दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की तिहाड़ जेल में एक आरोपी रेपिस्ट के हाथों मालिश कराने के खुलासे के ठीक एक दिन बाद बुधवार को बीजेपी ने एक और वीडियो जारी किया। इस वीडियो में जैन तिहाड़ जेल के अंदर बाहर से मंगाए गए लज़ीज़ व्यंजन का लुत्फ उठाते नजर आ रहे हैं।

बीजेपी प्रवक्ता शहजाद पूनावाला ने एक वीडियो जारी किया जिसमें जैन को अपने सेल के अंदर बिस्तर पर बैठकर फ्रूट, सलाद और अन्य पौष्टिक भोजन लेते दिखाया गया है। इस वीडियो में दिख रहा है कि एक आदमी जेल के अंदर सत्येंद्र जैन की सेल में आता है, खाना परोसता है और जैन के पास एक कूड़ेदान भी रखता है। जैसे ही यह वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर जारी हुआ, मुंबई के मरीन ड्राइव पर पोस्टर नजर आने लगे जिसमें लिखा था-‘Aam Aadmi gets Khas Service, Massage gives the Wrong Message’. (आम आदमी को मिलती है खास सेवा, मसाज से जाता है गलत संदेश)

सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील ने मंगलवार को कोर्ट में यह दावा किया था कि उन्हें ठीक से खाना नहीं मिल रहा है और उनका वजन 28 किलोग्राम गिर गया है। लेकिन तिहाड़ जेल के एक अधिकारी ने इस दावे को खारिज करते हुए कहा था कि जैन का वजन अबतक 8 किलो बढ़ चुका है। बुधवार को जैन के वकील ने फिर से वीडियो के ‘लीक’ होने का मुद्दा उठाया । उन्होंने कहा कि ‘तिहाड़ जेल मसाज पार्लर बन गया है’ इस तरह की हेडिंग मीडिया में चलाई जा रही है। कोर्ट ने तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन को खाने के मुद्दे पर गुरुवार दोपहर 2 बजे तक जवाब दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया। वहीं कोर्ट ने तिहाड़ जेल प्रशासन से सोमवार को जैन की मेडिकल रिपोर्ट पेश करने को कहा है।

बीजेपी प्रवक्ता शहजाद पूनावाला ने वीडियो जारी करते हुए ट्वीट किया, ‘ मीडिया से एक और वीडियो! रेपिस्ट से मालिश कराने और उसे फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट बताने के बाद सत्येंद्र जैन को शानदार भोजन का आनंद लेते देखा जा सकता है! अटैन्डेंट उन्हें ऐसे भोजन परोसते हैं जैसे कि वह छुट्टी पर किसी रिसॉर्ट में हों! केजरीवाल जी ने यह तय किया है कि हवालाबाज को वीवीआईपी मजा मिले न कि सजा!’ बीजेपी ने मांग की है कि जैन को कैबिनेट से बर्खास्त कर दूसरी जेल में शिफ्ट किया जाए।

इसमें सबसे चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि सत्येंद्र जैन की ओर से यह दावा किया जाता रहा कि मालिश करनेवाला फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट था। लेकिन वह फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट नहीं बल्कि रेपिस्ट निकला। जेल अधिकारियों ने उस शख्स की पहचान रिंकू नामक कैदी के तौर पर की जिसे पिछले साल एक मासूम बच्ची से बलात्कार के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। आरोपी के खिलाफ POCSO एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया था और उसे जैन की सेल के पास कैदी वार्ड में रखा गया था।

जैसे ही मालिश करनेवाले शख्स की पहचान उजागर हुई बीजेपी ने आरोप लगाया कि आप सरकार ने तिहाड़ जेल को ‘स्पा और मसाज पार्टी’ में बदल दिया है। दिल्ली के डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया ने तिहाड़ जेल में जैन की फिजियोथेरेपी पर सवाल उठाने के लिए बीजेपी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया था और दावा किया था कि जैन को चोट लग गई थी और उन्हें जेल के अंदर फिजियोथेरेपी दी जा रही थी।

ऐसे कयास लगाए जा रहे हैं कि अब एक और वीडियो सामने आने वाला है जिसमें सत्येंद्र जैन की पत्नी जेल के अंदर सेल में जाकर उन्हें खाना खिला रही हैं। ये भी खबर है कि एक वीडियो में सत्येंद्र जैन जेल के अंदर अपनी पार्टी के लोगों के साथ मीटिंग करते दिखाई देंगे। जैन के वकील ने मंगलवार को अदालत से गुहार लगाई कि तिहाड़ जेल की अथॉरिटी को यह आदेश दिया जाए कि सीसीटीवी फुटेज को लीक ना होने दें।

ईडी ने जवाब में कहा कि हमने कुछ भी लीक नहीं किया और ना आगे हम ऐसा करेंगे। ईडी के वकील ने कहा कि फुटेज तब लीक हो सकती है जब सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील को इसकी पेन ड्राइव दी गई। सबसे दिलचस्प बात यह है कि सत्येंद्र जैन के वकील ने एक बार भी कोर्ट में यह नहीं कहा कि उनके क्लाइंट की मालिश का जो वीडियो दिखाया जा रहा है वो गलत है।

अब जैन की मालिश करने वाले जेल के कैदी के बारे में आपको बता दें। रिंकू पर एक मासूम बच्ची के साथ बलात्कार का आरोप है और उसके खिलाफ पॉक्सो कानून और आईपीसी की धारा 376, 506 और 509 के तहत मामला दर्ज किया गया है। वह कोई फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट या पैरा मेडिकल एक्सपर्ट नहीं है। अब सवाल उठता है कि बलात्कार जैसे जघन्य अपराध के आरोपी को दिल्ली के एक मंत्री की मालिश करने की इजाजत कैसे दी गई? बीजेपी प्रवक्ता गौरव भाटिया ने पूछा कि क्या अरविंद केजरीवाल एक बलात्कारी का समर्थन कर रहे हैं? भाटिया का सवाल था, एक आरोपी दूसरे आरोपी की मसाज कैसे कर सकता है?

कांग्रेस ने भी इस मुद्दे पर अरविंद केजरीवाल को घेरा। कांग्रेस प्रवक्ता सुप्रिया श्रीनेत ने कहा कि “केजरीवाल जिसे फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट बता रहे थे वो तो एक बलात्कारी निकला। अब केजरीवाल इस पर क्या कहेंगे ? जो लोग राजनीति बदलने की बातें करते थे वो बड़ी जल्दी बदल गए।“ कांग्रेस की एक अन्य नेता अलका लांबा ने मांग की कि अब केजरीवाल को देश से माफी मांगनी चाहिए और सत्येंद्र जैन को बर्खास्त करना चाहिए। वहीं आप नेता और दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय ने इन आरोपों को खारिज करते हुए कहा-‘यह आम आदमी पार्टी को बदनाम करने की साजिश है क्य़ोंकि MCD के चुनाव में 4 दिसंबर को जनता बीजेपी का इलाज करने वाली है, इसलिए ये सब किया जा रहा है।’

जेल में बलात्कार का आरोपी कैदी मंत्री की मालिश कर रहा है और जैन के साथी मंत्री कह रहे हैं कि बीजेपी वाले साज़िश कर रहे हैं। मालिश और साज़िश में क्या फर्क है, यह इस बात से पता चल जाता है कि मालिश करने वाला कौन है। कल तक केजरीवाल इस मालिश को इलाज बता रहे थे। लेकिन यह साफ हो गया कि यह ना कोई ट्रीटमेंट हो रहा था ना कोई थेरेपी। जेल में विचाराधीन क़ैदी मंत्री जी के सिर, पैर और कमर की मालिश कर रहा है। जिस पर बलात्कार का आरोप है, वह फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट कैसे हो गया, यह कोई नहीं बताता । सवाल है, केजरीवाल सत्येंद्र जैन के हर गुनाह का बचाव क्यों कर रहे हैं ? सीसीटीवी पर सत्येंद्र जैन की मालिश पकड़ी गई तब भी केजरीवाल उनका बचाव क्यों कर रहे हैं ? इस सवाल का जवाब मिलना ज़रूरी है।

केजरीवाल के लिए मंगलवार को एक और बुरी खबर दिल्ली से आई। आम आदमी पार्टी के नाराज कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपनी ही पार्टी के विधायक गुलाब सिंह यादव की पिटाई कर दी। पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने विधायक को दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटा। विधायक जी जैसे-तैसे अपनी अपनी जान बचाकर वहां से निकले और थाने पहुंचकर FIR दर्ज कराई। जिन कार्यकर्ताओं पर गुलाब सिंह यादव FIR दर्ज कराई वो भी थाने पहुंच गए और उल्टा विधायक के खिलाफ ही आप की महिला कार्यकर्ता के साथ बदतमीज़ी की शिकायत दर्ज करा दी।

दरअसल, आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक गुलाब सिंह एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर श्याम विहार में अपने कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बैठक कर रहे थे। लेकिन बैठक के दौरान विधायक जी पर कार्यकर्ताओं ने टिकट बेचने का आरोप लगाते हुए हंगामा कर दिया। कार्यकर्ताओं ने ‘चोर – चोर’ के नारे लगाए गए। नाराज कार्यकर्ता विधायक के साथ मारपीट करने लगे। जैसे ही विधायक गुलाब सिंह ने बाहर निकलने की कोशिश की तो कार्यकर्ताओं ने उन्हें दौड़ा दिया। आखिर में खुद को बचाने के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक को मौके से भागना पड़ा।

आम आदमी पार्टी के एक कार्यकर्ता सुमित शैकीन ने आरोप लगाया कि विधायक गुलाब सिंह ने पार्टी का टिकट दिलाने के एवज में एक करोड़ रुपए लिए थे। इस पर विधायक भड़क गए और गाली-गलौज शुरू हो गई। पिछले एमसीडी चुनाव में आम आदमी पार्टी ने सुमित शौकीन को छावला वार्ड से टिकट दिया था। इस बार परिसीमन के बाद इस सीट का नाम बदलकर नंगली सकरावती वार्ड कर दिया गया। सुमित शौकीन अपनी पत्नी ज्योति शौकीन के लिए टिकट मांग रहा था। सुमित का कहना है कि उसने इसके लिए पैसे भी दिए थे लेकिन पार्टी ने गीतू शौकीन को टिकट दे दिया। इसी से सुमित शौकीन नाराज़ था। इसी नाराज़गी को दूर करने के लिए पार्टी ऑफ़िस में बैठक चल रही थी जहां पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं ने गुलाब सिंह का कॉलर पकड़ा और फिर उनकी पिटाई शुरू कर दी।

शाम में विधायक ने ट्वीट कर सारा दोष बीजेपी पर मढ़ दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि स्थानीय बीजेपी पार्षद के उकसाने के कारण यह हंगामा हुआ। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि बीजेपी पार्षद और इस बार का बीजेपी उम्मीदवार आरोपियों को बचाने के लिए पुलिस थाने में मौजूद थे। लेकिन जब सुमित शौकीन की पत्नी ज्योति शौकीन से इस मुद्दे पर बात की गई तो उन्होंने इंडिया टीवी को बताया कि उनके पति पिछले 8 साल से इलाके में काम कर रहे हैं और टिकट की पहली दावेदारी उनकी थी लेकिन विधायक ने पैसे लेकर दूसरी महिला को टिकट दे दिया। ज्योति ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि विधायक ने उसके पति के साथ बदतमीज़ी की जिसके जवाब में उन्होंने विधायक को तमाचा लगा दिया।

नाराजगी आम आदमी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ताओं की है, पिटाई आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक की हो रही है, लेकिन हर बार की तरह आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय ने कहा कि बीजेपी उनकी पार्टी को बदनाम करने के लिए मिशन मोड पर काम कर रही है। बीजेपी का एजेंडा केवल केजरीवाल को गाली देने का है इसीलिए ऐसे वीडियो और स्टिंग सामने आ रहे हैं।

गोपाल राय के इन आरोपों का जवाब बीजेपी नेता मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने दिया। उन्होंने केजरीवाल की तुलना लीबिया के पूर्व तानाशाह मुअम्मर गद्दाफी से की। सिरसा ने कहा कि केजरीवाल तो इक्कीसवीं सदी के गद्दाफ़ी हैं। जैसे गद्दाफ़ी के लालच और पैसे की भूख ने उसे वहशी बना दिया था आज वही हाल केजरीवाल का हो गया है।

आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकटों को लेकर पैसे की डिमांड और सप्लाई का यह तीसरा मामला सामने आया है। इन तीनों मामलों में इसे एक्सपोज करने वाले आम आदमी पार्टी के कट्टर ईमानदार कार्यकर्ता हैं। तीनों मामलों में एक्सपोज होने वाले केजरीवाल की पार्टी के कट्टर ईमानदार नेता और कार्यकर्ता हैं। लेकिन केजरीवाल भी अपनी बात के पक्के हैं। कोई कुछ भी बताए, कोई कुछ भी दिखाए, वह मानने को तैयार नहीं है कि उनकी पार्टी में टिकट बिकते हैं।

दिल्ली में भी उनका जवाब वही है जो उत्तराखंड, हिमाचल और गुजरात में उन्होंने कहा। केजरीवाल का दावा है कि उनकी पार्टी चुनाव जीतने जा रही है इसलिए उन्हें बदनाम करने की साजिश हो रही है। वो बता देते हैं कि बीजेपी हारने वाली है इसलिए उनके खिलाफ ऐसी बातें कह रही है। लेकिन केजरीवाल यह नहीं बता पाते कि उनकी पार्टी के लोग स्टिंग ऑपरेशन क्यों कर रहे हैं ? उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोग बयान क्यों दे रहे हैं? और उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोगों ने अपने विधायक के साथ मारपीट क्यों की? केजरीवाल ने अपनी तरफ से पूरी चुप्पी साध रखी है।

A day after it was revealed that a jail inmate charged with rape of a girl under POCSO Act was working as a masseur for Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, BJP on Wednesday released another video of Jain having a sumptuous food brought from outside in Tihar jail.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala released the video that showed Jain sitting on his bed inside a cell having a meal with appetizers, and moving on to salads and nutritious food items. The video shows a man coming inside his cell, serving him food and placing a dustbin near him. As visual and social media flashed the video, posters appeared in Mumbai’s Marine Drive, saying “Aam Aadmi gets Khas Service, Massage gives the Wrong Message”.

On Tuesday, Jain’s lawyer had claimed in court that he was not getting proper food and had lost 28 kg weight. But an official of Tihar jail rejected this claim and said, Jain has gained 8 kg weight till now. On Wednesday, Jain’s lawyer again raised the ‘leak’ of videos and said headings are being flashed in media saying ‘Tihar jail has become a massage parlour’. The court directed the Tihar Jail authorities to file a reply soon for hearing at 2 pm on Thursday on the food issue. The court also sought a medical report from Tihar jail authorities for hearing on Monday.

While releasing the video, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala tweeted: “One more video from media! After taking maalish from rapist and calling him PHYSIO therapist, Satyendra Jain can be seen enjoying sumptuous meal! Attendants serve him food as if he is in a resort on vacation! Kejriwal ji ensured that Hawalabaaz gets VVIP maza not saza!”. BJP has demanded that Jain should be dismissed from cabinet and shifted to another jail.

The most surprising part is that Satyendar Jain has all along been claiming that it was a physiotherapist massaging him, but Tihar jail officials identified him as a jail inmate named Rinku, who was arrested last year on charge of raping an adolescent girl. He had been booked under POCSO Act and was lodged in a ward near Jain’s cell.

After the masseur’s identity came to light, BJP alleged that AAP government has converted Tihar jail into a ‘spa and massage party’. Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia had blamed BJP for questioning the physiotherapy of Jain in Tihar jail and had claimed that Jain was injured and was giving physiotherapy inside jail.

Speculations are rife that another video is going to be released showing Jain’s wife entering the prison cell and feeding her husband. There are reports of another video of Jain holding a meeting with AAP workers inside jail. Jain’s lawyer had pleaded before the court on Tuesday that Tihar jail authorities should be directed to ensure that no more CCTV footage of Jain inside jail be ‘leaked’.

In its reply, Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer said that the videos have not been leaked by ED officials nor will they be leaked in future. The ED lawyer said that the footage may have been leaked when a pen drive of the video was given to Jain’s lawyer. The most interesting part is that Jain’s lawyer did not remark even once inside court that the leakage of ‘massage’ video was unjustified.

Some details about the jail inmate who massaged Jain. Rinku is accused or raping an adolescent girl and has been booked under POCSO Act and under sections 376, 506 and 509 of IPC. He is not a para medical expert or physiotherapist. The question arises: How come a jail undertrial, charged of a heinous crime like rape, was allowed to provide massage to a Delhi minister? BJP spokesman Gaurav Bhatia asked whether AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is providing cover to a rapist? Bhatia asked, how can one accused give massage to another accused?

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “those who were claiming to cleanse Indian politics, have changed colours so soon. Kejriwal was claiming that the masseur was a physiotherapist, but he is a rapist.” Another Congress leader Alka Lamba demanded that Kejriwal must tender apology and dismiss Satyendar Jain. AAP leader and Delhi minister Gopal Rai rubbished the allegation and said, “this is a clear attempt to defame our party, because the people of Delhi are going to give BJP a treatment on December 4 MCD polling day”.

The question is: if a jail inmate, that too a rape accused, is giving massage to a minister, and the minister’s party says it is a ‘conspiracy’ on part of BJP, then one must differentiate between ‘maalish’ (massage) and ‘saazish’ (conspiracy). Now since it is known who was the masseur, it is pertinent to point out that two days ago Kejriwal was describing this as a ‘treatment’. Today it is clear that it was neither ‘treatment’ nor a ‘therapy’, but an undertrial prisoner giving a massage to the minister on his head, toes and backside. Nobody from AAP is explaining how a so-called physiotherapist is, in fact, a rapist. The moot question is: Why is Arvind Kejriwal defending Satyendar Jain for these serious lapses? This question needs to be answered by Kejriwal.

There was another bad news for AAP on Tuesday. AAP MLA Gulab Singh Yadav was thrashed and abused by his party workers, and he had to flee. He went to a police station and filed an FIR, but other party workers also reached the police station and filed a counter FIR alleging that Yadav has misbehaved with a female AAP worker.

Gulab Singh Yadav was holding a party meeting in Shyam Vihar in connection with MCD polls. During the meeting, some workers alleged that tickets were sold by the MLA. They chanted slogans like ‘Chor, Chor’ (thief). The party workers shoved and slapped the MLA, and showered abuses. The MLA had to run for his life.

One AAP worker Sumit Shoukeen alleged that the MLA had taken Rs 1 crore for giving a party ticket. This infuriated the MLA and a slang match ensued. In the last MCD elections, AAP had given Sumit Shokeen a ticket from Chhawla ward, but after delimitation, the seat’s name was changed to Nangli Sakrawati ward. Sumit was seeking party ticket for his wife Jyoti Shokeen. He claimed that he had given bribe to party leaders, but the party gave the ticket to another lady, Geetu Shokeen. This led to the altercation at the party workers meeting.

In the evening, the MLA tweeted and laid the blame on BJP. He said, the fracas took place at the instigation of local BJP councillor. He alleged that the local BJP candidate went to the police station to protect those who beat him up. But Jyoti Shokeen, ticket aspirant and wife of Sumit Shokeen, told India TV that her husband had been working for AAP for last eight years, but the MLA took bribe and gave the ticket to another lady. She also alleged that the MLA misbehaved with her, and, in return, she slapped the MLA.

While AAP workers are engaged in fisticuffs and beating up their MLA, the blame is again being laid at the door of BJP. Delhi minister Gopal Rai said that BJP has started working on an agenda to defame Kejriwal and his party by circulating sting videos. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa compared Kejriwal to Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. He said, Gaddafi’s lust for money made him a psychopath, and Kejriwal is following the same route.

This is the third case involving cash-for-ticket in AAP in recent days. In all the three cases, those who exposed the ‘kattar imaandaar’ (upright and honest) AAP leaders were the party workers themselves. But all these allegations seem to be having no impact on Kejriwal. He is unwilling to accept evidence that his party leaders are taking bribes in exchange for tickets.

Like Delhi, Kejriwal said the same thing in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. He is claiming that his party is going to win in Gujarat and Delhi, and that is why he is being made the target through stings and videos. Kejriwal is unable to explain why his own party men are doing these sting operations? Why his own party workers are giving statements against their leaders? Why his party workers are thrashing and abusing MLAs ? There is a stony silence on part of Kejriwal.

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल की आम आदमी पार्टी एमसीडी चुनावों से पहले मुश्किलों से घिरी नजर आ रही है। पार्टी पर फिर पैसों की हेराफेरी के आरोप लगे। पार्टी नेताओं का एक और स्टिंग सामने आया है। केजरीवाल कहते थे कि कोई पैसा मांगे तो स्टिंग कर लेना, अब एक बार फिर उनकी अपनी पार्टी की एक नेता ने केजरीवाल के साथी नेताओं का स्टिंग कर लिया।

उधर, मंगलवार को तिहाड़ जेल के आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने यह खुलासा किया कि दिल्ली के मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन की मालिश कर रहा शख्स कोई फिजियोथेरेपिस्ट नहीं बल्कि एक कैदी है। इस कैदी का नाम रिंकू है। रिंकू पॉक्सो (POCSO) एक्ट के तहत एक किशोरी से बलात्कार के मामले में जेल में बंद है। वह पिछले एक साल से दिल्ली की तिहाड़ जेल में है। सत्येंद्र जैन प्रवर्तन निदेशालय द्वारा लगाए गए मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के आरोपों का सामना कर रहे हैं। इस नए खुलासे से बीजेपी और आम आदमी पार्टी के बीच वाकयुद्ध का दौर शुरू हो गया। बीजेपी ने मांग की कि सत्येंद्र जैन को मंत्री पद से हटा दिया जाए। वहीं आप नेताओं ने इसे ‘विचहंट’ बताया।

सोमवार को आम आदमी पार्टी को एक और स्टिंग का सामना करना पड़ा। स्टिंग करने वाली नेता का नाम है बिंदु श्रीराम जो आम आदमी पार्टी की पूर्व कार्यकर्ता हैं। बिंदु श्रीराम ने दो स्टिंग किए। बिंदु श्रीराम ने स्टिंग ऑपरेशन करके यह आरोप लगाया कि केजरीवाल की पार्टी के नेता टिकट देने के बदले में 80 लाख रुपये मांग रहे हैं। एमसीडी में रोहिणी से पार्टी का टिकट देने के एवज में ये पैसे मांगे जा रहे थे। पहला स्टिंग एक रेस्टोरेंट का है जिसमें आप कोर्डिनेटर प्रभारी पुनीत गोयल से बात हो रही है। पुनीत गोयल को दिल्ली सरकार में मंत्री गोपाल राय का करीबी माना जाता है। दूसरा स्टिंग गाड़ी के अंदर बातचीत का है। इस वीडियो में आप के उत्तर-पश्चिम दिल्ली के प्रभारी आर. आर. पठानिया से बात करते हुए दिखाया गया है। पठानिया आप के एससी/एसटी शाखा के प्रभारी और आप की राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी के सदस्य भी हैं।

बिंदु श्रीराम का आरोप है कि पुनीत गोयल ही टिकट की डील करा रहा था। इस कथित स्टिंग वीडियो में यह दिखाया गया है कि बिंदु श्रीराम, पुनीत गोयल से इस बात की पुष्टि कर रही हैं कि इस सौदे में पठानिया लूप में है या नहीं। दूसरे स्टिंग वीडियो के बारे में यह दावा किया जा रहा है कि बिंदु श्रीराम आर. आर. पठानिया से बात कर रही हैं। पठानिया ने इस बात को माना कि पुनीत गोयल उनके बेहद खास हैं। इसके साथ ही स्टिंग में पठानिया, गोपाल राय, सौरभ भारद्वाज, दुर्गेश पाठक, आदिल खान और आतिशी मार्लेना का भी नाम ले रहे हैं।

बीजेपी प्रवक्ता संबित पात्रा ने तंज कसते हुए कहा कि जो आम आदमी पार्टी भ्रष्टाचार खत्म करने की बात करती थी, स्टिंग के लिए हेल्पलाइन जारी करती थी अब उसी के दफ्तर से स्टिंग निकलकर सामने आ रहे हैं। लगता है कि बीजेपी को हेल्पलाइन जारी करनी होगी क्योंकि क्योंकि आम आदमी पार्टी भ्रष्टाचार में डूब चुकी है। बिंदु श्रीराम ने कहा-‘MCD चुनाव में आप के टिकट के बदले में 80 लाख रुपये की डिमांड की गई थी।’ बिंदु श्रीराम ने कहा कि यह एक आदमी का काम नहीं है, बल्कि ठगों का पूरा गैंग मिलकर यह काम कर रहा है।

बिंदु श्रीराम और बीजेपी जो आरोप लगा रही है वह बेहद गंभीर है लेकिन आम आदमी पार्टी इसे लेकर बिल्कुल गंभीर नहीं है। आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और विधायक दिलीप पांडेय ने कहा कि दिल्ली में सबसे ज्यादा आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकट की डिमांड है इसलिए कई तरह के दलाल एक्टिव हो गए हैं। दिलीप पांडेय ने कहा-एमसीडी चुनाव को लेकर बीजेपी के पास कोई मुद्दा नहीं है इसलिए वह रोज नए स्टिंग लेकर आ जाती है, लेकिन इससे चुनाव पर कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा।

इसके बाद गुजरात में चुनाव प्रचार कर रहे अरविंद केजरीवाल भी सामने आए और कहा कि बीजेपी का स्टिंग फ़र्ज़ी है। केजरीवाल ने कहा कि बीजेपी रोज मनोहर कहानियां लेकर आती है लेकिन दिल्ली में बीजेपी ने क्या काम किया, इसका जवाब नहीं देती।

स्टिंग ऑपरेशन देखने के बाद यह तो साफ है कि आम आदमी पार्टी के कुछ नेता MCD का टिकट देने के लिए 80 लाख रुपये मांग रहे हैं। इससे पहले भी दिल्ली में टिकट के बदले कैश का स्टिंग हुआ था। दोनों स्टिंग आम आदमी पार्टी के लोगों ने ही किए हैं। इसलिए शक की गुंजाइश कम है। लेकिन केजरीवाल ने छूटते ही कह दिया कि स्टिंग ऑपरेशन फर्जी है। अब कोई केजरीवाल से पूछे कि उन्हें कैसे पता चला यह फर्जी है? क्या उन्होंने इस स्टिंग ऑपरेशन की जांच करवाई थी? क्या उन्हें सपना आया था ?

केजरीवाल को स्टिंग ऑपरेशन पर सवाल नहीं उठाना चाहिए। क्योंकि उन्होंने ही अपनी पार्टी के लोगों को सिखाया था कि कोई रिश्वत मांगे तो स्टिंग कर लेना। दूसरी बात यह कि केजरीवाल ने कहा कि हम तो स्कूल बनवाते हैं, लोगों के इलाज के लिए मोहल्ला क्लिनिक खुलवाते हैं। इसलिए हम पर आरोप लगाए जाते हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने यह नहीं बताया कि जो शख्स 80 लाख रुपये देकर टिकट खरीदेगा वह चुनाव जीतने के बाद स्कूल बनवाएगा, इलाज करवाएगा या पैसा कमाएगा। वैसे एक बात यह भी है कि दिल्ली हो या गुजरात, सब मानते हैं कि आम आदमी पार्टी जमकर पैसा खर्च कर रही है। प्रचार के लिए धन की कोई कमी नहीं है। अब केजरीवाल को यह बताना चाहिए कि अगर स्टिंग ऑपरेशन फर्जी है और दिल्ली में शराब घोटाला हुआ नहीं तो फिर चुनाव के लिए इतना सारा पैसा कहां से आया?

It seems Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is facing a series of problems in the run-up to the MCD elections.

On Tuesday, Tihar Jail official sources revealed that the man giving a massage to Delhi minister Satyendar Jain is not a physiotherapist, but a prisoner Rinku, facing charges of rape of an adolescent girl under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. He has been in Tihar jail since last one year. Satyendar Jain is facing money laundering charges levelled by Enforcement Directorate. The revelation triggered a war of words between BJP and AAP, with BJP demanding that Jain be removed from Delhi cabinet. AAP leaders described this as a ‘withchunt’.

On Monday, AAP faced a fresh ‘sting’. Bindu Shriram, a former AAP worker, shot two videos in which an AAP leader was shown demanding Rs 80 lakh for giving a party ticket in Rohini for MCD elections. The first sting was done inside a restaurant where she spoke to AAP coordinator in-charge Puneet Goel, said to be close to Delhi minister Gopal Rai. The second sting was done inside a vehicle, in which she was shown speaking to R R Pathania, North-West Delhi AAP in-charge. Pathania is also incharge of AAP SC/ST wing and a member of AAP national executive.

According to Bindu Shriram, it was Puneet Goel who was trying to ‘strike a deal’ on party ticket. In the purported sting video, Bindu is shown taking confirmation from Goel that Pathania has knowledge about the deal. In the second sting video, Bindu is shown speaking to Pathania and the latter admitted that Puneet Goel was his close aide. In the sting, names of AAP minister Gopal Rai, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Durgesh Pathak, Adil Khan and Atishi Marlena were taken.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra took a jibe, saying BJP may have to set up a helpline to ask people to send sting videos because Aam Aadmi Party is “now neck deep in corruption”. Bindu Shriram said, Rs 80 lakh was demanded from her for an AAP ticket in MCD elections. “This is not the work of a single individual, a full-fledged gang of thugs is working.”

The allegation is indeed serious, but AAP is taking these lightly. AAP MLA Dileep Pandey said, since his party’s tickets are now much in demand, several brokers have become active. “BJP has no issue to raise in MCD poll, that is why it is taking recourse to sting videos”, he said.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, campaigning in Gujarat, said, “the sting videos are fake. They come out every day with fake stories but are not replying about the work BJP did during its rule in MCD”.

One thing is however clear. Some leaders of AAP are demanding money for giving party tickets in MCD polls. Earlier too, there was a similar video sting about cash-for-ticket. Since these stings have been carried out by present and former AAP workers, there is little doubt about their veracity. Kejriwal, without going through the details shown in the videos, is claiming that there are all fake. Somebody should ask him, how did he come to know that the videos are fake? Was he dreaming?

Kejriwal should be the last person to raise questions about sting videos. It was he who told the people of Delhi to carry out sting if any officer demanded bribes. Kejriwal has been claiming that his government has built schools and mohalla clinics. But he did not say whether the persons who will collect Rs 80 lakhs will build schools or mohalla clinics or earn more money. It is a known fact that AAP is spending money lavishly in Delhi and Gujarat elections. If the Delhi liquor scam had not happened, Kejriwal should explain from where his party got huge funds for elections.

कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी वीर सावरकर पर ‘आजादी के आंदोलन के दौरान महात्मा गांधी, जवाहरलाल नेहरू और सरदार पटेल को धोखा देने’ का आरोप लगाकर महाराष्ट्र की सियासत में उबाल ला दिया है।

राहुल गांधी ने महाराष्ट्र के वाशिम में अपनी ‘भारत जोड़ो’ यात्रा के दौरान मंगलवार को आदिवासी क्रांतिकारी बिरसा मुंडा की शहादत की तुलना हिंदुत्व विचारक वीर सावरकर से की थी। राहुल ने कहा था कि सावरकर ने क्षमादान के लिए अंग्रेजों को चिट्ठी और दया याचिकाएं लिखी थीं और ‘सबसे आज्ञाकारी सेवक’ बने रहने का वादा किया था। राहुल गांधी ने आरोप लगाया कि सावरकर अंग्रेजों की मदद करते थे और ब्रिटिश सरकार से हर महीने पेंशन लेते थे।

राहुल गांधी ने आरोप लगाया कि ऐसे समय में जब देश के तमाम स्वतंत्रता सेनानी स्वतंत्रता के लिए लड़ रहे थे, तब सावरकर ने अंग्रेजों का पक्ष लेकर और उनसे माफी मांगकर आजादी के दीवानों को धोखा दिया।

राहुल गांधी के इस बयान के तुरंत बाद महाराष्ट्र में FIR दर्ज हो गई और मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे के मंत्रिमंडल ने कांग्रेस नेता की निंदा करते हुए एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया। महाराष्ट्र के कई शहरों में राहुल के पुतले जलाए गए, प्रदर्शन शुरू हो गए।

सावरकर पर अपने बयान को लेकर सफाई देने के लिए राहुल गांधी ने गुरुवार को अकोला में एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस की। इस प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में उन्होंने विनायक दामोदर सावरकर द्वारा ब्रिटिश शासकों को कथित तौर पर लिखी एक चिट्ठी दिखाई जिसमें उन्होंने क्षमादान की मांग की थी। राहुल गांधी ने कहा, ‘सावरकर ने पत्र का अंत में ‘ I beg to remain, Sir, your most obedient servant ‘ लिखा। उन्होंने इस चिट्ठी पर साइन क्यों किया? उन्होंने ऐसा इसलिए किया क्योंकि वह अंग्रेजों से डरते थे।’

राहुल गांधी ने कहा, ‘सावरकर जी द्वारा इस पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बारे में मेरी यही राय है। महात्मा गांधी, नेहरू और सरदार पटेल जी ने कई साल जेल में बिताए लेकिन उन्होंने कभी भी ऐसी किसी चिट्ठी पर साइन नहीं किया।’

इस तरह के बयान पर शिवसेना जैसे सहयोगियों की असहमति पर राहुल गांधी ने कहा, ‘अगर कोई अपनी विचारधारा को आगे रखना चाहता है, तो उन्हें ऐसा करना चाहिए। ..दो विचारधाराएं हैं। हमारी पार्टी में किसी भी चर्चा का स्वागत है। हमारे यहां कोई तानाशाह नहीं है।’

गुरुवार को शिवसेना नेता उद्धव ठाकरे ने कहा, ‘राहुल गांधी ने जो कहा उससे हम सहमत नहीं हैं। हम वीर सावरकर का सम्मान करते हैं, लेकिन इसके साथ ही जब आप हमसे सवाल कर रहे हैं, तो बीजेपी को भी यह बताना चाहिए कि जब वे कश्मीर में सत्ता में थे, तब उन्होंने पीडीपी के साथ गठबंधन क्यों किया। पीडीपी के नेता तो कभी भी ‘भारत माता की जय’ नहीं बोलते। अंग्रेजों से मिली आजादी की रक्षा के लिए हमने कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन किया है।’

उद्धव ठाकरे ने कहा, ‘मेरे मन में सावरकर के लिए बहुत सम्मान है। भारत की आजादी में उनके योगदान को मिटाया नहीं जा सकता। लेकिन जिन लोगों का आजादी के आंदोलन में कोई योगदान नहीं रहा, उन्हें इस तरह के सवाल उठाने का अधिकार नहीं है।’

ऐसा नहीं है कि राहुल गांधी ने पहली बार वीर सावरकर के खिलाफ बोला है। चूंकि गुजरात चुनाव में हिंदुत्व एक बहुत बड़ा फैक्टर है, चुनाव प्रचार जोरों पर है, और सावरकर हिंदुत्व के एक बहुत बड़े प्रतीक हैं, इसलिए राहुल को अपने बयान का बचाव करने के लिए आगे आना पड़ा।

बीजेपी प्रवक्ता संबित पात्रा ने राहुल गांधी को उनकी दादी इंदिरा गांधी की चिट्ठी की याद दिला दी। उन्होंने कहा कि एक चिट्ठी इंदिरा गांधी ने भी लिखी थी जिसमें उन्होंने वीर सावरकर को ‘देश का सपूत’ बताया था, अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ लड़ने वाला योद्धा कहा था। उन्होंने अपने शासन के दौरान सावरकर पर एक डाक टिकट जारी किया था। पात्रा ने पूछा, ‘अब राहुल गांधी बताएं कि कौन सही है: वह या उनकी दादी?’

बीजेपी नेता और महाराष्ट्र के उपमुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस ने कहा, ‘राहुल तो यह भी नहीं जानते कि सावरकर कितने साल अंडमान की खतरनाक सेल्युलर जेल में बंद रहे। मैं जानना चाहता हूं कि वीर सावरकर की तरह 11 साल तक कितने कांग्रेस नेताओं ने कष्ट सहे। जेल में लंबी यातनाओं के बावजूद उन्होंने आजादी के गीत गाए। कांग्रेस के अन्य नेताओं की तरह राहुल भी सावरकर के बारे में रोज झूठ बोलते रहे हैं। महाराष्ट्र की जनता उन्हें सही समय पर करारा जवाब देगी।’

सावरकर के बारे में राहुल के बयान को लेकर बीजेपी का गुस्सा सड़कों पर भी नजर आया। नवी मुंबई से लेकर नागपुर तक बीजेपी कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्रदर्शन किया, राहुल गांधी के पुतले जलाए। शिवसेना (शिंदे गुट) के सांसद राहुल शेवाले ने महाराष्ट्र में राहुल की ‘भारत जोड़ो यात्रा’ पर रोक लगाने की मांग की।

शिवसेना नेता संजय राउत ने कहा, ‘अगर बीजेपी के मन में वीर सावरकर से इतना ही प्रेम है तो उन्हें भारत रत्न क्यों नहीं देती। आप सावरकर से प्रेम करने का ढोंग क्यों करते हैं? शिवसेना आज से नहीं, बल्कि पिछले 15 सालों से उनके लिए भारत रत्न मांग रही है। सिर्फ एक ही हिंदू हृदय सम्राट हैं, बालासाहेब ठाकरे, हमें ये रोज कहने की जरूरत नहीं है।’

मुंबई में वीर सावरकर के पोते रंजीत सावरकर ने शिवाजी पार्क थाने में राहुल गांधी के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराई है। रंजीत सावरकर ने कहा, ‘राहुल गांधी झूठ बोल रहे हैं। अंग्रेजों ने भी यही कहा था कि सावरकर ने जो अप्लीकेशन लिखी थी, वह सभी पॉलिटिकल कैदियों को छोड़ने के लिए थी। वह अप्लीकेशन सार्वजनिक माफी के लिए थी।’

राहुल गांधी वीर सावरकर की जिस चिट्ठी की आखिरी लाइन ‘I beg to remain, Sir, your most obedient servant’ को पढ़कर उन्हें अंग्रेजों का पिट्ठू बता रहे हैं, महात्मा गांधी भी अंग्रेजों को लिखी चिट्ठियां के आखिर में ऐसी ही लाइन लिखते थे। यह ब्रिटिश राज के दौरान अप्लीकेशन लिखने का एक फॉर्मैट था, प्रोफॉर्मा था।

दूसरी बात ये कि 20 मई 1980 को इंदिरा गांधी ने मुंबई के वीर सारवरकर प्रतिष्ठान को सावरकर का जन्म शताब्दी वर्ष मनाने के लिए बधाई दी थी। इंदिरा गांधी ने इस चिट्ठी वीर सावरकर को भारतमाता का वीर सपूत बताया था। इंदिरा गांधी ने इस चिट्टी में लिखा था, ‘अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ सावरकर का ऐतिहासिक विरोध आजादी की लड़ाई में उन्हें विशेष स्थान देता है। भारत के इस महान सपूत की जन्मशती मनाने के लिए आपको शुभकामनाएं।’

काश, वीर सावरकर के बारे में ऐसी बातें कहने से पहले राहुल गांधी ने अपनी दादी की चिट्ठी पढ़ ली होती। अगर राहुल यह चिट्ठी पढ़ लेते तो शायद वह भारत के सबसे महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों में से एक सावरकर के बारे में ऐसी बातें नहीं कहते।

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has stirred a hornet’s nest in Maharashtra politics by blaming freedom fighter Veer Savarkar for ‘betraying Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel during the freedom movement’.

in course of his ‘Bharat Jodo’ Yatra in Washim, Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday had compared the martyrdom of tribal revolutionary Birsa Munda with Hindutva ideologue Veer Savarkar. Rahul alleged that Savarkar wrote letters and mercy petitions to British rulers seeking clemency and promised to remain a “most obedient servant”. Rahul Gandhi alleged that Savarkar used to help the British and take monthly pension from the British government.

Rahul Gandhi alleged that at a time when top freedom fighters were fighting for independence, Savarkar betrayed the leaders by siding with the British and seeking mercy.

Soon after Rahul Gandhi made this remark, FIRs were filed in Maharashtra, and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s cabinet adopted a resolution condemning Rahul Gandhi. Effigies of Rahul were burnt in several cities of Maharashtra.

To clarify his remarks on Savarkar, Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference in Akola on Thursday. He showed a letter purported to have been written by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar addressed to British rulers in which he had sought clemency. “Savarkar ended the letter with ‘I beg to remain, Sir, your most obedient servant’. Why did he sign this letter? It was because he feared the British”, Rahul Gandhi said.

“This is my opinion about Savarkar ji signing this letter. Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru and Sardar Patel ji spent several years in jail but they never signed such a letter”, Rahul Gandhi said.

On disagreement with allies like Shiv Sena over such a remark, Rahul Gandhi said: “If someone wants to put their ideology forward, they should. ..There are two ideologies. Our party is open to discussion. We have no dictators.”

On Thursday, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said, “we do not agree with what Rahul Gandhi has said. We respect Veer Savarkar, but, at the same time, when you are questioning us, the BJP must also explain why they allied with PDP in Kashmir when they were in power there. PDP leaders will never say, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. ..We have allied with the Congress to protect the freedom that we got from the British.”

Uddhav Thackeray said, “I have tremendous respect for Savarkar in my heart. His contribution to India’s freedom cannot be written off. But people who had no contribution in freedom movement, do not have the right to raise such questions.”

This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has spoken against Veer Savarkar. Since election campaign is in full swing in Gujarat with Hindutva emerging as a big factor, and Savarkar being a venerable icon of Hindutva, Rahul had to come forward to defend his remarks.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra reminded Rahul of how his grandmother Indira Gandhi had in a letter described Veer Savarkar as ‘a remarkable son of India’ who fought against the British. She had issued a postage stamp depicting Savarkar during her rule. “Rahul Gandhi must now say who is right: he or his grand mother?”, asked Patra.

BJP leader and Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said, “Rahul does not even know how many years Savarkar was locked up inside the dreaded Cellular Jail in Andaman islands… I want to know how many Congress leaders went through suffering like Veer Savarkar for 11 years. Despite prolonged torture in jail, he sang the song of freedom. Rahul, like other Congress leaders, has been lying daily about Savarkar. The people of Maharashtra will give a befitting reply to them at the right time.”

Protests were held by BJP workers from Navi Mumbai to Nagpur against Rahul’s remarks against Savarkar and his effigies were burnt. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MP Rahul Shewale demanded a ban on Rahul’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said, “if BJP had so much respect for Savarkar, why doesn’t the Centre give Bharat Ratna to Savarkar posthumously? Why are you showing fake respect for Savarkar? Shiv Sena had been demanding Bharat Ratna for him for the last 15 years…..There is only one Hindu Hriday Samrat for us. He is Balasaheb Thackeray. ”

In Mumbai, late Veer Savarkar’s grandson Ranjit Savarkar filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi at Shivaji Park police station. Ranjit Savarkar said, “Rahul Gandhi is lying. Even the British admitted that the application written by Savarkar was normally written by all political prisoners seeking release. Such an application was meant only for public apology”.

I want to point out here that the closing lines ‘I beg to remain, Sir, your most obedient servant’ written by Savarkar in his mercy petition to the British, were almost the same written by Mahatma Gandhi in his letters to the British rulers. This was actually a letter writing format during the British Raj.

Secondly, Indira Gandhi, as Prime Minister on May 20, 1980, had sent a letter to Pandit Bakhle, secretary of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak in Mumbai on the occasion of Savarkar birth centenary. In this letter, Indira Gandhi wrote: “Veer Savarkar’s daring defiance of the British government has its own importance in the annals of our freedom movement. I wish success to the plans to celebrate the birth centenary of the remarkable son of India”.

I wish Rahul Gandhi had read his grandmother’s letter before going public about his opinion about Veer Savarkar. Had he read this letter, he would not have made such remarks about one of the greatest freedom fighters of India.

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के नेतृत्व वाली आम आदमी पार्टी को अब नई समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। गुजरात विधानसभा चुनाव में पार्टी ने जिस कंचन जरीवाला को टिकट दिया था उसने अपना नाम वापस ले लिया है। आम आदमी पार्टी ने आरोप लगाया था कि उसके उम्मीदवार का अपहरण कर लिया गया है। वहीं दिल्ली में ‘कैश फॉर टिकट’ मामले में एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो ने आप विधायक के एक रिश्तेदार समेत तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है।

एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो (एसीबी) के अधिकारियों ने कहा, आप कार्यकर्ता शोभा खारी के पति गोपाल खारी ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी कि आप विधायक अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी ने उनकी पत्नी को एमसीडी चुनाव में टिकट दिलाने के बदले 90 लाख रुपये की मांग की थी।

एसीबी अधिकारियों ने कहा, ‘शिकायतकर्ता गोपाल खारी ने आरोप लगाया था कि उसने अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी को 35 लाख रुपये और वजीरपुर से आप विधायक राजेश गुप्ता को 20 लाख रुपये रिश्वत के तौर पर दिए थे। इस शिकायत के आधार पर एसीबी की टीम ने कार्रवाई की और ओम सिंह, जिसे अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी का रिश्तेदार बताया जा रहा है, उनके पीए शिव शंकर पांडेय उर्फ विशाल पांडे और एक तीसरा व्यक्ति प्रिंस रघुवंशी को गिरफ्तार कर 22 लाख रुपये नकद बरामद किया।’

कैश फॉर टिकट का वीडियो सामने आते ही अरविंद केजरीवाल के कट्टर ईमानदारी के दावे पर सवालिया निशान लग गया है। इस वीडियो में साफ तौर पर दिख रहा है कि एमसीडी चुनावों में आप का टिकट पाने के लिए पैसों का लेन-देन किया जा रहा है। यह वीडियो ऐसा सबूत है कि इस बारे में आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता ये नहीं कह पाए कि उनके लोगों ने टिकट के लिए पैसे का लेन-देन नहीं किया। उन्हें यह नहीं सूझ रहा कि इस पर कैसे प्रतिक्रिया दें।

सबसे पहले ‘कैश फॉर टिकट’ घोटाले के बारे में आपको बताता हूं। इल्ज़ाम है कि आम आदमी पार्टी के दो विधायकों अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी और राजेश गुप्ता ने एमसीडी चुनाव में टिकट दिलाने के लिए 90 लाख रुपए मांगे। इनमें से 55 लाख रुपए एडवांस के तौर पर ले लिए गए। बाकी रकम काम होने के बाद लेने की बात कही। एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो के अधिकारियों का दावा है कि शिवशंकर पांडेय, अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी का प्रतिनिधि है और उसे विधानसभा का पास भी जारी किया गया था।

असल में यह मामला आम आदमी पार्टी के एक पुराने कार्यकर्ता गोपाल खारी की शिकायत पर सामने आया। गोपाल खारी ने एसीबी से शिकायत की थी कि वह अपनी पत्नी शोभा खारी को एमसीडी का चुनाव लड़ाना चाहता था। उसने आम आदमी पार्टी का टिकट दिलाने के लिए आवेदन दिया। इसके बाद 9 नवंबर को वह मॉडल टाउन विधानसभा सीट से आम आदमी पार्टी विधायक अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी से मिला। गोपाल खारी का आरोप है कि उसकी पत्नी को टिकट दिलाने के एवज़ में अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी और राजेश गुप्ता ने 90 लाख रुपए मांगे थे। गोपाल खारी ने एसीबी को बताया कि उन्होंने 35 लाख रुपए अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी को और 20 लाख रुपए वज़ीरपुर सीट से आम आदमी पार्टी के विधायक राजेश गुप्ता को दिए। गोपाल खारी का दावा है कि विधायकों की तरफ़ से यह रकम उनके प्रतिनिधि ओम सिंह और पीए शिवशंकर पांडेय ने ली।

अब सवाल ये है कि इस पूरे मामले का खुलासा कैसे हुआ ? असल में हुआ यह कि पैसे देने के बाद भी जब गोपाल खारी को यह लगा कि उसकी पत्नी को टिकट नहीं मिलने वाला है तो उसने पैसा वापस करने के लिए अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी पर दबाव बनाना शुरू किया। अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी ने 35 लाख में से 33 लाख रुपए ओम सिंह और प्रिंस रघुवंशी के जरिए गोपाल खारी को भेजे। जब अखिलेश पति त्रिपाठी का आदमी गोपाल खारी को पैसे लौटाने पहुंचा तो गोपाल खारी ने इसका वीडियो बना लिया।

इस वीडियो में गोपाल खारी, ओम सिंह से फोन पर बात करते हुए दिखाई दे रहा है और यह कह रहा है कि जो पैसे लौटाए गए हैं, उनमें दो लाख कम हैं। उसने कहा, ‘दो हज़ार के नोटों की एक गड्डी कम है।’ ओम सिंह ने कहा कि वो इसका पता लगाएगा। गोपाल खारी ने ओम सिंह से बात करने के दौरान ही पैसे लेकर आने वाले प्रिंस रघुवंशी से दोबारा पैसे गिनवाए और ओम सिंह को फिर से बताया कि दो लाख कम हैं। एक अन्य वीडियो में ओम सिंह, गोपाल खारी की पत्नी को टिकट न मिलने पर सफाई दे रहा है। ओम सिंह ने गोपाल खारी से कहा कि एक सीट पर दो गुर्जरों को नहीं उतारा जा सकता था, शायद इस वजह से टिकट नहीं मिला। गोपाल खारी ने ये वीडियो सबूत के तौर पर एसीबी को सौंप दिए। इन सबूतों के आधार पर एसीबी ने तीन लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर 22 लाख रुपए बरामद किए।

बीजेपी नेता कपिल मिश्रा ने आरोप लगाया कि यह पैसा केजरीवाल और उनके सहयोगी दुर्गेश पाठक के लिए था। कपिल मिश्रा ने कहा-‘आप नेता एमसीडी चुनावों के लिए टिकट बेच रहे थे। केजरीवाल सरकार निगम में भ्रष्टाचार का केजरीवाल मॉडल लाना चाहती है।’

दक्षिण दिल्ली से बीजेपी सांसद रमेश विधूड़ी ने आरोप लगाया कि टिकट के बदले 90 लाख की मांग करने वाले सिर्फ दो विधायक नहीं हैं। उन्होंने कहा-‘इस मामले में केजरीवाल की पार्टी के तीन और विधायकों का नाम सामने आ रहा है। उन्होंने केजरीवाल को चुनौती दी कि वे दोनों विधायक अखिलेशपति त्रिपाठी और राजेश गुप्ता को पार्टी से निकालें।

जब मामला बढ़ा और बयानबाज़ी होने लगी तो मनीष सिसोदिया ने सफाई दी। सिसोदिया ने कहा-‘पैसा किसने दिया और किसने लिया, ये बड़ी बात नहीं है। बड़ी बात यह है कि पैसा देने के बाद भी आम आदमी पार्टी का टिकट नहीं मिला। यह खबर आम आदमी पार्टी के लिए अच्छी ख़बर है। यह इस बात का सबूत है कि आम आदमी पार्टी में टिकट बिकते नहीं हैं। पैसा देने के बाद भी टिकट नहीं मिलता।’ ओम सिंह और शिव शंकर पांडे को दो दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है, जबकि प्रिंस रघुवंशी को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया गया है। कांग्रेस नेता अलका लांबा ने केजरीवाल को लताड़ा और पूछा, ‘अब उनका लोकपाल और उनकी ईमानदारी कहां है? केजरीवाल चुप क्यों हैं?’

उधर, शिकायतकर्ता गोपाल खारी को अब अपनी जान का डर सता रहा है। खारी ने कहा कि उसे जान से मारने की धमकियां मिल रही हैं।

मैं अरविंद केजरीवाल को याद दिलाना चाहता हूं कि 2013 में जब उन्होंने दिल्ली के सीएम का पदभार संभाला था तो कैसे उन्होंने लोगों से अपील की थी कि अगर कोई रिश्वत मांगे तो दे देना और उसका वीडियो बना लेना। गोपाल खारी ने केजरीवाल का ये फॉर्मूला याद रखा और वैसा ही किया। जब केजरीवाल चुनाव लड़ रहे थे तो कहते थे कि अगर किसी पार्टी के नेता वोट के बदले नोट दें तो चुपचाप ले लेना, लेकिन वोट मत देना। इसे उनकी पार्टी के विधायकों ने घोल कर पी लिया। टिकट के बदले गोपाल खारी से पैसे ले लिए लेकिन टिकट नहीं दिया।

सिसोदिया खुलेआम कह रहे हैं कि आम आदमी पार्टी में पैसा देने के बाद भी टिकट नहीं मिलता। लेकिन इस मामले में केजरीवाल औऱ सिसोदिया को एक बात समझ लेनी चाहिए। टिकट के लिए पैसे लेने वाला, पैसा देने वाला, नोट गिनने वाला, वीडियो बनाने वाला,पुलिस में शिकायत करने वाला सब आम आदमी पार्टी के लोग हैं। लाख चाह कर भी केजरीवाल इसके लिए बीजेपी को जिम्मेदार नहीं ठहरा सकते। क्योंकि सबकुछ वीडियो में रिकॉर्ड है। इसीलिए अपने आप को कट्टर ईमानदार कहने वाले वीडियो देखकर चकरा गए।

केजरीवाल के लिए चिंता का एक और विषय दिल्ली से लगभग 1,100 किमी दूर सूरत में था। केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसोदिया ने आरोप लगाया कि सूरत में बीजेपी ने उनके एक उम्मीदवार का अपहरण कर लिया है, वो लापता है। लेकिन बुधवार शाम तक आप उम्मीदवार कंचन जरीवाला ने कैमरे पर आकर कहा कि उसे किसी ने किडनैप नहीं किया। उन्होंने अपने समर्थकों के दबाव में चुनाव मैदान छोड़ने का फैसला लिया है। जरीवाला ने अपहरण के आरोपों को खारिज कर दिया।

दरअसल, सूरत में यह चर्चा जोरों पर थी कि केजरीवाल की पार्टी का उम्मीदवार मैदान छोड़ सकता है। खबर उड़ी तो आम आदमी पार्टी के तमाम नेता एक्टिव हो गए लेकिन कंचन जरीवाला अंडरग्राउंड हो गए। वे आम आदमी पार्टी के नेताओं के संपर्क में नहीं थे। जरीवाला रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर के दफ्तर गए, अपना नामांकन वापस ले लिया और पांच मिनट के भीतर मीडिया के सामने आ गए। केजरीवाल ने ट्वीट किया ‘ गुंडों और पुलिस के दम पर उम्मीदवारों को अगवा करके उनका नामांकन वापिस करवाया जा रहा है। इस किस्म की सरेआम गुंडागर्दी भारत में कभी नहीं देखी गयी। फिर चुनाल का क्या मतलब रह गया ? फिर तो जनतंत्र खत्म है। ‘

आम आदमी पार्टी के के गुजरात प्रभारी राघव चड्ढा ने ट्वीट किया, ‘देखिए कैसे पुलिस और भाजपा के गुंडे एक साथ हमारे सूरत पूर्व के उम्मीदवार कंचन जरीवाला को रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर के दफ्तर में घसीट कर ले गए, और उन्हें अपना नामांकन वापस लेने के लिए मजबूर किया । ‘स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष चुनाव’ शब्द एक मजाक बन कर रह गया है!’

दिल्ली में मनीष सिसोदिया पार्टी कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ चुनाव आयोग मुख्यालय के बाहर धरने पर बैठ गए। बाद में आप के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने चुनाव आयोग के अधिकारियों से मुलाकात की और एक ज्ञापन सौंपा। चुनाव आयोग ने आप के ज्ञापन को गुजरात के मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी को भेज दिया।

आम आदमी पार्टी की गुजरात ईकाई के अध्यक्ष गोपाल इटालिया ने आरोप लगाया कि कंचन जरीवाला मंगलवार से लापता हैं, जब नामांकन की जांच चल रही थी। इटालिया ने कहा, ‘वह बीजेपी के लोगों से घिरे हुए रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर के दफ्तर में आए। जरीवाला को धमकाया गया और पीटा गया। उन्होंने अपनी मर्जी से नामांकन वापस नहीं लिया।’

जरीवाला की रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर से मुलाकात के वीडियो से स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि वह किसी दबाव में थे या नहीं। वीडियो में रिटर्निंग ऑफीसर ने कंचन जरीवाला से साफ-साफ और बार-बार पूछा कि किसी का दबाव तो नहीं है, किसी का खौफ तो नहीं है, किसी ने कोई लालच तो नहीं दिया है? इस पर जरीवाला ने कहा-‘मैं अपनी मर्जी से और बिना किसी दबाव के अपना नामांकन वापस ले रहा हूं। मुझे कुछ नहीं कहना है।’

इंडिया टीवी रिपोर्टर ने कंचन जरीवाला से बात की। उन्होंने कहा, ‘मुझे न तो किसी ने डराया और न ही धमकी दी, न ही मेरा अपहरण किया गया। समर्थकों के दबाव के कारण मैं अपने रिश्तेदार के घर पर था। आम आदमी पार्टी के टिकट पर चुनाव लड़ने से समर्थक नाराज़ थे। इसलिए उन्होंने परिवार और समर्थकों से बात करने के बाद पर्चा वापस ले लिया।’

सूरत पहुंचे आप नेता राघव चड्ढा ने कहा, ‘जरीवाला चाहे जो भी दावा करें, वह काफी दबाव में थे। तीन दिन पहले तक वह जमकर प्रचार कर रहे थे, पिछले 24 घंटे में ऐसा क्या हो गया कि वह ऐसी बातें कहने लगे और अपना नामांकन वापस ले लिया। गुंडागर्दी हो रही है, गुजरात में ‘जंगल राज’ है और पुलिस चुपचाप सबकुछ देख रही है।’

अब कट्टर ईमानदार नेता बताएं कि किसने अपहरण किया, किसने जरीवाला से पर्चा वापस करवाया और किसने गुंडागर्दी की। आरोप लगाने वाले भी आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता और जवाब देने वाले भी आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता। अब जनता किस पर यकीन करे?

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is facing fresh problems with one of his candidates in Gujarat, Kanchan Jariwala, withdrawing from election fray amidst allegations of abduction, while in Delhi, three persons, including a brother-in-law of an AAP MLA, have been arrested in a ‘cash for ticket’ double-cross drama.

Anti Corruption Bureau officials said, Gopal Khari, husband of AAP worker Shobha Khari had lodged a complaint that AAP MLA Akhileshpati Tripathi had demanded Rs 90 lakh for giving an MCD election ticket to his wife.

ACB officials said, “the complainant Gopal Khari had claimed that he paid Rs 35 lakh to Akhileshpati Tripathi and Rs 20 lakh to Wazirpur AAP MLA Rajesh Gupta as bribe. A trap was laid and three persons, Om Singh, said to be Tripathi’s brother-in-law, and his associates Shiv Shankar Pandey alias Vishal Pandey and Prince Raghuvanshi, were arrested and Rs 22 lakh cash was recovered.”

The ‘utmost honesty’ (kattar imaandar) claim of Kejriwal seems to have taken a beating with the surfacing of the video in which it is clearly shown that cash was being exchanged for getting an AAP ticket in the MCD elections. After watching the video, AAP leaders were at a loss how to react to it.

First, some details about the ‘cash for ticket’ scam. Two AAP MLAs Akhileshpati Tripathi and Rajesh Gupta reportedly demanded Rs 90 lakh for giving a party ticket in MCD polls. They reportedly took Rs 55 lakh as advance and the rest was to be given after the ticket was issued. ACB officials said, Shiv Shankar Pandey was the front man for MLA Tripathi, and he had been issued a Legislative Assembly entry pass.

On November 9, Gopal Khari, an old AAP worker met Model Town MLA Tripathi, and, according to him, Tripathi and Wazirpur MLA Rajesh Gupta demanded Rs 90 lakh from him at the meeting. Gopal Khari told ACB that he had given Rs 35 lakh cash to Tripathi, and Rs 20 lakh to Rajesh Gupta. These amounts were collected by the MLAs’ men Om Singh and the MLA’s PA Shiv Shankar Pandey, Khari claimed.

How did the can of worms spill out? It so happened that Gopal Khari found that his wife was not going to get the ticket and he started putting pressure on Tripathi. The MLA then returned Rs 33 lakh out of the Rs 35 lakh paid money, to Khari through Om Singh and Prince Raghuvanshi. When Tripathi’s men came to return the money, Khari made a video of the same.

In the video, Khari is shown speaking to Om Singh on phone and telling him that there were Rs 2 lakh missing in the money. “There is one bundle of Rs 2000 currency notes missing”, he told him. Om Singh promised to check. Khari again asked Prince to count the currency bundles, and told Singh that Rs 2 lakh was missing. In another video, Om Singh was shown telling Gopal Khari that since two Gurjar candidates cannot be fielded from one seat, his wife failed to get the ticket. Khari handed over these videos to ACB, following which the three persons were arrested and Rs 22 lakh cash was seized.

BJP leader Kapil Mishra alleged that the cash was meant for Kejriwal and his AAP associate Durgesh Pathak. “AAP leaders were selling tickets for MCD polls. They want to introduce Kejriwal model of corruption in MCD.”

South Delhi BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri alleged that Rs 90 lakh was not meant for both the AAP MLAs. “There were three other MLAs”, he added. He challenged Kejriwal to expel both the MLAs Akhileshpati Tripathi and Rajesh Gupta.

It was left to Deputy CM Manish Sisodia to field questions. He said, “it does not matter who gave money to whom. The fact of the matter is that AAP ticket was not given. This is a silver lining for us. AAP ticket is not given even after bribe is given.” Om Singh and Shiv Shankar Pandey have been sent to two days’ police custody, while Prince Raghuvanshi has been sent to judicial custody. Congress leader Alka Lamba lambasted Kejriwal and asked: “Where is his Lokpal and his honesty now? Why is Kejriwal silent?”

Complainant Gopal Khari now says he is fearing for his life. Khari said, he was getting threats.

I want to remind Arvind Kejriwal how he had advised common people to make videos of corruption and bribery, when he took over as chief minister of Delhi in 2013. Gopal Khari did the same. I would also like to remind what Kejriwal said when he was contesting elections. He told voters to take bribe from candidates before polling, but should not cast vote in his favour. It seems, his MLAs have taken this advice to heart. They took bribe, but did not give the party ticket.

Sisodia is openly saying that people do not get AAP ticket even after paying bribes. But both Kejriwal and Sisodia should realize one fact. In this case, the bribe giver, the bribe taker, the person counting cash and the man making the video and reporting to police – all of them belong to Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal cannot blamed the BJP at least in this case, because everything has been recorded on video. Those claiming to be ‘kattar’ (utmostly) honest are now fumbling for answers after watching the videos.

Another matter of concern for Kejriwal was in Surat, nearly 1,100 km away from Delhi. Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia alleged that one of their candidates was kidnapped by BJP in Surat, and was missing. But by Wednesday evening, the AAP candidate Kanchan Jariwala came before cameras to say that he has decided to quit the electoral fray due to pressure from his supporters. Jariwala rubbished allegations of abduction.

The fact is, Jariwala himself went underground as he had decided not to contest after filing his nomination from Surat (East). Jariwala went to the office of Returning Officer, withdrew his nomination, and left within five minutes, in full view of media. Kejriwal tweeted that ” our candidates are being forced by goons and police to withdraw their nominations. This type of open hooliganism has never been witnessed before in India. Then what is the use of elections? Democracy is in peril.”

AAP Gujarat in-charge Raghav Chadha tweeted: “Watch how police and BJP goons together – dragged our Surat East candidate Kanchan Jariwala to the RO office, forcing him to withdraw his nomination. The term ‘free and fair election’ has become a joke!”

In Delhi, Manish Sisodia along with AAP workers sat on a dharna outside the Election Commission headquarters. Later, an AAP delegation met the Election Commission officials and handed over a memorandum, which was forwarded to Gujarat chief electoral officer.

Gujarat AAP chief Gopal Italia alleged that Kanchan Jariwala had been missing since Tuesday, when the nominations were undergoing scrutiny. “He came to the Returning Officer’s office, surrounded by BJP men. Jariwala was threatened and beaten up. He did not withdraw the nomination of his own will”, Italia said.

This allegation is nailed by a video of Jariwala meeting the RO. In the video, the Returning Officer clearly asked Jariwala several times, whether he is under any pressure, or fear, or inducements, and Jariwala replied: “I am withdrawing my nomination of my own will and without any pressure. I have nothing to say more. Later, India TV reporter spoke to Kanchan Jariwala. He said: “Nobody threatened me, nor was I kidnapped. We were at our relative’s house due to pressure from my supporters. My supporters were unhappy that I was contesting on AAP ticket. That’s why I withdrew my nomination after consulting my family and supporters.”

AAP leader Raghav Chadha, who rushed to Surat, said, “whatever Jariwala may claim, he was under severe pressure. Till three days ago, he was campaigning hard, what happened in the last 24 hours that he has started saying all this, and withdrew his nomination. Hooliganism is taking place, there is ‘jungle raj’ in Gujarat and police is watching silently.”

It is up to the ‘kattar’ (utmostly) honest leader to reply who kidnapped whom, who pressurized Jariwala to withdraw, and who indulged in hooliganism. Those making allegations are from AAP, and the person who is replying, is also from AAP. Whom should the common voter trust?

इंडोनेशिया के बाली में बुधवार को G-20 शिखर सम्मेलन के समापन समारोह में भारत को दुनिया के इस ताकतवर समूह की अध्यक्षता सौंपी गई। इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति जोको विडोडो ने वहां मौजूद तमाम राजनेताओं की मौजूदगी में भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को G-20 ग्रुप की अध्यक्षता सौंपी।

G-20 समूह में दुनिया की प्रमुख और उभरती अर्थव्यवस्थाएं शामिल हैं और यह दुनिया के कुल घरेलू सकल उत्पाद (जीडीपी) का लगभग 85 प्रतिशत, विश्व व्यापार का करीब 75 प्रतिशत और दुनिया की आबादी का लगभग दो-तिहाई हिस्सा है।

G-20 में भारत के अलावा अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन, यूरोपीय संघ, चीन, रूस, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, कनाडा, ब्राजील, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, अर्जेंटीना, इंडोनेशिया, इटली, जापान, दक्षिण कोरिया, मैक्सिको, सऊदी अरब, तुर्की और दक्षिण अफ्रीका शामिल हैं।

G-20 की अध्यक्षता संभालने के बाद प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिखर सम्मेलन में कहा, ‘ भारत ऐसे समय में G-20 का कार्यभार संभाल रहा है जब दुनिया एक साथ भू-राजनीतिक तनावों, आर्थिक मंदी, बढ़ती खाद्य एवं ऊर्जा कीमतों के साथ ही महामारी के दीर्घकालिक दुष्प्रभावों से जूझ रही है। ऐसे समय में दुनिया G-20 ग्रुप को बड़ी उम्मीद के साथ देख रही है। आज मैं यह आश्वासन देना चाहता हूं कि भारत की G-20 की अध्यक्षता समावेशी, महत्वकांक्षी, निर्णायक और कार्योन्मुखी होगी।’

भारत को ‘लोकतंत्र की जननी’ बताते हुए मोदी ने कहा, ‘G-20 के लिए भारत की अध्यक्षता प्रत्येक भारतीय के लिए गौरव का अवसर है। हम देश के अलग-अलग शहरों तथा राज्यों में G-20 की बैठकें आयोजित करेगे। हमारे मेहमानों को भारत की अद्भुत विविधता, समावेशी परंपराओं और सांस्कृतिक समृद्धि का पूरा अनुभव मिलेगा….हम साथ मिलकर G-20 को वैश्विक बदलाव का उत्प्रेरक बनाएंगे।’

समापन समारोह से पहले बुधवार सुबह पीएम मोदी ने G-20 के अन्य नेताओं के साथ बाली के प्रसिद्ध मैंग्रोव वन का निरीक्षण किया। विश्व पर्यावरण में संतुलन बनाये रखने में मैंग्रोव वनों का योगदान सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है। भारत में मैंग्रोव की 55 से ज्यादा प्रजातियां हैं जो 5 हजार वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैली हुई हैं। दुनिया भर में ये मैंग्रोव वन अपनी समृद्ध जैव विविधता के सिये प्रसिद्ध हैं, और ये जलवायु परिवर्तन परअंकुश रखने में अहम भूमिका निभाते हैं। ये मैन्ग्रोव वन कार्बन सिंक ( यानि बड़ी मात्रा में कार्बन डायऑक्साइड को सोखने ) का काम करते हैं।

बाली में दो दिन तक चले G-20 शिखर सम्मेलन पर यूक्रेन युद्ध के बादल मंडराते रहे। जब सम्मेलन चल रहा था तभी ये खबर आई कि पूर्वी पोलैंड में एक मिसाइल हमला हुआ है जिसमें दो लोगों की जान चली गई है। हालांकि रूस ने इस बात से इनकार किया कि उसने पोलैंड पर मिसाइल अटैक किया है। उधर, अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन ने बदले हुए हालात पर चर्चा के लिए G-7 और नाटों देशों के तत्काल मीटिंग बुलाई। बाद में पोलैंड ने माना कि ये गलती से हुआ हमला था।

बाली शिखर सम्मेलन के पहले दिन पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने यूक्रेन के मुद्दे को उठाया। उन्होंने कहा, ‘ मैंने बार-बार यह कहा है कि हमें यूक्रेन में युद्ध-विराम और कूटनीति के रास्ते पर लौटने का तरीका तलाशना होगा। पिछली शताब्दी में दूसरे विश्व युद्ध ने पूरी दुनिया में कहर बरपाया था। बाद में उस दौर के नेताओं ने गंभीरता से शांति की राह पर चलने का प्रयास किया। अब हमारी बारी है।’

मोदी ने कहा कि कोविड-19 वैश्विक महामारी के बाद एक नयी विश्व व्यवस्था बनाने की जिम्मेदारी हमारे कंधों पर है। दुनिया में शांति, सद्भाव और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए ठोस और सामूहिक संकल्प समय की मांग है। मुझे विश्वास है कि जब बुद्ध और गांधी की धरती पर G-20 की मीटिंग होगी तब हम सभी एक साथ दुनिया को शांति का ठोस संदेश देंगे।

मोदी ने कहा, ‘जलवायु परिवर्तन, कोविड महामारी, यूक्रेन के हालात और उससे पैदा हुई वैश्विक चुनौतियों ने दुनिया में तबाही मचा दी है और वैश्विक आपूर्ति श्रृंखला चरमरा गई है। पूरी दुनिया में आवश्यक वस्तुओं का संकट है और हर देश के गरीब नागरिकों के लिए चुनौतियां ज्यादा बढ़ गई हैं।’

दूसरे शब्दों में कहें तो इस शिखर सम्मेलन में मौजूद पश्चिमी देशों के साथ चीन और रूस के नेताओं को पीएम मोदी साफ तौर पर यह कह रहे थे कि इस युद्ध से किसी का भला नहीं होनेवाला है। अगर हम सभी को मानवता की मदद करने और धरती को स्वर्ग बनाने की जरूरत है तो शांति और भाईचारा जरूरी है। मोदी ने इन नेताओं से यह भी कहा कि यूक्रेन युद्ध जल्द खत्म होना चाहिए और सभी प्रमुख शक्तियों को कोई रास्ता निकालना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा, भारत इस युद्ध को समाप्त करने में मुख्य भूमिका निभाने के लिए तैयार है।

नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिखर सम्मेलन में कहा कि वह भारत था जिसने कोविड जैसी वैश्विक महामारी के दौरान अपने 1.3 अरब नागरिकों की खाद्य सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की। साथ ही उन्होंने कहा, ‘भारत ने कई जरूरतमंद देशों को भी खाद्यान्न की आपूर्ति की। खाद्य सुरक्षा के मामले में उर्वरकों की मौजूदा कमी एक बहुत बड़ा संकट पैदा कर सकती है। आज की उर्वरक कमी कल के खाद्य संकट का कारण बन सकती है। हम सभी को उवर्रक और खाद्यान्न दोनों की आपूर्ति श्रृंखला को स्थिर और सुनिश्चित बनाए रखने पर सहमत होना चाहिए।’

मोदी ने G-20 नेताओं से यह भी बताया कि कैसे भारत ने उन देशों को कोराना वैक्सीन की आपूर्ति की जिन्हें उसकी सख्त जरूरत थी। उन्होंने कहा कि आज जब दुनिया की अर्थव्यवस्था संकट का सामना कर रही है, भारत बड़ी शक्तियों के लिए एक उज्जवल उदाहरण के तौर पर उभरा है।

मोदी ने अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन, चीनी राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग, फ्रांस के राष्ट्रपति इमैनुएल मैक्रॉन, जर्मन चांसलर ओलाफ शोल्ज़, ब्रिटिश प्रधान मंत्री ऋषि सुनक, जापानी पीएम फुमियो किशिदा, कनाडा के पीएम जस्टिन ट्रूडो और इंडोनेशियाई राष्ट्रपति जोको विडोडो के साथ द्विपक्षीय वार्ता की।

शिखर सम्मेलन के पहले दिन रात्रिभोज के समय पीएम मोदी अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री एंथनी ब्लिंकेन से बात कर रहे थे, तभी तीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग वहां पहुंचे। मोदी ने शी जिनपिंग का अभिवादन किया और उनसे हाथ मिलाया। लद्दाख की गलवान घाटी में दोनों देशों की सेनाओं के बीच संघर्ष के बाद मोदी और शी पहली बार आमने-सामने थे । दोनों नेताओं ने कुछ देर तक एक-दूसरे से बातचीत की। इससे पहले मोदी और शी जिनपिंग ने
इसी साल समरकंद में आयोजित शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (एसएसीओ) शिखर सम्मेलन में शिरकत की थी, लेकिन उस वक्त दोनों नेताओं की मुलाकात नहीं हुई थी।

मोदी ने मंगलवार को शिखर सम्मलेन से इतर बाली में भारतीय समुदाय के लोगों को संबोधित भी किया। मोदी को सुनने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में लोग जुटे थे जिनमें ज्यादातर मुसलमान थे। उनके हाथों में तिरंगा और मोदी की तस्वीर थी। इन लोगों ने मोदी-मोदी के नारे भी लगाए। मोदी ने अपने भाषण में भारत और इंडोनेशिया के बीच हजारों साल पुराने सांस्कृतिक संबंधों और समुद्र के रास्ते होनेवाले व्यापार का जिक्र किया।

उन्होंने कहा, भारत में गंगा नदी है तो इंडोनेशिया के पास तीर्थ गंगा है (यह बाली में पूर्व शाही महल के अंदर भव्य तौर पर सजाया गया वाटर गार्डेन है)। अगर भारत में हिमालय है तो इंडोनेशिया में अगुंग पर्वत है। अगर भारत में हम हर शुभ कार्य का श्रीगणेश करते हैं तो इंडोनेशिया की मुद्रा पर गणेश का चित्र है। मोदी ने कहा दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा मुस्लिम आबादी का देश होने के बावजूद इंडोनेशिया की परंपराएं और रीति-रिवाज भारत जैसे ही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इंडोनेशिया के लोग भी भारतीयों की तरह पूर्णिमा और एकादशी का उपवास रखते हैं।

पीएम मोदी ने भारतीय समुदाय के लोगों से कहा कि भारत में बड़ा बदलाव आया है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘आज का भारत छोटा नहीं सोचता। नए भारत ने अब बड़े लक्ष्य निर्धारित किए हैं और उन्हें प्राप्त किया है। पिछले आठ वर्षों में हमने 55 हजार किलोमीटर राजमार्ग बनाए, ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बराबर आबादी के लिए घर बनाए, करीब इतनी ही आबादी के लिए बैंक खाते खोले। अमेरिका और यूरोपीय संघ के बराबर आबादी को आयुष्मान भारत के तहत स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान की। पहले भारत मदद के लिए दुनिया की ओर देखता था, अब दुनिया भारत की ओर मदद के लिए देखती है।’

मोदी ने कहा, ‘भारत की प्रगति की गति और स्केल ने एक लंबी छलांग लगाई है, लेकिन हम अपने अतीत पर गर्व करना नहीं भूले हैं। इंडोनेशिया के लोगों ने इस्लामिक देश होने के बावजूद अपनी परंपराओं को बचाकर रखा है, हम भारत में भी वही कर रहे हैं।’

इंडोनेशिया में करीब डेढ़ लाख भारतीय रहते हैं। दोनों देशों के बीच करीब 20 अरब डॉलर का व्यापार होता है। इंडोनेशिया दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया में भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा व्यापारिक भागीदार है। इंडोनेशिया ने भारत से तेजस लड़ाकू विमान और ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक मिसाइल खरीदने में रुचि दिखाई है। बाली में मोदी ने कहा, एक समय था जब भारत अपने सभी रक्षा उपकरण विदेशों से खरीदता था, लेकिन अब अन्य देश भारत से तेजस विमान और ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल खरीदने के लिए आगे आए हैं।

नरेन्द्र मोदी ने अच्छा किया कि उन्होंने इंडोनेशिया की धरती पर खड़े होकर पूरी दुनिया को बताया कि भारत कहां-कहां और किस-किस क्षेत्र में नंबर वन है। मोदी ने याद दिलाया कि भारत दुनिया की सबसे तेजी से बढ़ती अर्थव्यवस्था है। लेकिन साथ-साथ मोदी ये भी नहीं भूले कि भारत भी उसी दुनिया का हिस्सा है जो आर्थिक संकट से जूझ रही है।

मोदी जानते हैं कि आज भारत में महंगाई यूरोप के देशों के मुकाबले कम है लेकिन अगर विश्व आर्थिक संकट बना रहता है तो आने वाले दिन भारत के लिए भी मुश्किल भरे हो सकते हैं। अब G-20 की अध्यक्षता मिलने के बाद भारत की और भारत के प्रधानमंत्री की जिम्मेदारी और भी ज्यादा है।

G-20 सम्मेलन में जितने भी बड़े-बड़े देशों के नेता मौजूद थे उनके हाथ में दुनिया की अर्थव्यवस्था है। उनके हाथ में पूरे विश्व का व्यापार है। लेकिन सबके सामने दो बड़े संकट हैं। एक रूस-यूक्रेन का युद्ध और दूसरा इस युद्ध से पैदा आर्थिक दबाव। प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने इन दोनों संकट से निपटने का तरीका दुनिया के सामने रखा।

दोनों संकट से निपटने का रास्ता एक ही है। मोदी ने कहा कि रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध को तुरंत खत्म करने की जरूरत है। G-20 के नए अध्यक्ष के तौर पर भारत इसमें लीड लेने को तैयार है। अगर वाकई में आने वाले दिनों में मोदी इस जंग को रोकने का रास्ता निकाल पाए तो दुनिया का भला होगा और भारत का मान बढ़ेगा।

India on Wednesday was handed over the presidency of G20 at the closing ceremony of Bali summit. Indonesian President Joko Widodo handed over the presidency of the world’s most powerful grouping to Prime Minister Narendra Modi amidst cheers from all those present.

G20 group includes the world’s major and emerging economies, and it accounts for nearly 85 per cent of the world’s Gross Domestic Product, 75 per cent of world trade and nearly two-thirds of the world’s population.

G20 includes India, USA, UK, European Union, China, Russia, France, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Argentina, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and South Africa.

After taking over the G20 presidency, Narendra Modi told the august gathering: “India is taking charge of the G20 at a time when the world is simultaneously grappling with geopolitical tensions, economic slowdown, rising food and energy prices, and the long-term ill-effects of the pandemic. At such a time, the world is looking at G-20 with hope. Today, I want to assure that India’s G20 presidency will be inclusive, ambitious, decisive and action-oriented.”

Describing India as the ‘Mother of Democracy’, Modi said: “It is a proud occasion for every Indian that India is assuming the G20 presidency. We will organize G20 meetings in different cities and states of India and our guests will get the full experience of India’s amazing diversity, inclusive traditions and cultural richness. ….Together we will make G20 a catalyst for global change.”

On Wednesday morning, before the closing ceremony, Modi, along with other G20 leaders visited the famous Mangrove forests in Bali, as part of global conservation efforts. India has more than 55 mangrove species spread over 5,000 sq. km. These mangroves across the world , with their rich biodiversity serve as effective carbon sinks to check climate change.

The war clouds of Ukraine hovered over the G20 summit in Bali as reports came that a missile has struck a village in eastern Poland killing two people. Though Russia has denied that it has attacked Poland, US President Joe Biden has called an urgent meeting of G7 and Nato countries to discuss the emerging situation.

On the first day of Bali summit, PM Narendra Modi raised the Ukraine issue. He said: “I have repeatedly said that we have to find a way to return to the path of ceasefire and diplomacy in Ukraine. Over the past century, the Second World War wreaked havoc in the world. After that, the leaders of that time made a serious effort to take the path of peace. Now it’s our turn.”

“The onus of creating a new world order for the post-Covid period lies on our shoulders. The need of the hour is to show concrete and collective resolve to ensure peace, harmony and security in the world. I am confident that next year when the G20 meets in the holy land of Buddha and Gandhi, we will agree to convey a strong message of peace to the world.”

Modi said: “Climate change, Covid pandemic, developments in Ukraine, and the global problems associated with it, all these together have caused havoc in the world. Global supply chains are in ruins. There is a crisis of essentials, essential goods all over the world. The challenge for poor citizens of every country is more severe.”

In other words, PM Modi was clearly telling the leaders of the West, China and Russia sitting at the summit that war will not benefit any one, and if we all need to help humanity and make the earth a paradise, peace and brotherhood is essential. Modi also told the leaders that the Ukraine war must end soon, and all major powers should find a way out. He said, India was ready to play a lead role in ending the war.

Modi told the Bali summit that it was India which ensured food security for its 1.3 billion citizens when the pandemic was at its zenith. “At the same time”, he said, “India supplied foodgrains to many countries in need. The current shortage of fertilizers in terms of food security can cause a huge crisis. Today’s fertilizer shortage can cause tomorrow’s food crisis. We should all agree to maintain supply chain of both ferilizers and foodgrains stable and assured”.

Modi also told the G20 leaders how India supplied Covid vaccines to countries who were in dire need. Today when the world economy is facing crisis, he said, India has emerged as a bright example for big powers, he said.

Modi had bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron, German chancellor Olaf Scholz, British prime minister Rishi Sunak, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and Indonesian president Joko Widodo.

At the dinner on the first day of summit, Modi was speaking to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken when Xi Jinping walked in. Modi greeted Xi and shook hands with him. This was the first meeting between Modi and Xi since the Galwan valley clash in Ladakh. Both the leaders spoke to each other smilingly for a few minutes. Modi and Xi had attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand this year, but the two did not meet at that time.

Modi took time out to address Indian community members in Bali on Tuesday. Among the audience were a large number of Muslims, some of them holding the tricolour and Modi’s picture. Some of them greeted the PM by chanting ‘Modi, Modi’. In his speech, Modi recalled the thousand years old cultural links and maritime trade between India and Indonesia.

He said, if India has the holy river Ganga, Indonesia has Tirta Gangga, a former royal palace in Bali, with its lavishly decorate water garden. If India has the Himalayas, Indonesia has the Agung Parbat (Mount Agung). If in India, all auspicious work begins with prayers to Lord Ganesha, Indonesia has the image of Ganesha on its currency. Modi said, Indonesia, despite being the world’s most populated Muslim nation, has traditions and customs similar to those in India. He said, people in Indonesia observe fast on Full Moon and Ekadashi, like Indians.

Modi also told the Indian community members that India has undergone a sea change. “We no more think small. New India has now set big targets and achieves them. In the last eight years, we built 55,000 km of highways, built houses for a population equal to that of Australia, opened bank accounts for a population equal to that of the US, and provided Ayushman Bharat health service to a population equal to that of the European Union…. Earlier India used to look at the world for assistance, now the world looks at India for help.”
Modi said, “the speed and scale of India’s progress has taken a quantum jump, but we have not forgotten to take pride in our past. Like the Indonesians, despite being an Islamic country, have preserved their traditions, we in India are also doing the same.”

Nearly 1.5 lakh Indians live in Indonesia. Both countries have a trade worth nearly 20 billion dollars. Indonesia is India’s second biggest trading partner in South East Asia. Indonesia has shown interest in buying Tejas fighter aircraft and Brahmos supersonic missiles ffrom India. In Bali, Modi said, there was a time when India used to purchase all its defence equipment from abroad, but now other countries have come forward to buy Tejas aircraft and Brahmos missiles from India.

On Indonesian soil, Modi stood and told the world where India stands today and in which field India leads the rest of the world. Modi reminded G20 leaders that India is the world’s fastest growing economy. But he also told them that India is part of the world which is now facing economic crisis.

Modi understands that India’s inflation rate today may be lower than that of European countries, but the coming months could spell trouble for India, if the world economic crisis persists. After taking over the G20 presidency, the responsibility of Indian Prime Minister has grown manifold.

Most of the major economies that are part of G20 are facing two big crises: Russia-Ukraine war and the economic consequences of that war. Modi has clearly enunciated the path of how to tackle both these crises.

The first objective is to end the war in Ukraine, at the earliest. As the new president of G20 group, India is ready to take the lead. If Modi manages to find a way out of the Russia-Ukraine war in the coming weeks, the world can heave a sigh of relief and India’s prestige will be enhanced.

26 साल की ज़िंदादिल महिला श्रद्धा वाकर की उसके लिव-इन पार्टनर 28 वर्षीय आफताब अमीन पूनावाला ने जघन्य तरीके से हत्या कर दी। इस हत्या ने पूरे देश को झकझोर कर रख दिया है।

हत्यारे ने इस साल मई में गुस्से में श्रद्धा का गला घोंट कर मार डाला। उसके मृत शरीर को रखने के लिए बड़ा फ्रिज खरीद कर लाया। चूंकि लाश फ्रिज में नहीं आ सकती थी इसलिए उसने शव को बिजली की आरी से 35 टुकड़ों में काट दिया और उन्हें 18 दिनों तक दक्षिण दिल्ली के महरौली के जंगल में फेंक दिया। युवती के लापता होने की शिकायत दर्ज होने के बाद मुंबई पुलिस दिल्ली आई । दिल्ली पुलिस ने 11 नवंबर को आफताब को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।

इस लोमहर्षक कांड के बारे में चौंकाने वाली जानकारियां सामने आ रही है, कि कैसे आफताब ने उसके शरीर को टुकड़ों में काटा और आधी रात को जंगल में आवारा कुत्तों को खिला दिया।

श्रद्धा के शव के टुकड़ो की तलाश में दिल्ली पुलिस मंगलवार की सुबह आफताब को महरौली के जंगल में लेकर पहुंची। फॉरेंसिक विशेषज्ञों ने अब तक, बॉडी पार्ट के लगभग 10 सैंपल बरामद किए गए हैं। इन मानव अवशेषों को लैब भेजा जाएगा। उन्हें श्रद्धा के पिता के सैंपल के साथ मिलान करने के लिए डीएनए टेस्ट कराया जाएगा। उसके शरीर के अन्य अवयवों को बरामद करने के लिए तलाश जारी रहेगी।

पुलिस का कहना है कि आफताब ने 18 मई को उसकी गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी थी, लेकिन उसके दोस्त लक्ष्मण नाडर ने दावा किया है कि उसने जुलाई में श्रद्धा के साथ व्हाट्सएप पर चैट की थी। नाडर ने कहा, श्रद्धा ने तब उससे उसे बचाने का अनुरोध किया था और आशंका जताई थी कि आफताब उसे मार सकता है। दिल्ली पुलिस जांच के सभी पहलुओं का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है।

शव का को ठिकाने कैसे लगाना है, यह जानने के लिए हत्यारे ने पहले अमेरिकी क्राइम सीरीज ‘डेक्सटर’ सहित कई क्राइम फिल्में देखी । उसने गूगल के जरिए खून के धब्बे हटाने के तरीके भी सीखे । जब पुलिस ने उसे गिरफ्तार किया, तो आफताब ने कहा, “हां, मैंने उसे मार डाला।” पुलिस अब शव को काटने में इस्तेमाल की गई बिजली के आरी की तलाश कर रही है।

पुलिस सूत्रों ने बताया कि श्रद्धा के सीने पर बैठने और गला दबाकर हत्या करने के बाद आफताब ने निष्प्राण शरीर को वॉशरूम में रख दिया। इसके बाद इंटरनेट पर शव को ठिकाने लगाने के तरीके खोजने लगा। अगले दिन, उसने एक इलेक्ट्रिक मिनी आरी खरीदी और शव को 35 टुकड़ों में काट दिया। उसने अपने और श्रद्धा के खून से सने कपड़ों को कूड़ा उठाने वाली वैन में फेंक दिया और अवशेषों को अपनी रसोई की अलमारी और फ्रिज के अंदर छिपा दिया।

आफताब एक फूड ब्लॉगर था क्योंकि उसने शेफ की ट्रेनिंग ली थी। उसने एक दुकान से सल्फर हाइपोक्लोराइट का घोल खरीदा और खून के सभी दाग मिटाने के लिए फर्श को धोया। शव को 35 टुकड़ों में काटने में उसे पूरे दो दिन लगे। श्रद्धा सोशल मीडिया पर बहुत एक्टिव थी । किसी को शक ना हो इसके लिए वह तीन महीने तक श्रद्धा के सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट फेसबुक और इंस्टाग्राम पर अपडेट करता रहा। उसने 9 जून तक श्रद्धा बनकर सोशल मीडिया पर उसके दोस्तों के साथ चैट भी की।

आफताब ने पुलिस को बताया कि उसने श्रद्धा का सैल फोन महाराष्ट्र में कहीं फेंक दिया था। पुलिस अब आखिरी कॉल डिटेल और लोकेशन की जांच के लिए लापता सैलफोन का पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है। उसने पुलिस को यह भी बताया कि हत्या के 15 से 20 दिन के भीतर उसने बम्बल डेटिंग ऐप पर एक अन्य लड़की से दोस्ती की और उसे अपने फ्लैट पर भी ले आया। आफताब ने जून तक श्रद्धा के इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट का इस्तेमाल यह दिखाने के लिए किया कि वह जिंदा है और ठीक ठाक है।

श्रद्धा के पिता विकास वाकर ने हत्यारे के लिए मौत की सजा की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा “मुझे यह लव जिहाद का मामला लगता है। मेरी अपील है कि आफताब को फांसी दें।”

लिव-इन कपल 8 मई को मुंबई से दिल्ली आया था। वे पहले पहाड़गंज के एक होटल में रुके और बाद में दक्षिण दिल्ली में एक फ्लैट ढूंढने लगे। एक प्रॉपर्टी डीलर बद्री ने छतरपुर पहाड़ी में एक फ्लैट किराए पर दिलाने में उनकी मदद की। यह फ्लैट महरौली जंगल के करीब था। दस दिन बाद 18 मई को श्रद्धा की गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी गई। पुलिस ने आफताब को फ्लैट किराए पर दिलाने वाले प्रॉपर्टी डीलर बद्री को हिरासत में लिया है। उससे पूछताछ की जा रही है।

श्रद्धा और आफताब दोनों मुंबई के वसई (पश्चिम) में रहते थे। श्रद्धा ने एक कॉन्वेंट स्कूल में पढ़ाई की थी, और उसके बाद एक प्राइवेट इंस्टीट्यूट में बैचलर ऑफ मास मीडिया की पढ़ाई की थी। उसने एक रिटेल स्पोर्ट्स शॉप में कस्टमर सेल्स रिप्रेजेंटेटिव, सेल्स मैनेजर और बाद में एक आईटी कॉमर्स फर्म में टीम लीडर के रूप में काम किया।

आफताब ने वसई के एक एसएससी स्कूल में पढ़ाई की थी। इसके बाद उसने बैचलर ऑफ मैनेजमेंट स्टडीज की पढ़ाई की और फिर बिजनेस करने के लिए पुणे चला गया। ये दोनों 2019 में एक डेटिंग ऐप बम्बल पर मिले और माता-पिता के विरोध के बावजूद लिव-इन रिलेशनशिप में रहना शुरू कर दिया। 2020 में मां के निधन के बाद श्रद्धा अपने घर आ गईं, लेकिन दो हफ्ते बाद ही आफताब के साथ रहने चली गईं।

आफताब ने शेफ की ट्रेनिंग ली थी और वह एक फूड ब्लॉगर था । उसने ग्राफिक डिजाइन का काम भी किया था। श्रद्धा द्वारा शादी का दबाव डाले जाने के बाद दोनों के रिश्तों में कड़वाहट आ गई। श्रद्धा को शंका थी कि अफताब अन्य युवतियों से भी दोस्ती करने लगा है। यह लिव-इन कपल मार्च और अप्रैल में उत्तर भारत के हिल स्टेशनों पर घूमने गए और फिर दिल्ली के छतरपुर पहाड़ी में एक फ्लैट किराए पर लेकर वहीं रहने लग गए।

अगर श्रद्धा के पूर्व क्लासमेट लक्ष्मण नाडर ने उसके भाई को फोन करके यह नहीं कहा होता कि श्रद्धा से ढाई महीने से संपर्क नहीं हो पा रहा है तो हत्या गुप्त ही रहती। यह मामला कभी सामने न आता और हत्यारा बच जाता।

6 अक्टूबर को श्रद्धा के पिता ने मुंबई के वसई इलाके के DCP के समक्ष गुमशुदगी का मामला दर्ज कराया। इसके बाद पुलिस ने जांच शुरू की । मुंबई पुलिस ने पाया कि उसका फोन अनरिचेबल था, मई से उसके बैंक अकाउंट से भी पैसे नहीं निकाले गए और उसके फोन का लास्ट लोकेशन दिल्ली का छतरपुर पहाड़ी इलाका था। इसके बाद दिल्ली पुलिस से संपर्क किया गया। आफताब से मुंबई पुलिस ने पूछताछ की, लेकिन उसने कहा कि श्रद्धा झगड़े के बाद मई में फ्लैट छोड़ कर चली गई है। 10 नवंबर को मुंबई और दिल्ली पुलिस की एक संयुक्त टीम ने आफताब को पूछताछ के लिए हिरासत में लिया और उसने जघन्य हत्या की बात कबूल कर ली।

श्रद्धा फेसबुक पर अपनी तस्वीरें पोस्ट करती थीं और उसके परिवार वाले इस बात से संतुष्ट थे कि वह ठीक हैं, लेकिन पांच महीने पहले वह अचानक इनएक्टिव हो गईं।

हत्यारे ने जांचकर्ताओं को बताया कि उसने वारदात की रात पहले गुस्से में श्रद्धा का गला घोंट दिया, जोमैटो से खाना मंगवाया और डिनर किया, जबकि मृत शरीर फ्लैट में पड़ा था। दुर्गंध को दूर करने के लिए उसने एक बड़ा फ्रिज भी खरीदा और शव के 35 टुकड़े करके फ्रिज में रख दिए।

18 दिन तक वह दो-दो टुकड़े निकालकर रात के करीब 2 बजे जंगल में फेंकने जाता था। आफताब रोज अपने फ्लैट में खाना मंगवाता था, लंच और डिनर करता था। इतना ही नहीं , बदबू से बचने के लिए वह अगरबत्ती जलाता और रूम फ्रेशनर भी इस्तेमाल करता था। ये सब उसने पड़ोसियों के संदेह को दूर करने के लिए किया। आफ़ताब ने कभी भागने की कोशिश नहीं की क्योंकि वह यह मान चुका था कि उसका कुकृत्य कभी सामने नहीं आएगा, क्योंकि उसने सारे सबूत मिटा दिए थे।

इस हत्याकांड ने कई गंभीर सवाल उठाए हैं। जो लड़की अपना घर छोड़कर, परिवार से लड़कर किसी शख्स के साथ प्यार के चलते दिल्ली आ गई, जो लड़की सारे रिश्ते नाते तोड़कर लिव-इन रिलेशनशिप में रहने लगी, एक झगड़े की वजह से उसे गला घोंटकर मार डाला गया और उसकी लाश के टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिए गए।

लोग पूछ रहे हैं कि आफताब को किस तरह के संस्कार दिए गए जो उसने अपनी ही गर्लफ्रेंड के शरीर के टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिए।

पहला: 28 साल का एक पढ़ा-लिखा नौजवान, जिसने शेफ की ट्रेनिंग ली है, एक फूड ब्लॉगर के रूप में काम कर रहा है, इतना पत्थरदिल कैसे हो सकता है कि अपने लिव-इन पार्टनर को नृशंस तरीके से मौत के घाट उतार दे? आफताब के दिलो-दिमाग में ऐसी बातें कहां से आईं कि अपनी ही प्रेमिका पर पर आरी चलाते हुए उसके हाथ नहीं कांपे।

दूसरा: ऐसा लगता है कि कुछ लोगों के मन से कानून का डर खत्म हो गया है। यह कड़वा सच है कि लाख कोशिशों के बावजूद बलात्कार और हत्या के आरोपी छूट जाते हैं। या तो उन्हें सजा नहीं मिलती, और अगर मिलती भी है तो बाद में माफ हो जाती है। कोर्ट में केस लड़ने में इतना पैसा, इतना वक्त लगता है कि अच्छे-अच्छों की हिम्मत टूट जाती है।

पीड़ित के परिवार को अदालतों में कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ने में सालों खपाना पड़ता है, लाखों रुपये खर्च करने पड़ते हैं, और ज्यादातर लोग इतने में हिम्मत हार जाते हैं। ट्रायल इतना लंबा चलता है कि हिम्मत वालों की सांस फूल जाती है। अपराधियों के पास बचने के ऑप्शंस कई सारे हैं, सजा दिलाने की कोशिश करने वालों के रास्ते सीमित है। इसलिए जो हत्या करते हैं उन्हें ना उम्रकैद का खौफ है और न फांसी का डर।

ऐसे मामलों को टुकड़ों में न देखकर पूरे सिस्टम के बारे में सोचने की जरूरत है। पुलिस की जांच से लेकर अदालत की प्रक्रिया तक के बारे में विचार करने की जरूरत है। अपराधियों की मानसिकता पर चोट करने की जरूरत है। उनके दिलों दिमाग पर कानून का डर पैदा करने की जरूरत है। अगर ऐसा करने में और देर हुई तो कल को कई और श्रद्धा किसी आफताब के हाथों इसी तरह बेरहमी से मारी जाएगी।

The horrendous murder of a lively 26-year-old woman, Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner 28-year-old Aftaab Ameen Poonawala has shocked the nation.

The killer, after strangulating her in May this year in a fit of rage, kept her body in a newly bought refrigerator, cut the body into 35 pieces with an electric saw and scattered them for over 18 days in the Meharauli forest area of South Delhi. He was arrested six months later by Delhi Police on November 11, after Mumbai Police alerted their counterparts about the missing woman.

Already, chilling details are emerging about how Aftaab chopped her body into pieces and fed them to stray dogs in the forest area at midnight.

On Tuesday morning, Aftaab was taken by Delhi Police to the forest to hunt for the pieces thrown by him. So far, nearly 10 samples of remains suspected to be of a human being have been recovered, picked up forensic experts and are being sent for DNA test to match with the samples of Shraddha’s father. The search will continue to recover other parts of her body.

Police say, Aftaab strangled her to death on May 18, but their common friend Laxman Nadar claimed, he had chatted with Shraddha on WhatsApp in July. Nadar said, Shraddha had then requested him to save her and expressed fear that Aftaab could kill her. Delhi Police is trying to join the loose ends in the investigation.

The killer had watched several crime movies including the American crime series Dexter to learn how to dispose of bodies. He had also learnt ways of removing bloodstains through Google. When police arrested him, Aftaab said “Yes, I killed her.” Police is now hunting for the electric saw used for chopping the dead body.

Police sources said, after sitting on Shraddha’s chest and strangling her to death, Aftaab put the lifeless body inside the washroom, and then started searching ways of disposing the body by surfing internet. The next day, he purchased an electric mini-saw and chopped the body into 35 parts. He threw his and Shraddha’s blood-stained clothes in the garbage collection van, and hid the remains inside the cupboards of his kitchen and inside the fridge.

Aftaab was a food blogger as he had undergone training as a chef. He bought sulphur hypochlorite solution from a shop and washed the floor to remove all blood samples. He took two days to dismember the body into 35 parts. For three months, he updated Shraddha’s social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram to evade suspicions, since she was very much active on social media. He chatted with her friends on social media, posing as Shraddha, till June 9.

Aftaab told investigators he had thrown Shraddha’s cellphone somewhere in Maharashtra. Police are now trying to find out the missing cellphone to check the last call details and locations. He also told police that within 15 to 20 days of the murder, he struck friendship with another girl on Bumble dating app and even brought her to his flat. Aftaab used Shraddha’s Instagram account till June to show that she was alive and well.

Shraddha’s father Vikas Walkar has demanded death penalty for the killer. “I think this seems to be a case of love jihad. My appeal is: please hang Aftab.”

The live-in couple had come to Delhi from Mumbai on May 8. They first stayed in a Paharganj hotel and later hunted for a flat in South Delhi. A property dealer Badri helped them in renting a flat in Chhatarpur Pahadi. This flat was close to the Mehrauli forest area. Ten days later, on May 18, Shraddha was strangulated to death. Police have detained Badri, the property dealer, who rented out the flat to Aftaab. He is being questioned.

Both Shraddha and Aftaab lived in Mumbai’s Vasai (West). Shraddha studied in a convent school, studied Bachelor of Mass Media in a private institute, worked as a customer sales representative, sales manager in a retail sports shop and a team leader in an IT commerce firm.

Aftaab studied in an SSC school in Vasai, studied Bachelor of Management Studies and then went to Pune to do business. They met on a dating app Bumble in 2019, and despite objections from parents, started a live-in relationship. In 2020, Shraddha came to her home after her mother died, but left after two weeks to live with Aftaab.

Aaftaab, a trained chef, was a food blogger and he also took up graphic design assignments. Their relationship soured after Shraddha pressurized her to marry. The live-in couple visited hill stations in north India in March and April, and then shifted to Delhi, when they rented a flat in Chhattarpur Pahadi.

The murder would have remained under wraps had not Laxman Nadar, a former classmate of Shraddha phoned her brother to say that she was not contactable for the last two and a half months.

On October 6, Shraddha’s father filed a missing application before the DCP of Vasai. Mumbai police found that her phone was unreachable, there were no withdrawals from her bank accounts since May, and her last location was traced to Delhi’s Chhattarpur Pahadi. Delhi Police was contacted. Aftaab was questioned by Mumbai police, but he said Shraddha had left the flat since May after a quarrel. On November 10, a joint team of Mumbai and Delhi police detained Aftaab for questioning, and he confessed to the gruesome murder.

Shraddha used to post her pictures on Facebook, and her family members were satisfied that she was well, but five months ago, she suddenly became inactive.

The killer told investigators that he first strangulated Shraddha in a fit of rage, ordered food from Zomato, had his dinner, even as the lifeless body was lying in the flat. To stop the stench from emanating, he bought a big refrigerator, chopped the body into 35 pieces and put them in the fridge.

For 18 days, he used to take out two pieces each and go at around 2 am in the night to throw them in the forest. Aftaab used to order food daily to his flat, calmly had his lunch and dinner, and used to burn incense sticks and room fresheners to prevent the stench from emanating. He did this to prevent suspicion on part of the neighbours. Aftaab never made any attempt to flee because he felt safe under the assumption that his act will never come to light, as he had removed all evidences.

This gruesome murder raises serious questions. A girl leaves her family after falling in love with a man, stayed in a live-in relationship with him, and, because of a quarrel, she was strangulated to death and her body were chopped to pieces.

Questions are being asked about the upbringing (sanskar) that Aftaab had, which made him to chop the body of his beloved to pieces.

One: How could it be that an educated 28-year-old man, trained as a chef, working as a food blogger, have the gumption to kill his live-in partner in this gruesome manner? His fingers didn’t tremble when he was using the electric saw to chop off the body parts.

Two: the fear of law appears to have vanished from the minds of some people. It is a sad fact that people accused of gangrape and murder, get released from jail. Either they do not get the death sentence, and even if they get the death penalty or life imprisonment, it is either commuted or pardoned.

For the families of victims, it takes years and millions of rupees to fight the battle in courts, and most of the people lose courage. The trial is so lengthy that even the courageous lose patience. The criminals have so many options to save themselves from the hangman’s noose. The means of punishment are now limited. Those who murder people, do not have any fear of the death penalty.

One must ponder over the entire legal system, instead of thinking over parts of the problem. One must think how to speed up the police investigation and the legal process. The aim must be to strike at the mindset of criminals. The fear of death must strike at the hearts of the criminals. If this process is delayed, there could be some other Shraddha, who may be killed in a similar gruesome manner by the likes of Aftaab.
