राहुल गांधी माफी नहीं मांगेंगे
संसद के ठप पड़े पांच दिन हो गए हैं । आज भी दोनों तरफ से नारे लगे, हंगामा हुआ और दोनों सदनों की कार्यवाही सोमवार तक स्थगित कर दी गई । बजट सत्र का दूसरा चरण सोमवार को शुरु हुआ था, और तब से लेकर अब तक कोई कामकाज नहीं हो सका है। कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने ब्रिटेन में भारतीय लोकतंत्र पर दिए अपने बयान को लेकर संसद में बोलने का वादा किया था । बीजेपी अध्यक्ष जेपी नड्डा ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि राहुल गांधी ने विदेशी धरती पर जाकर भारत का अपमान किया है, उन्हें माफी मांगनी चाहिए। विपक्ष अडानी मुद्दे को लेकर संयुक्त संसदीय जांच की मांग पर अड़ा हुआ है । राहुल गांधी ने कल कहा था कि ‘ यह लोकतंत्र की परीक्षा होगी कि क्या मुझे चार मंत्रियों द्वारा लगाए गए आरोपों का जवाब देने की अनुमति दी जाती है या मुझे चुप रहने के लिए कहा जाता है । मेरे इर्द-गिर्द तमाशा खड़ा करना ध्यान भटकाने की रणनीति है । सरकार पीएम मोदी और उद्योगपति गौतम अडानी के बीच संबंधों के सवाल का जवाब नहीं देना चाहती है।’ राहुल गांधी पिछले 9 साल से अंबानी और अडानी को लेकर आरोप लगाते रहे हैं। राहुल आज भी वही बातें दोहराते हैं। इसलिए उनसे यह उम्मीद करना तो बेकार है कि उन्होंने लंदन में भारत के लोकतंत्र को लेकर जो सवाल उठाए, उसके लिए माफी मांगेंगे। जब मीडियाकर्मियों ने राहुल से लंदन वाले बयान पर पूछा तो उन्होंने कहा कि इस पर वो संसद में बोलेंगे क्योंकि ये सवाल संसद में उठाए गए हैं। लेकिन राहुल भूल गए कि बीजेपी ने यह सवाल संसद के बाहर भी उठाए हैं। इसलिए यह तो तय है कि राहुल गांधी माफी नहीं मांगेंगे।
जेल में सिसोदिया
दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने पूर्व उप मुख्यमंत्री मनीष सिसोदिया की न्यायिक हिरासत पांच दिनों के लिए बढ़ा दी है। ईडी ने कोर्ट से मनीष सिसोदिया की हिरासत अवधि बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया था। ईडी के वकील ने कोर्ट में कहा कि सिसोदिया ने अपने कई मोबाइल फोन नष्ट कर दिये हैं और इस मामले में अन्य आरोपियों के साथ आमने-सामने बैठाकर पूछताछ करने की जरूरत है। कल सीबीआई ने 2015 में गठित फीडबैक यूनिट में कथित अनियमितताओं को लेकर सिसोदिया के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की । सीबीआई ने अपनी एफआईआर में आरोप लगाया कि नेताओं के बारे में खुफिया जानकारी इकट्ठा करने के लिए फीडबैक यूनिट बनाई गई थी और गृह मंत्रालय ने ‘राजनीतिक जासूसी’ के लिए सिसोदिया पर मुकदमा चलाने की मंजूरी दी थी। दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने ट्वीट किया-‘प्रधानमंत्री की योजना मनीष के खिलाफ कई झूठे मुकदमे चलाने और लंबे समय तक उन्हें हिरासत में रखने की है।’ ये बात सही है कि सीबीआई ने जो केस दर्ज किया है उसमें भ्रष्टाचार का इल्जाम छोटा लगता है। फीडबैक यूनिट में कुल 17 भर्तियां हुईं। सिर्फ एक करोड़ का बजट था जिसमें से ढाई-ढाई लाख दो प्राइवेट कंपनियों को भुगतान का दावा किया गया है। ये राशि बहुत छोटी लग सकती है लेकिन फीडबैक यूनिट का इस्तेमाल राजनीतिक विरोधियों की जासूसी के लिए किया गया। ये गंभीर आरोप है। अगर सीबीआई इस केस में सबूत सामने रखती है और आरोप सिद्ध करती है तो केजरीवाल की कानूनी और राजनीतिक मुसीबत बहुत बढ़ जाएगी। क्योंकि जिन लोगों की जासूसी का दावा किया जा रहा है उनमें सिर्फ बीजेपी या कांग्रेस के लोग नहीं हैं, उनमें केजरीवाल की अपनी पार्टी के लोग भी हैं। अगर यह मामला साबित हो जाता है तो यह मैसेज जाएगा कि केजरीवल को अपने लोगों पर भी भरोसा नहीं है। वे अपने लोगों की भी जासूसी करवाते हैं।
तेजस्वी यादव और सीबीआई
नौकरी के बदले जमीन घोटाले में सीबीआई ने बिहार के उप मुख्यमंत्री तेजस्वी यादव को गुरुवार को पूछताछ के लिए बुलाया था लेकिन तेजस्वी के वकील दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट चले गए। तेजस्वी की तरफ से कहा गया कि बिहार में बजट सेशन चल रहा है और उनका पटना में रहना जरूरी है। वे दिल्ली में सीबीआई के दफ्तर में पेश नहीं हो सकते। उन्हें मार्च के बाद की कोई तारीख दी जाए। इसके बाद हाईकोर्ट ने तेजस्वी को पूछताछ के लिए 25 मार्च को सीबीआई के सामने पेश होने का आदेश दिया। आरजेडी नेताओं का कहना है कि तेजस्वी को गिरफ्तारी का कोई डर नहीं है। सीबीआई के वकील का कहना है कि एजेंसी उन्हें कुछ दस्तावेज दिखाना चाहती है और इस संबंध में तेजस्वी से पूछताछ की जरूरत है। वहीं बीजेपी नेता सुशील मोदी का कहना है कि तेजस्वी कितने भी बहाने कर लें वे जांच से नहीं बच पाएंगे। ‘उन्हें सीबीआई को यह बताना पड़ेगा कि 23 साल की उम्र में उनके पास करोड़ों की संपत्ति कहां से आई?’ लालू के खिलाफ जांच को बीजेपी भ्रष्टाचार का पक्का केस बता रही है लेकिन आरजेडी इसे बुजुर्ग और बीमार लालू को परेशान और बदनाम करने का खेल बताकर भावनात्मक मुद्दे के तौर पर पेश कर रही है। तेजस्वी अपने बचाव में कहते हैं, ‘मेरे पिता लालू प्रसाद 2009 तक रेल मंत्री थे। उस वक्त तो मेरी दाढ़ी मूंछ भी नहीं आई थी। फिर मैं उस उम्र में घोटाला कैसे कर सकता हूं?’ अब घोटाला हुआ या नहीं इसके सबूत सीबीआई जुटाएगी और फैसला अदालत करेगी। लेकिन इस वक्त तो ये लगता है कि जिस तरह लालू यादव व्हीलचेयर पर बैठकर कोर्ट में पहुंचे थे, वो बिहार के लोगों को बुरा लगा और इसका फायदा तेजस्वी को मिल सकता है।
महबूबा ने शिवलिंग पर जल चढ़ाया
जम्मू-कश्मीर की पूर्व सीएम महबूबा मुफ्ती पुंछ जिले के नवग्रह मंदिर में शिवलिंग पर जल चढ़ाकर मौलवियों के निशाने पर आ गईं । कई मौलवी महबूबा की आलोचना करने लगे और इसे गैर इस्लामिक बताया । वहीं जम्मू-कश्मीर बीजेपी के अध्यक्ष रवींद्र रैना ने महबूबा की तारीफ की। महबूबा मुफ्ती ने कहा-‘इस मंदिर को हमारे पीडीपी के नेता यशपाल शर्मा ने बनवाया था। मैं मंदिर को अंदर से जाकर देखना चाहती थी। मुझे इस्लाम के उसूल पता हैं और कोई मौलाना मुझे इस्लाम न सिखाए। यह मेरा निजी मामला है, इसमें ज्यादा बहस की जरूरत नहीं है।’ महबूबा मुफ्ती अगर मंदिर में चली गईं तो इस पर इतनी हाय तौबा मचाने की क्या जरूरत है। अगर उन्होंने शिवलिंग पर जल चढ़ा दिया तो इसमें इतना परेशान होने की क्या जरूरत है। हमने कई बार डॉक्टर फारुक अब्दुल्ला को श्रीनगर के शंकराचार्य मंदिर में पूजा करते देखा है। मैंने भी फारुक साहब के साथ उस मंदिर में बैठकर पूजा की है और उन्हें भगवान राम के भजन गाते सुना है। शायद वो ज़माना और था जब ऐसी बातों को कोई मुद्दा नहीं बनाता था। अब आज के ज़माने में हर छोटी सी बात को पहाड़ बनाने का फैशन है। हर तिल को ताड़ बनाने का चलन है।
RAHUL WILL NOT APOLOGIZE
Parliament continued to remain paralyzed with both Houses adjourned till Monday due to slogan shouting by members from both sides. Both the Houses have not transacted any business since the second phase of budget session began on Monday. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had promised to clarify about his remarks on democracy that he made in Britain. BJP president J. P. Nadda on Friday demanded that Rahul must apologize for insulting India on foreign soil. The opposition is demanding a joint parliamentary probe into Adani controversy. Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that “it will be a test of democracy whether I am allowed to respond to allegations made by four ministers, or whether I am told to shut up. ..The tamasha (spectacle) around me is a diversionary tactic and the government does not want to answer questions about the nature of relationship between PM Modi and industrialist Gautam Adani”. For the last nine years, Rahul had been alleging how Ambani and Adani are getting special favours. He is only repeating his allegations. It will be futile to expect an apology from him for his remarks about Indian democracy in Britain. When media personnel asked him about his “democracy” remarks, Rahul said, he would like to speak inside Parliament first. But he probably forgot that BJP has raised and will continue to raise this issue outside Parliament too. It is, therefore, a foregone conclusion that Rahul is not going to apologize for his remarks.
SISODIA IN JAIL
Former Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody was extended for five days by a Delhi court after Enforcement Directorate sought extension alleging he had destroyed his cell phones and needs to be confronted before other accused. Meanwhile, on Thursday, CBI registered an FIR against Sisodia for alleged irregularities in Delhi government’s Feedback Unit set up in 2015. In its FIR, CBI alleged that the Feedback Unit was created to collect sensitive intelligence about politicians, and the Home Ministry had given approval to prosecute Sisodia for ‘political snooping’. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal promptly tweeted: “PM’s plan is to slap several false cases against Manish and keep him in custody for a long period. Sad for the country!”. It is true the amount of corruption in this case is small. Seventeen posts in FBU were filled, and only Rs 2.5 lakh each was paid to two private companies out of a total budget of Rs 1 crore. The amount may be small, but the allegation of ‘political snooping’ is serious. If CBI comes forth with concrete evidence and proves its charges in court, Kejriwal could face legal and political difficulties. Leaders against whom snooping was ordered were not from BJP or Congress, but from Aam Aadmi Party. If the charges are proved, the message will go out that Kejriwal does not trust his own people and he snoops on them.
TEJASHWI YADAV AND CBI
CBI had summoned Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav for questioning on Thursday, but instead of appearing, his lawyer went to Delhi High Court and promised that he would appear before CBI on March 25. RJD leaders said Tejashwi is not afraid of being arrested, while CBI advocate said he is needed for questioning because the agency wants to show him some documents. BJP leader Sushil Modi said, Tejashwi will not be spared, no matter what excuse he gives. “He must tell CBI how he amassed crores worth properties at the age of 23”, Sushil Modi said. While BJP claims the probe against Lalu’s family as a watertight case of corruption, RJD is portraying this as an emotional issue about a sick and old politician like Lalu Prasad being harassed by the agency. Tejashwi, in his defence says, his father Lalu was Railway Minister till 2009, and at that time, he did not even grow moustache and beard. “How can I indulge in corruption at that age?”, he says. It is now up to the CBI to prove in court whether a scam did take place or not. But at this moment, visuals of Lalu sitting in a wheelchair and appearing in court, may hurt the feelings of people in Bihar, and Tejashwi may reap some advantage.
MEHBOOBA OFFERS WATER TO SHIVLING
Former Jammu & Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti is drawing flak from Muslim clerics for offering water to Shivling at the Navagraha temple in Poonch district. While BJP leader Ravinder Raina praised her, several Muslim clerics said, what she has done is not permitted in Islam. Mehbooba said, “I visited the temple because it was built by our PDP party leader Yashpal Sharma…I know what is Islam, and I don’t need any Maulana to teach me. It is my personal choice and there is no need to debate.” I do not understand why so much hullabaloo is being created over this. I have seen former CM Dr Farooq Abdullah praying several times at the Shankaracharya temple in Srinagar. I was present and I offered prayer with him at the temple. I have heard Farooq Abdullah singing bhajans for Lord Ram. During those days, nobody made it an issue, but times have changed. A small matter is being blown out of proportion.
संसद में चार दिनों से कामकाज ठप
संसद के दोनों सदनों में पक्ष और विपक्ष की ओर से हो रही नारेबाजी के कारण पिछले चार दिनों से कामकाज ठप है। राहुल गांधी के ‘लोकतंत्र पर हमले’ वाले बयान को देश का अपमान बताते हुए बीजेपी उनसे माफी की मांग कर रही है, वहीं सभी विपक्षी दल अडानी विवाद की जांच के लिए संयुक्त संसदीय समिति के गठन की मांग कर रहे हैं । बृहस्पतिवार को राहुल गांधी पहली बार संसद पहुंचे और उन्होंने कहा कि अगर उन्हें अनुमति दी जाए तो वे इसपर कुछ बोलना चाहेंगे । अहम बात यह है कि राहुल गांधी ने ब्रिटेन में लोकतंत्र का गला घोंटने की बात करके और संसद में बोलने से रोकने का इल्जाम लगाकर बीजेपी को एक बड़ा मुद्दा दे दिया है । अब विरोधी दलों के नेताओं को लग रहा है कि राहुल के चक्कर में उनका नुकसान हो गया है । अडानी के नाम पर उन्होंने जो कैंपेन खड़ा किया था उसकी हवा निकलती जा रही है । इस समय हालत ये है कि दोनों पक्ष संसद और मीडिया का इस्तेमाल एक-दूसरे पर हावी होने के लिए कर रहे हैं। दोनों जनता के सामने साबित करना चाहते हैं कि मेरी कमीज़ तुम्हारी कमीज़ से ज्यादा सफेद है । इस चक्कर में संसद का काम ठप पड़ा है। ये जनता के पैसे की बर्बादी है ।
अदालत में व्हीलचेयर पर लालू
राष्ट्रीय जनता दल के सुप्रीमो लालू प्रसाद बुधवार को ‘जमीन के बदले नौकरी’ मामले में दिल्ली की एक अदालत में पेश हुए । वे व्हीलचेयर पर बैठकर पत्नी राबड़ी देवी और बेटी मीसा भारती के साथ अदालत पहुंचे । अदालत ने लालू, राबड़ी और मीसा समेत सभी 15 आरोपियों को जमानत दे दी । इस मामले की अगली सुनवाई 29 मार्च को होगी । लालू को जमानत की खबर मिलते ही आरजेडी के खेमे में जश्न का माहौल बन गया । ऐसा लग रहा था मानो लालू प्रसाद की जीत हो गई है । चूंकि इस मामले में लालू यादव समेत किसी भी आरोपी को सीबीआई ने जांच के दौरान गिरफ्तार नहीं किया जबकि चार्जशीट भी फाइल हो चुकी है, इसलिए अदालत ने इन्हें जमानत दे दी । सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कई फैसले हैं जिसमें साफ-साफ कहा गया है कि अगर जांच के दौरान गिरफ्तारी नहीं हुई हो और चार्जशीट फाइल हो चुकी हो तो कुछ कानूनों के तहत दर्ज हुए केसों को छोड़ कर बाकी मामलों में आरोपी को जमानत मिलनी चाहिए । इस केस का मेरिट कुछ भी हो लेकिन जिसने भी लालू को मास्क लगाए व्हील चेयर पर बैठकर अदालत में जाते देखा, उसकी सहानूभूति लालू के साथ होगी । सब जानते हैं कि लालू सिंगापुर के एक अस्पताल से किडनी का ट्रांसप्लांट करवा कर लौटे हैं। उनका इम्युनिटी लेवल कम है। ऐसे मरीज को भीड़भाड़ में जाने से इन्फेक्शन का खतरा रहता है । इसलिए अगर लालू को अदालत में नहीं बुलाया गया होता तो बेहतर होता । राजनीति अपनी जगह है लेकिन मेडिकल कंडीशन को देखते हुए लालू को ये रियायत दी जानी चाहिए थी ।
महाराष्ट्र में किसान परेशान
महाराष्ट्र में एक ओर जहां पुरानी पेंशन योजना बहाल करने की मांग को लेकर सरकारी कर्मचारी पिछले तीन दिनों से अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर हैं, वहीं दूसरी ओर हजारों किसान, आशा कार्यकर्ता और आदिवासी करीब 200 किमी लंबे मार्च पर हैं । यह मार्च डिंडोरी से शुरू हुआ और नासिक होते हुए मुंबई पहुंचेगा । ये लोग प्याज उगानेवाले किसानों के लिए प्रति क्विंटल 600 रुपये सब्सिडी, 12 घंटे लगातार बिजली आपूर्ति और कृषि लोन माफ करने की मांग कर रहे हैं । ये बात सही है कि महाराष्ट्र में किसानों को उनकी फसल की सही कीमत नहीं मिल रही है। कुछ दिन पहले मैंने आपको ‘आज की बात’ शो में दिखाया था कि लासलगांव में एक किसान को 512 किलो प्याज के बदले सिर्फ 2 रुपए 49 पैसे का चेक मिला जबकि मार्केट में प्याज 25 रुपए किलो बिक रहा है । ये स्थिति ठीक नहीं है । हालांकि महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने प्याज पर प्रति क्विटंल 300 रुपए की सब्सिडी दी है लेकिन ये नाकाफी है । क्योंकि किसानों का कहना है कि एक क्विटंल प्याज उगाने पर करीब 12 सौ रुपए का खर्चा आता है । इसी तरह आलू, टमाटर और लहसुन उगाने वाले किसान भी परेशान हैं । इसलिए सरकार को इस तरफ ध्यान देना चाहिए । पिछले एक महीने से ज्यादा वक्त से किसान विभिन्न मंचों से अपनी बात उठा रहे थे। अगर एकनाथ शिन्दे की सरकार पहले ही किसानों से बात करती और कोई रास्ता निकालती तो किसानों को सड़क पर आने की जरूरत ही नहीं पड़ती । लेकिन लगता है कि एकनाथ शिंदे का ज्यादा ध्यान अभी भी उद्धव ठाकरे की सेना को तोड़ने में लगा है । वे रोज किसी ना किसी लीडर को अपनी पार्टी में शामिल कराते हैं और इस उपलब्धि पर खुश होते रहते हैं । लेकिन इस चक्कर में नुकसान जनता का हो रहा है ।
PARLIAMENT STALLED
Work in both Houses of Parliament has been stalled for the last four days due to sloganeering from both sides. While BJP is demanding Rahul Gandhi’s apology for insulting India by making ‘democracy under attack’ remarks, the opposition is demanding a joint parliamentary committee probe into Adani controversy.. Rahul Gandhi came to Parliament for the first time on Thursday and said he would like to speak if allowed to do so inside the House. The moot point is, by making ‘democracy under threat’ remarks in Britain, Rahul Gandhi has given BJP a big issue. Several opposition leaders feel that Rahul’s remarks have taken the wind out of their sail, because they had been raising the Adani group issue for more than a month. The situation now is that both the sides are now using Parliament and media for their one-upmanship. Both sides want to project themselves as ‘clean’ before the people. As a result, work in Parliament has come to a standstill, and public money is being squandered.
LALU IN A WHEELCHAIR IN COURT
On Wednesday, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, sitting in a wheelchair, along with wife Rabri Devi and daughter Misa Bharati appeared in a Delhi court in the ‘land-for-jobs’ scam. The court granted bail to all 15 accused including the above three. The next hearing will be on March 29. There was celebration in the RJD camp in Patna as if Lalu Prasad has won the case. Since CBI did not arrest Lalu or any other accused in this case, and since chargesheet has been filed, the court granted bail. Earlier, Supreme Court had given verdicts clearly saying that if an accused is not arrested during investigation, and if chargesheet has already been filed, then the accused can be granted bail in all cases except a few. Whatever be the merits of this case, Lalu Prasad is bound to gain sympathy as he was shown wearing a mask and sitting in a wheelchair. Lalu has undergone kidney transplant in a Singapore hospital, his immunity level is low. There is risk of infection spreading if he moves in a crowd. It would have been better if he had not been summoned to appear in court. Politics apart, Lalu Prasad should have been granted exemption from appearance, given his medical condition.
MAHARASHTRA
On one hand, government employees in Maharashtra have gone on indefinite strike since the last three days demanding restoration of Old Pension Scheme, while on the other hand, thousands of farmers, ASHA workers and tribals are on a 200-km-long march from Dindori, Nashik, to Mumbai. They are demanding Rs 600 per quintal for onion growers, 12 hour continuous power supply and waiver of farm loans. Farmers in Maharashtra are not getting remunerative prices for their crops. In my ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ show, I had shown how a farmer got a cheque of only Rs 2.49 paise after selling 512 kg onion in Lasalgaon market. On the other hand, onion is being sold at Rs 25 a kg to consumers. The Rs 300 per quintal subsidy proposed by the state government to onion growers is inadequate. Farmers say, it costs nearly Rs 1,200 to grow and transport one quintal of onion. Similarly, potato, tomato and garlic growers are also facing problems. Government must pay attention to their grievances. The farmers had been raising their problems for more than a month. Had the Shinde government spoken to them, they would not have marched to Mumbai. It appears, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is busy breaking away leaders from Uddhav Thackeray camp. In the process, the common people are facing problems.

लाहौर में पिछले दो दिनों से ज़मां पार्क के पास इमरान खान को लेकर हाईवोल्टेज ड्रामा जारी है। इमरान खान के समर्थकों के साथ पाकिस्तानी रेंजर्स और पुलिस की कई बार हिंसक झड़पें हो चुकी है। ज़मां पार्क में इमरान खान के घर के बाहर जमा कई हज़ार समर्थकों की भीड़ कल से डेरा डाले हुए है और पुलिस अफसरों को घर के अन्दर नहीं जाने दे रही है। भीड़ ने पुलिस पर कई बार पथराव किया और पुलिस ने आंसू गैस के गोले दागे। कम से कम 54 पुलिसवाले और 8 नागरिक घायल हुए हैं। मंगलवार रात और बुधवार सुबह फिर झड़पें हुई। इमरान खान अपने घर में ही छिपे रहे। पुलिस तोशखाना मामले में कोर्ट के गिरफ्तारी वारंट को तामील करने के लिए इमरान खान को गिरफ्तार करना चाहती है। इमरान खान के वकीलों ने गिरफ्तारी वारंट को रद्द कराने के लिए इस्लामाबाद हाई कोर्ट में अर्ज़ी दी है। इमरान खान जानते हैं कि पाकिस्तान में कोई सिस्टम नहीं है। लोगों को अपने हुक्मरां पर भरोसा नहीं है और सियासत करने वालों को अदालतों पर भरोसा नहीं रहा। सबको लगता है कि सारी ताकत फौज के हाथ में है और आजकल फौज इमरान खान के खिलाफ है। जिस फौज ने इमरान को प्रधानमंत्री बनाया, उसी ने इमरान को कुर्सी से उतारा। अब इमरान और फौज आमने-सामने हैं। और ये कोई छुपी हुई बात नहीं है। पाकिस्तान में सब कुछ खुले आम होता है । इसीलिए इमरान अदालत में हाज़िर नहीं हुए और कोर्ट को उनके खिलाफ वारंट जारी करना पड़ा । इमरान ने अपने समर्थकों से कहा है कि अगर उन्हें जेल में डाला गया तो वे सड़कों पर जंग के लिए तैयार रहें। अब शहबाज़ शरीफ की सरकार है तो इमरान को जेल भेजने की तैयारी हो रही है और समर्थक सड़कों पर लड़ेंगे। जब इमरान प्रधानमंत्री थे तो नवाज शरीफ जेल में थे और उनके समर्थक सड़कों पर उतरे थे । कुल मिलाकर यही पाकिस्तान की सियासत है। पाकिस्तान इस वक्त बड़े आर्थिक संकट से गुजर रहा है । जनता महंगाई से त्रस्त है, लेकिन जनता की फिक्र न पहले किसी को थी और न अब किसी को है।
बिहार विधानसभा में माइक भंग
बिहार विधानसभा में एक बीजेपी विधायक लखेंद्र कुमार रौशन ने मंगलवार को प्रश्नकाल के दौरान अपने माइक को तोड़ दिया। उन्होंने आंगनवाड़ी में काम करने वाली महिलाओं के बारे में तीन पूरक सवाल पूछे और वह चौथा सवाल पूछना चाहते थे। लेकिन स्पीकर ने उन्हें इसकी इजाजत नहीं दी और उनका माइक म्यूट कर दिया गया । गुस्से में विधायक ने माइक तोड़ दिया । इस आचरण के लिए उन्हें सदन से दो दिन के लिए निलंबित कर दिया गया । तस्वीरों में साफ दिखाई दिया कि बीजेपी के विधायक गुस्से में आकर माइक तोड़ रहे थे। अगर वे अपनी गलती मान लेते तो बात इतनी न बढ़ती। उन्होंने पहले माइक तोड़ा फिर अपनी गलती पर पर्दा डालने की कोशिश की। एक झूठ को छुपाने के लिए सौ झूठ बोलने पड़ते हैं । उनके चक्कर में बीजेपी ने भी स्टैंड ले लिया और सदन से वॉकआउट किया । बीजेपी विधायकों ने जमकर नारेबाज़ी की । इसकी जरूरत नहीं थी । पार्टी के सीनियर नेताओं को अपने विधायक को समझाना चाहिए था और मामले को खत्म करने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए थी ।
ऑस्कर : उत्तर बनाम दक्षिण ?
भारतीय फिल्म ‘आरआरआर’ के गाने ‘नाटू-नाटू’ और शॉर्ट डॉक्यूमेंट्री ‘द एलिफेंट व्हिस्परर्स’ को ऑस्कर अवॉर्ड मिलने पर राज्य सभा में खुशी जताई गई और सदस्यों ने बधाई दी । दो दर्जन से ज्यादा नेताओं ने अपनी बात रखी । सदन के नेता पीयूष गोयल ने सबसे पहले बात शुरू की। उन्होंने ‘नाटू-नाटू’ और ‘द एलिफेंट विस्पर्स’ की टीम को बधाई दी। पीयूष गोयल के बाद विपक्ष के नेता मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे ने कहा कि ‘नाटू-नाटू’ और ‘द एलीफेंट व्हिस्परर्स’ को ऑस्कर मिलना वाकई में बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि है लेकिन उन्होने ये भी कहा कि अब ऐसा न हो कि इसका क्रेडिट बीजेपी के लोग प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी को देने लगें । खरगे ने कहा कि ये ध्यान रखना भी जरूरी है कि ऑस्कर जीतने वाले दक्षिण भारत के हैं । खरगे के इस बयान पर जया बच्चन ने गुस्से में आकर कहा- ‘इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि वे कहां से हैं, उत्तर से हैं या दक्षिण से हैं, पूरब से हैं या पश्चिम से हैं । वे भारतीय हैं । मैं यहां अपनी फिल्म बिरादरी के लिए गर्व और सम्मान के साथ खड़ी हूं, जिन्होंने कई बार देश का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और कई पुरस्कार जीते । सिनेमा का बाजार यहां है, अमेरिका में नहीं है । यह तो एक शुरूआत है।’ जया बच्चन की बात सही है कि फिल्म के अवॉर्ड को उत्तर या दक्षिण में नहीं बांटा जाना चाहिए और न ही इसे बीजेपी-कांग्रेस का सवाल बनाना चाहिए । ये अच्छी बात है कि एक दिन के बाद ही सही लेकिन कम से कम 94 साल में पहली बार ऑस्कर जीतने वालों को राज्यसभा में बधाई तो दी गई।
बंटा हुआ विपक्ष
बुधवार को 18 विपक्षी दलों के सांसदों ने दिल्ली में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय दफ्तर की ओर मार्च किया लेकिन पुलिस ने बैरिकेड्स लगाकर उन्हें रास्ते में ही रोक दिया । तृणमूल कांग्रेस के सांसद इस मार्च में शामिल नहीं हुए । इसी तरह मंगलवार को जब विपक्षी सांसदों ने अडानी विवाद की जेपीसी जांच की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन किया, तो वे बंटे हुए नजर आए । कांग्रेस की तमाम कोशिशों के बावजूद, विपक्षी खेमे में एकजुटता नहीं दिखी । कांग्रेस सांसदों ने पार्लियामेंट गेट के बाहर अलग प्रदर्शन किया तो तृणमूल कांग्रेस ने महात्मा गांधी की मूर्ति के बाहर अलग से प्रदर्शन किया । वहीं आम आदमी पार्टी और भारत राष्ट्र समिति के सांसदों ने ईडी के छापों और दिल्ली शराब घोटाले को लेकर प्रदर्शन किया। सभी विपक्षी नेता यह मानते हैं कि अलग-अलग रहकर मोदी का मुकाबला करना नामुमकिन है । फिर भी एक ही मुद्दे पर एक ही जगह पर कांग्रेस., तृणमूल कांग्रेस, बीआरएस और आम आदमी पार्टी ने तीन अलग-अलग जगहों पर प्रदर्शन किया । स्पष्ट है कि विपक्षी एकता में कमी नजर आ रही है । इसकी वजह भी साफ है । मोदी के डर से सब एक साथ आने की बात तो कहते हैं लेकिन जैसे ही यह सवाल आता है कि मोदी की जगह प्रधानमंत्री पद का दावेदार किसे बनाया जाय, तो आपस में झग़ड़ा शुरू हो जाता है । कांग्रेस राहुल गांधी को नेता बनाना चाहती है जबकि तृणमूल कांग्रेस चाहती है कि मोदी विरोधी मोर्चे की अगुआई ममता बनर्जी करें। के. चन्द्रशेखर राव भी अपनी दावेदारी पेश कर चुके हैं और अरविंद केजरीवाल तो खुद को मोदी का सबसे बेहतर विकल्प मानते हैं । स्वाभाविक रूप से झगड़ा कुर्सी का है और ये बार-बार दिखाई दे रहा है।
WILL IMRAN KHAN BE ARRESTED?
The tug-of-war in Lahore between Pakistan Rangers, police and Imran Khan’s supporters continued for the second day amidst high-voltage drama on Wednesday. There were pitched battles outside the former PM’s residence in Lahore’s Zaman Park, with mobs stoning police, and the latter firing tear gas shells. At least 54 policemen and eight civilians were injured in clashes. There were clashes during the night and again on Wednesday morning, while Imran Khan was holed up inside his fortified residence. Police wants to arrest Imran Khan in order to comply with court’s arrest warrant in the Toshakhana case. Imran Khan’s lawyers have filed a petition in Islamabad High Court seeking quashing of arrest warrant. Former PM Imran Khan is very much aware that there is presently no system worth the name working in Pakistan, and majority of the citizens do not have any faith in law courts. Most Pakistanis feel, the real power lies with the army, and Imran Khan is fighting against the Army. It was the army which helped Imran Khan to become PM, and the army later unseated him. Both Imran and the army are now locked in close combat. This is no secret. In Pakistan, most developments take place in the open. That is why Imran Khan continues to defy and refuse to appear in court despite issue of production warrant. Imran Khan has told his supporters to fight in the streets if he is put in jail. When Imran was PM, Nawaz Sharif was put in jail and Sharif’s supporters were out in the streets. This is what Pakistan politics is all about. Neither sides have no empathy for the public, which is groaning under price rise and is staring at economic disaster.
BREAKING MIKE IN BIHAR ASSEMBLY
A BJP MLA Lakhendra Kumar Raushan on Tuesday broke his mike during question hour inside Bihar assembly. He had asked three supplementary questions on Anganwadi workers, and wanted to ask a fourth question, but was disallowed. The Speaker did not allow him, and his mike was kept on mute. In the heat of anger, the MLA broke his mike. Later, the House suspended him for two days for this gross misconduct. The video clearly showed Raushan breaking his mike in anger. Had he pleaded guilty, the matter could have rested, but he later tried to cover up his mistake. BJP MLAs tried to defend him and staged walkout. It would have been better if senior party leaders had tried to persuade him to tender apology.
OSCARS: NORTH VS SOUTH?
On a day, when Rajya Sabha members, led by Leader of the House Piyush Goyal, were congratulating the composer and directors of ‘RRR’ and ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ for winning Oscar awards, the leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge said, “It must not happen that BJP members start giving credit to Narendra Modi for this. We should also remember that the Oscar winners are from South India.” An angry Jaya Bachchan rose up and said, “it doesn’t matter where they are from: North, East, South or West. They are Indians. I stand here with pride and respect for our film fraternity who have represented our country many times and won many awards…The market of cinema is here, it is not in America. This is just the beginning.” Jaya Bachchan is right when she says film award winners should not be categorized into North and South. Nor should it be categorized into Congress or BJP. It is a historic moment that Indian film makers have won Oscars after 94 years, and the Upper House of Parliament congratulated them.
A DIVIDED OPPOSITION
On Wednesday, MPs from 18 opposition parties marched towards Enforcement Directorate office in Delhi, but were stopped on the way by police, which has put barricades. Trinamool Congress MPs did not join this march. Similarly, on Tuesday, while opposition MPs staged protests demanding JPC probe into Adani controversy, they appeared to be divided. Congress MPs staged protest outside Parliament gate, Trinamool Congress MPs sat in protest outside Gandhi statue, while AAP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi MPs sat in protest against ED raids and arrests in the Delhi liquor scam. While all the opposition leaders agree that it is impossible to counter the BJP if they remain divided, protests at three different places clearly underline lack of opposition unity. Though opposition leaders try to put up a united face out of fear of Narendra Modi, bickerings start when the question arises about the PM candidate. Congress leaders want Rahul Gandhi to become the PM candidate, while TMC wants Mamata Banerjee to lead the opposition front. Telangana CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao has also put forth his claim. Arvind Kejriwal considers himself to be the best alternative to Narendra Modi. Naturally, the fight is over the throne, and lack of unity in opposition camp appears again and again.
दो ऑस्कर अवार्ड : उल्लास से भरा दिन
सोमवार का दिन भारतीयों के लिए खुशियों से भरा रहा। भारतीय फिल्म इंडस्ट्री ने दो ऑस्कर अवॉर्ड जीते। पहला सर्वश्रेष्ठ ऑरिजिनल गीत का पुरस्कार ‘नाटू-नाटू’ को मिला जबकि दूसरा अवार्ड शॉर्ट डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म ‘द एलिफेंट व्हिस्परर्स’ को मिला। ‘नाटू -नाटू’ गाना मूल रूप से तेलुगू में है और इसे एस.एस. राजामौली की मूवी ‘आरआरआर’ के लिये फिल्माया गया है। इस गाने के संगीतकार हैं एम.एम. किरवानी । ऑस्कर पुरस्कार समारोह में इस गाने का परफॉर्मेंस भी हुआ। फिल्म स्टार दीपिका पादुकोण ने इसके परफॉर्मेंस का स्टेज से ऐलान किया। अपने बेहतरीन म्यूजिक और डांस से इस गाने ने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। वहीं कार्तिकी गोंज़ाल्विस द्वारा निर्देशित और गुनीत मोंगा द्वारा निर्मित शॉर्ट डॉक्यूमेंट्री ‘द एलिफेंट व्हिस्परर्स’ ने भी ऑस्कर अवार्ड जीता। इस फिल्म में एक ऐसे आदिवासी परिवार का चित्रण किया गया है जिसने तमिलनाडु के अभयारण्य में हाथियों के दो अनाथ बच्चों को गोद लिया था। पहली बार भारतीय फिल्म निर्माताओं द्वारा जुड़वां ऑस्कर जीतने पर बधाइयों का तांता लग गया। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और फिल्म से जुड़ी तमाम हस्तियों ने विजेताओं को बधाई दी। ‘नाटू-नाटू’ गाने के लिए और ‘द एलिफेंट व्हिस्परर्स’ के लिए ऑस्कर मिलना हर भारतीय के लिए गर्व की बात है। ऑस्कर पूरी दुनिया में फिल्म का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे प्रतिष्ठित अवॉर्ड है। अब न तो इस बात के लिए रोना चाहिए कि अब तक हमारी फिल्मों को ये अवॉर्ड क्यों नहीं मिला और ना ही इस बात को लेकर माथा पीटना चाहिए कि अमेरिका में मिले अवॉर्ड को हम इतना महत्व क्यों दे रहे हैं? ‘नाटू नाटू’ का मतलब है ‘नाचो नाचो…’ और वाकई में फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के लिए खुशी से नाचने का दिन है। ‘नाटू-नाटू’ गाने में एक लय है, एक्शन है, जबरदस्त कोरियोग्राफी है। रामचरण और जूनियर एनटीआर के स्टेप्स पूरी दुनिया में लोकप्रिय हो गए हैं। ये कोई छोटी बात नहीं है कि सब भाषाओं में इसके वर्जन्स को मिला दिया जाए तो अब तक पूरी दुनिया में बीस करोड़ से ज्यादा लोग इस गाने को पसंद कर चुके हैं। हमें तो इस बात पर खुश होना चाहिए कि संगीत, नृत्य, सुर की और ताल की कोई बाउंड्री नहीं होती। यह एक बार फिर साबित हो गया।
संसद में हंगामा
संसद के बजट सत्र के दूसरे चरण में पिछले दो दिनों से हंगामा हो रहा है। पहले दिन, कांग्रेस और अन्य विपक्षी दलों ने अडानी मामले में जेपीसी जांच की मांग करते हुए कार्यवाही रोक दी, लेकिन बीजेपी ने लोकतंत्र के मुद्दे पर भारत को बदनाम करने के लिए राहुल गांधी से बिना शर्त माफी की मांग की। मुझे लगता है कि यह बात राहुल गांधी भी जानते हैं कि भारत में लोकतंत्र पूरी मजबूती के साथ कायम है। देश की जनता भी जानती है कि यहां किसी के बोलने पर ना तो कोई पाबंदी है और ना कोई पाबंदी लगा सकता है। 1975 में इंदिरा गांधी ने इमरजेंसी लगाकर बोलने की आजादी पर रोक लगाई थी, उसका नतीजा पूरी दुनिया ने देखा। 1977 के चुनाव में जनता ने इमरजेंसी लगाने वाली, तानाशाही कायम करने वाली सरकार को उखाड़ फेंका था। इसलिए अब कोई भी नेता कभी भी अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता, बोलने की आजादी छीनने की हिम्मत नहीं करेगा। लंदन में राहुल गांधी ने यह बात कहकर बड़ी राजनीतिक गलती कर दी कि भारत में लोकतंत्र खतरे में है। उन्होंने बीजेपी को एक अच्छा खासा मुद्दा दे दिया जिसके आधार पर बीजेपी आसानी से कांग्रेस को घेर सकती है। कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने दूसरे पार्टियों के नेताओं के साथ मिलकर अडानी के सवाल पर सरकार को बचाव की मुद्रा में ला दिया था, पर राहुल ने मौका दिया और बीजेपी ने बाजी पलट दी। अब कांग्रेस बचाव की मुद्रा में है। बाकी पार्टियों के नेता आधे मन से राहुल के लोकतंत्र वाले बयान का समर्थन कर रहे हैं। और कांग्रेस भी किसी तरह अडानी वाले मुद्दे को जिंदा रखने की कोशिश में लगी है। कांग्रेस, नरेन्द्र मोदी के खिलाफ माहौल बनाने की पूरी कोशिश कर रही है और यह विरोधी दल के तौर पर यह उसका दायित्व भी है। अडानी को लेकर कांग्रेस नरेंद्र मोदी को घेरती रही है लेकिन अडानी पर इन बातों का कोई असर नहीं दिखाई दिया। उल्टा अडानी ग्रुप्स के स्टॉक्स में जबरदस्त तेजी देखने को मिली। अडानी ने रविवार ऐलान किया था कि उन्होंने 2.65 बिलियन डॉलर्स के लोन को चुका दिया है। इसका असर ये हुआ कि अडानी के निवेशकों के रुख में बदलाव आया और अडानी के स्टॉक्स में रौनक दिखाई दी।
उद्धव को झटका
इन दिनों संकट से गुजर रहे शिवसेना (ठाकरे ग्रुप) के प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे को सोमवार को एक और झटका लगा। उद्धव के करीबी सहयोगी सुभाष देसाई के बेटे भूषण देसाई ने एकनाथ शिंदे की शिवसेना का दामन थाम लिया। सुभाष देसाई की हैसियत इस वक्त उद्धव गुट में नंबर दो की है। उद्धव, सुभाष देसाई की सलाह को तवज्जो देते हैं इसलिए सुभाष देसाई के बेटे का एकनाथ शिन्दे के साथ जाना उद्धव के लिए बड़ा झटका है। अब आदित्य यह कहें कि भूषण देसाई से कोई लेना-देना नहीं हैं, भूषण देसाई पर पहले से भ्रष्टाचार के इल्जाम है तो ये बातें बेमानी हैं। अगर भूषण देसाई घोटाले का आरोपी है तो अब तक उसे पार्टी से क्यों नहीं निकाला था? इस मामले पर सुभाष देसाई का बयान भी आया है। सुभाष देसाई का कहना है कि उनका बेटा सक्रिय राजनीति में नहीं था इसलिए वो किस पार्टी में जाता है इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ेगा। लेकिन इतना तय है कि उनकी निष्ठा, ठाकरे परिवार के साथ थी, है और रहेगी।
DAY TO REJOICE: TWO OSCARS
Indians across the world rejoiced on Monday when our film industry won two Oscar awards – one for Best Original Song and the other for Best Documentary Short film. The irresistibly catchy and popular Telugu film song ‘Naatu Naatu’, with its electrifying dance moves, from S. S. Rajamouli’s movie ‘RRR’, was composed by M. M. Keeravaani. The dance song swept the audience, with actor Deepika Padukone making the introduction. The documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, won the Oscar for its portrayal of a tribal family which adopted two orphan baby elephants in a Tamil Nadu forest reserve. Plaudits came in from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and from all top-notch film celebrities for the Oscar winners. The Oscar award is considered the world’s most prestigious film award. The twin awards have silenced those naysayers who have been cribbing about Indian films unable to win Oscars till date. The awards have also silenced those who were questioning why we give too much importance to Oscar awards. ‘Naatu Naatu’ means ‘dance, dance’ and it is a day to rejoice and dance. The dance sequence has a nice rhythm, wonderful choreography and Junior NTR and Ram Charan Teja won the hearts of people with their precise dance steps. More than 20 crore people across the world have watched this dance sequence dubbed in different languages. We in India should be happy that an Indian dance song has won encomiums crossing all bars of language. It once again proves dance, rhythm and music have no boundaries.
UPROAR IN PARLIAMENT
Parliament has been witnessing uproar for the last two days of the second phase of its Budget session. On the first day, Congress and other opposition parties stalled the proceedings demanding JPC probe into Adani issue, but BJP turned the tables by demanding unconditional apology from Rahul Gandhi for denigrating India on the issue of democracy. I think even Rahul Gandhi is very much aware that democracy continues to remain strong in India today. People in India are also aware that there is no ban on speech and expression, nor can anyone dare to impose such a ban. In 1975, Indira Gandhi had imposed censorship during Emergency, and the world has seen its consequences. The people of India uprooted the authoritarian regime during the general elections of 1977. No leader can now dare to curb freedom of speech and expression. Rahul Gandhi made a big blunder by saying in UK that democracy is under threat in India. He has given BJP a handle on which it can corner the Congress. Congress leaders along with other opposition leaders had put the Centre on defensive on Adani issue, but Rahul, by raising the issue of democracy, has allowed BJP to turn the tables. Leaders of other opposition parties are half-heartedly supporting Rahul on his ‘democracy’ remarks, while Congress is trying to hard to keep the Adani issue alive. As the main opposition, Congress has the right to create an atmosphere against Narendra Modi, but at the bourses, shares of Adani group companies have regained past losses. Adani group had announced on Sunday it has repaid $ 2.56 billion loan and it had a positive impact at the stock exchanges.
UDDHAV GETS A JOLT
Uddhav Thackeray, the embattled chief of Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) got a jolt when his close aide Subhash Desai’s son Bhushan Desai joined the BJP on Monday. Subhash Desai is presently at No. 2 position in Uddhav Thackeray’s party. Uddhav gives much importance to Subhash Desai’s advice. Even if Uddhav’s son Aditya Thackeray may say that the party has nothing to do with Subhash Desai’s son, because there are corruption charges against him, such a logic has no basis. If Bhushan Desai was facing corruption charges, why was he not thrown out of Thackeray’s party? Subhash Desai, in a statement, has said that his son was never in active politics, and therefore, it won’t matter which party he joins. Subhash Desai says, his loyalty to Thackeray family will continue.

बुधवार को देशभर में रंगों की बारिश हुई। लोगों ने पूरे जोश और उमंग के साथ होली मनाई। होली का जोश नेताओं में भी दिखा। राजनीतिक दलों और बड़े-बड़े नेताओं ने होली के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए। इन कार्यक्रमों में होली के रंग के अलावा सियासत और डिप्लोमेसी के रंग भी दिखे। दिल्ली में राजनाथ सिंह ने अपने घर पर होली मिलन का कार्यक्रम रखा और इसमें अमेरिका की कॉमर्स सेक्रेट्री जीना रायमोंडो भी शामिल हुई। उन्होंने ‘आज बिरज में होली रे रसिया’ गीत की धुन पर डांस किया। उन्होंने अपने साथ राजनाथ सिंह को भी डांस कराया। विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर और वाणिज्य मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने ताली बजाई। इस होली मिलन समारोह में जी-20 देशों के ज्यादातर मंत्रियों ने हिस्सा लिया। राजनाथ सिंह ने जीना रायमोंडो को एक दिग्गज राजनीतिज्ञ बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि जीना होली समारोह को लेकर उत्सुक थीं इसलिए मैंने उन्हें यहां आमंत्रित किया। रायमोंडो चार दिनों की यात्रा पर भारत आई हैं और वह भारत-अमेरिका वाणिज्यिक वार्ता और सीईओ फोरम में हिस्सा लेंगी। अमेरिका के वाणिज्य विभाग ने कहा, उनकी यात्रा का उद्देश्य दोनों देशों के बीच ‘व्यापार और निवेश के नए अवसरों को खोलना है’। भारत और अमेरिका हिंद-प्रशांत आर्थिक ढांचे का हिस्सा हैं। पीयूष गोयल ने कहा भारत और अमेरिका एक-दूसरे के नेचुरल सहयोगी हैं। हमारा एजेंडा संभावनाओं से भरा है और हम एक सुरक्षित इंडो-पैसेफिक (हिंद-प्रशांत) के लिए मिलकर काम कर रहे हैं। रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह बहुत रिजर्व रहने वाले इंसान हैं लेकिन जब जीना रायमोंडो ने उनसे डांस करने का आग्रह किया तब पहली बार वे कैमरे के सामने थिरकते हुए नजर आए।
केजरीवाल, सिसोदिया और तिहाड़ जेल
जब पूरा देश होली खेल रहा था, लोग रंगों से सराबोर थे, उस वक्त दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने 7 घंटे तक ध्यान किया और ‘देश के लिए प्रार्थना की।’ आम आदमी पार्टी के बाकी नेता भी दिल्ली के आबकारी घोटाला मामले में मनीष सिसोदिया की गिरफ्तारी का विरोध करने के लिए मेडिटेशन कर रहे थे। AAP नेता सौरभ भारद्वाज ने आरोप लगाया कि सिसोदिया को तिहाड़ जेल में पेशेवर अपराधियों के बीच रखा गया है, और उनकी जान को खतरा है, लेकिन जेल प्रशासन ने तुरंत ही आरोपों को सिरे से खारिज कर दिया। जेल प्रशासन ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘सिसोदिया की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखते हुए उन्हें एक अलग वॉर्ड में रखा गया है। वॉर्ड में बहुत कम कैदी हैं जो कुख्यात अपराधी नहीं हैं और उनका जेल में अच्छा आचरण है।’ यह सही है कि मनीष सिसोदिया कोई पेशेवर अपराधी नहीं हैं, उन्हें जेल में सुरक्षित वातावरण मिलना चाहिए। उनकी सेहत का भी ध्यान रखा जाना चाहिए, पर केजरीवाल के साथियों को यह तय करना होगा कि वे जेल के बारे में क्या सोचते हैं। पिछले साल नवंबर में, जब AAP के तत्कालीन मंत्री सत्येंद्र जैन का बलात्कार के एक आरोपी से मालिश कराने और जेल के अंदर शाही लंच करने के वीडियो सामने आए, तो AAP नेता मसाज को सही ठहरा रहे थे। सौरभ भारद्वाज ने तब कहा था कि जैन को जेल के अंदर सभी सुविधाएं मिलनी चाहिए। आज यही लोग कह रहे हैं कि जेल में मनीष सिसोदिया की हत्या हो सकती है। मजे की बात ये है कि जेल का प्रशासन केजरीवाल की सरकार के अंडर आता है, तो फिर उनकी शिकायत किससे है?
यूपी की जेलों में गैंगस्टर
उत्तर प्रदेश में अपराधियों की होली खौफ में बीती, क्योंकि उमेश पाल मर्डर केस के बाद पुलिस ने जबरदस्त सख्ती कर दी है। जो अपराधी अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर जेल में ऐश कर रहे थे, अब उनकी जान आफत में है। गैंगस्टर अतीक अहमद का भाई अशरफ बरेली जेल में बंद है। उसने ही अपने साले सद्दाम को बताया था कि प्रयागराज में उमेश पाल की हत्या को कैसे अंजाम दिया जाए। सद्दाम ने ही जेल में अशरफ और शूटरों की मुलाकात कराई थी। पुलिस ने अशरफ की मदद करने वाले जेल के आरक्षी शिव हरि अवस्थी और जेल में सब्जी की सप्लाई करने वाले दयाराम उर्फ नन्हे को गिऱफ्तार किया है। जांच में पता चला है कि नन्हे सब्जी की गाड़ी में मोबाइल फोन, खाने-पीने का सामान और दूसरी चीजें छिपाकर अशरफ को पहुंचाया करता था, जबकि आरक्षी अवस्थी सद्दाम के साथ 5-6 लोगों को जेल के अंदर पहुंचा देता था, फिर वे जेल के अंदर बने एक गोदाम में मीटिंग करते थे। आरोप ये भी हैं कि अशरफ, जिसका असली नाम खालिद अजीम है, जेले से ही अपने केस के गवाहों को धमकाया करता था। अशरफ के ऊपर दर्जनों मुकदमे दर्ज हैं जिनमें हत्या, हत्या की कोशिश, अपहरण, जमीन पर अवैध कब्जे और रंगदारी समेत गैंगस्टर एक्ट के तहत कई केस दर्ज हैं। अशरफ राजू पाल के मर्डर केस का मुख्य आरोपी है। अतीक के जेल जाने के बाद उसका दहशत का कारोबार अशरफ ही चला रहा था। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार की सख्ती के बावजूद पिछले 6 सालों में यूपी की जेलों के अंदर माफिया सरगनाओं का राज रहा है। अशरफ जैसे गैंगस्टर जेलों के अंदर बैठकर पूरे सिस्टम को कंट्रोल किया करते थे। यूपी की चित्रकूट जेल में गैंगस्टर मुख्तार अंसारी का विधायक बेटा अब्बास अंसारी अपनी पत्नी से जेल के कमरे में बेरोकटोक मुलाकात किया करता था। वह बाहरी लोगों से संपर्क करने के लिए व्हाट्सऐप का इस्तेमाल करता था। अचानक छापेमारी के बाद जेल अधीक्षक, जेलर, डिप्टी जेलर और वार्डन को गिरफ्तार करना पड़ा। इससे साबित होता है कि जेलों में तैनात पुलिसकर्मी, अपराधी और सप्लायर सब आपस में मिले हुए हैं। जरूरत इस बात की है कि जेल अधिकारियों और अपराधियों के इस नेक्सस को तोड़ने के लिए एक बार यूपी की सारी जेलों की जांच कराई जाए। जहां-जहां माफिया और जेल प्रशासन की मिलीभगत मिले, वहां सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए।
India’s Holi diplomacy
On Wednesday, US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo grooved to the tune of ‘Aaj Biraj Me Holi Re Rasiya’ song at a get-together at Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s residence, as External Affairs Minister S. Jayashankar and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal clapped. The Holi reception was attended by ministers from most of the G-20 countries. Rajnath Singh described Gina Raimondo as “a stalwart politician from US. She wanted to enjoy Holi celebrations, so I invited her here”. This was India’s Holi diplomacy at its best. Raimondo is on a four-day visit and she will take part in India-US Commercial Dialogue and CEO Forum. The US Commerce Department said, her visit “aims to unlock new trade and investment opportunities” between both countries. India and the US are part of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. Piyush Goyal said, India and the US “are natural allies. The agenda is full of possibilities and we are working together for a safe, secure Indo-Pacific.” Rajnath Singh, normally a reserved person, shook his legs for a few seconds, when requested by Gina Raimondo to groove with her.
KEJRIWAL, SISODIA AND TIHAR JAIL
Even as the entire nation was celebrating Holi, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal skipped Holi and sat on a seven-hour-long meditation “to pray for the country”. Other Aam Aadmi Party leaders also sat on meditation to protest the imprisonment of Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor excise scam. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj alleged that Sisodia has been kept in Tihar jail with hardened criminals, and there was threat to his life, but the jail administration promptly refuted the charge. It issued a statement saying “Sisodia has been assigned to a segregated ward keeping his security in mind. The ward has minimum number of inmates who are not gangsters and are maintaining good conduct inside the jail.” It is true, Manish Sisodia is not a professional criminal, and he should be provided a safe and secure atmosphere inside the jail. Attention must also be paid to his health, but Kejriwal’s associates must decide what they think about jail facilities. In November last year, when videos surfaced about AAP minister Satyendar Jain getting massage from a rape accused and having a sumptuous lunch inside his cell, AAP leaders were justifying the massage. Saurabh Bhardwaj had then said that Jain should get all facilities inside jail. The same leaders are now expressing fear about Sisodia’s life. Delhi’s jail administration comes under the purview of Arvind Kejriwal’s government. The question is: to whom are they addressing their complaint?
GANGSTERS IN U.P. JAILS
Gangsters in most of the jails of Uttar Pradesh spent a tense Holi on Wednesday as authorities beefed up their watch over the secret nexus between the gangsters and some corrupt jail officials. Gangster Atiq Ahmed’s brother Ashraf is lodged in Bareilly jail. It was he who briefed his brother-in-law Saddam how to carry out the murder of Umesh Pal in Prayagraj. It was Saddam who arranged a meeting between Ashraf and the shooters in jail. Police have arrested a constable Shiv Hari Awasthi and a vegetable supplier Dayaram alias Nanhe. Nanhe used to sneak inside the jail, cell phones, food and other articles meant for Ashraf, hidden in vegetable loaded vehicles. The constable Awasthi used to secretly arrange visits of five or six persons inside the jail. They used a godown for their secret rendezvous with Ashraf, who used to threaten witnesses on phone from jail. Ashraf, whose real name is Khalid Azeem, has dozens of cases like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, land grab and extortion against him. He is the main accused in Raju Pal murder case and he used to run the gang in the absence of Atiq Ahmed. During the last six years, mafia gangsters used to rule inside the jails of UP, despite strictness on part of chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s government. Gangsters like Ashraf used to control the entire system sitting inside jails. In Chitrakoot jail of UP, Abbas Ansari, MLA and son of gangster Mukhtar Ansari used to meet his wife inside a jail room without any hindrance. He used WhatsApp to contact outsiders. The jail superintendent, jailor, deputy jailor and warden had to be arrested after a sudden raid was conducted. This shows that police personnel posted in jails, criminals and suppliers were in cahoots to bypass the system. There is urgent need to carry out strict audit of all jails in UP and break the gangster-jail officials nexus. Strong action must be taken against the offenders.
राहुल गांधी और आरएसएस
कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने आरएसएस की तुलना दुनिया भर में कट्टरपंथी हिंसा के लिए बदनाम संगठन मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड से करके एक नया विवाद पैदा कर दिया है। उनका कहना है ‘आरएसएस फासिस्ट और कट्टरपंथी संगठन है जो लोकतन्त्र की मदद से सत्ता पर काबिज होकर लोकतन्त्र को ही खत्म करना चाहता है। आरएसएस को आप एक गोपनीय संगठन कह सकते हैं। इसे मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड की तर्ज पर बनाया गया है।’ इस मामले में यह समझना चाहिए कि ऐसा नहीं है कि राहुल गांधी ने इस तरह की बातें पहली बार कही है। आरएसएस, नरेंद्र मोदी, संसद और न्यायपालिका के बारे में वे इस तरह की बातें कहते रहते हैं। अगर राहुल ये बातें लंदन में नहीं दोहराते तो शायद इन पर कोई ज्यादा तवज्जो भी नहीं देता। क्योंकि जो लोग भारत में रहते हैं वे इतना तो जानते हैं कि आरएसएस क्या करता है और क्या कर सकता है।
भारत के लोग जानते हैं कि न्यायपालिका सरकार के नियंत्रण में नहीं है और राहुल गांधी को संसद में बोलने से कभी नहीं रोका जाता है। लोग जानते हैं कि राहुल ने संसद के अंदर और बाहर कितनी बार बोला। किसी ने उनका माइक बंद नहीं किया। मुझे याद है एक बार तो उन्होंने कहा था कि मुझे दस मिनट बोलने दो भूचाल आ जाएगा। इसके बाद वो आधा घंटा तक बोले लेकिन कोई भूचाल नहीं आया। हमने राहुल को राफेल, जीएसटी, किसान बिल पर बोलते सुना है। थोड़े दिन पहले हमने राहुल को पार्लियामेंट में आधा घंटे से ज्यादा कारोबारी गौतम अडानी पर बोलते देखा। अडानी के साथ मोदी की तस्वीरों को संसद में लहराते देखा लेकिन उन्हें किसी ने नहीं रोका। राहुल जब भी बोलना चाहा स्पीकर ने उन्हें बोलने का पूरा मौका दिया।
इसलिए ये समझना मुश्किल है कि राहुल ने लंदन में यह क्यों कहा कि उन्हें संसद में चर्चा नहीं करने दी जाती। उनकी जुबान बंद कर दी जाती है। या तो वो ये सोचते हैं कि लंदन में उनके सामने जो लोग बैठे थे उन्हें पता नहीं होगा कि असलिय़त क्या है? इसलिए कुछ भी बोल दो। हैरानी की बात यह है कि डिजिटल इंडिया के जमाने में कोई ऐसा कैसे सोच सकता है। लेकिन सबसे ज्यादा परेशान करने वाली बात यह थी जब राहुल ने लंदन के एक कार्यक्रम में मौजूद एक सिख भाई की तरफ इशारा करके कहा कि नरेन्द्र मोदी सिखों को दूसरे दर्जे का नागरिक समझते हैं। मोदी विरोध में राहुल को यह नहीं भूलना चाहिए था कि ऐसे बयानों का फायदा भारत विरोधी ताकतें उठाएंगी। ऐसे बयान का इस्तेमाल वे भारत में लोगों की भावनाओं को भड़काने के लिए करेंगे। राहुल गांधी को ऐसी बातें बोलने से बचना चाहिए।
सीबीआई और लालू प्रसाद
बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और राष्ट्रीय जनता दल के सुप्रीमो लालू प्रसाद से मंगलवार को सीबीआई आधिकारियों ने दिल्ली में करीब पांच घंटे तक पूछताछ की। यह पूछताछ ‘नौकरी के बदले जमीन’ लेने के केस में हुई। लालू यादव बीमार हैं। हाल में वे सिंगापुर से किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट करवा कर लौटे हैं और डॉक्टरों ने मिलनेवालों पर पाबंदिया लगाई हुई हैं। ऐसे में उनसे पूछताछ कुछ दिन बाद होती तो बेहतर होता। लेकिन इस केस के बारे में यह कहना गलत होगा कि बिहार में नीतीश कुमार की जनता दल यूनाइटेड के साथ गठबंधन की सरकार बनने के कारण मोदी सरकार ने लालू को घेरने की कोशिश की। यह मामला तब सामने आया जब जद (यू) नेता ललन सिंह ने सीबीआई से इसकी शिकायत की। उस वक्त डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह प्रधानमंत्री थे। अब ना तेजस्वी ललन सिंह से पूछेंगे कि उन्होंने लालू के खिलाफ यह शिकायत क्यों की थी और न ललन सिंह अब लालू यादव पर भ्रष्टाचार का इल्जाम लगाएंगे। क्योंकि दोनों दल अब हाथ मिला चुके हैं। इसके उलट ललन सिंह अब कहेंगे कि लालू के साथ ज्यादती हो रही है और सरकार जांच एजेंसियों का दुरुपयोग कर रही है।
अशोक गहलोत और शहीदों की विधवाएं
राजस्थान में अशोक गहलोत की सरकार पुलवामा के शहीदों की विधवाएं (वीरांगनाओं) के साथ बदसलूकी को लेकर घिर गई है। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने इस मामले को गंभीरता से लिया है। रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने इस मामले में मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत से बात करके दोषी पुलिस वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई करने को कहा है और शहीदों के परिवारों से किए गए वादों को तुरंत पूरा करने का आग्रह किया है। बड़ी बात यह है कि कांग्रेस नेता सचिन पायलट ने भी वही बात कही जो राजनाथ सिंह कह रहे हैं। सचिन पायलट ने पुलवामा के शहीदों के परिवार वालों से मुलाकात की और मुख्यमंत्री को चिट्ठी लिखकर शहीदों के परिजनों के साथ मारपीट करने वाले पुलिस अफसरों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की।
वीरांगनाओं के साथ, शहीदों के परिजनों के साथ राजस्थान की पुलिस ने जिस तरह का सलूक किया वो शर्मनाक था। इस तरह की हरकत करने वाले पुलिस अफसरों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई होनी ही चाहिए। जहां तक वीरांगनाओं की मांगों का सवाल है तो शहीदों के परिवार वालों ने कोई नई मांग नहीं रखी है। वे तो सिर्फ उन वादों को पूरा करने की मांग कर रहे हैं जो सरकार ने पुलवामा हमले में शहीदों को लेकर किए थे। इसमें गलत क्या है? सरकार ने चार साल पहले जो वादे किए थे वो अब तक पूरे क्यों नहीं हुए? हमारे सीआरपीएफ के जवानों ने देश के लिए अपनी प्राणों की आहुति दे दी। क्या सरकार की जिम्मेदारी नहीं है कि शहीदों के परिवारों का ख्याल रखे? नौकरी की मांग को लेकर, शहीदों की मूर्ति लगवाने के लिए वीरांगनाओं को आंदोलन करना पड़े, धरना देना पड़े और पुलिस उन्हें दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटे। ये पूरे समाज के लिए शर्मनाक है।
RAHUL AND RSS
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has raised a fresh controversy by equating the RSS with Muslim Brotherhood, and describing the saffron outfit as a “fundamentalist, fascist organization, which has basically captured pretty much all of India’s institutions. You can call it a secret society built along the lines of Muslim Brotherhood”. It is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has said such things about RSS, Narendra Modi, Parliament and judiciary. Had he not spoken about these issues in London, nobody here would have bothered to go through his speech. As people in India know pretty much well about the activities of RSS and its capability. The people of India are aware that the judiciary is not under government’s control and that, Rahul Gandhi is never prevented from speaking in Parliament. People remember the umpteen number of times Rahul spoke inside and outside Parliament. Nobody switched off his mike. I remember, he once said, let me speak for 10 minutes in Parliament and there will be an earthquake. He spoke for nearly half an hour but no such tremors were felt. We have heard Rahul speak on Rafael deal, on GST, on the farmers’ bills. A few weeks ago, he spoke for more than half an hour on industrialist Gautam Adani, and showed a photograph of Modi with Adani inside the House. Nobody stopped him. The Speaker allowed him full time to speak. It is therefore difficult to understand why Rahul alleged in London that opposition is not allowed to debate in Parliament and why its voice is being stifled. Did he presume that his audience there were not aware about the ground realities in India? It is strange how anybody can think on those lines in this Digital India age. The most worrying part was when Rahul, at a London programme, pointed towards a Sikh sitting in the audience and alleged that Mr Narendra Modi considers Sikhs as second class citizens. In his blind opposition to Modi, Rahul should not forget that anti-Indian forces can take advantage of such loose remarks. Such statements can be used to foment tension in India. Rahul Gandhi should avoid making such remarks.
CBI AND LALU PRASAD
On Tuesday, CBI officials questioned former Bihar chief minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in Delhi for nearly five hours in the ‘land for jobs’ scam. Lalu Yadav is unwell. He underwent kidney transplant in Singapore and doctors have put restrictions on meeting outside visitors. It would have been better if the questioning could have been postponed, but it would be incorrect to say that Modi government is trying to target Lalu Yadav because his party has entered into an alliance with Nitish Kumar’s JD(U). The ‘land for jobs’ scam surfaced when JD(U) leader Lallan Singh complained to CBI when Dr Manmohan Singh was prime minister. Now, neither Tejashwi Yadav will ask Lallan Singh why he complained against Lalu Yadav, nor Lallan Singh will now level corruption charges against the RJD supremo, since both the parties have now joined hands. On the contrary, Lallan Singh will now say that CBI is committing excess against Lalu Yadav and investigation agencies are being misused.
ASHOK GEHLOT AND MARTYRS’ WIDOWS
Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot is facing flak after some police personnel misbehaved with the widows of Pulwama terror attack martyrs recently. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has asked Gehlot to probe the incident and ensure that the promises made to the widows are fulfilled. Congress leader Sachin Pilot also wrote a letter to his CM making the same request. The misbehaviour with the widows of martyrs is really shameful. Action must be taken against the police personnel responsible. The martyrs’ families have not put any fresh demand. They are only demanding that the promises that were made by the government after Pulwama attack be fulfilled. There is nothing wrong in this. The promises were made four years ago. Our CRPF jawans had given their supreme sacrifice. Is it not the responsibility of the government to take care of the martyrs’ families? They are demanding jobs for their family members. These widows were demanding that statues of the martyrs be erected, but police personnel, with lathis, started beating them up. It brings nothing but shame to our society.
