Bihar Congress posted a 36-second AI-generated video on X in which characters resembling Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother Heeraben were shown with the caption “Maa appears in sahab’s dreams”.
This has triggered a sharp outcry with a BJP worker filing a police complaint in Delhi. BJP and its allies Janata Dal-U and LJP condemned this act and describing it as shameful.
Congress leader Pawan Khere said, no disrespect WAS shown towards the prime minister or his mother. “What is their objection? Just because a mother is trying to educate her son to do something right, where is the disrespect? This is neither disrespectful to the mother, whom we respect dearly, nor to the son,” Khera said.
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said: “Making memes of our prime minister’s late mother, that too of such a cheap standard, is shameful. BJP will make it a big issue across the country.”
When abuses were hurled at Modi’s late mother from a Congress-RJD platform in Darbhanga, the Congress leaders, at that time, said, they did not know who hurled the abuse. One could have given benefit of doubt to the Congress. But this video has appeared on an official handle of Bihar Congress. It is clear that Congress has put its seal of approval to the earlier act when Modi’s mother was abused.
Congress has used the name of Modi’s mother for political benefit, and that too officially to target the Prime Minister.
Such an act is shameful. To post an Ai-generated video of a woman who never spoke about politics and is no more alive to defend herself, is indicative of the falling level of Bihar politics. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has maintained silence on this, but his mannerism clearly shows he did not like this act by state Congress media cell.

Gen-Z must help in restoring peace in Nepal

In fast-paced developments, former Chief Justice of Nepal Sushila Karki on Friday night took oath as interim Prime Minister, the Parliament was dissolved and March 5 next year has been set as the date for fresh parliamentary elections. Clearly, six months’ time has been given to the interim government.
For the retired chief justice, bringing peace will be a tough job given the level of violence and arson that took place in Kathmandu during the last five days. Presently, the army is in control throughout the country and soldiers are guarding all important installations including the President’s House.
Kathmandu has turned into a ghost city with most of the people preferring tol live indoors. The visuals of arson and destruction are really shocking. When people indulge in arson, violence and anarchy, when Parliament and the Prime Minister’s residence are reduced to ashes, nothing seems to have left.
Neither the Constitution, nor democracy nor a semblance of law and order. Thousands came out on the streets and burnt everything. Democracy is now under the boots of the army and whatever the army decides, will be done. Leaders who were elected by the people have fled and gone underground. People whom the army will select will now run the country.
Weapons and uniforms of policemen were looted by mobs during anarchy. Thousands of prisoners fled from jails, and several of them are now moving around wearing police uniform. It is difficult to differentiate between a policeman and a criminal.
Those who launched the so-called civil agiation are denying that they had supported arson and violence. The question is: Who carried out arson and violence? Who looted the weapons? Who will ensure that the prisoners are sent back to jails?
The accountability lies with those who launched the Gen-Z agitation against corruption and unseated the Prime Minister and his government. It is now the responsibility of this group to bring back Nepal on track.

Grotesque beheading of an Indian in the US

The grotesque beheading of an Indian national by an American employee in Dallas, Texas is sickening and worrying. The ghastly act was done in the presence of the victim’s wife and son. The murderer used a machete to behead his employer, kicked his severed head and threw it in a dustbin.
The Indian employer Chandramouli Nagamallaiah, who was beheaded, was innocent. This is an inhuman act. He was ruthlessly beheaded by a man who was a historysheeter and a certified criminal.
The man who killed President Trump’s close ally Charlie Kirk was a 22-year-old youth. Tyler Robinson is a resident of Utah. Police have seized the high powered bolt action rifle to kill Kirk. Open gun culture in the US is a worrying trend. Trump had been blaming illegal immigrants for the rise in crimes, but in reality, no action has been taken on the ground, otherwise such heinous crimes would not have taken place.

36 सेकंड के इस वीडियो में दो कैरेक्टर दिखाई पड़ रहे हैं जिनमें एक को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और दूसरे करैक्टर को उनकी मां के तौर पर दिखाया गया है.

बीजेपी ने इस वीडियो को कांग्रेस की गिरी हुई मानसिकता का सबूत बताया है…..कांग्रेस की इस करतूत के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की बात कही है, लेकिन कांग्रेस के नेताओं को इसमें कुछ भी गलत नहीं लगता.

जब कांग्रेस-RJD के मंच से मोदी की मां को गाली दी गई थी, तब कांग्रेस ने कहा था कि गाली किसने दी क्या पता. हमारा उस व्यक्ति से क्या लेना-देना. तो एक benefit of doubt दिया जा सकता था. लेकिन अब तो कांग्रेस ने ऑफियशियली ये वीडियो जारी किया है.

अब ये तो साफ है कि..कांग्रेस ने पहले की बात पर मुहर लगा दी है. कांग्रेस ने प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की मां का इस्तेमाल राजनीति के लिए किया है.

AI Generated video बनाकर किया है. ये हरकत शर्मनाक है क्योंकि एक ऐसी महिला के बारे में, जिनका राजनीति से कोई लेना देना नहीं था, जिन्होंने कभी किसी के बारे में कभी एक लफ्ज नहीं कहा, जो महिला अपने आप को defend करने के लिए अब इस दुनिया में नहीं हैं, ये video बिहार की राजनीति के गिरते हुए स्तर का प्रतीक है और तेजस्वी यादव के हाव भाव को देखकर लगा कि उन्हें भी कांग्रेस ये हरकत पसंद नहीं आई.

नेपाल में शांति लौटाने की जिम्मेदारी Gen-Z की

नेपाल में पांच दिनों की हिंसा और अराजकता के बाद अब नई सरकार कमान संभाल रही है. काठमांडू में नेपाल की पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की को अन्तरिम प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर शुक्रवार रात को शपथ दिलाई गई. इसके साथ ही संसद को भंग कर दिया गया है और नेपाल में 6 मार्च को संसदीय चुनाव कराने का ऐलान किया गया है.

हालांकि नेपाल में जिस तरह की आराजकता है., उसे देख कर लगता है कि पूरी व्यवस्था को दुरुस्त करने में सुशीला कार्की को काफी मेहनत करनी पड़ेगी.

प्रदर्शन के दौरान पिछले चार दिनों में जो आगजनी और हिंसा हुई, बर्बादी का जो मंजर हैं, उन हालात में नेपाल को पटरी पर लाना, सारे सिस्टम को दुरूस्त करना जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की के लिए भी आसान नहीं होगा.

इस वक्त पूरा नेपाल फौज के कब्जे में है. हर तरफ डर है. हर जगह सेना के हथियारबंद जवान तैनात है. नेपाल के जो हालात हैं, वहां से जो तस्वीरें आ रही हैं, वो इस बात का सबूत हैं कि जब आंदोलन के नाम पर अराजकता, आगजनी, हिंसा होती है तो उसका अंजाम क्या होता है.

नेपाल में अब कुछ नहीं बचा. न संविधान, न लोकतन्त्र, न कानून व्यवस्था. कुछ हजार लोग सड़कों पर उतरे और सब कुछ जला डाला.

अब लोकतन्त्र Army के boots के नीचे आ गया है. सेना जो चाहेगी वही होगा. जिन्हें जनता ने चुना था, वो भाग चुके हैं. अब वो लोग देश चलाएंगे, जिन्हें सेना चुनेगी.

आंदोलन के दौरान पुलिस के हथियार लूट लिए गए, वर्दियां लूट ली गईं. आंदोलन की आड़ में हजारों अपराधी जेल से भाग गए. अब वो पुलिस की वर्दी पहन कर घूम रहे हैं. पुलिस के हथियार लेकर नेपाल में घूम रहे हैं.पुलिस और criminals में अंतर करना मुश्किल है.

जिन लोगों ने आंदोलन किया वो इस बात से इनकार करते हैं कि इस आगजनी और हिंसा के पीछे उनका समर्थन है.

तो फिर जिन्होंने आग लगाई वो कौन थे ? जिन्होंने हथियार लूटे वो कहां से आए ? जो अपराधी जेल से भागे उन्हें वापस जेल में कौन पहुंचाएगा ? ये जिम्मेदारी उन लोगों की है..जिन्होंने आंदोलन शुरू किया, जिन्होंने भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ आवाज उठाई, जिन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री और उनकी सरकार को बेदखल किया..अब नेपाल को दोबारा संवारने की जिम्मेदारी भी उन्हीं की है.

अमेरिका में एक भारतीय की निर्मम हत्या

अमेरिका से दिल दहलाने वाली खबर आई. टैक्सस में एक भारतीय व्यक्ति का सरेआम गला काट दिया गया. हत्यारे ने इस शख्स की पत्नी और बेटे के सामने न सिर्फ उसका गला काटा बल्कि कटे हुए सिर को जमीन पर पटक कर उस पर किक मारी, कटा हुआ सिर फुटबाल की तरह फर्श पर कुछ दूर तक लुढ़का. इसके बाद कातिल ने बड़े इत्मीनान से खोपड़ी को उठाया और पास में रखे हुए डस्टबिन में डाल कर भाग गया.

चार्ली कर्क की गोली मार कर हत्या की गई और अब भारतीय मूल के व्यक्ति की गर्दन काट दी गई. इसलिए ये सवाल सबके मन में हैं कि आखिर अमेरिका में क्या हो रहा है ?.

क्या अमेरिका में कानून व्यवस्था खत्म हो गई है ? क्या अपराधियों को किसी का डर नहीं है ? अमेरिकियों के दिलों दिमाग में इतना गुस्सा, इतनी नफरत, इतनी क्रूरता क्यों हैं ? कौन इसके लिए जिम्मेदार है ?

भारतीय मूल के चंद्रमौलि नागमल्लैया का कोई कसूर नहीं था.उन्होंने किसी का कुछ नहीं बिगाड़ा था. जिस बेरहमी से उनका सिर काटा गया, वो हैवानियत नहीं तो और क्या है ?

Historysheeter, certified criminal मौत का सौदागर बनकर नौकरी कर रहा था . इसी तरह चार्ली कर्क की हत्या की गई थी. चार्ली को मारने वाला 22 साल का एक युवक है जिसकी पहचान टायलर रॉबिन्सन के तौर पर हुई है. वो यूटा का ही रहने वाला है.

पुलिस ने हत्या के लिए इस्तेमाल की गई bolt action राइफल बरामद कर ली है..इस घटना ने अमेरिका में Open gun culture को फिर चर्चा में ला दिया, जिसे खत्म करने की बात कई बार हुई है..डॉनल्ड ट्रंप ने कई बार illegal immigrants को अपराधों के लिए जिम्मेदार बताया है लेकिन इस पर पूरी तरह action नहीं हुआ, वरना अमेरिका के बड़े बड़े शहर में लोग खुद को असुरक्षित महसूस न कर रहे होते.

अमेरिका में एक युवा icon की हत्या ने पूरी दुनिया को चौंका दिया. राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के करीबी चार्ली कर्क का हत्यारा अभी तक पकड़ा नहीं जा सका. किसी को अब तक ये पता ही नहीं है कि चार्ली कर्क को किसने मारा. ट्रंप ने इस हत्या को अति-वाम (ultra-left) आतंकवाद का नतीजा बताया.
ट्रंप ने कहा कि हत्यारे को खोजकर कड़ी से कड़ी सजा दी जाएगी. कातिल का समर्थन करने वालों, उन्हें आर्थिक मदद पहुंचाने वालों और विचारधारा के नाम पर खून खराबे को बढ़ावा देने वालों, चाहे व्यक्ति हो या संस्था, किसी को बख्शा नहीं जाएगा.
कुछ वीडियो सामने आए हैं जिनमें काले लिबास में एक शख्स छत पर बैठकर चार्ली की तरफ टारगेट सेट करता हुआ दिख रहा है लेकिन ये शख्स कौन था, वारदात के बाद कहां गायब हो गया, ये किसी को नहीं मालूम.
पुलिस के मुताबिक, चार्ली पर यूनीवर्सिटी कैंपस में छत से फायरिंग की गई, हत्यारा गोली चलाने के बाद जंगल की तरफ भागा, उसकी राइफल, जूते और कुछ सामान मिले हैं.
चार्ली कर्क ट्रंप के भरोसेमंद सहयोगी थे. राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में चार्ली कर्क ने ट्रंप के लिए जबरदस्त प्रतार किया था. अमेरिकी युवाओं के बीच 31 साल के चार्ली की फैन फॉलोइंग जबरदस्त है. चार्ली बुधवार को विदेश दौरे से लौटे थे. वो आजकल अमेरिका में The American Comeback Tour चला रहे थे. इसी प्रोग्राम के तहत चार्ली यूटा वैली यूनीवर्सिटी पहुंचे थे.
सामने हजारों छात्र थे, सुरक्षा का ज्यादा तामझाम नहीं था. सब कुछ सामान्य था. इसी दौरान एक गोली चली. कुर्सी पर बैठे चार्ली एक तरफ गिर गए. उनकी गर्दन से खून निकल रहा था. चारों तरफ भगदड़ मच गई. हमलावर ने सिर्फ एक ही गोली चलाई जो सीधे चार्ली को लगी.
चार्ली कर्क ने 18 साल की उम्र में टर्निग प्वाइंट USA नाम की संस्था बनाई थी जिसका मकसद अमेरिकी युवाओं के बीच कंजर्वेटिव और दक्षिणपंथी विचारधारा का प्रचार करना है. अमेरिका के 850 कॉलेजों में उनके संगठन की शाखाएं हैं. चार्ली ने 2020 में The MAGA Doctrine नाम की किताब लिखी थी जो बेस्ट सेलर साबित हुई थी. चार्ली कर्क एक प्रखर वक्ता थे लेकिन अपने दक्षिणपंथी विचारों के लिए वो हमेशा लिबरल्स के निशाने पर रहे.
कर्क गुलामी, रंगभेद से लेकर abortion और महिलाओं पर दिए अपने बयानों के कारण हमेशा विवादों में रहे. वो इजराइल को खुलकर समर्थन करते थे, वामपंथी विचारधारा का खुलकर विरोध करते थे.
अमेरिकी समाज liberal विचारों के लिए जाना जाता है. इसीलिए विचारधारा के नाम पर अमेरिका में किसी को इस तरह गोली मार दी जाए, ये सुनकर हैरानी होती है. इससे भी ज्यादा दुखद बात ये है कि जब चार्ली कर्क को गोली मारी गई तो Utah University में कुछ लोग जश्न मनाते दिखाई दिए. Social Media पर कुछ radical extremist ये कहते हुए सुनाई दिए कि ‘अच्छा हुआ चार्ली को मार दिया गया’. एक अमेरिकी न्यूज़ चैनल के anchor ने चार्ली की हत्या को अच्छी खबर बताया. ये सब बातें चेतावनी हैं.
इन्हें देखकर दुख भी होता है और आश्चर्य भी. इस तरह के वीडियो इसका सबूत है कि अमेरिका में वैचारिक आधार पर नफरत किस हद तक बढ़ गई है. लोगों के दिलों में एक दूसरे के प्रति कितना जहर भरा है. इस घटना ने ट्रंप पर गोली चलाए जाने की घटना की याद दिला दी.
अमेरिका में लोग अपनी सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंतित हैं. गोली कहीं भी, कभी भी चल सकती है, किसी को भी जान से मारना कितना आसान हो गया है, किसी के लिए भी gun हासिल करना कितना आसान है. चार्ली कर्क की हत्या इसका उदाहरण है. अब सवाल पुलिस पर भी उठेंगे क्योंकि मारने वाला गायब हो गया. ये सारी बातें ट्रंप को परेशान करने के लिए काफी है.

नेपाल : अन्तरिम सरकार को चलाना मुश्किल होगा

दो दिन पहले तक नेपाल के नौजवान सरकार को हटाने के लिए आग लगा रहे थे, अब नेपाल में सरकार का नेतृत्व कौन करे, इस सवाल पर GEN Z मूवमेंट से जुड़े लोग आपस में लड़ रहे हैं. GEN Z का एक गुट चाहता है, पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की को अंतरिम सरकार के प्रमुख बनाया जाए. दूसरा गुट बालेन्द्र शाह के हाथ में देश की कमान देने की पक्ष में है. तीसरा गुट कुलमान घिसींग को अन्तरिम प्रधानमंत्री बनाना चाहता हैं. चूंकि किसी नाम पर आम सहमति नहीं बन रही है, इसीलिए झगड़ा शुरू हो गया है.
जो प्रदर्शनकारी कल तक एकजुट थे, वो अब गुटों में बंट गए. परसों तक सरकारी इमारतों और होटलों पर हमला कर रहे थे, अब एक दूसरे के सिर फोड़ रहे हैं. आज काठमांडू में सेना के मुख्यालय के सामने GEN Z मूवमेंट के तीन गुट आपस में भिड़ गए.
खुद बालेन्द्र शाह ने जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की को अंतरिम सरकार का मुखिया बनाए जाने का समर्थन किया है. बालेन शाह ने ट्विटर पर लिखा कि जब तक मौजूदा संसद को भंग नहीं किया जाता, तब तक वो किसी अंतरिम सरकार का हिस्सा नहीं होंगे.
बालेन शाह ने कहा कि अब देश को एक अंतरिम सरकार मिलने वाली है, जो देश में नए चुनाव कराएगी. इस अंतरिम सरकार का काम चुनाव कराना और देश को एक नया जनादेश देना है. इसलिए वो सुशीला कार्की को इस अंतरिम सरकार का नेतृत्व सौंपने का समर्थन करते हैं.
इसमें एक पेंच फंस गया है. नेपाल के संविधान के मुताबिक, सुप्रीम कोर्ट का रिटायर्ड जज किसी राजनीतिक या संवैधानिक पद पर नहीं बैठ सकते, रिटायरमेंट के बाद किसी भी जज को सिर्फ कानून या न्यायपालिका से जुड़े पद ही दिए जा सकते हैं. इसीलिए अगर जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की को अंतरिम सरकार की कमान सौंपने के लिए संविधान में बदलाव करना होगा.
नेपाल में GEN Z के groups के आपस में लड़ने की जो तस्वीरें आई हैं, वो अच्छा संकेत नहीं है. किसी भी system को तोड़ना जितना आसान है, उसे बनाना उतना ही मुश्किल. नेपाल में अब सेना का नियंत्रण है. सेना ही अन्तरिम सरकार बनाएगी. सेना ही नए चुनाव करवाएगी, पर चुनाव साल भर से पहले नहीं हो पाएंगे.
48 घंटे की आगजनी में बेकाबू भीड़ ने लगभग हर सरकारी इमारत को जला दिया. पूरा system तहस नहस कर दिया. न Parliament बची, न secretariat. पुलिस डरी हुई है. अपराधी जेलों से बाहर आ चुके हैं. भीड़ ने भारी तादाद में हथियार लूटे हैं जिसने खतरा और बढ़ा दिया है.
इन सारी बातों से परेशान व्यापारी और नेपाल के दूसरे समृद्ध लोग देश छोड़कर भाग रहे हैं. इन परिस्थितियों में जो भी अन्तरिम सरकार में आएगा, उसके लिए शासन चलाना टेढ़ी खीर साबित होगी. नेपाल का जो नुकसान हुआ है, उसकी भरपाई होने में बरसों लग जाएंगे.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and close ally of US President Donald Trump, has raised serious questions about the radicalisation of ordinary Americans. The United States has witnessed four Presidential assassinations since its independence. Republican leaders have pointed towards “radical left political violence” for the assassination of Kirk, a popular activist who rallied American youths to Donald Trump’s cause.
Trump has blamed ultra-left radicals and has vowed to punish the assassin. FBI has released pictures of the suspected assassin wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, walking into a building, before the act.
Charlie Kirk had campaigned hard for Trump during last year’s presidential elections. He had a huge fan following among the youths and had returned on Wednesday from a foreign tour. Kirk was running The American Comeback Tour in the US and had gone to Utah Valley University to address students.
Charlie used to run the The Charlie Kirk Show on radio and had 5.7 million followers on X. Before he was shot, Charlie Kirk was replying to questions about mass shootings and gun culture to the students. He was killed on the day of 9/11 tragedy, when America was mourning those who died in the Al Qaeda bombings at the Twin Towers in New York.
America is known to be a society with liberal thoughts. The killing of a youth icon is really shocking and saddening. It is sad to note that some youths at Utah University were seen celebrating after Charlie Kirk was shot. Some radical extremists were praising the assassination on social media platforms. An American news channel anchor described this assassination as a good news.
All these are indications which forebode an uneasy future. It is saddening to read comments on social media praising the assassination. The chasm of hate seems to have widened in American society with loads of poison in the hearts of those making such hate comments.
This incident reminds us of the failed attempt to assassinate Trump when he was campaigning last year. People in American are worried about security. They do not know when gunshots can erupt, anywhere. It has become easy for anybody to kill a person.
Acquiring a gun in the US has become easy. Charlie Kirk’s assassination is an example of this. Questions will also be raised about police security at the Utah campus and why the assassin vanished after committing the heinous act. These are facts which should be worrying President Trump.

Nepal : Running an interim govt won’t be easy

Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel and Army Chief Gen. Ashok Raj Sigdel are busy negotiating with Gen Z campaigners on the issue of nominating an interim prime minister to run the government.
One section of Gen Z leaders has opposed the name of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as the interim head, while another group wants Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah to be given the job. A third group wants Kulman Ghising as the interim PM. A consensus is still eluding.
Balendra Shah has supported the nomination of Sushila Karki as the interim head. He has said that he would not be part of any government unless the present parliament is dissolved.
There is, however, one problem. The Nepalese Constitution says, any judge of the Supreme Court cannot hold a political or constitutional post after retirement. The retired judge can only take up any judicial or law-related post. A way has to be found to bypass this provision.
The visuals of Gen Z group supporters fighting outside the Army Chief’s office are not a good sign. It is easy to destroy a system, but it is difficult to rebuild a system.
Nepal is now under the control of the army. The army will set up an interim government and fresh elections will take place, which can only be possible after a year. Arsonists had set fire to most of the important government buildings during 48 hours of anarchy.
The entire system is in shambles. Both the parliament and secretariat have been reduced to ashes. Criminals have fled from jails and mobs have looted a large number of weapons. The danger is big.
Already businessmen and those of the elite are fleeing Nepal. Any interim head who will take over could face a hard time in running the government. It will take several years to rebuild Nepal from the damages caused by anarchists.

Nepal’s Gen Z campaigners, on Thursday afternoon, went to meet the Army Chief Gen. Ashok Sigdel for talks on an interim government with consensus eluding the agitators over who should be made the interim prime minister.
Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki appears to be the frontrunner after an online voting conducted on a digital platform showed her leading. She was followed by Kul Man Ghising. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah has decided to step aside from the leadership race despite his popularity among Gen Z agitators. Sudan Gurung of Hami Nepal is also in the race.
Army has relaxed curfew for some hours. Tribhuvan International Airport has resumed operations. The death toll has risen to 34 and more than a thousand injured people treated in hospitals.
India’s Sashastra Seema Bal has arrested 60 prisoners who had fled from jails in Nepal. They have been handed over to local police near different border check posts.
In my primetime show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’ on India TV, we showed how agitators set fire to important buildings like Singh Durbar, Hilton Hotel, Bhat-Bhateni Super Market, Parliament, President House and several top restaurants.
Tourism industry, the biggest revenue earner for Nepal, will take a long time to return to normalcy after agitators ran amok on Monday and Tuesday. There was complete anarchy in Kathmandu for two days.
None of the agitators or their leaders are willing to take responsibility for the arson and widespread looting that took place during those two days of anarchy. Gen Z leaders are claiming that none of their supporters were involved in arson.
Those who were setting fire to properties do not appear to be linked to any political party. The mobs ran completely out of control. Not a single Gen Z leader was seen trying to stop the arsonists, who had the least respect for Nepal’s heritage, its rich and ancient culture and its economy. It will take years to restore the damages that have been caused.
The agitation began because of the mistakes committed by K. P. Sharma Oli. There are unconfirmed reports that he has fled to Dubai. The army is in a bind as to who will run the government.
Gen Z agitators had suggested retired justice Sushila Karki’s name, but another group of agitators vetoed it. For the army, it has become a challenge to bring consensus.
One big worry is about the criminals who escaped from jails during the two-day anarchy. Most of them are hardened criminals and only a few are political detenus. For India, it is a time to keep a close watch on the inmates who have escaped.

Nepal Fallout : Is Opposition Daydreaming?

In India, there are a few opposition leaders who have begun saying, what happened in Nepal could happen here too. Leaders like Sanjay Raut, Sanjay Singh and Tejashwi Yadav have directly or obliquely made such remarks.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, the fire that engulfed Nepal is also smouldering in India. Nobody knows when a similar situation can occur in India, he said. Raut said, people in India still believe in the principles of Gandhiji, and there is peace, otherwise the situation could have deteriorated already.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh said, when the rights of common people are snatched away, such a situation happens, as it did in Nepal. Leaders in India should take a lesson, he added.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, when asked for his reaction, said, “there is not much distance between Nepal and Bihar”.
Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Sanjay Nirupam said, “leaders of INDIA alliance, who had been moving around carrying the red book of Indian Constitution, are now dreaming of a change of power through anarchy. It is clear that they have no faith in the Constitution”.
Let me make a point here: Those who could not defeat Narendra Modi is general elections thrice are now sensing flames of hope from the fire that burned in Nepal.
When there was violence and arson in Bangladesh, people like Sanjay Raut saw a ray of hope. I have heard people saying, what happened in Bangladesh can also happen here.
When young agitators came out on the streets of Colombo and ransacked Parliament and the President’s residence, anti-Modi leaders started salivating.
One cannot forget what Rahul Gandhi said five years ago. Let me give you the exact quote.
He said, “Yeh Jo Narendra Modi Abhi Bhashan De Raha Hai, 7-8 Mahine Baad Yeh Ghar Se Nahin Nikal Payega. Hindustan Ke Yuva Unko Dandon Se Marengey” (This Narendra Modi who is giving speeches here and there, won’t be able to come out of his home after 7-8 months. The youths of India will beat him with sticks)
Such a mindset is anti-democracy, anti-Constitution. Our country has a strong and established system. It is inherently stable.
For the last 11 years, there is an elected, stable government at the Centre. Nepal witnessed 14 governments in a span of 17 years. Sri Lanka saw four prime ministers in the last five years. People of India elected Narendra Modi thrice with a resounding majority.
Nobody can say that the people are unhappy with Modi. Internal dissent does not mean one should weaken the nation’s system. Indian democracy is strong, the Constitution is capable. Hence India cannot be compared with other countries.

नेपाल में सेनाध्यक्ष अन्तरिम सरकार बनवाने की तैयारियों में लगे हुए हैं, लेकिन Gen Z आंदोलनकारियों में अन्तरिम पीएम को लेकर सहमति नही बन पा रही है. गुरुवार दोपहर को Gen Z आंदोलनकारियों के कई नेता सेनाध्यक्ष से मिलने पहुंचे. अभी बातचीत जारी है.
आंदोलनकारियों ने एक डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म के ज़रिये नये पीएम के बारे में वोट करवाया था. इस polling में पूर्व जस्टिस सुशीला कार्की दूसरों से आगे हैं, जबकि कुलमान घिसिंग दूसरे स्थान पर हैं. काठमांडू के मेयर बालेंद्र शाह खुद दौड़ से बाहर हो गए. हामी नेपाल के नेता सुधन गुरुंग भी दौड़ मे हैं.
काठमांडु के त्रिभुवन अन्तरराष्ट्रीय हवाईअड्डे को फिर से खोल दिया गया है. अब तक कुब 34 लोग हिंसा में मारे गये हैं, जबकि अस्पतालों में 1 हजार से ज्यादा घायलों का इलाज चल रहा है. सीमा सशस्त्र बल ने भारत-नेपाल सीमा की कई चौकियों पर 60 कैदियों को गिरफ्तार किया है जो नेपाल की जेलों से भाग कर भारत में घुसने की कोशिश कर रहे थे.
काठमांडू में हर तरफ बर्बादी के निशान हैं. सड़कों पर सन्नाटा है. फिलहाल कोई सरकार नहीं हैं. प्रधानमंत्री का इस्तीफा हो चुका है, सत्ता पक्ष और विपक्ष के नेता भाग चुके हैं, इसीलिए सेना ने पूरे नेपाल को अपने नियंत्रण में ले लिया है.
नेपाल में दो दिन की अराजकता के समय हुई आगजनी, लूट और दंगों की जिम्मेदारी लेने को कोई तैयार नहीं है. GEN Z के लोग आज कह रहे हैं कि हमने कहीं आग नहीं लगाई, वे इसके लिए राजनीतिक दलों पर दोषारोपण कर रहे हैं. 120 साल पुराने ऐतिहासिक सिंह दरबार में आग लगाई गई, राष्ट्रपति भवन को जला दिया गया, सबसे प्रसिद्ध Hilton hotel से लपटें उठती हुई दिखाई दीं. इन जगहों पर जो लोग protest कर रहे थे, जो आग लगा रहे थे, उनकी बातें सुनकर ये बिलकुल नहीं लगा कि वो किसी राजनीतिक पार्टी से जुड़े हैं. ये तो बेकाबू भीड़ थी जिसे रोकने वाला कोई नहीं था.
Gen Z का कोई नेता, कोई कार्यकर्ता आग लगाने वालों को रोकता दिखाई नहीं दिया. आग लगाने वालों को नेपाल की विरासत, नेपाल की संस्कृति और नेपाल की अर्थव्यवस्था का कोई ध्यान नहीं था. जो नुकसान उन्होंने पहुंचाया, उसे ठीक करने में बरसों लग जाएंगे.
जिन के.पी. ओली की वजह से ये सारा आंदोलन खड़ा हुआ, उनके बारे में पता चला कि अब वो दुबई पहुंच गए हैं, Protest करने वालों की पकड़ से बाहर हैं. अब सरकार कौन चलाएगा इसको लेकर असमंजस है. Gen Z की तरफ से Retired Justice सुशीला कार्की का नाम आगे किया गया था पर दूसरे ग्रुप ने इसे veto कर दिया.
अब सेना के सामने किसी एक नाम पर सहमति बनवा पाने की चुनौती है, जो टेढ़ी खीर लगता है. एक बड़ी चिंता उन पेशेवर अपराधियों को लेकर है जो जेलों से भाग गये. इनमें ज्यादातर लोग अपराधी हैं, राजनीतिक कैदी तो इक्का दुक्का हैं. ये अपराधी भारत के लिए भी चिंता का विषय हैं क्योंकि ये सीमा पार करके इस तरफ आ सकते हैं.

नेपाल का असर : मोदी विरोधियों ने देखे दिन में सपने

हैरानी की बात ये है कि हमारे देश के कुछ नेता ये उम्मीद पाल कर बैठे हैं कि जो नेपाल में हुआ, वो भारत में भी हो सकता है. संजय राउत, संजय सिंह और तेजस्वी यादव ने ये तो बात खुलकर कह भी दी.
शिवसेना (यूपीटी) के नेता संजय राउत ने कहा कि नेपाल की तरह भारत में भी अंदर ही अंदर आग धधक रही है, पता नहीं कब नेपाल जैसे हालात बन जाएं, वैसे हमारे देश में अभी भी लोग गांधी जी के सिद्धांत को मानते हैं, इसीलिए शान्ति है वरना हालात तो कभी भी बिगड़ सकते हैं.
आम आदमी पार्टी के नेता संजय सिंह ने कहा कि जब भी जनता के अधिकारों को छीना जाता है तो वही होता है, जो नेपाल में हुआ है. उन्होंने कहा कि इससे भारत के नेताओं को भी सबक लेना चाहिए. संजय राउत और संजय सिंह तो खुलकर बोले लेकिन तेजस्वी यादव ने इशारों-इशारों में बड़ी बात कह दी. तेजस्वी से नेपाल के हालात पर प्रतिक्रिया मांगी गई थी, तो उन्होने कहा कि नेपाल और बिहार ज्यादा दूर नहीं हैं.
शिंदे की शिवसेना के नेता संजय निरूपम ने कहा कि इंडी अलायंस के नेता हाथों में संविधान की लाल किताब लेकर घूमते हैं, संविधान और लोकतंत्र को बचाने की बात करते हैं, लेकिन आज वो अराजकता के सहारे सत्ता बदलने का सपना देख रहा है, इससे साफ है इन लोगों का संविधान पर भरोसा नहीं है.
जो लोग तीन-तीन बार मिलकर भी नरेंद्र मोदी को चुनाव में नहीं हरा पाए, उन्हें नेपाल की आग में आशा की लपटें दिखाई देने लगी हैं.
जब बांग्लादेश में इस तरह की हिंसा और मारकाट हुई थी, तो संजय राउत जैसे लोगों की उम्मीद जागी थी. मैंने ऐसे लोगों को कहते सुना था कि बांग्लादेश में जो हो रहा है वो यहां भी हो सकता है.
जब श्रीलंका में अराजकता फैली थी तब भी मोदी का विरोध करने वाले कई लोगों की लार टपकती दिखाई दी थी. पांच साल पहले का राहुल गांधी का वो वाक्य भुलाया नहीं जा सकता.
मैं exact quote आपको बताता हूं. उन्होंने कहा था कि, “ये जो नरेंद्र मोदी अभी भाषण दे रहा है..7-8 महीने बाद ये घर से नहीं निकल पाएगा…हिंदुस्तान के युवा उसको डंडों से मारेंगे”.
ये विचार, ये मानसिकता लोकतंत्र विरोधी, संविधान विरोधी है. हमारा देश एक system से चलता है. व्यवस्था मजबूत है.
पिछले 11 साल से जनता की चुनी हुई स्थिर सरकार है. नेपाल में पिछले 17 साल में 14 बार सरकार बदली है. श्रीलंका में पिछले 5 साल में 4 प्रधानमंत्री बदले. भारत में तीन-तीन बार देश की जनता ने नरेंद्र मोदी को भारी बहुमत से चुना. इसीलिए ये तो कोई नहीं कह सकता कि जनता मोदी से नाराज है.
आंतरिक विरोध का मतलब देश की व्यवस्था को कमजोर करना नहीं हो सकता. भारत का लोकतंत्र सशक्त है, संविधान सक्षम है, इसीलिए भारत की तुलना दुनिया के किसी भी और देश से नहीं की जा सकती.

पूरे नेपाल में दो दिन की आगज़नी, तोड़फोड़, फायरिंग के बाद अब बेचैनी से भरी शांति है. नेपाली सेना काठमांडू और अन्य शहरों में सभी महत्वपूर्ण स्थानों की सुरक्षा के लिए तैनात है. सेना ने गुरुवार सुबह तक लगातार कर्फ्यू लगा दिया है. नेपाल के सेनाध्यक्ष ने छात्र नेताओं को बातचीत के लिए बुलाया है.
नेपाल में इस समय करीब 2,500 भारतीय फंसे हुए हैं. सभी से कहा गया है कि वे स्थिति सामान्य न होने तक सड़कों पर बाहर न निकलें.
नेपाल में आग भड़कने की दो मुख्य वजह हैं, भ्रष्टाचार और सोशल मीडिया पर बैन से आजादी खोने का खतरा. नेपाल में प्रधानमंत्री के.पी. ओली के इस्तीफे के बाद युवाओं को शांत हो जाना चाहिए था, लेकिन आंदोलनकारियों पर फायरिंग ने आग में घी डालने का काम किया.
नेपाल की सड़कों पर मंत्रियों और नेताओं को पीटा गया. उनके घरों को आग लगाई गई. इसकी वजह लोगों के दिलोदिमाग में बरसों से जल रही आग है. नेपाल को कभी टिकाऊ सरकार नहीं मिली. 17 साल में 14 बार सरकारें बदलीं. के.पी. ओली चार बार प्रधानमंत्री बने. सरकारें जनमत से नहीं, जोड़तोड़ से बनी. कोई भारत विरोधी भालनाओं का फायदा उठा कर सत्ता में आया, तो किसी ने चीन समर्थक होने की चाल चली.
नेपाल के लोगों को जब ये एहसास हुआ कि ये लोग जनता की भावनाओं को भड़काते हैं, खुद ऐशोआराम की जिंदगी जीते हैं, देश को लूटते हैं तो लोगों के दिलों में गुस्सा बढ़ा. सोशल मीडिया के जरिए ये बात घर-घर पहुंच गई और मौका मिलते ही ये नाराजगी फूट पड़ी. इसीलिए मुख्य राजनीतिक दलों में लोगों का विश्वास नहीं रहा.
नेपाल में तख्तापलट तो हो गया लेकिन अब नेपाल को कौन चलाएगा, नया नेता कौन होगा, नई सरकार का स्वरूप क्या होगा, ये सवाल सबके मन में हैं.
दो विकल्प हैं, या तो सेना सारी सत्ता अपने हाथ में ले या फिर किसी नए नेता की अगुआई में सरकार का गठन हो. नए नेता के तौर पर काठमांडू के मेयर बालेंद्र शाह के नाम की खूब चर्चा है. नेपाल की युवा पीढ़ी rapper से राजनेता बने बालेंद्र शाह की समर्थक है. बालेंद्र शाह ने 2022 में निर्दलीय के तौर पर काठमांडू के मेयर का चुनाव जीतकर इतिहास रच दिया था. उनकी छवि एक अच्छे प्रशासक की है. बालेंद्र शाह के मेयर रहते हुए कई ऐसे काम हुए हैं, जिनसे राजधानी में प्रशासन बेहतर हुआ. बेदाग छवि और भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ सख्त रुख के चलते बालेंद्र शाह लोगों के बीच, खासकर युवा पीढ़ी में खासे लोकप्रिय हैं. बालेंद्र शाह अपने समर्थकों से जुड़ने के लिए पारंपरिक मीडिया के बजाय सोशल मीडिया पर खासे सक्रिय रहते हैं, जिससे युवा पीढ़ी उनसे जुड़ी. कहा तो ये भी जा रहा है कि नेपाल में जो आंदोलन हुआ उसके पीछे बालेंद्र शाह ही थे.
सवाल ये है कि इस आंदोलन के पीछे कोई नेता या संगठन नहीं हैं, फिर भी इतने सारे नौजवान इकट्ठा कैसे हुए ? राष्ट्रपति भवन से संसद तक कैसे पहुंचे? इनपर किसी का काबू नहीं है. इसीलिए इस आंदोलन के पीछे कौन है ? इसे लेकर अटकलें लगाई जा रही हैं.
क्या अमेरिका ने ये करवाया क्योंकि ओली का झुकाव चीन की तरफ है ? क्या नेपाल में राजशाही को वापस लेने की मांग करने वालों ने ये आंदोलन करवाया ? क्या चीन ने युवाओं को भड़काया, क्योंकि नेपाल में अमेरिका का पूंजीनिवेश बढ़ने लगा है ?
मुझे लगता है ये सारी बातें महज़ अटकलें हैं. नेपाल में जो आग की लपटें दिखाई दे रही हैं, उनके पीछे जन आक्रोश है, व्यवस्था से नाराजगी है. जनता ने सबको मौका देकर देख लिया. वामपंथियों को, माओवादियों को और दक्षिणपंथियों को, लेकिन सबके सब भ्रष्ट निकले. वहां के सोशल मीडिया मे भ्रष्टाचार की बड़ी चर्चा है. जैसे, Airbus से विमान खरीदे गए, उसमें भ्रष्टाचार हुआ लेकिन लाख शोर मचाने के बावजूद कोई एक्शन नहीं हुआ. दूसरा, बड़े नेताओं के बच्चे विदेशों में पढ़ते हैं जबकि नेपाल के लोगों के लिए न अच्छे स्कूल हैं, न कॉलेज.
ऐसी सारी बातें लोगों के दिलों में घर करती रहीं और नतीजा ये हुआ कि जब एक बार आग लगनी शुरू हुई तो उसने बुझने का नाम नहीं लिया. पुलिस ने लोगों के सामने हथियार डाल दिए और फौज ने balancing रोल अपनाया.
आज की तारीख में सारी उम्मीद फौज पर है क्योंकि नेपाल में स्थिति सामान्य होने की बहुत जरूरत है. फौज ये काम या तो अपील करके कर सकती है या फिर सख्ती से.

उपराष्ट्रपति चुनाव का नतीजा : विपक्ष के लिए झटका

सी. पी. राधाकृष्णन देश के 15वें उपराष्ट्रपति होंगे. उपराष्ट्रपति के चुनाव में एनडीए के उम्मीदवार राधाकृष्णन ने INDIA अलायंस के उम्मीदवार बी. सुदर्शन रेड्डी को 152 वोटों के अंतर से हराया. राधाकृष्णन को 452 वोट और रेड्डी को 300 वोट मिले. ये नतीजा विपक्ष के लिए जितना बड़ा झटका है, NDA के लिए उतना ही बड़ा बूस्टर है क्योंकि चुनाव में NDA पूरी तरह एकजुट रहा, जबकि विपक्ष के सासंदों ने पाला बदला, क्रॉस वोटिंग की.
विपक्ष के कम से कम 14 सांसदों ने क्रॉस वोटिंग की. चुनाव में राज्यसभा और लोकसभा के कुल 781 सासंदों को वोट देना था. इनमें से 767 सांसदों ने वोट डाले जिसमें 752 वोट सही पाये गये, 15 वोट अवैध घोषित हुए. एनडीए के पास 427 सांसद थे, इसके अलावा जगनमोहन रेड्डी की पार्टी YSRCP के 11 सांसदों ने भी एनडीए के पक्ष में वोटिंग की.
इस हिसाब से एनडीए के पास कुल 438 वोट थे लेकिन राधाकृष्णन को कुल 452 वोट मिले. इसका मतलब ये है कि विपक्ष के 14 सांसदों ने एनडीए उम्मीदवार के पक्ष में क्रॉस वोटिंग की.
चुनाव NDA जीतेगा इसमें किसी को कोई शक नहीं था. जब चुनाव प्रक्रिया शुरु हुई, NDA के पास INDIA bloc के मुकाबले 103 वोट ज्यादा थे लेकिन मोदी के उम्मीदवार राधाकृष्णन ने राहुल गांधी के bloc से 152 वोट ज्यादा पाकर सबको चौंका दिया.
कांग्रेस और उसके साथी दलों के नेता TV और Social Media पर चुनाव में अपनी जीत के दावे कर रहे थे, NDA सांसदों से Cross voting करवाने की बड़ी बड़ी बातें कह रहे थे.
कुछ लोगों ने तो यहां तक लिखा कि राहुल गांधी मलेशिया में TDP और JDU के नेताओं से secret meeting करने गए थे, वो भी scooter पर बैठ कर. ये बातें जितनी बेसिर-पैर की दिखाई दे रही थी, उससे कहीं ज्यादा फ़िज़ूल की निकली. दांव उल्टा पड़ गया. INDIA bloc के अपने सांसद टूट गए, cross voting कर दी.
अब राहुल गांधी और उनके managers को ये पता करने में कई महीने लग जाएंगे कि उनके कौन-कौन से सांसदों ने उनका साथ छोड़ दिया और मोदी के उम्मीदवार को वोट दे दिया.

With the Nepalese Army taking charge of security, a semblance of normalcy returned to capital Kathmandu on Wednesday following two days of violent protests resulting in the death of 22 people.
Army personnel have been deployed to guard all government buildings which were stormed by protesters on Monday and Tuesday. Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has been closed indefinitely. Army has imposed nationwide curfew till Thursday morning.
A statement from the army said: “In the name of movement, various lawless individuals and groups are still infiltrating and committing acts such as vandalism and arson, violent attacks on individuals, and attempts to intimidate” and keeping this in mind, curfew has been imposed.
Nearly 2,500 Indian tourists are presently stranded inside Nepal. They have been asked to stay indoors till the situation returns to normal.
The question now is: what next? Who will run Nepal now? Who will emerge as the new leader? There could be two options.
One, either the army takes over or a new leader is allowed to form a government. Kathmandu Mayor and famous Nepali rapper Balendra Shah seems to be the frontrunner. Youths in Nepal are diehard fans of this rapper.
Balendra Shah fought the Kathmandu mayoral election as an independent in 2022 and won hands down. He has the image of a good administrator who worked hard to cleanse the city administration of corruption.
Question also arises about how thousands of youths came out on the streets without having a leader or an organisation? Who are the masterminds behind this anti-corruption protest?
There are several speculations being floated. Did the US Deep State worked because the ousted PM K.P.Sharma Oli was known to be pro-China? Did the pro-monarchy leaders, who wanted the King back, incite the protesters? Or, did China have a hand because of rising American investments in Nepal?
I think most of these questions are speculative. The anger that was simmering in Nepal among the people was over popular disenchantment with the system.
The people, through ballots, gave opportunity to all the mainstream parties to govern. From Leftists to Maoists to Rightists, most of the leaders proved to be corrupt. Their acts of corruption are the staple of comments floating on social media.
For example, there was corruption in purchase of Airbus planes and no action was taken despite much hue and cry. Secondly, children of many top leaders in Nepal were flaunting their extravagance and studying in foreign lands, and on the other hand, there are no good schools or colleges in Nepal and lakhs of youths are jobless.
All these grievances accumulated in the minds of people over the years and the result was the fire that was lit when the government banned all social media platforms. The fire continued to spread and police appeared helpless in tackling the agitators. The army played a balancing role.
All hopes now rest with the army. It is essential that peace is restored across Nepal. The army can perform this task either by making an appeal, or by applying the rod.

V-P poll result : A shocker for opposition

The election of Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan as India’s 15th Vice-President was a foregone conclusion. He defeated the INDIA bloc candidate B. Sudershan Reddy by a margin of 152 votes.
CPR, as he is popularly known, got 452 votes, while Reddy got 300 votes. This result is a clear setback for the opposition and a booster for NDA. At least 14 opposition MPs cross-voted.
When the election process began, NDA was ahead by a margin of 103 votes compared to the INDIA bloc, but Modi’s candidate CPR won by a margin of 152 votes. Congress and other opposition leaders were claiming that many from the NDA would cross-vote in favour of Reddy.
Some busybodies even wrote that Rahul Gandhi had arranged a secret meeting during his Malaysia visit with Janata Dal-U and TDP leaders by driving them on scooters.
All such speculations proved to be baseless. The claims fell flat and it was the INDIA bloc which faced cross-voting. Rahul Gandhi and his managers will now take months to find out who among the opposition MPs deserted and voted for Modi’s candidate.

नेपाल में जनाक्रोश के दूसरे दिन देशव्यापी हिंसा के बाद प्रधानमंत्री के.पी.शर्मा ओली को इस्तीफा देना पड़ा. काठमांडू, पोखरा और देश के तमाम शहरों में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन ने उग्र रूप घारण कर लिया. संसद भवन, प्रधानमंत्री निवास, राष्ट्रपति भवन, सुप्रीम कोर्ट, तमाम बड़े राजनीतिक दलों के दफ्तरों और कई बड़े होटलों में भीड़ ने आग लगा दी.
मंत्रियों को भीड़ ने दौड़ा-दौड़ा कर पीटा. पूर्व पीएम शेर बहादुर देउबा को भी उग्र भीड़ ने नहीं बख्शा. काठमांडू अन्रराष्ट्रीय हवाईअड्डे को बंद करना पड़ा. ऐसी खबर थी कि प्रदर्शनकारी एयरपोर्ट में घुस कर देश से भागने की तैयारी करने वाले नेताओं, मंत्रियों और अफसरशाहों को रोकने वाले हैं. सेना ने हेलीकाप्टरों की मदद से मंत्रियों को सेना के बैरक में सुरक्षित पहुंचाया.
नेपाल के युवाओं का गुस्सा उबाल पर है. इन्हें मीडिया में GenZ कहा जा रहा है. बेरोजगारी, महंगाई, भ्रष्टाचार से तंग आ चुकी जनता सोशल मीडिया पर बैन लगाये जाने के बाद सड़को पर उतर आई और तख्तापलट कर दिया. सोमवार को पुलिस फायरिंग में 21 युवाओं की मौत के बाद गुस्से की आग और भड़क उठी. ज्यादातर मृत और ज़ख्मी युवाओं के सीने में गोलियां लगी हुई थी. ढाई सौ से ज्यादा ज़ख्मी इस वक्त अस्पतालों में भर्ती हैं.
अपने त्यागपत्र में के.पी.शर्मा ओली ने लिखा है कि वह राजनीतिक तरीकों से समस्या के समाधान में मदद के लिए इस्तीफा दे रहे हैं. मंगलवार शाम को सर्वदलीय बैठक बुलाई गई है, लेकिन इस वक्त नेताओं और राजनीतिक दलों के खिलाफ गुस्सा चरम पर है. नेपाल में राजशाही की समाप्ति के बाद पिछले कई सालों से साझा सरकारें बनती और टूट रही थी.
संकट का तात्कालिक कारण था – तमाम सोशल मीडिया पर ओली सरकार द्वारा लगाया गया प्रतिबंध. तीन सितंबर को नेपाल में 26 सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर सरकार ने पाबंदी लगा दी. ओली की सरकार का दावा था कि सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स नेपाल में अस्थिरता को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं, नेपाल के कानून का पालन नहीं करते, इसलिए बैन जरूरी है. 3 सिंतबर को बैन लगा और सोमवार सुबह GEN Z आंदोलन शुरू हो गया.
लाखों की तादाद में नौजवान सड़कों पर आ गए. हालांकि प्रदर्शनकारियों ने जो पोस्टर्स हाथों में ले रखे थे, उनमें सोशल मीडिया पर पाबंदी के खिलाफ नारे नहीं थे. ज्यादातर पोस्टर्स में सरकारी भ्रश्टाचार, बेरोजगारी, युवाओं का पलायन और गरीबी जैसे मुद्दों से जुड़े नारे लिखे थे. सरकार और पुलिस को इतनी बड़ी संख्या में प्रदर्शनकारियों के जुटने की भनक तक नहीं थी.
नेपाल में जो प्रोटेस्ट हो रहा है, उसे नाम दिया गया है, Gen-Z मूवमेंट. आंदोलन कर रहे युवा जो पोस्टर-बैनर लेकर आए थे, उसमें लिखा था “Gen-Z Movement in Nepal”. Gen Z शब्द उस युवा पीढ़ी के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है, जिनका जन्म 1997 से 2012 के बीच हुआ है. ये पीढ़ी इंटरनेट, डिजिटल टेक्नोलॉजी और सोशल मीडिया के युग में बड़ी हुई है, इसलिए इसे ‘digital natives’ भी कहा जाता है.
Gen-Z के युवा इंस्टाग्राम, यूट्यूब, फेसबुक, ट्वीटर और टिकटॉक जैसे सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर ज्यादा सक्रिय रहते हैं. बहुत से नौजवानों के लिए ये प्लेटफॉर्म्स कमाई का जरिया हैं. नेपाल में बेरोजगारी बहुत ज्यादा है. ज्यादातर परिवारों के बच्चे नौकरी, पढ़ाई के लिए पलायन करते हैं, विदेश जाते हैं.
नेपाल की आबादी करीब तीन करोड़ है. इनमें से करीब अस्सी लाख लोग विदेश में हैं. करीब पैंतालीस लाख नेपाली तो भारत में रहते हैं. आपको जानकर हैरानी होगी कि विदेश में रहने वाले नेपाली जो पैसा अपने घर भेजते हैं, वो नेपाल की कुल GDP का पच्चीस प्रतिशत है. विदेश में रहने वाले रिश्तेदारों से बात भी सोशल मीडिया के जरिए होती है.
नेपाल में करीब एक करोड़ सत्तर लाख लोगों के पास इंटरनेट एक्सेस है. 1 करोड़ 43 लाख लोगों का सोशल मीडिया पर अकाउंट हैं. फेसबुक यूजर्स करीब एक करोड़ चालीस लाख हैं. मैंसेंजर पर एक करोड़ नौ लाख नेपाली हैं. 85 लाख लोगों का यूट्यूब पर अकाउंट है. साठ लाख व्हाट्सएप यूजर्स हैं. चालीस लाख नेपाली इन्स्टा पर रील्स अपलोड करते हैं. इसीलिए जैसे ही सरकार ने सोशल मीडिया ऐप्स पर बैन लगाया तो नौजवान भड़क गए.
पुलिस फायरिंग में 21 लोगों की मौत के बाद नेपाल के गृह मंत्री ने इस्तीफा दिया, लेकिन युवाओं की नाराज़गी कम नहीं हुई. उनका गुस्सा पूरी सरकार के खिलाफ हैं. सोशल मीडिया ऐप्स पर बैन ने तो इस आंदोलन के लिए ट्रिगर प्वाइंट का काम किया, लेकिन हकीकत ये है कि नेपाल में लंबे वक्त से अंदर ही अंदर के पी शर्मा ओली की सरकार के खिलाफ नाराजगी बढ़ रही थी.
नेपाल में पिछले 35 साल के दौरान 32 बार सरकारें आई और गईं. पिछले 10 साल में नौ बार प्रधानमंत्री बदले हैं. केपी शर्मा ओली की सरकार को नेपाली कांग्रेस का समर्थन मिल रहा था. कम्युनिस्ट विचारधारा से जुड़े होने की वजह से केपी शर्मा धीरे-धीरे नेपाल को चीन की तरफ ले जा रहे हैं. मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सेक्टर बर्बाद हो रहा था. युवाओं को लग रहा था कि उनके नेता बिक गए हैं. इसलिए आज जो आंदोलन हुआ, उसमें सोशल मीडिया ऐप्स पर बैन के अलावा सबने भ्रष्टाचार का भी ज़िक्र किया.
नेपाल में नौजवानों की मौत और बड़ी संख्या में उनका घायल होना दुखद और दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है.
ऐसा लगा कि नेपाल सरकार ऐसी किसी स्थिति के लिए तैयार नहीं थी. उन्हें अंदाजा नहीं था कि नौजवान इतनी बड़ी संख्या में सड़कों पर उतर आएंगे. बिना हालात की गंभीरता को समझे जब गोली चलाई गई तो बात और बिगड़ गई. नेपाल में corruption, nepotism और recession को लेकर लोग परेशान हैं. नाराजगी की जो आग भीतर ही भीतर सुलग रही थी सोशल मीडिया प्लैटफार्म पर ban लगने से वो दबी हुई आग लपटों में बदल गई.
दो दिन पहले ही ओली ने कहा था कि उनकी सरकार के खिलाफ साजिश हो रही है, नौजवानों को भड़काया जा रहा है, एक बड़े आंदोलन की साजिश रची जा रही है लेकिन सरकार के खिलाफ षड्यंत्र कौन कर रहा है, ओली को कौन गिराना चाहता है, ये उन्होंने नहीं बताया.
लेकिन ये सही है कि ओली जिस तरह चीन के इशारों पर चलते हैं, चीन के निर्देशों का पालन करते हैं, उससे भी लोग नाराज हैं. सबने देखा कि ओली ने Chinese app TikTok को छोड़कर बाकी सारे सोशल मीडिया प्लैटफार्म पर ban लगाया. किसी को आश्चर्य नहीं होगा कि अगर वो ये कहें कि नेपाल में जो रहा है, उसके पीछे भारत का हाथ है.
जहां तक भारत का सवाल है, भारत सरकार के पास इन हालात पर नजर रखने के अलावा कोई और विकल्प भी नहीं है. नेपाल से हमारी सीमा लगती है. नेपाल के लोग हमारे यहां बेरोक-टोक आते जाते हैं. सीमा के आसपास के इलाकों में रोटी-बेटी का संबंध है. इसीलिए जैसे ही नेपाल में हालात खराब हुए तो सीमा पर चौकसी बढ़ा दी गई है.

Nepal Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli today resigned along with his ministers, after continued anti-corruption protests in Kathmandu, Pokhra and other cities of the country turned violent. Sources said, the Prime Minister had to resign after the Army Chief Gen. Ashok Raj Sigdel advised him to first quit so that the army could bring the situation under control.
Protesters on Tuesday set fire to the Parliament, offices of major political parties and residences of the PM and other ministers. Several ministers were beaten up mobs on the streets and they ran for their life. Army used helicopters to bring the fleeing ministers to army barracks for safety. Former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was injured when he was beaten up by an angry mob.
India has put its border security personnel on high alert as ministers, bureaucrats and other political leaders are running for their lives from angry protesters. Kathmandu international airport has been closed after reports came of protesters making their away to the airport to stop leaders and bureaucrats from fleeing.
This is indeed a major revolt by Nepali youths, described in media as GenZ. Already the young generation was seething in anger over unemployment and inflation, and Oli’s government imposed a ban on all social media platforms, forcing angry youths to come out on the streets.
At least 21 youths have died in police firing and more than 250 others have been injured. Four journalists were also hit by bullets. Most of the deaths were caused by bullet shots in the chest, according to a Kathmandu hospital superintendent.
In his resignation letter, Oli has written that he was stepping down to facilitate a solution to the problem and to help resolve the crisis through political means. An all-party meeting has been called on Tuesday evening, but there is widespread anger among people towards politicians. Nepal has witnessed a series of coalition governments in recent years.
The death of a large number of Nepalese youths is indeed unfortunate and said. It appears the Nepalese government was not ready to face such an eventuality. The government had no idea that thousands of youths would come out on the streets to protest. Indiscriminate firing by security forces fuelled the protests.
The common people of Nepal are suffering from what they say, “corruption, nepotism and recession”. The fire of disenchantment with politicians was simmering for the last several years mostly among the young generation. When Facebook, YouTube, X and other social media platforms were banned, the simmering anger took the form of a raging fire.
Two days ago, K.P. Sharma Oli had alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched to dethrone his government and youths were being provoked to come out on the streets. But Oli did not mention who was hatching this conspiracy and who wants to unseat his government.
But one thing is clear. Oli had been dancing to the tunes set by neighbouring China. People were angry with him on this score. People noted that Oli’s government had banned all other social media platforms except the Chinese app TikTok. Nobody will be surprised if Oli now says that it is India which has provoked these street protests.
As far as India is concerned, the government has no other options but to keep a close watch on the situation. India has a long border with this landlocked nation. People of both countries travel to and fro easily through this border. In some of the border areas, there are families who have relatives on the other side. For India, it is a time to wait and watch.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने आखिरकार मान लिया है कि भारत के खिलाफ उनकी बयानबाजी का दांव उल्टा पड़ गया. भारत पर 50% टैरिफ लगाने की चाल ने भारत को अमेरिका से दूर कर दिया.
ट्रंप को एहसास हो गया कि वो मोदी को झुकाने में फेल हो गए. ट्रंप ने सोशल मीडिया पर यह कह कर सब को चौंका दिया कि ” ऐसा लगता है कि अमेरिका ने भारत और रूस का साथ खो दिया है, भारत और रूस अब गहरे अंधेरे में चीन के साथ खड़े हो गए हैं. ”
इसके बाद ट्रंप ने तंज़ कसते हुए लिखा कि भगवान करे कि इन तीनों का भविष्य उज्ज्वल हो. जहां ट्रंप ने ये सब लिखा, वहां ट्रंप ने मोदी, पुतिन और शी जिनपिंग की तस्वीर लगाई.
ट्रंप के इस बयान पर भारत ने कोई प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त नहीं की . उधर, ट्रम्प ने शुक्रवार को ही पत्रकारों से बात करते हुए कहा कि मुझे नहीं लगता कि हम भारत को चीन के हाथों खो चुके हैं. वैसे मैं भारत द्वारा रूस से तेल खरीदे जाने को लेकर बहुत निराश था. और ये बात मैेने उन्हें बता दी.
ट्रंप ने इसके साथ ही उसी पत्रकार वार्ता में भारत की तरफ दोस्ती का हाथ बढ़ा दिया. ट्रंप ने कहा, मैं हमेशा मोदी का दोस्त रहूंगा. मोदी एक महान प्रधानमंत्री हैं. वो वाकई महान हैं. लेकिन इस वक्त वह जो कर रहे हैं वह मुझे पसंद नहीं है. लेकिन भारत और अमेरिका के बीच विशेष संबंध है. इसे लेकर चिन्ता करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं.
इसके फौरन बाद दिल्ली में शनिवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने X पर ये कमेंट लिखा, मैं राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप की भावनाओं और हमारे आपसी संबंधों के सकारात्मक मूल्यांकन की तहे दिल से सराहना और समर्थन करता हूं. भारत और अमेरिका के बीच एक अत्यन्त सकारात्मक और भविष्योन्मुखी व्यापक और वैश्विक रणनीतिक साझेदारी है.
डॉनल्ड ट्रंप ने अपने पोस्ट में भले ही तंज़ कसा हो लेकिन इससे हताशा भी झलकती है. इसमें हताशा भी है, गलती का एहसास भी.
ट्रंप ने पहली बार चीन को वैश्विक शक्ति होने का certificate दिया है. पहली बार स्वीकार किया कि भारत, रूस और चीन के साथ आने से वो परेशान हैं.
ट्रंप जानते हैं कि भारत को चीन की तरफ धकेलने के लिए वो खुद ज़िम्मेदार हैं पर वो अपनी गलती कभी नहीं मानेंगे. सारी दुनिया ने देखा कि ट्रंप ने भारत के साथ ज्यादती की. मोदी को अपने बयानों से उकसाया, डराने की कोशिश की. पर मोदी न झुके, न डरे, न समझौता किया.
भारत का जवाब सटीक, सोचा-समझा और निशाने पर लगने वाला था. अमेरिका के experts कई दिन से कह रहे थे कि ट्रंप ने भारत जैसे पुराने दोस्त को दुश्मन बना दिया.
आज ट्रंप ने भी अपने action से इसे स्वीकार किया. सवाल ये है कि क्या भारत और अमेरिका के रिश्तों में दरार गहरी है, स्थायी है ?.
अमेरिकी प्रशासन में ऐसे कई लोग हैं जो कहते हैं कि ट्रंप जितनी जल्दी गरम होते हैं उतनी जल्दी नरम भी हो जाते हैं. उन्हें इस बात का एहसास हो गया है कि भारत से दोस्ती टूटने से नुकसान होगा.
अगर ट्रंप थोड़े दिन में बदल जाएं तो किसी को आश्चर्य नहीं होगा. लेकिन भारत का रुख बिल्कुल स्पष्ट है. stand clear है.भारत और अमेरिका के रिश्ते किसी एक व्यक्ति के मूड के मोहताज नहीं हैं.
आज का भारत बदला हुआ भारत है. अपने आत्मसम्मान से कोई समझौता नहीं करेगा.

US President Donald Trump has practically admitted that his remarks against India have worked adversely. He has admitted that he could not force Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accept his demands. Trump has publicly admitted that his 50 pc tariff move has alienated India from the US.
On Friday, Trump wrote on social media, “Looks like we’ve lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest, China. May they have a long and prosperous future together! President Donald J. Trump.” The remark was sarcastic, and, one the same day, while talking to reporters, Trump did his U-turn act.
Trump said: “I don’t think we have (lost India to China). I’ve been very disappointed that India would be buying so much oil, as you know, from Russia. And I let them know that.”
Trump extended an olive branch towards India. He said, “I always will, I will always be friends with Modi, he is a great Prime Minister, he is great….I just don’t like what he is doing at this particular moment, but India and the United States have a special relationship. There is nothing to worry about.”
In Delhi, Prime Minister Modi reacted on X on Saturday: “Deeply appreciate and fully reciprocate President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of our ties. India and the US have a very positive and forward-looking Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership.”
Donald Trump’s comment on Truth Social platform was no doubt sarcastic. It appears to be borne out of frustation. It also reflects his admission of mistake. For the first time, Trump gave the global power certificate to China and admitted that he is worried about India, Russia and China coming together.
Trump knows it is he who is responsible for pushing India towards China, but he is never going to admit that. The entire world has seen the excesses committed by Trump on India. He provoked Modi, tried to bully him, but the Indian Prime Minister was neither shaken, nor did he give in.
India’s reply was precise, calculated and targeted. American experts had been saying for last several days that it is Trump who converted an old friend like India into an enemy. Trump admitted his action through his social media comment.
The question is: Is the chasm between India and the US deep? Is it permanent? There are many in the US administration who say that Trump has a blow hot, blow cold habit. He has probably realised that breaking off friendly ties with India will prove to be a loss. None should be surprised if Trump changes his tune after some days, as he did on Saturday.
But India’s stand is quite clear. India-US relationship does not depend on the mood and fads of an individual. Today, the world is witnessing a changed India. It is not going to compromise on the issue of self-respect.
