Samjhauta Express Blast

The reality is that when Congress was developing its strategy for elections, they did two big things. First, they built up the case of ‘saffron terrorism’ (bhagva aatankvaad) and then, Saadhvi Pragya, Col. Purohit and Swami Aseemanand were named as accused in the Samjahuta Express blasts case. Initially, the terrorists named in this case were Muslims but their names later disappeared from the investigation. An environment was created to project that the RSS and pro-Hindutva organisations were behind the blast. The then Home Minister Sushil Shinde termed it as ‘saffron terror’. Now that proof of their lie are emerging and revelations are being made, it is getting increasingly clear that the motive was to gain sympathy from Muslims and win the elections.
