नया संसद भवन : सभी पार्टियां स्वागत करें
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 28 मई को नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन करेंगे, लेकिन इस बीच कांग्रेस, तृणमूल कांग्रेस, राष्ट्रीय जनता दल और कई अन्य विपक्षी दलों ने मांग की है कि नये भवन का उद्घाटन राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू करें. कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खर्गे का कहना है कि “जिस तरह संसद भारत गणराज्य की सर्वोच्च विधायी संस्था है, उसी तरह राष्ट्रपति सर्वोच्च संवैधानिक अधिकारी हैं. ऱाष्ट्रपति सरकार, विपक्ष और हर नागरिक की प्रतीक हैं. वह भारत की प्रथम नागरिक हैं. ..लेकिन बीजेपी-आरएसएस शासन में राष्ट्रपति के कार्यालय को महज प्रतीकात्मक बना कर रखा गया है.” जवाब में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के नेताओं ने एक पुराना वीडियो पेश किया जिसमें तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी संसद पुस्तकालय भवन की आधारशिला रख रहे थे. कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने यह भी सवाल उठाया है कि 28 मई को वीर सावरकर की जयन्ती है, और उसी दिन नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन हो रहा है. मुझे लगता है कि इस बात से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि नये संसद भवन का उद्घाटन कौन करता है. फर्क इस बात से पड़ता है कि क्या नये भवन में संसद की कार्यवाही ठीक से चलेगी या नहीं. फर्क इस बात से पड़ेगा कि क्या पुराने संसद भवन में हंगामा करने की परंपरा को वहीं छोड़ कर अब नई संसद मुद्दों पर बहस का मंच बनेगी या नहीं. फर्क इस बात से पड़ता है कि क्या वाकई में नये संसद भवन की जरूरत है या नहीं. मुझे याद है इसकी जरूरत का जिक्र सबसे पहले लोकसभा स्पीकर मीरा कुमार ने किया था, जयराम रमेश ने उस वक्त इसका समर्थन किया था. जो लोग संसद में गए हैं, वे जानते हैं कि पुरानी बिल्डिंग में जगह की कितनी कमी है, कर्मचारियों के बैठने की जगह नहीं है, पार्टियों के दफ्तर के अलॉटमेंट को लेकर मारामारी होती है, पुराना साउंड सिस्टम है, बारिश के वक्त बिल्डिंग में पानी टपकता है, कई बार AC काम नहीं करते, कई जगहों पर दरारें हैं. दूसरी बात सांसदों के बैठने की जगह काम पड़ने लगी है , पुरानी बिल्डिंग में लोकसभा में 543 सदस्य बैठ सकते हैं. अब 2026 में जब लोकसभा सीटों का पुर्नगठन होगा तो ये संख्या 800 से ज्यादा हो सकती है. इस लिहाज से पुरानी बिल्डिंग और भी छोटी पड़ जाएगी. इसलिए नया संसद भवन तो जरूरी था, अब नया संसद भवन बनकर तैयार है. ये काम बहुत पहले हो जाना चाहिए था. चूंकि ये काम मोदी ने हाथ में लिया और सिर्फ ढाई साल में रिकॉर्ड समय में पूरा कर दिया, इसका श्रेय उनको मिलना चाहिए. ये भी सोचना चाहिए कि इस भवन में मोदी अकेले तो बैठेंगे नहीं, ये तो सबके काम का है, सबके लिए है. दुनिया के सबसे बड़े और सबसे जीवन्त लोकतन्त्र की संसद भी शानदार होनी चाहिए. इसलिए मुझे लगता है कि सभी राजनीतिक दलों को नये संसद भवन के उद्घाटन का स्वागत करना चाहिए.
विपक्षी एकता : कांग्रेस ने पैदा की रुकावट
बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने सोमवार को दिल्ली में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खर्गे और राहुल गांधी से विपक्षी एकता के मुद्दे पर बातचीत की. रविवार को नीतीश कुमार ने अरविंद केजरीवाल से बात की. केजरीवाल ने मंगलवार को कोलकाता में ममता बनर्जी से मुलाकात की. वे बुधवार को मुंबई में उद्धव ठाकरे और शरद पवार से भी मुलाकात करेंगे. केजरीवाल चाहते हैं कि विपक्षी दल दिल्ली के बारे में लाये गये केन्द्र के अध्यादेश का विरोध करने में उनका साथ दें. नीतीश कुमार ने कांग्रेस के शीर्ष नेताओं से कहा कि अगले साल होने जा रहे लोक सभा चुनाव से पहले विपक्षी दलों को एक मंच पर लाना कितना ज़रूरी है. नीतीश चाहते हैं कि मोदी विरोधी मोर्चे की पहली बैठक पटना में हो. लेकिन कांग्रेस के नेता अभी जल्दी में नहीं है. उनका कहना है कि पहले सीटों के आवंटन पर कोई फैसला हो जाय. वैसे नीतीश कुमार मेहनत तो शिद्दत से कर रहे हैं, शरद पवार, उद्धव ठाकरे, अरविन्द केजरीवाल का समर्थन भी उन्हें मिला है लेकिन बड़ी बात ये है कि अगर कांग्रेस ही नीतीश की कोशिश में शामिल न हुई, तो सब बेकार है. और कांग्रेस की मुश्किल समझना कोई बड़ी बात नहीं हैं. कांग्रेस राहुल गांधी को प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर प्रोजेक्ट करना चाहती है, इसके लिए जरूरी है कि कांग्रेस तीन सौ से ज्यादा सीटों पर चुनाव लड़े, लेकिन ममता कह चुकी हैं कि अगर कांग्रेस विरोधी दलों के साथ मिलकर चुनाव लड़ती है तो कांग्रेस को 210 से ज्यादा सीटों की उम्मीद नहीं करनी चाहिए. ममता हों, अखिलेश हों, नीतीश हों, ये सब उन राज्यों में कांग्रेस को ज्यादा सीटें देने को तैयार हैं, जहां कांग्रेस की बीजेपी से सीधी लड़ाई है, ऐसे दस राज्य हैं – गुजरात, कर्नाटक, राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, असम, हरियाणा, हिमाचल, उत्तराखंड और गोवा. इन राज्यों में कुल 144 सीटें हैं, और इनमें से कांग्रेस के पास आज की तारीख में सिर्फ सात और बीजेपी के पास 132 साटें हैं. इसलिए कांग्रेस अब उन राज्यों में ज्यादा सीटें मांगेगी जिनमें दूसरे क्षेत्रीय दल पहले से ज्यादा मजबूत हैं. बंगाल में ममता कांग्रेस को ज्यादा सीटें कैसे देंगी? अखिलेश यादव यूपी में क्यों देंगे? लालू बिहार में कितनी सीटें दे देंगे? हेमंत सोरेन झारखंड में कुछ नहीं देंगे, इसीलिए कांग्रेस नीतीश से कह रही है कि पहले सीटों की बात तय करो. और नीतीश कह रहे हैं कि पहले मिलकर लड़ने पर सहमति बने. सीटों की बात बाद में तय हो जाएगी. इसी पर बात अटकी है, और अटकी रहेगी. कांग्रेस इस वक्त हवा में है, और होना भी चाहिए क्योंकि अभी अभी कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस ने बीजेपी को हराया है.
बजरंग दल पर प्रतिबंध लगे : मौलाना मदनी
जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्य़क्ष मौलाना अरशद मदनी ने मुंबई में रविवार को कांग्रेस से मांग की कि वह कर्नाटक में बजरंग दल पर प्रतिबंध लगाए, क्योंकि वहां मुसलिम मतदाताओं ने कांग्रेस को अपने वोट दिए हैं, और कांग्रेस ने अपने चुनाव घोषणापत्र में भी इसका वादा किया था. लगे हाथों, मौलाना मदनी ने ये भी कह दिया कि 70 साल पहले अगर कांग्रेस ने प्रतिबंध लगाया होता, तो वह आज विपक्ष में न बैठी हुई होती. जवाब में भाजपा नेता और केंद्रीय मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह ने कहा, मौलाना सही कह रहे हैं. ये गलती 7- साल पहले हुई थी. अगर हमारे पूर्वजों ने ये गलती न की हुई होती तो आज मदनी जैसे लोग पाकिस्तान में होते. 70 साल पहले की गलती का ये नतीजा है कि लोग गड़वा-ए-हिंद का नारा लगा रहे हैं और आज की पीढी को ये भुगतना पड़ रहा है. मौलाना के भजीते हसन मदनी ने उसी जलसे में कहा कि जो लोग हिन्दू राष्ट्र की मांग कर रहे हैं, वे मुल्क के गद्दार हैं. दूसरी तरफ, बागेश्वर धाम के प्रमुख धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री ने मध्य प्रदेश के सागर में फिर हिन्दू राष्ट्र का नारा लगाया, और कहा का अगर शांति से बात नहीं बनेगी तो हमें राम नाम की क्रांति शुरू करनी पड़ेगी. धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री कथावाचक हैं, वह हिन्दू धर्म का प्रचार करते हैं, चूंकि नई उम्र के हैं, नौजवान हैं, उन्हें देखने सुनने के लिए लाखों लोग पहुंच रहे हैं, इसलिए जल्दी जोश में आ जाते हैं, हिन्दू राष्ट्र की बात पर ज्यादा नारे लगते हैं, ज्यादा तालियां बजती हैं, सभा में जोश पैदा होता है, इसलिए बार बार हिन्दू राष्ट्र की बात करते हैं. उनकी इस बात का विरोध हो सकता है, लेकिन ये कहना है कि “सियार की मां शेर नहीं जनती, भेड़ियों के झुंड से शेर नहीं डरते”, ये ठीक नहीं है. जहां तक मौलाना अरशद मदनी का सवाल है, वो बुजुर्ग हैं, मुसलमानों में उनकी इज्जत है, लोग उनकी बात सुनते हैं, मानते हैं, इसलिए मौलाना मदनी को तो सोच समझ कर बात करनी चाहिए. वो कह रहे हैं कि अगर सत्तर साल पहले कांग्रेस ने यही काम कर दिया होता तो आज कांग्रेस विपक्ष में न होती. वैसे बजरंग दल तो 70 साल पहले बना नहीं था. उस वक्त RSS ही था, कांग्रेस RSS पर बैन लगाकर नतीजा देख चुकी है, राम मंदिर आंदोलन के बाद बजरंग दल पर भी बैन लगाया गया था, उसका नतीजा भी कांग्रेस ने देख लिया. इसलिए मदनी अगर ये उम्मीद कर रहे हैं कि कांग्रेस चने के झाड़ पर चढ़ जाएगी तो ऐसा नहीं हो सकता, मौलाना मदनी को तो ये देखकर अचरज होगा कि कांग्रेस भी आजकल हिन्दुत्व के रास्ते पर चल पड़ी है. सोमवार को कर्नाटक विधानसभा में इसकी झलक दिखाई दी, विधानसबा परिसर में पूजा हुई, गोमूत्र और गंगाजल छिड़क कर विधानसभा का शुद्धिकरण किया गया.
NEW PARLIAMENT: ALL SHOULD WELCOME
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new high-tech Parliament building on May 28 in the presence of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. However, Congress, Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and some other opposition parties have demanded that the President should inaugurate the new building. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, in a series of tweets, said, “The president of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu is not being invited for the inauguration of the new Parliament Building. The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India, and the President is its highest Constitutional authority. She alone represents government, opposition, and every citizen alike. She is the First Citizen of India. …The Office of the President of India is reduced to tokenism under the BJP-RSS government.” In response, BJP supporters released a video which showed the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi laying the foundation stone of Parliament Library building. Congress leaders have also raised question on why the new building is being inaugurated on Veer Savarkar Jayanti, which falls on May 28. I feel, it does not matter who inaugurates the new Parliament building. The difference that should matter is, whether proceedings in the new Parliament will go on smoothly. The difference that should matter is, whether the new Parliament building will be allowed to become a forum for debate on issues of public importance. The difference that should matter is, whether a new Parliament building is at all required. I remember, when Meira Kumar was the Lok Sabha Speaker, it was Congress leader Jairam Ramesh who had supported that a new Parliament building should be built. Those who have visited the present Parliament building know the problems that are being faced. There is acute shortage of space, there is no space for employees to sit, political parties are busy in tug-o-war to get spaces for their offices, the building has an old sound system, during monsoon, there is water seepage, sometimes air-conditioners do not work, there are deep cracks visible in the walls and ceiling. Secondly, the space for MPs has now become smaller. The present building has sitting space for only 543 Lok Sabha MPs. In 2026, when there will be delimitation of Lok Sabha seats, the number may cross 800. The present building will not be able to provide sitting space for so many MPs. Therefore, a new Parliament building was considered necessary. This should have happened much earlier. It goes to the credit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that the building was completed within a record time of 30 months. One must understand, it is not Modi alone, who will sit in the new building. It will provide space to ministers, leaders of parliamentary parties and all staff working for Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats. The parliament of the world’s biggest and liveliest democracy should also be a magnificent one. I, therefore, feel, all political parties should welcome the inauguration of the new parliament building.
OPPOSITION UNITY: STONEWALL FROM CONGRESS
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on Monday as part of his efforts to forge opposition unity. On Sunday, he had met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. The AAP supremo, in turn, is going to Kolkata and Mumbai to seek support from Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar in his fight against the Centre against the recently promulgated Delhi-related ordinance. Nitish Kumar told the Congress leaders the importance of opposition unity before next year’s Lok Sabha elections. He is pressing for early formation of an anti-Modi front, and wants to hold its first meeting in Patna. Congress leaders do not seem to be in a hurry. They are insisting that the parties should first decide on a seat allocation formula, state-wise. Nitish Kumar has been toiling hard since last three months to forge a united opposition front. He has already met Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. The main point is: if Congress does not join the front, all efforts will go waste. It is not difficult to understand the problems of Congress. The grand old party wants to project Rahul Gandhi as prime minister, and to achieve that objective, the party has to contest more than 300 LS seats. But Mamata Banerjee has already said, if Congress wants to fight the LS polls jointly with other parties, it must not expect more than 210 seats. Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Nitish Kumar are ready to give more seats to Congress only in those states where the Congress is in a direct fight against BJP. These ten states are: Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa. These ten states account for a total of only 144 seats. As of today, Congress has only seven and BJP has 132 seats from these ten states. Naturally, Congress will seek more seats from those states, where regional parties are dominant. The question is: why should Mamata Banerjee give more seats to Congress in West Bengal? Why should Akhilesh Yadav leave more seats for Congress in UP? How many seats will Lalu Prasad Yadav give to Congress in Bihar? How many seats will Hemant Soren accommodate for Congress in Jharkhand? This is the main reason why Congress is insisting on finalizing a seat allocation formula first. But, Nitish Kumar is saying, let us all first agree to fight together, seat allocation will be decided later. That is where the ball has stopped rolling. Congress is right now in Cloud Nine, after its clear victory in Karnataka, where it defeated the BJP.
MAULANA MADANI: BAN BAJRANG DAL
The president of Jamiat-Ulama-e-Hind Maulana Arshad Madani has stoked a controversy by saying that since Muslim voters voted en bloc for Congress in Karnataka, the party should now ban the Bajrang Dal, as promised in its election manifesto. At a meeting in Mumbai, the Maulana said, had the Congress taken this step 70 years ago, the party would not have been languishing in the opposition today. He described the proscribed outfit PFI as the “Muslim reaction” to the emergence of Bajrang Dal. BJP leader Giriraj Singh, in a left-handed compliment, said, “the Maulana is right. The mistake was done 70 years ago. Had our forefathers not made the mistake during Partition, people like Madani would not have been living in Pakistan. Those chanting the slogan ‘Gazwa-e-Hind’ are the result of mistakes committed 70 years ago, which the present generation is facing”, he said. The Maulana’s nephew Maulana Hasan Madani went to the extent of saying, those who are demanding Hindu Rashtra are “traitors”. At the opposite end, the chief of Bageshwar Dham, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, who was in Sagar, MP, again gave the call for Hindu Rashtra, and said, “if we can’t achieve this peacefully, we are ready to launch a revolution in the name of Lord Ram”. Dhirendra Krishna Shastri is a young, Hindu religious preacher. Lakhs of devotees turn out to watch him speak. Naturally, young people chant ‘Hindu Rashtra’ slogan out of passion. Most of his devotees clap when he speaks of Hindu Rashtra. His point of view can be opposed but to say that “the mother of a jackal cannot give birth to a lion”, and that “lions do not fear pack of wolves”, is highly unjustified. As far as Maulana Arshad Madani is concerned, he is 82 years old and commands respect among Muslims. People listen to what he speaks and most of them also agree with him. The Maulana should therefore be careful about what he is saying. He is saying, if Congress had banned Bajrang Dal 70 years ago, it would not have been in the opposition today. Bajrang Dal was not formed 70 years ago. At that time, it was the RSS. Congress has seen the consequences of banning RSS. After Ram Janmabhoomi movement, Bajrang Dal was banned and Congress has seen the consequences. So, if Madani expects that Congress will ban Bajrang Dal, it cannot happen. Madani should be surprised to find that even Congress is now walking on the path of Hindutva now. On Monday, ‘pooja’ was performed inside Karnataka assembly premises, and Ganga Jal and Gomutra were sprinkled as a mark of “purification”.
2000 रु. नोट : अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने अब दो हजार के नोट को बंद करने का फैसला किया है. हालांकि घबराने या परेशान होने की जरूरत नहीं है. दो हजार का नोट फिलहाल चलन में रहेगा, आप इससे खरीदारी भी कर सकते हैं, लेकिन अब रिजर्व बैंक न तो दो हजार के नोट बैंकों में सप्लाई करेगा, और न बैंक दो हजार के नोट ग्राहकों को देंगे. जिनके पास दो हजार के नोट हैं वो 23 मई से लेकर 30 सितंबर तक किसी भी बैंक में जाकर दो हजार के नोट बदल सकते हैं, या इन्हें अपने खाते में जमा करवा सकते हैं. यानी 30 सितंबर के बाद देश में सबसे बड़ा करेंसी नोट पांच सौ का होगा. रिज़र्व बैंक ने कहा है कि एक बार में दो हज़ार के दस नोट ही बदले जा सकेंगे. लेकिन अगर आप किसी खाते में जमा कराते हैं, तो इसकी कोई सीमा नहीं दी गई है. देश में दो हजार के नोट का चलन 2016 में शुरू हुआ था. रिज़र्व बैंक ने ये भी साफ किया है कि 2019 में ही दो हज़ार के नोटों की प्रिंटिंग बंद कर दी गई थी. RBI ने अपने नोटिफ़िकेशन में बताया कि दो हज़ार के ज़्यादातर नोट 2017 से पहले ही रिलीज़ किए गए थे, लेकिन मार्केट में इनका चलन कम था. इसलिए 2019 में 2 हजार के नोटों की प्रिटिंग को बंद करने का फैसला किया गया था. रिजर्व बैंक ने अपने नोटिफिकेशन में सारी बात साफ साफ कही है, लेकिन अब कन्फ्यूजन फैलाने की कोशिश हो रही है. विरोधी दलों के नेता इसे दूसरी नोटबंदी के तौर पर पेश कर रहे हैं. कोई दावा कर रहा है कि एक बार फिर बैंकों के बाहर लाइन लगेगी, कोई कह रहा है कि सरकार ने एक बार फिर आम आदमी को परेशान करने का रास्ता खोल दिया. लेकिन हकीकत ये है कि इस वक्त देश में करीब चौतीस लाख करोड़ की करेंसी सर्कुलेशन में हैं, इसमें से सिर्फ तीन लाख 62 हजार करोड़ की करेंसी दो हजार के नोटों में है, यानि करेंसी में दो हजार के नोटों की हिस्सेदारी सिर्फ दस प्रतिशत है. इसलिए रिजर्व बैंक के इस फैसले का असर आम लोगों पर बहुत ज्यादा नहीं होगा. रिजर्व बैंक के इस फैसले पर न घबराने की जरूरत है और न अफवाहों पर ध्यान देने की जरूरत है.
बेगुनाह नहीं हैं समीर वानखेड़े
बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट में शुक्रवार को नारकोटिक्स कंट्रोल ब्यूरो के पूर्व क्षेत्रीय निदेशक समीर वानखेडे़ ने अपनी अर्जी में सुपर स्टार शाहरुख खान द्वारा उन्हें भेजे गए ढेर सारे मैसेज का ज़िक्र किय़ा. इन मैसेज से पता चला कि जब आर्यन को ड्रग्स के इल्जाम में पुलिस कस्टडी में रखा गया था, तो शाहरुख पर क्या बीत रही थी. शाहरुख ने फोन पर बार बार मैसेज भेज कर समीर वानखेड़े से कहा कि मेरा बेटा बेकसूर है. अपने मैसेज में शाहरुख ने बार बार अनुरोध किया कि आर्यन बेगुनाह है, उसके साथ हार्डकोर क्रिमिनल की तरह सलूक ना किया जाए. समीर वानखेड़े ने बॉम्बे हाईकोर्ट में शाहरुख के ये सारे मैसेजेस अपने डिफेंस के तौर पर पेश किए, लेकिन शाहरुख के इन मेसेजेस से असलियत सामने आ गई . CBI की एफआईआर के मुताबिक पूरी साजिश उस वक्त समीर वानखेड़े ने रची थी. सीबीआई ने समीर वानखेड़े के खिलाफ केस दर्ज कर लिया है. अब समीर वानखेडे़ गिरफ्तारी से बचने के लिए अदालतों के चक्कर काट रहे हैं. शुक्रवार को उन्हें थोड़ी राहत मिली भी, हाईकोर्ट ने सोमवार तक वानखेड़े की गिरफ्तारी पर रोक लगा दी है. सीबीआई ने कोर्ट में कहा कि फिलहाल वानखेड़े को गिरफ्तार करने की जरूरत नहीं है, जब जांच उस चरण में पहुंचेगी, तब गिरफ्तारी पर फैसला होगा. लेकिन समीर वानखेड़े को मालूम है कि देर सबेर वो सलाखों के पीछे होंगे. विजिलेंस की रिपोर्ट से साफ है कि वानखेड़े ने शाहरूख खान से 25 करोड़ रुपए वसूलने की कोशिश की थी. बाद में 18 करोड़ रु. देने पर बात बनी. 50 लाख रुपए एडवांस में ले भी लिए हालांकि इसका कुछ हिस्सा बाद में शाहरूख को वापस कर दिया गया. समीर वानखेड़े के खिलाफ सबूत हैं. इसलिए समीर वानखेड़े अब खुद को बेकसूर बताने के लिए कुछ बातें लीक कर रहे हैं. शुक्रवार को उन्होंने शाहरूख खान के साथ उस वक्त भेजे गए मेसेजेस के स्क्रीनशॉट लीक किए. जब मैंने ये messages पढे तो रौंगटे खड़े हो गए. एक पिता के तौर मैं भी सिहर गया. उस वक्त शाहरूख खान की क्या हालत रही होगी.फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में जिसे लोग किंग खान कहते हैं वो शाहरूख, एक अफसर के सामने कितना बेबस था, वो वानखेडे़ से कह रहा था मेरे बेकसूर बेटे पर रहम करें. उसे जेल में न डालें, उसके साथ सख्ती न करें.और उस वक्त समीर वानखेड़े शाहरूख के मैसेज का जवाब तक नहीं दे रहे थे.समीर वानखेड़े जिन messages को अपनी बेगुनाही का सबूत बता रहे हैं, मुझे लगता है कि ये शाहरूख की बेबसी और एक अफसर की ब्लैकमेलिंग का सबसे बड़ा सबूत साबित होगा. आज समीर वानखेड़े जितना बेगुनाह बनने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, उतने भोले वो हैं नहीं. अगर होते तो अपने सीनियर अफसरों के साथ फोन पर हो रही बातचीत को रिकॉर्ड न करते, उसे सेव करके न रखते, अगर भोले भाले होते, तो शाहरूख खान के messages को इस तरह लीक न करते. ये लक्षण भोलेपन के नहीं हैं. हकीकत यही है कि समीर वानखेड़े अच्छी तरह जानते थे कि आर्यन खान बेकसूर है, वो अच्छी तरह जानते थे कि उसके पास से कोई ड्रग्स नहीं मिले, वो ये भी जानते थे कि जब बेटे के जेल जाने की बारी आएगी तो शाहरूख कुछ भी करने के लिए तैयार हो जाएंगे. इसीलिए समीर वानखेड़े ने शाहरूख को ब्लैकमेल किया, 25 करोड़ की वसूली का प्लान बनाया. उन्होंने शाहरूख खान को डराने की हर कोशिश की, एक बेगुनाह बच्चे को जेल में डाला. फोन पर मैसेज एक्सचेंज करके शाहरूख को और डराने की कोशिश की. जिसका भी फोन आया, दिल्ली से या मुंबई से, सबकी बातों को रिकॉर्ड किया और आज कोर्ट के सामने शाहरूख के सारे मैसेजेज और अपने अफसरों के मैसेज को कोर्ट में अपने डिफेंस के तौर पर पेश किया. ये हरकतें किसी सरकारी अफसर की नहीं हो सकती. ऐसी हरकतें ब्लैकमेलर और गैंगस्टर करते हैं. अब चूंकि सीबीआई ने सबूत जुटा लिए हैं.केस रजिस्टर कर लिया है, सीबीआई समीर वानखेड़े को गिरफ्तार करना चाहती है, तो उन्हें भगवान की याद आ रही है. समीर वानखेड़े आज कोर्ट में रहम और न्याय की गुहार लगा रहे हैं. उस समय न्याय और रहम कहां गया था, जब उन्होंने एक बेगुनाह को जेल भेज दिया था ? जब उन्होंने एक मजबूर पिता की बेबसी का फायदा उठाने की कोशिश की? जब उन्होंने 21 साल के नौजवान को हार्डकोर क्रिमिनल की तरह ट्रीट किया था? जाहिर है अब समीर वानखेड़े को डर लग रहा है कि उन्हें अपने गुनाहों के लिए जेल ने जाना पड़ेगा. मेरी नजर में ये मामला इसलिए ज्यादा संगीन है क्योंकि समीर वानखेड़े ने अपने आप को एक ईमानदार अफसर साबित करने की कोशिश की थी, वो एक जिम्मेदार पद पर थे, उन्होंने अपनी पद का दुरुपयोग किया, इसलिए सीबीआई को इस मामले की गहराई से जांच करनी चाहिए और एक नजीर पेश करनी चाहिए कि आगे कोई अफसर इस तरह की हरकत न करे.
अडानी को क्लीन चिट
हिंडनबर्ग केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट की एक्सपर्ट जांच कमेटी ने शुक्रवार को अडानी ग्रुप को क्लीन चिट दे दी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट की 6 सदस्यों की कमेटी ने जो रिपोर्ट सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दी है, उसमें कहा गया है कि पहली नज़र में अडानी ग्रुप ने किसी क़ानून को नहीं तोड़ा है और मार्केट रेग्यूलेटर SEBI ने भी अडानी ग्रुप की तरफ़ से दी गई किसी भी जानकारी को ग़लत नहीं पाया है.सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इसी साल मार्च महीने में रिटायर्ड जस्टिस ए एम सप्रे की अगुवाई में एक्सपर्ट जांच कमेटी बनाई थी. एक्सपर्ट कमेटी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक़, अडानी ग्रुप ने अपनी कंपनियों के शेयर की सेल-पर्चेज़ में कोई हेराफेरी नहीं की. कमेटी ने ये भी कहा कि अडानी ग्रुप में किसी ग़ैरक़ानूनी निवेश के सबूत नहीं मिले हैं. कमेटी ने ये भी कहा कि हिंडनबर्ग रिपोर्ट आने के बाद से शेयर बाज़ार में जो उथल पुथल हुई थी, उसे रोकने के लिए कंपनी ने पूरी ज़िम्मेदारी से क़दम उठाए. जिससे निवेशकों को कोई नुक़सान न हो. हिंडनबर्ग की रिपोर्ट को विरोधी दलों के नेताओं ने सच्चा दस्तावेज मानकर तूफान खड़ा कर दिया था. ऐसे बयान दिए जैसे गौतम अडानी ने इतना बड़ा साम्राज्य सिर्फ हवा में खड़ा कर दिया. अडानी ग्रुप ताड़ के पत्तों पर बना है. गौतम अडानी ने खुद सामने आकर एक एक सवाल का जवाब दिया. ‘आपकी अदालत’ में उन्होंने कहा कि जिंदगी में उन्होंने कभी कोई नियम नहीं तोड़ा. कभी ग़लत रास्ते का सहारा नहीं लिया. जिसको जो जांच करनी हो कर ले. गौतम अडानी ने ‘आपकी अदालत’ में कहा था कि जिन लोगों ने अडानी ग्रुप में इन्वेस्ट किया है, उनका एक भी पैसा नहीं डूबेगा. आज गौतम अडानी सही साबित हुए. हालांकि आज जो रिपोर्ट आई है, वो अन्तिम रिपोर्ट नहीं है. अभी सेबी भी जांच कर रही है और सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सेबी को तीन महीने का और वक्त दिया है. उसके बाद गौतम अडानी पर लगे सारे आरोपों की हकीकत सामने आ जाएगी. लेकिन आज एक्सपर्ट्स की रिपोर्ट से ये तो साफ हो गया कि जो आरोप लगाए जा रहे थे, उनमें दम नहीं है और इस रिपोर्ट पर इल्जाम लगाने वाले भी सवाल नहीं उठा सकते क्योंकि एक्सपर्ट्स की कमेटी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गठित की थी, और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्देश पर ही कमेटी की रिपोर्ट को सार्वजनिक किया गया है.
DO NOT CREATE PANIC OVER RS 2000 NOTES
There should be no confusion about the Reserve Bank of India order announcing withdrawal of Rs 2,000 currency notes from circulation after September 30, 2023. All banks have been directed to exchange these notes for other denominations at bank branches till that date. The RBI order says, these notes will continue to be legal tender till that date. This move comes nearly five and a half years after demonetization of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 currency notes on November 8, 2016. Confusion is sought to be created even after the detailed RBI notification issued on Friday evening. Some opposition leaders are trying to project this as another round of demonetization. Some have claimed there will again be long queues outside banks for exchange of notes. Some have said, this order has created problems for the common people. But the ground reality is that there are at present nearly 34 lakh crore currency notes in circulation, out of which only 3,62,000 currency notes are in Rs 2000 denomination, which comes to less than ten per cent. The RBI order will not impact the daily life of common people. It is not that those having Rs 2,000 notes will have to hurry and get their notes exchanged. They have been given more than four months’ time. Hence, there is no need to create unnecessary panic. One should not listen to rumours.
WANKHEDE HAS EXPOSED HIMSELF BY LEAKING MESSAGES
Former Mumbai zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau Sameer Wankhede has submitted before the Bombay High Court, some messages sent to him by superstar Shahrukh Khan from October 3 to 15, 2021, when the latter’s son Aryan Khan was in custody after the cruise drugs raid. By citing copies of these messages, Wankhede, who is facing CBI action on corruption charges, has sought to argue that “nowhere it suggests” a demand was made for Rs 25 crore from Shahrukh Khan for early release of his son. Wankhede got relief from the vacation judge till Monday, and the CBI has said, it does not intend to arrest him immediately. CBI has filed an FIR against Wankhede, an officer of Indian Revenue Service, two officials, Ashish Ranjan and Vishwa Vijay Singh (already dismissed), and two private individuals, for seeking Rs 25 crore bribe for not implicating Aryan Khan in the drugs seizure case. In the messages, Shahrukh Khan has been shown imploring and begging Wankhede not to implicate his son. Most of the messages convey the deep pain and desperation of a father, which Wankhede has sought to exploit. Wankhede is trying to portray himself as an innocent officer, but he is not so. Had he been innocent, he would not have recorded his confidential conversations with his senior officers, nor would he had leaked the messages that Shahrukh sent him. These are not signs of innocence. The grim reality is that Wankhede knew that Aryan was innocent, he knew that no drugs were found with Aryan, he also knew that when Aryan would be sent to custody, his father Shahrukh would be desperate to go to any extent. Wankhede decided to blackmail Shahrukh, and a plan to extort Rs 25 crore was made. Wankhede made all attempts to intimidate Shahrukh Khan, threw an innocent youth in jail, and tried to strike fear by sending messages on phone. He recorded all messages and calls that he got from Delhi and Mumbai, and on Friday, he produced copies of all messages that he got from Shahrukh and other officials. The aim was to bolster his defence in court. Innocent bureaucrats never go to such extent. Such acts are committed by gangsters or underworld blackmailers. Now that CBI has amassed concrete evidence, and a case has been registered, Wankhede knows he may be arrested, and he is thus seeking God’s blessings, and mercy and justice from court. One may ask why he did not show mercy, when a desperate father was begging him for help, which he disregarded and threw his son into jail? He tried to take advantage of a desperate father, and treated a 21-year-old youth as a hardcore criminal. Wankhede is now afraid. He knows he may have to go to prison for his sins. In my view, this matter is grave because Sameer Wankhede tried to prove himself as an honest officer. He was in a responsible post and he misused his position. CBI should, therefore, probe this matter deeply and set an example so that no officer should commit such acts in future.
CLEAN CHIT TO ADANI
The Supreme Court appointed experts’ committee headed by former SC judge A M Sapre has held that there was no regulatory failure on SEBI’s part, nor did it find any evidence to suggest that the rise in prices of Adani scrips was due to unusual trading, or buying or selling of scrips of Adani group companies by 12 foreign portfolio investors, suspected to be linked to the same group. The six-member experts’ committee has submitted its report to the apex court giving Adani group a clean chit. The report said, Adani group was not found engaged in any manipulation in sale or purchase of group companies’ scrips. The committee has also said that despite the Hindenburg report, the trust of small investors in Adani group of companies ha snot declined. On the other hand, people have invested more money in Adani group scrips. It said, some investors indulged in short-selling after the Hindenburg report came on January 24, but the stock market, on the whole, was stable. The opposition parties had raised a hue and cry and had stalled the entire Parliament session by pressing demand for constituting a joint parliamentary committee to probe the matter. Statements were made that industrialist Gautam Adani had created his empire in thin air, and his entire empire was built on leaves. Gautam Adani himself came before the public ands in ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ show, replied to each and every query. Adani told me in the show that he and his group never violated law or took recourse to illegal methods, and he was ready to face inquiry. He also assured all investors that they would not lose a single paisa. Gautam Adani has now been proved right. The report that was submitted on Friday, is not a final report. SEBI will file its final report before August 14 this year. Only after that, all facts relating to Gautam Adani will come before the people. The experts’ committee report has made one point clear: There is no fact to substantiate the allegations that have been levelled till now. Those who levelled allegations cannot question this report because the experts committee was constituted by the Supreme Court, and it was on the direction of the apex court that the committee’s report was made public.
पाकिस्तान : स्क्रिप्ट वही, किरदार नए
पाकिस्तान में फौज और हुकूमत ने मिल कर इमरान खान के खिलाफ जबरदस्त एक्शन शुरू कर दिया है. लाहौर में इमरान खान के घर को चारों तरफ से घेर लिया गया है, ज़मान पार्क की तरफ जाने वाले सभी रास्ते बंद कर दिए गए हैं, इमरान खान की गिरफ्तारी किसी भी वक्त हो सकती है. इमरान खान के घर के आस-पास से उनके आठ समर्थकों को पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया. पूरे पाकिस्तान में इमरान खान के समर्थकों की गिरफ्तारी चल रही है. पता ये लगा है कि शहबाज शरीफ ने समझौते की आखिरी कोशिश के तौर पर इमरान खान के सामने दो विकल्प रखे थे, इमरान खान को संदेश भेजा गया था कि या तो वो देश छोड़कर चले जाएं, उन्हें सेफ पैसेज दिया जाएगा, और अगर इमरान पाकिस्तान से बाहर नहीं जाते तो फिर उनका कोर्ट मार्शल भी हो सकता है. वो एक्शन के लिए तैयार रहें. इमरान खान ने पाकिस्तान से बाहर जाने से इंकार कर दिया. इसके बाद पंजाब पुलिस और फौज हरकत में आ गई. इमरान खान के साथ दूसरी मुसीबत ये है कि अब एक-एक करके उनकी पार्टी के नेता उनका साथ छोड़ रहे हैं. इमरान खान इस वक्त अपने ही घर में खुद को कैद करके बैठे हैं. पाकिस्तान में जो हालात है उसे देखकर लगता है कि अब पाकिस्तान की फौज और सरकार ने ये तय कर लिया है कि इमरान खान को और मौका नहीं देंगे, या तो इमरान खान पाकिस्तान से बाहर जाएं या फिर जेल जाएं. पाकिस्तान में ये पहले भी होता रहा है. सबसे पहले जनरल अयूब खान ने पाकिस्तान के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति इसकन्दर अली मिर्जा को देश निकाला दिया था. 1958 में मिर्जा को देशनिकाला दिया गया, वो ब्रिटेन जा कर बस गए और 1969 में ईरान में उन्हें दफनाया गया. फिर बेनजीर भुट्टो, आसिफ अली जरदारी , नवाज शरीफ और परवेज़ मुशर्रफ को भी वतन से बाहर भेजा गया. नवाज शरीफ तो इस वक्त भी लंदन में हैं , इसलिए अगर इमरान खान को पाकिस्तान छोड़ने के लिए कहा जा रहा है, तो ये कोई नई बात नहीं हैं. लेकिन इमरान बार बार अपनी तकरीरों में कहते रहे हैं कि वो भागने वाले नहीं हैं, किसी भी कीमत पर मुल्क छोड़कर नहीं जाएंगे, इसलिए अब इमरान खान के लिए इधर कुंआ, उधऱ खाई वाली स्थिति है. शहबाज शरीफ का फॉर्मूला साफ है, फौज के ठिकानों पर हमले के केस का हवाला देकर इमरान खान के समर्थकों को डराया जाए ताकि लोग घरों से बाहर न निकलें, फिर इमरान की पार्टी के बड़े बड़े नेताओं को पकड़ा जाए, जिससे सेंकेड लाइन लीडरशिप घबरा जाए, लोग इमरान का साथ छोड़ दें, इसके बाद इमरान खान जब अलग थलग पड़ जाएं, तो उन्हें कोर्ट मार्शल का डर दिखाकर विदेश भेज दिया जाय, और न मानें तो PTI पर पाबंदी लगाकर इमरान को जेल भेजा जाए. इसी लाइन पर काम हो रहा है. जो काम इमरान खान ने फौज की मदद से नवाज शरीफ के साथ किया था , अब वही सलूक शहबाज शरीफ फौज के साथ मिल कर इमरान खान के साथ कर रहे हैं. पाकिस्तान में स्क्रिप्ट वही रहती है, सिर्फ किरदार बदलते हैं.
कर्नाटक : सरकार गठन की चुनौती
कर्नाटक में कुर्सी का मामला तो सुलझ गया, लेकिन अब मंत्रियों की कुर्सियों के मामले को लेकर सघन चिन्तन जारी है. सिद्धरामैया और डी के शिवकुमार शुक्रवार को दिल्ली पहुंचे और मंत्रिमंडल की सूची पर केन्द्रीय नेताओं से बात की. कल शनिवार को श्री कांतिरवा स्टेडियम, बैंगलुरु में मुख्यमंत्री, उपमुख्यमंत्री और अन्य मंत्री शपथ लेंगे. कांग्रेस को 1989 के बाद पहली बार कर्नाटक में इतनी बड़ी जीत मिली है, लोगों ने पूर्ण बहुमत दिया है, इसलिए सरकार स्थिर होगी, लेकिन ज्यादा वोट मिला, ज्यादा सीटें मिलीं, इसलिए लोगों की और कांग्रेस के नेताओ की अपेक्षाएं भी ज्यादा है. कांग्रेस को हर समुदाय ने दिल खोलकर वोट दिया है, इसलिए सभी वर्गों के नेताओं को उम्मीद है कि उन्हें भी कुछ न कुछ मिलेगा. इसी चक्कर में कलह शुरू होगी. जी. परमेश्वर दलित हैं, वो दलितों का प्रतिनिधित्व मांग रहे हैं, M B पाटिल लिंगायत है, वो कह रहे हैं कि लिंगायतों का सम्मान होना चाहिए. मुस्लिमों ने एकमुश्त वोट कांग्रेस को दिया वो भी सरकार में हिस्सेदारी चाहते हैं. अगले साल लोकसभा चुनाव हैं. कांग्रेस पूरी कोशिश करेगी कि सभी वर्गों को खुश किया जाए. लेकिन ये काम सिद्धरामैया के लिए आसान नहीं होगा. इसके बाद उन्हें वो पांच गारंटीज भी पूरी करनी है जो उन्होंने चुनाव से पहले दी थीं. इसलिए मुझे लगता है कि खरगे ने चीफ मिनिस्टर की कुर्सी का झगड़ा सुलझाकर एक चुनौती को तो पार कर लिया लेकिन अब कांग्रेस की असली अग्नि परीक्षा सरकार के गठन के बाद शुरू होगी. दूसरी बात, कर्नाटक की जीत और सरकार के गठन के मौके का इस्तेमाल 2024 में मोदी विरोधी मोर्चे की एकजुटता दिखाने के लिए किया जाएगा. मुझे याद है जब पिछली बार कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस के समर्थन से एच.डी. कुमारस्वामी की सरकार बनी थी, उस वक्त मंच पर सोनिया गांधी, ममता बनर्जी और मायावती के अलावा अखिलेश यादव, चन्द्रबाबू नायडू, केसीआर, अरविन्द केजरीवाल और फारूक़ अब्दुल्ला जैसे तमाम नेता एक मंच पर आए थे. इस बार भी वे सारे होंगे. कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस को इस बात की सावधानी बरतनी है कि यहां राजस्थान जैसा हाल ना हो जाए.
गहलोत, पायलट के समर्थकों के बीच मुक्केबाज़ी
अब राजस्थान में अशोक गहलोत और सचिन पायलट की सियासी जंग सड़क पर आ गई है. अजमेर में गुरुवार को गहलोत और पायलट के समर्थक आपस में भिड़ गए, नारेबाजी हुई, हाथापाई हुई और उसके बाद मारपीट की नौबत आ गई. दोनों तरफ के लोगों ने एक दूसरे पर मुक्के बरसाए. अजमेर में कांग्रेस पार्टी की मीटिंग थी, जिसमें राजस्थान की सह-प्रभारी अमृता धवन पार्टी के जिला स्तरीय नेताओं से फीडबैक लेने पहुंची थीं. गहलोत के करीबी रामचंद्र चौधरी और धर्मेंद्र राठौड़ के समर्थक पहले से ही वहां पहुंच गए और आगे की सीटों पर कब्जा कर लिया, इसके बाद जब सचिन पायलट के करीबी महेंद्र सिंह रलावता के समर्थक वहां पहुंचे, तो उन्हें अंदर घुसने से रोका गया. इसी बात पर विवाद हो गया, नारेबाजी हुई,मारपीट हुई, लात-घूंसे चलने लगे. असल में, राजस्थान में अब गहलोत और पायलट, दोनों गुटों के लोग अपनी-अपनी ताकत दिखाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, इसीलिए कभी नारेबाजी की जा रही है, तो कभी एक दूसरे पर आरोप लगाए जा रहे हैं. कांग्रेस इस बात को अच्छी तरह समझती है कि राजस्थान में अगर गहलोत और पायलट इसी तरह टकराते रहे, सड़कों पर तमाशा बनता रहा, तो अगला चुनाव जीतना मुश्किल बन जाएगा. पिछली बार ये दोनों मिलकर लड़े थे, पूरी ताकत लगाई थी तो भी राजस्थान में कम अन्तर से जीत हासिल हुई थी. लेकिन अब दोनों नेताओं के अहं का सवाल है, गहलोत कुर्सी छोड़ना नहीं चाहते और पायलट अब और इंतजार करना नहीं चाहते. यहां भी कर्नाटक जैसा सुलह का कोई फॉर्मूला निकलता, तो कांग्रेस के लिए अच्छा होता. लेकिन अब कोई रास्ता निकलना मुश्किल लगता है.
IMRAN KHAN VERSUS ARMY
With the 24-hour deadline to hand over ‘terrorists’ hiding in former Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s Lahore residence in Zaman Park over, the stage is set for an army-led operation to storm the place. Punjab Police, Rangers and other security personnel waited for the Friday prayers to be over, before entering the former PM’s residence. The entire locality has been surrounded and all roads leading to Zaman Park have been closed to public. Meanwhile, a nationwide crackdown is going in with police nabbing all leaders, activists and supporters of Imran Khan’s party Tehreek-i-Insaaf. Meanwhile, the courts have granted bail to Imran Khan in all cases related to May 9 violence. Sources said, PM Shahbaz Sharif’s government offered Imran Khan the option to either take a safe passage and leave Pakistan, or face action under Army Act. Imran Khan said, he was ready to negotiate about holding general elections , but at the same time, made it clear that no talks are going on in that direction, as of now. The former PM is facing a huge crisis, with most of his party leaders and activists deserting him to avoid police and army action. Imran Khan has alleged that the army and government are trying to decimate his party. Watching the fast-paced developments in Pakistan, it seems the army and government have made up their mind not to give Imran Khan any more chance. The establishment wants either Imran Khan to leave Pakistan immediately, or cool his heels inside jail. This has been the norm for past rulers in Pakistan. General Ayub Khan, after the military coup in 1958, forced Pakistan’s first President Iskander Mirza to quit the country. Mirza had to go to the UK and was buried in Iran in 1969. Among other leaders, Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and Gen Pervez Musharraf had to leave Pakistan and settle abroad. Nawaz Sharif is still in London. Asking Imran Khan to quit Pakistan is not new. Imran Khan has been saying that he was not going to leave Pakistan, at any cost. For Imran Khan, it is now a choice between the cauldron and the fire. Shahbaz Sharif’s formula is quite clear. The establishment wants to intimidate Imran’s supporters citing violent attacks on army installations on May 9. This action will prevent the masses from coming out on the streets in support of Imran. Secondly, top leaders of Imran’s party are now being arrested, creating panic in the second line ranks. The establishment wants that once Imran Khan finds himself isolated, he could be intimidated to leave Pakistan under threat of being arraigned before an army court. If he refuses, he will be jailed and will face sedition charges before an army court. Already, five army courts have been set up to prosecute the offenders of May 9 violence. The government and the army are working in this direction. Imran Khan is facing a déjà vu with a difference. In the past, he had punished Nawaz Sharif and his relatives and supporters, with the help of the army, and now Nawaz Sharif’s brother is repaying him in the same coin, with the help of the army, of course. In Pakistan, the script remains the same, only the actors change.
GOVERNMENT FORMATION IN KARNATAKA
Karnataka will have its Congress government on May 20 with a grand swearing-in ceremony at Sree Kantirava stadium, Bengaluru. Both the CM-designate Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM-designate D K Shivakumar met with senior party leadership on Friday to finalize the list of ministers. They met the Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot on Thursday night and staked claim to form the government. This is the first big victory for Congress in Karnataka since 1989. The party has won absolute majority and there are indications that the government will remain stable. The people of the state have much expectations, as every community voted for the Congress. Leaders from different communities expect to get their due share in governance. G. Parameshwar, a Dalit leader, is seeking proper representation for Dalits in the government. M.B.Patil belongs to Lingayat community, and he wants that the community must get due respect in government. Most of the Muslim voters voted en bloc for Congress this time, and their leaders, too, want a good representation. Lok Sabha elections are due next year, and the Congress will try to keep all sections happy. For Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the path will not be easy. First, he has to fulfil the “five guarantees” that the party gave in its manifesto. The real test will now come after the government formation is over. Secondly, the oath taking ceremony will be used by the Congress to display unity in anti-Modi front. I remember, when H D Kumaraswamy was sworn in as head of JD(S)-Congress coalition government five years ago in 2018, Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, N Chandrababu Naidu, K Chandrasekhar Rao, Arvind Kejriwal and Dr Farooq Abdullah were present on the dais. This time, too, most of these leaders will be present.
GEHLOT VERSUS PILOT IN RAJASTHAN
Supporters of Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and dissident leader Sachin Pilot came to blows at a meeting in Ajmer on Thursday. Slogans were raised and the two camps exchanged blows. These supporters had gathered at a meeting where co-incharge of Rajasthan Amrita Dhawan had gone to collected feedback from district level leaders. Gehlot’s associate Ramchandra Chaudhary and Dharmendra Rathore reached the venue with their supporters and occupied the front row. When Pilot’s supporter Mahendra Singh Ralawata came with his supporters, they were stopped from entering, leading to quarrel. The situation went out of control, and both sides exchanged blows. Not a single top leader from Congress was present. In Jaipur, supporters of chief minister Ashok Gehlot changed slogan ‘I Love You Gehlot’. This was an imitation of Pilot’s supporters chanting the slogan ‘I Love You Sachin Pilot’. Both sides are engaged in showing off their clout. Senior Congress leaders know that if Gehlot and Pilot camps continue to fight each other, it could be difficult for the party to retain power in the Rajasthan assembly polls due by the end of this year. Five years ago, both the sides joined hands and brought the party to power, though it was a marginal victory, but now it’s a question of ego for both leaders. Gehlot is unwilling to quit his chair, and Pilot is unwilling to wait anymore. Chances of a rapprochement appear to be bleak.
कर्नाटक में सीएम को लेकर खींचतान खत्म
चार दिन तक चली माथापच्ची के बाद, कांग्रेस ने गुरुवार को ऐलान किया कि पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धरामैया कर्नाटक के अगले मुख्यमंत्री बनेंगे और डी के शिवकुमार उपमुख्यमंत्री बनेंगे। नये मंत्रिमंडल का शपथ समारोह 20 मई को दोपहर साढे़ बारह बजे श्री कान्तिरवा स्टेडियम, बैंगलुरु में होगा. कांग्रेस महासचिव के सी वेणुगोपाल ने कहा कि डी के शिवकुमार अगले साल लोकसभा चुनाव तक प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष पद पर बने रहेंगे. उन्होंने यह नहीं बताया कि सीएम पद को लेकर दोनों नेताओं के बीच किस फॉर्मूले पर सहमति हुई है. बुधवार रात तक, डीके शिवकुमार सीएम पद के सवाल पर अड़े हुए थे लेकिन गांधी परिवार की तरफ से दबावों के बाद उन्होंने मान लिया. कांग्रेस के सामने कर्नाटक में चुनावी वादों को पूरा करने के साथ-साथ अगले साल होने जा रहे लोकसभा चुनावों में कर्नाटक से अच्छे नतीजे लाने की चुनौती है. 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस को कर्नाटक की कुल 28 लोकसभा सीटों में से सिर्फ एक सीट पर जीत हासिल हुई थी. ये सीट डीके शिवकुमार के भाई डीके सुरेश ने जीता था. कांग्रेस आला कमान को पता है कि अच्छे नतीजे लाने के लिए पार्टी के सभी नेताओं को मिल जुल कर काम करने की ज़रूरत है. अब चूंकि समझौता हो गया है, पार्टी को उम्मीद है कि लोकसभा चुनाव में भी उसे अच्छे नतीजे हासिल होंगे.
बागेश्वर धाम प्रमुख की बिहार यात्रा
बागेश्वर धाम के प्रमुख धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री चार दिन बिहार में हनुमंत कथा करने के बाद लौट गये. जब वह एयरपोर्ट से रवाना होने वाले थे, उस वक्त हजारों श्रद्धालु एयरपोर्ट के अन्दर पहुंच गए. बुधवार को पटना के डाकबंगला चौराहे पर धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री के पोस्टरों पर कालिख पुती हुई नज़र आई और कुछ पोस्टरों पर ‘420’ लिखा हुआ मिला. बीजेपी नेता मनोज तिवारी और विजय सिन्हा ने पोस्टर पर कालिख पोतने वालों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की. जवाब में आरजेडी नेता मृतुयंजय तिवारी ने कहा कि बीजेपी को चाहिए, वह अगले चुनाव में धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री को मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए अपने प्रत्याशी के रूप में पेश करे. धीरेंद्र कृष्ण शास्त्री अब गुजरात जाएंगे. कुल मिला कर बिहार में धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री के नाम पर जो सियासत हुई, जो बयानबाजी हुई, उससे तीन बातें साफ हैं. एक, तेजप्रताप यादव ने कहा था कि बागेश्वर वाले धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री को बिहार में नहीं घुसने देंगे, धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री बिहार गए, चार दिन रुके, कथा की, दरबार लगाया और उनको देखने सुनने के लिए इतनी भीड़ जुटी कि तेजप्रताप यादव और आरजेडी के दूसरे नेता चुपचाप तमाशा देखने पर मजबूर हो गए. दो,आरजेडी के नेता धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री पर संविधान और कानून के खिलाफ बात करने का इल्जाम लगा रहे हैं, लेकिन धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री की लोकप्रियता को देखते हुए, बिहार में सरकार होने के बाद भी, आरजेडी और जेडीयू के नेता उनके खिलाफ FIR दर्ज कराने की, कार्रवाई करवाने की, हिम्मत नहीं दिखा पाए. तीन, जब आरजेडी के नेताओं ने धीरेन्द्र कृष्ण शास्त्री को ‘मदारी’, ‘लोगों को बेवकूफ बनाने वाला’, ‘ढोंगी’ कहा, तो जवाब में धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री ने “सेम टू यू” कह दिया. कथा के चौथे दिन जब धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री के पोस्टर्स पर कालिख पोती गई, तो जवाब में बागेश्वर धाम वाले बाबा ने कहा कि पोस्टर फाड़ सकते हैं, कालिख पोत सकते हैं लेकिन बिहार के लोगों के दिल से कैसे निकाल सकते हैं ? धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री ने अपनी हाजिरजवाबी से दिखा दिया कि वाकपटुता में वो नेताओं से ज्यादा चतुर हैं, धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री कथा करके पटना से लौट आए, कोई उन्हें नहीं रोक पाया. बेहतर तो ये होता आरजेडी और जेडीयू के नेता भी धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री की कथा में शामिल होते, विरोध में बयान देने की बजाए खामोश रहते, तो शायद न बाबा को बोलने का मौका मिलता और न बीजेपी के नेताओं को.
त्रयम्बकेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग को अपवित्र करने की कोशिश
महाराष्ट्र की शिव सेना-बीजेपी सरकार ने नासिक के त्रयम्बकेश्वर मंदिर में 13 मई की रात को कुछ मुस्लिम युवाओं द्वारा घुसने की कोशिश के मामले की जांच स्पेशल इनवेस्टिगेशन टीम से कराने का ऐलान किया है. दस से बारह मुसलिम युवा हरे रंग की चादर और फूल लेकर मंदिर के प्रांगण में घुसने की कोशिश करने लगे, लेकिन जब सुरक्षा कर्मियों ने उन्हें रोका, तो वे सब कुछ छोड़ कर भाग गए. मंगलवार को हिन्दू संगठनों ने गोदावरी जल और गोमूत्र से मंदिर का शुद्धिकरण किया और सात नदियों के जल से ज्योतिर्लिंग का अभिषेक किय़ा. इस मंदिर में गैर-हिन्दुओं का प्रवेश वर्जित है. चार लोगों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज हुआ है, जिनमें पास की एक दरगाह के केयरटेकर मतीन सैयद और सलीम सैयद के नाम शामिल हैं. मतीन सैयद ने कहा कि वो हर साल मंदिर के मुख्य द्वार के बाहर लोबान जलाते हैं, क्योंकि मंदिर में आने वाले हजारों श्रद्धालुओं से उनकी आजीविका चलती है. मंगलवार को हिन्दू संगठनों ने शिवाजी चौक पर प्रदर्शन किया. मंदिर के आसपास सुरक्षा बढा दी गयी है. हिन्दू संगठनों की मांग है कि शरारत करने वालों के खिलाफ मकोका कानून के तहत मामला दर्ज हो. शिव सेना (उद्धव) के नेता संजय राउत ने कहा कि यह बीजेपी की साज़िश लगती है, लेकिन बीजेपी के नेता तुषार भोसले ने कहा कि शिव सेना (उद्धव) हिन्दू विरोधी पार्टी बन चुकी है और उन्हें लगता है कि संजय राउत भी हिन्दू धर्म छोड चुके हैं. एनसीपी नेता छगन भुजबल ने कहा कि अतीत में कई बार मुस्लिम कलाकार इस मंदिर के प्रांगण में गीत-संगीत के कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत कर चुके हैं, लेकिन उस वक्त किसी ने सवाल नहीं उठाया. भुजबल ने आरोप लगाया कि बीजेपी असली मुद्दों से ध्यान भटकाने की कोशिश कर रही है. त्रयम्बकेश्वर बारह ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है, करोड़ों हिन्दुओं की आस्था का केन्द्र है, इसलिए ऐसे पवित्र स्थान पर गड़बड़ी की अगर कीशिश होती है, तो लोगों की भावनाएं भड़कना स्वाभाविक है. ये अच्छी बात है कि देवेन्द्र फड़नवीस ने बिना देर किए इस मामले की जांच के आदेश दिए, SIT का गठन कर दिया. जिन लोगों पर मंदिर में घुसने की कोशिश का आरोप लगा, उन लोगों ने भी सामने आकर सफाई दी है. मुझे लगता है कि अब जांच रिपोर्ट का इंतजार करना चाहिए और इस मामले में सियासत बंद होनी चाहिए.
KARNTAKA CRISIS RESOLVED
After four days of hectic parleys, the Congress on Thursday announced, former CM Siddaramaiah will take oath as the next chief minister of Karnataka, while state party president D K Shivakumar will be sworn in as deputy chief minister. The new cabinet will be sworn in on May 20 at 12.30 pm in Bengaluru, said party general secretary K C Venugopal. Shivakumar will continue as state party president till 2024 Lok Sabha polls are over, he said. He did not reveal the power-sharing formula agreed upon between the two claimants for CM post. Till Wednesday night, Shivakumar was adamant and wanted the chief minister’s post for himself, but he later relented due to pressures from Gandhi family. Apart from fulfilling electoral promises, the Congress wants to come out with a good result from Karnataka in next year’s Lok Sabha elections. In the 2019 LS polls, Congress won only one out of a total of 28 LS seats. The lone seat was won by D K Shivakumar’s brother D K Suresh. The Congress high command knows that for scoring a good result in LS polls, the party leaders will have to work unitedly. Now that the rapprochement has taken place, the party hopes for the best in next year’s LS polls.
BAGESHWAR DHAM CHIEF’S BIHAR VISIT
Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri left Bihar after a four-day visit, with thousands of devotees following him to the airport tarmac. On Wednesday, posters of Shastri were found blackened and defaced with the numerals ‘420’ written on some of them. BJP leaders Manoj Tiwari and Vijay Sinha demanded action against those who defaced the posters. In reply, RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari challenged BJP to project Dhirendra Krishna Shastri as its chief ministerial candidate in Bihar. Shastri will now visit Gujarat. Three points are clear from the political comments made by Bihar politicians: One, Lalu Yadav’s Tej Pratap Yadav had threatened not to allow Shastri to enter Bihar, but the latter came, stayed for four days in Bihar and gave sermons at his ‘durbar’. Huge crowds assembled at the pandal, while RJD leaders watched the spectacle silently. Two, RJD leaders levelled charges against Shastri for violating the Constitution and laws, but looking at his huge popularity, they could not summon the courage to file FIR or take action against him. Three, when a senior RJD leader described Dhirendra Krishna Shastri as a ‘madaari’ (juggler) fooling the people, Shastri replied: ‘Same to you’. When the baba was told that his posters were defaced and blackened, he replied, ‘how can anybody erase the faith of our devotees?’ Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s replies are quick-witted, and through such repartees, he silenced his political rivals. He carried on with his sermons and left Bihar, and nobody could stop him. It could have been better if RJD and JD-U leaders had attended his discourse and remained silent instead of making political comments. Shastri would then have been deprived of his chance to make his quick repartees.
‘UNHOLY’ ACT AT TRIMBAKESHWAR SHRINE
The Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra has formed a Special Investigation Team to probe how a group of Muslim youths tried to enter the famous Trimbakeshwar temple, in Nashik, considered a holy Jyotirlinga shrine by Hindus, on May 13 night. The youths, numbering 10 to 12, tried to enter the sanctum sanctorum by carrying a green ‘chadar’ and a sheet of flowers, but on seeing security guards, they quickly left the place. On Tuesday, the temple was ‘purified’ with holy Godavari water and cow urine, and the jyotirlinga was washed with water brought from seven rivers. Entry of non-Hindus is barred in this shrine. An FIR has been filed against four persons, including a Muslim dargah caretaker Matin and Salim Syed. Matin Syed said, ‘sandal yatra’ takes place every year on behalf of Muslims till the main gate of the temple, but Hindu leaders say, nobody is allowed to enter the shrine. Matin Syed said, their livelihood depends upon devotees who visit the shrine daily, and every year they offer ‘lobaan’ (frankincense) outside the temple. Hindu outfit activists staged protests at Shivaji Chowk on Tuesday, and security at the shrine has now been beefed up. Hindu outfits are demanding action under MCOCA Act against those who violated the sanctity of the shrine. Shiv Sena (Uddhav) leader Sanjay Raut said, this was a BJP conspiracy. BJP leader Tushar Bhosale replied, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) has now become an anti-Hindu party and it seems Sanjay Raut has stopped being a Hindu. NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal said, several Muslim artistes had performed in the temple premises in the past, but nobody raised the issue at that time. He also alleged that the BJP was trying to divert attention from real issues. Trimbakeshwar is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas spread across India, and is considered holy by millions of Hindus. If any mischief occurs at a holy shrine, the sentiments of Hindus are hurt. It is a good thing that Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis immediately ordered SIT probe, and those who tried to enter have also come forward with their versions. One should wait for the inquiry report and there should be no politics on this score.
कर्नाटक में सस्पेंस बरकरार
कर्नाटक के नतीजे आए चार दिन हो चुके हैं, लेकिन अभी तक ये तय नहीं हो पाया है कि मुख्यमंत्री कौन बनेगा. बुधवार को मुख्यमंत्री पद के दोनों मुख्य दावेदार – सिद्धरामैया और डी के शिवकुमार ने सोनिया और राहुल गांधी और पार्टी अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खर्गे से मुलाकात की, लेकिन अभी तक कोई औपचारिक ऐलान नहीं हुआ है, हालांकि मीडिया की खबरों के मुताबिक, सिद्धरामैया सीएम बनेंगे, और शिवकुमार डिप्टी सीएम पद के साथ कई महत्वपूर्ण विभाग संभालेंगे. पार्टी प्रवक्ता रणदीप सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि 48 से 72 घंटे के अन्दर नयी सरकार शपथ लेगी. सिद्धरामैया कह रहे हैं कि 90 से ज्यादा विधायक उनके साथ हैं, उन्हें मुख्यमंत्री बनाना चाहते हैं, जबकि डीके शिवकुमार कह रहे हैं कि सभी 135 विधायक उनके हैं, कांग्रेस पार्टी उनकी मां है, और मां अच्छी तरह समझती है कि उसके बच्चे को क्या चाहिए, इसलिए वो कुछ नहीं कहेंगे, कुछ नहीं मांगेंगे, न किसी की पीठ में छुरा घोंपेंगे और न बगावत करेंगे । मुख्यमंत्री का नाम तय करने के लिए कांग्रेस के बड़े नेताओं को मशक्कत करनी पड़ रही है, इसमें कोई नई बात नहीं है. जब भी कोई पार्टी विषम परिस्थितियों में जीतती है, लंबी लड़ाई के बाद सफलता हासिल करती है तो जीत के कई दावेदार होते हैं. कर्नाटक में दो दावेदार तो सामने दिखाई दे रहे हैं, कई पर्दे के पीछे हैं, इसलिए फैसला करना आसान नहीं होगा. सिद्धरामैया का दावा है कि उनके साथ ज्यादा एमएलए हैं, डीके का दावा है कि जीत में उनका योगदान ज्यादा है. सिद्धरामैया की अपील है कि उम्र को देखते हुए उनके लिए आखिरी मौका है, डीके का कहना है कि गांधी परिवार के प्रति उनकी लॉयल्टी को देखते हुए चांस तो उनका बनता है. मुझे लगता है कि एक दो दिन में मामला सुलझ जाएगा. कांग्रेस ऐसी गलती नहीं करना चाहती कि एक और राजस्थान खड़ा हो जाए. इसलिए सोच-विचार करके टाइम लगाकर ही फैसला करने में समझदारी है.

बिहार में धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री के दरबार ने सियासत को गरम कर दिया है. जेडी-यू और आरजेडी के नेताओं ने धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री पर हमले शुरू कर दिए हैं. लालू यादव ने कहा कि ये कोई बाबा नहीं है, आरजेडी नेता जगदानंद सिंह ने कहा कि मदारी भी डुगडुगी बजाता है, तो भीड़ जुट जाती है इसलिए धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री के दरबार में भीड़ जुटना कौन सी बड़ी बात है. जवाब में गिरिराज सिंह ने कहा कि जो लोग जालीदार टोपी लगाकर इफ्तार पार्टियों में जाते हैं, उन्हें हनुमान कथा कहने वाला जोकर ही लगेगा. धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री को लेकर इस तरह की खूब बयानबाजी हुई. धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री की कथा से ज्यादा चर्चा उनको लेकर हुई राजनीति पर हो रही है, लेकिन धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री अपने काम में लगे हैं, और उन्हें सुनने देखने के लिए जिस तरह से लाखों की भीड़ उमड़ी है, उसे देखकर हर कोई हैरान है. दिन हो या रात, कथास्थल हो या बाबा का होटल, पटना में चारों तरफ सिर्फ बाबा के भक्तों की भीड़ दिख रही है, ट्रैफिक जाम है. भयानक गर्मी में लोग बाबा की एक झलक पाने के इंतजार में कई कई घंटों से सड़क पर खड़े हैं. लालू यादव के बेटे और बिहार सरकार में मंत्री तेजप्रताप यादव ने कहा कि धीरेंद्र शास्त्री बिहार के लोगों को गाली दे रहे हैं, सबको पागल कह रहे हैं, उनके प्रोग्राम में लोगों की तबीयत खराब हो रही है, ऐसा इंसान कोई बाबा नहीं हो सकता. तेजप्रताप ने कहा कि बिहार में आकर बिहारियों को गाली देने वालों को हमेशा याद रखना चाहिए कि गाली देने वालों पर श्रीकृष्ण ने सुदर्शन चक्र चलाया था. गिरिराज सिंह को जवाब देने में मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने देरी नहीं की. नीतीश कुमार से जब ये पूछा गया कि बाबा के दरबार से भारत को हिंदू राष्ट्र बनाने की बात कही जा रही है, तो नीतीश ने कहा कि ये फिजूल की बातें हैं, वो इस पर ध्यान भी नहीं देते. एक बात नोट करने वाली है. तेजप्रताप यादव ने पहले धमकी दी थी कि वो धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री को बिहार में घुसने नहीं देंगे लेकिन जब धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री की कथा के पंडाल लगे, उनके पहुंचने से पहले ही लाखों की संख्या में भक्त पहुंच गए , तो लोगों की तादाद देखकर तेजप्रताप खामोश हो गए. लेकिन आरजेडी के एक नेता ने उन्हें मदारी कह दिया, जेडीयू के नेताओं ने भी कटाक्ष किए . मुझे हैरानी है जिस व्यक्ति के लिए लाखों लोग पहुंचे, दिन हो या रात, मैदान हो या होटल, लोगों की ऐसी दीवानगी दिखाई दी, भारी गर्मी में बिना सुविधाओं के लोग बागेश्वर धाम के बाबा के लिए पहुंचे, जब किसी के पास इतना जन समर्थन हो , तो उसका विरोध करने की क्या जरूरत? धीरेंद्र शास्त्री का विरोध इसलिए किया जा रहा है कि उनकी कथा में मंच पर बीजेपी के बड़े-बड़े नेता पहुंचे? क्या सिर्फ इसलिए आरोप लगाया गया कि बीजेपी माहौल खराब करने के लिए धार्मिक उन्माद पैदा करने के लिए धीरेन्द्र शास्त्री को बिहार लाई है? इससे ज्यादा समझदारी तो मध्यप्रदेश में नेताओं ने दिखाई थी,जहां शिवराज सिंह चौहान और कमलनाथ दोनों बागेश्वर धाम पहुंचे थे.
धर्मांतरण के ज़रिए आतंक
मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने युवकों और युवतियों का ब्रेनबॉश करके उनका धर्मपरिर्वतन कराने वाले एक गिरोह को पकड़ा है . इस गिरोह में शामिल 16 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है . मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा कि वो मध्य प्रदेश में एक और केरला स्टोरी नहीं बनने देंगे. 11 लोगों को भोपाल से और पांच लोगों को हैदराबाद से गिरफ्तार किया गया है. इन लोगों पर हिन्दुओं को बहला फ़ुसलाकर इस्लाम क़ुबूल करवाने का इल्जाम है. दावा ये किया गया है कि ये सारे लोग हिज़्ब उत तहरीर नाम के कट्टरपंथी इस्लामिक संगठन के लिए काम कर रहे थे. ये संगठन दुनिया के पचास देशों में फैला है, इसके 10 लाख से ज्यादा सक्रिय सदस्य हैं और इस संगठन को ISIS से भी ज्यादा कट्टर माना जाता है . सरकार ने केस की जांच मध्य प्रदेश के एंटी टेरर स्क्वॉड (ATS) को सौंपी है. ATS ने भोपाल से जिन 11 लोगों को अरेस्ट किया है, इनमें से तीन ऐसे हैं, जो हिंदू और जैन धर्म छोड़कर इस्लाम में कनवर्ट हुए थे. और इसके बाद इन तीनों ने चार हिंदू लड़कियों को इस्लाम क़ुबूल कराया था, उनके नाम बदल दिए और उनसे शादी कर ली. तेलंगाना की पुलिस ने हैदराबाद से पांच लोगों को गिरफ़्तार किया. गिरफ़्तार लोगों में कोई सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर है, तो कोई जिम ट्रेनर, कोई कोचिंग सेंटर चला रहा था, तो कोई कंप्यूटर टेक्निशियन है. 11 आरोपी भोपाल के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में रह रहे थे. पुलिस का दावा है कि इन लोगों ने मध्य प्रदेश के रायसेन ज़िले में हथियारों की ट्रेनिंग का एक कैंप भी लगाया था. सारे लोग, कट्टरपंथी मुस्लिम प्रचारक ज़ाकिर नाइक से प्रेरित थे. मध्य प्रदेश के गृह मंत्री नरोत्तम मिश्र ने कहा कि ये मामला तो लव जिहाद से भी आगे की बात है. ऊंचे तबक़े के पढ़े लिखे लोग, बहला फुसलाकर धर्म परिवर्तन करा रहे थे, लोगों को जिहाद के लिए तैयार कर रहे थे. नरोत्तम मिश्र ने बताया कि पकड़ा गया एक आरोपी, हैदराबाद में ओवैसी के छोटे भाई के कॉलेज में काम करता था. मध्य प्रदेश ATS की अब तक की जांच में पता चला है कि गिरफ़्तार तीन लोग इस्लाम में कनवर्ट हो चुके थे. वेणु कुमार, अब्बास अली बन गया था. देवीप्रसाद पांडे ने इस्लाम कबूल करके अपना नाम अब्दुर्रहमान रख लिया था. ये दोनों हैदराबाद में रह रहे थे, जबकि सौरभ राजवैद्य मुहम्मद सलीम बन गया था. उसने इस्लाम क़ुबूल कर लिया उसके बाद उसने मानसी नाम की लड़की से शादी की और उसका भी धर्म परिवर्तन करा दिया. मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस ने जो खुलासा किया है, उसमें नोट करने वाली बात ये है कि धर्म परिवर्तन का धंधा तेरह साल से चल रहा था. सौरभ राजवैद्य ने 2010 में इस्लाम कबूल किया था ,इसके बाद वो खुद धर्म परिवर्तन कराने के खेल में शामिल हो गया, कई हिन्दू लड़कों और लड़कियों को इस्लाम कबूल करवाया, इसीलिए मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस का कहना है कि अभी तो सिर्फ 16 लोग पकड़े गए हैं, जांच आगे बढ़ेगी तो और भी मामले सामने आएंगे. हालांकि अब कुछ लोग ये कहेंगे कि संविधान हर नागरिक को अपनी मर्जी के हिसाब से किसी भी धर्म को फॉलो करने की आजादी देता है, तो अगर कोई हिन्दू इस्लाम कबूल करता है तो गलत क्या है ? ये बात सही भी है, लेकिन ये भी सही है कि साजिश के तहत, लालच देकर, बहला फुसलाकर या दबाव बनाकर किसी का धर्म परिवर्तन कराने की इजाजत संविधान नहीं देता. मध्य प्रदेश में जो मामला सामने आया है उससे लगता है कि लोगों को गुमराह करके देश विरोधी गतिविधियों में शामिल करने की साजिश के तहत इस्लाम कबूल करवाया गया, इसलिए इस मामले की पूरी जांच होनी चाहिए और हकीकत सामने आनी ही चाहिए, क्योंकि इस तरह की हरकतों से देश का माहौल खराब होता है.
KARNATAKA: THE SUSPENSE CONTINUES
The suspense over the post of chief minister in Karnataka continued on Wednesday with both claimants Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar meeting Congress leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, amidst media reports that Siddaramaiah may be made the CM and Shivakumar may become deputy CM with several plum portfolios. Later reports said, Shivakumar does not want Siddaramaiah to become the CM. The situation continues to be fluid with no formal announcement made till afternoon. The Sri Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru is being kept ready for the oathtaking ceremony. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said, the oathtaking ceremony will take place within the next 48 to 72 hours. He said, talks for the post of CM are still continuing and no final decision has yet been taken. The top Congress leadership is trying its best to work out an amicable agreement. This is not a new phenomenon. Whenever the Congress wins after fighting a long battle, several leaders try to claim credit for the victory. The two main claimants are known to all, but there are some others behind closed doors. Taking a decision may not be easy for the high command. Siddaramaiah claims he has the majority support of newly elected MLAs, while D K Shivakumar claims that his contribution to the party’s victory is big. Siddaramaiah wants a last chance to become CM, given his age, while DK Shivakumar says, his loyalty to the Gandhi family must be taken note of. A solution may be reached within a day or two. Congress does not want to commit any mistake that can create a Rajasthan type crisis.
CONTROVERSY OVER BAGESHWAR DHAM HEAD IN BIHAR
The Hanumant Katha organized by Bageshwar Dham head Dhirendra Krishna Shastri in Naubatpur near Patna has drawn huge crowds on all five days. Looking at the big response, Shastri has promised to come to Gaya, Bihar, again in September. Meanwhile, political circles in Bihar are abuzz with both the RJD and BJP camps taking snipes at each other. Top BJP leaders like Sushil Modi, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Giriraj Singh and Ashwini Choubey have already met Shastri and sought his blessings, while Lalu Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav, a minister in Bihar government, said, Bihar will witness “not Ram Raj, but Krishna Raj”. Lalu Yadav made a cryptic comment, “What baba? He is not a baba”. Tej Pratap alleged that the baba was abusing the people of Bihar. “Those abusing Bihar will face the Sudarshan Chakra”, he said. Senior RJD leader Jagadanand Singh compared the baba with a ‘madaari’ (juggler). “He is speaking against the Constitution, and those who sponsor him cannot be patriots”, he said. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, “why should leaders who wear Muslim topis and attend iftar parties, go to listen Hanumant Katha? Because they do not find votes for their parties there”. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, the baba’s promise to make India a ‘Hindu rashtra’ is rubbish, and “I do not want to give it credence.” One thing to note: Tej Pratap Yadav had earlier threatened not to allow the baba to enter Bihar, but when lakhs of devotees poured in to pandals to listen to the baba, he became silent. RJD and JD-U leaders are making caustic comments about the baba. I am surprised, where is the necessity to oppose a religious preacher, who gets so much public support despite heat wave, with thousands waiting for hours in pandals? Is Dhirendra Shastri being opposed only because some top BJP leaders went to the dais to welcome him? Is it because of allegations that Dhirendra Shastri has been brought to cause religious tension in Bihar? At least the leaders in Madhya Pradesh are more clever. Both chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Congress leader Kamal Nath went to Bageshwar Dham to seek his blessings.
TERROR THROUGH CONVERSION
Madhya Pradesh anti-terror squad has arrested 16 persons (11 from Bhopal and five from Hyderabad) in connection with a ‘The Kerala Story’ type conversion conspiracy. Police said, these people were working a radical Islamic outfit Hizb Ut Tahrir(HUT), spread over 50 countries, and has more than a million active members. HUT is considered more radical than the Islamic State. Among the eleven arrested in Bhopal are three persons, who were Hindus and Jains, and converted to Islam. These three persons converted four Hindu girls to Islam, and married them after changing their names. Telangana police cooperated and arrested five persons from Hyderabad. Among those arrested are a software engineer, a gym trainer, a person running a coaching centre and a computer technician. Police said, these people were working towards the aim of establishing Islamic rule in India through HUT. MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra alleged that one of those arrested was working in a college in Hyderabad, run by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s brother Akbaruddin Owaisi. Police said, these HUT activists used to contact each other through the dark web. Among those arrested, Venu Kumar converted and changed his name to Abbas Ali, Devi Prasad Pandey changed his name to Abdur Rahman. Both lived in Hyderabad, while Saurabh Rajvaidya changed his name to Mohd Saleem. Saleem married a Hindu girl, Manasi and changed her name. According to police, the religious conversion was going on for the last 13 years. Saurabh Rajvaidya converted to Islam in 2010, and later converted other Hindu males and females. Some may argue that the Constitution gives every citizen the freedom to follow the religion he or she likes. If any Hindu converts to Islam, what is the harm? It’s right, but to convert a citizen to another religion through conspiracy, allurement or deceit, is illegal. In this case, it appears people were misled by radical elements to convert to Islam and participate in anti-national activities. The matter should be thoroughly investigated and the truth must come out. Such activities can spoil the atmosphere in our country.

पाकिस्तान में सोमवार रात को सेनाध्यक्ष जनरल आसिम मुनीर की अध्यक्षता में कोर कमांडर्स की विशेष बैठक हुई. इसमें ये तय हुआ कि 9 मई को जिन सैनिक ठिकानों पर हमले हुए, उनके दोषियों के खिलाफ आर्मी एक्ट और ऑफिशियल सीक्रेट्स एक्ट के तहत कार्रवाई की जाएगी. कमांडर्स कॉन्फ्रेंस में कहा गया कि जिन लोगों ने 9 मई के हमलों की प्लानिंग की, और उन्हें अंजाम दिया, उनके बारे में फौज को सब कुछ पता है और कार्रवाई होगी. इसके चंद घंटे पहले सोमवार को पाकिस्तान में जूडिशीएरी का सरेआम अपमान किया गया, सरकार में शामिल पार्टियों ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर हमला कर दिया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट के उस गेट पर कंटेनर लगा दिए गए हैं, जिस गेट से सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जज आते जाते हैं. सरकार में शामिल 13 पार्टियों के हजारों कार्यकर्ता सुप्रीम कोर्ट को घेर कर बैठे हैं. पाकिस्तान की पार्लियामेंट में चीफ जस्टिस को इस्तीफा देकर चुनाव लड़ने की नसीहत दी गई और पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इमरान खान को सरेआम फांसी पर लटकाने की मांग की गई। दूसरी तरफ इमरान खान ने कहा कि अब उनकी पत्नी बुशरा बीबी को जेल में डालने की साजिश हो रही है और उनकी पार्टी पर बैन लगाने की तैयारी हो गई है. सोमवार को लाहौर हाई कोर्ट ने बुशरा बीबी को 23 मई तक के लिए जमानत दे दी और इमरान खान की जमानत पर फैसला सुरक्षित रखा. इमरान खान का इल्जाम है कि पाकिस्तान में जो कुछ हो रहा है, वो लंदन में बैठे पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री नवाज शरीफ की लिखी हुई स्क्रिप्ट है.इमरान खान ने आशंका जताई है कि जिस तरह से सरकार और फौज उन्हें दस साल के लिए जेल में डालने की साजिश रच रही है. इसी तरह से शहबाज शरीफ की हुकूमत अब उन जजों के खिलाफ गंदी राजनीति करेगी जो सरकार की लाइन पर नहीं चल रहे हैं, जो संविधान के मुताबिक फैसले कर रहे हैं. अब सवाल ये है कि इमरान खान को जेल में डालने के लिए क्या शहबाज शरीफ चीफ जस्टिस को हटाने की कोशिश करेंगे? चूंकि इमरान खान के समर्थक सरकार और फौज के खिलाफ सड़क पर हैं, और नवाज शरीफ के समर्थक सुप्रीम कोर्ट को घेर कर बैठे हैं, इसलिए सवाल ये भी है कि क्या अब पाकिस्तान में इमरजेंसी जैसे हालात हैं ? पाकिस्तान में ऐसा लगता है कि किसी भी संस्थान का सम्मान नहीं बचा है. न कोई संसद को कुछ समझता है, न सरकार को. पिछले कुछ दिनों में फौज की इज्जत भी सारेआम उछाली गई और सोमवार को जिस तरह से सुप्रीम कोर्ट को जलील किया गया, जजों को जिस तरह से गालियां दी गईं, वो किसी को भी हैरान कर सकता है. लेकिन आज पाकिस्तान में जो हो रहा है, उसे वहां की आवाम ने पहले भी कई बार देखा है. 1997 में जब सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने नवाज शरीफ के खिलाफ फैसले सुनाए थे, तब सज्जाद अली शाह पाकिस्तान के चीफ जस्टिस थे. उस वक्त भी नवाज शरीफ की पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर हमला किया था. जजों के चैंबर्स तक पहुंच गए थे और यहां तक धमकी दी थी कि अगर कोर्ट ने अपना फैसला नहीं बदला तो जजों को मार देंगे. सज्जाद अली शाह ने खुद को अपने चेंबर में कैद कर लिया था और डिस्ट्रेस कॉल दी थी, पाकिस्तान की फौज से मदद मांगी थी. फौज की सुरक्षा में जजों को कोर्ट से निकाला गया था. उस वक्त फजुलर्रहमान की पार्टी ने कोर्ट पर हमले की निंदा की थी और आज फजुलर्रहमान नवाज शरीफ की पार्टी के नेताओं के साथ खुद हजारों की भीड़ लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के गेट पर कंटेनर लगा कर बैठे हैं. इसीलिए मैंने कहा कि पाकिस्तान में जो हो रहा है, वो नया नहीं है, ऐसा कई बार हो चुका है, सिर्फ खिलाड़ी बदले हैं, हरकतें वही पुरानी हैं.
कर्नाटक में मुख्यमंत्री को लेकर सस्पेंस
कर्नाटक में कांग्रेस ने चुनाव तो जीत लिया, जश्न भी मना लिया लेकिन अब इस सवाल पर गाड़ी अटकी है कि मुख्यमंत्री कौन होगा. पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धारमैय़ा और प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष डी के शिवकुमार, दोनों ने मुख्यमंत्री की कुर्सी पर दावा ठोक दिया है. बेंगलुरू में ये मामला नहीं सुलझा तो अब दिल्ली में माथापच्ची चल रही है. दोनों नेता दिल्ली पहुंच गए हैं. मुख्यमंत्री कौन होगा ये फैसला करना कांग्रेस नेतृत्व के लिए टेढ़ी खीर साबित हो रहा है.कांग्रेस हाई कमान के सामने कई मजबूरियां हैं.सिद्धारमैया पुराने नेता हैं, उन्होंने ज्यादा संख्या में विधायकों को अपने पक्ष में कर लिया है, इसलिए उन्हें नाराज करना खतरे से खाली नहीं हो सकता, लेकिन डीके शिवकुमार की ये बात सही है कि जब पार्टी मुश्किल में थी, लोग कांग्रेस छोड़कर जा रहे थे, तो उन्होंने सोनिया गांधी के कहने पर जान लगा दी. डीके शिवकुमार को आज अहमद पटेल की कमी महसूस हो रही है. अहमद पटेल उन्हें बहुत मानते थे. अहमद पटेल के राज्यसभा चुनाव को फाइनेंस करने की वजह से ही उनपर रेड हुई थी, उनके रिश्तेदारों और बिजनेस पार्टनर पर बहुत सारे केस दर्ज हुए थे. डीके शिवकुमार को लगता है कि उन्होंने अपमान सहे, जेल गये, तो भी कांग्रेस को फिर से खड़ा किया, चुनाव जितवाया इसलिए मुख्यमंत्री तो उन्हें ही बनना चाहिए. डी के शिवकुमार को लगता है कि उन्होंने सोनिया गांधी को कर्नाटक डेलिवर किया, अब बारी सोनिया गांधी की है, उन्हें चीफ मिनिस्टर का पद डेलिवर करने की. डीके शिवकुमार और सिद्धारमैया के टकराव को देखते हुए कांग्रेस बीच का रास्ता निकालना चाहती है. पता ये लगा है कि शुरू के दो साल सिद्धारमैया को और फिर बाद में तीन साल डीके शिवकुमार को मुख्यमंत्री बनाने की पेशकश की गई. लेकिन शिवकुमार इसके लिए तैयार नहीं है, क्योंकि वो राजस्थान और छत्तीसगढ़ का हाल देख चुके हैं, इसलिए डीके कह रहे हैं कि कांग्रेस हाईकमान को फैसला करने दीजिए, वो वक्त आने पर बोलेंगे. डीके की यही खामोशी कांग्रेस को परेशान कर रही है, लेकिन इतना तो तय है कि डीके शिवकुमार अब दूसरे सचिन पायलट नहीं बनना चाहते.

सचिन पायलट राजस्थान में अपनी ही सरकार के खिलाफ पदयात्रा कर रहे हैं. सोमवार को उनकी पदयात्रा का आखिरी दिन था. इस मौके पर सचिन पायलट ने साफ साफ कहा कि अगर 30 मई तक उनकी मांगे नहीं मानी गईं, तो वो गांधीवादी रास्ता छोड़कर सड़क पर उतर कर आंदोलन करेंगे. सचिन पायलट ने कांग्रेस हाईकमान के सामने तीन शर्तें रखीं , वसुंधरा राजे सरकार के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की जांच के लिए आय़ोग बने, जिस राजस्थान सेवा चयन आयोग के पेपर लीक हुए हैं, उस आयोग को पुनर्गठित किया जाए और इम्तिहान में बैठने वाले उम्मीदवारों को जो नुक़सान हुआ है उनको हर्ज़ाना दिया जाए. उधर, गहलोत सरकार में मंत्री राजेन्द्र गुढा अपनी ही सरकार के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार के इल्जाम लगा रहे हैं. गूढा ने आरोप लगाया है कि गहलोत ने अपनी सरकार बचाने के लिए बीजेपी के विधायकों को 20-20 करोड़ रुपये दिये. सवाल ये है कि फिर वो जांच क्यों नहीं करवाते ? जांच एजेंसियों को सबूत क्यों नहीं देते ? अगर कोई उनकी नहीं सुनता तो इस्तीफा क्यों नहीं देते? हकीकत ये है कि ये सब आरोप सियासी हैं. अशोक गहलोत को कमजोर करने, चुनाव से पहले गहलोत को घेरने की रणनीति है. सचिन पायलट चाहते हैं कि कांग्रेस हाईकमान इस बार चुनाव से पहले उन्हें मुख्यमंत्री का चेहरा घोषित करे, लेकिन अशोक गहलोत ने हाईकमान को समझा दिया है कि सचिन पायलट बीजेपी की गोद में खेल रहे हैं, इसलिए पायलट की ये उम्मीद तो पूरी होती नहीं दिख रही हैं. फिर सवाल ये है कि सचिन पायलट का क्या होगा? लगता तो ये है कि कर्नाटक में मुख्यमंत्री की कुर्सी का झगड़ा निपट जाए, सरकार का गठन हो जाए, उसके बाद मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे सचिन पायलट के बारे में फैसला करेंगे. और अभी तक के जो हालात हैं, उसमें लगता तो यही है कि सचिन पायलट के खिलाफ कार्रवाई होगी, फिर सचिन पायलट अलग पार्टी बनाकर चुनाव के मैदान में उतरेंगे. कांग्रेस अंदरूनी झगड़ों में फंसी है, उधर, बीजेपी ने राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ और तेलंगाना में चुनाव की तैयार शुरू कर दी है.
PAKISTAN: ARMY, GOVT VERSUS JUDICIARY, IMRAN
A special corps commanders’ conference presided over by Army Chief Gen. Asim Munir on Monday night decided that those involved in attacks on army installations on May 9 will now be tried under Army Act and Official Secrets Act. The commanders said, the army was aware about planners, instigators, abettors and perpetrators of the attacks. Hours before, the judiciary in Pakistan was openly insulted and condemned by leaders belonging to the ruling PDM (Pakistan Democracy Movement) coalition on Monday in the presence of thousands of workers belonging to 13 parties. Huge containers were brought outside the Supreme Court, from which leaders, including Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Sharif and Jamiat leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman, demanded the resignation of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial. The leaders challenged the Chief Justice to resign and contest elections. Inside the National Assembly, one member demanded that former PM Imran Khan be hanged in public for the violence that took place on May 9. On the other hand, Imran Khan alleged that a conspiracy is afoot to imprison his wife Bushra Bibi and impose ban on his party, Tehreek-i-Insaaf. Lahore High Court granted protective bail to Bushra Bibi till May 23, while the High Court has reserved order on Imran’s bail plea. Imran Khan alleged that whatever that is happening in Pakistan has been scripted by former PM Nawaz Sharif, sitting in London. He said, the army was preparing to imprison him for at least ten years and debar him from contesting elections. The army and the government are veering towards a collision course against the judiciary and Imran Khan’s party. It seems, not a single institution in Pakistan today is commanding respect from the people. The parliament, the government, the army and now, the Supreme Court, are being insulted, one by one. The abuses hurled against judges outside Supreme Court are really worrying. The happenings in Pakistan are not new. In 1997, when Supreme Court gave its verdict against Nawaz Sharif, Sajjad Ali Shah was the Chief Justice. At that time, Nawaz Sharif’s supporters stormed the Supreme Court and reached the chambers of judges. They even threatened to killed the judges if the verdict was not overturned. Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah locked himself up inside his chamber and sent out distress calls, seeking support from the army. The judges were escorted out with the help of army. At that time, Maulana Fazlur Rahman had condemned the attack on Supreme Court judges, but on Monday, it was the same Maulana, who stood atop a container with other PML(N) leaders, and roundly condemned the judges. That is why I say, whatever is happening in Pakistan is nothing new. Such incidents have happened in the past. Only the players have changed, the acts remain the same.
SUSPENSE OVER CM IN KARNATAKA
The suspense continues over who will become the next chief minister of Karnataka, with both former CM Siddaramaiah and state Congress chief D K Shivkumar, unwilling to budge from their stands. The three central observers who met all the Congress legislators, have given their report to party president Mallikarjun Kharge. Both D K Shivkumar and Siddaramaiah are now in Delhi for consultations with the party leadership. Rahul Gandhi reached Kharge’s residence and held consultations. There are several compulsions before the party high command. Siddaramaiah is an old, experienced leader and most of the legislators are supporting him. The leadership cannot take the risk of making him unhappy. D K Shivkumar’s argument is right when he says it was he, who, at the instance of Sonia Gandhi, toiled hard when the party was in deep crisis, and brought the party back to power. D K Shivkumar is feeling the absence of Late Ahmed Patel, who used to respect him. It was Shivkumar who financed Ahmed Patel’s election to Rajya Sabha, and subsequently, there were raids against him, his relatives and business partners. Shivkumar feels, he suffered extreme humiliation, spent time in jail, and later rebuilt the party in Karnataka. He considers himself the best candidate for chiefministership. He feels it was he who delivered Karnataka to Sonia Gandhi, and now it was Sonia Gandhi’s turn to deliver the CM post to him. The Congress wants a middle path without hurting either of the two. An offer was made to make Siddaramaiah CM for the first two years and then install Shivkumar as CM for the remaining three years, but the latter is unwilling to accept this. Shivkumar has already witnessed what happened in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. He says, let the high command decide, he would speak when the time comes. Shivkumar’s silence is worrying the party leadership. The endgame is clear: Shivkumar does not want to become another Sachin Pilot.
SACHIN PILOT’S ULIMATUM TO CONGRESS
Rajasthan is witnessing a strange spectacle of a senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot taking out a ‘padayatra’ against his own government. On Monday, the last day of his ‘padayatra’, Pilot gave an ultimatum to the government to accept his demands by May 30, otherwise he would discard the Gandhian path and start agitation. His demands: Set up a commission to probe charges of corruption against former CM Vasundhara Raje, reconstitute Rajasthan Service Selection Commission, whose question paper was leaked recently, and compensation be paid to candidates who faced loss. While Pilot levelled corruption charges against the former BJP CM, his supporters levelled corruption charges against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his ministers. One minister Rajendra Singh Gudha alleged that corruption has crossed all limits during the Congress regime. He claimed, he had evidence to prove Gehlot had paid Rs 20 crore each to BJP MLAs to save his government. The question is: Rajendra Singh Gudha is a senior minister and he is levelling corruption charges. Then why is the charge not been probed? Why is Gudha not giving evidence to investigation agencies? Why is he not resigning? The fact is: most of the allegations are political in nature and are meant to ‘weaken’ Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. It appears to be part of a strategy to corner Gehlot before elections take place this year-end. Sachin Pilot wants, he should be projected as CM candidate in the elections, but Gehlot has convinced the party high command that Pilot is playing into the hands of BJP. Pilot may not find his hopes fulfilled. Then, what will happen to Pilot? It seems, once the Karnataka CM selection is over, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will take a decision about Pilot. All indicators point to the possibility of the party taking action against Pilot, who may then form a new party to contest elections. Congress is embroiled in infightings, while the BJP has started preparing for the assembly polls in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
