अमेरिका से डिपोर्ट होकर आए भारतीयों की तस्वीरें दिल को दुखी करने वाली हैं. अमेरिकन वायु सेना के विमान में सवार अपने देश के लोगों को हाथों में हथकड़ी, पैरों में बेड़ी लगाए देखकर गुस्सा भी आया. अमेरिका की इस हरकत का जिक्र हमारी संसद में भी हुआ. विपक्ष के नेताओं ने कई तीखे सवाल पूछे. जैसे अमेरिकी सेना के विमान को भारत में उतरने की अनुमति क्यों दी गई? भारत सरकार ने भारतीयों को वापस लाने के लिए अपना विमान क्यों नहीं भेजा? भारतीयों को हथकड़ी और बेडियां लगाकर क्यों भेजा गया? सरकार ने इसका विरोध क्यों नहीं किया?

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने बताया कि अवैध प्रवासी भारतीयों को सरकार के साथ बातचीत के बाद ही अमेरिका से डिपोर्ट किया गया, डिपोर्ट करने वाले लोगों को कैसे भेजा जाए, इसका फैसला डिपोर्ट करने वाले देश की नीति के आधार पर होता है, इसपर हमारी सरकार का कोई बस नहीं चलता, हालांकि डिपोर्ट करते समय उनको अमानवीय तरीके से न लाया जाए, इसकी कोशिश भी भारत सरकार कर रही है, जो लोग अमेरिकी सेना के विमान से अमृतसर पहुंचे, उनकी सूची भारत सरकार को पहले से दी गई थी, सरकार ने इन लोगों के कागज़ात चैक किए थे, जब पूरी तरह से उनकी पहचान स्थापित हो गई, उसके बाद ही इन लोगों को भारत भेजा गया.

एस जयशंकर ने बताया कि अब सरकार अमेरिका से वापस भेजे गए एक-एक भारतीय नागरिक से बात कर रही है, ये पता लगा रही है कि वो अमेरिका कैसे पहुंचे, किस रास्ते से पहुंचे, किन लोगों की मदद से पहुंचे जिससे उन गिरोहों का पता लगाया जा सके, जो भोले-भाले लोगों को मुसीबत में फंसाकर पैसा बनाते हैं. जो लोग वापस आए हैं, ये लोग ह्यूमन ट्रैफिकिंग में लगे गिरोहों को लाखों रूपए देकर अमेरिका पहुंचे थे. ये रकम जमीन जायदाद बेचकर इकट्ठा की थी. अब इन लोगों के पास न जमीन बची, न नौकरी.

अमेरिका ने जिस तरह से हथकड़ी-बेड़ी पहनाकर भारतीय नागरिकों को डिपोर्ट किया वह आमानवीय है, इंसानियत के खिलाफ है. ये सही है कि ये लोग गैरकानूनी तरीके से अमेरिका गए. वो ट्रंप के लिए अपराधी हैं और अमेरिका ने कई देशों के अवैध प्रवासियों को इसी तरह निकालने का फैसला किया है. ये उनका अधिकार है लेकिन इंसानों के साथ जानवरों की तरह सलूक करने का अधिकार किसी के पास नहीं है. अमेरिका ने अवैध भारतीय प्रवासियों को पहले भी इसी तरह भेजा है. पहले भी निर्वासन इसी तरह अमानवीय तरीके से हुए थे. क्योंकि अमेरिकी सरकार का स्टैंडर्ड ऑपरेटिंग प्रोसिजर है, जिसके तहत अवैध प्रवासियों को हथकड़ी और बेड़ियां पहनाकर डिपोर्ट किया जाता है. इसी SoP के आधार पर डिपोर्टेशन 2012 से किया जा रहा है लेकिन पहले की सरकारों ने इस बारे में कुछ नहीं किया. इसीलिए अमेरिकी सेना के विमान में सवार हथकड़ी बेड़ी पहने भारतीयों की तस्वीरें देखने को मिलीं.

ये तस्वीरें वाकई दुखदायी हैं. जिन लोगों को डिपोर्ट किया गया, उनमें से ज्यादातर लोगों का कोई आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड नहीं है. उन्हें एजेंट ने धोखा दिया, एजेंट को पैसा देने के लिए किसी ने कर्ज लिया, किसी ने जायदाद बेची, किसी ने अपना घर गिरवी रख दिया. इनमें से बहुत सारे लोगों से इंडिया टीवी के रिपोर्टर्स ने बात की. इन लोगों की कहानी लगभग एक जैसी है. ज्यादातर नौजवान, सामान्य परिवारों के हैं. कोई बारहवीं पास है, तो कोई ग्रेजुएट. इन्होंने अच्छी नौकरी और बेहतर जिंदगी के सपने देखे. अमेरिका जाने के लिए एजेंट्स के चक्कर में फंसे. मां-बाप ने बच्चों की मदद की, उनकी अच्छी जिंदगी के लिए सब कुछ बेचकर पैसा जुटाया. किसी को ये अंदाजा नहीं था कि उनके साथ इतना बड़ा धोखा होगा लेकिन अब तो सब बर्बाद हो गया.

मां-बाप को सिर्फ इस बात का सुकून है कि बेटा वापस आ गया, पर बेटे को चिंता इस बात की है कि जमीन जायजाद सब बिक गया, ऊपर से कर्ज भी है, वो कैसे उतरेगा. अच्छी बात ये है कि सरकार ने स्वीकार किया कि अवैध तरीके से अमेरिका भेजने वाले गिरोह सक्रिय हैं. विदेश मंत्री ने भरोसा दिलाया कि सरकार अमेरिका से वापस भेजे गए लोगों से बात करेगी और उन गिरोहों तक पहुंचेगी जो इस तरह के गैरकानूनी काम करते हैं.

ये करना बहुत जरूरी है ताकि आगे किसी के साथ इस तरह का अन्याय न हो. हमने जिन लोगों की बातें सुनी, उनसे ये सबक मिलता है कि कोई एजेंट चालीस लाख, साठ लाख रूपए लेकर अमेरिका या किसी भी देश में भेजने का भरोसा दे, तो उसके चक्कर में न फंसे वरना जेल ही पहुंचेंगे. अगर विदेश जाना ही है, तो वीजा के लिए एप्लाई करें. सही कागज़ात लेकर ही विदेश जाएं.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela on Wednesday. He stayed for only two hours at the Maha Kumbh, performed prayers for Maa Ganga as per Vedic rites and returned to Delhi quickly, in order to avoid any inconvenience to lakhs of devotees who had gone to Prayagraj.

On his return, Modi went on X tweeting, “I feel unlimited peace and satisfaction on getting the blessings of Maa Ganga, I prayed for the welfare, prosperity, happiness and better health of my countrymen”.

Politicians from opposition parties took a dig at Modi for taking a holy dip. Congress, Samajwadi Party and Shiv Sena (Uddhav) connected Modi’s holy dip with the Delhi assembly elections. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, Modi could have chosen some other day, but since there was polling in Delhi, Modi wanted Delhi voters to look at his images on television.

Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said, Modi is a master in event management and this was the reason why he chose Delhi polling day for taking a holy dip. UP Congress chief Ajay Rai said, Modi did not perform the holy dip fully and there was no point in taking half a dip.

I do not find anything wrong in Prime Minister Modi offering prayers to the Sun God and Maa Ganga while taking a holy dip at Sangam. If political leaders think that taking a holy dip will bring in votes in Delhi elections, then who stopped Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi from doing so? They could also have taken a holy dip. The Maha Kumbh is open to all.

One leader commented that Modi had taken a holy dip in order to “wash off his sins”. Did he want to say that millions of Indians who took a holy dip at Sangam had committed sins? Does he want to say that all the sadhus, Shankaracharyas and ascetics who have taken a holy dip were washing off their sins?

I think those who use such language do not understand the true meaning of Indian culture and Sanatan dharma, nor are they away of its true legacy. These leaders do not understand the sentiments and faith of millions of Indians. But since some leaders have this habit of taking digs at Modi, they leave no opportunity. Comments of such people should be ignored.

उत्तर प्रदेश में बुधवार को जब अखिलेश यादव मिल्कीपुर उपचुनाव में पुलिस पर पक्षपात के आरोप लगा रहे थे, उस वक्त मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ महाकुंभ में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के साथ थे. नरेंद्र मोदी संगम में डुबकी लगा रहे थे. मोदी के महाकुंभ दौरे को लेकर ज़्यादा शोरशराबा नहीं हुआ, न नेताओं की भीड़ थी, न सुरक्षा का ज्यादा तामझाम था. मोदी के स्वागत के लिए सिर्फ योगी पहुंचे थे. प्रधानमंत्री मेला क्षेत्र से होकर संगम तक नहीं गए. हवाईअड्डे से सीधे अरैल घाट पहुंचे, उसके बाद स्टीमर से संगम तक गए. जिस वक्त मोदी अरैल घाट से संगम की तरफ बढ़ रहे थे, उस वक्त लाखों लोग गंगा स्नान कर रहे थे. मोदी ने हाथ हिला कर घाटों पर मौजूद लाखों लोगों का अभिवादन किया.

मोदी ने वैदिक मंत्रोच्चारण के बीच संगम में डुबकी लगाई. इसके बाद खड़े होकर मां गंगा को प्रणाम किया, रूद्राक्ष की माला लेकर मंत्रों का जाप किया, इसके बाद सूर्यदेव को अर्घ्य दिया. स्नान और ध्यान के बाद मोदी ने पूरे विधि-विधान के साथ गंगा पूजन किया. प्रधानमंत्री ने गंगा जल का आचमन किया, संकल्प किया, गंगा मैया को चुनरी चढ़ाई, माला चढ़ाई, पुष्प दूध, जल, पंच-द्रव्य और नैवेद्य चढ़ाए. इसके बाद मां गंगा की आरती की.

आमतौर पर गंगा स्नान के बाद अक्षय वट के दर्शन की परंपरा है लेकिन लाखों श्रद्धालुओं को होने वाली दिक्कतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए मोदी वहां नहीं गए. प्रधानमंत्री सिर्फ दो घंटे ही कुंभ क्षेत्र में थे. बाद में अपनी भावनाएं ट्वीट के जरिए शेयर की. प्रधानमंत्री ने लिखा कि “मां गंगा का आशीर्वाद पाकर मन को असीम शांति और संतोष मिला है, मैंने सभी देशवासियों की सुख-समृद्धि, आरोग्य और कल्याण की कामना की.”

लेकिन महाकुंभ में प्रधानमंत्री का जाना और गंगा में डुबकी लगाना, विरोधियों को रास नहीं आया. कांग्रेस, समाजवादी पार्टी और उद्धव ठाकरे की शिवसेना ने इसे चुनाव से जोड़ दिया. संजय राउत ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री ने जानबूझकर दिल्ली में मतदान वाला दिन चुना, मोदी चाहते थे कि लोग दिन भर उन्हें देखें और उनकी पार्टी को वोट दें.

महाराष्ट्र कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले ने कहा कि मोदी ईवेंट के आयोजन में माहिर हैं, इसीलिए वह दिल्ली में वोटिंग के दिन महाकुंभ में डुबकी लगाने पहुंचे. यूपी कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष अजय राय ने कहा कि मोदी ने चुनाव वाले दिन माहौल बनाने की कोशिश तो पूरी की, लेकिन उससे फायदा नहीं होने वाला, क्योंकि मोदी ने संगम में पूरी डुबकी नहीं लगाई, आधी डुबकी का कोई मतलब नहीं है.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अगर संगम में स्नान किया, मां गंगा की आरती की, सूर्य को अर्घ्य दिया, तो इसमें बुराई क्या है? अगर इससे दिल्ली के चुनाव में वोट मिलते हैं तो फिर केजरीवाल और राहुल गांधी को किसने रोका था? वे भी डुबकी लगा लेते. महाकुंभ तो सबके लिए खुला है.

किसी ने ये कमेंट किया कि मोदी अपने पाप धोने गए हैं. तो क्या करोड़ों लोग जो महाकुंभ में स्नान करने गए हैं, उन्होंने पाप किए हैं? जो साधू संत, धर्माचार्य, शंकराचार्य संगम में श्रद्धापुर्वक स्नान कर रहे हैं, क्या वो अपने पाप धो रहे हैं?

मुझे लगता है कि इस तरह की भाषा का प्रयोग करने वाले न सनातन को समझते हैं, न भारत की संस्कृति को, न विरासत को जानते हैं और न ही भारत के लोगों की भावनाओं को समझते हैं. लेकिन कुछ लोग आरोप लगाने में माहिर हैं, वे कोई मौका नहीं छोड़ते. इसीलिए ऐसे लोगों की परवाह नहीं करनी चाहिए.

In a no-holds-barred attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and Gandhi-Nehru dynasty, a day before Delhi elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about “jacuzzi in Sheesh Mahal” and “photo-ops with poor in huts”. He was alluding to Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi respectively in his jibes.

Modi said, nowadays it has become a fashion to speak about caste census and some leaders are moving around with a copy of Constitution in their pockets, yet they are ignorant about its real spirit. Alluding to the presence of Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi in Parliament, Modi posed a question, “How many scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes have three members from the same family simultaneously serving as MPs?”

On Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks that “we are fighting the RSS, BJP and the Indian state”, Modi, without naming him, replied: “ “These people who speak the language of urban Naxals, who declare war against the Indian State, can neither understand the Constitution nor about the country’s unity.”

On Sonia Gandhi’s “poor thing” remark about President Droupadi Murmu, Modi said, “After the President’s Address, she is a woman President, daughter from a poor family, if you cannot respect her, it is up to you. But why is she being insulted? What is the reason?”

In his speech, Modi first took up the issue of poverty since Rahul and other opposition leaders had alleged during the debate that his government was working in favour of industrialists. Modi replied in detail, how his government worked to bring 25 crore people above the poverty level, ensured they got food, provided 12 crore toilets, supplied piped drinking water, built more than 4 crore houses and provided electricity connections.

Without naming Rahul Gandhi, Modi said, those who do photo-sessions with the poor inside their huts will not feel the pain of being poor. He said, those who were giving the slogan “Garibi Hatao” for decades, will surely find the President’s speech about eradication of poverty as “boring”.

Modi then took up the issue of corruption and reminded the House how former PM Rajiv Gandhi used to say that out of one rupee sent from the Centre, only 15 paise reached the poor. “There is no more sleight of hand now, and Rs 12 lakh crore has been saved by plugging loopholes” by removing crores of fake names from ration cards.

Without naming Arvind Kejriwal, Modi said, “Some people who came to power have installed jacuzzi and imported showers and built Sheesh Mahal with people’s money.” He was referring to crores of rupees spent on rebuilding and renovating the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence.

Towards the end of his speech, Modi made a meaningful remark. He said, “our third term has only begun. We will continue to work for building a Viksit Bharat”.

To understand the nuances from Modi’s speech, one can divide it into three parts.

One, he targeted Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal. By mentioning the SC, ST MPs, he targeted Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi and exposed Rahul Gandhi’s double standards. He also explained to people about those who find the President’s address as “boring” and those who “speak the language of urban Naxals”. By mentioning jacuzzi showers inside the Sheesh Mahal, he raised questions about Kejriwal’s “neeti and neeyat” (policy and intent).

Modi’s second focus was on poverty. Citing facts and figures, he explained how his government worked for the betterment of the life of poorer sections, saved money that was being siphoned off, and provided houses, toilets, piped water, cheap medicines and cheap education. He also explained how his government saved crores of rupees by saving electricity through promotion of LED bulbs. He explained how his government plugged all loopholes and ensured that every rupee sent from the Centre reached the poor through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Modi’s third focus was on the youth. He mentioned how the space, defence, semi-conductor, nuclear energy sectors have been opened up to create fresh job opportunities. How gaming and robot technology is being encouraged to create new opportunities. How Startup India has helped youths to stand on their own legs. Modi was, in effect, replying to all questions raised by Rahul Gandhi.

Modi’s final comment must have caused heartburn to Rahul Gandhi. He said, “our third term has only begun. You will have to wait.” Picture Abhi Baaki Hai.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने लोकसभा में गांधी-नेहरू परिवार पर अब तक का सबसे तीखा हमला किया. मोदी ने कहा कि आजकल जाति की बात करना फैशन हो गया है, कुछ लोग संविधान की कॉपी लेकर जेब में घूमते हैं, लेकिन उन्हें संविधान की भावना का मतलब भी नहीं मालूम.

मोदी ने कहा कि जो लोग दलितों की बात करते हैं, वो बताएं कि देश के इतिहास में क्या अब तक ऐसा हुआ है, जब एक ही दलित परिवार के तीन सदस्य एक साथ एक वक्त में सांसद रहे हों.इशारा सोनिया, राहुल, प्रिय़ंका की तरफ था. मोदी ने कहा, जो लोग गरीब की झोपड़ी में जाकर फोटो सेशन कराते हैं, वो गरीबी का मतलब ही नहीं जानते, इसीलिए उनको गरीब परिवार से आई राष्ट्रपति महोदया का भाषण बोरिंग लगता है.

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि जो लोग अर्बन नक्सल की भाषा बोल रहे हैं, इंडियन स्टेट के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोलने की बात कर रहे हैं, वो न संविधान की मर्यादा को समझते हैं, न देश की एकता का महत्व समझ सकते हैं. मोदी ने अपने भाषण की शुरूआत में गरीबी का मुद्दा उठाया. चूंकि राहुल गांधी और कांग्रेस के दूसरे नेताओं ने चर्चा के दौरान इल्ज़ाम लगाया था कि मोदी सरकार सिर्फ अमीरों के लिए काम कर रही है, उद्योगपतियों पर मेहरबान है, सरकार गरीब विरोधी है, इसलिए मोदी ने बताया कि उनकी सरकार ने गरीबों के लिए क्या क्या किया. 25 करोड़ लोगों को गरीबी रेखा के नीचे से कैसे निकाला, सबके लिए दो वक्त की रोटी का इंतजाम कैसे किया, हर घर तक नल से जल कैसे पहुंचाया, 12 करोड़ से ज्यादा टॉयेलट बनवाए, 4 करोड़ से ज्यादा गरीबों को पक्के घर दिए, गरीबों के घर तक बिजली के कनेक्शन पहुंचाए.

इसके बाद मोदी ने बिना नाम लिए राहुल गांधी पर हमला किया, कहा कि गरीब की झोपड़ी में फोटो सेशन कराने से गरीबी के दर्द का एहसास नहीं हो सकता, जो लोग दशकों तक गरीबी दूर करने का नारा देते रहे, उन्हें तो गरीब परिवार से आई राष्ट्रपति के मुंह से गरीबों की बात करना भी नहीं पच रहा. इसीलिए उन लोगों को राष्ट्ररपति का भाषण बोरिंग लगता है.

इसके बाद मोदी ने भ्रष्टाचार का मुद्दा उठाया, पहले राजीव गांधी का भाषण याद दिलाया जिसमें उन्होंने कहा था कि अगर दिल्ली से एक रुपया जाता है, तो जनता तक सिर्फ पन्द्रह पैसे पहुंचते हैं. मोदी ने कहा कि अब हाथ की ऐसी सफाई नहीं चलती, घोटालों के सारे रास्ते रोक दिए हैं, इससे 12 लाख करोड़ रूपए बचे हैं और इस पैसे का इस्तेमाल जनता के कामों में हुआ.

मोदी ने नाम लिए बग़ैर अरविन्द केजरीवाल को निशाने पर लिया. कहा कि कुछ पार्टियां देश के लिए आपदा बन गईं हैं, झूठे वादे करके सत्ता में आती हैं और फिर घोटालों से सुर्ख़ियां बटोरती हैं, कुछ लोग सत्ता में आते हैं, तो इम्पोर्टेड शॉवर और जकूज़ी लगवाते हैं, जनता के पैसे से शीशमहल बनवाते हैं.

मोदी के भाषण को समझने के लिए मोटे तौर पर तीन हिस्सों में बांटा जा सकता है.

पहला, उन्होंने राहुल गांधी और केजरीवाल को आड़े हाथों लिया, SC-ST का जिक्र करते हुए सोनिया राहुल और प्रियंका को लपेटे में लिया. परिवार के तीन सांसद गिनाकर राहुल के दोहरे मापदंड को उजागर कर दिया. गरीब की बात किसे बोरिंग लगी, अर्बन नक्सल की भाषा कौन बोलता है, ये भी समझा दिया. शीशमहल और जकूजी का जिक्र करके केजरीवाल की नीति और नीयत दोनों पर सवाल खड़ा कर दिया.

मोदी का दूसरा फोकस गरीब पर था. मोदी ने आंकड़ों के साथ समझाया कि उनकी सरकार ने जो काम किए, उनसे गरीब आदमी का कितना पैसा बचा, जब घर बने, शौचालय बने, नल से जल मिला, सस्ती दवाई और सस्ती पढ़ाई मिली, तो इससे क्या बचा, LED बल्ब जैसी योजनाओं से कितनी बचत हुई. मोदी ने ये भी समझाया कि सरकार को जो पैसा बचा, उसका इस्तेमाल कैसे गरीब कल्याण के लिए किया गया.

मोदी का तीसरा फोकस युवाओं पर था, युवाओं के लिए स्पेस, डिफेंस, सेमी कंडक्टर, न्यूक्लियर एनर्जी सेक्टर खुलने से कैसे रोजगार के नए अवसर पैदा हुए. गेमिंग और रोबोट पर जोर देने से नए अवसर पैदा हुए. स्टार्टअप इंडिया ने नौजवानों को अपने पैरों पर खड़े होना सिखाया. इसके पीछे राहुल गांधी द्वारा उठाए गए हर सवाल का जवाब भी था.

लेकिन मोदी का आखिरी कमेंट राहुल को सबसे ज्यादा चुभा होगा. जब मोदी ने कहा अभी तो हमारा तीसरा टर्म ही है, तब मोदी ने राहुल से कह दिया, उन्हें अभी और इंतजार करना होगा, पिक्चर अभी बाकी है.

In his one-hour long speech in Lok Sabha on Monday, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi levelled several allegations, like China “sitting over 4,000 sq km of our land”, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar visiting the US “to get an invitation for Prime Minister Modi” to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration event.

However, his most serious clear charge was related to the recently held Maharashtra assembly elections. Rahul Gandhi alleged that “between the Lok Sabha polls, which the INDIA bloc won, and the assembly elections, the number of nearly 70 lakh voters, equivalent to the population of Himachal Pradesh was added in the Maharashtra electoral rolls during the period of five months.

Rahul Gandhi alleged, “more voters were added in five months compared to the last five years in Maharashtra.”

He cited an example alleging that nearly 7,000 new voters were added in one building in Shirdi after the Lok Sabha polls. Rahul Gandhi said, “we have repeatedly requested the Election commission to give us the Lok Sabha voters’ list and that of the Vidhan Sabha. We are telling the Election Commission to ‘please give us names and addresses of voters of all booths from the Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections’, so that we can calculate who these voters are.”

The Leader of Opposition alleged that the new voters were added mostly in those constituencies where the BJP candidates eventually won. He demanded that the Election Commission must give the data about Maharashtra elections to the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP(Sharad Pawar) parties, so that these parties can check exactly where new voters were added and where names of voters were deleted.

Rahul Gandhi said, “in order to safeguard our Constitution, the entire opposition is requesting data from the EC on Maharashtra electoral rolls”.

The Congress leader also raised the issue of selection of Election Commissioners. “Earlier, the selection committee consisted of the PM, the Leader of Opposition and the Chief Justice of India, but later the government removed the Chief Justice from the committee, and added the Home Minister. This raises a crucial question for the Prime Minister. Why was this change made?”

Rahul Gandhi went on: “In a few days, I will be attending the meeting of this selection committee where Mr Amit Shah and Mr Narendra Modi will be there, but it is like an uneven playing field, with a 2:1 ratio. What’s the point of my attending this meeting? Am I merely there to rubber-stamp what Modi ji and Amit Shah ji propose? .. The presence of the Chief Justice would have facilitated a more balanced discussion… To remove the CJI from the committee seems to be part of a deliberate strategy.”

The moot point is: Rahul Gandhi has questioned the results of Maharashtra elections by alleging that 70 lakh voters were added in the intervening period of five months between LS and assembly polls.

The Congress party had written a long letter to the Election Commission, and the poll body replied in 66 pages. The Election Commission countered the Congress’ charges regarding alleged addition of 50,000 electors between July and November 2024 in 50 Assembly constituencies (ACs), 47 of which were allegedly won by the Mahayuti coalition.

The Election Commission clarified that only six constituencies saw an increase of over 50,000 electors during this period. Therefore, the assumption that the results in 47 assembly constituencies were influenced by this factor is inaccurate, the EC said.

The EC also provided a detailed explanation of the transparent and regulated process of updating electoral rolls, which involves political parties at every stage. The Commission, in its reply to the Congress party, had said that preparation of electoral rolls was a meticulous, transparent, and participatory process. All political parties, including Congress, are involved at each stage of the updation process. Any additions or deletions of voters are carried out strictly in accordance with the rules, with full participation from political parties, the EC had said.

On the allegation that 70 lakh new voters were added, the Election Commission described the figure as inaccurate. The EC said, 41 lakh new voters were added, out of which 26 lakh new voters were those who had attained the minimum voting age. Among them, nine lakh voters were in the 18-19 years age group. They were young first time voters who had added their names in the electoral list.

The Election Commission analysed that out of nearly one lakh polling booths in Maharashtra, if 40 voters are added per polling booth on an average, then the figure of 41 lakh new voters cannot be described as surprising.

From time to time, Election Commission carries out revision of electoral rolls. In 2018, when the revision of electoral rolls took place, more than 28 lakh voters were added within two months in Maharashtra. Nobody raised any question at that time.

It is surprising that Rahul Gandhi had the point-wise rebuttal sent by the Election Commission in his hand, in which each query was answered, and yet he tried to make it an issue in his speech.

लोकसभा में राष्ट्रपति के अभिभाषण पर पेश धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव पर चर्चा में हिस्सा लेते हुए प्रतिपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी ने सरकार पर कई आरोप लगाए. उन्होंने कहा कि विदेश मंत्री जयशंकर अमेरिका गए थे ताकि प्रधानमंत्री को ट्रंप के शपथ ग्रहण समारोह का न्यौता दिला सकें. संसदीय कार्य मंत्री किरेन रिजीजू ने उनके इस इल्जाम को गलत बताया, अपना बयान वापस लेने को कहा. फिर राहुल गांधी ने चीन के बहाने सरकार पर हमला बोला, हा कि चीन ने हमारी 4,000 वर्ग किलोमीटर भूमि पर क़ब्ज़ा कर रखा है. किरन रिजीजू ने टोका, कहा कि राहुल को चीन की बात पर भरोसा है लेकिन हमारी सेना पर यकीन नहीं है.

इसके बाद राहुल गांधी ने चुनाव आग को निशाने पर लिया. महाराष्ट्र में कांग्रेस के महाविकास आघाड़ी की बुरी हार के लिए चुनाव आयोग को जिम्मेदार ठहराया. उन्होंने कहा कि लोकसभा और विधानसभा चुनाव के बीच राज्य में 76 लाख वोटर बढ़ गए, बीजेपी ने महाराष्ट्र का चुनाव इन्हीं नए वोटर्स की वजह से जीता. राहुल ने कहा कि बार बार मांगने पर भी चुनाव आयोग उन्हें नए वोटर्स का डेटा नहीं दे रहा है.

राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि हिमाचल प्रदेश की आबादी के बराबर नए मतदाता महाराष्ट्र की वोटर लिस्ट में जोड़े गए, ज्यादातर नए मतदाता उन्हीं विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में जोड़े गए, जहां बीजेपी ने विधानसभा चुनाव में जीत हासिल की. मैं चुनाव आयोग पर कोई इल्ज़ाम नहीं लगा रहा हूं, लेकिन मैं सदन में कह रहा हूं कि चुनाव आयोग को महाराष्ट्र के मतदाताओं से जुड़े आंकड़े कांग्रेस को, शिवसेना को और NCP को देने होंगे और मुझे पूरा विश्वास है कि चुनाव आयोग हमें ये आंकड़े नहीं देगा. मैं ऐसा इसलिए कह रहा हूं क्योंकि नियम बदल दिए गए हैं. मैं ये बात कोई अचानक से नहीं कह रहा हूं.”

राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि चुनाव आयुक्तों का चयन पहले प्रधानमंत्री, नेता विपक्ष और देश के मुख्य न्यायाधीश मिलकर करते थे. “लेकिन नियम बदलकर, चीफ जस्टिस को चयन समिति से हटा दिया गया. क्यों? ये सवाल प्रधानमंत्री से है. वो बताएं कि चीफ जस्टिस को चयन समिति से क्यों हटाया गया. कुछ दिनों के बाद मैं चुनाव आयुक्त के चयन की बैठक में जा रहा हूं. उस बैठक में अमित शाह और मोदी जी भी होंगे. आप सोचिए, एक तरफ़ अमित शाह और मोदी होंगे, दूसरी तरफ़ मैं अकेला. ऐसी बैठक में जाने का क्या मतलब है? क्या मैं बैठक में सिर्फ़ इसलिए जा रहा हूं कि मोदी जी और अमित शाह जी ने जिसको नियुक्त करने का फ़ैसला किया है, उस पर मैं भी मुहर लगा दूं?”

राहुल गांधी ने महाराष्ट्र में विधानसभा और लोकसभा चुनाव के बीच 70 लाख वोटर्स जोड़ने की बात कहकर महाराष्ट्र के चुनाव के नतीजों पर सवाल खड़ा कर दिया. कांग्रेस पार्टी ने चुनाव आयोग को इस मामले में चुनाव के बाद एक लंबा पत्र लिखा था. चुनाव आयोग ने 66 पन्नों का जवाब दिया था. इसमें वोटर्स को लेकर कांग्रेस का आरोप था कि 50 चुनावक्षेत्रों में 50 हजार से ज्यादा वोट बढ़े. इनमें से 47 सीटें ऐसी थी जहां महाराष्ट्र में बीजेपी जीती. चुनाव आयोग ने इसे सरासर झूठ, गलत बताया.

चुनाव आयोग ने कहा कि सिर्फ छह विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में 50 हजार से ज्यादा नये वोटर जोडे गए थे, न कि 50 क्षेत्रों में.. 70 लाख वोटर के बारे में चुनाव आयोग ने कहा था ये आंकड़ा भी गलत है..महाराष्ट्र में 41 लाख नए वोटर जुड़े. इनमें से 26 लाख नए युवा वोटर्स थे, जिनमें 18-19 साल आयुवर्ग के 9 लाख वोटर शामिल हैं, जिन्होंने अपने वोट बनवाए. चुनाव आयेग ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र में एक लाख पोलिंग बूथ हैं. अगर औसतन 40 वोटर प्रति पोलिंग बूथ बढ़ते हैं तो कोई अचरज की बात नहीं होनी चाहिए. समय समय पर चुनाव आय़ोग नये वोटर्स को जोड़ने के लिए अभियान चलाता है.

2018 में जब ऐसा अभियान चला था तो महाराष्ट्र में 2 महीने में 28 लाख से ज्यादा वोटर जुड़े थे. तब किसी ने सवाल नहीं उठाया. आश्चर्य की बात ये है कि राहुल गांधी के पास चुनाव आयोग का पूरा जवाब था. इसके बावजूद लोकसभा में वही सवाल उठाए जिनका सिलसिलेवार उत्तर चुनाव आयोग दे चुका है.

The manner in which the supreme leader of Congress Sonia Gandhi spoke about President Droupadi Murmu cannot be justified under any circumstances.

Sonia Gandhi made the remark while speaking to her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Vadra outside Parliament. She said, “the poor lady, the President, was getting very tired by the end…she could hardly speak, poor thing”. Soon after, video of this remark became viral on social media and also on news television. This triggered a furore with top BJP leaders demanding an apology for “insulting the first tribal President”.

The reaction from Rashtrapati Bhavan was swift and precise, without naming Sonia Gandhi. It said, “these leaders have said that the President was getting very tired by the end and she could hardly speak. Rashtrapati Bhavan would like to clarify that nothing could be farther from the truth. ….”

The statement further said: ” The President’s office believes it might be the case that these leaders have not acquainted themselves with the idiom and discourse in Indian languages such as Hindi, and thus formed a wrong impression. In any case, such comment are in poort taste, unfortunate and entirely avoidable. It has clearly hurt the dignity of the high office and is unacceptable.”

To publicly describe the President of the Republic of India as “poor lady” and “poor thing” is insulting. Droupadi Murmu hails from a poor tribal family and adorns the highest post of the land. To describe her as “poor thing, tired” is unfortunate.

The issue is serious because the remark was part of a conversation between three persons hailing from the same family. The remark was not in reply to any pesky reporter’s question. The Gandhi-Nehru family has ruled India for decades and it understands the dignity of the post of President.

Sonia Gandhi, on her part, always chooses her words carefully while speaking. Except one or two instances in the past, she never made any loose comment about anybody. But it seems, Rahul Gandhi wanted her mother to say something.

Rahul Gandhi did not like the President’s address and said it was “boring”. Probably, he wanted her mother to say something about the government, but he forgot that it was the President who was placing the government’s views in her address.

In the past, Rahul Gandhi had been saying at public meetings how Modi government did not invite President Droupadi Murmu to the Pran Pratistha (installation) ceremony at Ram Lala temple in Ayodhya. At several rallies, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the President was not invited because she was a tribal. But the manner in which both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul spoke about the President and insulted the dignity of her office on Friday, has let the cat out of the bag.

कांग्रेस की सबसे बड़ी नेता सोनिया गांधी ने महामहिम राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मू को “बेचारी, गरीब और थकी हुई” कहा . राहुल गांधी ने राष्ट्रपति का भाषण “बोरिंग” बताया. राहुल का comment था कि अभिभाषण में एक ही बात को बार-बार कहा गया.

बड़ी बात ये है कि राष्ट्रपति के भाषण पर जब सोनिया गांधी और राहुल गांधी ने ये अपमानजनक बयान दिए, उस वक्त प्रियंका गांधी, सोनिया गांधी और राहुल गांधी साथ साथ थे. पूरा गांधी नेहरू खानदान एक साथ था.

जैसे ही सोनिया गांधी का बयान आया, बीजेपी ने इस पर कड़ी आपत्ति जाहिर की. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने सोनिया गांधी के बयान को राष्ट्रपति के साथ साथ देश के दलितों, आदिवासियों और गरीबों का अपमान बताया. मोदी ने कहा कि शाही परिवार को दलितों और आदिवासियों से नफरत हैं, ये लोग देश की विकास सुन ही नहीं सकते.

मोदी ने कहा कि देश के सबसे बड़े संवैधानिक पद पर बैठे व्यक्ति का ये अपमान देश बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगा. इसके बाद जे पी नड्ढा, पीयूष गोयल, हरदीप पुरी, गिरिराज सिंह से लेकर संबित पात्र तक बीजेपी के सभी बड़े नेताओं ने इस मुद्दे पर कांग्रेस को घेरा.

पहली बार राष्ट्रपति भवन की तरफ से बयान जारी करके सोनिया गांधी के बयान को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताया गया. बाद में प्रियंका गांधी ने सफाई दी की मीडिया ने उनकी मां की बातों को तोड़-मरोड़ कर दिखाया.

सोनिया और राहुल कैमरों के सामने बात कर रहे थे. किसी ने उनसे सवाल नहीं पूछा था. राहुल ने सवाल किया, जवाब में सोनिया गांधी ने राष्ट्रपति द्रोपदी मुर्मू को बेचारी और थकी हुई कहा. इसका मतलब ये है कि सोनिया तय करके आई थीं कि क्या कहना है, किस अंदाज़ में कहना है.

भारत गणराज्य के राष्ट्रपति को पब्लिकली poor lady और poor thing कहना किसी को भी शोभा नहीं देता. द्रौपदी मुर्मू भारत के सर्वोच्च पद पर हैं. वह एक आदिवासी गरीब परिवार से आती हैं. उन्हें..बेचारी, थकी हुई कहना, दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है.

ये बात इसीलिए भी गंभीर है कि ये एक परिवार के तीन लोगों के बीच हुई बातचीत के तौर पर सुनाई दिया. ये comment किसी रिपोर्टर के सवाल का जवाब नहीं था.

इस परिवार के लोगों ने बरसों देश पर शासन किया. वे राष्ट्रपति के पद की गरिमा को समझते हैं. सोनिया गांधी आमतौर पर नपे तुले शब्दों में बोलती हैं. एक दो बार को छोड़कर उन्होंने कभी इस तरह के loose comment नहीं किए, पर लगता है कि राहुल गांधी उनसे कुछ कहलवाना चाहते थे.

राहुल गांधी को बजट स्पीच में मजा नहीं आया, वह उनको बोरिंग लगा, तो वह सरकार पर comment करवाना चाहते थे. लेकिन भूल गए कि पार्लियामेंट में आज राष्ट्रपति महोदया ने सरकार का पक्ष रखा.

राहुल गांधी राष्ट्रपति मुर्मू को लेकर कई बार सरकार पर कटाक्ष करते रहे हैं. जब राष्ट्रपति महोदया को राम मंदिर के प्राण प्रतिष्ठा समारोह में नहीं देखा गया, तो राहुल ने बार बार कहा कि वह एक आदिवासी महिला हैं, इसीलिए उनको नहीं बुलाया गया. उनका अपमान किया गया लेकिन आज जब उन्होंने और सोनिया गांधी ने राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू का अपमान किया तो असलियत सामने आ गई.

आज सबके मन में एक ही सवाल है. प्रयागराज में अब हालात कैसे हैं? क्या अभी भी संगम में स्नान करने वालों की भारी भीड़ है? क्या श्रद्धालु आराम से स्नान कर पा रहे हैं? क्या अभी भी भारी संख्या में भक्त लगातार प्रयागराज पहुंच रहे हैं? कितने लोगों ने संगम में डुबकी लगाई? ऐसे बहुत से परिवार हैं जिनके लोग प्रयागराज में डुबकी लगा चुके हैं लेकिन अभी लौट नहीं पाए हैं. ऐसे लोगों के लौटने के लिए क्या इंतजाम किए गए हैं? महाकुंभ में पहुंचने वाले लोग निश्चिंत होकर डुबकी लगा सकें, इसके लिए नई पाबंदियां लगाई गईं हैं.

हालांकि अब भीड़ पहले के मुकाबले कम है लेकिन फिर भी लाखों लोग महाकुंभ क्षेत्र में इकट्ठे हो चुके हैं. गुरुवार को दो करोड़ छह लाख से ज्यादा श्रद्धालुओं ने संगम में डुबकी लगाई. गंगा स्नान में लोगों को ज्यादा दिक्कतों का सामना नहीं करना पड़ा. मेला क्षेत्र में सब कुछ सही चला क्योंकि मौनी अमावस्या की घटना से प्रशासन ने सबक लिया है. जो खामियां सामने आई, श्रद्धालुओं से जो फीडबैक मिला और विशेषज्ञों की जो राय मिली, सबके आधार पर प्रशासन ने कदम उठाए. उसका असर महाकुंभ में दिखाई दिया.

मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने अफसरों को निर्देश दिया कि दो बातों का ख्याल रखना है. पहला, जो लोग प्रयागराज में हैं, गंगा स्नान कर चुके हैं, उन्हें सुरक्षित वापस भेजा जाए. दूसरा, जो लोग देश के दूसरे हिस्सों से महाकुंभ में डुबकी लगाने के लिए प्रयागराज आ रहे हैं, रास्तों में फंसे हैं, उन्हें सुरक्षित प्रयागराज लाया जाए. इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए अफसरों ने महाकुंभ की व्यवस्थाओं में सात बड़े बदलाव किए.

सबसे पहले महाकुंभ का पूरा मेला क्षेत्र no-vehicle zone घोषित किया गया. मेले के अंदर सिर्फ ज़रूरी सामानों की सप्लाई वाली गाड़ियों, और आपातकालीन सेवाओं वाली गंड़ियों को छोड़ कर अन्य सभी तरह की गाड़ियों के प्रवेश पर रोक लगा दी गई है. मेले के लिए जो VIP पास जारी किए गए थे, वे सारे पास रद्द कर दिए गए हैं. 5 फरवरी तक नए VIP पास नहीं बनेंगे. इसके साथ-साथ, मेला क्षेत्र के सभी रास्तों को वन-वे कर दिया गया है ताकि किसी भी रास्ते पर श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ आमने-सामने आने की नौबत न बने.

पॉन्टून पुल पर भी गाड़ियों की एंट्री रोक दी गई है. 30 पॉन्टून पुलों में से 29 पुल श्रद्धालुओं के लिए खोल दिए गए हैं. आधे पुलों पर स्नान के लिए संगम जाने वाले श्रद्धालु गुजरेंगे और आधे पुल स्नान करके लौटने वालों के लिए हैं. एक पुल पुलिस और आपातकालीन सेवाओं के लिए खाली रखा गया है. इसके अलावा श्रद्धालुओं से लगातार अपील की जा रही है कि स्नान के बाद घाटों पर न रूकें जिससे भीड़ न हो. वॉलेंटियर्स लोगों से अपील कर रहे हैं कि अगर थक गए हों, तो भी रास्तों पर न बैठे, रास्तों पर न सोएं, वरना हादसा हो सकता है. .स्नान के बाद तुरंत घाट छोड़ दें और अपने कैम्प या घर की तरफ रवाना हो जाएं.

प्रयागराज में श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ कम करने के लिए रेलवे ने ज़बरदस्त काम किया है. रल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव लगातार केंद्रीय कमान रूम में जमे रहे. योगी ने रेल मंत्री से प्रयागराज से भक्तों को निकालने के लिए और ज्यादा ट्रेनें चलाने की अपील की थी. इसका असर ये हुआ कि सिर्फ प्रयागराज से भक्तों को वापस अपने घर भेजने के लिए तीन सौ से ज्यादा ट्रेनें चलाई गई. प्रयागराज के पांच और रेलवे स्टेशनों से कुंभ स्पेशल ट्रेन्स चल रही हैं. हर चार मिनट में किसी न किसी ट्रेन को रवाना किया जा रहा है. प्रयागराज जंक्शन पर श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ बेक़ाबू न हो, इसके लिए जंक्शन के जोनों और अलग-अलग होल्डिंग एरिया बनाए गए हैं. एक तरफ 25 हज़ार श्रद्धालुओं को जंक्शन से पहले रोकने की व्यवस्था है और ख़ुसरो बाग़ में एक लाख पैसेंजर्स को होल्ड करने की व्यवस्था की गई है. यात्रियों को डेस्टिनेशन के हिसाब से ट्रेन आने से ठीक पहले प्लेटफॉर्म की तरफ भेजा जा रहा है. रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने बताया कि कल रेलवे ने प्रयागराज से 364 ट्रेनें चलाईं. 12 लाख लोगों को उनकी मंज़िलों तक पहुंचाया गया.

ये तो सब मानते हैं कि करोड़ों लोगों के लिए संगम में स्नान की व्यवस्था करना दुरूह काम है. ये भी दिखाई दे रहा है कि महाकुंभ में भक्तों की भीड़ अपेक्षा से कहीं अधिक आई है. जब लोग अपने अपने इलाकों में जाकर बताते हैं कि व्यवस्था अच्छी है तो और लोग उत्साहित होकर प्रयागराज की तरफ प्रस्थान करते हैं. एक बड़ी समस्या ये है कि जो लोग महाकुंभ में आ रहे हैं, वे तुरंत लौटना नहीं चाहते. लोग रहने की, खाने की व्यवस्थाओं से संतुष्ट हैं. इसीलिए एक-दो दिन और रुकना चाहते हैं. अब जब लोगों से वापस लौटने की अपील की गई है तो बैकलॉग की वजह से रेलवे स्टेशनों पर, सड़कों पर भारी भीड़ है. ट्रैफिक का आवागमन धीमा हो गया है.

एक और बड़ी समस्या ये है कि जो लोग प्रयागराज से लौट रहे हैंल वे सीधे अपने घर नहीं लौटना चाहते. ज्यादातर लोग दो-चार दिन का प्रोग्राम बनाकर आए हैं. इसीलिए बहुत से लोग काशी विश्वनाथ जाकर महादेव का जलाभिषेक करना चाहते हैं और बड़ी संख्या में लोग राम लला का मंदिर देखना चाहते हैं. इसीलिए अयोध्या में भी लाखों लोगों की भीड़ पहुंच रही है, रामलला के दर्शन कर रही है.

श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ को देखते हुए अयोध्या में 12वीं क्लास तक के स्कूल 5 फ़रवरी तक के लिए बंद कर दिए गए हैं. पूरे अयोध्या शहर में फोर व्हीलर और टू-व्हीलर गाड़ियों की एंट्री बैन कर दी गई है. कई ऐसे लोग हैं जिनकी ट्रेन छूट गई है या जिन्हें ट्रांसपोर्ट नहीं मिल पा रहा. ऐसे लोगों से मेरा निवेदन है कि वे धैर्य रखें, थोड़ा इंतजार करें क्योंकि उन्हें सुरक्षित घर पहुंचाने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किया जा रहा है.

Today I would like to mention about concerns being expressed by a cross-section of people, who want to know about the ground situation in Maha Kumbh. They want to know whether the place is still overcrowded, whether devotees are being able to take a holy dip in peace, about millions of devotees who are stuck on the national highways leading to Prayagraj. There are hundreds of families who have taken a holy dip, but are waiting to leave the city.

In order to ease the situation, the state administration has declared the entire Maha Kumbh area as a “no-vehicle zone”. All VIP passes have been cancelled. No vehicles, except those belonging to the police and state government and sadhu ‘akhadas’ are being allowed inside Kumbh Nagari. Till Friday, more than two lakh vehicles remained stranded on highways leading to Prayagraj. They will be allowed to go ahead only after the city is cleared of crowds who have overstayed after taking their bath.

On Mauni Amavasya Day (Wednesday), more than 7.6 crore devotees took their bath at the Maha Kumbh after the stampede took place post-midnight.

On Thursday, there was early morning fog at the Maha Kumbh, but there was no sign of the enthusiasm of devotees ebbing away. More than 2.6 crore devotees took their dip in Ganga on Thursday. Everything went smoothly and the situation has normalized within 24 hours due to effective intervention on part of UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Yogi has directed officials to take care of two things:

One, those who have already bathed at Maha Kumbh must return safely,

Two, millions of devotees who have been stranded on highways and other nearby cities, must be allowed to come to Prayagraj in a regulated manner.

Seven major changes were made at the Maha Kumbh. The entire area has been declared a ‘no-vehicle zone’ with exemptions for vehicles bringing essential commodities and all emergency vehicles. All VIP passes have been cancelled till February 5. All roads leading to the Mela area have been converted as “one-way”.

Entry of vehicles towards all pontoon bridges have been stopped. 29 out of 30 pontoon bridges have been opened for devotees. Half of these bridges will be used by devotees for taking their holy dip, and the other half will be used for devotees to return. One pontoon bridge has been kept reserved for police and emergency services.

Authorities are making appeal to all devotees not to overstay at the bathing ghats and return. Volunteers are requesting pilgrims not to sit on the roads to avoid chances of being run over. UP chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar were specifically sent by Yogi to Maha Kumbh on Thursday to oversee the arrangements.

Indian Railways, under close supervision of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, ran more than 300 special trains for devotees returning from Prayagraj and four other suburban stations. Every special train is leaving after a gap of four minutes carrying devotees returning from Maha Kumbh.

Holding areas have been created at the Prayagraj Junction for more than 25,000 devotees to avoid overcrowding on the platforms. In Khushrow Bagh, holding area has been created for nearly one lakh devotees. Devotees are being sent to platforms as per their destinations. Ashwini Vaishnaw said, 364 special trains were run on Wednesday from Prayagraj to carry nearly 12 lakh travellers to their destinations.

Making massive arrangements for crores of devotees coming to Sangam and then returning to their destinations is a gargantuan task. The number of devotees who have come to Maha Kumbh has exceeded all expectations. When these devotees return to their cities and villages, they tell people that the arrangements at Maha Kumbh are fine, and then more batches of devotees leave for Prayagraj. This seems to be an unending cycle.

Another problem is about lakhs of devotees who are unwilling to leave Maha Kumbh even after taking a holy dip. They are satisfied with the arrangements made for food and shelter. They want to stay for a day or two more. Authorities have started appealing to these devotees to leave as soon as possible to allow others to come and take their holy dip. Because of the huge backlog of devotees waiting to come to Maha Kumbh, traffic movement on highways has become slower.

Another problem relates to devotees who have added Ayodhya and Kashi to their itineraries, so that then can visit the new Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Kashi Vishwanath shrine after attending Maha Kumbh. Both Ayodhya and Varanasi are facing a huge influx of devotees. In Ayodhya, schools up to Class 12 have been closed till February 5 because of the influx. Entry of four-wheelers and two-wheelers into Ayodhya has been banned. Lakhs of devotees are lining up to pay obeisance to the idol of Ram Lala.

I would, therefore, appeal to all to exercise patience and wait till the situation eases. All arrangements are being made for their holy dip, darshan and safe return to their respective homes.

मौनी अमावस्या के पवित्र मौके पर महाकुंभ में दस करोड़ से ज्यादा श्रद्धालुओं ने संगम में डुबकी लगाई. लेकिन बीती रात संगम नगरी में एक बहुत ही दुखद, दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण हादसा हो गया. संगम के पास सबसे पहले स्नान करने के लिए लोग समय से पहले पहुंच गए. कुछ लोग रास्ते पर लेट गए. कई लोगों को वहां नींद आ गई. पीछे से आने वाले लोगों की संख्या बहुत ज्यादा थी.

रात करीब 1 बजे भीड़ पुलिस बैरिकेड तोड़कर संगम की तरफ दौड़ी. किसी ने वहां लेटे हुए लोगों को नहीं देखा और इस दुखद हादसे में तीस लोगों की मौत हो गई. साठ से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए. ये बताते हुए योगी आदित्यनाथ की आंखों में आंसू थे. हालांकि पुलिस और प्रशासन ने तत्काल कार्रवाई की, एंबुलेंस बुलाईं, ग्रीन कॉरिडोर बनाया, लोगों को अस्पताल पहुंचाया लेकिन इस बात का बेहद दुख है कि 30 लोगों को बचाया नहीं जा सका.

योगी आदित्यनाथ आधी रात के बाद से कंट्रोल रूम में थे. पूरी रात अफसरों से पल-पल की जानकारी लेते रहे. प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी भी सूरज निकलने से पहले चार बार योगी से फोन पर हालात पर अपडेट ले चुके थे. गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने भी योगी से बात की. रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने स्नान करने के बाद भक्तों को तुरंत प्रयागराज से वापस भेजने के लिए विशेष रेलगाड़ियों का इंतजाम किया. मेला प्रशासन ने करोड़ों भक्तों की भीड़ को देखते हुए संगम नगरी के सारे रास्ते खोल दिए जिससे एक जगह पर भीड़ न जमा हो.

पहली बार ऐसा हुआ जब मौनी अमावस्या के मौके पर अखाड़ों के धर्माचार्यों और नागा साधुओं से पहले आम लोगों ने संगम में डुबकी लगाई. शंकराचार्यों, आचार्यों और महामंडलेश्वरों ने आखिर में गंगा स्नान किया. प्रयागराज में भीड़ को देखते हुए आसपास के शहरों में श्रद्धालुओं की गाडियों को रोक दिया गया. इसके बाद भी दस करोड़ से ज्यादा श्रद्धालुओं ने डुबकी लगाई. लाखों लोग वाराणसी, जौनपुर, प्रतापगढ़, फतेहपुर जैसे शहरों में फंस गए.

मौनी अमावस्या के शुभ अवसर पर महाकुंभ में दुर्घटना गंभीर है, रुलाने वाली है. सवाल सिर्फ मरने वालों और घायलों की संख्या का नहीं है. अगर एक भक्त की भी जान जानती है, तो ये बड़ी बात है. ये सही है कि अमृत योग में सबसे पहले स्नान करने की ललक के कारण बहुत से श्रद्धालु वहीं लेटे हुए थे. जब भीड़ का रेला आया तो किसी ने नीचे नहीं देखा. लोग कुचले गए.

मैं इसे प्रशासन की चूक मानता हूं क्योंकि इस स्थिति का पहले से अंदाज़ा नहीं लगाया गया. वहां सबकुछ है, सीसीटीवी कैमरे लगे हैं, ड्रोन हैं, पुलिस कर्मी तैनात हैं, STF, NDRF, NSG सब तरह के सरक्षा बल हैं पर इस स्थिति का पूर्वानुमान किसी ने नहीं किया. लेकिन इस कारण ये कह देना कि महाकुंभ में हर जगह बदइंतजामी है, व्यवस्था खराब है, वहां दिन-रात प्रबंध करने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों और कर्मचारियों के प्रति अन्याय होगा क्योंकि वे लोग बहुत परिश्रम कर रहे हैं. बुधवार को 8 करोड़ लोग महाकुंभ में पहुंचे क्योंकि उन्होंने लोगों से सुना था कि इंतजाम अच्छा है, रजाई भी है, सफाई भी है, दवाई भी है, लेकिन अच्छा प्रबंध भी मुसीबत बन सकता है, इसकी किसी ने कल्पना नहीं की.

जो लोग संगम में नहा लिए, डुबकी लगा ली, वे भी वहीं रुक गए थे, जाना नहीं चाहते थे. वो साधु संतों की शोभायात्रा को, नागा साधुओं को देखना चाहते थे. हर किसी के हाथ में मोबाइल है, वो इस दृश्य को अपने कैमरे में रिकॉर्ड करना चाहते थे. इसीलिए भीड़ पर काबू पाना मुश्किल हो गया, बैरिकेड टूट गए और ये हादसा हुआ. मैं इस मामले में कुंभ नगरी में मौजूद साधु संतों की प्रशंसा करूंगा, उन्होंने रात को ही वीडियो जारी कर लोगों से अपील की. लोगों को समझाया कि जो जहां हैं, वहीं स्नान कर लें, पुण्य मिलेगा. दूसरा उन्होंने अपने अमृत स्नान को टाल दिया, पहले लोगों को स्नान करने दिया.

योगी आदित्यनाथ का प्रबंधन, केन्द्र और राज्य सरकार के बीच समन्वय और ज़मीन पर प्रशासन की फुर्ती का असर भी कुछ ही घंटों में दिखने लगा. संगम नगरी की फिज़ा में फिर भक्तों का जोश दिखने लगा. चूंकि अखाड़ों का स्नान टाल दिया गया था, इसलिए लाखों की संख्या में भक्तों ने बिना किसी रोकटोक, बिना किसी डर के डुबकी लगाई. इंडिया टीवी के संवाददाता भक्तों की भीड़ में पूरे भारत के लोगों से मिले, कोई कर्नाटक, कोई केरल, कोई हिमाचल, तो कोई असम से पूरे परिवार के साथ आया था. मकसद था, मौनी अमावस्या पर संगम में डुबकी लगाना था.

साधू संत हमेशा समाज को रास्ता दिखाते हैं. महाकुंभ में परंपरा को तोड़कर आम जनता को पहले अमृत स्नान का मौका देकर संतों ने आदर्श प्रस्तुत किया, इसके लिए आचार्यों, महामंडलेश्वरों, सभी साधू संतों का अभिनंदन होना चाहिए. लेकिन दुख की बात ये है कि राजनीतिक दलों के नेताओं ने इस दुखद हादसे को राजनीति का मुद्दा बनाया. हादसे की ख़बर आते ही समाजवादी पार्टी और कांग्रेस समेत तमाम विपक्षी दलों ने योगी पर हमला बोल दिया. अखिलेश यादव, राहुल गांधी, मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे, प्रियंका गांधी, मायावती, शरद पवार की पार्टी और उद्धव ठाकरे की शिवसेना ने इस हादसे के लिए योगी सरकार को कोसा. अखिलेश यादव ने महाकुंभ का प्रबंध सेना को सौंपने की मांग की. राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि VIP के जाने पर रोक लगे.

ज्यादातर नेताओं का ये कहना है कि ये हादसा इसीलिए हुआ कि सारा प्रशासन VIPs की आवभगत में लगा था. ये कहना आसान है और लोग इसपर आसानी से विश्वास भी कर लेंगे क्योंकि लोगों ने कुंभ नगरी में VVIPs को बड़े आराम से स्नान करते हुए देखा, उनके वीडियो वायरल हुए, लेकिन रात को जो दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण घटना हुई, उसे VIP सिंड्रोम से जोड़ना गलत होगा.

मौनी अमावस्या के स्नान के अवसर पर VIP मूवमेंट पर पूरी तरह प्रतिबंध लगा दिया गया था. अमृत स्नान के अवसर पर सारे VIP पास कैंसिल कर दिए गए थे और ये व्यवस्था, ये परंपरा बहुत पुरानी है.

जानकारों ने बताया कि 1954 में जब पंडित जवाहर लाल नेहरु प्रधानमंत्री थे, वो शाही स्नान के दिन कुंभ में डुबकी लगाने गए थे. उस समय हुई भगदड़ में करीब एक हजार लोग हताहत हुए थे. उसी समय ये नियम बना कि शाही स्नान वाले दिन VIP मूवमेंट पर बैन होगा. लेकिन ये इतिहास, ये स्पष्टीकरण राजनीति के लिए है.

ये बातें उन लोगों के किसी काम के नहीं जिन्होंने इस हादसे में अपनों को खोया है. हम तो ऐसे लोगों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त कर सकते हैं. घायल लोगों के जल्दी स्वस्थ होने की कामना कर सकते हैं. सरकार को और अधिक सावधानी से प्रबंध करने की अपील कर सकते हैं. मां गंगा से प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं कि अपने भक्तों को इस दुख को सहन करने की शक्ति प्रदान करें.
