं है कि ट्रंप के tariff से भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था तबाह हो जाएगी.
अगर बढ़े हुए tariff से हमारे निर्यातकों को परेशानी होगी तो अमेरिका में ट्रंप को उपभोक्ताओं की नाराजगी भी झेलनी पड़ेगी. मैंने कई Trade Experts से बात की. उनका कहना है कि ट्रंप के tariff से घबराने की जरूरत बिल्कुल नहीं है. वैश्विक स्थिति ऐसी है कि ये tariff ज्यादा दिन तक नहीं रह पाएगा. ट्रंप को इसे कम करना ही पड़ेगा क्योंकि ट्रंप का ये tariff merit पर नहीं है. भारत को परेशान करने के लिए ज्यादा है.
अमेरिका पर भी दोहरे मापदंड अपनाने का दबाव है. ट्रंप से पूछा जा रहा है कि रूस से तो चीन भी तेल खरीदता है, फिर उसे छोड़कर भारत पर 25% अतिरिक्त tariff क्यों लगाया गया ? क्या ट्रंप ने रूसी तेल को बहाना बनाया?
असली बात ये है कि मोदी ने कृषि और डेयरी उत्पादों के बाजार को अमेरिकी कंपनियों के लिए खोलने से साफ मना कर दिया है. इससे ट्रंप नाराज हो गए.
जब भी अमेरिका से भारत की बात दोबारा शुरू होगी, तो ट्रंप से पूछा जाएगा कि रूस से तेल खरीदने वाले देशों के साथ अलग-अलग तरीके से कैसे सलूक किया जा सकता है? भारत और चीन के लिए अलग अलग पैमाने क्यों?
ये भी पूछा जाएगा कि अगर ट्रंप भारत पर अतिरिक्त टैरिफ लगाते हैं तो चीन को छोड़ने का क्या औचित्य है ? अमेरिकी व्यापार विशेषज्ञ भी ये मानते हैं कि 50% tariff सम्बे सम तक जारी नहीं रह सकता. ट्रंप प्रशासन पर अंदरूनी दबाव दिख रहा है. अमेरिका के वित्त मंत्री स्कॉट बेसेंट ने कहा है कि भारत और अमेरिका के रिश्ते बहुत अच्छे हैं, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी और डॉनल्ड ट्रंप के बीच भी अच्छा संबंध है. इसलिए उन्हें उम्मीद है कि जल्दी ही दोनों देश आपसी मसले सुलझा लेगें और दोनों एक साथ आएंगे.

वोट चोरी : राहुल के तर्क बेमानी
सबसे दिलचस्प बात ये है कि भारत को नुकसान पहुंचाने वाले ट्रंप आजकल राहुल गांधी को बड़े अच्छे लगने लगे हैं. जो भी मोदी को परेशान करता है, वो राहुल के good books में आ जाता है. बिहार के मुजफ्फरपुर की रैली में राहुल गांधी ने ट्रंप के बहाने राजनैतिक मर्यादा की सीमा एक बार फिर पार कर दी. ट्रंप के बयान का हवाला देकर मोदी के लिए सड़क छाप भाषा में बात की.
राहुल वोट चोरी का इल्जाम तो रोज लगाते हैं लेकिन कल उन्होंने ट्रंप के युद्ध रुकवाने वाले बयान का जिक्र किया. फिर गुजरात मॉडल पर आए और कहा कि नरेन्द्र मोदी और अमित शाह बीस साल से चुनाव आयोग की मदद से वोट चारी करके चुनाव जीत रहे हैं.
ये सही है कि राहुल गांधी के नेतृत्व की leadership में 11 साल में कांग्रेस मोदी से तीन बार लोकसभा का चुनाव हारी है, लेकिन इन्हीं 11 साल में एक बार बीजेपी राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ का विधानसभा चुनाव एक साथ हारी थी. तेलंगाना, कर्नाटक और हिमाचल में तो आज भी कांग्रेस की सरकारें हैं. तो ये कैसे कहा जा सकता है कि 20 साल से मोदी ने वोट चोरी करके सारे चुनाव जीते ?
मुझे लगता है कि 11 साल से राहुल गांधी इस सवाल का जवाब तलाश रहे हैं कि कांग्रेस बार बार चुनाव क्यों हारती है ? उन्होंने कभी नहीं माना कि मोदी ने लोकप्रियता के दम पर चुनाव जीते.
पहले राहुल कहते थे कि ED, CBI और Income Tax बीजेपी को चुनाव जिताती है लेकिन 10 साल तक ये सारी agencies कांग्रेस सरकार के पास थी. फिर भी कांग्रेस 2014 में बुरी तरह चुनाव क्यों हारी?
जब ये logic नहीं चला तो राहुल ने चुनाव में हार के लिए वोट चोरी को जिम्मेदार बताना शुरू कर दिया. अपने समर्थकों को बताने और समझाने के लिए तो ये तर्क चल सकता है कि मोदी कभी वोट घटा कर, तो कभी बढ़ा कर चुनाव जीत गए. लेकिन बाकी लोगों के लिए ये ना तो तार्किक है, ना ही विश्वसनीय. चुनाव आयोग जब चुनाव करवाता है तो इस पूरी प्रक्रिया में इतनी तादाद में सरकारी कर्मचारी, अफसरान, शिक्षक और राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ता जुड़े रहते हैं कि कोई किसी को हराने या जिताने की कोशिश करेगा तो तुरंत पकड़ा जाएगा. इसीलिए चुनाव आयोग पर या पूरी चुनाव प्रक्रिया पर सवाल उठाना बेमानी है.

Indian equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 fell on Tuesday, a day after 50% tariff by the US on Indian goods came into effect, hurting investor confidence. Both the benchmark indices stayed weak in the morning session with analysts saying that the new tariffs have shaken market sentiment.
Stock analysts, however, say the market is unlikely to panic because it will view the high US tariffs as short-term aberration which is expected to be resolved soon.
Commerce Ministry officials said, losses are expected in the short-term in labour-intensive sectors, but disrupted supply chains will be recalibrated in a few months. Finance Ministry officials say, the ripple effects on the economy could be challenging and need careful attention.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears not in a mood for any knee-jerk reaction. Textiles, seafood, leather, gems and jewellery exporters will be provided outreach in nearly 40 countries including UK, EU, Japan, Australia, South Korea and Russia.
Already textile and garment exporters are considering shifting the final stage of their manufacturing operations to other countries to protect their US market following the imposition of steep tariff. India exports roughly $38 billion worth textiles and readymade garments. 35 pc of this is exported to the United States.
With the imposition of 50 pc US tariff, Indian textiles and garments will become costly in the US, and Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and China can make gains. Textile sector’s share in India’s GDP is 2.3 per cent and in total industrial output its share is 13 pc.
One-third of Indian garments and textiles are exported to the US and the steep tariff has come as a shock. India is in talks with Russia, South Korea, Japan and Australia for diversifying exports.
The second sector which will be badly impacted is the gems and jewellery industry. India exports $10 billion worth gems and jewellery out of which the 40 pc is exported to the US alone. For American importers, buying Indian gems and jewellery could become a loss-making proposition.
India is a big exporter of polished diamonds, and 30 pc of its diamond exports is exported to the US. India accounts for 90 pc of the cutting and polishing of natural diamonds across the world. Exporters in Surat say that the initial shock of the steep tariff will be met soon by diverting exports to other countries.
Trump’s 50 pc tariff is a challenge for India, but heavens will not fall. It will be incorrect to say that Trump’s tariff will damage Indian economy.
On one hand, Indian exporters will face a steep fall in exports, but on the other hand, Trump will have to face the ire of consumers in the US.
I spoke to several trade experts today. Most of them said, there is no need to be worried over Trump’s tariff. The global situation is such that this tariff cannot be sustained for long. Ultimately, Trump will have to lower the tariff, because it is not based on merits. Its only objective is to harass Indian exporters.
Trump is also facing accusations of applying double standards. Questions are being asked how China was let off when it is buying oil from Russia and only India was singled out for 25 pc penal tariff? Did Trump invent the excuse of purchasing Russian oil?
The main issue is: Prime Minister Modi has refused to open India’s doors to American agriculture and dairy products. This got Trump’s goat.
Whenever talks will take place between Indian and US officials, the question that will be raised before Trump is: why countries buying Russian oil were treated differently? Why different standards were applied on India and China?
Trump will be asked what was the justification of leaving out China when he imposed additional tariff on India for buying Russian oil?
American trade experts feel that 50 pc tariff cannot be a long-term game. There are internal pressures visible in the Trump administration. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Tuesday that India and the US have good relations, both President Trump and PM Modi have good personal rapport. He has expressed the hope that “at the end of the day”, both countries will resolve their tariff issue soon.

Vote theft : Rahul’s logic does not carry weight

Donald Trump has got a new supporter in India – Rahul Gandhi. Anybody who embarrasses Narendra Modi comes into Rahul’s good books.
At his Muzaffarpur rally in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi broke limits of political decency. He used low-level language about PM Modi. Rahul has been levelling accusations of “vote theft” almost daily, but on Tuesday, he said, Trump gave 12 hours to Modi to enforce ceasefire, but the Indian PM did this within five hours.
Rahul Gandhi also spoke about what he called the “Gujarat model”. He alleged that both PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have been winning elections in Gujarat for the last twenty years with help from the Election Commission.
BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia reacted saying, the words used by Rahul Gandhi for PM Modi reflect the real DNA of Congress. Rahul, he said, is still immature.
It is a fact that the Congress lost three consecutive Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in the last 11 years. But one thing to note, during these 11 years, BJP lost assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Congress has its governments in Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. How can one allege that Modi won all elections through “vote chori” during the last 20 years?
I think Rahul Gandhi is still searching for the correct answer since the last 11 years to the question why Congress loses elections.
Rahul Gandhi never acknowledged that Modi won because of his popularity with the masses. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi used to allege, BJP wins elections with the help of Enforcement Directorate, CBI and Income Tax. But the same agencies were with the Congress-led UPA government for 10 years from 2004 to 2014. And yet, Congress lost Lok Sabha elections badly in 2014.
When this logic didn’t work, Rahul used the “vote chori” accusation for his party’s electoral losses. When Rahul says, Modi wins either by adding more names in voters’ list or by removing names from the list, his argument can only work for his supporters. For the rest of the people of India, this argument is neither logical, nor convincing.
Whenever Election Commission conducts elections, lakhs of teachers, govt servants and political workers are involved in the electoral process. Anybody using illegal means to make somebody win or lose can be caught immediately. So, questioning the entire electoral process by making Election Commission the scapegoat, will not carry any weight.
