प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बुधवार को अयोध्या में भव्य राम मंदिर निर्माण की नींव रखी। इसके साथ ही पांच सौ साल पुराने विवाद का पटाक्षेप हो गया है। आरएसएस चीफ मोहन भागवत, यूपी के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ और यूपी की राज्यपाल आनंदीबेन पटेल की मौजूदगी में पीएम मोदी ने वैदिक मंत्रोच्चार के बीच भूमि पूजन किया।

पीएम मोदी जब पुजारियों के वैदिक मंत्रोच्चार के बीच भूमि पूजन का अनुष्ठान कर रहे थे उस समय वहां पंडाल में सैंकड़ों की तादाद में प्रमुख संत भी मौजूद थे जो इस ऐतिहासिक आयोजन के गवाह बने। इससे पहले प्रधानमंत्री ने रामलला के सामने साष्टांग प्रणाम किया। पीएम ने हनुमान गढ़ी में हनुमान जी की भी पूजा की। अयोध्या में रामलला के दर्शन करनेवाले मोदी देश के पहले प्रधानमंत्री हैं। इससे पहले वे आखिरी बार 1991 में अयोध्या गए थे।

भूमि पूजन के दौरान मोदी द्वारा रखी गई ईंटों में, 1989 में पत्थर से बनी दो ईंटें भी थीं जिन पर जय श्री राम लिखा हुआ था। कांची कामकोटि पीठम के शंकराचार्य द्वारा भेजी गई एक तांबे की पट्टिका भी समारोह के दौरान भेंट की गई। इस पट्टिका पर राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर के निर्माण की कहानी संस्कृत में लिखी गई है।

इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि आज का भूमि पूजन समारोह भारत के इतिहास में एक ऐतिहासिक बदलाव के तौर पर जाना जाएगा। यह एक नए युग की शुरुआत का प्रतीक है। इतिहास की भूलभुलैया में उलझा हुआ पांच सदी पुराना विवाद आज राम मंदिर भूमि पूजन के साथ समाप्त हो गया।

यह ऐसा पल था जिसका सपना दुनिया के करोड़ों हिंदुओं ने देखा था और उन्हें इसका इंतजार था। हमारे महान राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक भगवान श्री राम की जन्मभूमि अयोध्या की पावन नगरी ने पिछले पांच सौ वर्षों में इतना भव्य उत्सव कभी नहीं देखा था।

राम जन्मभूमि मंदिर के पुनर्निर्माण के लिए पिछले 500 वर्षों के दौरान साधुओं द्वारा किये गए आंदोलन की दर्दनाक यादें अब मध्यकालीन और आधुनिक इतिहास का हिस्सा बन गई हैं। जिस विवाद के कारण सैकड़ों बार आंदोलन हुए, झगड़े हुए, खून बहा और कुछ लोग (इतिहासकार) तो बताते हैं कि 1 लाख 74 हजार लोगों की जान इतने वर्षों में गई। उस अयोध्या विवाद का हल सब की सहमति से हो गया, सब की खुशी से हो गया, खून बहना तो दूर की बात, किसी की आंख से आंसू भी नहीं बहा, ये बहुत बड़ी बात है।

यह देश के आपसी भाईचारे की जीत है, देश की तहजीब की जीत है। सब मिलकर रहें यही संदेश है और यही रामराज्य है। यह भारतीय संस्कृति की जीत है जो विदेशी आक्रमणों के बाद भी सदियों से हमारी राष्ट्रीय अवचेतना में निहित है। संक्षेप में यही आज की ऐतिहासिक घटना का संदेश है। यह राम राज्य मॉडल की स्थापना के लिए एक आह्वान का प्रतीक है, एक ऐसा कल्याणकारी राज्य जहां सभी जाति, समुदाय और धर्म के लोग शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से मिलजुल कर रह सकें। दूसरे शब्दों में कहें तो यह प्रधान मंत्री मोदी द्वारा दिये गए नारे, ‘सबका साथ, सबका विकास’ के लक्ष्य की ओर बढ़ते हुए कदम को भी दर्शाता है।

वास्तव में, अयोध्या विवाद के शांतिपूर्ण समाधान का क्रेडिट नरेन्द्र मोदी को मिलना चाहिए। मोदी ने इस विवाद को खत्म करने के लिए अत्यंत धैर्य और दूरदर्शिता का परिचय दिया और मेहनत करते रहे। इससे बड़ी बात क्या होगी कि जिस इकबाल अंसारी के पिता हाशिम अंसारी अयोध्या विवाद के सबसे पुराने मुद्दई हैं, जिन्होंने 1949 से लेकर 2016 तक अदालत में बाबरी ढांचे की पैरवी की और राम मंदिर का विरोध किया, उसी इकबाल अंसारी को राम मंदिर के भूमिपूजन का पहले न्योता मिला और इकबाल अंसारी ने खुशी से ये न्योता कबूल भी किया। अंसारी के अलावा अयोध्या के एक और मुसलमान को भूमिपूजन कार्यक्रम का न्योता दिया गया है। मोहम्मद शरीफ खुद के खर्च पर लावारिस और गरीबों की लाशों का उनके धर्म के मुताबिक अंतिम संस्कार करते हैं।

उधर, कांग्रेस के नजरिये में अद्भुत बदलाव आया है। जिस कांग्रेस ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में राम को मिथक और किस्से-कहानियों का पात्र बताया था, जिस कांग्रेस ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में राम मंदिर के केस की सुनवाई अगले चुनाव तक टालने की मांग की हो और कल तक जिस कांग्रेस के नेता राम मंदिर के भूमिपूजन के मुहूर्त को अशुभ बताकर इसे टालने की बात कर रहे थे, आज उसी कांग्रेस के नेता रामभक्त बन गए हैं। । मंगलवार को कांग्रेस की प्रियंका गांधी से लेकर कमलनाथ तक ने भगवान राम की भक्ति के गीत गाए और देश के मूड को भांपते हुए राम मंदिर भूमि पूजन का स्वागत किया। कमलनाथ ने तो अपनी पार्टी के नेताओं के साथ मंगलवार को भोपाल में सार्वजनिक रूप से हनुमान चालीसा का पाठ किया।

मैं केवल यही कह सकता हूं कि इसे राम की कृपा ही कहा जाएगा, इसे हरि इच्छा ही कहा जाएगा कि ये नेता सकारात्मक सोचने लगे हैं। राम के गुण गा रहे हैं और हनुमान चालीसा पढ़ रहे हैं।

यह सब शांतिपूर्वक और सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव के साथ इसलिए हो रहा है क्योंकि जिस दिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट का फैसला आया था उस दिन नरेन्द्र मोदी की सरकार, RSS और विश्व हिन्दू परिषद ने लोगों से कहा था कि संयम बरतें और किसी तरह का अति उत्साह ना दिखाएं। आज भी लोगों से कहा गया कि वो अति उत्साह में ना आएं और कोई ऐसी बयानबाजी नहीं करें जिससे मुस्लिम समुदाय को दुख पहुंचे या ठेस पहुंचे। ये काम सब मिलकर करें, शांति से करें, यही भगवान राम के प्रति हमारी सच्ची श्रद्धा होगी।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid the bricks for the construction of a grand Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, marking the culmination of a five centuries old dispute. In the presence of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath and the UP Governor Anandiben Patel, Modi performed the Vedic rituals for Bhoomi Pujan ceremony.

Several hundred prominent saints watched as Modi performed the Bhoomi Pujan rituals amidst chants of Vedic hymns by priests. Earlier, the Prime Minister performed a ‘sashtang pranaam’ (lying face down on the floor) in front of Ram Lalla (the idol of Lord Ram as a newborn child) and also offered prayers to Lord Hanuman at Hanuman Garhi shrine. Modi is the first Prime Minister to perform prayers before Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. He returned to Ayodhya after a long gap of 29 years. Modi had gone to Ayodhya the last time in 1991 during L K Advani’s rath yatra. Among the bricks laid by Modi during Bhoomi Pujan, were two bricks made of stone in 1989 on which Jai Shri Ram is written. A copper plaque sent by Shankarachary of Kanchi Kamkoti Peetham, narrating the construction of Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Sanskrit, was also offered during the ceremony.

There is no doubt that today’s Bhoomi Pujan event marks a historic turnaround in India’s history. It marks the beginning of a new epoch. A five centuries old dispute, seeped in the labyrinthine of history, has come to an end with today’s event.

This was the moment more than a billion Hindus across the world had dreamed and were waiting for. The holy city of Ayodhya, the birthplace of one of our great national icons Bhagwan Shri Ram, had never seen such festivities on a grand scale in the last five hundred years.

Painful memories of agitations in the past by sadhus for the last 500 years for restoration of Ram Janmabhoomi temple, are now part of medieval and modern history. Thousands of people died during these agitations. Some historians have put the toll at around 1,74,000. It is a matter of utmost satisfaction for every Indian that the dispute has finally been resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. Forget flowing of blood, not a drop of tear flowed from anybody’s eyes as the path for restoration of Ram temple was cleared.

This is a big victory for Indian brotherhood and its centuries-old tradition of people of all communities and religions living in harmony. It is a victory for Indian culture that has seeped into our national sub-consciousness over many centuries despite foreign invasions. This, in essence, is the message of today’s historic event. It signifies a call for establishment of Ram Rajya model, a welfare state where people of all castes, communities and religions will have a peaceful co-existence. In other words, it also signifies a march towards the goal of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’, as enunciated by Prime Minister Modi.

In fact, the credit for the peaceful resolution of Ayodhya dispute must go to Narendra Modi, who exercised utmost patience and sagacity in bringing about an end to the dispute. What greater testimony for communal brotherhood is required when the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust sends the Bhoomi Pujan invitation to Iqbal Ansari, son of Hashim Ansari, the original complainant in Ram Janmabhoomi dispute from 1949 till 2016? Another Muslim social activist Mohammed Sharif has also been invited. He performs the final rites of unclaimed bodies in accordance with their religious norms, at his cost.

And there has been an unbelievable turnaround in the outlook of the Congress. Leaders of this party used to describe Lord Ram as a mythical hero from the fables, a warrior from the land of folktales. Leaders from this party tried their best to appeal to the Supreme Court to postpone its verdict till the Lok Sabha elections. A senior leader from this party objected saying today’s muhurta for Bhoomi Pujan was inauspicious. But, on Tuesday, senior leaders of the Congress, from Priyanka Gandhi to Kamal Nath sang eulogies in praise of Lord Ram and welcomed the Bhoomi Pujan, after sensing the national mood. Kamal Nath went so far as to read Hanuman Chalisa in public in Bhopal on Tuesday along with his party leaders.

I can only remark that this is all because of the Ram Kripa (blessings of Lord Ram) and Hari Iccha (wishes of God) that these leaders have turned around and have started thinking on a positive note.

This communal brotherhood that is being witnessed all over the country was possible only because of Prime Minister Modi, RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. They had appealed to the people to exercise utmost restraint and patience on the day Supreme Court delivered its final verdict. Even today, top leaders of RSS, BJP and VHP have appealed to people to celebrate the occasion with restraint and avoid hurting the feelings of the Muslim community. It is in the national interest that all of us should celebrate this occasion peacefully and collectively. This will be a true hallmark of our devotion and loyalty to the teachings of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram.

फिल्म ऐक्टर सुशांत राजपूत की मौत की जांच के मुद्दे पर महाराष्ट्र और बिहार की पुलिस आमने-सामने है। इन दोनों के बीच की तनातनी ने एक गंभीर रुख अख्तियार कर लिया है। पटना के सिटी एसपी विनय तिवारी जब रविवार को अपनी जांच टीम का नेतृत्व करने के लिए रविवार को मुंबई पहुंचे तो उन्हें म्यूनिसिपल अथॉरिटी ने 14 दिनों के लिए क्वॉरन्टीन कर दिया। मुंबई के पुलिस कमिश्नर ने कहा है कि मामले की जांच बिहार पुलिस के अधिकार क्षेत्र में नहीं आती, क्योंकि यह घटना मुंबई में हुई थी।

बिहार पुलिस का कहना है सुशांत के पिता बुजुर्ग हैं और उन्हें मुंबई पुलिस द्वारा की जा रही जांच पर भरोसा नहीं है। बिहार पुलिस ने कहा कि चूंकि सुशांत के पिता ने पटना में FIR दर्ज की है, इसलिए बिहार पुलिस को इस मामले की जांच करने का पूरा अधिकार है। मुंबई के पुलिस प्रमुख का कहना है कि पटना पुलिस को जीरो FIR दर्ज करनी चाहिए थी और इसे मुंबई पुलिस को ट्रांसफर करना चाहिए था, क्योंकि ऐक्टर की मौत मुंबई में हुई थी।

सोमवार को मेरे प्राइम टाइम शो ‘आज की बात’ में मैंने बिहार के DGP गुप्तेश्वर पांडेय से पूछा कि बिहार पुलिस जांच मुंबई पुलिस को ट्रांसफर क्यों नहीं कर रही है। उन्होंने जवाब दिया कि कार्रवाई का आंशिक कारण बिहार में मौजूद है, क्योंकि सुशांत की पूरी संपत्ति, जो कि अविवाहित थे, उनके पिता के. के. सिंह की है, और वह मुंबई पुलिस पर भरोसा करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं। पांडेय ने कहा कि यह साफतौर पर ‘क्रिमिनल ब्रीच ऑफ ट्रस्ट’ और पैसे की हेराफेरी का मामला है और बिहार पुलिस को इस मामले की जांच करने का हर अधिकार है।

गुप्तेश्वर पांडेय ने कहा कि सुशांत सिंह राजपूत के बैंक खातों में लगभग 55 करोड़ रुपये थे, जिनमें से पिछले 4 वर्षों के दौरान 53 करोड़ रुपये ट्रांसफर किए गए, जबकि उन्होंने कोई बड़ी प्रॉपर्टी भी नहीं खरीदी थी। वहीं दूसरी तरफ, मुंबई पुलिस का कहना है कि सुशांत के बैंक खातों में कुल 18 करोड़ रुपये थे, जिसमें से 4 करोड़ रुपये अभी भी उनके खातों में मौजूद हैं। मुंबई पुलिस ने दावा किया है कि उन्हें पैसे के किसी भी संदिग्ध ट्रांसफर के बारे में अब तक कोई सबूत नहीं मिला है।

बिहार पुलिस के डीजीपी ने कहा कि यह वास्तव में दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि बीएमसी ने पटना सिटी एसपी को रविवार देर रात 14 दिनों के लिए क्वॉरन्टीन कर दिया, और उनकी कलाई पर क्वॉरन्टीन स्टैंप भी लगा दिया। उन्होंने कहा, ‘उन्होंने हमारे एसपी को एक तरह से हाउस अरेस्ट किया है। वे हमारी जांच में बाधा डालना चाहते हैं।’ वहीं दूसरी तरफ मुंबई पुलिस कमिश्नर ने कहा है कि इस केस से जुड़ी जानकारी और दस्तावेज बिहार पुलिस को नहीं दिए जाएंगे। जवाब में, बिहार के डीजीपी गुप्तेश्वर पांडेय ने ‘आज की बात’ पर अपने इंटरव्यू के दौरान मुंबई पुलिस प्रमुख को चुनौती दी है कि वह आधिकारिक रूप से लिखित रूप में यही बात कहें। वास्तव में यह एक दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण स्थिति है।

मुंबई के पुलिस कमिश्नर परमबीर सिंह की यह बात सुनकर हैरानी तो होती है कि सुशांत के बैंक अकाउंट्स से रिया चक्रवर्ती के अकाउंट्स में कोई पैसा ट्रांसफर नहीं हुआ। ऐसा आरोप तो किसी ने लगाया भी नहीं है। सवाल तो ये है कि सुशांत के अकाउंट में जो पैसे थे वे गए कहां। इसके अलावा, मुंबई के पुलिस चीफ ने कहा है कि रिया चक्रवर्ती के खिलाफ अभी तक कोई सबूत नहीं मिला है। उल्टा उन्होंने सुशांत के ही परिजनों की मंशा पर सवाल उठा दिए। पुलिस कमिश्नर अगर ऐसे बयान देते हैं तो इसे कैसे जस्टिफाई किया जा सकता है? क्या इससे निष्पक्ष जांच कराने में मदद मिलेगी?

बिहार पुलिस के डीजीपी ने ‘आज की बात’ में अपने इंटरव्यू के दौरान सुशांत के जीजा ओपी सिंह, जो खुद एक वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी हैं, के द्वारा 25 फरवरी को डीसीपी बांद्रा को भेजे गए व्हाट्सऐप मैसेज का सवाल उठाया। इन व्हाट्सऐप मैसेज में सुशांत के जीजा ने अभिनेता की जान को खतरा होने की बात कही थी। मुंबई पुलिस के मुताबिक, तत्कालीन डीसीपी ने सिंह को बताया कि किसी भी जांच और कार्रवाई के लिए एक लिखित शिकायत की जरूरत है, लेकिन ओपी सिंह चाहते थे कि इसे अनौपचारिक तरीके से हल किया जाए। उन्हें बताया गया कि ऐसा करना संभव नहीं है।

बिहार के डीजीपी ने कहा कि जिंदगी और मौत के मामले में पुलिस एक ई-मेल, फोन कॉल और यहां तक कि व्हाट्सऐप मैसेज पर भी कार्रवाई कर सकती है और जान बचा सकती है, लेकिन मुंबई पुलिस ने इस मामले में कुछ नहीं किया। उन्होंने कहा कि जिस तरह से पटना सिटी एसपी को क्वॉरन्टीन किया गया है, उससे साफ पता चलता है कि मुंबई पुलिस एक साफ और निष्पक्ष जांच में बाधा डालना चाहती है। इंटरव्यू के दौरान बिहार के डीजीपी ने कहा, ‘मैं केवल सुशांत के लिए न्याय चाहता हूं।’

डीजीपी ने बताया कि कैसे पटना सिटी एसपी फ्लाइट से मुंबई पहुंचे और उनके खुद के रहने की जगह के लिए पहले से भेजे गए औपचारिक अनुरोध के बावजूद मुंबई पुलिस ने कोई व्यवस्था नहीं की। उन्होंने कहा, एसपी ने अपने व्यक्तिगत संपर्कों के जरिए खुद के रहने की व्यवस्था की। शाम को जब मुंबई पुलिस ने पटना पुलिस को फोन कर ऑफिसर के रहने के ठिकाने के बारे में पूछा, तो उन्हें पता दिया गया और उसके तुरंत बाद बीएमसी के अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और पटना सिटी एसपी को 15 अगस्त तक के लिए क्वॉरन्टीन कर दिया।

अगर मुंबई पुलिस के दावे के मुताबिक जांच सही दिशा की ओर बढ़ रही है, तो इतने सारे सवाल क्यों उठाए जा रहे हैं? मुझे लगता है कि बिहार पुलिस ने जो सवाल उठाए हैं वे जेनुइन हैं और इन पर ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए। इसके पहले पटना पुलिस के 4 जांचकर्ता जब मुंबई आए और मामले की जांच शुरू की तो उन्हें बीएमसी ने क्वॉरन्टीन में नहीं रखा, लेकिन जब एक IPS अफसर जांच का नेतृत्व करने के लिए मुंबई पहुंचे तो उन्हें रात के 11 बजे क्वॉरन्टीन कर दिया। मुंबई में इतने सारे लोग फ्लाइट से पहुंचते हैं, तो क्या इन सभी को क्वॉरन्टीन किया जाता है? रात के 11 बजे आईपीएस अधिकारी को क्वॉरन्टीन करने की क्या जरूरत थी?

यह सिर्फ दो राज्यों की पुलिस के बीच का झगड़ा नहीं रह गया है। सोमवार को शिवसेना नेता संजय राउत के बयान से राजनीति झलक रही थी। उन्होंने मुंबई पुलिस की तुलना स्कॉटलैंड यार्ड के साथ की, और बिहार पुलिस पर इशारे में तंज कसते हुए राजकुमार का एक डायलॉग कहा, ‘जिनके अपने घर शीशे के हों, वे दूसरों पर पत्थर नहीं फेंका करते।’

साफ है कि संजय राउत ने जिस तरह से बिहार पुलिस पर कमेंट किया वह सियासत का हिस्सा है। एक मशहूर अभिनेता की मौत के जिस मामले को दोनों राज्यों की पुलिस प्रोफेशनल तरीके से सुलझा सकती थी, वह अब पॉलिटिकल हो गया है। ऐसा कतई नहीं होना चाहिए। शिवसेना के नेताओं को लगता है कि बिहार में चुनाव होने वाले हैं, इसलिए नीतीश कुमार मुंबई में हुई इस घटना में बिहार पुलिस को घुसा रहे हैं ताकि इसे मुद्दा बनाया जाए। वहीं, बिहार के नेताओं को लगता है कि महाराष्ट्र की पुलिस बिहार की पुलिस को जलील कर रही है और उसके साथ दुर्व्यवहार कर रही है क्योंकि वह कुछ लोगों को बचाना चाहती है।

मैंने इस मामले को लेकर कई एक्सपर्ट्स से बात की। इन सभी का मानना था कि बिहार और महाराष्ट्र के बीच की तनातनी परोक्ष रूप से उन लोगों की मदद करेगी जो वर्तमान में जांच के दायरे में हैं। यदि दोनों राज्यों की पुलिस साथ मिलकर नहीं चलेंगी, तो सुशांत सिंह राजपूत की मौत के पीछे के रहस्य को सुलझाना और मुश्किल होता जाएगा।

The inter-state tussle between Maharashtra and Bihar police over the issue of probe into actor Sushant Rajput’s death mystery has acquired serious proportions. Mumbai municipal authorities have put the Patna city SP Vinay Tiwari under 14 days’ quarantine when he arrived in Mumbai on Sunday to lead his investigation team. Mumbai Police commissioner has said that Bihar police has no jurisdiction over the probe, since the place of occurrence was Mumbai.

Bihar police says, the actor’s father K K Singh is old and inform, he has no faith in the probe being done by Mumbai police, and since he has filed an FIR in Patna, Bihar police has full authority to probe abetment of suicide case. Mumbai police chief says that Patna police should have filed a zero FIR and transferred it to Mumbai, since the actor died in Mumbai.

On Monday, in my prime time show ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, I asked Bihar director-general of police Gupteshwar Pandey, why Bihar police was not transferring the probe to Mumbai police. He replied that the partial cause of action lies in Bihar, because the entire properties of Sushant, who was unmarried, belongs to his father K K Singh, who is unwilling to trust the Mumbai Police. Pandey said this was a clear case of criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of funds and Bihar police has every right to probe this case. He said, during the last four years, Sushant Rajput had nearly Rs 55 crore in his bank accounts, out of which Rs 53 crore were transferred, though he did not buy any big property.

On the other hand, Mumbai Police says that Sushant had Rs 18 crore in his bank accounts, out of which Rs 4 crore are still lying in his accounts. The city police claimed, no evidence has been collected so far about any suspicious transfer of funds.

The Bihar Police DGP said, it was indeed unfortunate that the Patna City SP was quarantined by BMC for 14 days on late Sunday night, and a quarantine stamp was put on his wrist. “This amounts to putting our SP under house arrest. They want to obstruct our investigation”, the Bihar DGP said.

On its part, Mumbai police commissioner ruled out handing over documents or reports related to the case to the Bihar Police. In reply, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, during his interview on ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, challenged the Mumbai Police chief to communicate the same remark officially in writing to him.

A sorry state of affairs, indeed.

It is really surprising when Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh says that no amount was transferred from Sushant’s bank accounts to Rhea Chakraborty’s accounts. Nobody has made such an allegation. The question still remains as to which accounts were the money transferred from Sushant’s accounts. Moreover, the Mumbai police chief has said that no evidence has so far been gathered against Rhea Chakraborty. On the contrary, he raised questions about the intention of Sushant’s family members. Can anyone justify such remarks from a city police chief? Will this help in carrying out an impartial probe?

The Bihar Police DGP, in course of his interview on ‘Aaj Ki Baat’, raised the question of WhatsApp messages sent on February 25 to DCP, Bandra by Sushant’s brother-in-law O P Singh, who is himself a senior IPS officer. In the messages, Sushant’s brother-in-law alleged that the actor’s life was in danger. According to Mumbai Police, the then DCP told Singh that a written complaint was required for any inquiry and action, but O P Singh wanted this to be resolved informally. He was told that this was not possible.

The Bihar DGP said that in matters of life and death, even an e-mail, a phone call or a WhatsApp message is acceptable for police to take action and save a life, but nothing was done by Mumbai police. He said, the manner in which Patna city SP was quarantined clearly showed that Mumbai Police wants to obstruct a fair and impartial probe. “I only want justice for Sushant”, said the Bihar DGP during the interview.

The DGP revealed how Patna City SP reached Mumbai by flight, and despite formal request sent earlier for his accommodation, Mumbai Police did not make any arrangement. He said, the SP, through his personal contacts made his own arrangement. In the evening, when Mumbai police rang up Patna Police about where the officer was staying, they were given the address, and soon thereafter, BMC officials reached the spot and put him under quarantine till August 15.

If Mumbai Police claims that the probe is moving towards the right direction, then why are so many questions being raised?

I personally believe, the questions raised by Bihar Police are genuine and must be addressed. Four Patna Police investigators earlier came to Mumbai and started their own probe, but the BMC did not put them under quarantine, but when an IPS officer reaches Mumbai to lead the investigation, he is quarantined at 11 pm in the night. So many people land in Mumbai by flight, are all of them quarantined? What justification was there to put an IPS officer under quarantine at 11 pm?

This is no more a tussle between the police force of two states. The remark by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Monday was loaded with political overtones. He compared Mumbai Police with Scotland Yard, and in an oblique hint at Bihar Police, recited a Raaj Kumar dialogue “jinke apney ghar sheeshey ke hon, who doosron par patthar nahin phenka kartey” (those who live in glass houses must not throw stones at others).

Clearly, Sanjay Raut’s comment on Bihar Police was part of a political design. The death case of a renowned actor could have been solved professionally by the police of both states, but now it is taking political overtones. This must be shunned. Shiv Sena leaders believe, since assembly elections are due in Bihar, Nitish Kumar is trying to make an issue out of it by sending his police to probe an incident that took place in Mumbai. On the other hand, leaders from Bihar feel that Mumbai Police is insulting and misbehaving with Bihar Police, in order to shield some powerful people.

I have spoken to several experts. All of them were of the view that the tussle between Bihar and Maharashtra will indirectly help those who are presently under the lens of investigators. If the police of both states do not cooperate, it will be difficult to unravel the mystery behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट 5 अगस्त को रिया चक्रवर्ती की उस याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगा जिसमें उसने अपने खिलाफ दर्ज एफआईआर को मुंबई पुलिस को ट्रांसफर करने की मांग की है। इस बीच महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे और बीजेपी नेता देवेंद्र फडणवीस के बीच मुंबई पुलिस द्वारा पिछले 47 दिनों से की जा रही मामले की जांच के तरीकों को लेकर जुबानी जंग छिड़ गई है।

पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री फडणवीस ने अपने ट्वीट में कहा कि ‘सुशांत सिंह राजपूत मामले को सीबीआई को सौंपने को लेकर एक विशाल जनभावना है, लेकिन राज्य सरकार की अनिच्छा को देखते हुए ED कम से कम एक EIRR रजिस्टर कर सकता है, क्योंकि इसमें पैसों के दुरुपयोग और मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का ऐंगल भी सामने आया है।’ शुक्रवार को प्रवर्तन निदेशालय ने सुशांत के पिता द्वारा बिहार पुलिस में की गई FIR के आधार पर मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग का मामला दर्ज किया था।

शुक्रवार की शाम मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरे ने फडणवीस पर बरसते हुए आरोप लगाया कि उन्होंने 5 साल तक मुख्यमंत्री रहने के बावजूद मुंबई पुलिस की क्षमता पर संदेह जताया है। ठाकरे ने कहा, जांच को स्थानांतरित करना राज्य पुलिस का अपमान होगा जो योद्धाओं की तरह कोविड-19 महामारी से लड़ रही है। ठाकरे ने कहा, ‘उन पर भरोसा न करना उनका अपमान है। मैं सुशांत सिंह राजपूत के सभी प्रशंसकों को बताना चाहूंगा कि उन्हें मुंबई पुलिस पर भरोसा करना चाहिए और मामले के बारे में जो भी जानकारी है, उसे मुहैया कराना चाहिए।’

एनसीपी नेता और महाराष्ट्र सरकार में मंत्री जयंत पाटिल ने वादा किया है कि मुंबई पुलिस जल्द ही अपने नतीजे पर पहुंचेगी। उन्होंने कहा, ‘मुझे नहीं पता कि सुशांत के गृह राज्य बिहार में इस मुद्दे का इस्तेमाल कैसे किया जाएगा, लेकिन महाराष्ट्र के नेताओं को इसके बारे में ट्वीट करना और अपनी राय देना बंद करना चाहिए।’ दूसरी ओर, बिहार के उपमुख्यमंत्री सुशील कुमार मोदी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘सुशांत की मौत के मामले में बिहार पुलिस द्वारा निष्पक्ष जांच के रास्ते में मुंबई पुलिस बाधा डाल रही है। बीजेपी को लगता है कि इस मामले को सीबीआई को संभालना चाहिए।’ रामविलास पासवान, उनके बेटे चिराग पासवान, बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे जैसे बिहार के कई नेताओं समेत डॉक्टर सुब्रमण्यम स्वामी ने भी सीबीआई जांच की मांग की है।

यही वक्त है कि हम इस विवाद से राजनीति को दूर रखें और इस रहस्यमय मामले की तह तक पहुंचें। यदि पटना पुलिस की क्रैक टीम ने मुंबई जाकर सुशांत की मौत से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी और दस्तावेजों का पता नहीं लगाया होता तो किसी ने भी मुंबई पुलिस की जांच करने के तरीकों पर सवाल नहीं उठाया होता। शुक्रवार को इंडिया टीवी ने सुशांत की पूर्व प्रेमिका अंकिता लोखंडे, उनके दोस्त सिद्धार्थ पिठानी और सुशांत के पूर्व नौकर अशोक कासू से बात की। इंडिया टीवी को इन लोगों से मामले की जानकारी इसलिए लेनी पड़ी क्योंकि सुशांत की मौत अभी भी रहस्यों के जाल में उलझी एक पहेली बनी हुई है।

किसी के लिए भी यह यकीन करना मुश्किल है कि एक ऐसा ऐक्टर जिसके पास नाम, काम, पैसे और प्यार की कोई कमी नहीं थी वह फांसी लगाकर अपनी जान दे देगा। सुशांत एक मेधावी छात्र थे। उन्होंने 11 इंजीनियरिंग एंट्रेंस एग्जाम्स को पास किया था। उन्होंने दिल्ली कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग के एंट्रेंस एग्जाम में सातवीं रैंक हासिल की थी, लेकिन ऐक्टिंग में करियर बनाने के लिए पढ़ाई छोड़ दी। उन्होंने बॉलीवुड की कुछ बेहतरीन फिल्मों में काम किया, वह एक उभरते हुए सितारे थे, लेकिन तेजी से बढ़ते उनके कदमों को नियति ने रोक दिया। वह लाखों युवा भारतीयों के लिए एक आइकन थे, और उन्होंने उनके दिलों में महत्वाकांक्षा जगाई थी। उनकी आत्महत्या सभी के लिए एक बड़ा झटका थी।

शुक्रवार को उनकी एक्स-गर्लफ्रेंड अंकिता लोखंडे, जिनके साथ सुशांत 6 साल तक रिलेशनशिप में थे, ने इंडिया टीवी को बताया कि ब्रेकअप के बावजूद रिया की फैमिली को लेकर सुशांत ने उन्हें कई व्हाट्सऐप मैसेज भेजे थे। अंकिता ने इन सभी संदेशों को पटना पुलिस को मुहैया करवाया है। अंकिता ने लगभग वही बातें कहीं है जिस तरह के आरोप सुशांत के पिता ने अपनी FIR में लगाए हैं। चूंकि अंकिता और सुशांत के बीच डेढ़ साल पहले ब्रेक-अप हुआ था, इसलिए अकेले उनके बयानों के आधार पर निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचना उचित नहीं होगा।

अंकिता के बयान के बाद शुक्रवार को ही रिया चक्रवर्ती ने अपने वकीलों के माध्यम से एक वीडियो संदेश जारी किया जिसमें उसने कहा, ‘मुझे ईश्वर और न्यायपालिका पर अटूट विश्वास है। मुझे पूरा भरोसा है कि मुझे न्याय मिलेगा। भले ही इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिया पर मेरे बारे में बहुत-सी भयानक बातें कही जा रही हैं, मैं अपने वकीलों की सलाह को मानते हुए कोई टिप्पणी नहीं करूंगी क्योंकि यह मामला अदालत में विचाराधीन है। सत्यमेव जयते, सत्य की जीत होगी।’

सिद्धार्थ पिठानी ने शुक्रवार को इंडिया टीवी से बात करते हुए रिया का बचाव करने की कोशिश की। सुशांत की मौत की पिछली रात पिठानी उनके अपार्टमेंट में मौजूद थे। वह सुशांत की बॉडी को देखने वाले पहले शख्स थे। सुप्रीम कोर्ट के समक्ष अपनी याचिका में रिया ने आरोप लगाया था कि सुशांत का परिवार पिठानी पर उनके खिलाफ बयान देने के लिए दबाव बना रहा है। उसने एक ई-मेल की कॉपी भी अटैच की थी जिसे पिठानी ने भेजा था। पिठानी ने शुक्रवार को इंडिया टीवी को बताया कि उन्हें रिया के खिलाफ बयान देने के लिए सुशांत के परिवार ने फोन किया था, लेकिन कोई धमकी नहीं दी गई थी।

सुशांत के पूर्व नौकर अशोक कासू, जिसने 3 साल तक उनके लिए काम किया था, को रिया ने दिवंगत ऐक्टर की जिंदगी में आने के बाद नौकरी से निकाल दिया था। अशोक कासू ने इंडिया टीवी को बताया कि रिया ने सुशांत की लाइफ पर पूरा कंट्रोल कर लिया था। कासू ने बताया कि सुशांत के सारे फैसले रिया लिया करती थी। उसने खुलासा किया कि सुशांत की 2 बहनें एक बार उनसे मिलने आई थीं, लेकिन अपार्टमेंट की सोसाइटी के जरिए उन्हें मैसेज भेजा गया कि वह उनसे नहीं मिलना चाहते। कासू ने कहा कि ऐसा पहले कभी नहीं हुआ था। पटना पुलिस को मिले बैंक के ट्रांजैक्शन डीटेल्स से पता चलता है कि सुशांत के खाते का अधिकांश पैसा रिया और उसके परिवार के सदस्यों पर खर्च किया जा रहा था। मुझे ये सब इसलिए बताना पड़ा क्योंकि उनकी मौत के पीछे का रहस्य अभी भी अनसुलझा है।

सुशांत सिंह राजपूत जैसे सफल ऐक्टर बहुत सारे नौजवानों की उम्मीदें जगाते हैं, उन्हें सपने दिखाते हैं। लेकिन जब ये उम्मीदें टूटती है, सपने बिखरते हैं, तो बहुत तकलीफ होती है, चिंता होती है। इंडिया टीवी की नजर इस केस पर बनी रहेगी। हम दोनों पक्षों की बात सुनवाएंगे, पुलिस की जांच पर नजर रखेंगे, और उम्मीद करते हैं कि जल्दी ही इस रहस्य से पर्दा उठेगा।

With the Supreme Court likely to hear on August 5 actor Rhea Chakraborty’s petition seeking transfer of FIR against her to the Mumbai police, a political battle of words has broken out between Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis over the manner in which Mumbai police had been handling the probe since last 47 days.

Former chief minister Fadnavis had said in his tweet that “there is a huge public sentiment about handing over Sushant Singh Rajput case to CBI, but looking at the reluctance of state government, at least ED can register an ECIR, since misappropriation and money laundering angle has come out.” On Friday, Enforcement Directorate filed a money laundering case on the basis of Bihar Police FIR lodged by Sushant’s father.

On Friday evening, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray criticized Fadnavis alleging that he has doubted the capability of the Mumbai Police, despite having served as the chief minister for five years. Thackeray said, transfer of the probe will be an insult to the state police which has been fighting the Covid-19 pandemic like warriors. “Not to trust them is an insult to them. I would like to tell all fans of Sushant Singh Rajput that they should trust Mumbai police and pass on whatever information they have about the case”, said Thackeray.

NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Jayant Patil promised that the Mumbai police will reach its conclusion soon. “I do not know how this issue will be used in Sushant’s home state Bihar, but leaders from Maharashtra must stop tweeting and expressing their opinions about it.”

On the other hand, Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted, “Mumbai Police is putting obstruction in the way of a fair investigation by Bihar Police in Sushant death case. BJP feels that CBI should take over this case”. Several Bihar politicians, like Ramvilas Paswan, his son Chirag Paswan, BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey and Dr. Subramanian Swamy have also demanded a CBI probe.

It is time that we keep politics out of this controversy and reach to the bottom of this mysterious case. Nobody would have questioned Mumbai Police’s line of investigation, had it not been for the crack team of Patna police, which had gone to Mumbai and unearthed vital information and documents relating to his death.

On Friday, India TV spoke to Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, his friend Siddharth Pithani and Sushant’s ex-servant Ashok Kasu. India TV had to seek details from these people because Sushant’s death still remains an enigma wrapped in mystery.

Nobody can still believe that an actor having name, fame, money and love, would take his own life by hanging himself. Sushant was a brilliant student, he cleared 11 engineering entrance exams, secured seventh rank in Delhi College of Engineering entrance exam, but dropped out because of his acting career. He worked in some of the best films in Bollywood, he was a rising star, but his march to success was halted by destiny. Sushant was an icon for millions of young Indians, he stoked the flames of ambition in their hearts. His suicide came as a shock to all.

On Friday, his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, who had a six-year-long relationship with him, told India TV that despite the break-up, Sushant used to send her WhatsApp messages about Rhea’s family, which she has passed on to Bihar police. Ankita has more or less corroborated most of the allegations made by Sushant’s father in his FIR. Since the break-up took place a year and a half ago, it would not be proper to reach a conclusion based on Ankita’s statements alone.

On Friday, after Ankita spoke out, Rhea Chakraborty released a video message through her lawyers, in which she said, “I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe, I will get justice. Even though a lot of horrible things are being said about me on the electronic media, I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers as the matter is sub-judice. Satyamev Jayate, the truth shall prevail.”

On Friday, Siddharth Pithani tried to defend Rhea while speaking to India TV. Pithani was present in the apartment on the night preceding Sushant’s death. He was the first to notice Sushant’s body. In her petition before the Supreme Court, Rhea had alleged that Sushant’s family was pressurizing Pithani to give statement against her. She had attached the copy of an e-mail which Pithani had sent. On Friday, Pithani told India TV that he had got telephone calls from Sushant’s family to give statement against Rhea, but there was no intimidation.

Sushant’s former servant Ashok Kasu, who worked for him for three years, was thrown out of his job by Rhea, when she took over the actor’s affairs. Ashok Kasu told India TV that it was Rhea who had full control over Sushant’s life. He said, Rhea used to take all decisions for Sushant. He revealed that two sisters of Sushant had once come to meet him, but a message was sent through the apartment society that he would not meet them. It never happened before, said Kasu.

Details of bank transactions obtained by Patna police reveal that most of the money from Sushant’s account was being spent on Rhea and her family members. I have to mention all these because the mystery behind his death still continues.

Successful actors like Sushant give birth to dreams in the minds of millions of admirers, but when their hopes come dashing to the ground, it causes a lot of pain and worries. India TV will continue to keep a close watch on the probe, it will telecast the viewpoints from all sides, and we hope the mystery will be unraveled soon.
