अविश्वास प्रस्ताव : मोदी ने विपक्ष को कैसे पछाड़ा
लोक सभा में प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के आत्म विश्वास के सामने विपक्ष का अविश्वास प्रस्ताव टिक नहीं पाया. मोदी के जवाबी हमलों से घबरा कर कांग्रेस और उसके साथी दलों के नेता मैदान छोड़ कर भाग गए, सदन से वॉकआउट कर गए. कांग्रेस की तरफ से पेश किए गए अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर वोटिंग की नौबत ही नहीं आई. ध्वनिमत से मोदी के खिलाफ लाया गया अविश्वास प्रस्ताव गिर गया. लेकिन इससे पहले तीन दिन तक विपक्ष के नेताओं ने प्रधानमंत्री को जितना कोसा था, जितनी गालियां दी थी, उन सबका हिसाब मोदी ने बराबर कर लिया. मोदी करीब ढाई घंटा बोले. कहा, जिनके खुद के बही-खाते बिगड़े हुए हैं, वो भी हमसे हमारा हिसाब पूछते हैं. हालांकि मोदी अपना हिसाब किताब लेकर आए थे, लेकिन इसके साथ साथ उन्होंने कांग्रेस के जमाने में हुए कारनामों की पूरी लिस्ट भी तैयार कर रखी थी. अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर चर्चा के दौरान पिछले तीन दिन में विपक्ष की तरफ से जितनी बॉल्स फेंकी गई थी, मोदी ने उन सबको बाउंड्री के पार पहुंचाया. हालत ये हो गई कि विपक्ष की टीम ही मैदान से बाहर हो गई. राहुल गांधी ने कहा था कि वो इस बार दिमाग से नहीं, दिल से बोल रहे हैं. मोदी ने कहा कि देश को दिमाग का पहले से पता था, अब ये भी समझ आ गया है कि दिल में क्या है. मोदी ने विरोधी दलों के गठबंधन पर भी जोरदार हमला किया. कहा, यूपीए का क्रियाकर्म करके विपक्ष ने जो नई दुकान खोली है, वो चलेगी नहीं, क्योंकि इस दुकान में नफरत का, आग लगाने का, झूठ बेचने का, करप्शन का सामान है, इसे कोई नहीं खरीदेगा. इस दुकान पर ताला लगना तय है. पुराने खंडहर पर प्लास्टर करने से कुछ नहीं होगा. मोदी ने कहा, अगर मणिपुर के हालात पर सब मिलकर चिंता जताते, सारे दल मिलकर साथ खड़े होते तो बेहतर संदेश जाता, लेकिन विपक्ष को मणिपुर की चिंता नहीं है. कांग्रेस मणिपुर के नाम पर राजनीतिक रोटियां सेंकना चाहती है. प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि मणिपुर में दुख देने वाली घटनाएं हुई, लेकिन वह मणिपुर के लोगों को भरोसा दिलाते हैं कि पूरा देश उनके साथ खड़ा है, हालात जल्द सुधरेंगे, सबकुछ जल्दी ठीक होगा. मणिपुर पर मोदी की बात सुनने के लिए विरोधी दलों के सदस्य वहां मौजूद नहीं थे क्योंकि वे पहले ही वॉकआउट कर गए थे. वॉकआउट की नौबत इसलिए आई क्योंकि मोदी ने विपक्ष पर इतने तीखे हमले किए कि विरोधी दलों के नेताओं के लिए वहां बैठना मुश्किल हो गया. मोदी ने अपनी बैटिंग अटैंकिग मोड में ही शुरू की. आते ही विपक्ष पर हमला कर दिया. कहा कि मैच विपक्ष ने तय किया, फील्डिंग विपक्ष ने लगाई और फिर नो बॉल पर नो बॉल ही फेंकते रहे. नरेन्द्र मोदी के भाषण कोदेखें और विपक्ष की बातों पर ध्यान दें तो कई बातें साफ हैं. मोदी ने विपक्ष के अविश्वास प्रस्ताव का पूरा पूरा फायदा उठाया. उन्हें जब बहस का जबाव देने का मौका मिला तो उन्होंने विपक्ष की कमियां गिनाई, अपनी सरकार के कामों का बखान किया और कांग्रेस का इतिहास याद दिलाया. एक तरह से 2024 के चुनाव का कैंपेन लॉंच कर दिया और ये भी बता दिया कि एक बार फिर एनडीए और बीजेपी की जीत क्यों और कैसे होगी. विरोधी दलों के सारे नेता मिलकर भी इस अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर हुई बहस का फायदा नहीं उठा पाए. मणिपुर का सवाल ऐसा था कि विरोधी दल मोदी को घेर सकते थे. प्रधानमंत्री से तीखे सवाल पूछ सकते थे लेकिन विपक्ष के नेता नो बॉल फेंकते रहे, मोदी को फ्री हिट मिले और उन्होंने जमकर चौके-छक्के लगाए. आखिर तक नॉक आउट रहे. विरोधी दलों ने शुरू में मणिपुर को लेकर अच्छा माहौल बनाया था. लगा था जैसे मोदी मणिपुर पर खामोश हैं, इस मामले पर बोलना नहीं चाहते क्योंकि मणिपुर की हालत बहुत खराब है, कुछ गड़बड़ है, ये विरोधी दलों के लिए बड़ा अच्छा मौका बन गया था, लेकिन वो इसका फायदा उठाने में विफल रहे. दूसरी तरफ अगर अमित शाह और मोदी के भाषण देखें तो आप देखेंगे कि मणिपुर पर अमित शाह ने सारे सवालों के जबाव दिए और मोदी ने मणिपुर की जनता को भरोसा दिलाया कि पूरा देश उनके साथ खड़ा है. मणिपुर के लोगों को बताया कि वो इस समस्या को सुलझाने के लिए पूरी ताकत से काम कर रहे हैं और सब कुछ जल्दी ठीक हो जाएगा. परम्परा के मुताबिक, अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर विपक्ष को एक बड़ा मौका मिलता है, प्रधानमंत्री के बोलने के बाद भी सवाल पूछने का. प्रस्ताव पेश करने वाले गौरव गोगोई मोदी से कड़े सवाल पूछ सकते थे लेकिन ज्यादातर विपक्षी दलों ने मोदी के भाषण के दौरान ही वॉकआउट कर दिया था इसलिए गौरव गोगोई ने यह मौका भी खो दिया. अब बाहर आकर ये शिकायत करना कि बीजेपी ने अपने मणिपुर के सांसद को नहीं बोलने दिया, बेमानी है. मुझे लगा कि कांग्रेस और उसके साथी दलों को अच्छा मौका मिला था जो उन्होंने गवां दिया. ये इंप्रैशन दिया कि उनकी चिन्ता मणिपुर को लेकर कम थी. इस बात की ज़िद ज्यादा थी कि मोदी को मणिपुर पर बोलने के लिए मजबूर किया जाए. उनकी ज़िद पूरी हो गई और वो मणिपुर की सवाल पर मोदी की बात सुने बिना ही वॉकआउट कर गए. ये कांग्रेस के नेताओं के अहं के लिए अच्छा हो सकता है कि उन्होंने मोदी को मणिपुर पर, इंडिया गठबंधन पर राहुल गांधी के भाषण पर बोलने के लिए मजबूर कर दिया लेकिन ये मणिपुर के लोगों के लिए अच्छा नहीं है. मणिपुर को लेकर धारदार सवाल पूछे जाते, सरकार को जवाब देने के लिए बाध्य किया जाता, कुछ अच्छे सुझाव दिए जाते तो बेहतर होता. अगर सिर्फ राजनीति के लिहाज से देखें तो मोदी ने अपनी नीति, नीयत और मेहनत, तीनों के बारे में गिनवाया, लेकिन अब राहुल गांधी को सोचना पड़ेगा कि उन्होंने क्या गिनवाया और क्या पाया.
NO-CONFIDENCE : HOW MODI SENT THE OPPOSITION MOVE FOR A TOSS
It was a striking contrast in Lok Sabha on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was brimming with self-confidence and the opposition was clearly lacking in confidence. Upset over the pointed attacks made by Modi against the Congress and its allies, the opposition members left the field by staging a walkout. The no-confidence motion brought by the opposition was rejected by voice vote. There was no question of voting as the opposition benches were empty. For three consecutive days, opposition leaders let out a barrage of accusations and abuses against the Prime Minister. Modi squared up the issue on Day 3. He spoke for two and a half hours. He said, the opposition, which has a tainted record of corruption and misgovernance, was seeking explanations about his government. Modi had come fully prepared. He had a list of wrongs committed by the Congress in the past. Using cricketing phrases, I can say, Modi hooked ‘sixers’ on all the ‘balls’ thrown by the opposition. He described the INDIA alliance as “a shop that peddles hate, lies and corruption”. ‘This shop will soon head towards a wind-up… Giving a coat of fresh point on a dilapidated structure will not help’, he said. When Modi started speaking on Manipur, the opposition benches were empty. Modi was in an attacking mode from the word go. As he relentlessly tore into the opposition’s past and present, his rivals decided to call it quits. Modi said, it was the opposition which had asked for the match, it was the opposition which had set the fielding, but it continued to throw ‘no ball’. If you go through Modi’s full speech, several points are clear. Modi took full advantage of the opposition’s no-confidence motion. In his reply, he pointed out their shortcomings and listed his government’s achievements. He reminded the members about the past history of Congress. In a way, Modi launched his 2024 poll campaign and explained why the BJP-led NDA will sweep the next LS elections. On the other hand, the opposition leaders, despite putting up a united front, failed to take advantage of the debate. Manipur was a burning issue on which the opposition could have grilled Modi, by putting up pointed questions. But opposition leaders carried on by throwing ‘no ball’, allowing Modi to take free hits. He hit many fours and sixes, and remained ‘not out’ till the end. The opposition had created a good debating atmosphere on Manipur issue. It appeared as if Modi was silent on Manipur and was refraining from speaking. The situation in Manipur is serious, and the opposition got a good opportunity to grill the government. But they failed to take advantage. If you go through Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech on Wednesday and PM Modi’s speech on Thursday, you will find that most of the queries of the opposition were fully addressed. Modi assured the people of Manipur that the entire nation stands with them and the problem will be resolved soon. He said, ‘the new sun of hope will rise soon’. As per tradition, the opposition gets the opportunity to put questions to the Prime Minister after his speech is over. Gaurav Gogoi, the deputy Congress leader, who moved the motion, could have asked tough questions. But since, most of the opposition parties chose to stage a walkout during the Prime Minister’s speech, Gogoi lost the opportunity. To come out of the House and then crib that BJP did not allow its Manipur MP to speak during the debate is useless. I personally felt that the Congress and its allies had got a good opportunity which they frittered away. They gave the impression that they were less worried about Manipur, and they were more adamant on forcing Modi to speak on Manipur. Since their cause for stubbornness was over when Modi spoke, they staged a walkout without listening to what the Prime Minister had to say on Manipur. This could be good for the ego of Congress leaders to say that they forced Modi to reply to Rahul Gandhi on Manipur issue, but, it is not good for the people of Manipur. The opposition could have asked pointed questions about Manipur. It could have forced the government to reply. A few good suggestions could have been better on how to defuse the situation. From the political point of view, one can say that while Modi listed out his ‘neeti, niyat, mehnat’ (policies, intention and toil), Rahul Gandhi will have to introspect on what he listed out in his speech and what he finally achieved.
मणिपुर पर अमित शाह की अपील
लोकसभा में सभी दलों की तरफ से मणिपुर में मैतई और कुकी समुदायों से हिंसा से दूर रहने और शांति कायम करने की अपील की गई. पहली बार गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने मणिपुर के हालात पर खुलकर बात की. पहली बार सच सामने आया. विपक्ष ने पूछा था, प्रधानमंत्री खामोश क्यों हैं, सरकार क्या रही है, अमित शाह ने इसका जबाव दिया. विपक्ष की तरफ से पूछा गया था कि मणिपुर के मुख्यमंत्री को क्यों नहीं हटाया गया, अमित शाह ने इसका जबाव दिया. गौरव गोगोई ने इल्जाम लगाया था कि सरकार तमाशा देख रही है, वहां मणिपुर जल रहा है, इस पर अमित शाह ने पूरे तथ्य सामने रख दिए. विरोधी दलों के नेताओं ने कहा था कि बीजेपी मणिपुर पर राजनीति कर रही है, इस पर भी अमित शाह ने बता दिया कि राजनीति कौन कर रहा है और कैसे कर रहा है. अमित शाह लोकसभा में दो घंटा बोले. चूंकि चर्चा अविश्वास प्रस्ताव पर थी, इसलिए उन्होंने मोदी सरकार के पूरे कार्यकाल की बात की, सरकार की उपलब्धियां गिनाईं, कांग्रेस के जमाने मे हुए घपले, घोटाले याद दिलाए. UPA को नाम क्यों बदलना पड़ा इसकी बात की. अमित शाह ने बिना किसी लाग लपेट के, साफ साफ शब्दों में कहा कि मणिपुर में जो हुआ वो शर्मानक है, वह सभ्य समाज पर कलंक है, लेकिन सरकार खामोशी से नहीं बैठी. तीन मई को हिंसा हुई और अगले चौबीस घंटे में सरकार ने क्या क्या किया, इसका पूरा ब्यौरा शाह ने सदन के सामने रख दिया. अमित शाह ने कुकी और मैतेई समुदायों के बीच विवाद की की असली वजह भी बताई. मणिपुर के मामले में जिस बात ने पूरे देश की आत्मा को सबसे ज्यादा झकझोर कर रखा था, वह दो महिलाओं के साथ शर्मनाक व्यवहार का वीडियो था. अमित शाह ने बताया कि पुलिस को वो वीडियो तभी मिला जब वो पब्लिक के सामने आ चुका था. इससे पहले सरकार को इस बारे में कुछ पता नहीं था. अमित शाह की बात convincing थी. मैं कहूंगा कि अमित शाह ने मणिपुर के मामले में अच्छा जवाब दिया. उन्होंने कुछ छिपाने की कोशिश नहीं की, हाथ जोड़कर शांति की अपील भी की. मणिपुर को लेकर एक बड़ा सवाल ये था कि इतना कुछ होने पर भी मुख्यमंत्री को हटाया क्यों नहीं गया? अमित शाह ने बताया कि बीरेन सिंह पूरी तरह सहयोग कर रहे हैं, केंद्र सरकार के निर्देश पर काम कर रहे हैं, वह शांति स्थापित करने में मदद कर रहे हैं, इसीलिए सीएम बदलने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है. अमित शाह ने ये माना कि बड़े पैमाने पर हिंसा हुई, हालात काबू से बाहर चले गए थे लेकिन सरकार ने अपनी तरफ से कोशिश करने में कोई कोर कसर नहीं छोड़ी. इस मामले से जुड़ी एक बड़ी बात ये भी थी कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी मणिपुर के मामले पर खामोश क्यों रहे? पिछले कई हफ्तों से विपक्ष ने ये माहौल बनाया कि प्रधानमंत्री मणिपुर पर कुछ इसीलिए नहीं बोले कि उन्हें मणिपुर की चिंता नहीं है. अमित शाह ने खुलासा किया कि नरेंद्र मोदी रात रात भर मणिपुर को लेकर किस कदर परेशान रहे, गृह मंत्री को निर्देश देते रहे. अमित शाह ने ये भी गिनवा दिया कि पहले जब जब इस तरह की हिंसा हुई, हालात खराब हुए तो संसद में कभी किसी प्रधानमंत्री ने जवाब नहीं दिया था. ये सारी बातें सुनकर मुझे लगा कि विरोधी दल अगर पहले ही अमित शाह को मणिपुर पर बोलने देते, तो बात इतनी न बढ़ती.
राहुल न बदले हैं, न बदलना चाहते हैं
भारत जोड़ो यात्रा के बाद राहुल गांधी की इमेज में काफी सुधार हुआ था. उनके बयान भी ठीक ठाक आने लगे थे. मुझे लगा था कि वो बदल गए हैं पर लोक सभा में राहुल का भाषण सुनकर लगा, ना वो बदले हैं, ना बदलना चाहते हैं. आज भी मोदी और अदानी उनके favourite subject है, मणिपुर पर राहुल की भाषण ने जरूर चौंकाया, ‘भारत माता की हत्या’, ‘मणिपुर के टुकड़े’, ‘सरकार देशद्रोही’, ऐसे शब्द हैं जो आम तौर पर वामपंथी इस्तेमाल करते हैं, ये कांग्रेस की भाषा नहीं है, ये ‘टुकड़े टुकड़े’ गैंग की भाषा है लेकिन राहुल ने ऐसे सारे शब्दों को बार बार रिपीट किया. राहुल से जुड़ा दूसरा किस्सा था, उनकी फ्लाइंग किस का. इसे बीजेपी की महिला सांसदों ने बड़ा मुद्दा बनाया. इस हरकत को लेकर विश्वसनीयता इसलिये हो गई कि एक बार पहले राहुल गांधी ने संसद में मोदी को गले लगाने के बाद आंख मारी थी. इसीलिए लगा कि राहुल गांधी ना पहले मुद्दों को लेकर गंभीर थे, ना अब हैं. वो सारी बातें effect क्रिएट करने के लिए करते हैं. इससे भी लगा कि राहुल ना बदले हैं, ना बदलना चाहते हैं. वैसे मुझे लगता है कि फ्लाइंग किस को इतना ज्यादा तूल देने की जरूरत नहीं थी. इसे राहुल गांधी की ‘मोहब्बत की दुकान’ का सामान मान कर ignore कर देना चाहिए, इसे छोड़ कर राहुल से जंग सियासी मुद्दों को लेकर लड़ी जानी चाहिए और वो इसके लिए पूरा स्कोप देते हैं, काफी मसाला देते हैं. इसीलिए कांग्रेस से ज्यादा बीजेपी के लोग चाहते थे कि राहुल गांधी लोकसभा में बोलें.
AMIT SHAH’S FORCEFUL APPEAL ON MANIPUR
Parliament on Wednesday appealed to both the warring Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur to abjure violence and restore peace in the national interest. This was done after the Home Minister Amit Shah, during his two-hour long intervention, made an impassioned plea to all parties to join him in issuing an appeal from the House for restoring peace. Amit Shah clarified the circumstances leading to ethnic violence in Manipur and how the Centre and the state governments tried to control the damage. He also disclosed that the viral video of two Manipuri women being paraded naked by a mob, came to the notice of police only after it was made public. Amit Shah’s arguments were convincing and, in my view, his reply on Manipur was satisfactory. He did not try to hide anything. He appealed to the opposition with folded hands. On the question why Manipur chief minister was not removed, Amit Shah replied that Biren Singh was cooperating fully and working in accordance with the Centre’s directions. Shah said the CM was trying his best to bring peace and there was no need to change the chief minister. Amit Shah admitted that there was violence on a large scale and, at one point of time, it went out of control, but the Centre, on its part, did not lag behind in its efforts to restore peace. One question that has been consistently asked was why Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been maintaining silence on Manipur violence. For the last several weeks, the opposition had created a situation to show that the Prime Minister was not worried about what is happening in Manipur. Amit Shah, for the first time, disclosed how Prime Minister Modi was worried about Manipur violence throughout the night and guided his Home Minister. He also reminded how when a similar situation occurred in Manipur in the past, the then Prime Minister did not even reply in the House. After watching Amit Shah’s speech, I feel that had the opposition allowed the Home Minister to speak at the beginning of the session, the matter would not have reached to this extent. All eyes are now on what the PM will speak on Manipur.
RAHUL HAS NEITHER CHANGED, NOR DOES HE WANT TO CHANGE
After watching Congress leader Rahul Gandhi speaking in Parliament, after his membership being restored, I feel, he has neither changed, nor does he want to change. After his 130-day-long Bharat Jodo Yatra from South to North, Rahul’s image had improved quite a lot and his statements were balanced. I felt he had changed, but after hearing him in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, I am now quite sure he has neither changed, nor has he any intention to change. Even today, Modi and Adani are his favourite subjects. Rahul’s remarks on Manipur surprised all, but when he started using phrases like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Hatya’, ‘Manipur Ke Tukde’, ‘Deshdrohi’, it was disappointing. Such language is used by the ‘tukde-tukde’ gang, the hardcore Leftists. This is not the language of Congress party. Rahul Gandhi repeated these words several times in his speech, which were later expunged by the Speaker. The second issue related to Rahul giving a ’flying kiss’ while leaving the House. BJP women MPs made it a big issue and went to the Speaker to lodge complaint. This matter gained credence because, in the past, Rahul after suddenly hugging Narendra Modi in his seat, winked at somebody inside the House. The feeling that one had is that Rahul was neither serious about issues in the past, nor is he now. He does this in order to create an “effect”. This gesture shows, Rahul has neither changed, nor does he want to change. Personally, I feel, there was no need to make the ‘flying kiss’ gesture a big issue. It could have been ignored as a part of Rahul’s oft-repeated phrase ‘mohabbat ki dukaan’. The battle against Rahul should be fought on political issues, and he provides too much scope, too much ‘masala’ in this field. That is why, BJP leaders were more interested than Congress members about when Rahul was going to speak in Parliament.

उत्तर प्रदेश में मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार ने विधानसभा में तैंतालीस साल पहले हुए मुरादाबाद दंगे की जांच रिपोर्ट पेश की. 13 अगस्त 1980 को मुरादाबाद में दंगे हुए हुए थे, 83 लोगों की जानें गई थी, 100 से ज्यादा लोग बुरी तरह से जख्मी हुए थे, दर्जनों घर जलाए गए थे. उस वक्त यूपी में विश्वनाथ प्रताप सिंह की सरकार थी. वी पी सिंह ने दंगों की जांच के लिए जस्टिस मथुरा प्रसाद सक्सेना की अगुवाई में जांच आयोग बनाया. आयोग ने तीन साल बाद अपनी रिपोर्ट सरकार को सौंप दी, लेकिन इसके बाद चालीस साल तक इस रिपोर्ट को दबा कर रखा गया. योगी आदित्यनाथ को इस रिपोर्ट को खोजने में ताकत लगानी पड़ी, लेकिन योगी खोज लाए और आज जब ये रिपोर्ट सामने आई, तो पता लगा कि मुरादाबाद के दंगों में न किसी हिन्दू का हाथ था, न RSS या किसी दूसरे हिन्दूवादी संगठन का हाथ था. जांच आयोग ने पाया कि मुरादाबाद के दंगों में किसी आम मुसलमान का कोई हाथ नहीं था. दंगा सिर्फ दो लोगों ने भड़काया. मुस्लिम लीग के तत्कालीन प्रदेश अध्यक्ष डॉ. शमीम अहमद और एक दूसरे मुसलिम लीग नेता हमीद हुसैन ने ईद की नमाज के मौके पर एक साजिश के तहत अफवाह फैलाई. मुसलमानों को भड़काया, इसके बाद दंगा शुरू हो गया और 83 लोगों की मौत हो गई. आज जब 43 साल पुराने दंगे का सच सामने आ गया, तो समाजवादी पार्टी के नेताओं ने कहा कि अब गड़े मुर्दे उखाड़ने की क्या जरूरत है? उपमुख्यमंत्री केशव प्रसाद मौर्य ने कहा, कांग्रेस और समाजवादी पार्टी जैसी पार्टियां सच छुपाना चाहती थी , योगी उसी सच को बाहर लाए हैं, इसीलिए विपक्ष को परेशानी हो रही है. 13 अगस्त 1980 की सुबह मुरादाबाद में ईद की नमाज के दौरान ये दंगा भड़का था। साठ से सत्तर हजार लोग ईदगाह मैदान में ईद उल फितर की नमाज पढ़ने के लिए जमा थे. नमाज के दौरान अफवाह फैली, ईदगाह के पास एक अपवित्र जानवर (सुअर) घुस आया है, नमाज नापाक हो गई है. अफवाह फैलते ही, लोग सड़कों पर आ गए, हंगामा शुरू हो गया, ईदगाह के पास तैनात पुलिसवालों, अफसरों पर लाठी, डंडे, ईंट पत्थर से भीड़ ने हमला कर दिया. तत्कालीन एसएसपी विजयनाथ सिंह का सिर फट गया, नगरपालिका के OC को पीट-पीटकर भीड़ ने मारा डाला. आंसू गैस के गोले, लाठीचार्ज से भी जब दंगाइयों की भीड़ काबू में नहीं आई तो अपर जिला मजिस्ट्रेट ने फायरिंग के आदेश दे दिए. जस्टिस सक्सेना की रिपोर्ट में इस फायरिंग से जुड़ी एक-एक बात का जिक्र है. रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि फायरिंग होते ही लोगों की भीड़ इधर-उधर भागने लगी. इस भगदड़ में बड़ी संख्या में लोग हताहत हुए। दंगाइयों ने पुलिस थानों में, चौकियों में आग लगा दी , पुलिसवालों के हथियार लूट लिये, लोगों पर गोलियां चलाईं गईं, कर्फ्यू लगा दिया गया, लेकिन हिंसा को पूरी तरह से काबू नहीं पाया जा सका. कई दिन तक लोगों ने हिंसा का दंश झेला. उत्तर प्रदेश में पिछले चार दशकों में जितनी भी सरकारें आईं, सभी ने इस रिपोर्ट को अब तक दबाए रखा, सिर्फ इसीलिए कि इन दंगों में मुस्लिम लीग के नेताओं का हाथ पाया गया था. इन दंगों में किसी साधारण मुसलमान या हिंदू का हाथ नहीं था, लेकिन योगी आदित्यनाथ ने हिम्मत दिखाई. जो सच 43 साल से दबा पड़ा था, उसे योगी सरकार ने उजागर करने का फैसला किया. दंगे में हिंदू भी मारे गए थे, मुसलमान भी मारे गए थे. आज भी कई ऐसे परिवार हैं जिनके बारे में पता ही नहीं चला कि वो कहां गए. योगी पिछले 6 साल से मुख्यमंत्री हैं. दावे के साथ कहते हैं, यूपी को दंगा मुक्त बनाया है. आज मुरादाबाद दंगे की रिपोर्ट सार्वजनिक की गई. भले ही 43 साल बाद, तो इसके पीछे सियासत नहीं देखी जानी चाहिए. सच सामने आया, चाहे वो कितना कड़वा हो, इसका स्वागत किया जाना चाहिए.
Moradabad riots report after 40 years: Yogi deserves praise
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has done the right thing in making the 1980 Moradabad riots judicial inquiry report public, by tabling it in the Assembly. Fortythree years after 83 people died and more than 100 others were injured in the riots on August 13, 1980, the judicial commission’s report has now been made public. Dozens of houses were burnt. Vishwanath Pratap Singh was the UP chief minister. Singh had set up a judicial inquiry commission headed by Justice Mathura Prasad Saxena, who submitted his report after three years. For 40 years, the report was not made public. Yogi Adityanath’s government traced the report lying dust in archives, and made it public. The report clearly reveals that the riots were engineered neither by Hindus nor Muslims, but by two Muslim League leaders. The two Muslim League leaders, Dr Shamim Ahmed and Dr Hamid Hussain, are now dead. The report justifies the local administration’s decision to open fire at rioters. The report says, both the Muslim League leaders and their supporters deliberately spread the rumour that pigs have been let loose at the Eidgah on Eid day, and this enraged the community members who were offering prayers. Soon afterwards, there were attacks on police stations and shops of other communities. The report says, the riots continued for several days after Eid. The report reveals, majority of the victims were killed in a stampede. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya alleged that both the Congress and Samajwadi Party wanted to hush up the inquiry report, but it was Yogi Adityanath who has made the report public. The question arises: there were several governments in UP during the last 43 years, but why did they hush up the report? Was it because the judge found the hands of Muslim League leaders in the riots? Yogi Adityanath has shown courage in making the report gathering dust for four decades. There are still many families in Moradabad, both Hindu and Muslim, whose members are still missing. Yogi has been the chief minister of UP for last six years. He says, he has made Uttar Pradesh riot-free. Now that the report has been made public after 43 years, it will be advisable for all not to politicize the issue. The truth, though bitter, has now come out. It must be welcomed.
भारत में चीनी फंडिंग : बड़ी साज़िश का छोटा-सा हिस्सा है
अमेरिका से बड़ी खबर आई. चीन की बड़ी साजिश का खुलासा हुआ. इस बात के सबूत सामने आ गए कि चीन बड़े पैमाने पर पैसा खर्च करके दुनिया के कई देशों में वहां की सरकारों के खिलाफ दुष्प्रचार करवा रहा है. अमेरिका, ब्रिटेन, ब्राजील, साउथ अफ्रीका और कई दूसरे अफ्रीकी मुल्कों के साथ साथ भारत में भी चीन अपना जाल फैला चुका है. कुछ मीडिया संस्थानों, अर्बन नक्सल्स, कुछ स्वघोषित बुद्धिजीवियों और कुछ पत्रकारों को करोड़ों रुपए देकर चीन की सरकार अपनी तारीफ करवाती है और भारत सरकार के खिलाफ खबरें प्लांट करवाती है. हमारे देश में एक कंपनी को 8 करोड़ रूपए दिए गए. अब पता लगा कि ये पैसा नरेन्द्र मोदी की और मोदी सरकार की छवि को खराब करने के लिए दिए गए थे. हैरानी की बात ये है कि हमारी जांच एजेंसियों को तीन साल पहले इस कंपनी के कारोबार पर शक हुआ था. जैसे ही उस वक्त एक्शन हुआ, तो कांग्रेस, लैफ्ट और दूसरे राजनीतिक दलों ने सरकार पर मीडिया की आवाज को दबाने का इल्जाम लगाया था. इस कंपनी के पक्ष में खड़े हो गए थे. लेकिन आज अमेरिका के बड़े अखबार न्यूयॉर्क टाइम्स ने खुलासा किया कि न्यूजक्लिक नाम की मीडिया कंपनी में चीन ने एक अमेरिकी अरबपति के ज़रिये बड़े पैमाने पर पैसा पंप किया. उसे 38 करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा की रकम पहुंचाई और इसके बदले में इस कंपनी ने चीन के भारत-विरोधी प्रोपेगंडा को आगे बढ़ाया. चीन ने एक बड़े अमेरिकी अरबपति नेविल रॉय सिंघम की कंपनियों के ज़रिए भारत और दूसरे देशों में अपने प्रचार करवाने के लिए पैसे पहुंचाए. पूरा मामला गंभीर है. इसके दो कारण हैं – पहली बात ये कि ये ख़बर अमेरिका के ऐसे अख़बार में छपी है, जिसे मोदी-विरोधी माना जाता है. न्यूयॉर्क टाइम्स पिछले नौ साल से लगातार मोदी और उनकी सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ ख़बरे छापने के लिए मशहूर है. इसलिए वहां ये ख़बर छपना कि चीन, भारत में पैसा पंप करके, मोदी विरोधी प्रोपेगैंडा चला रहा है, चौंकाने वाला है. चीन भारत में यू-ट्यूब चैनल्स, वेबसाइट्स और पत्रकारों को फंड करके भारत की राजनीति को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश कर रहा है, ये चिंता में डालने वाला है. दूसरी बात ये कि इन मामलों की जांच हमारे देश की एजेंसीज़ पहले से कर रही हैं, लेकिन उनकी जांच को ये कहकर पक्षपातपूर्ण करार दे दिया गया कि मोदी सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ बोलने वालों की आवाज़ को दबाया जा रहा है. लेकिन एजेंसीज़ की जो जांच हैं, उसमें भी कई चौंकाने वाली बातें सामने आई हैं, और इसकी सिर्फ़ एक मिसाल मैं आपको देता हू. CPI-M के एक बड़े नेता ने नेविल रॉय सिंघम को अपने ई-मेल में लिखा कि जब से सा पर विवाद गहराया, तब से भारत में चीन के खिलाफ आक्रोश बढ़ रहा है और इसका ज़बरदस्त असर हुआ है. उन्होंने आगे लिखा कि भारत सरकार चीन से आने वाली पूंजी और वस्तुओं पर पाबंदियां लगा रही है, इससे हमारे देश का बहुत नुक़सान होगा. आप सोचिए कि ऐसी सोच रखने वाले देश का कितना नुक़सान कर सकते हैं. कुछ लोग ये भी पूछ सकते हैं कि कुछ वेबसाइट्स को, कुछ यू ट्यूब चैनल्स को, कुछ पत्रकारों को खरीद कर चीन भारत का क्या बिगाड़ लेगा? मेरा कहना ये है, ये मुद्दा छोटा नहीं है, ये बड़ी साजिश का छोटा सा हिस्सा है. ये टिप ऑफ द आइसबर्ग है. टेक्नोलॉजी के जमाने में युद्ध अब सिर्फ हथियारों से नहीं लड़े जाते. सिर्फ सैनिकों के जरिए सरहद पर नहीं लड़े जाते. आज की दुनिया में इनफॉर्मेशन वॉर लड़ी जाती है. अपने विरोधी को कमजोर करने के लिए डिजिटल प्रोपैगेंडा को हथियार बनाया जाता है. मुझे एप्पल कंपनी के फाउंडर स्टीव जॉब्स की बात याद है. स्टीव जॉब्स ने कहा था कि अब दुनिया में युद्ध, इनफॉर्मेशन का होगा, सूचना का होगा. वही हो रहा है. चीन की ये हरकत उसी का सबूत है. आजकल कई लोग ये भारत-विरोधी नेरटिव सैट करते हैं कि मोदी चीन से डरते हैं, चीनी सैनिकों ने हमारे सैनिकों की पिटाई कर दी, कि चीन बहुत ताक़तवर है, उसने सड़कें बना लीं, हमारी सरहद पर कॉलोनियां बसा लीं, हम कुछ नहीं कर सकते. ये नकारात्मक नैरेटिव इसी प्रोपेगैंडा वॉर का हिस्सा है. यही लोग कहते हैं कि चीन में कितनी अच्छी सरकार है. लेकिन यही लोग ये बताना भूल जाते हैं कि चीन में बोलने की आज़ादी नहीं है. वहां तो बड़े बड़े मंत्री, जैसे विदेश मंत्री छिन कांग, जिन्हें पिछलें दिनों बरखास्त किया गया, रातों-रात ग़ायब हो जाते हैं. उद्योगपतियों का पता ही नहीं चलता.सबसे अमीर चीनी उद्योगपति जैक मा तीन साल तक गायब रहे. इसलिए चीन और भारत में मीडिया की तुलना करना बेमानी है. लेकिन चीन इनफॉर्मेशन वॉर सिर्फ भारत से लड़ रहा है, ऐसा नहीं हैं. चीन पूरी दुनिया में यही कर रहा है. जो छोटे देश हैं, उनको कर्ज देकर उन देशों को अपना गुलाम बनाता है और जिन पर चीन की दादागीरी नहीं चलती, उनमें इस तरह की हरकतें करके वहां की सरकारों को बदनाम करता है और चीन का वर्चस्व स्थापित करने की कोशिश करता है. ये चीन की फ़ितरत है. अपने लोगों से मै कहना चाहता हूँ विदेशी प्रभाव में काम करनेवाले यूट्यूबर्स पर, ऐसी वेबसाइट्स पर नजर रखने की जरूरत है, paid news पर भरोसा नहीं करना चाहिए, ये वही लोग हैं जो असली मीडिया को बदनाम करते हैं, और खुद पैसे बनाते हैं. इसलिए इसे ध्यान से समझने की ज़रूरत है. हर भारतीय को संभलने की ज़रूरत है.
Chinese funding in India: Only the tip of the iceberg
The New York Times has, in an investigative report, exposed a Chinese conspiracy in which an American millionaire Neville Roy Singham was used as a conduit for spreading Chinese state media propaganda worldwide in countries like the US, UK, South Africa, several other African countries and India. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday cited the NYT report to claim that companies of Singham linked to China were funding a news portal NewsClick in India. The NYT report says that NewsClick was part of a global network that received funds from Singham’s companies to spread Chinese propaganda in India. Singham was the founder of ThoughtWorks, a Chicago based software consultancy firm, and is currently hosting office space in Shanghai, China. There are allegations that Singham funnelled millions of dollars to groups that espouse Chinese government’s positions on world issues. There are also reports of some “urban Naxals”, a few self-styled intellectuals and some Indian journalists who received Chinese funds through conduits. These Indian groups and individuals used to plant news against our government, and one of these companies got Rs 38 crore as funds from the conduits. Indian investigation agencies had probed the source of funding of NewsClick three years ago, and at that time, Congress, Left parties and some other opposition parties had alleged that the Modi government was trying to stifle the voice of dissent in media. With the New York Times report exposing the Chinese funding on Monday, it has now become a major issue involving media persons, media outlets, Left extremists and some opposition parties. The matter is serious due to two reasons: (1) It has been exposed by none other than a US newspaper which considers Narendra Modi its bete noire. The New York Times had been publishing news against Modi government for the last nine years, but this latest investigative report about Chinese funds being pumped into India to carry out anti-Modi propaganda, is surprising. China is trying to interfere in India’s domestic politics by funding some YouTube channels, news websites and journalists. This is a worrying trend. (2) Indian investigation agencies were already probing this matter for the last three years, but they were projected as biased, and charges were levelled that Modi government was trying to stifle the voice of dissent. I can cite one example from what the Indian investigation agencies unearthed. A top leader of CPI(M) wrote an e-mail to Neville Roy Singham saying that anti-China feeling has spread in India after the military situation near Line of Actual Control aggravated, and this has caused quite a stir. The CPI-M leader wrote that the Indian government is now putting curbs on investments and imports from China and this can ultimately harm India. Imagine, how an Indian political leader harbouring such an opinion can harm India’s interests! Some may also argue, what can China achieve by funding a few news websites, YouTube channels and some journalists? My view is: This is not a small matter. It is only the tip of the iceberg. In this hi-tech age, wars are not fought with weapons alone, wars not fought only by soldiers fighting the enemies on the border. Information War is the latest key in world strategic affairs. To weaken the enemy, digital propaganda is used as weapon. I remember what the late Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, said. Jobs said, wars across the world will now be fought over information. The latest NYT report is one such example. There are people in India today who try to set an anti-India narrative by alleging that Narendra Modi fears China. They also spread misinformation saying Chinese soldiers beat our jawans near the LAC, that China is very powerful, it has built roads, highways and set up colonies near the LAC, and we and our armed forces are helpless. This negative narrative is part of a propaganda war. These people also praise the Chinese government, but they forget the harsh reality that there is no liberty and freedom of expression in China. Top ministers, including the recently dismissed Foreign Minister Qin Gang disappeared from public view suddenly, top industrialists like Jack Ma also disappeared for nearly three years. So, to compare Chinese with Indian media is of no use. China is not waging an information war against India alone. It is engaged in information war across the world, particularly in smaller countries, which are neck deep in Chinese debts. China wants to make colonies in these countries. And in countries like India, where Chinese authorities lack their bluster (dadagiri) they try to defame governments, thereby seeking to establish Chinese supremacy. This is in China’s DNA. I would appeal to our citizens not to trust YouTubers or websites, which peddle paid news for their foreign masters. These people bring a bad name to mainstream media, and at the same time, try to fill their own coffers. One must understand this carefully. Every Indian needs to be on guard.
राहुल गांधी मोदी सरनेम को अहं का मुद्दा न बनाएं
लंबे वक्त के बाद कांग्रेस के नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं के चेहरे पर शुक्रवार को हंसी दिखी. देश भर में कांग्रेस के दफ्तरों में ढोल नगाड़े बजे, लड्डू बांटे गए क्योंकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राहुल गांधी को बड़ी राहत दे दी. मोदी सरनेम वाले मानहानि के केस में राहुल गांधी को मिली दो साल की सज़ा पर रोक लगा दी. 134 दिन बाद कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने राहत की सांस ली. कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने कहा कि देश में संविधान सबसे ऊपर है, लोकतन्त्र जिंदा है, न्याय मिल रहा है, हालांकि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राहुल गांधी की सजा पर रोक लगाई है, राहुल गांधी को निर्दोष नहीं माना है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने फैसले में ये कहा है कि राहुल गांधी को इस तरह का कमेंट नहीं करना चाहिए था. उन्हें बोलने से पहले सोचना चाहिए था. हालांकि अदालत ने ये जरूर कहा कि इस केस में राहुल गांधी को कानून के तहत अधिकतम सज़ा क्यों दी गई, ऐसा इससे पहले कभी नहीं हुआ. फिर हाईकोर्ट ने जिला कोर्ट के फैसले को बहाल क्यों रखा, इसका कोई तार्किक कारण नहीं बताया. इसी आधार पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राहुल की सजा पर रोक लगा दी. अब ये केस सेशन कोर्ट में चलेगा, लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले का मतलब ये है कि अब राहुल गांधी की लोकसभा की सदस्यता बहाल हो जाएगी. अब राहुल गांधी को दोबारा सरकारी घर मिल जाएगा.
राहुल गांधी के केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सजा पर रोक इसलिए लगाी क्योंकि दो साल की सजा से उनकी संसद की सदस्यता चली गई. राहुल को इस बात की भी सहानुभूति मिली होगी कि उनका घर छिन गया. अगर ये सब नहीं होता तो ये मामला इतना बड़ा न बनता. इसलिए सरकारी पक्ष की तरफ से मानहानि के मामले को इतना तूल न दिया गया होता तो बेहतर होता. अब कांग्रेस इसको एक बड़ी नैतिक विजय के रूप में प्रोजैक्ट करेगी, लेकिन असल में न तो केस खत्म हुआ है, न सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने क्लीन चिट दी है. नोट करने वाले बात ये है कि “सारे मोदी चोर हैं” वाले बयान को तो सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी ठीक नहीं माना. मुझे लगता है राहुल गांधी को भी इसे अहं का मुद्दा नहीं बनाना चाहिए. जनसभाओं में नेताओं के मुंह से कई बार से ऐसी बातें अनायास निकल जाती हैं. राहुल गांधी माफी मांग लेते तो बात वहीं खत्म हो जाती. वो इतना ही कह देते कि पूरे मोदी समाज का अपमान करने का उनका कोई इरादा नहीं था, तो भी ये मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक न पहुंचता. लेकिन इस सारे मामले में अच्छी बात ये है कि अब राहुल गांधी और कांग्रेस के नेता ये नहीं कह पाएंगे कि मोदी सुप्रीम कोर्ट को भी कन्ट्रोल करते हैं..लोकतन्त्र के लिए जरूरी है कि न्यायपालिका की विश्वसनीयता बनी रहे, उसकी आज़ादी कायम रहे. और बीजेपी के लिए अच्छी बात ये है की अब फिर से चुनावी मुकाबला मोदी और राहुल के बीच होगा, बीजेपी को ये suit करता है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद विरोधी दलों के गठबंधन के नेताओं ने भी राहुल का समर्थन किया. गुरुवार को कांग्रेस ने दिल्ली सेवा अध्यादेश बिल पर केजरीवाल की आम आदमी पार्टी का साथ दिया था. इसलिए शुक्रवार को सुप्रीम कोर्टे का फैसला आते ही अरविन्द केजरीवाल ने तुरंत राहुल को बधाई दी. कहा, इस फैसले से न्यायपालिका में लोगों का भरोसा बढ़ेगा. आम आदमी पार्टी और कांग्रेस के बीच जो जुगलबंदी संसद में दिख रही है, वैसी ही जुगलबंदी संसद के बाहर दिखने लगी है.
RAHUL SHOULD NOT MAKE HIS ‘MODI’ SURNAME REMARK AN ISSUE OF EGO
After a long gap, there were smiles on the faces of Congress leaders and workers on Friday, with drums being beaten and sweets distributed at party offices. They were heaving a sigh of relief after a gap of 134 days. On Friday, Supreme Court stayed Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in a defamation case over his Modi surname remark. Rahul’s conviction had resulted in his disqualification from membership of Lok Sabha, and he had to vacate his official bungalow. Congress leaders described the apex court relief as a triumph of justice. Addressing a press conference, Rahul Gandhi, flanked by his party president, said, “come what may, my duty remains the same. I want to protect the idea of India. My mind is quite clear about my future course.” Though the SC bench of Justices B R Gavai, P S Narasimha and Sanjay Kumar has given stay on the conviction, the fact remains, Rahul Gandhi is yet to be acquitted. The apex court bench said, “the ramifications of the ruling are wide, and affect the rights of his constituency’s electorate. Considering the aforesaid, and particularly that no reasons have been given for awarding maximum sentence, the order of conviction needs to be stayed pending proceedings.” The bench also said, “had the sentence been even a day lesser, the provisions (of disqualification) would not have applied. There is no whisper by the trial judge for the need to impose maximum sentence”. The apex court bench however said that there is “no doubt that the utterances (of Rahul) were not in good taste and a person in public life is expected to exercise caution while making public speeches.” The defamation case will now go on trial in the sessions court, and in the meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will get back his Lok Sabha membership and his official bungalow. Clearly, the Supreme Court has given the stay because Rahul had lost his LS membership because of the two years’ imprisonment sentence. Rahul must have garnered public sympathy because he had to vacate his official bungalow as a result of this sentence. The matter would not have blown out of proportion, had Rahul not lost his LS membership and bungalow. It would have been better if the ruling establishment had not given much weight to the defamation case. Naturally, Congress willnow go to town to proclaim its ‘moral victory’, but, in reality, neither the case has ended nor the apex court has given him a clean chit. One point to note is that even the Supreme Court did not consider the “All people with Modi surname are thieves” remark as “not in good taste”. I feel, Rahul Gandhi should not make this remark an issue of ego. In course of public speeches, leaders often make remarks which are in bad taste. Had Rahul told the lower court that he had no intention of insulting an entire community, the matter would have ended then and there, and the case would not have reached the Supreme Court. One positive conclusion that has emerged from this episode is that neither Rahul Gandhi nor the Congress can now allege that Narendra Modi controls the Supreme Court. Credibility and independence of judiciary is the hallmark of a thriving democracy. For the Bharatiya Janata Party, it is a good sign that the forthcoming electoral battle is going to be between Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi. That suits BJP fine. On Friday, opposition leaders who are part of the INDIA alliance, came out openly to congratulate Rahul Gandhi after the stay order. The Congress party had supported Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Lok Sabha on Thursday during the debate on Delhi Services Ordinance Bill. Kejriwal was the first to congratulate Rahul Gandhi soon after the Supreme Court stayed his conviction. Kejriwal tweeted, “I welcome Hon’ble Supreme Court’s intervention in an unjust defamation case against Rahul Gandhi ji. It reinforces people’s trust in Indian democracy and the judicial system. Congratulations to him and to the people of Wayanad.” The bonhomie between AAP and Congress is now clear, both inside and outside Parliament.
नूह : सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल अफवाहों से कैसे आग फैली
हरियाणा के नूह में लगी आग चाहे ठंडी हो चुकी हो लेकिन अब पुलिस एक्शन पर सवाल उठा कर फिर से आग में पेट्रोल डालने का काम शुरू हो गया है. आज कई नए वीडियो सामने आए. एक तरफ पुलिस वीडियो फुटेज से एक-एक चेहरा पहचान रही है, वेरिफाई कर रही है, इसके आधार पर आग लगाने वालों को, पुलिस पर हमला करने वालों को पकड़ा जा रहा है. दूसरी तरफ पुलिस एक्शन पर सवाल उठाए जा रहे हैं. पुलिस की कार्रवाई को भी मजहबी नजर से देखा जा रहा है. मेवात इलाके से कांग्रेस विधायक चौधरी आफताब अहमद समेत कई नेताओं ने इल्जाम लगाया कि पुलिस सिर्फ मुसलमानों को पकड़ रही है, बेगुनाहों को पकड़ कर जेल में डाला जा रहा है, नूह में हिंसा के बहाने मुसलमानों पर जुल्म किया जा रहा है. अपने अपने इल्जाम को सही साबित करने के लिए दोनों तरफ से वीडियोज भी जारी किए गए हैं. एक वीडियो ऐसा है जिसमें हिन्दू पक्ष के लोग फायरिंग करते दिख रहे हैं. इस वीडियो को दिखाकर कहा जा रहा है कि फायरिंग तो दोनों तरफ से हुई. पत्थर तो दोनों तरफ से चले, हमला दोनों तरफ से हुआ तो फिर गिरफ्तारी सिर्फ मुसलमानों की क्यों हो रही है? आज एक ऐसा वीडियो भी सामने आया जिसमें मंदिर में छिपे हिंदू श्रद्धालुओं पर गोलियां चलते दिखाई दे रही हैं, पहाड़ियों से फायरिंग की गई. ये सबूत है इस बात का कि भाग कर मंदिर में छुपे लोगों को जान से मारने की कोशिश की गई. एक और वीडियो सामने आया जिसमें एक बहादुर महिला पुलिस अफसर ADG ममता सिंह श्रद्धालुओं को कवर देकर बाहर निकालते दिखाई दे रही हैं. वीडियो में दिखा कि कैसे ममता सिंह ने रात के अंधेरे में खेतों के रास्ते से लोगों को बचा कर निकाला. एक वीडियो मोनू मानेसर का भी है, जिसमें वो कह रहा है कि उसने किसी के खिलाफ कुछ नहीं कहा. बड़ी बात ये है कि दोनों पक्ष ये साबित करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं कि फायरिंग दूसरी तरफ से की गई. ये बात तो सही है कि हिंसा में हिन्दू और मुस्लिम दोनों मरे हैं, लेकिन हैरानी की बात है कि नूह के दंगे में नाम देखकर, पहचान कर के लोगों को मारा गया. एक लड़का मुस्लिम हलवाई की दुकान पर सालों से काम कर रहा था, उसका हिंसा से कोई लेना देना नहीं था लेकिन उसे सिर्फ इसलिए मार दिया गया क्योंकि वो हिन्दू था. इसी तरह नीरज नाम के युवक की हत्या की गई. नाम से वो हिन्दू लगा लेकिन आज पता चला कि वो असल में नीरज खान था. मुस्लिम था. आज उसे सुपुर्दे खाक किया गया. उसकी हत्या सिर्फ इसलिए कर दी गई क्योंकि दंगाइयों ने उसे हिन्दू समझ लिया था. जहां तक पुलिस एक्शन पर उठे सवालों की बात है, उस दिन नूह में ड्यूटी पर तैनात सेक्टर मजिस्ट्रेट आबिद हुसैन की तरफ से दर्ज FIR की कॉपी है. उस FIR में आबिद हुसैन ने यहां तक लिखा है कि दंगाइयों की भीड़ ने अचानक हमला किया, पुलिस पर फायरिंग की, फिर नूह शहर के राम मंदिर में लोगों को घेर कर होस्टेज बना दिया गया. चारों तरफ से फायरिंग की गई. नूह के दंगे में ये भी दिखाई दिया कि कैसे हिंदू और मुसलमान एक दूसरे के खून के प्यासे हो गए थे लेकिन इस खौफनाक दास्तान का एक और पक्ष भी है जो आपको और कोई नहीं बताएगा. नूह में 80 प्रतिशत आबादी मुसलमानों की है. यहां एक हिंदू परिवार को एक मुस्लिम परिवार ने बचाया, अपने घर में उन्हें पनाह दी और परिवार के मुस्लिम नौजवान घर के बाहर पहरा देने लगे. इसी दौरान पत्थरों की चोट से घायल एक पुलिसवाले को भी उन्होंने अपने घर में छिपाया. और ये कोई अकेली घटना नहीं हैं. नूह में ऐसे कई मुस्लिम परिवार हैं जिन्होंने हिंदुओं को बचाया. इसी तरह गुरुग्राम में जहां हिंदुओं की आबादी ज्यादा है, कई हिंदू परिवार ऐसे हैं जिन्होंने मुसलमानों को अपने घर में शरण दी. कई हिंदू नौजवानों ने मुसलमानों की दुकानों को जलने से बचाया, अपनी जान की परवाह नहीं की. इसीलिए दंगों और मार-काट की बात करते समय, इंसानियत को, एक दूसरे की रक्षा करने वाले फरिश्तों को भी नहीं भूलना चाहिए. सबसे बड़ी बात ये है कि इस सारे झगड़े की जड़ में सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल किए गए वीडियो हैं. सोशल मीडिया पर फैलाई गई समाजविरोधी अफवाहें हैं. इनकी वजह से भावनाएं भड़कीं और फिर साजिश हुई, आग लगी और नफरत की आग इतनी फैल गई कि उसपर काबू पाना मुश्किल हो गया. सोशल मीडिया पर मुसलमानों को ये दिखाकर भड़काया गया कि मोनू मानेसर शोभायात्रा में आएगा, उससे बदला लेना है, उसने धमकी दी है लेकिन इसमें आधा सच और आधा झूठ था. सोशल मीडिया के जरिए मुसलमानों को ये कहकर भड़काया गया कि शोभा यात्रा में हथियार लाए जाएंगे, मुसलमानों पर हमला होगा. आज भी इन्हीं बातों को हवा दी जा रही है. अगर ये अफवाहें इतनी तेजी से न फैली होती तो शायद हालात इतने नहीं बिगड़ते. आज जो वीडियो मैंने आपको ‘आज की बात’ में दिखाए हैं वो इसी का सबूत हैं. मेरा तो आपसे यही कहना है कि कहीं भी, कभी भी, वायरल होने वाले वीडियो पर आंख बंद करके भरोसा ना करें, भड़काने वालों की बातों में न आएं. उन हिंदू और मुस्लिम परिवारों से सीखें, जिन्होंने खतरा मोल कर दूसरे धर्म के, दूसरे मजहब के लोगों को पनाह दी, उन्हें बचाया.
NUH : HOW VIDEOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA FANNED VIOLENCE
Though the embers of communal violence in Nuh are dying down, questions are being raised by some politicians about why people belonging to a certain community are being arrested. With police verifying the veracity of several videos that were circulated before and after the riots, police action is now being looked at through the prism of religion. Congress MLA from Mewat Chaudhary Aftab Ahmed and some others have alleged that only Muslims are being arrested, and they claim that most of those arrested are innocent. Videos are being shown to claim there was firing from both sides. There is another video of a female Additional DGP of Haryana Police Mamta Singh providing cover to Hindu devotees and saving their lives in the darkness by taking them through the fields. Another video of Monu Manesar, the cow vigilante now in hiding, shows him as claiming he never threatened anybody before the VHP yatra took place. The moot point is that both sides are trying to prove that there was firing from both sides. It is also a fact that both Hindus and Muslims have died, but the worrying part is that in Nuh, rioters asked the names of victims and then proceeded to kill them. A Hindu youth working in a Muslim ‘halwai’ (sweetmeat) shop for years had nothing to do with violence, but he was killed only because of his religion. Similarly, a young Home Guard named Neeraj was killed. His first name was a Hindu one, but his full name was Neeraj Khan. He was a Muslim. The rioters mistakenly killed him thinking he was a Hindu. Neeraj Khan’s body was buried on Thursday. First Information Reports and other videos do show how people of both communities attacked each other, but there is another side to the coin. Muslims constitute 80 per cent of the population in Nuh, and yet a Muslim family saved a Hindu family during the riots. The family was kept hidden in the house of a Muslim, and Muslim boys of the family stood outside to guard them. In another incident, a policeman injured in stoning, was provided treatment by a Muslim family. These are not stray incidents. There are many such Muslim families in Nuh who saved Hindus. Similarly, in Gurugram, there were Hindu families who provided shelter to Muslims. There were Hindu youths who prevented the arsonists from setting fire to Muslim shops. While speaking about communal violence, one should not overlook the bonds of humanity that exist between both the communities.One should not forget the angels who saved the lives of innocent people. The most important point I want to stress is that provocative videos circulating in social media were at the root of violence. Fake rumours circulated on social media by anti-social elements provoked people, there were conspiracies and homes, shops and vehicles were set on fire. The fire of hatred spread so far and wide that it was difficult to douse them immediately. Muslims were provoked on social media with rumours that Monu Manesar, wanted for the grisly killing of two Muslims, Nasir and Junaid, would be coming to Nuh with the VHP yatra. There were calls for taking revenge. These rumours were full of half-truths. Muslims were instigated through social media that those participating in the Shobha Yatra (procession) will come with weapons to attack Muslims. Even today, rumours continue to circulate. Had the rumours not spread so fast, the situation would not have deteriorated. The videos that I showed in my show on Thursday night are evidence of the manner in which rumours were being circulated and people were being provoked. I would appeal to all not to blindly trust viral videos, avoid watching provocative videos, and learn from those Hindu and Muslim families, who took risks in saving the lives of people from other community.
