A politically unstable America is not in the interest of world peace and security
The whole world is witnessing a photo-finish contest between the two US presidential contenders – Donald Trump and Joe Biden – with chances of scales tilting in Biden’s favour. Till now, Democratic candidate Joe Biden has won 264 electoral college seats, requiring six more to touch the magical mark of 270. President Donald Trump has won 214 electoral college seats till now. For the last three days, the people of America have been eagerly waiting for the final result of the Presidential election, which has now been bogged in disputes over counting of mail-in ballots.
The fight is now so close that most of the US media networks are holding back from projecting the clear winner until the last votes are tallied. The final results are expected from four key states – Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Except Nevada, Trump is marginally ahead in the remaining three states, but a win in any one of the state will help Biden touch the winning mark.
Till now, Joe Biden has garnered 50.5 per cent of the total votes, while Trump has got 47.9 per cent of votes, but votes do not count much in the Presidential sweepstakes. Electoral college seats count. In the last 24 hours, Biden has won the key states of Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and New Hampshire, while President Trump has won the states of Florida, Texas, Iowa and Ohio.
On Thursday, Trump reiterated his allegation that Democrats were “trying to steal” the election. He claimed that he would win if “legal votes were counted”. Trump alleged that the ballot counting process was unfair and corrupt.
Trump claimed: “If you count the legal vote, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us”. Trump gave a clear hint that the final result will come from “the highest court of the land” (Supreme Court).
Trump tweeted: “I easily WIN the Presidency of the United States WITH LEGAL VOTES CAST. The OBSERVERS were not allowed, in any way, shape or form, to do their job, and therefore, votes accepted during this period must be determined to be ILLEGAL VOTES. U.S. Supreme Court should decide!”
Earlier in the day, Joe Biden told his supporters to “keep the faith”. He said, “no one is going to take our democracy away from us. Not now, not ever…..The people will not be silenced, be bullied or surrender. Every vote must be counted.”
Supporters of Biden and Trump are already out on the streets of America. There seems to be a clear divide that is cutting across the nation. Trump’s supporters have challenged the results from Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania. While legal experts say that the counting process normal takes a long time to complete, Trump and his supporters appear to be impatient.
In New York, thousands of supporters of Biden took to the streets to stage protest demanding counting of all votes. At Fifth Avenue, these supporters chanted anti-Trump slogans. Some of the supporters tried to set tyres, plyboard and banners on fire, but were prevented by security forces. In Portland, violence erupted and the Governor of Oregon had to call in National Guards to control the situation. Shops were set on fire and there were clashes between supporters of Trump and Biden. In Seattle, Black Lives Matter supporters came out on the streets and chanted anti-Trump slogans.
Looking at the overall picture, it appears that Biden is set to win the presidential election, despite legal hurdles being set up by Trump and his supporters. Even if Biden wins the election, there is clear possibility of violence taking place on the streets between rival groups.
The United States of America today appears to have become the Divided States of America. This is not a welcome proposition on any count, even as a worried world keeps a close watch on the developments. A politically unstable USA is not in the interest of world peace and security. With the matter reaching the US Supreme Court, it seems that uncertainties will persist and this does not augur well for the rest of the world.
इस्लामी आतंक के खिलाफ मिलकर कार्रवाई करें दुनिया के देश
फ्रांस में निर्दोष लोगों पर इस्लामिक कट्टरपंथियों द्वारा किए गए निर्मम आतंकी हमलों के कुछ ही घंटों बाद ऑस्ट्रिया की राजधानी वियना से भी कुछ ऐसी ही खबरें सामने आईं। खुद को कुख्यात आतंकी संगठन इस्लामिक स्टेट का हमदर्द बताने वाले मैसिडोनिया निवासी एक कट्टरपंथी ने सोमवार की शाम वियना में एक सिनेगॉग (यहूदियों की इबादतगाह) के पास लोगों पर हमला किया।
कुत्जिम फेजुलाई नाम के एक 20 वर्षीय युवक ने, जिसने कुछ वक्त जेल में भी गुजारा था, अपनी कलाशनिकोव राइफल से वियना के एक व्यस्त इलाके में अंधाधुंध फायरिंग करके 4 लोगों को मौत की नींद सुला दिया। इसके बाद सुरक्षा कर्मियों ने तुरंत ऐक्शन लेते हुए फेजुलाई को मार गिराया। मंगलवार को इस्लामिक स्टेट ने अपनी न्यूज एजेंसी अमाक के जरिए इन आतंकी हमलों की जिम्मेदारी ली और फेजुलाई को अबू दग्नाह अल-अल्बानी का नाम दिया। इस्लामिक स्टेट ने हमलावर को ‘खिलाफत का एक सिपाही’ करार दिया।
ऑस्ट्रिया के चांसलर सेबेस्टियन कुर्ज ने इसे ‘राजनीतिक इस्लाम’ का नाम देते हुए यूरोपियन यूनियन से इससे निपटने के लिए संयुक्त तौर पर कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह कट्टरपंथी इस्लामिक विचारधारा यूरोपीय जीवन पद्धति के मॉडल के लिए एक खतरे के रूप में सामने आई है। पड़ोसी देश स्विट्जरलैंड की पुलिस ने इस हमले के सिलसिले में 2 लोगों को पकड़ा है।
अपने शो ‘आज की बात’ में हमने दिखाया था कि कैसे आतंकवादी ने पहले 2 व्यक्तियों पर गोलियां बरसाईं। इसी बीच उनमें से एक शख्स मदद के लिए रोते हुए जमीन पर लेट गया, लेकिन फिर भी आतंकी का दिल नहीं पसीजा। वह वापस आया और बेरहमी से उसके जिस्म में गोलियां उतार दीं। इस निर्मम हत्या की जितनी निंदा की जाए कम है। इस आतंकी हमले में एक वेट्रेस, एक युवा राहगीर, एक महिला और एक बुजर्ग शख्स, कुल 4 मासूम लोग मारे गए।
इस आतंकी हमले के विजुअल्स देखकर 12 साल पहले 26/11 को हुए मुंबई आतंकवादी हमलों की भयावह यादें ताजा हो गईं। उस दिन पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों ने भारत की वित्तीय राजधानी में भारी तबाही मचाई थी। वियना को दुनिया की ‘म्यूजिक कैपिटल’ के रूप में जाना जाता है। यहां के नागरिक शांति प्रिय माने जाते हैं और इस शांत शहर में इसके पहले शायद की कभी कोई आतंकी हमला हुआ हो। किसी भी ऑस्ट्रियाई को ऐसे आतंकी हमले का कभी सपने में भी गुमान नहीं हुआ होगा। मैं कई बार वियना गया हूं और यहां के मिलनसार लोगों को देखकर मुझे हमेशा अच्छा लगा है। वियना हमेशा इस बात पर गर्व करता रहा है कि वह अपने नागरिकों को शानदार जीवन स्तर देने के मामले में दुनिया के सबसे अच्छे शहरों में से एक है।
ऑस्ट्रियाई सुरक्षा बलों ने अब तक वियना और उसके आसपास की 18 जगहों पर छापा मारा है और इन हमलों के सिलसिले में कुल 14 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया है। पुलिस को अभी भी बंदूकधारी के संभावित साथियों की तलाश है। पुलिस ने कहा कि आतंकी ने एक फेक टेररिस्ट बेल्ट पहना था और उसने अपने कंप्यूटर एक तस्वीर पोस्ट की थी जिसमें वह एक ऑटोमैटिक राइफल और खंजर लिए हुए था। तस्वीर में नजर आए इन हथियारों का इस्तेमाल हमले के दौरान किया गया था।
ऑस्ट्रिया लिविंग स्टैंडर्ड के मामले में दुनिया के 20 सबसे अच्छे देशों में शामिल है। यह प्रति व्यक्ति आय के मामले में दुनिया में सबसे आगे रहने वाले मुल्कों में है। कूटनीतिक संबंधों पर विएना कन्वेंशन, जिसे 1961 में हस्ताक्षरित किया गया था, सभी सदस्य देशों के राजनयिकों को प्रतिरक्षा प्रदान करता है। जिस मुल्क का नाम दुनिया भर में ह्यूमन राइट्स के मामले में लिया जाता है, अब उस देश में इस्लामिक आतंकवाद ने दस्तक दी है। इस आतंकी हमले को लेकर पूरी दुनिया में नाराजगी है।
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने ट्वीट में हमले की निंदा करते हुए कहा, ‘वियना में कायराना आतंकी हमले से स्तब्ध और दुखी हूं। इस घड़ी में भारत, ऑस्ट्रिया के साथ खड़ा है। मेरी संवेदनाएं पीड़ितों और उनके परिजनों के साथ हैं।’
फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रॉन ने कहा कि उनका देश ‘ऑस्ट्रिया के लोगों के सदमे और दुःख को साझा करता है, यह हमारा यूरोप है। हमारे दुश्मनों को पता होना चाहिए कि वे किसके साथ डील कर रहे हैं। हम हार नहीं मानेंगे।’ सोमवार को अफ्रीका के माली में फ्रांसीसी वायु सेना के मिराज लड़ाकू विमानों ने हवाई हमलों में अलकायदा के 50 से ज्यादा आतंकी मार गिराए। बुर्किना फासो और नाइजर की सरहद पर फ्रांसीसी मिसाइलों ने मोटरसाइकिलों के काफिले में जा रहे इन जिहादियों पर हमला किया था।
फ्रांस ने पिछले एक सप्ताह में कई इस्लामी आतंकी हमलों का सामना किया है। इन हमलों में 2 लोगों की बेरहमी से सिर कलम करने की घटनाएं भी शामिल हैं। फ्रांसीसी सरकार इस्लामी आतंक को इसके सभी रूपों में कुचलने का संकल्प कर चुकी है, और सुदूर माली में हम इसकी बानगी देख भी चुके हैं।
यह देखकर अच्छा लग रहा है कि दुनिया के नेता अब इस्लामिक आतंक को विश्व शांति के लिए गंभीर खतरा मान रहे हैं। फ्रांसीसी सेना द्वारा किए गए हवाई हमले पाकिस्तान के बालाकोट में भारतीय वायुसेना के हवाई हमलों की याद दिलाते हैं। इन हमलों में भारतीय वायुसेना ने आतंकी ठिकानों को तबाह कर दिया था। इसका श्रेय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को जाता है, जिन्होंने कश्मीर में पाकिस्तान प्रशिक्षित आतंकवादियों का सफाया करने के लिए पहले नियंत्रण रेखा के पार सर्जिकल स्ट्राइक का आदेश दिया और फिर पुलवामा आतंकी हमले के बाद एयरस्ट्राइक का आदेश दिया। अब वक्त आ गया है कि दुनिया के नेता इस्लामी जिहादी आतंकवाद के खात्मे के लिए हाथ मिला लें।
World must unite to fight Islamic terror
Even as Islamic bigots were carrying out dastardly terror attacks on innocent people in France, another bigot from Macedonia, claiming himself to be an Islamic State sympathizer, attacked people near a synagogue in Vienna, the Austrian capital on Monday evening.
Twenty-year-old Kujtim Fejzulai , who had spent time in prison, opened fire from his Kalashnikov rifle in a busy area of Vienna, killing four innocent persons before he was shot by security forces. On Tuesday, the Islamic State news agency Amaq claimed responsibility for the terror attack and named him Abu Dagnah Al-Albany. The IS described him as a “soldier of the Caliphate.”
The Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz has called on the European Union to prepare a joint response to tackle what he called ‘political Islam’. He said, this radical Islamic ideology represented a danger to the model of the European way of life. Neighbouring Switzerland police has picked up two persons in connection with this attack.
In my show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, we showed how the terrorist first fired at two persons, and even as one of them lay on the ground crying for help, the terrorist came back and shot him in cold blood. This gruesome murder is condemnable. Those four innocents killed included a waitress, a young passerby and an old man and woman.
Visuals of this terror attack have made us recall the horrors of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks 12 years ago, when Pakistani terrorists caused mayhem in India’s financial capital. Vienna is famous as the music capital of the world, its citizens are peace loving and there has rarely been any terror attack in this quiet city. No Austrian could ever dream of such a horrendous attack by a terrorist. I have been to Vienna several times and had marveled at the way of life of its peaceful citizens. Vienna prides on having the best quality of life among the world’s top cities.
Till now, Austrian security forces have raided 18 locations in and around Vienna and have detained 14 persons in connection with this carnage. Police are looking for possible accomplices of the gunman. Police said, the terrorist was wearing a fake terrorist belt, and on his computer, he had posted his photograph carrying an automatic rifle and a machete, that were used during the attack.
Austria is among the twenty top countries of the world where the standard of living is very high, in terms of per capita income. The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, signed in 1961, provides immunity to diplomats in all member countries. Austria is one of the cradles of universal human rights and now Islamic terrorism has struck in that country. This terror attack has caused worldwide outrage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the attack in his tweet: “Deeply shocked and saddened by the dastardly terror attacks in Vienna. India stands with Austria during this tragic time. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
The French President Emmanuel Macron has said, his country “shares the shock and grief of the Austrian people…This is our Europe. Our enemies must know who they are dealing with. We will not give up.” On Monday, French air force Mirage jet fighters in Mali, Africa, carried out air strikes killing more than 50 Al Qaeda terrorists. The jihadis were going in a motorbike convoy when they were attacked by French missiles on the border of Burkina Faso and Niger.
France has faced several Islamic terror attacks in the last one week, including the brutal beheadings of two persons. The French government is now determined to crush Islamic terror in all its forms, and it has struck in faraway Mali.
It is heartening to find that world leaders have now accepted Islamic terror as a grave threat to world peace. The air strikes by the French army is reminiscent of Indian air force’s air strike in Balakot, Pakistan, where terror hideouts were wiped out. The credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who first ordered surgical strikes across the Line of Control to wipe out Pakistan trained terrorists in Kashmir, and then ordered the air strike after the Pulwama terror attack. It’s time that world leaders joined hands to stamp out Islamic jihadi terrorism.
पाकिस्तान का दोहरा चरित्र: हिंदुओं और मंदिरों पर हमले
कराची के भीमपुरा इलाके में रविवार रात मुस्लिम कट्टरपंथियों की भीड़ ने शीतल मंदिर पर हमला कर दिया और तोड़फोड़ की। भीड़ में शामिल लोगों ने भगवान शिव और गणेश की मूर्तियां खंडित कर दी। देखते ही देखते कुछ मिनटों के भीतर पूरा पूजा स्थल मलबे में तब्दील हो गया। मंदिर में तोड़फोड़ पूरी साजिश के तहत की गई। भीड़ ने पहले इसी इलाके में फ्रांस में हुई घटना के विरोध में प्रदर्शन किया, इसके बाद कुछ लोगों ने एक हिन्दू बच्चे पर ईशनिंदा का आरोप लगा दिया और भीड़ को उकसाया। थोड़ी ही देर के बाद तोड़फोड़ शुरू हो गई। भीड़ ने इस प्राचीन मंदिर पर हमला बोल दिया। मूर्तियों को खंडित कर बाहर फेंक दिया। बाद में पता चला कि ईशनिंदा जैसी कोई बात नहीं है। कुछ लोगों ने झूठी अफवाह फैलाई थी।
जब बात फैली तो कराची में रहने वाले हिंदू भी इकट्ठे हुए और प्राचीन मंदिर में तोड़फोड़ के विरोध में ल्यारी इलाके में पहुंच कर प्रशासन और पुलिस से सुरक्षा की मांग की। लेकिन उसी वक्त वहां कुछ गुंडे पहुंच गए और पुलिस की मौजूदगी में प्रदर्शनकारियों को धमकाने लगे। गंभीर नतीजे भुगतने की धमकी देने लगे।
पाकिस्तान में हिन्दुओं पर जुल्म और मंदिरों को तोड़ने की ये अकेली घटना नहीं है। पिछले 20 दिनों में मंदिर तोड़े जाने की ये तीसरी घटना है। इससे पहले पाकिस्तान के सिंध प्रांत में दो मंदिरों को तोड़ा गया। यहां भी वही हुआ जो पाकिस्तान में मंदिरों पर हर हमले के वक्त होता है। कुछ लोग आए और इस्लाम की तौहीन का इल्जाम लगाया, भीड़ जुटाई और मंदिर पर हमला कर दिया। सिंध में भी भीड़ ने मंदिर में रखी मूर्तियों को तोड़ दिया। मंदिर को भी नुकसान पहुंचाया गया। हिंदुओं की शिकायत के बाद पुलिस ने इस मामले में एफआईआर दर्ज की है और जांच की बात कह रही है। लेकिन किसी के खिलाफ कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है। इसके अलावा सिंध प्रांत के थारपारकर जिले में भी मंदिर में तोड़फोड़ की गई थी। कट्टरपंथियों ने मंदिर में रखी दुर्गा माता की मूर्ति को खंडित कर दिया था। लेकिन अभी तक किसी मामले में पुलिस ने कोई एक्शन नहीं लिया है।
पाकिस्तान सरकार अपने यहां अल्पसंख्यकों की रक्षा कर पाने में बुरी तरह नाकाम रही है। यहां के राष्ट्रीय अल्पसंख्यक आयोग में सदस्य के तौर पर एक भी अल्पसंख्यक नहीं है। पाकिस्तान में हिंदू, सिख, शिया, अहमदिया और ईसाई अल्पसंख्यक डरे हुए हैं। पुलिस की तरफ से भी उन्हे सुरक्षा मुहैया नहीं कराई जा रही है। पिछले एक साल में सिखों, हिंदुओं और ईसाइयों के जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन, हिंदू लड़कियों का अपहरण और जबरन शादी, धार्मिक स्थलों पर हमले के कई मामले सामने आए हैं। देश के बंटवारे के समय सिंध प्रांत में 428 हिंदू मंदिर थे। पाकिस्तानी मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ताओं का कहना है कि यह संख्या अब घटकर केवल 20 रह गई है।
इसी साल अगस्त महीने में कराची के ल्यारी इलाके में एक निर्माण स्थल पर पाकिस्तान के एक बिल्डर ने 1947 से पहले के एक पुराने हनुमान मंदिर को खुलेआम ध्वस्त कर दिया। बिल्डर ने कोरोना की वजह से देशव्यापी लॉकडाउन का फायदा उठाते हुए यह दावा किया कि चूंकि इस मंदिर में कोई श्रद्धालु नहीं आता था इसलिए उसने मंदिर ध्वस्त करने का फैसला किया। वहीं जुलाई में इस्लामाबाद में धार्मिक कट्टरपंथियों ने निर्माणाधीन श्री कृष्ण मंदिर की चारदीवारी को ढहा दिया। उनका कहना था कि इस्लामिक देश की राजधानी में मंदिर के निर्माण की क्या ज़रूरत है।
पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान पूरी दुनिया में शोर मचा कर कहते फिरते हैं कि भारत में मुसलमानों के साथ बुरा सलूक होता है। इमरान अपने देश में अल्पसंख्यकों को संरक्षण देने का दावा करते हैं। इमरान कहते हैं कि वे दुनिया में अमन के चीयर लीडर बनेंगे। दुनिया को दिखाएंगे कि कैसे पाकिस्तान में सभी मजहबों के लोगों का सम्मान होता है। सभी को अपने मजहब के हिसाब से जीने की पूरी आजादी है। लेकिन इमरान खान की बातें झूठी साबित हुई। सिंध में हाल ही में भील और मेघवाल समुदायों के हिन्दुओं के घरों को भीड़ ने जला दिया। सिंध में सितंबर महीने में भील समुदाय के 171 हिंदुओं का जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन किया गया। उन्हें इस्लाम अपनाने के लिए मजबूर कर दिया गया।
पाकिस्तान में हिन्दू, सिख और ईसाई लड़कियों का अपहरण किया जाता है और उनसे जबरन इस्लाम कबूल करवा कर किसी मुस्लिम शख्स से उनकी शादी करा दी जाती है। मैं इस तरह के धार्मिक उत्पीड़न की ताजा घटना के बारे में बताता हूं। पिछले दिनों 13 साल की ईसाई बच्ची को अगवा कर लिया गया। माता-पिता पुलिस के पास गए लेकिन कुछ नहीं हुआ। फिर इन लोगों ने अदालत का दरवाजा खटखटाया। अदालत में सुनवाई हुई तो कोर्ट में बच्ची का वीडियो दिखाया गया। बताया गया कि लड़की ने अपनी मर्जी से इस्लाम कबूल कर लिया है और लड़की अब अपने शौहर के साथ है। अदालत ने बच्ची को माता-पिता के हाथों में सौंपने के बजाए उसे 44 साल के उस शख्स के हवाले करने का आदेश दिया जिसके साथ उसकी शादी का दावा किया गया। किसी माता-पिता पर इससे बड़ा जुल्म क्या हो सकता है? एक 13 साल की बच्ची के साथ इससे ज्यादा नाइंसाफी क्या हो सकती है? लेकिन इमरान खान इस पर कुछ नहीं बोलेंगे। फ्रांस में इस्लामिक आतंकवाद के खिलाफ हो रहे एक्शन पर बहुत उन्हें एतराज है और वो उसकी पुरजोर निन्दा करने की बात कहते हैं।
सोचने वाली बात ये है कि फ्रांस में जो हुआ उससे हिन्दुओं का क्या लेना-देना? फ्रांस में पैगम्बर मोहम्मद साहब का कार्टून बनाने पर विवाद हो रहा है और हिंसा हो रही है। वहां हिंसा करने के वालों के खिलाफ फ्रांस की सरकार एक्शन ले रही है, इससे पाकिस्तान के मुसलमान नाराज हैं और इसका बदला पाकिस्तान में गिने-चुने बचे हिन्दुओं से लिया जा रहा है। पाकिस्तान में मंदिर तोड़े जा रहे हैं, सिखों और ईसाइयों को निशाना बनाया जा रहा है।
उधर पड़ोसी देश बांग्लादेश के कोमिला जिले के मुरादनगर के पास कुर्बानपुर गांव में कट्टरपंथियों की भीड़ ने रविवार को 10 हिंदू परिवार के घरों में तोड़फोड़ की। कट्टरपंथियों की भीड़ ने तोड़फोड़ करने के बाद घरों में आग लगा दी। हमले की वजह सुनेंगे तो हैरान रह जाएंगे। पता चला कि हमले से पहले ये अफवाह फैलाई गई कि फ्रांस में राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों की तरफ से इस्लामिक आतंकवाद के खिलाफ जो एक्शन हो रहा है उसकी तारीफ करते हुए एक बांग्लादेशी युवक ने फेसबुक पर एक पोस्ट लिखी। इस पोस्ट पर हिन्दू युवक ने कमेंट किया । ये अफवाह तेजी से फैली। भीड़ जुटी और हिन्दू बस्ती में आगजनी और तोड़फोड़ शुरू कर दी। इससे भी ज्यादा हैरानी की बात ये है कि भीड़ ने जिन लोगों के घरों पर हमला किया, जिन लोगों के घर जला दिए, पुलिस ने उन्ही लोगों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया। दो लोगों को धार्मिक भावनाएं आहत करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया जिसमें एक स्कूल हेडमास्टर भी शामिल है।
इस घटना को लेकर फैली नाराजगी के बाद बांग्लादेश के गृह मंत्री ने दावा किया कि आगजनी और दंगा करने के आरोप में पांच लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया है। हालात को नियंत्रण में रखने के लिए कुर्बानपुर और आंदिकोट गांवों में पुलिस तैनात की गई है।
हाल के दिनों में बांग्लादेश में इस्लामिक कट्टरवाद तेजी से फैला है। यहां पुलिस-प्रशासन को धर्म के नाम पर आगजनी और तोड़फोड़ में लिप्त होने वालों से सख्ती से निपटना चाहिए। हालांकि हज़रत मोहम्मद साहब को लेकर फ्रांस में जो हुआ, उन्हें मानने वालों की भावनाओं को जो ठेस पहुंचायी गई वो गलत है, ऐसा नहीं होना चाहिए। ये तो इसलाम भी नहीं सिखाता कि किसी की हत्या की जाए। कोई धर्म नहीं सिखाता कि किसी इंसान की हत्या कर दूसरे धर्म के लोगों को निशाना बनाया जाए। पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश में अल्पसंख्यकों पर जुल्म कर इस्लामिक जिहादी इस मुद्दे का फायदा उठाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। इस तरह की चालों को सफल होने से रोकना होगा। पाकिस्तान और बांग्लादेश में अल्पसंख्यकों पर हमला करने वाले के खिलाफ पूरी दुनिया को आवाज उठानी चाहिए।
Double Faced Pakistan: Attacks on Hindus and Temples
A huge mob of Muslim bigots attacked the Sheetal temple in Bhimpura area of Karachi on Sunday night, vandalized the premises, broke idols of Hindu gods Lord Shiva and Ganesh, and within minutes turned the place of worship into a wreck. The immediate provocation: there was a rumour that a Hindu boy had committed blasphemy. An anti-France protest by Muslims was going on in the locality when this rumour spread. Soon the crowd turned its attention towards the Hindus, attacked the ancient temple, broke the idols and threw them outside. It was later found that the rumour was baseless.
When local Hindus in Karachi lodged protests and gave statements to the police, some of the vandals roughed them up in the presence of police and threatened them with dire consequences.
This was the third act of desecration of Hindu temples in Pakistan in the last 20 days. Both the earlier attacks on Hindu temples took place in Sindh province. The pattern was the same. First, some local Muslims alleged Hindus of committing blasphemy and then vandalized the temples. Though local police registered FIR, no action was taken against the vandals.
Pakistan government has terribly failed in protecting its minorities. It does not even have a minority member in its National Minority Commission. Hindu, Sikh, Shia, Ahmediya and Christian minorities in Pakistan are living in a state of fear with no protection being provided by police. In the last one year, there have been several cases of forcible conversion of Sikhs, Hindus and Christians, forcible abduction and marriage of Hindu girls, and attacks on places of worship. During Partition, there were 428 Hindu temples in Sindh province. This number has now dwindled to only 20, say Pakistani human rights activists.
In August this year, a Pakistani builder openly demolished a pre-1947 era Hanuman temple in Lyari locality of Karachi at a construction site. The builder took advantage of the nationwide lockdown due to Covid, and claimed that since no one was visiting the temple, he decided to demolish it. In Islamabad, in July, religious bigots razed the boundary wall of a Sri Krishna temple under construction. They were objecting to the construction of a temple in the capital of the Islamic state.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been shouting hoarse about treatment of Indian Muslims, had been claiming that minorities in his country are being given protection. His claim is a white lie. Recently, houses of Bheel and Meghwal communities in Sindh were set on fire by Muslim mobs. In September, 171 Hindus from Bheel community were forcibly converted into Islam in Sindh province.
Let me cite one clear case of religious persecution. A 13-year-old Christian girl was abducted by some Muslims. Her parents approached the police which turned a deaf ear. They approached the court. The defendants produced a video in court to “prove” that the girl converted to Islam of her own free will, and she has married a 44-year-old Muslim. On Tuesday, the court, instead of handing over the girl to her parents, directed that the girl should be allowed to stay with her husband who was more than thrice her age.
This is nothing but a travesty of justice. Imran Khan will never speak about such atrocities in his country, but he would surely raise his voice against what he calls “Islamophobia” in France and other European countries. The question is: why are Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in Pakistan targeted to exact revenge against whatever his happening in faraway France?
In neighbouring Bangladesh, in a shocking case of bigotry, a Muslim mob attacked the homes of 10 Hindu families in Kurbanpur village near Muradnagar in Comilla district on Sunday. The reason: a Bangladeshi man, living in France, had praised President Emmanuel Macron’s action against jihadis in his country after the brutal beheadings of two persons. Bangladesh police arrested two Hindus, including a school headmaster, on charge of liking the Facebook post of the man. They were charged of “hurting religious sentiments”. The houses of both the Hindus arrested by police were also set on fire.
After there was outrage over this incident, Bangladesh Home Minister claimed that five persons have been detained on charge of arson and rioting. Police have been deployed in Kurbanpur and Andikot villages to prevent the situation going out of control.
In recent years, Bangladesh has been witnessing spread of Islamic fundamentalism. Law enforcing agencies in the country must deal sternly with mobs that indulge in arson in the name of religion. The denigration of Prophet Mohammed by displaying his cartoon is condemnable, but this does not mean that wanton acts of beheadings and stabbings by Islamic jehadists must be supported. These are attacks on humanity which must not be condoned. All of us should be concerned over how Islamic jihadists are trying to take advantage of the issue to settle scores with minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Such moves must be nipped in the bud. The world must speak out against bigots attacking minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
मुस्लिमों को फ्रांस में जिहादियों द्वारा सिर कलम करने की घटना की निंदा क्यों करनी चाहिए
शुक्रवार को जुमे की नमाज के बाद फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रों के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन में भारत के हजारों मुसलमानों ने हिस्सा लिया। अपनी नाराजगी जाहिर करते हुए उन्होंने मैक्रों के पोस्टर पर जूते बरसाए, उनकी तस्वीर को जूतों से पीटा। दरअसल, फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति ने उन इस्लामिक जिहादियों के खिलाफ बयान दिया था जिन्होंने फ्रांस में चाकू से हमला कर 2 लोगों का सिर कलम कर दिया था और कई अन्य को घायल कर दिया था। ये हमले पैगंबर मोहम्मद के कार्टून के विरोध में किए गए थे।
जुमे की नमाज के बाद मुख्य रूप से भोपाल, मुंबई और हैदराबाद में बड़ी संख्या में लोग सड़कों पर उतर पड़े। ताज्जुब तो तब हुआ जब गुरुवार की रात 10 बजे के आसपास भोपाल के इकबाल मैदान में हजारों लोगों की भीड़ इकट्ठा हो गई। कोरोना के वक्त में अचानक इतनी बड़ी संख्या में लोगों का एक जगह इकट्ठे होना चिंता की बात है। कांग्रेस के स्थानीय विधायक आरिफ मसूद ने पूरी प्लानिंग के तहत भीड़ जुटाई। ऐसी बातें फैलाई गईं कि फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति ने इस्लाम की तौहीन की है, पैगंबर साहब का अपमान किया है, इसका विरोध करना होगा। लेकिन हकीकत में ऐसा कुछ नहीं था। मैक्रों ने इस्लामिक जिहादियों के खिलाफ सख्त रुख अपनाया था, जो पैगंबर के सम्मान की रक्षा के नाम पर निर्दोष लोगों का सिर कलम कर रहे थे।
भोपाल में इस विरोध-प्रदर्शन की तैयारी कांग्रेस विधायक ने पहले ही शुरू कर दी थी। फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इम्यैनुएल मैक्रों के फोटो छपवाए गए, फ्रांस के झंडे बांटे गए। तकरीर के लिए मंच भी तैयार किया गया। लाउडस्पीकर से अनाउंसमेंट हुआ और लोगों को विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए बुलाया गया। पूरा ड्रामा प्री-प्लांड था और इरादा भी साफ था। एक ऐसे मुद्दे पर मुस्लिमों की भावनाओं को भड़काना जिसका भारत से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। मंच पर भोपाल के शहर काजी मुस्ताक अहमद नदवी ने भड़काऊ भाषण देते हुए लोगों से पैगंबर की शान में गुस्ताखी करने वालों से बदला लेने को कहा। भीड़ को संबोधित करने के लिए कई मुस्लिम नेताओं और मौलानाओं को भी आमंत्रित किया गया था।
इसके तुरंत बाद आरिफ मसूद ने एक और भड़काऊ भाषण दिया और मुसलमानों को बदला लेने के लिए भड़काया। मसूद ने इस मुद्दे पर भारत सरकार के खिलाफ जहर उगला। मध्य प्रदेश की 28 विधानसभा सीटों के वोटर 3 नवंबर को हो रहे चुनाव में अपना वोट डालने जाएंगे, और मसूद ने वोट के लिए इस मुद्दे को सांप्रदायिक रंग देने की कोशिश की। शुक्रवार को भी भोपाल के इकबाल मैदान में लोगों की भारी भीड़ जुटी और इसने मैक्रों विरोधी नारे लगाते हुए फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति के पोस्टर्स को अपने कदमों तले रौंदा। मजेदार बात यह है कि इनमें से अधिकांश प्रदर्शनकारियों को यह पता भी नहीं था कि मैक्रों कौन हैं और उन्होंने क्या बयान दिया था। उनका कहना था कि मस्जिद की तकरीर में मौलवी साहब ने कहा है कि फ्रांस में उनके प्यारे नबी का अपमान हुआ है, और वे उन्हीं की बात मानकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं।
मुंबई के मुस्लिम बहुल इलाके भिंडी बाज़ार में एक स्थानीय संगठन रज़ा अकादमी ने ऐसे पोस्टर चिपकाए जिनमें लिखा था कि फ्रांसीसी राष्ट्रपति ने पैगंबर का अपमान किया है और मुसलमानों को इसका बदला लेना होगा। स्थानीय पुलिस ने समय पर कार्रवाई की और इन पोस्टरों को हटा दिया, लेकिन जुमे की नमाज के बाद भीड़ मैक्रों विरोधी नारे लगाने के लिए इकट्ठा हो गई। मुंबई में भी अधिकांश प्रदर्शनकारियों को यह पता नहीं था कि मैक्रों हैं कौन।
आइए एक बार फिर से जानते हैं कि वाकई में हुआ क्या था। फ्रांस में एक टीचर ने पैगंबर मुहम्मद के एक आपत्तिजनक कार्टून को अपनी क्लास के छात्रों को दिखाया था, जिसके बाद चेचेन्या के एक युवक ने उसका सिर कलम कर दिया। पूरा फ्रांस अपने इस टीचर के साथ खड़ा हो गया, और राष्ट्रपति मैक्रों ने इस घटना को ‘इस्लामी आतंकवादी हमला’ कहते हुए इसकी कड़ी निंदा की। इसके कुछ ही दिन बाद एक ट्यूनीशियाई शख्स फ्रांस के नीस शहर के एक चर्च में घुसा और उसने ‘अल्लाहू अकबर’ का नारा लगाते हुए एक महिला का सिर कलम कर दिया और 2 अन्य की चाकू घोंपकर हत्या कर दी। बाद में गोली लगने से वह गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया। नीस के मेयर ने इसा घटना को ‘इस्लामो-फासिज्म’ करार दिया, जबकि मैक्रों ने कहा कि फ्रांस कभी भी इस तरह के आतंकी हमलों के सामने अपने मूल मूल्यों का आत्मसमर्पण नहीं करेगा। यहां इस बात पर ध्यान देना होगा कि सभी यूरोपिय देशों में फ्रांस में सबसे ज्यादा मुसलमान हैं।
मैक्रों ने कहा, ‘अगर हम पर फिर से हमला होता है तो यह हमारे मूल्यों के प्रति संकल्प, स्वतंत्रता को लेकर हमारी प्रतिबद्धता और आतंकवाद के सामने नहीं झुकने की वजह से होगा। मैं एक बार फिर साफ-साफ कहता हूं, हम किसी भी चीज़ के सामने नहीं झुकेंगे।’ अपने इस बयान में मैक्रों ने कहीं भी ऐसी कोई बात नहीं की जिसे पैगंबर का अपमान कहा जा सके। उन्होंने केवल हर फ्रांसीसी नागरिक की धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता के बारे में बात की थी और इस्लामिक आतंकवाद की निंदा की थी। आतंकी हमलों को रोकने के लिए फ्रांस ने अब सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर 7,000 से ज्यादा सैनिकों को तैनात किया है।
मैक्रों के बयान पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए कई इस्लामिक देशों ने, जिनकी अगुवाई खासतौर पर तुर्की कर रहा है, फ्रांस में बने सभी उत्पादों का बहिष्कार करने का आह्वान किया है। शुक्रवार को कई इस्लामिक देशों में मैक्रों के खिलाफ विरोध प्रदर्शन हुए। भारत की तरफ से प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘मैं आज नीस में चर्च के भीतर हुए नृशंस हमले समेत फ्रांस में हुए हालिया आतंकी हमलों की कड़ी निंदा करता हूं। पीड़ितों के परिजनों और फ्रांस के लोगों के प्रति हमारी गहरी संवेदना है। भारत आतंकवाद के खिलाफ लड़ाई में फ्रांस के साथ खड़ा है।’
मेरा सवाल यह है कि फ्रांस के किसी टीचर ने कोई विवादित पोस्टर दिखाया तो इससे भारतीय मुसलमानों का क्या लेना-देना है? जिहादी हमला केवल फ्रांस या यूरोप के लिए चिंता का विषय नहीं है। पूरी दुनिया ही इस्लामिक आतंकवाद से चिंतित है, और प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने आतंकवाद के खिलाफ लड़ाई में फ्रांस के साथ एकजुटता व्यक्त करके सही काम किया है। 2015 में फ्रांसीसी पत्रिका चार्ली हेब्दो के कई पत्रकारों को इस्लामिक जिहादियों ने मौत के घाट उतार दिया था, और भारत ने उस हमले की भी निंदा की थी। फ्रांस में इस हफ्ते हुई चाकूबाजी और सिर कलम करने की घटनाओं की कड़ी से कड़ी निंदा होनी चाहिए, लेकिन इस तस्वीर का एक दूसरा पहलू भी है।
अगर पैगंबर मोहम्मद साहब की फोटो दिखाने से, जिन्हें वे अपना ‘नबी’ कहते हैं, मुसलमान भाई-बहनों की आस्था को चोट पहुंचती है, तो ऐसा काम कतई नहीं होना चाहिए। उनकी भावनाओं का सम्मान होना चाहिए, इससे बोलने की आजादी खत्म नहीं हो जाती। कुरान भी ये कहता है और बाइबिल में भी ये लिखा है कि किसी का दिल दुखाना अन्याय है, लेकिन में मुसलमान भाई-बहनों से भी अपील करना चाहूंगा कि वे हत्या करने वालों का, सिर कलम करने वाले स्वयंभू जिहादियों का खुलकर विरोध करें। वे ऐसे हत्यारों को किसी भी तरह का परोक्ष या प्रत्यक्ष समर्थन न दें, क्योंकि कुरान में ये कहा गया है कि एक भी इंसान की हत्या पूरी इंसानियत की हत्या है। जीसस क्राइस्ट और मोहम्मद साहब, दोनों का संदेश यही है कि धर्म के नाम पर किसी की हत्या करना पाप है, और साथ ही धर्म के नाम पर किसी का दिल दुखाना भी पाप है। इसी पाप से दुनिया को बचाने की जरूरत है।
Why Muslims should condemn beheading by jihadists in France
Tens of thousands of Muslims in India took part in protests against French President Emmanuel Macron after Friday prayers. Hundreds of them beat posters of Macron with shoes to express their resentment. The French President had spoken out against Islamic jihadists who had beheaded at least two people and stabbed several others in his country over blasphemous cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed.
Protests were held mainly in Bhopal, Mumbai and Hyderabad after Friday prayers. The most surprising part was the assembly of several thousand Muslims in Iqbal Maidan of Bhopal on Thursday night, and the main organizer of the crowd was a local Congress MLA Arif Masood. Despite the spread of Covid pandemic, devout Muslims were asked to assemble at night by the local MLA to protest against the French President. The crowd was misled into believing that Macron had insulted the Prophet, but in reality, it was not so. Macron had taken a tough stance against Islamic jihadists who were beheading innocent people in the name of protecting the honour of the Prophet.
The Congress MLA got posters of President Macron printed in advance and, after meticulous planning, invited people through loudspeakers to assemble to register their protest. The entire drama was pre-planned and the intent was obvious: to instigate feelings of Muslim over a non-issue which had no relevance to India. Even French national flags were distributed among the crowd to be trampled upon. A makeshift dais was prepared from where the Qazi of Bhopal Mushtaq Ahmed Nadvi gave inflammatory speech asking the devouts to take revenge against those who had insulted the Prophet. Several Muslim leaders and maulanas were invited to address the gathering.
Soon after, Arif Masood gave another inflammatory speech and asked Muslims to take revenge. Masood even went to the extent of criticizing the Indian government on this issue. With voters in 28 assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh going to polls on November 3, Masood tried to give the issue a communal colour in order to garner votes. On Friday too, the crowd assembled at Bhopal’s Iqbal Maidan and while chanting anti-Macron slogans they trampled upon the posters of the French President. The most funny part was that most of the protesters did not know who Macron was and what he had said. The protesters said they were merely following the call of the maulana who told them that the Prophet had been insulted in France.
In Mumbai’s Muslim-dominated locality Bhindi Bazaar, a local outfit Raza Academy circulated posters alleging that the French President had insulted the Prophet and Muslims should take revenge. Local police took timely action and removed the posters, but after Friday prayers, a crowd congregated to chant anti-Macron slogans. In Mumbai too, most of the protesters did not know who Macron was.
Let us go back to recapitulate what actually happened. In France, a teacher displayed an objectionable cartoon of Prophet Muhammad to his students in class, after which a Chechnyan youth beheaded him. The entire French nation stood one in solidarity with the beheaded teacher, and President Macron led the nation in condemning what he called ‘Islamist terrorist attack.’ Soon after, a Tunisian man went on a stabbing spree inside a church in the city of Nice, beheading a woman and stabbing two others to death while chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’. He was shot and seriously injured. The Mayor of Nice described this as an act of “Islamo-fascism”, while Macron said, France will never surrender its core values in the face of such terror attacks. It must be noted here that among European countries, France has the largest number of Muslims.
Macron said: “If we are attacked once again, it is for the values which are ours: freedom, for the possibility on our soil to believe freely and not to give in to any spirit of terror. I say it with great clarity once again today: we won’t surrender anything.” Nowhere in this statement did Macron make any remark which could be termed as an insult to the Prophet. He had only spoken about the freedom of belief of every French citizen and had condemned Islamist terror. More than 7,000 French soldiers have been deployed at public places to prevent terror attacks.
As a reaction, several Islamic countries, notably led by Turkey, have given a call to boycott all products made in France. On Friday, there were protests against Macron in several Islamic countries. On behalf of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: “I condemn the recent terrorist attacks in France, including today’s heinous attacks in Nice, inside a church. Our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of victims and the people of France. India stands with France in the fight against terrorism.”
My question is: what has the act of a teacher displaying a blasphemous poster in France got anything to do with Indian Muslims? The jihadist attack is not only a matter that concerns France or Europe. The entire world is concerned over Islamic terrorism, and Prime Minister Modi did the right thing in expressing solidarity with France in the fight against terrorism. In 2015, journalists at the French magazine Charlie Hebdo were massacred by Islamic jihadists, and India had condemned that act. The beheadings and stabbings that took place in France this week need to be condemned, but there is another aspect to this issue.
The feelings of a majority of Muslims all over the world have been hurt because of blasphemous cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammed, whom they consider as ‘Nabi’. Their feelings must be given respect, but this does not mean that the freedom of expression must be curbed in totality. The Holy Quran and the Holy Bible advise followers not to hurt the feelings of others, but I would appeal to Muslim brothers and sisters to also condemn the heinous beheadings and killings by self-proclaimed jihadists. They should not extend any direct or indirect support to these killers. The Holy Quran says, even the murder of a single individual is murder of humanity. Both Prophet Mohammed and Jesus Christ have said that killings in the name of religion is a sin, hurting somebody’s feelings in the name of religion is also a sin. Let us save our world from such sins.
पुलवामा, अभिनंदन के राज़ पर पर्दा हटा : पाकिस्तान में मोदी का खौफ है
आखिरकार पुलवामा हमला और विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन की रिहाई का सच सामने आ ही गया, जो अभी तक रहस्य बना हुआ था, जिसके बारे में तरह-तरह की चर्चाएं तो होती थी लेकिन सच्चाई पर भ्रम के बादल छाए हुए थे। पाकिस्तान के नेता अयाज सादिक ने यह खुलासा किया है कि उनका देश भारत से डरता है। पाकिस्तान में मोदी का खौफ़ है। उन्होंने विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन की रिहाई का जिक्र करते हुए कहा कि आर्मी चीफ जनरल कमर जावेद बाजवा इस बात से डर गए थे कि अगर पाकिस्तान ने विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को रिहा नहीं किया तो भारत पाकिस्तान पर उसी रात हमला कर देगा। वहीं दूसरी ओर इमरान के मंत्री फवाद चौधरी ने दावा किया है कि पुलवामा हमले का श्रेय इमरान खान को दिया जाना चाहिए। नेशनल असेंबली में हुए इन दोनों खुलासों ने पाकिस्तान को पूरी तरह से बेनकाब कर दिया है।
सबसे पहले फवाद चौधरी के बयान की बात करते हैं जो पाकिस्तान के साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी मंत्री हैं और इमरान खान के बेहद करीबी माने जाते हैं। जब-जब विपक्ष इमरान पर हमलावर होता है तो फवाद चौधरी अक्सर अपने नेता का बचाव करने उतर जाते हैं। लेकिन गुरुवार को फवाद चौधरी ने उस राज़ पर पर्दा हटाया, उस हकीकत को बयां कर दिया कि 14 फरवरी, 2019 के पुलवामा हमले की योजना किसने बनाई थी, जिसमें सीआरपीएफ के 40 जवान शहीद हो गए थे।
नेशनल असेंबली की बहस में हिस्सा लेते हुए फवाद चौधरी ने कहा-‘हमने हिंदुस्तान को घुस के मारा।’ उन्होंने कहा कि पुलवामा आतंकी हमला पाकिस्तान की बड़ी कामयाबी है। पूरे पाकिस्तान को इस पर फख्र होना चाहिए। इमरान खान के मंत्री फवाद चौधरी ने वो बात कह दी जो पाकिस्तान पूरी दुनिया से अब तक छुपा रहा था कि पुलवामा हमले से उसका कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। फवाद चौधरी ने कहा-‘पुलवामा हमले को मत भूलिए। हमने इंडिया में घुसकर हमला किया था। पुलवामा हमला इमरान खान के नेतृत्व में पाकिस्तान की जनता की बड़ी कामयाबी है। आप (विपक्ष) और हम (सत्तारूढ़ दल) सभी उस कामयाबी का हिस्सा हैं।‘ फवाद चौधरी नैशनल असेम्बली में बोले तो करीब दस मिनट लेकिन सिर्फ 22 सेकेंड में उन्होंने वो बात कह दी, जो पाकिस्तान 22 महीने से छुपाए हुए था।
हकीकत जुबां से बाहर आने के बाद जबतक फवाद चौधरी को इस बात का अहसास हुआ कि कुछ गलत हो गया है, बात बहुत दूर तक निकल चुकी थी। हालांकि उन्होंने अपनी बात से पलटने की कोशिश की और कहा-‘पुलवामा वाकये के बाद जब हमने इंडिया को घुस के मारा’। अब फवाद चौधरी के इस बयान को भारतीय मीडिया ने लपक लिया और दिन भर वे सफाई देते रहे कि उनके बयान का गलत मतलब निकाला गया। उन्होंने कहा- ‘मैं उस वक्त का जिक्र कर रहा था जब हमारे विमानों ने भारत के लड़ाकू ठिकानों को निशाना बनाया।’
अब आप सोच रहे होंगे कि आखिर पाकिस्तान के मंत्री ने इस तरह की बात क्यों कही? ऐसा क्या हो गया जिससे फवाद चौधरी को ऐसा बयान देना पड़ा। असल में पिछले दो दिनों से पाकिस्तान की पार्लियामेंट में इमरान खान औऱ उनकी सरकार की जमकर बखिया उधेड़ी जा रही है। विरोधी दलों के नेता एकजुट होकर इमरान खान के और पाकिस्तान की फौज के सीक्रेट सामने ला रहे हैं। फवाद चौधरी नवाज शरीफ की पार्टी के नेता अयाज सादिक के खुलासे को ढकने की कोशिश कर रहे थे।
अयाज सादिक ने पार्लियामेंट में चर्चा के दौरान ऐसी बात कह दी थी जिससे पूरे पाकिस्तान में इमरान खान और पाकिस्तान की फौज का मजाक उड़ाया जा रहा था।
अयाज सादिक ने पार्लियामेंट में पूरे जोश के साथ, पूरे यकीन के साथ कहा कि पुलवामा हमले के बाद हुई एयर स्ट्राइक से पाकिस्तान नरेन्द्र मोदी से काफी डर गया था। उन्होंने खुलासा किया कि एक टॉप लेवल की मीटिंग का जिक्र किया जिसमें विदेश मंत्री शाह महमूद कुरैशी समेत कई वरिष्ठ राजनेता और सेना प्रमुख जनरल क़मर जावेद बाजवा शामिल हुए थे। अयाज ने कहा कि पाकिस्तानी फौज के जनरल इतने घबराए हुए थे कि आर्मी चीफ बाजवा के पैर कांप रहे थे। पाकिस्तान की सरकार डर के मारे थर्रा रही थी। मीटिंग में कहा गया कि अगर रात 9 बजे तक अभिनंदन को रिहा नहीं किया गया तो भारत पाकिस्तान पर हमला कर सकता है। इसी डर की वजह से पाकिस्तान ने विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को रिहा करने का फैसला किया । रात के नौ बजते उससे पहले ही पाकिस्तान ने विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को भारत के हवाले कर दिया था। अयाज सादिक ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान बैठक में शामिल होने वाले थे, लेकिन वे नहीं आए। दरअसल, विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन का मिग विमान पाकिस्तानी विमानों के साथ हवाई मुकाबले के दौरान दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो गया था और वे पाकिस्तान वाले हिस्से में जा गिरे थे। पाकिस्तानी सेना ने विंग कमाडंर अभिनंदन को बंदी बना लिया था और भारत ने उनकी फौरी रिहाई की मांग की थी।
अयाज सादिक पाकिस्तान के कोई साधारण नेता नहीं हैं। वे नेशनल असेंबली के स्पीकर रह चुके हैं और जिन तथ्यों को उन्होंने सामने रखा है वे बेहद अहम हैं। ये तथ्य आधारहीन नहीं हैं। अब तक किसी को ये पता नहीं था कि पाकिस्तान ने अचानक विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को रिहा करने का फैसला क्यों किया। केवल कयास लगाए जा रहे थे।
मुझे याद है मैंने पिछले साल मई में अपने शो ‘सलाम इंडिया’ में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से यही सवाल किया था। तब मोदी ने मुस्कुरा कर कहा था, ‘वो एक रात थी, जिस रात में कई राज़ थे, राज़ को राज़ ही रहने दीजिए। ‘
अब हकीकत सबके सामने है। पाकिस्तानी नेता कह रहे हैं कि उनके विदेश मंत्री ने टॉप लेवल की एक गुप्त मीटिंग में कहा था कि अगर अभिनंदन को रिहा नहीं किया गया तो भारत आज रात 9 बजे पाकिस्तान पर हमला कर देगा । पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्री ने विपक्ष के नेताओं से अभिनंदन की रिहाई के लिए सहमति मांगी थी।
गुरुवार को पाकिस्तानी सेना के प्रवक्ता ने अयाज सादिक के बयान पर सफाई देने की पूरी कोशिश की। लेकिन वे अयाज के खुलासे को खारिज नहीं कर पाए। प्रवक्ता ने केवल यह कहा कि अभिनंदन को छोड़ने का फैसला एक ‘मेच्योर रिस्पॉन्स’ (सूझबूझ से लिया गया फैसला) था और ‘इसे किसी और बात के साथ जोड़ना भ्रामक होगा।’
पाकिस्तानी नेताओं के कबुलनामें से दो बातें स्पष्ट हो गई है। पहला, पाकिस्तान ने मान लिया कि पुलवामा में आतंकी हमले की साजिश उसने रची। दूसरा, पाकिस्तान में नरेंद्र मोदी का खौफ है। इमरान खान, नरेन्द्र मोदी की हिम्मत और ताकत से घबराते हैं। इसके अलावा अब जो भी सफाई पाकिस्तान की ओर से आ रही है वो इस मुद्दे को उलझाने की एक कोशिश का हिस्सा है।
फवाद चौधरी ने दुनिया के सामने सच्चाई बयान कर दी। अब पाकिस्तान कैसे कहेगा कि उसने पुलवामा में आंतकवादी हमला नहीं करवाया था। इमरान खान अब शान्ति दूत बनने का नाटक कैसे करेंगे। अब तक इमरान खान पूरी दुनिया के सामने घूम-घूम कर रोते थे। पुलवामा हमले के बाद हुई बालाकोट एयर स्ट्राइक के जख्म दिखाकर दुनिया की हमदर्दी हासिल करने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। लेकिन अब इमरान खान क्या कहेंगे? अब पाकिस्तान की फौज क्या कहेगी?
भारत ने बालाकोट एयरस्ट्राइक के वक्त भी सीना ठोक कर कहा था कि ये पुलवामा में हुए हमले का बदला है। पुलवामा में हमारे जवानों का खून बहानेवाले दहशतगर्दों को सबक सिखाने के लिए ये किया गया है। ये पाकिस्तान को चेतावनी है। उस वक्त पाकिस्तान में घुसकर की गई एयर स्ट्राइक की जानकारी सबसे पहले औपचारिक तौर पर भारत ने पाकिस्तान को ही दी थी। भारत ने कुछ छिपाया नहीं था। झूठ नहीं बोला था। पाकिस्तान को बताया था कि ये हमला पाकिस्तान पर नहीं बल्कि पाकिस्तान में छिपे दहशतगर्दों पर है। उस वक्त इमरान खान ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी पर जंग को उकसावा देने का इल्जाम लगाया था। लेकिन इमरान खान के फरेब से उन्हीं के मंत्री ने पर्दा उठा दिया।
अब सवाल ये है कि अगर पाकिस्तान विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को वापस न भेजता तो क्या वाकई में हमारी फौज रात नौ बजे पाकिस्तान पर धावा बोल देती? क्या हमारी सेना और एयरफोर्स वाकई में हमले की तैयारी कर चुकी थी? इस हकीकत को जानने के लिए इंडिया टीवी ने बात की उस वक्त के एयर चीफ मार्शल बी. एस. धनोआ से। धनोआ ने भी कहा कि इंडियन एयरफोर्स हमले के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार थी। कुछ ही मिनटों में पाकिस्तान की फ्रंट लाइन डिफेंस को पूरी तरह तहस- नहस किया जा सकता था। पाकिस्तान इस बात को समझ चुका था। इसीलिए पाकिस्तान को विंग कमांडर अभिनंदन को रिहा करने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा।
पूर्व एयर चीफ मार्शल की बात सुनकर गर्व से सीना चौड़ा हो जाता है। हमारी फौज की शक्ति पर, हमारे जवानों की बहादुरी पर भरोसा और बढ़ जाता है। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की नेतृत्व क्षमता पर हमारी फौज को कितना भरोसा है, ये भी समझ में आ जाता है। लेकिन हमारे देश में ऐसे नेता हैं जो इस जोश और इस हिम्मत को देखना नहीं चाहते, समझना नहीं चाहते ।
अब जब पाकिस्तान ने राज़ खोल दिए हैं तो आज सबको ये बात समझ आ जानी चाहिए कि पहले के भारत और आज के भारत में क्या फर्क है। पाकिस्तान का कबूलनामा और पाकिस्तान का खौफ देखकर ये पता चल जाना चाहिए कि पहले की लीडरशिप और मोदी की लीडरशिप में क्या फर्क है। पाकिस्तान पहले भी आतंकवादी हमले करवाता था। हमारी फौज की ताकत, उनकी बहादुरी पहले भी थी। लेकिन पहले हम पाकिस्तान को डोजियर भेजते थे, चिट्ठियां लिखते थे। पहले हम अमेरिका से मदद मांगने चले जाते थे। लेकिन नरेन्द्र मोदी ने इस परिभाषा को बदल दिया। पाकिस्तान ने जब हमला किया तो उसको उसके घर में घुसकर मारा और आज इस बात का भी सबूत मिल गया कि अगर पाकिस्तान अभिनंदन को न छोड़ता तो भारत उस पर हमला करने वाला था।
आज ये भी पता चल गया कि पाकिस्तान को नरेन्द्र मोदी की ताकत का कितना एहसास है। पाकिस्तान में मोदी का खौफ है। लेकिन दुर्भाग्य की बात ये है कि हमारे देश में हमारे अपने लीडर इस बात को मानने को तैयार नहीं है। पाकिस्तान के कबूलनामे के बाद कम से कम उन्हें ये समझ लेना चाहिए कि वो चीन और पाकिस्तान पर भरोसा करने की बजाय हमारी फौज पर यकीन करें। अपने प्रधानमंत्री पर भरोसा करें।
Pulwama, Abhinandan secrets are out: Pakistan is scared of Modi
The secrets are out. Pakistani leader Ayaz Sadiq has revealed that his country fears Modi. Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa were worried that if they did not release Wing Commander Abhinandan, India would attack Pakistan. Imran’s minister Fawad Chaudhry claimed that Imran should be given credit for organizing the attack in Pulwama. Both the revelations in Pakistan’s National Assembly completely expose Pakistan.
Let us take Fawad Chaudhry first. Pakistan’s Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry is said to be very close to Prime Minister Imran Khan. Fawad Chaudhry frequently defends his leader whenever he is attacked by the Opposition. But on Thursday, Fawad Chaudhry spilled out the secret on who planned the Pulwama attack of February 14, 2019 in which 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred.
Taking part in a debate in National Assembly, Fawad Chaudhry said the terror strike in Pulwama was a major “success” under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said, “humne Hindustan ko ghus ke maara (we attacked India inside their home). Our success in Pulwama is a success of the people under the leadership of Imran Khan. You (opposition) and we (ruling party) are all part of that success.”
As soon as the cat was out of the bag, Fawad Chaudhry realized his folly and then backtracked. He said, “Pulwama ke waqaye ke baad jab humne India ko ghus ke mara” (when we hit India in their home after Pulwama). Soon Indian media picked up the minister’s remark, and Fawad Chaudhry had to spend the rest of the day clarifying that he was “misquoted and misinterpreted”. He said, he was referring to “when our planes targeted India’s combat installations”.
Fawad Chaudhry’s remark comes a day after Nawaz Sharif’s party leader Ayaz Sadiq revealed why Pakistan decided to release Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan. Ayaz Sadiq recounted a top meeting held in February last year during the critical standoff between India and Pakistan after the Balakot air strike.
He revealed how at a top meeting attended by senior political leaders and the Army Chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, looking frightened, perspiring and shaking in his knees, walked in and told the meeting that Abhinandan must be released because India may attack Pakistan at 9 pm that night. Ayaz Sadiq said PM Imran Khan was supposed to attend the meeting, but he did not. Wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by Pakistani army after MiG-21 jet fell down during a dogfight with a Pakistani aircraft, and India had demanded his release.
Ayaz Sadiq is not an ordinary politician in Pakistan. He has been the Speaker of National Assembly and the facts that he was revealing carried weight. Till now, nobody knew why Pakistan suddenly decided to release Wing Commander Abhinandan. There were speculations galore.
I remember, I had put the same question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in my ‘Salaam India’ show with him in May last year. Modi had then smiled and replied: “Let the secret of that night remain a secret forever.”
The secret is now out. According to the Pakistani leader, their Foreign Minister told the top secret meeting that India was going to attack that night at 9 pm, and he virtually pleaded with the opposition to agree to Abhinandan’s release.
On Thursday, the Pakistani army spokesman tried his best to clarify Ayaz Sadiq’s remark, but he did not reject his revelation. The spokesman only said that the decision to release Abhinandan was “a mature response” and “it would be misleading to link this with anything else.”
Two clear facts emerge from the remarks of these two Pakistani leaders: One, Pakistan had conspired the suicide terrorist attack in Pulwama, and Two, Pakistan is mortally afraid of Modi. All other clarifications from Pakistan are nothing but attempts to obfuscate the issue.
Fawad Chaudhry has exposed what Pakistan had been trying to hide till now. Pakistan had been claiming that it had nothing to do with the Pulwama terror attack. Imran Khan had been crying hoarse throughout the hold that his country was not a sponsor but a victim of terrorism, but here, it was his own minister who has spilled the cat out of the bag.
What will the Pakistani army establishment do about Fawad’s remark? It was India which had openly told the world that it has taken revenge for Pulwama terror attack by carrying out airstrike on terror camps in Balakot. It was India which had formally informed Pakistan about the Balakot airstrike. India never tried to hide facts, but Pakistan did lie. After Balakot airstrike, it was Imran Khan who had alleged that Prime Minister Modi was trying to provoke a war. But his own minister has now nailed Imran Khan’s lies.
For the last two days, the combined Opposition is spilling out several secrets about Imran Khan and the Pakistani army while participating in the debate of national security. Whatever Ayaz Sadiq revealed in National Assembly has brought loss of face to the mighty Pakistani army establishment. Ayaz Sadiq has revealed what others feared to do. He spoke about how the General and his foreign minister were perspiring and shaking in their knees because India was going to attack at 9 pm. They were beseeching the Opposition to agree to the government’s decision to release Abhinandan unconditionally.
India TV spoke to the then IAF chief retired Air Chief Marshal B. S. Dhanoa. He told India TV that the air force was at that time ready to wipe out the entire frontline defence of Pakistan, within minutes. That is why, Dhanoa said, Pakistan was forced to release Wing Commander Abhinandan. Watching the former air chief speak makes our hearts fill with pride. We are proud of the unmatched bravery of our armed forces, and they too have an abiding faith in the leadership of our Prime Minister.
Now that the dark secrets are spilled out, every Indian must realize that there is a big difference in what India was less than a decade ago and now. After watching Pakistani leaders admitting that their army had planned the terror attack and that its general were shaking in their knees on hearing about an impending Indian attack, every Indian must realize the difference between the qualities of the earlier leadership and Modi’s leadership.
Pakistan had been aiding and abetting terrorists since decades, and our armed forces were quite capable to strike back, but the earlier leadership used to send dossiers and write letters to Pakistan. The earlier leadership used to take complaints against Pakistan to the United States, but Modi has changed the very lexicon of how to act against the enemy. He ordered the army and air force to carry out surgical strikes inside enemy territory at least twice, and now, the secret is out that India was poised to attack at 9 pm that night, had Abhinandan not been released from captivity.
The unravelling of this secret has clearly underlined the extent to which Pakistan regards Modi’s strength. The Pakistani establishment fears Modi, but unfortunately, our own leaders here are unwilling to admit this. After Pakistan’s admission of its hand in Pulwama attack, our leaders should stop believing in fake claims made by Pakistan and China, and trust the capability of our armed forces. They should have trust in the leadership of our Prime Minister.
बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव: मोदी बने गेम चेंजर
बिहार विधानसभा चुनाव के पहले दौर के लिए बुधवार को जब वोट डाले जा रहे थे उसी दौरान प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद मोदी मुजफ्फरपुर, पटना और दरभंगा में तीन चुनावी सभाओं को संबोधित कर रहे थे। मोदी ने अपने भाषण में राष्ट्रीय जनता दल (आरजेडी) के नेता तेजस्वी यादव पर निशाना साधा। हालांकि उन्होंने अपने भाषण में तेजस्वी का नाम नहीं लिया लेकिन ‘जंगलराज का युवराज’ कहकर यह स्पष्ट कर दिया कि उनका इशारा तेजस्वी की ओर है।
मोदी ने बिहार में आरजेडी के 15 साल के शासन के दौरान अराजकता के दौर का जिक्र किया। उन्होंने लोगों को वो बातें दिलाई, वो वक्त याद दिलाया, वो मुद्दे याद दिलाए जिसे बिहार की जनता भूलना चाहती है। मोदी ने बार-बार अपहरण, भ्रष्टाचार और अपराधियों के जमाने की य़ाद दिलाई और बिहार के लोगों को चेतावनी दी, उन्हें सावधान किया। मोदी हर रैली में पहले वाली रैली से अलग नजर आए, इलाके के हिसाब से, जनता के मूड के हिसाब से उन्होंने मुद्दे उठाए। लेकिन जंगलराज की बात हर जगह की और प्रमुखता से की। मोदी ने अपने भाषण में आरजेडी सुप्रीमो लालू प्रसाद के बेटे तेजस्वी को ‘युवराज’ बताया। लालू इन दिनों चारा घोटाले के मामले में जेल में सजा काट रहे हैं। तेजस्वी को आरजेडी की अगुवाई वाले गठबंधन ने सीएम उम्मीदवार के तौर पर मैदान में उतारा है।
मोदी ने मतदाताओं को वोट डालते वक्त सावधान रहने की अपील की। उन्होंने लोगों से कहा-‘ अगर वे बिहार में विकास को इसी रफ्तार से आगे बढ़ाना चाहते हैं तो उन्हें जंगलराज की वापसी को रोकना होगा। अगर जंगलराज वाले लोग सत्ता में आ गए तो फिर से बिहार ‘लालटेन’ (आरजेडी का चुनाव चिन्ह) के अंधेरे युग में चला जाएगा। बिहार फिर से अपहरण का बाजार बन जाएगा। यह फिर से बीमारू राज्य हो जाएगा। जो लोग नौकरी का वादा कर रहे हैं, असल में वो अपने लिए नौकरी का इंतजाम करने में लगे हैं। ये लोग सत्ता में आ गए तो ‘पैसा हजम और परियोजना खतम’।“ दरभंगा की रैली में तो मोदी ने साफ-साफ कहा कि ये मौका है जब बिहार के लोग राज्य को फिर से बीमारू होने से बचा सकते हैं।
बुधवार को मोदी का वो रंग दिखा जिसके कारण उन्हें चुनाव का रूख पलटने वाला प्रचारक कहा जाता है, उन्हें गेम चेंजर कहा जाता है। उन्होंने अपने भाषण में विपक्षी दलों पर कड़ा प्रहार किया। एनडीए के प्रचार अभियान में मोदी के इस भाषण को गेम चेंजर के रूप में देखा जा रहा है। अपनी हर रैली में मोदी ने ये बताया कि बिहार के लिए उनकी सरकार ने क्या किया। नीतीश कुमार की सरकार ने कौन से काम किए। डबल इंजन की सरकार से बिहार को कितना फायदा हुआ और फिर याद दिलाया अगर इस वक्त चूक हो गई तो कितना नुकसान हो जाएगा और इसके बाद मोदी ने विस्तार से जंगलराज की बात की। नीतीश कुमार और लालू यादव के वक्त का फर्क समझाया।
मोदी ने हर वो बात कही जो बिहार के लोग सुनना चाहते हैं, बीजेपी और जेडीयू के नेता कहना चाहते हैं, लेकिन मैसेज भी चला जाए और बात भी कह दी जाए और मर्यादा भी बनी रहे, ये एक कला है, जो सबके बस की बात नहीं है। अधिकतर नेता इसमें मात खा जाते हैं और व्यक्तिगत टीका-टिप्पणियों में ज्यादा उलझ जाते हैं। मोदी ने लालू यादव के बारे में, तेजस्वी यादव के चुनाव प्रचार के बारे में हर बात कही, लेकिन एक भी शब्द ऐसा नहीं कहा जिस पर विरोधी सवाल उठा सकें, किसी तरह का इल्जाम लगा सकें। पहली बार प्रधानमंत्री ने बिना नाम लिए तेजस्वी यादव पर हमले किए। नाम नहीं लिया लेकिन जैसे ही मोदी अपने भाषण में बोलते थे ‘जंगलराज के युवराज’, तो रैली में मौजूद हजारों लोग समझ जाते थे कि तीर लालटेन की तरफ चलाया गया है। कुल मिलाकर पीएम मोदी ने जबरदस्त प्रचारक का रोल अदा किया। बिहार के लोगों को समझाया, पढ़ाया और थोड़ा-थोडा डराया भी।
तेजस्वी पर सीधा हमला मंगलवार को नीतीश कुमार ने भी किया था। लेकिन मुद्दा गलत चुना। लालू के नौ बच्चों (सात बेटी, दो बेटे) की बात कर दी और तेजस्वी को जवाब देने का मौका मिल गया। लेकिन बुधवार को मोदी ने जो कहा उससे आरजेडी के नेताओं को, तेजस्वी को दर्द तो बहुत हुआ होगा, लेकिन इस दर्द की कोई दवा नहीं है। तेजस्वी पिछले कई हफ्तों से अपने भाषणों में ‘जंगलराज’ को लेकर किसी भी तरह के पलटवार या टिप्पणी से बचने की कोशिश कर रहे थे। वे चाह रहे थे कि उन दिनों की बातों से छुटकारा मिले, लेकिन मोदी ने उन स्याह दिनों को एक बार फिर चुनावी बिसात पर ला दिया है। पीएम मोदी ने अपनी तीनों रैली में जंगलराज की बात की और जनता को उन बीते दिनों की याद दिलाई।
दिलचस्प बात ये है कि बुधवार को बिहार में राहुल गांधी ने भी चुनाव प्रचार किया। राहुल गांधी के भाषण को मैंने गौर से सुना, ये सोचकर कि शायद कोई नई बात मिले। कोई ऐसा मुद्दा तो मिले जिससे बिहार के चुनाव को जोड़ा जा सके, लेकिन ऐसा हुआ नहीं। राहुल ने पंजाब की बात की, दशहरे की बात की, 2014 के लोकसभा चुनाव में किए गए मोदी के वादों की बात की, कोरोना के दौरान मोदी के भाषणों की बात की और वोट बिहार के लोगों से मांगा। राहुल ने रोजगार का मुद्दा उठाया तो इसमें भी नीतीश कुमार को नहीं, मोदी को ही निशाना बनाया। राहुल गांधी के भाषणों पर ध्यान दीजिए। उन्हें इस बात से फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि वह बिहार में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए वोट मांग रहे हैं या फिर लोकसभा चुनाव का प्रचार कर रहे हैं।
मैं राहुल के भाषणों पर पिछले तीन साल से गौर कर रहा हूं। राहुल गांधी के मुद्दे तो छोड़िए, डायलॉग भी नहीं बदले हैं। बस जगह बदल जाती है, चुनाव बदल जाता है। इसकी वजह ये है कि चुनाव कोई भी हो, जगह कोई भी हो, राहुल गांधी के दिलों दिमाग में सिर्फ नरेन्द्र मोदी छाए रहते हैं। इसके चक्कर में वह सब भूल जाते हैं। और हकीकत ये है कि राहुल नरेन्द्र मोदी को जितना कोसते हैं, बीजपी को उतना फायदा होता है। समय है कि राहुल गांधी को अपने भाषण का सुर बदल लेना चाहिए। हमेशा मोदी पर एक सुर में बोलने की बजाय उन मतदाताओं से जुड़े मुद्दों पर ज्यादा बोलना चाहिए जो उन्हें सुनने आते हैं।

Even as brisk voting was in progress for 71 assembly seats in Bihar on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speeches at three rallies in Muzaffarpur, Patna and Darbhanga hit out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav describing him as “Jungleraj Ka Yuvraj” (Prince of Jungle Rule).
Modi was referring to the period of lawlessness in Bihar during the 15-year-long rule of RJD. During this period, a large number of kidnappings, heists and robberies took place in the state and criminal gangs were ruling the roost. By ‘Yuvraj’, he was referring to Tejashwi, son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, presently serving his sentence in jail in the fodder scam. Tejashwi has been projected as chief ministerial candidate by the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan.
Modi cautioned voters to be careful while casting their votes. He said, “if jungle raj returns to Bihar, the dark age of lantern (RJD poll symbol) will return. All the development that took place during Nitish Kumar’s 15-year-long rule will go waste. Forget about getting government jobs, even private companies that are offering jobs in Bihar, will close shop and leave. The kidnapping industry will return and Bihar will again turn ‘bimaru’ (sick). Those who are promising you jobs are actually trying to arrange jobs for themselves. Once they return to power, ‘paisa hazam, pariyojana khatam’ (they will pocket all the money from projects).”
Modi’s speeches on Wednesday were hard-hitting and are being viewed as a game changer in the current NDA campaign. The people of Bihar have not yet forgotten the dark period of corruption and rampant kidnappings, when criminal gangs were active. Modi reminded voters that it was Nitish Kumar who consistently worked towards bring back the rule of law and ensured that projects were completed.
Modi knows the art of convincing the common man in a language that they understand. Most of the politicians lack this art of convincing voters and indulge in personal mudslinging. The people of Bihar were yearning to hear Modi speak about Lalu Yadav and his son Tejashwi Yadav. Modi did not even name Tejashwi, but by naming him as ‘yuvraj’ he conveyed whatever he wanted to. Nowhere did he resort to abusive words.
Contrast this with what Nitish Kumar said on Tuesday while mentioning about Lalu Yadav and his seven daughters and two sons. This did not go down well with the common people of Bihar. The same message was conveyed by Modi in a different manner and it was not at all jarring. Tejashwi and RJD leaders must have felt the pinch after watching Modi speak, but they had no answer. Tejashwi, for the last several weeks, had been consciously trying to avoid any mention of ‘jungleraj’ in his speeches. He wanted the sad memories of those days forgotten, but it was left to Modi to point out the truth about those dark years in a blunt manner.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also addressed rallies in Bihar on Wednesday. I listened to some of his speeches but these were bland, to say the least. Rahul was speaking about farmers’ protests in Punjab, about Dussehra, about what Modi said during Corona epidemic, and he was seeking votes from the people of Bihar. It matters the least to Rahul Gandhi whether he is addressing a rally during the assembly elections or the Lok Sabha elections.
For the last three years, I have been watching most of his speeches. Most of his dialogues are repetitive, they do not connect with the voters, and if you change the time and place of his rallies, you may not find an iota of change in his speeches. In all his speeches, Rahul Gandhi’s single point agenda is Modi. The more he makes disparaging remarks about Modi, the more he is indirectly helping the BJP. It’s time that Rahul should change the tone and tenor of his speeches and make them relatable to voters who are listening to him, instead of speaking only about Modi like a stuck gramophone record.
निकिता मर्डर केस: हत्यारों को फौरन सज़ा दें ताकि आगे के लिए मिसाल बन सके
हरियाणा में फरीदाबाद के पास बल्लभगढ़ में मंगलवार को एक लड़की की दिनदहाड़े हत्या से पूरे देश में आक्रोश की लहर दौड़ गई। सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुई 23 सेकंड की एक सीसटीवी फुटेज में तौसीफ नाम का बदमाश निकिता नाम की लड़की को पॉइंट ब्लैंक रेंज पर गोली मारते हुए नजर आ रहा है।
20 साल की निकिता तोमर फरीदाबाद के एक कॉलेज में बी. कॉम अंतिम वर्ष की पढ़ाई कर रही थी। मंगलवार को जब वह अपनी एक सहेली के साथ कॉलेज से बाहर आई, तभी हत्यारा तौसीफ और उसका साथी रेहान एक कार में आए और निकिता को अपनी कार में खींचने की कोशिश की। निकिता ने जब इसका विरोध किया तो तौसीफ ने अपनी पिस्तौल निकाली और गोली चला दी, जिससे उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। वारदात को अंजाम देने के बाद दोनों कार से फरार हो गए और निकिता की सहेली भौंचक्की होकर उसे सड़क पर मरते हुए देखती रही।
थोड़ी ही देर में निकिता के परिजन घटनास्थल पर पहुंच गए और अन्य स्थानीय निवासियों के साथ मिलकर वे दिल्ली-मथुरा हाईवे पर धरना पर बैठ गए, और पूरी सड़क जाम हो गई। धरना दे रहे लोगों का समर्थन करने के लिए जल्द ही वहां हजारों लोग इकट्ठा हो गए और सभी मिलकर हत्यारों के खिलाफ तत्काल कार्रवाई की मांग करने लगे।
निकिता के पिता ने आरोप लगाया कि तौसीफ पिछले 2 साल से उनकी बेटी को परेशान कर रहा था, और उसने पिछले साल सितंबर में छेड़छाड़ की शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी। स्थानीय पुलिस ने तब दोनों परिवारों के बीच समझौता करा दिया था। लेकिन तौसीफ और उसकी मां पिछले कुछ हफ्तों से उसे लगातार इस्लाम कबूल करके निकाह करने के लिए दबाव डाल रहे थे। निकिता ने इससे साफ इनकार कर दिया, लेकिन तौसीफ नहीं माना और पीछा करना जारी रखा।
स्थानीय पुलिस ने निकिता को सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए कोई कदम नहीं उठाया। निकिता के नाना ने आरोप लगाया कि हत्या के बाद जब परिवार के लोग शिकायत करने थाने गए तो SHO का बर्ताव काफी बुरा था, और उसने तौसीफ के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज करते समय परिवार की बात नहीं सुनी। उन्होंने मांग की है कि एक नई FIR दर्ज की जाए और मामले को फास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट में भेजा जाए।
दोनों आरोपियों की धरपकड़ के लिए क्राइम ब्रांच की 10 टीमें बनाई गईं, और इस जघन्य वारदात को अंजाम देने के कुछ ही घंटे के भीतर पुलिस ने तौसीफ और रेहान को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। निकिता का हत्यारा तौसीफ 21 साल का है और वह फिजियोथैरेपी का कोर्स कर रहा है। दोनों आरोपियों को मंगलवार को कोर्ट में पेश किया गया जहां से इन्हें 2 दिन की पुलिस रिमांड पर भेज दिया गया। हत्यारों को फांसी की सजा देने की मांग कर रहे निकिता के परिवार के सदस्यों और स्थानीय निवासियों को समझाने में पुलिस अधिकारियों को काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी। पुलिस अफसरों ने उन्हें भरोसा दिलाया कि मुकदमे की सुनवाई के दौरान मामले में तेजी लाई जाएगी और जल्द न्याय मिलेगा। शाम को परिजनों ने धरना खत्म कर दिया और निकिता के शव को अंतिम संस्कार के लिए ले जाया गया।
यह एक निर्मम हत्या है और किसी भी तरह से यह नहीं कहा जा सकता इसे गुस्से में अंजाम दिया गया है। इस मामले में स्थानीय पुलिस की भूमिका भी सवालों के घेरे में है क्योंकि तौसीफ एक स्थानीय कांग्रेस विधायक का चचेरा भाई है। अब जबकि सबूत के रूप में सीसीटीवी फुटेज के साथ-साथ चश्मदीद गवाह भी मौजूद हैं, तो चार्जशीट दाखिल करने और दोनों हत्यारों को सजा दिलाने में कोई देरी नहीं होनी चाहिए। बचाव पक्ष के वकील अदालतों में इस केस को लंबा खींचने की पूरी कोशिश कर सकते हैं, लेकिन इस बात को समझना होगा कि देर से मिले न्याय का कोई मतलब नहीं रह जाता। अभियोजन पक्ष को पूरी मजबूती से यह केस लड़ना चाहिए और हत्यारों को किसी भी कीमत पर बख्शा नहीं जाना चाहिए।
लोगों का गुस्सा जायज़ है क्योंकि आमतौर पर कानूनी पचड़ों में काफी वक्त लगता है जिससे न्याय मिलने में देरी होती है। हालांकि बलात्कारियों और हत्यारों को सजा देने के लिए एक कड़ा कानून बनाया तो गया है, लेकिन फास्ट ट्रैक कोर्ट्स में ऐसे मामलों के निपटान के लिए एक तय समय सीमा निर्धारित होनी चाहिए। बेटियों को जितनी जल्दी न्याय मिलेगा, उतना ही अच्छा होगा। इन मामलों में जल्द सजा दी जानी चाहिए और वह ऐसी हो जिससे महिलाओं को परेशान करने वालों, हत्यारों और बलात्कारियों के मन में कानून का डर बना रहे। ऐसा होने पर ही हमारी बेटियां ऐसे अपराधियों से बैखौफ होकर एक सुरक्षित जीवन जीने का सपना देख सकती हैं।
