क्या यूपी पुलिस अतीक की हत्या के मक़सद का खुलासा कर पाएगी?
बहुत से लोग सोच सकते हैं कि माफिया अतीक अहमद और अशरफ की हत्या दर्जनों कैमरों के सामने हुई, पूरी घटना का लाइव टेलिकास्ट हुआ, ऐसे में गुरुवार को यूपी पुलिस ने प्रयागराज में क्राइम सीन को नाटकीय ढंग से दोबारा रीक्रिएट क्यों किया। दर्जनों कैमरों में तीनों आरोपियों द्वारा अतीक और अशरफ पर फायरिंग से लेकर सरेंडर तक की तमाम तस्वीरें कैद हैं। तीनों पुलिस की गिरफ्त में हैं। सबकी कुंडली पुलिस के पास है। इसके बाद भी सीन को रीक्रिएट करने, इतना सारा ड्रामा करने की जरूरत क्या है? जब सारे सबूत सामने हैं, सब कुछ ऑरिजनल है तो फिर क्राइम सीन को दोबारा शूट करने से क्या मिलेगा? दरअसल, हमारे क्रिमिनल लॉ में एक तय प्रक्रिया है, जिसका पालन प्रॉसिक्यूशन को करना होता है। न्यायिक जांच आयोग और SIT ने भी इसी प्रोटोकॉल का पालन किया। इसकी रिपोर्ट अदालत में काम आएगी। क्राइम सीन रीक्रिएट करने से यह समझ में आता है कि उस वक्त क्या हुआ होगा। पुलिस ने कस्टडी में मौजूद गैंगस्टरों की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में कोई लापरवाही तो नहीं की थी? क्या पुलिस वालों के पास इतना वक्त था कि वे हत्यारों को रोक सकते थे? और सबसे बड़ी बात यह कि हत्यारों ने पूछताछ में जो बताया, उसको मौके पर जाकर देखा जाता है कि हत्यारे जो कह रहे हैं वह वाकई में मुमकिन था या नहीं, वैसा हुआ या नहीं। आमतर पर क्राइम सीन रीक्रिएट करने से जांच में तो बहुत मदद नहीं मिलती है, लेकिन अदालत में आरोपों को साबित करने में इसकी रिपोर्ट मदद करती है। ये तो सबको पता है कि हत्या किसने की, और किस हथियार से की। पुलिस के सामने सबसे बड़ा चैलेंज यह है कि वह इन सवालों के जवाब खोजे कि हत्या के पीछे मकसद क्या था। हत्यारों की अतीक से क्या दुश्मनी थी? अतीक की हत्या से उन्हें क्या फायदा हुआ? क्या हत्यारे सिर्फ मोहरे या कॉन्ट्रैक्ट किलर हैं? अगर यह सही है तो फिर अतीक और अशरफ की सुपारी देने वाला कौन है? अब पुलिस इन्ही सवालों के जवाब खोजने में ताकत लगा रही है। पिछले 24 घंटों में हत्यारों ने पूछताछ में कुछ खुलासे किए भी हैं, लेकिन अभी और खुलासों की उम्मीद है। अतीक की हत्या करने वाले तीनों शूटर्स रटा-रटाया जवाब दे रहे हैं। इससे यह पता नहीं लग रहा कि अतीक की हत्या का मसकद क्या था, उन्हें इससे क्या हासिल हुआ। तीनों शूटर्स की अतीक से कोई पुरानी दुश्मनी नहीं है, उनका कोई लंबा-चौड़ा आपराधिक इतिहास नहीं है जिसके जरिए पुलिस उनके बारे में कुछ पता लगा सके। अतीक की हत्या से शूटर्स को कोई फायदा हुआ हो या न हुआ हो, लेकिन इससे पुलिस का बहुत बड़ा नुकसान हुआ है। अतीक और अशरफ जिंदा रहते तो काले कारनामे करने वाले तमाम सफेद लोगों का चेहरा उजागर होता, क्राइम के पूरे सिंडिकेट का खुलासा होता। अतीक ने अपने धंधों में किन किन लोगों की काली कमाई लगाई है, यह पता लगता। अतीक और अशरफ की हत्या के बाद वे सारे राज दफन हो गए।
कर्नाटक चुनावों में उछला अतीक का नाम
बीजेपी गुरुवार को कांग्रेस सांसद इमरान प्रतापगढ़ी के एक पुराने वीडियो को लेकर सामने आई, जिसमें वह कई साल पहले प्रयागराज के एक ‘मुशायरे’ में अतीक अहमद की तारीफ करते नजर आ रहे हैं। कर्नाटक से बीजेपी की सांसद शोभा करंदलाजे ने इस पर कांग्रेस से स्पष्टीकरण की मांग की। इसके जवाब में कांग्रेस ने भी एक कई साल पुराना वीडियो जारी किया जिसमें यूपी के मंत्री नंदगोपाल नंदी अतीक अहमद के साथ बैठकर हंसते हुए दिखाई दे रहे हैं। वक्त-वक्त की बात है। एक वक्त वह था जब समाजवादी पार्टी हो, बहुजन समाज पार्टी हो या कांग्रेस हो, इसके नेता चुनाव में अतीक अहमद को राजनीतिक समर्थन देते थे और बदले में प्रयागराज के इलाके में अतीक से सपोर्ट लेते थे। लेकिन आज वक्त बदल गया है। अब अतीक अहमद मारा जा चुका है, उसका साम्राज्य मिट्टी में मिल चुका है। अब उसका नाम किसी के काम का नहीं, इसलिए यही पार्टियां अतीक का नाम लेने से भी बच रही हैं। सारे नेता अतीक के नाम से दूरी बना रहे हैं। स्वच्छ राजनीति के लिए यह बदलाव अच्छा है। बस जरूरत इस बात की है कि राजनीतिक दलों का इस तरह का रवैया सिर्फ अतीक अहमद के लिए नहीं, बल्कि सभी अपराधियों के लिए होना चाहिए। कर्नाटक में अतीक अहमद का नाम इसलिए आया क्योंकि वहां विधानसभा चुनाव है, और गुरुवार को नामांकन दाखिल करने का आखिरी दिन था।
राहुल की अर्जी हुई खारिज
गुरुवार को कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी को उस समय झटका लगा, जब सूरत की एक डिस्ट्रिक्ट सेशन कोर्ट ने मानहानि के एक मामले में 2 साल कैद की सजा पर रोक लगाने की उनकी अर्जी को खारिज कर दिया। अगर सूरत की कोर्ट से राहुल को राहत मिल जाती, उनकी सजा पर रोक लग जाती तो कांग्रेस इसे अपने नेता की एक बड़ी जीत के रूप में प्रोजेक्ट करती। कर्नाटक के चुनाव में इसे मोदी की हार बताया जाता। हालांकि गुरुवार को जो हुआ वह कोर्ट का फैसला है, इसका राजनीति से कोई सीधा कनेक्शन नहीं है, लेकिन दोनों तरफ से इसका सियासी इस्तेमाल किया गया। बीजेपी ने कहा कि देश का पिछड़ा वर्ग खुशी मना रहा है क्योंकि राहुल को पिछड़े वर्ग को अपमानित करने का दोषी पाया गया है, और JKPDP सुप्रीमो महबूबा मुफ्ती ने कहा कि यह लोकतंत्र के लिए काला दिन है। बीजेपी ने कहा कि यह गांधी परिवार के अहंकार पर चोट है तो कांग्रेस ने कहा कि राहुल गांधी खामोश नहीं होंगे। इसलिए मेरा कहना है कि फैसला चाहे जो भी हो, इसका इस्तेमाल सियासी मकसद के लिए होगा और दोनों तरफ से होगा।
2002 नरोडा गाम हत्याकांड पर आया फैसला
अहमदाबाद में एक विशेष अदालत ने गुरुवार को 2002 के नरोदा गाम हत्याकांड मामले में पूर्व मंत्री माया कोडनानी, बजरंग दल के नेता बाबू बजरंगी और वीएचपी नेता जयदीप पटेल सहित सभी 68 आरोपियों को बरी कर दिया। हिंसा की इस घटना के दौरान 11 लोग मारे गए थे। 2017 में बीजेपी के तत्कालीन अध्यक्ष अमित शाह गवाह के तौर पर कोर्ट के सामने पेश हुए थे। यह नौवां मामला था जिसकी जांच सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा नियुक्त SIT ने की थी। इस केस में कुल 86 अभियुक्त थे, जिनमें से 18 की सुनवाई के दौरान मौत हो गई थी। यह मामला 2002 का है, 21 साल हो चुके, केस सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक गया था। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने SIT का गठन किया था। SIT ने जांच की, केस की सुनवाई 2009 में शुरू हुई और 14 साल के बाद अब कोर्ट का फैसला आया है। अब इसे हायर कोर्ट में चैलेंज किया जाएगा, और जब तक केस चलेगा तब तक इस पर सियासत होती रहेगी, और जब-जब बयानबाजी होगी, तब-तब दंगा पीड़ितों के घाव हरे होंगे।
WILL UP POLICE UNRAVEL THE MOTIVE BEHIND ATIQ’S MURDER?
Many people might be wondering why UP police dramatically recreated the crime scene in Prayagraj on Thursday, particularly when the murders of mafia don Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf took place in full view of TV cameras and live telecast was going on. The visuals of the three killers firing at the two gangsters and then being overpowered by police have been recorded in dozens of TV cameras. All the three killers are now in police custody. Police have full details about their background. Then what is the need for such a drama for recreating the crime scene? All evidences of the killings are there, in original, then what is the need for shooting the crime recreation scene again? Actually, there is a set procedure in our criminal law which has to be followed by the prosecution. The judicial inquiry commission and SIT followed the same protocol. Their reports will be useful before a law court. Recreating a crime scene will help in understanding what exactly took place at the time and scene of crime. Was there a serious lapse on part of police in providing security for the gangsters who were in custody? Did police have enough time to respond and protect both of them? Above all, do the statements of killers match with the probabilities about the crime committed? Normally recreating a crime scene is not of much help, but it helps in proving the guilt of accused in court. All of us know who killed Atiq and Ashraf, and with what weapons. The biggest challenge presently before UP police is to establish the exact motive of the crime. Whether the killers had past enmity with the gangsters? What benefit accrued to them by killing Atiq and Ashraf? Whether the killers were just pawns, or contract killers? If so, who gave them the supari (contract) to kill? Police is trying to find answers to these questions. Some disclosures have been made by the killers during the last 24 hours and more are expected. All the three killers are giving tutored replies. It is difficult to assess the exact motive of murder and the advantage that was gained by killing the two gangsters. All the three killers do not have much of a past criminal history. They had no enmity with Atiq Ahmed’s gang. Whether the conspirators benefited or not, police had to face losses. Had Atiq and his brother been alive, the names of all those who benefited from the gang could have been revealed. The entire crime syndicate could have been exposed. The companies and individuals in which Atiq invested his gang’s ill-gotten money could have been revealed. With the murders of Atiq and Ashraf, all those secrets now lie buried.
ATIQ’S NAME CROPS UP IN KARNATAKA POLLS
On Thursday, BJP came out with an old video of Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi praising Atiq Ahmed at a ‘mushaira’ in Prayagraj several years ago. BJP MP from Karnataka Shobha Karandlaje demanded explanation from Congress. To counter this, Congress came out with a video of UP minister Nandgopal Nandi sitting and laughing with Atiq Ahmed several years ago. There was a time when Samajwadi Party, BSP or Congress leaders used to provide political support to Atiq Ahmed, and in return, get support from Atiq Ahmed during elections. Times have now changed. Atiq Ahmed is dead and his mafia empire lies in ruins. Political parties publicly avoid associating their names with the mafia don. Every leader wants to shun his name. Such a change is good for clean politics. The only thing required is, political parties should not only keep a distance from Atiq Ahmed’s gang, but also from all other gangsters. Since Karnataka is going for assembly elections, and Thursday was the last day for filing nominations, Atiq Ahmed’s name cropped up there too.
RAHUL’S PLEA DISMISSED
On Thursday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi got a jolt when a district sessions court in Surat dismissed his plea to suspend the two year imprisonment sentence in a defamation case. Had Rahul got relief from court, the Congress would have projected it as a big victory for its leader. It could have projected it a big loss for Modi during Karantaka elections. What happened on Thursday was a court verdict and it had no direct connection with politics, but both camps used it for scoring political brownie points. BJP leaders said, OBC (other backward classes) are happy because Rahul has been proved guilty for insulting a backward class, but JKPDP chief Mehbooba Mufti described it as a ‘black day for democracy’. BJP said, the court verdict is a blow to the ‘ahankaar’ (ego) of Gandhi-Nehru dynasty, while Congress said, Rahul’s voice cannot be muzzled. My view: whatever may be the verdict, it was used and will continue to be used for political gains, by both sides.
VERDICT ON 2002 NARODA GAM KILLINGS
A special court in Ahmedabad on Thursday acquitted all 68 accused, including former minister Maya Kodnani, Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi and VHP leader Jaydeep Patel, in the 2002 Naroda Gam massacre case. Eleven people were killed during the massacre. In 2017, Amit Shah, then BJP president, deposed before the court as a witness. This was the ninth case that was probed by a Supreme Court-appointed special investigation team. There were 86 accused, out of which 18 died during the trial. Since the massacre took place in 2002, 21 years have passed, the matter went to Supreme Court, an SIT investigated, trial began in 2009, and the verdict has come after 14 years, naturally it will be challenged in higher courts. Political sabre-rattling will continue and whenever political allegations and counter-allegations are made, the wounds of the victims will always reopen.
यूपी में माफिया की जड़ें बहुत गहरी हैं
उत्तर प्रदेश की पुलिस ने ताजा घटनाक्रम में बांदा जिले से तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है जिन्होंने माफिया डॉन अतीक अहमद के कातिलों को टीवी रिपोर्टिंग के क्रैश कोर्स की ट्रेनिंग दी थी। गिरफ्तार तीनों शख्स एक स्थानीय न्यूज चैनल के लिए काम करते थे। अतीक के तीनों कातिलों लवलेश तिवारी, सनी सिंह और अरुण मौर्य ने इस लाइव शूट आउट के लिए इस्तेमाल किए गए हथियार और पैसों के स्रोत के बारे में पुलिस के सामने कई खुलासे किए। इन तीनों को बुलेट प्रूफ शील्ड का उपयोग करते हुए भारी सुरक्षा के बीच बुधवार को प्रयागराज की एक अदालत में पेश किया गया। पुलिस को इस बात की आशंका है कि अतीक हत्याकांड के असली साजिशकर्ता इन कातिलों को मारने की कोशिश कर सकते हैं। पुलिस अधिकारियों का यह डर जायज है क्योंकि इतनी सख्ती के बावजूद अतीक अहमद के गैंग ने उमेश पाल को सरेआम मारने की हिम्मत की। अतीक ने जेल में बैठकर हत्या की प्लानिंग की और इसे अंजाम तक पहुंचाने तक हर चीज पर नजर रखी। हालांकि पुलिस ने बड़े पैमाने पर अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया, एनकाउंटर्स में अपराधियों को मार गिराया गया, उनकी प्रॉपर्टी पर बुलडोजर भी चले इसके बाद भी उत्तर प्रदेश में माफिया की जड़ें कितनी गहरी हैं इसका अंदाजा इस घटना से लगाया जा सकता है। यूपी पुलिस अब एक और माफिया डॉन मुख्तार अंसारी पर शिकंजा कस सकती है। यूपी पुलिस ने बुधवार को मुख्तार अंसारी की पत्नी अफशां अंसारी पर 25 हजार रुपये के इनाम का ऐलान किया। अफशां अंडरग्राउंड हो चुकी है। वहीं अतीक की विधवा शाइस्ता परवीन और बम एक्सपर्ट गुड्डू मुस्लिम भी अंडरग्राउंड हैं। जब तक शाइस्ता पुलिस की गिरफ्त में नहीं आती तब तक पुलिस को अतीक गैंग और उसकी बेनामी संपत्ति के बारे में पूरी जानकारी नहीं मिलेगी। अभी तक जो जानकारी मिली है उसके मुताबिक अतीक अहमद ने शाइस्ता के नाम पर करीब दो सौ कंपनियां बना रखी थी। यूपी, हरियाणा, राजस्थान, दिल्ली, महाराष्ट्र से लेकर बंगाल तक ये कंपनियां रजिस्टर्ड हैं। इन्ही कंपनियों में अतीक अहमद की काली कमाई इन्वेस्ट होती थी। अब जांच एजेसियां पूरी कुंडली खंगाल रही हैं। यह भी पता लगा है कि अतीक जिन संपत्तियों पर कब्जा करता था उनकी रजिस्ट्री अपने नाम पर करवाने के बजाए या तो शाइस्ता के नाम पर कराता था या फिर अपनी गैंग के सदस्यों के नाम पर करवाता था। अतीक की संपत्तियां सिर्फ प्रयागराज में ही नहीं हैं। दिल्ली, मुंबई, बैंगलुरू, कोलकाता, नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा में भी उसके घर, मकान दुकान और बंगले हैं। अतीक की मौत के बाद अब वे लोग जो पहले उसके गैंग के सदस्य थे और संपत्तियों पर कब्जा जमाने में उसकी मदद करते थे, अब खुद को ऐसे प्रोजेक्ट कर रहे हैं जैसे वो अतीक के सताए हुए हैं। रिकॉर्ड किए गए ऑडियो और व्हाट्सएप चैट के जरिए खुद को पीड़ित जताने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। ऐसा ही एक मामला समाने आया है बिल्डर मोहम्मद मुस्लिम का। मोहम्मद मुस्लिम ने एक फोन कॉल की ऑडियो रिकॉर्डिग और कुछ व्हाटसएप चैट जारी किया जिसमें अतीक का बेटा असद, मोहम्मद मुस्लिम को धमकी देता हुआ सुनाई दे रहा है। दावा ये किया गया कि असद इस तरह के वीडियो भेजकर वसूली के लिए दबाव बनाता था। बाद में पता चला कि मोहम्मद मुस्लिम अतीक का सताया हुए नहीं हैं बल्कि वह अतीक गैंग का सक्रिय सदस्य है। अतीक ने उसके नाम पर भी कई संपत्तियों की रजिस्ट्री करवाई है। मोहम्मद मुस्लिम न पहला ऐसा शख्स है और न आखिरी, जो जिंदगी भर अतीक के गुनाहों में शरीक रहा और अब अतीक की मौत के बाद खुद को अतीक के जुल्मों का शिकार बता रहा हो। जब भी कोई अपराधी मरता है तो ऐसे बहुत सारे लोग सामने आते हैं। उनका मकसद एक ही होता है। अपराध की रकम को हजम करना और पुलिस से पीछा छुड़ाना। योगी आदित्यनाथ ने अफसरों को साफ हिदायत दी है कि किसी बेगुनाह को बेवजह परेशान न किया जाए और कोई गुनाहगार बचने न पाए। सिर्फ अतीक ही नहीं बल्कि उसकी पूरी गैंग को जड़ से खत्म करना है इसलिए जिसके खिलाफ सबूत मिले, सबको पकड़ा जाए। लेकिन मुश्किल ये है कि अतीक के गैंग के खिलाफ एक्शन को कुछ लोग मजहबी रंग देने लगे हैं। महाराष्ट्र के बीड जिले के माजलगांव में अतीक के समर्थन में पोस्टर लगे, जिसमें अतीक और अशरफ को शहीद बताने की कोशिश की गई। होर्डिंग में न्यूज़ पेपर की एक कटिंग भी छापी गई, जिसमें एक कम्युनिटी को टारगेट किया गया और धार्मिक उन्माद फैलाने की कोशिश की गई। जैसे ही पुलिस को इस तरह की होर्डिंग और पोस्टर की शिकायत मिली तो पुलिस ने इन्हें तुरंत हटवा दिया। इस मामले में पुलिस ने दो लोगों को गिरफ्तार भी किया है। उधर, प्रयागराज में कांग्रेस के एक स्थानीय नेता राजकुमार ने सबसे पहले खुले तौर पर अतीक को शहीद बताया और उसे भारत रत्न दिए जाने की मांग की। इसके बाद उसने अतीक की कब्र पर जाकर तिरंगा बिछा दिया। कांग्रेस ने इस शख्स को स्थानीय निकाय चुनाव में प्रयागराज के वार्ड नंबर 45 से अपना उम्मीदवार बनाया है। इस घटना के सामने आते ही कांग्रेस पार्टी ने उसे छह साल के लिए पार्टी से निष्कासित कर दिया। पुलिस ने अतीक की कब्र से तिरंगा हटाया और राजकुमार के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। बरेली में, इत्तेहाद-ए-मिल्लत काउंसिल के प्रमुख मौलाना तौकीर रज़ा ने अपने समर्थकों से अपील की कि वे ‘मुस्लिमों के खिलाफ अत्याचार’ के खिलाफ सड़कों पर उतरें। उनकी अपील के बाद बरेली में धारा 144 लागू कर दी गई। मैं कांग्रेस की तारीफ करूंगा कि पार्टी ने अतीक अहमद के लिए भारत रत्न मांगने वाले को तुरंत बाहर किया लेकिन तौकीर रजा को कोई पूछने वाला नहीं है। तौकीर रजा का अतीक अहमद जैसे दुर्दांत अपराधी के हक में बोलना हैरान करता है। समाजवादी पार्टी के सांसद शफीकुर्रहमान बर्क ने भी अतीक का समर्थन किया। क्या शफीकुर्रहमान बर्क और तौकीर रजा को अतीक की हिस्ट्री शीट नहीं मालूम, उसके गुनाहों के बारे में नहीं मालूम ? अतीक के छोटे बच्चों को सरकार ने सुरक्षा दी और उन्हें बाल सुधार गृह में रखा है। पुलिस ने कोर्ट को उनकी पूरी डिटेल दी है। पुलिस को लगता है कि अतीक के दुश्मन उसके बच्चों के लिए खतरा हो सकते हैं इसलिए बाल सुधार गृह में उनकी सुरक्षा की जा रही है। इसलिए बार-बार ये कहना कि अतीक के नाबालिग बच्चों की हत्या हो सकती है, ये ठीक नहीं है। जहां तक शाइस्ता का सवाल है तो शाइस्ता के खिलाफ सबूत हैं।अतीक की गैरमौजूदगी में वो अतीक का गैंग चला रही थी। उसके पास अतीक की गैंग और उसके काले कारनामों की पूरी जानकारी है इसलिए शाइस्ता के समर्थन में बोलना और उसकी गिरफ्तारी की कोशिशों पर सवाल उठाना ठीक नहीं है। जो लोग अतीक की मौत को मजहबी रंग दे रहे हैं उन्हें एक बार अतीक के काले कारनामों और उसके खौफ को य़ाद करना चाहिए कि अतीक किस तरह लोगों को डराता था। 2016 में अतीक भीड़ के साथ नैनी के कृषि विश्वविद्यालय में घुस गया। अतीक सीधे प्रशासनिक भवन में घुसा और घुसते ही यूनीवर्सिटी के पीआरओ रमाकांत दुबे को थप्पड़ मार दिया। बात ये थी कि अतीक के सहयोगी के एक करीबी रिश्तेदार को परीक्षा के दौरान नकल करते हुए पकड़ा गया था। अतीक द्वारा पीआरओ को थप्पड़ मारने का वीडियो बुधवार रात इंडिया टीवी पर दिखाया गया था। यह वीडियो इस बात का सबूत है कि कैसे एक जमाने में अतीक अहमद और मुख्तार अंसारी जैसे माफिया डॉन को गुंडागर्दी करने की खुली छूट थी। मैंने उस जमाने के एक बड़े पुलिस अधिकारी से बात की। उन्होंने बताया कि समाजवादी पार्टी और बहुजन समाज पार्टी की सरकारों के दौरान किसी की हिम्मत नहीं थी कि इन अपराधियों के खिलाफ एक्शन ले। यूपी में माफिया की जो 15 हजार करोड़ की संपत्ति जब्त हुई है या कब्जे से छुडाई गई है, उसे इन गुंडों ने रातों-रात हासिल नहीं की। यूपी के माफिय़ा ने यह साम्राज्य पिछले तीस-चालीस साल में खड़ा किया। इतने लंबे समय में माफिया की जड़ें बहुत गहरी हो चुकी हैं। इसलिए उसे खत्म करने में भी वक्त लगेगा। पिछले छह साल में योगी आदित्यनाथ ने अपराधियों के दिलों में कानून का खौफ पैदा किया। उनकी सप्लाई लाइन काटी और संपत्तियों को जब्त किया। अब गैंगस्टर्स के खिलाफ एक्शन फाइनल स्टेज में है इसलिए प्रतिरोध भी ज्यादा होगा। लेकिन मुझे लगता है कि गैंगस्टर्स को जड़ से खत्म करने की मुहिम में सभी राजनीतिक दलों को योगी आदित्यनाथ का समर्थन करना चाहिए। क्योंकि ये यूपी के लोगों की खुशहाली और सुख शान्ति के लिए बहुत जरूरी है।
ममता ने इस्तीफे की पेशकश क्यों की?
बुधवार को पश्चिम बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने बीजेपी नेता शुभेंदु अधिकारी के आरोप को निराधार बताया और आरोप सही साबित होने पर इस्तीफे की पेशकश की। दरअसल, शुभेन्दु अधिकारी ने ये कहकर बंगाल की सियासत में गर्मी ला दी कि ममता बनर्जी ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस को राष्ट्रीय पार्टी की मान्यता वापस दिलाने के लिए गृह मंत्री अमित शाह को चार बार फोन किया। हाल में चुनाव आयोग ने टीएमसी की राष्ट्रीय पार्टी की मान्यता खत्म कर दी थी। ममता ने इसे झूठ बताया और कहा कि अगर कोई ये साबित कर दे कि उन्होंने तृणमूल कांग्रेस की मान्यता के बारे में अमित शाह से बात की है तो वो मुख्यमंत्री के पद से इस्तीफा दे देंगी। शुभेंदु अधिकारी अपने आरोप पर अड़े रहे और खुलासा किया कि ममता ने अमित शाह से लैंडलाइन पर बात की थी। उन्होंने सही वक्त पर इस पूरे मामले का खुलासा करने का वादा भी किया। वहीं तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने शुभेंदु अधिकारी के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई करने की धमकी भी दी। बंगाल में एक और दिलचस्प घटनाक्रम हुआ। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री मुकुल रॉय तीन दिन पहले लापता हो गए और फिर बुधवार को दिल्ली में मिले। अब मुकुल रॉय कह रहे हैं कि वो बीजेपी में वापस आना चाहते हैं इसीलिए बीजेपी के नेताओं से मिलने आए हैं। मुकुल रॉय का कहना है कि वो आधिकारिक रूप से बीजेपी के विधायक हैं इसलिए पार्टी में वापसी सिर्फ औपचारिकता है। मुकुल रॉय ने कहा कि वह अगले साल होने वाले लोकसभा चुनाव के मद्देनजर भाजपा नेताओं से मिलने दिल्ली आए हैं। शुभेंदु अधिकारी ने कहा कि अब मुकुल रॉय जैसे नेताओं के लिए बीजेपी में कोई जगह नहीं है। मुकुल रॉय जहां हैं, वहीं ठीक हैं। वहीं ममता बनर्जी ने कहा-‘मुकुल रॉय तो बीजेपी के विधायक हैं। वो उनके पास आए जरूर थे लेकिन उन्होंने तृणमूल कांग्रेस ज्वॉइन नहीं की थी। उनकी तबियत भी ठीक नहीं है, वो क्या कर रहे हैं और किससे मिल रहे हैं, इससे तृणमूल कांग्रेस का कोई लेना देना नहीं है।’ मुकुल रॉय तृणमूल कांग्रेस के संस्थापक सदस्य रहे हैं। ममता के करीबी रहे हैं। लेकिन 2017 में उन्होंने बीजेपी ज्वॉइन कर ली थी। इस वक्त वो बीजेपी के ही विधायक हैं। लेकिन ये भी सही है कि बंगाल में तृणमूल की सरकार बनने के कुछ ही महीने बाद वो ममता से मिले और तृणमूल कांग्रेस में शामिल हुए थे लेकिन विधानसभा से इस्तीफा नहीं दिया। इसीलिए अब न बीजेपी उन्हें अपना मानती हैं और न ममता।
ROOTS OF UP MAFIA GANGS RUN DEEP
In fresh developments, UP police have arrested three persons in Banda district, who worked for a local news channel and gave crash course training in TV reporting to the three killers of mafia don Atiq Ahmed. The three killers Lovelesh Tiwari, Sunny Singh and Arun Maurya have made several disclosures to police about the sources of money and weapons used in the live TV killings. The three killers were produced before a Prayagraj court on Wednesday under heavy security using bulletproof shields. Police apprehend that the real conspirators may try to kill the assassins. This fear is justified, because Atiq Ahmed, despite being in Gujarat jail, planned and directed the daylight murder of key witness Umesh Pal. The roots of mafia gangs in UP are still deep despite arrests, encounters and razing of ill-gotten properties of criminals. UP police may now zero in on another mafia don Mukhtar Ansari. On Wednesday, UP police announced Rs 25,000 reward on the whereabouts of Mukhtar’s wife Afshan Ansari, who is underground. Meanwhile, Atiq’s widow Shaista Parveen and bomb expert Guddu Muslim are still underground. Police can find out details about the don’s ill-gotten properties purchased through ‘benami’ channels, only after Shaista is arrested. Atiq had floated nearly 200 companies in UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra and Bengal, in which extortion money was invested. Most of the properties grabbed by Atiq were registered in the name of his wife or other gang members. The properties include residences, shops and bungalows are located in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Noida and Greater Noida and are registered in different names. With the death of the don, several gang members have now started posing themselves as victims. Some of them have started sharing recorded audio and WhatsApp conversations to show that they were facing extortions from the don. Among them is one Mohammed Muslim, a builder, who alleged that Atiq used to threaten him to pay extortion money. It was later revealed that Mohd Muslim was not a victim but was part of Atiq’s gang. Atiq had got several properties registered in his name too. Normally, whenever a criminal don dies, his gang members try to grab his properties and extortion money, to protect themselves from police probe. CM Yogi Adityanath has clearly instructed officials that innocents must not be harassed, but the guilty must not be spared. The aim is to uproot mafia gangs. Already, some people have started giving communal colour to UP police operations. In Majalgaon of Beed district in Maharashtra, large hoarding have appeared describing Atiq and his brother Ashraf as martyrs. The aim is to target a particularl community and spread religious fanaticism. Police promptly removed these hoardings and arrested two persons. In Prayagraj, Raj Kumar, a Congress candidate in municipal elections, laid tricolour flag on Atiq’s grave and demanded that Bharat Ratna be given to the mafia don. He was promptly expelled by Congress party for six years. Police immediately removed the tricolour from Atiq’s grave and a case has been filed against Raj Kumar. In Bareilly, Ittehad-e-Millat Council chief Maualana Tauqeer Raza gave a call to his supporters to come out on sgtreets against what he called ‘atrocities against Muslims’. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been clamped in Bareilly. I congratulate Congress party for taking swift action against the man who wanted Bharat Ratna for Atiq Ahmed, but there is nobody to question Maulana Tauqeer Raza. Even Samajwadi Party MP Shafiqur Rahman Burq has also supported Atiq. The fact is UP police has provided protection to both the children of Atiq Ahmed and has kept them in a children’s home. To say that the lives of Atiq’s children are under threat is unjustified. As far as Atiq’s widow is concerned, she has full knowledge about the crimes committed by the don and his associates. Those who are trying to give a communal colour to Atiq’s case, must remember, how the don used to terrorize people. In 2016, Atiq, along with a mob carrying weapons, marched into the agricultural university in Naini, and slapped the PRO of the university Ramakant Dubey. The provocation: a close relative of his associate was caught copying during exam. The video of Atiq slapping the PRO was shown on India TV on Wednesday night. This video is proof of how mafia dons like Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari used to strike terror in UP. I spoke to a senior police officer of that era, who revealed, nobody had the courage to take action against mafia dons during SP and BSP rule. The Rs 15,000 crore worth properties of criminals attached by the government, have not been acquired overnight. This was the result of three decades of mafia rule. The roots of mafia gangs had really gone deep, and it will take time to destroy those roots. During last six years, Yogi Adityanath brought fear of law in the minds of these criminals, he cut off their supply lines (of extortions and land grabbing), seized their properties and got many criminals killed in encounters. Political parties must lend support to Yogi in his drive against criminal mafia gangs. This is essential for peace and prosperity of UP.
WHY MAMATA OFFERED TO RESIGN?
On Wednesday, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee described BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s allegation as baseless and offered to resign if the charge was proved correct. Adhikari had alleged that Mamata spoke to Home Minister Amit Shah four times over telephone to protect national party status of Trinamool Congress, that was recently withdrawn by the Election Commission. Mamata said, this was a lie, and if BJP can prove that she spoke to Amit Shah, she would resign as CM. Suvendu Adhikari stuck to his allegation and revealed that Mamata spoke to Amit Shah over landline. He promised to reveal the full secret “at the right time”. Trinamool Congress threatened to take legal action against Adhikari. In another interesting development, former Union Minister Mukul Roy, who had been missing three days ago, surfaced on Wednesday and claimed that he never left BJP. Mukul Roy said he had come to Delhi to meet BJP leaders to seek work in view of next year’s Lok Sabha polls. Suvendu Adhikari said, leaders like Mukul Roy, who crossed fences, have no place in BJP now. Mamata Banerjee said, Mukul Roy is still a BJP MLA, he had come to meet her but he never rejoined Trinamool Congress. ‘Our party has nothing to do with him, his health is not good’, she said. Mukul Roy has been a founding member of Trinamool Congress. He was a close associate of Mamata Banerjee, but joined BJP in 2017. At present, he is a BJP MLA, and it is also a fact that a few months after Mamata won assembly polls, he called on her, but never resigned from assembly. योगी ने यूपी से कैसे किया माफिया युग का खात्मा
माफिया डॉन अतीक अहमद और उसके भाई अशरफ के तीनों कातिलों को आज प्रयागराज की एक अदालत में पेश किया गया। अदालत ने तीनों को 4 दिनों की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया। इस बीच अतीक की पत्नी शाइस्ता परवीन और उसके करीबी गुड्डू मुस्लिम का पता लगाने के लिए पुलिस बड़े पैमाने पर सर्च ऑपरेशन चला रही है। शाइस्ता और गुड्डू मुस्लिम BSP विधायक राजू पाल हत्याकांड के मुख्य गवाह उमेश पाल की हत्या के बाद पिछले 2 महीने से फरार हैं। राजू पाल की 2005 में प्रयागराज में दिन-दहाड़े हत्या कर दी गई थी। न्यायिक आयोग और SIT ने अतीक और अशरफ की लाइव मर्डर की जांच शुरू कर दी है। यूपी पुलिस के पूर्व आईजी अखिलेश मेहरोत्रा ने इंडिया टीवी से बातचीत में कहा कि 2005 में जब वह प्रयागराज के डीआईजी थे तभी राजू पाल की हत्या हुई थी। उस वक्त अतीक की गिरफ्तारी के लिए के लिए उन्हें मुलायम सिंह यादव के पास जाना पड़ा था। उन्होंने मुलायम सिंह से अतीक की गिरफ्तारी का अनुरोध किया। मेहरोत्रा के मुताबिक, मुलायम अतीक की गिरफ्तारी का आदेश देने में हिचक रहे थे लेकिन जब उन्हें समझाया गया कि इससे सरकार की बदनामी हो रही है, उन्होंने गिरफ्तारी की इजाजत दे दी। उन्होंने कहा कि न सिर्फ समाजवादी पार्टी, बल्कि कई अन्य सियासी दल भी अतीक के गिरोह को संरक्षण दे रहे थे। अतीक का गैंग खुलेआम लोगों की हत्या, रंगदारी में लिप्त था और कारोबारियों को गुलाबी और सफेद पर्चियां भेजकर ‘इलेक्शन टैक्स’ वसूलता था। पर्ची के रंग से तय होता था कि किसको कितना पैसा देना है। गुलाबी पर्ची का मतलब था कि 3 से 5 लाख के बीच ‘टैक्स’ देना है, जबकि 5 लाख से ज्यादा की रकम के लिए सफेद पर्ची दी जाती थी। इस बात में तो कोई शक नहीं है कि अतीक इतना बड़ा माफिया इसलिए बना क्योंकि उसे राजनीतिक संरक्षण मिला। अतीक 44 साल तक इसलिए अपराध करता रहा क्योंकि पुलिस के हाथ नेताओं ने बांध रखे थे। अब योगी आदित्यनाथ ने पुलिस को खुली छूट दे दी है, इसीलिए यूपी में कानून की ताकत दिख रही है। अपराधियों में खौफ है। वे भाग रहे हैं। ऐसा नहीं है कि अतीक, उसके भाई अशरफ और बेटे असद की मौत के बाद माफिया के खिलाफ एक्शन में कमी आएगी। क्योंकि मंगलवार को ही योगी ने यूपी के बड़े 61 माफियाओं की लिस्ट तैयार करवाई है। इनमें से जो जेल में हैं उनके खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई तेज होगी जिससे अपराधियों को जल्दी से जल्दी सजा दिलाई जा सके। इसके अलावा जो माफिया पुलिस की पकड़ से बाहर हैं, उनको पकड़ने के लिए पुलिस पूरी ताकत लगाएगी। योगी ने क्लीयर कर दिया है कि वो राजनीतिक हमले झेल लेंगे लेकिन अपराधियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई में कोई कमी नहीं आएगी। योगी का यही रवैया, माफिया के खिलाफ यही सख्ती, उन्हें दूसरे नेताओं से अलग करती है। यही वजह है कि अब यूपी बदल रहा है। यूपी से अपराधी और माफिया भाग रहे हैं और बड़े-बड़े बिजनेसमैन निवेश करने के लिए यूपी में आ रहे हैं। योगी ने मंगलवार को एक टेक्सटाइल पार्क के MoU साइन कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, ‘यूपी में अब कोई माफिया या अपराधी किसी उद्योगपति को डरा नहीं सकता।’
महाराष्ट्र में जारी है ‘कुर्सी का खेल’
मंगलवार को एनसीपी सुप्रीमो शरद पवार के भतीजे अजीत पवार ने मीडियाकर्मियों से कहा कि वह NCP में बने रहेंगे और अपनी पार्टी द्वारा लिए गए किसी भी फैसले का पालन करेंगे। उन्होंने बीजेपी के साथ जाने की अटकलों को ‘बेकार’ बताया। लेकिन महाराष्ट्र से कुछ अलग ही संकेत आ रहे हैं। अजीत के समर्थक विधायकों का कहना है कि वे NCP सुप्रीमो के भतीजे के साथ हैं और वह जहां भी जाएंगे, वे उनके साथ होंगे। अजीत पवार एक ऐसी इफ्तार पार्टी में शामिल हुए जिसमें शरद पवार और उनकी बेटी सुप्रिया सुले भी पहुंचे हुए थे। इस मौके पर जहां NCP के बाकी नेताओं ने खड़े होकर शरद पवार को नमस्कार किया, वहीं पार्टी सुप्रीमो के अजीत उनकी तरफ पीठ करके खड़े थे। भतीजे अजीत ने चाचा शरद पवार की तरफ देखा तक नहीं। अजित पवार के खेमे में इस समय करीब 40 विधायक हैं। सुप्रिया सुले ने इशारों-इशारों में कहा कि अगले 15 दिनों में 2 सियासी भूकंप आएंगे, एक महाराष्ट्र में और दूसरा दिल्ली में। महाराष्ट्र में जो हो रहा है वह विश्वास में कमी का एक शानदार उदाहरण है। अजीत पवार बार-बार कहते हैं कि वह NCP छोड़कर नहीं जा रहे, लेकिन कोई उनकी बात का यकीन नहीं करता। महाराष्ट्र स्टेट कोऑपरेटिव बैंक घोटाले में ED की चार्जशीट में अजीत पवार और उनकी पत्नी का नाम गायब है। इस बात के कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि उनके और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह के बीच एक गुप्त बैठक हुई है। वहीं, दूसरी तरफ शरद पवार कहते हैं कि महाराष्ट्र में उनका शिवसेना और कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन नहीं टूटेगा, लेकिन कोई उनकी बात का विश्वास नहीं करता। लोग याद दिलाते हैं कि अडानी पर, सावरकर पर पवार साहब ने जो लाइन ली वह गठबंधन के जुड़ने की नहीं बल्कि टूटने की शुरुआत है। बीजेपी के नेता भी कह रहे हैं कि हमें अजीत पवार की क्या जरूरत, हमारे पास तो पहले से ही बहुमत है। ऐसे में लोग उन्हें याद दिलाते हैं कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अगर शिवसेना के विधायकों को डिस्क्वॉलिफाई कर दिया तो क्या होगा। फैसला आने वाला है, इसीलिए अजीत पवार के साथ हाथ मिलाने की तैयारी हो रही है। यह सारा अविश्वास इसलिए है क्योंकि इस वक्त महाराष्ट्र की सियासत में कौन, कब, किसको धोखा दे दे, कोई नहीं कह सकता। शिवसेना ने बीजेपी के साथ मिलकर चुनाव लड़ा था, लेकिन कांग्रेस और NCP के साथ मिलकर सरकार बनाई। एकनाथ शिंदे ने हमेशा उद्धव ठाकरे का साथ देने का वादा किया था लेकिन उनके नीचे से कुर्सी खींच ली। अजीत पवार भी अपना खेल दिखा चुके हैं। उन्होंने एक रात के लिए बीजेपी के साथ मिलकर सरकार बनाई थी। इसीलिए लोग कहते हैं महाराष्ट्र में सरकार बनाने के लिए कुछ भी हो सकता है। सब मानकर बैठे हैं कि आज नहीं तो कल, अजीत पवार NCP के 40 विधायकों को साथ लेकर सरकार में शामिल हो जाएंगे औऱ बाकी सब देखते रह जाएंगे।
बिहार में क्यों सक्रिय है माफिया?
बिहार के पटना जिले में रेत माफिया के गुंडों ने 2 महिला अधिकारियों सहित खनन विभाग के कर्मचारियों को दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटा। खनन विभाग ने पटना के बिहटा थाने के अंतर्गत आने वाले कोलीवर पुल के पास रेत से लदे 29 ट्रकों को जब्त कर लिया था। इस मामले में 45 लोगों को हिरासत में लिया गया था, लेकिन बुधवार को स्थानीय लोगों की भारी भीड़ ने उनकी रिहाई की मांग को लेकर बिहटा थाने का घेराव कर लिया। बिहार के खनन मंत्री रामानंद यादव ने वादा किया है कि बेगुनाहों पर कोई केस दर्ज नहीं होगा, लेकिन हमले में शामिल लोगों को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा। बीजेपी ने आरोप लगाया कि यह घटना साबित करती है कि बिहार में ‘जंगल राज’ वापस आ गया है और अब राज्य में अधिकारी भी सुरक्षित नहीं हैं। बिहार और उत्तर प्रदेश पड़ोसी राज्य हैं। एक तरफ जहां यूपी से माफिया के खौफ में जीने की खबरें आती हैं, वहीं बिहार में ठीक इसका उल्टा है। मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार को सोचना चाहिए कि क्या वजह है कि अपराधी उनकी पुलिस से नहीं डरते और क्या वजह है कि राज्य मशीनरी माफिया के खिलाफ ऐक्शन नहीं ले पाती।
HOW YOGI’S STRONG WILL HAS ENDED THE ERA OF MAFIA IN UP
The three killers of mafia don Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were produced before a court in Prayagraj today, which sent them to four days’ police custody. Former UP Police IG Akhilesh Mehrotra revealed to India TV how as DIG of Prayagraj range, he had to go and meet the then CM Mulayam Singh Yadav and request him to order the arrest of Atiq Ahmed in Raju Pal murder case. According to him, the CM was initially hesitant, but later allowed the arrest. Mehrotra says, not only Samajwadi Party, but several other parties were providing protection to Atiq’s gang, which was openly engaged in extortions, murders and collecting ‘election tax’ from businessmen by sending pink and white slips. A pink slip meant collection of Rs 3-5 lakh, while a white slip meant Rs 5 lakh and above. Atiq Ahmed became a mafia don only because of political protection that he enjoyed for four decades. Political leaders had tied the hands of police in taking action against the mafia don. Now that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given an open hand to state police, the majesty of law prevails in the land and criminals are running for cover. Not that after the killings of Atiq, his brother Ashraf and son Asad, the action against criminals will now abate. On Tuesday, Yogi’s government released a list of 61 top gangsters. Out of them, legal proceedings against those in prison will be speeded up so that they can be convicted, while all-out search operations will begin to nab those who are underground. Yogi has made it clear that he is ready to face political attacks, but there will be no slowing down in anti-mafia operations. It is this strong political will that sets Yogi apart from other chief ministers of UP. This is the reason why UP is changing and criminals are running for cover. Big businessmen and industrialists are now showing interest in investing in UP. A ‘GAME OF THRONES’ IN MAHARASHTRA
On Tuesday, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s nephew Ajit Pawar told mediapersons that he will remain in NCP and will follow any decision taken by his party. He rubbished speculations about his joining BJP camp as ‘baseless’. But there are conflicting signals coming from Maharashtra. Ajit’s supporter MLAs say that they are with him, and wherever he goes, they will follow him. Ajit Pawar joined an iftaar party which was attended by Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule. While other NCP leaders greeted Sharad Pawar, his nephew stood with his back towards the party supremo. There was no eye contact between the uncle and his nephew. There are nearly 40 MLAs presently in Ajit Pawar’s camp. Supriya Sule made a cryptic remark saying, two political earthquakes will take place in the next 15 days, one in Maharashtra and the other in Delhi. Whatever is happening right now in Maharashtra is a classic example of trust deficit. Ajit Pawar says again and again, he is not going to leave NCP, but nobody is trusting his words. Ajit Pawar and his wife’s name are missing in ED’s chargesheet in Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank scam. There are speculations about a secret meeting between him and Home Minister Amit Shah. On the other extreme, Sharad Pawar claims that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (alliance) between NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena (UT) is not going to break, but nobody trusts Pawar’s words. Observers point out that Sharad Pawar’s stand on Veer Savarkar and JPC probe demand against Adani, are clear indications that the alliance is going to break. BJP leaders say they don’t need Ajit Pawar’s support, as the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance already commands majority. There are some who ask what will happen if the Supreme Court disqualifies Shiv Sena MLAs. Such speculations have given rise to talk about Ajit Pawar breaking away from NCP with his MLAs. The entire picture is confusing. Nobody can say, who will betray whom, when and how in Maharashtra politics. In flashback, Shiv Sena had fought Maharashtra assembly polls in alliance with BJP, but Congress and NCP joined hands and formed government. Eknath Shinde had promised to support Uddhav Thackeray, but pulled away his throne in a dramatic manner, Ajit Pawar had once carried out a midnight betrayal of his own party, and formed a two-day-old government with BJP. The common man in the street says, anything can happen in the Game of Thrones in Maharashtra. That is why, most of the people have taken it as a foregone conclusion that Ajit Pawar will make the crossover with his 40-odd NCP MLAs, leaving others to watch in wonder.
WHY MAFIA IS ACTIVE IN BIHAR?
Criminals belonging to an illegal sand mining mafia in Bihar thrashed mining department staff, including two female officials, when they seized 29 overloaded sand trucks near Koliwar bridge under Bihta police station of Patna district. 45 people were detained, but on Wednesday, a large crowd of locals gheraoed the Bihta police station demanding their release. Bihar mining minister Ramanand Yadav promised that innocents will not face criminals cases, but those involved in the attack will not be spared. BJP alleged that this incident proves ‘jungle raj’ is back in Bihar and even officials are not safe. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are two neighbouring states. In UP, while mafia gangsters live in fear, the opposite is the case in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should ponder why criminals have no fear of police and why the state machinery is unable to take action against mafia gangs.
अतीक-अशरफ को ठिकाने लगाने की साजिश किसने रची?
अतीक अहमद और उसके भाई अशरफ की हत्या करने वाले तीनों शूटर्स को नैनी जेल से प्रतापगढ़ की जेल में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया है। इस बीच कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि डॉन और उसके भाई की TV पर लाइव हत्या करने वाले इन बदमाशों को आखिर भेजा किसने था। एक बात तो तय है कि अतीक और अशरफ की हत्या की जांच चाहे सुप्रीम कोर्ट की कमेटी करे, CBI, SIT करे या जांच आयोग करे, मोटी-मोटी बात तो हर किसी को पता है कि लोगों ने मरने वालों को गिरते देखा, हत्यारों को गोली चलाते देखा। यह एक ऐसा मर्डर केस है जिसमें हत्या किसने की, यह सबको पता है। पूरी दुनिया को पता है कि तीनों हत्यारे कहां के रहने वाले हैं, और तीनों कब से अतीक के पीछे लगे थे। बस यह नहीं पता कि तीनों लड़कों ने अतीक को क्यों मारा। अब तक किसी के पास इस सवाल का जवाब नहीं है कि अतीक और उसके भाई की हत्या का मकसद क्या था। पुलिस को इस सवाल का जबाव देना मुश्किल हो रहा है। बहुत से लोग पूछ रहे हैं कि बात-बात पर गोली चलाने वाली यूपी पुलिस ने अतीक पर फायरिंग कर रहे हत्यारों पर फायरिंग क्यों नहीं की? पुलिस हाथ बांधे क्यों खड़ी रही? अगर पुलिस गोली चलाती और ये अपराधी मारे जाते तो यही लोग कहते कि पुलिस ने जान-बूझकर हत्यारों को मार डाला जिससे अतीक और उसकी हत्या करने वालों के सारे राज एक साथ खत्म हो जाएं। इसलिए सवालों का और आरोपों का कोई अंत नहीं है। लेकिन यह सही है कि कम से कम यह पता लगना चाहिए कि अतीक के हत्यारों को किसने मदद की, किसने उन्हें हथियार दिए, किसने ट्रेनिंग दी, किसने पैसे दिए और अतीक के हत्या के पीछे उसका मकसद क्या था। जब तक किसी रिपोर्ट में इन सवालों के सही जवाब नहीं मिलेंगे, तब तक कोई उस रिपोर्ट पर भरोसा नहीं करेगा। इसी तरह की बातें कहकर विरोधी दलों ने योगी की सरकार पर हमला शुरू कर दिया है। यह बात सही है कि लोकतंत्र में, सभ्य समाज में किसी तरह की हिंसा का कोई स्थान नहीं होता। अपराधी को सजा देने के लिए कानून है, किसी को अपराधी की हत्या का हक नहीं है। इसलिए अतीक के हत्यारों को कड़ी से कड़ी सजा मिलनी चाहिए और यह पता लगाया जाना चाहिए कि उसके हत्यारों को लॉजिस्टिक सपोर्ट किसने किया, उसका मकसद क्या है। यह भी सही है कि जो पार्टियां और नेता अतीक की हत्या को लेकर योगी आदित्यनाथ पर सवाल उठा रहे हैं, उन्हें अपने-अपने राज्य की कानून व्यवस्था की तुलना उत्तर प्रदेश की कानून व्यवस्था से करनी चाहिए। उन्हें यह भी देखना चाहिए कि उत्तर प्रदेश में 6 साल से दंगे क्यों नहीं हुए। यूपी में 6 साल से राम नवमी, हनुमान जयंती, मुहर्रम और दूसरे त्योहारों में हिंसा क्यों नहीं हुई। ममता हों या नीतीश, उन्हें यह भी देखना चाहिए कि यूपी में माफिया के खिलाफ 6 साल में योगी ने किस तरह का ऐक्शन लिया। असली बात ये है कि किसी को माफिया के खिलाफ ऐक्शन से, या फिर अतीक की हत्या से बहुत ज्यादा फर्क नहीं पड़ता। विरोधी दल इस मौके का इस्तेमाल प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी से सियासी हिसाब-किताब बराबर करने में कर रहे हैं। वे योगी के कंधे पर कमान रखकर मोदी पर सियासी तीर छोड़ रहे हैं। मोदी से विरोधी दल के नेता इसलिए नाराज है क्योंकि वह भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ धड़ाधड़ कार्रवाई कर रहे हैं।
बंगाल शिक्षक भर्ती घोटाला: अभिषेक बनर्जी को मिली बड़ी राहत
तृणमूल कांग्रेस के विधायक जीवन कृष्ण शाहा सोमवार को शिक्षक भर्ती घोटाले में गिरफ्तार हो गए। सोमवार को ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कलकत्ता हाई कोर्ट के उस आदेश पर रोक लगा दी जिसमें CBI और ED को शिक्षक भर्ती घोटाले में ममता बनर्जी के भतीजे अभिषेक बनर्जी से पूछताछ करने का निर्देश दिया गया था। CBI ने पहले अभिषेक बनर्जी को समन भेजा था, लेकिन बाद में कहा कि वह सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश का पालन करेगी। इस बीच, ममता बनर्जी ने आरोप लगाया है कि केंद्र सरकार नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम को लेकर दोबारा डर करने की कोशिश कर रही है। उन्होंने UIDAI को गृह मंत्रालय के एक निर्देश का जिक्र किया जो उनके दफ्तर को भी भेजा गया था। में कहा गया है कि बंगाल के बॉर्डर पर स्थित दो जिलों में अवैध आधार कार्ड को खत्म करने की कवायद शुरू होनी चाहिए। ममता बनर्जी ने आरोप लगाया कि मोदी और अमित शाह एक समुदाय विशेष को निशाना बनाने के लिए NRC (राष्ट्रीय नागरिक रजिस्टर) के डर को जिंदा करना चाहते हैं। ममता बीजेपी पर हिंदुओं के वोटों का ध्रुवीकरण करने की कोशिश का इल्जाम लगा रही हैं, तो जवाब में बीजेपी ने भी ममता पर मुस्लिम तुष्टिकरण का आरोप लगाया है। बात बीजेपी की भी सही है और ममता की भी। बीजेपी बंगाल में हिंदुओं का वोट अपने पक्ष में करना चाहती है, और ममता भी इस बात से इनकार नहीं कर सकती कि वह बीजेपी का डर दिखाकर मुसलमानों का वोट इकट्ठा करना चाहती है। यह वोटों की राजनीतिय है और ऐसा हर पार्टी करती है। हकीकत यह है कि ममता इस वक्त अभिषेक बनर्जी पर कस रहे CBI के शिकंजे से परेशान हैं। ममता जानती हैं कि शिक्षकों की भर्ती में हुए घोटाले में अभिषेक बनर्जी की मुश्किलें बढ़ सकती हैं। इस घोटाले में ममता की पार्टी के एक विधायक की गिरफ्तारी सोमवार को ही हुई है। इससे पहले तृणमूल के 2 विधायक, पार्थ चटर्जी और माणिक भट्टाचार्य भी इसी घोटाले में गिरफ्तार किए जा चुके हैं। हालांकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पिलहाल अभिषेक बनर्जी के खिलाफ जांच पर रोक लगा दी है, ममता जानती हैं कि अदालत से ज्यादा दिनों तक सुरक्षा नहीं मिल सकती। यही वजह है कि ममता ने अभी से इस मामले को राजनीतिक रंग देना शुरू कर दिया है।
ATIQ-ASHRAF KILLINGS: WHO IS THE CONSPIRATOR?

The only thing that needs to be clearly established is the motive. Nobody knows why the three youths killed the don and his brother. For the police, it is difficult to give replies about the motive of the killers. Questions are being raised why trigger-happy UP policemen did not fire a single shot at the killers. Why policemen stood aghast before overpowering the killers? If police had fired and killed the assassins, people might have said that police did this deliberately in order to hide all mysteries about the killers. There is no end to questions and finger pointing. But at least the facts about who helped these killers, who gave them costly automatic pistols, and who gave them training and money, must be revealed. This will surely unravel the mystery about the motive behind the killings. Unless any inquiry report finds out credible answers to these questions, nobody will trust that report. Already opposition leaders have started attacking Yogi’s government. It is true, in a democratic civil society, there must be no place for violence. There are laws for punishing criminals. No powers have been given to anybody to kill criminals. The killers of Atiq and Ashraf must be given strong punishment. It is also true that the parties and leaders who are questioning Yogi Adityanath on these killings, should compare the law and order situation in their own states with that of UP. They should also see why no communal riots took place in UP during the last six years, why there were hardly any big communal violence during Ramnavami, Hanuman Jayanti, Mohurram and other festivals. Both Mamata Banerjee and Nitish Kumar should see how Yogi took action against mafia gangs during the last six years. The reality is that it does make any difference to anybody whether action is taken against mafia or mafia dons like Atiq are killed. Opposition parties are utilizing this period to settle political scores with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these parties are using Yogi’s shoulders to fire political arrows at Modi. Opposition parties do not like Modi because the Prime Minister is taking nationwide action against corruption.
BENGAL TEACHERS’ SCAM: ABHISHEK BANERJEE GETS A BREATHER
On Monday, a Trinamool Congress MLA Jiban Krishna Saha was arrested in teachers recruitment scam. The same day, the Supreme Court stayed a Calcutta High Court order directing CBI and ED to interrogate Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the teachers recruitment scam. CBI had already sent a summons to Abhishek Banerjee, but it later said it will abide by the SC order. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee has alleged that the Centre is trying to revive fears about Citizenship Amendment Act, after a Home Ministry directive to UIDAI was forwarded to her office, which says, an exercise should start to eliminate illegal Aadhar cards in two border districts of Bengal. Mamata Banerjee alleged that Modi and Amit Shah want to raise the fear of NRC (National Register of Citizens) again to target a particular community. While Mamata alleged that BJP is trying to polarize Hindu voters, BJP leaders said that Mamata was following Muslim appeasement policy. Both Mamata and BJP are correct. BJP wants Hindu voters in Bengal, and Mamata cannot deny that she wants to polarize Muslim votes by raising fear about Hindutva. This is vote politics. The ground reality is that Mamata is worried about the teachers recruitment probe noose tightening around her nephew. With one of her MLAs arrested on Monday, and two MLAs Partha Chatterjee and Manik Bhattacharya already arrested, Mamata is seeing the writing on the wall. Though Supreme Court granted stay on probe against Abhishek Banerjee, Mamata knows that the protection from court will not last long. Already, Mamata is busy giving a political colour to the ongoing probe.

उत्तर प्रदेश के झांसी में गुरुवार को यूपी STF के साथ मुठभेड़ में गैंगस्टर अतीक अहमद के बेटे असद और उसके शूटर गुलाम की मौत हो गई। यह सूबे की सियासत में एक बड़ी घटना है । छह साल पहले तक यूपी में गैंगस्टर खुलेआम घूमा करते थे। जिस समय मुठभेड़ हुई, उसी समय प्रयागराज की एक अदालत अतीक अहमद और उसके भाई अशरफ की रिमांड अर्जियों पर सुनवाई कर रही थी। अतीक अहमद अपने बेटे की मौत की खबर सुनकर कोर्टरूम में रो पड़ा। 2005 में बीएसपी विधायक राजू पाल की हत्या हुई थी, और उसी मामले में मुख्य गवाह उमेश पाल की हत्या इस साल 24 फरवरी को हुई। उसके बाद दोनों मुख्य आरोपी असद और गुलाम पर 5-5 लाख रुपये का इनाम था। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने विधानसभा में गुस्से में कहा था कि ‘पूरे गैंग को मिट्टी में मिला दूंगा।’ योगी ने अपना वादा पूरा किया। झांसी एनकाउंटर में दोनों बदमाशों को मार गिराने वाली यूपी एसटीएफ की टीम का नेतृत्व दो डीएसपी, नवेंदु और विमल कर रहे थे। माफिया गिरोहों के खिलाफ यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के ऐलान-ए-जंग का काफी असर हुआ है। यूपी में बड़े अपराधी अब फरार चल रहे हैं। दो दिन पहले ही योगी ने कहा था कि उत्तर प्रदेश में घुसते ही अब बड़े से बड़े माफिया की पैंट गीली हो जाती है। गुजरात की जेल से प्रयागराज लाए जाते वक्त अतीक ने रिपोर्टर्स से कहा कि योगी ने ‘माफियागिरी’ खत्म कर दी, और सब मिट्टी में मिला दिया। अब तक अकेले अतीक अहमद की करीब 11 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति या तो जब्त हो चुकी है, या उस पर बुलडोजर चल चुका है। उत्तर प्रदेश में 2 बड़े माफिया गिरोह थे, जिनके सरगना थे, अतीक अहमद और मुख्तार अंसारी। छह साल पहले जब योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार आई थी, तब तक ये दोनों गैंगस्टर्स कानूनी दांव पेंचों का इस्तेमाल करते हुए दूसरे राज्यों की जेल में शिफ्ट हो गए थे । योगी दोनों को उत्तर प्रदेश ले कर आए । जेलों मे इन दोनों के जो मददगार थे, उनके खिलाफ भी ऐक्शन लिया, और अब दोनों का पूरा कुनबा जेल में हैं । इनका सारा साम्राज्य खत्म कर दिया गया है । सिर्फ अतीक और मुख्तार के खिलाफ ऐक्शन नहीं हुआ है, बल्कि योगी ने माफिया की करीब 15000 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति जब्त की है। अतीक अहमद जैसे अपराधी जो पहले कहते थे कि ‘डर काहे का’, अब वे कह रहे हैं कि बाबा ने पूरे खानदान को मिट्टी में मिला दिया और ‘अब रगड़ाई कर रहे हैं।’ जब माफिया इस तरह से डरे सहमे दिखते हैं तो आम लोगों में कानून के प्रति भरोसा बढ़ता है। यह योगी की बड़ी उपलब्धि है।
गहलोत को मोदी की गुगली
बुधवार को अजमेर-जयपुर-दिल्ली के बीच वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस का वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए शुभारंभ करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने ‘सियासी उठापटक और संकट’ में फंसे होने के बावजूद कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने और ‘विकास के लिए वक्त निकालने’ के लिए राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत की सराहना की। गहलोत दने राजस्थान के लिए रेलवे से जुड़ी कुछ मांगें रखी थी, जिनकी तरफ इशारा करते हुए मोदी ने कहा, ‘जो काम आजादी के तुरंत बाद होना चाहिए था, अब तक नहीं हो पाया, लेकिन आपका मुझ पर इतना भरोसा है, इतना भरोसा है कि आज वो काम भी आपने मेरे सामने रखे हैं। आप का यह विश्वास है, यही मित्रता की अच्छी ताकत है। और एक मित्र के नाते आप जो भरोसा रखते हैं उसके लिए मैं आपका बहुत आभार व्यक्त करता हूं।’ मोदी ने कहा कि आजादी के बाद से रेल मंत्रियों के चुनाव, नई ट्रेनों की घोषणा और यहां तक कि भर्ती में भी राजनीतिक स्वार्थ हावी रहा। उन्होंने कहा कि रेलवे में नौकरी देने के बहाने जमीनें ली गईं। आज गहलोत जी के दो-दो हाथ में लड्डू हैं। रेल मंत्री (अश्विनी वैष्णव) राजस्थान के हैं और रेलवे बोर्ड के चेयरमैन भी राजस्थान के हैं। गहलोत को समझ में ही नहीं आया कि वह मोदी की बात पर ताली बजाएं या फिर इस बात की चिंता करें कि इसका असर क्या होगा। गहलोत जानते हैं कि मोदी की तारीफ उन्हें महंगी पड़ सकती है और राहुल गांधी नाराज हो सकते हैं। इसलिए गहलोत ने प्रोग्राम के तुरंत बाद ट्विटर पर एक बयान जारी कर कहा, ‘मुझे दुख है कि आज मेरी मौजूदगी में आपने 2014 से पहले के सभी रेल मंत्रियों के फैसलों को भ्रष्टाचार और राजनीतिक स्वार्थ से प्रेरित बताया। आज आधुनिक ट्रेनें चल पा रही हैं क्योंकि डॉक्टर मनमोहन सिंह जी ने वित्त मंत्री के रूप में 1991 में आर्थिक उदारीकरण किया और नई तकनीक को भारत में विकसित होने का अवसर दिया। आज आपका भाषण पूरी तरह 2023-24 के विधानसभा एवं लोकसभा चुनावों को देखते हुए दिया गया है एवं यह बीजेपी के चुनावी एजेंडे के रूप में था।’ उन्होंने जिन रेल मंत्रियों के नाम अपने बयान में लिखे उनके नाम मोदी ने नहीं लिए थे, और जिन लालू यादव पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों का मोदी ने जिक्र किया था उनका नाम गहलोत ने नहीं लिया। संयोग से, ED ने बुधवार को दिल्ली में लालू के बेटे और बिहार के डिप्टी सीएम तेजस्वी यादव से ‘नौकरी के लिए जमीन’ घोटाले में पूछताछ की। गहलोत को इन सब बातों से कोई परेशानी नहीं है। वह तो बस इतना चाहते हैं कि मोदी ने उनकी जो तारीफ की, दोस्त कहा, उसका कोई गलत मतलब न निकाले। कांग्रेस में राहुल गांधी आजकल किसी को भी यह कहने में देर नहीं लगाते कि तुम मोदी के आदमी हो। सचिन पायलट वैसे भी आजकल गहलोत के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोलकर बैठे हैं। वह दिल्ली में राहुल गांधी से मिलने का इंतजार कर रहे हैं। जाहिर है, गहलोत फूंक फूंक कर कदम रखना चाहते हैं।

बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने अपने डिप्टी तेजस्वी यादव और अन्य नेताओं के साथ बुधवार को कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे, राहुल गांधी और कांग्रेस के अन्य नेताओं से मुलाकात की। खरगे ने बैठक को ‘ऐतिहासिक’ बताते हुए कहा कि विपक्षी दल अगले साल होने वाले लोकसभा चुनाव को एकजुट होकर लड़ेंगे। राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि विपक्षी दलों को एकजुट करने की दिशा में यह एक ऐतिहासिक कदम है और कांग्रेस इस वैचारिक लड़ाई में सभी दलों को साथ लेगी। इसके बाद नीतीश और तेजस्वी ने AAP सुप्रीमो अरविंद केजरीवाल से भी मुलाकात की। बाद में, केजरीवाल ने एक अच्छी पहल करने के लिए नीतीश की सराहना की और कहा, ‘हम इस पर साथ-साथ हैं और जिस तरह चीजें आगे बढ़ रही हैं, हमें अच्छा लग रहा है।’ विरोधी दलों की एकता की बात सुनने में जितनी पक्की लगती है, असलियत में उतनी ही कच्ची है। यह सही है कि ये सारे नेता आजकल ED और CBI के सताए हुए हैं। ईडी और सीबीआई के कथित दुरुपयोग के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट के हस्तक्षेप की मांग करते हुए 14 विपक्षी दलों ने एक संयुक्त याचिका पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे, लेकिन शीर्ष अदालत ने यह कहते हुए उन्हें बैरंग लौटा दिया था कि ‘राजनेता कानून और गिरफ्तारी से छूट के तहत विशेष बर्ताव की मांग नहीं कर सकते ।’ हमने देखा कि कैसे अडानी विवाद को लेकर JPC की मांग के मुद्दे पर भी विपक्षी एकता नजर आई थी, लेकिन पिछले हफ्ते एनसीपी सुप्रीमो शरद पवार ने इसमे पलीता लगा दिया। बाद में पवार ‘विपक्षी एकता के लिए’ JPC की मांग का विरोध न करने पर सहमत हुए। इसी तरह, सावरकर के सवाल पर राहुल गांधी के विचारों से न शरद पवार सहमत हैं और न ही उद्धव ठाकरे। वहीं, संजय राउत भले ही कहते रहें कि कांग्रेस, शिवसेना (उद्धव) और NCP की महा विकास आघाड़ी फेविकोल का जोड़ है, टूटेगा नहीं, लेकिन अजीत पवार के मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे और उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस से मुलाकात की खबरों ने फेविकोल के इस जोड़ पर पानी डाल दिया है।
YOGI FULFILS HIS PROMISE, ATIQ’S SON, ACCOMPLICE KILLED
The death of gangster Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad and his shooter Ghulam in an encounter with UP Special Task Force in Jhansi on Thursday morning marks a watershed in UP politics, where till six years ago, gangsters used to roam free. At the time the encounter was taking place, a court in Prayagraj was hearing remand applications for Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf. Atiq Ahmed wept in courtroom on hearing news about his son’s death. Both Asad and Ghulam were carrying rewards of Rs 5 lakh each. They were the main accused in the murder of Umesh Pal, a key witness in BSP MLA Raju Pal’s murder case of 2005. An angry chief minister Yogi Adityanath had then promised in the state assembly, that he would “crush the gang (mitti me milaa doonga).” Yogi has fulfilled his promise. The UP STF team that killed both the gangsters in the Jhansi encounter was led by two DSPs Navendu and Vimal. The war cry against mafia gangs by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath is yielding big dividends. Big criminals in UP are now on the run. Two days ago, Yogi said, big gangsters now tremble in fear and ‘wet their pants’ when they enter UP. Atiq Ahmed, while being brought from Gujarat jail to Prayagraj, had told reporters, “ ‘mafiagiri’ is now over, and everything has been decimated (mitti me mila diya)”. Nearly Rs 11 crore worth properties of Atiq Ahmed alone has been either attached or razed. There were two big criminal gangs active in UP, belonging to Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari, when Yogi came to power six years ago. Both the gangsters were using legal subterfuges to shift themselves to jails outside UP. It was Yogi who brought both the gangsters back to UP, and also took action against officials who were helping gangsters inside jails. As of now, almost the entire families of both gangsters are now in jail, and their empires lie in tatters. Not only Atiq and Mukhtar, but Yogi has attached nearly Rs 15,000 crore worth properties belonging to mafia gangs. Gangsters like Atiq Ahmed, who earlier used to nonchalantly say ‘dar kahey kaa’ (why should I fear?) are now saying that his entire family has been decimated and “now ‘ragadai’ (rubbing the wrong way) is going on”. When mafia leaders speak such words out of fear, the common man’s trust in law increases. The credit goes to Yogi.
MODI THROWS A GOOGLY AT GEHLOT
On Wednesday, when Vande Bharat Express between Ajmer-Jaipur-Delhi was launched via video conferencing, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot for attending the event despite, what he said, being busy in ‘political tumble and crisis’ and ‘taking time out for development’. Referring to Gehlot’s demand for providing rail links to Banswara, Tonk, Karauli, Modi said, “you have so much trust in me that the work that you could have got done during Congress rule, you are asking me to do as a friend. This trust of yours is the strength of friendship. I am grateful for the trust you reposed in me as a friend.” Modi said, “since Independence, political interest dominated in the selection of Railway Minister, announcement of new trains and even in job recruitment. Land was acquired under the false pretence of giving railway jobs. Today, Gehlot ji has two ‘ladoos’ in his hand. The Railway Minister (Ashwini Vaishnaw) is from Rajasthan and the Railway Board chairman is also from his state”. Gehlot was in a fix whether to clap his hands in glee or stay mum. Gehlot knows, Modi’s praise could prove costly for him in Congress and Rahul Gandhi can become exasperated. He immediately took to Twitter, and posted: “I am sorry, today, in my presence, you termed the decisions of all railway ministers prior to 2014 as motivated by corruption and political self-interest. Indian Railways was modernized because of Dr Manmohan Singh’s 1991 economic liberalization policy, that provided new technology to upgrade.…Today your speech was aimed at Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, and it was like the BJP’s poll agenda”. He named all the previous Railway Ministers, except Lalu Prasad Yadav. Coincidentally, Lalu’s son, Bihar deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav was questioned by ED in Delhi on Wednesday in the ‘land for jobs’ scam. Gehlot has no problem with this, but he wants to ensure that his friends in Congress do not misread the praises heaped on him by PM Modi. Rahul Gandhi has the habit of labelling all dissenters in his party as pro-Modi. With assembly polls due later this year, Gehlot wants to avoid this. Already, his ‘bete noire’ Sachin Pilot is up in arms. Gehlot wants to tread the path carefully.
NITISH, RAHUL, KEJRIWAL ON OPPOSITION UNITY
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, along with his deputy Tejashwi Yadav and other leaders, met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday. Kharge described the meeting as ‘historic’ and said, opposition parties will contest next year’s Lok Sabha polls unitedly. Rahul Gandhi said, ‘this was a historic step towards uniting opposition parties and Congress will take all parties along in this ideological battle’. Later, Nitish and Tejashwi also met AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. Later, Kejriwal praised Nitish for taking ‘a good initiative’, and said, “we are on board with this and we like the way it is adding up”. Talks of Opposition unity may look solid, but the ground realities are weak. It is true that most of the opposition leaders are facing the brunt of Enforcement Directorate and CBI. Fourteen opposition parties had signed a joint petition seeking Supreme Court’s intervention against alleged misuse of ED and CBI, but the apex court declined to entertain the petition, saying “politicians can’t seek special treatment under law and immunity from arrest”. We saw how opposition parties came together on the issue of demanding a joint parliamentary probe into Adani controversy, but last week, NCP chief Sharad Pawar opposed the demand saying JPC probe will be ineffective. Later, Pawar agreed not to oppose the demand for JPC ‘for the sake of opposition unity’. Similarly, on Rahul’s remarks about Veer Savarkar, both Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray are unhappy because the people of Maharashtra consider Savarkar as an icon. Already, there are signs that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (alliance) in Maharashtra between Congress, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) and NCP, may face turmoil, after reports came of Ajit Pawar meeting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.
अतीक अहमद पर छाया योगी का खौफ
दर्जनों लोगों को मौत की नींद सुलाने वाला गैंगस्टर अतीक अहमद मंगलवार को एक बार फिर यूपी पुलिस की गाड़ियों के काफिले में गुजरात की साबरमती जेल से प्रयागराज की अदालत में पेश होने के लिए रवाना हुआ। अतीक को करीब दो हफ्ते पहले उमेश पाल की किडनैपिंग के केस में पेशी के लिए प्रयागराज इसी तरह लाया गया था। अतीक अहमद के चेहरे पर खौफ के निशान साफ नजर आ रहे थे। जेल वैन के अंदर से पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए गैंगस्टर ने कहा, ‘आप लोग हो तो डर नहीं लग रहा है ।’ कई हत्याओं में शामिल अतीक ने बड़ी बेशर्मी से कहा, ‘सरकार ने कहा था, मिट्टी में मिला दिया जाएगा, हम बिल्कुल मिट्टी में मिल गये हैं। अब तो मिट्टी में मिलने के बाद रगड़ा जा रहा है। मेरे परिवार को परेशान किया जा रहा है। मैं आप लोगों की वजह से सुरक्षित हूं।’ उम्मीद तो यही है कि अतीक सुरक्षित प्रयागराज की नैनी जेल तक पहुंच जाएगा, लेकिन जब तक नहीं पहुंचेगा, तब तक उसकी सांसें अटकी रहेंगी। उसे लगता है गाड़ी कहीं भी पलट सकती है, उसे डर है एक्सीडेंट कभी भी हो सकता है। अपराधियों में कानून का, पुलिस का, सरकार का ऐसा खौफ कुछ मामलों में जरूरी होता है, और माफिया में यह डर योगी आदित्यनाथ ने पैदा किया है। यह योगी की बड़ी कामयाबी है। इससे पहले की सरकारों में अपराधियों पर कार्रवाई उनकी क्राइम लिस्ट के हिसाब से नहीं, उनकी जाति और मजहब देख कर होती थी। अपराधियों के खौफ का इस्तेमाल वोट बटोरने में होता था। इसलिए अतीक अहमद हों या मुख्तार अंसारी, जिसकी सरकार होती थी ये उसके साथ हो लेते थे और बचे रहते थे। अब बड़े माफिया हों या छोटे-मोटे अपराधी, सबकी क्राइम कुंडली की तहकीकात की जा रही है। जिसकी फाइल खुली या तो वह गले में तख्ती लटका थाने पहुंच गया, या फिर यूपी की सरहद से बाहर हो गया। यूपी में पुलिस को खुली छूट दी गई है। पिछले 6 साल में योगी के राज में, 23 मार्च तक 10,713 एनकाउंटर हो चुके हैं जिनमें 178 खूंखार अपराधी मारे जा चुके हैं और 23,069 अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। अतीक अहमद इन्हीं आंकड़ों को देखकर डर रहा है। यह डर यूपी के लिए, और वहां के लोगों के लिए अच्छा है। आज यूपी में लोग अपने आप को सुरक्षित महसूस करते हैं। इसका श्रेय योगी को जाता है।
क्या सचिन पायलट का धैर्य जवाब दे रहा है?
वसुंधरा राजे के शासन के दौरान हुए कथित भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग को लेकर कांग्रेस के असंतुष्ट नेता सचिन पायलट मंगलवार को जयपुर में एक दिन के उपवास पर बैठे। इसके बाद बुधवार को वह पार्टी नेताओं से बातचीत के लिए दिल्ली पहुंचे। पायलट ने अपने मंच के बैकग्राउंड में कांग्रेस के चुनाव चिह्न का इस्तेमाल करने से परहेज किया। पायलट को राष्ट्रीय लोकतांत्रिक पार्टी के सांसद हनुमान बेनीवाल का भी समर्थन मिला, जिन्होंने उन्हें कांग्रेस छोड़ने और नई पार्टी बनाने की सलाह दी। बेनीवाल मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत के पुराने प्रतिद्वंद्वी हैं। सचिन पायलट नाम तो पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री वसुंधरा राजे का ले रहे हैं, लेकिन निशाना अशोक गहलोत पर लगा रहे हैं। इसके पीछे की वजह साफ है। पायलट किसी भी तरह से मुख्यमंत्री बनना चाहते हैं। उन्हें अब राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी के वादों पर यकीन नहीं है, इसलिए उन्होंने इस साल के आखिर में होने जा रहे विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले आखिरी दांव चल दिया है। उनका सीधा संदेश यही है कि या तो कांग्रेस उन्हें मुख्यमंत्री पद का दावेदार घोषित करे या फिर वह अपना रास्ता अलग कर लेंगे। इसीलिए उन्होंने अनशन के वक्त जो पोस्ट लगाए, उसमें न कांग्रेस कहीं थी और न कांग्रेस के नेता। दूसरी तरफ, अशोक गहलोत पुराने चावल हैं। सियासत के मैदान में सचिन पायलट उनके सामने बच्चे हैं। पायलट ने पिछले साल सितंबर में गहलोत की सरकार गिराने में पूरी ताकत लगा दी थी, लेकिन सीएम के एक दांव के सामने उनकी सारी चालें धरी रह गईं। अब सचिन पायलट का सब्र जवाब दे गया है, इसलिए उन्होंने बगावती तेवर अपनाए हैं। सियासत में सब्र से ज्यादा तजुर्बा काम आता है, और अशोक गहलोत के पास 50 साल का अनुभव है। वह ये साबित करने की कोशिश करेंगे कि पायलट ने पर्दे के पीछे बीजेपी से हाथ मिला लिया है, और उनके जहाज को कमांड बीजेपी से मिल रही है। इस मामले में पायलट के लिए जवाब देना मुश्किल हो जाएगा। फिलहाल, राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी का फोकस राजस्थान पर नहीं दिख रहा है। वे कुछ दूसरी चुनौतियों का सामना करने में लगे हुए हैं।
फिर सावरकर के चक्कर में फंसे राहुल
लोकसभा सदस्यता गंवाने के बाद राहुल गांधी ने मंगलवार को केरल के वायनाड में अपनी बहन प्रियंका के साथ रोड शो किया। राहुल ने एक रैली को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, ‘मेरे लिए सांसद होना सिर्फ एक टैग है। बीजेपी मुझसे वह टैग छीन सकती है, मेरा घर छीन सकती है, लेकिन मैं परेशान होने वाला नहीं हूं। मैं जनता के मुद्दे उठाता रहूंगा।’ प्रियंका ने अपने भाई की सराहना करते हुए उन्हें ‘निडर और ईमानदार योद्धा’ बताया। उन्होंने कहा, ‘सरकार राहुल को उनके घर से निकाल सकती है, लेकिन लोगों के दिलों से कैसे निकालेगी?’ पिछले हफ्ते बीजेपी में शामिल हुए कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता एके एंटनी के बेटे अनिल एंटनी ने कहा, ‘राहुल के रोड शो का कोई असर नहीं होगा, क्योंकि बाकी के राज्यों की तरह केरल के लोगों को भी समझ में आने लगा है कि देश को नरेंद्र मोदी ही आगे ले जा सकते हैं।’ वायनाड में राहुल के स्वागत में जो पोस्टर लगाए गए थे उसमें लिखा हुआ था ‘मैं सावरकर नहीं, गांधी हूं, और गांधी माफी नहीं मांगते।’ पूरा शहर ऐसे हजारों पोस्टरों से भरा पड़ा था। वायनाड में लगे पोस्टरों को लेकर महाराष्ट्र में फिर विवाद शुरू हो गया। कांग्रेस के नेता और महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री पृथ्वीराज चव्हाण ने इसे लेकर सफाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि वायनाड में जो पोस्टर लगे थे, वह वहां के स्थानीय लोगों ने लगाए थे, कांग्रेस पार्टी ने नहीं। चव्हाण ने कहा, ‘बाकी पार्टियों (शिवसेना) के साथ हुई बातचीत में जो तय हुआ था, कांग्रेस लीडरशिप उस पर कायम है।’ लगता है सावरकर का नाम राहुल गांधी का पीछा आसानी से नहीं छोड़ेगा। राहुल गांधी ने प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारी वीर सावरकर को ‘माफीवीर’ बताया था, जिन्होंने अंग्रेजों को कई दया याचिकाएं भेजी थीं। सावरकर को महाराष्ट्र में विभूतियों में गिना जाता है। NCP सुप्रीमो शरद पवार और शिवसेना (उद्धव) के चीफ उद्धव ठाकरे ने कांग्रेस के नेताओं से साफ-साफ कहा है कि वीर सावरकर सिर्फ महाराष्ट्र के नहीं, बल्कि पूरे देश के गौरव हैं। विपक्षी नेताओं की बैठक में, जिसमें शिवसेना का उद्धव गुट मौजूद नहीं था, शरद पवार ने सोनिया और राहुल गांधी दोनों से कहा कि कांग्रेस को इस तरह के भावनात्मक विषय पर बोलने से बचना चाहिए। पवार ने कथित तौर पर राहुल से कहा, ‘हमें भावनात्मक मुद्दों से बचना चाहिए और वास्तविक मुद्दों पर टिके रहना चाहिए।’ कांग्रेस सावरकर पर निशाना न साधने की बात पर सहमत तो हो गई, लेकिन ऐसा लगता है कि अभी यह संदेश केरल तक नहीं पहुंचा है।
YOGI’S FEAR IN THE MIND OF ATIQ AHMED
Two weeks after gangster Atiq Ahmed was brought in a convoy of UP police vehicles from Ahmedabad to Prayagraj and taken back, a repetition took place on Tuesday. Atiq was again taken in a convoy to Prayagraj, where he will be produced in court. There were signs of fear evident on his face. While speaking to reporters, the gangster said, “I am safe because of you people.” The man, who was behind the murders of dozens of people, brazenly said, “The government has already decimated me…My family is ruined. I am safe because of you.” Atiq will reach Naini Jail near Prayagraj by Wednesday evening, but till then, he is on razor’s edge, fearing death due to accident. Fear of law and police in the minds of criminals is essential. It goes to the credit of Yogi Adityanath who has struck fear in the minds of mafia gangs in UP. This is his biggest achievement. During previous regimes in UP, action against criminals used to be taken on the basis of caste and religion. These gangsters were used to corner votes by spreading fear. Gangsters like Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari, used to always side with the party in power to avail protection. Now that the files of all criminals, whether big or small, have been opened, several of them have started going to police stations to surrender, or cross over to neighbouring states. UP police has been given a free hand to deal with criminals. In the last six years of Yogi’s rule, there have been 10,713 encounters till March 23. One hundred and seventy eight dreaded criminals were killed and 23,069 criminals were arrested. Atiq Ahmed is afraid because of these telling figures. Such fear among criminals is good for the state and its people. People in Uttar Pradesh are now safe. The credit goes to Yogi.
SACHIN PILOT: IS PATIENCE RUNNING OUT ?
Dissident Congress leader Sachin Pilot sat on a day-long fast in Jaipur on Tuesday demanding action against alleged corruption during Vasundhara Raje’s regime. On Wednesday he reached Delhi for talks with party leaders. Pilot avoided using Congress symbol in the backdrop of the dais. Pilot got support from Rashtriya Loktantrik Party MP Hanuman Beniwal, who advised him to leave Congress and form a new party. Beniwal is an old rival of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The paradox is that Sachin Pilot is naming ex-CM Vasundhara Raje, but his barbs are actually meant for Ashok Gehlot. The reason is quite clear. Pilot wants to become the CM at all costs. He doesn’t trust Rahul or Priyanka Gandhi any more for fulfilling their promise. This is Pilot’s last gamble before Rajasthan goes to assembly elections later this year. His message is clear: Declare me as the chief ministerial candidate or I will go my own way. The posters that Pilot used at his dharna site, do not mention Congress party or its leaders. On the other hand, Ashok Gehlot is a wily, experienced politician. Sachin Pilot is a kid compared to Gehlot’s innings in politics. In September last year, Pilot tried his best to dislodge Gehlot’s government, but the wily chief minister nipped his move in the bud. Pilot is losing patience and he is on the brink of open revolt. In politics, experience matter more than impatience. Ashok Gehlot has been in politics for five decades. He will try to prove that Pilot is working at the behest of BJP. In such a case, Pilot will find it difficult to defend himself. Presently, both Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are not focussed on Rajasthan. They are busy facing other challenges.
RAHUL AND SAVARKAR, AGAIN
After losing his Lok Sabha membership, Rahul Gandhi took out a roadshow with sister Priyanka, in Wayanad, Kerala on Tuesday. Addressing a rally, Rahul said, ‘for me, MP is just a tag, BJP can take away that tag, it can take away my home, but I am not afraid, I will continue to raise people’s issues’. Priyanka praised her brother as a ‘warrior, full or courage and honesty’. She said, ‘government may throw Rahul out of his home, but it cannot throw him out of the hearts of people.’ Anil Antony, son of senior Congress leader A K Antony, who joined BJP last week, said, ‘Rahul’s roadshow will not have any impact, because like other states, people in Kerala have realized that only Modi can take the country forward.’ In Wayanad, there were thousands of welcome posters on which was written, “I am not Savarkar, I am a Gandhi, Gandhis never apologize”. These posters caused consternation in Maharashtra. Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan quickly clarified that the posters were put up by local residents in Wayanad, and not by Congress party. Chavan said, ‘Congress leadership stands by its assurance to allies (read Shiv Sena) on the issue of Savarkar.’ It seems the Savarkar issue is going to nag Rahul Gandhi again. Rahul Gandhi had described famous revolutionary Veer Savarkar as ‘maafiveer’, who sent several mercy petitions to the British. Savarkar is considered an icon in Maharashtra. NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena (Uddhav) chief Uddhav Thackeray have clearly told Congress leaders that Savarkar is not only the pride of Maharashtra, but the whole of India. At the opposition leaders’ meeting, where Shiv Sena was a notable absentee, Sharad Pawar told both Sonia and Rahul Gandhi that Congress must avoid speaking on such an emotional subject. ‘We should avoid emotional and emotive issues and stick to real issues’, Pawar reportedly told Rahul. Congress agreed to tone down its criticism of Savarkar, but it appears the message is yet to reach Kerala.
