इस वक्त देश भर में सबसे ज्यादा चर्चा चल रही है सोशल मीडिया के के ज़रिए फैलाई जा रही अफ़वाहों के ख़तरे की. अफ़वाहें किस तरह पूरे शहर में आग लगा सकती हैं, AI videos के ज़रिए कैसे शहर में दंगे करवाए जा सकते हैं, ये मध्य प्रदेश के उज्जैन और पंजाब की एक यूनिवर्सिटी में देखने को मिला. उज्जैन पुलिस का आरोप है कि पांच social media influencers के ज़रिए Facebook, Instagram पर पूरे शहर में झूठी अफ़वाह फैलाई गई कि शाही मस्जिद को गिराने के लिए बुलडोज़र पहुंच चुके हैं. जबकि ये झूठ था.

ये social media influencers उज्जैन के थे और वो प्रोटेस्ट में भी पहुंच गये. पथराव, आगजनी हुई, लेकिन पुलिस ने स्थिति को फौरन संभाल लिया. हिंसा के वक्त न काजी की अपील काम आई, न पुलिस की दलील, फिर लाठीचार्ज हुआ, टियरगैस चली. अब तक 15 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है. पूरी दुनिया AI के ख़तरे की बात ही कर रही है लेकिन उज्जैन में तो ये practical देखा गया. मस्जिद के आस-पास AI created bulldozer दिखाकर दंगा फैला दिया गया.

जो मस्जिद तोड़ी नहीं गई, उसे टूटा हुआ दिखा दिया गया. ये तो भला हो शहर काजी का जिसने लोगों को सावधान किया. अब पुलिस ये देखेगी कि AI video किसने बनाया. फिर उन लोगों की तलाश करेगी जिन्होंने इसे फैलाया. पुलिस के ज़िम्मे अब ये नया काम आ गया लेकिन AI generated video कितने खतरनाक हैं, ये लोगों को समझ आ गया. आम पब्लिक के लिए असली और नक़ली video में फर्क करना मुश्किल होता है. भावनाएं भड़कने में देर नहीं लगती. इसलिए बहुत सावधान रहने की ज़रूरत है. 

LPU में वीडियो: कुछ सच, कुछ फेक,मामला सियासी हुआ

सोशल मीडिया का इस्तेमाल करके आग लगाने की कोशिश का एक उदाहरण पंजाब की लवली प्रोफेशनल यूनिवर्सिटी में देखने को मिला. अफवाह के चक्कर में यूनिवर्सिटी में हंगामा हुआ, छात्रों का प्रदर्शन अचानक हिंसक हो गया, तोड़फोड़ और आगजनी हुई, पुलिस की गाड़ियों को आग के हवाले कर दिया गया. दरअसल LPU में दो दिन से छात्र प्रोटेस्ट कर रहे थे.

प्रदर्शन से दो दिन पहले सोशल मीडिया पर एक मैसेज चला जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया कि LPU गर्ल्स हॉस्टल में घुसकर एक बाहरी शख्स ने एक छात्रा के साथ रेप किया. ये भी कहा गया कि बाद रेप की शिकार छात्रा ने आत्महत्या कर ली. इस मैसेज से छात्र भड़क गए, प्रोटेस्ट करने लगे. देर रात बड़ी संख्या में कुछ लोग आए और यूनीवर्सिटी में तोड़फोड़ शुरू कर दी. जिन लोगों ने आगजनी, तोड़फोड़ की, उन सबने अपने मुंह कपड़े से ढंक रखे थे, उनके पास वॉकी टॉकी भी थे. पुलिस को लाठीचार्ज करना पड़ा.

यूनीवर्सिटी प्रबंधन ने नियमित कक्षाओं को दस दिन के लिए स्थगित कर दिया, मिड-टर्म परीक्षाएं टाल दी गई हैं. डरे हुए छात्र हॉस्टल खाली करके अपने घर जा रहे हैं. Lovely Professional University में हंगामा क्यों हुआ, इसके कई कारण हैं. मामला उलझा हुआ है. पहली बात, किसी को भी नहीं पता कि क्या वाक़ई rape हुआ या नहीं ? क्या university में बाहर से नक़ाबपोश आए और उन्होंने हिंसा की ? क्या पुलिस ने hostel की लड़कियों के साथ मारपीट की ? दरअसल यहां मामला पूरी तरह political है. पंजाब में चुनाव होने वाले हैं. सारे राजनीतिक दल इसमें कूद पड़े हैं.

अकाली दल के चीफ सुखबीर बादल ने तो साफ़ कह दिया कि चूंकि Lovely University के संस्थापक अशोक मित्तल ने आम आदमी पार्टी छोड़ी, तो अरविंद केजरीवाल उनसे बदला ले रहे हैं. इसीलिए पंजाब में पुलिस पर भी शक है. यहां भी videos और सोशल मीडिया मेसेजेस की भरमार है. यहां भी ये समझना मुश्किल है कि कौन सा message सच्चा है और कौन सा video genuine है? मज़े की बात ये है कि आम आदमी पार्टी कह रही है कि इस मामले में राजनीति नहीं होनी चाहिए लेकिन रील बनाने के चक्कर में राजनीति तो दिल्ली में भी हुई, यहां आम आदमी पार्टी बीजेपी से टकराई. 

चुनाव आयोग : तुम जीते तो ठीक, तुम हारे तो हेराफेरी?

कांग्रेस के निशाने पर इस वक्त चुनाव आयोग है. कल देश भर में प्रदर्शन के बाद आज कांग्रेस कार्य समिति ने मांग की कि SIR पर फौरन रोक लगाई जाय और जिन 13 करोड़ वोटरों के नाम हटाये गये हैं, उन्हें वोटर लिस्ट में फिर से शामिल किया जाय. राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार को अपने पद पर बने रहने का अब कोई अधिकार नहीं है. कल INDIA ब्लॉक की मीटिंग भी इसी मुद्दे पर होगी, लेकिन अखिलेश यादव नहीं जाएंगे, ममता बनर्जी दिल्ली पहुंच गईं. राज ठाकरे और उद्धव ठाकरे रविवार को चुनाव आयोग के खिलाफ मार्च निकालेंगे, लेकिन INDIA ब्लॉक में वीडिय कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए शामिल होंगे. मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के खिलाफ दोनों सदनों में इंडिया ब्लॉक महाभियोग का प्रस्ताव लाएगा.

आज बीजेपी नेता स्मृति ईरानी ने कांग्रेस पर तीखे वार किये, पूछा कि क्या वह हिमाचल, कर्नाटक और केरल के रिज़ल्ट को गैरकानूनी मानती है ? कांग्रेस ने चुनाव आयोग को मुद्दा बनाने के लिए पूरी ताक़त लगाई हुई है, ज्ञानेश कुमार को घेरने की पूरी कोशिश है. ये राहुल गांधी का favourite issue है. कांग्रेस की चुनाव में बार-बार हार क्यों होती है इसका excuse है. अपने समर्थकों को बताने के लिए अच्छा ख़ासा बहाना है. “कहीं पे निगाहें कहीं पे निशाना” है, लेकिन ज्ञानेश कुमार ने परसों पूरे issue की हवा निकाल दी.

मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ने अच्छा किया कि उन्होंने जनता की आवाज़ सुनी, जनमत को मान दिया, जिन voters को नोटिस मिले, उनको राहत दी, वोटर के लिए काम आसान किया. BLO अब वोटर के घर जाएंगे, सारे दस्तावेज़ खुद जुटाएंगे, जहां SIR नहीं हो रहा है, वहां नए voters के लिए Form-6 से parent declaration हटा दिया. ECInet के review का order भी ठीक है. 

चुनाव आयोग अब मशीन की तरह काम नहीं करेगा. ज्ञानेश कुमार ने तीनों चुनाव आयुक्तों की मीटिंग करके आपसी विवाद को ख़त्म किया, तस्वीर भी जारी कर दी और ये confirm कर दिया कि चुनाव आयोग के आपसी मतभेदों में ये कहीं नहीं आया कि चुनाव प्रक्रिया में कोई हेराफेरी हुई, वोटों में कहीं गड़बड़ी हुई. राहुल गांधी ने चुनाव आयोग के internal conflict को ‘वोट चोरी’ का नाम देने की कोशिश की, लेकिन जनता ये तो पूछेगी कि जहां विपक्ष की जीत होती है, वहां चुनाव आयोग सही हो जाता है और जहां हार होती है वहां manipulation दिखाई देता है. ये कैसे हो सकता है?

Debates have begun about the dangers to law and order posed by fake rumors spread through AI-generated videos on social media.

Fake rumors about the famous Shahi Masjid in Ujjain being demolished with bulldozers were spread through AI content, and Muslims were asked to converge. Thousands of Muslims converged.

There was not a single bulldozer present near the masjid, but out of rage, mobs resorted to stoning and arson. Police had to use lathi charge and teargas to bring the situation under control. Ujjain

Police has found the role of five social influencers who took to Facebook and Instagram and posted AI generated videos. All five of them are from Ujjain. 15 persons have been arrested The City Qazi appealed to the mob to remain peaceful, but the crowd was unwilling to listen.

At a time when the world is debating the risks posed by AI, it is being used in practice in a city like Ujjain. The mosque that was not broken, was shown as demolished. Police is now tracing people who created these mischievous videos.

This is another burden on city police. For the general public, it is difficult to differentiate between true and fake videos. Such videos can rouse passions like a fire light by a match.

Please be very careful. Do not believe all videos that you see on social media. Nowadays most of them are AI generated. 

LPU videos: Some true, some fake, issue now political

Another example of lighting the fire through social media came to notice from Phagwara, Punjab, where Lovely Professional University is located.

LPU students were staging peaceful protests for the last two days, but on Monday morning a message was spread on social media alleging that an outsider entered the hostel and raped a female student. The fake news also said, the victim had committed suicide.

Students went on a rampage. Late night, many outsiders, with faces covered, entered the campus and resorted to arson and ransacking. They were reportedly carrying walkie-talkies.

Police resorted to lathi charge to bring the situation under control and the university management closed the campus for ten days. Mid-term exams were postponed. Students have started vacating the hostels out of fear. The LPU incident is a bit complicated.

One, nobody knows whether any rape took place? Did outsiders with faces covered enter campus and started arson? Why Punjab Police beat up girls living in hostels? The matter has now become purely political.

Assembly elections are going to take place and all parties are busy. Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal said, since Ashok Mittal, the founder of LPU, had left AAP, Arvind Kejriwal is exacting revenge. He said, the needle of suspicion also falls on police.

There are a large number of videos and social media messages and it is difficult to sift the real from the fake. Interesting, AAP is saying there must be no political on this issue, but in the bid to make a reel in Delhi, AAP clashed with BJP. 

Election Commission : If you win, it’s fine, if you lose, then ‘vote chori’?

The Election Commission continues to be the target of Congress party. After protests in several states yesterday, the Congress Working Committee today demanded that SIR be stopped forthwith, and names of 13 crore voters which have been removed, be re-included in voter lists.

Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray will carry out a morcha on Sunday and they may join through videoconferencing. There are reports that INDIA bloc may bring an impeachment resolution in both houses of Parliament against the CEC. BJP leader Smriti Irani today said, does the Congress think its electoral victories in HP, Karnataka and Kerala were illegal?

Congress has put in its entire machinery to make ECI the main issue and to corner Gyanesh Kumar. This appears to be Rahul Gandhi’s favourite issue. It becomes an excuse for telling party supporters why Congress loses elections frequently.

There is this famous idiom from a Bollywood song by Majrooh, “कहीं पे निगाहें, कहीं पे निशाना” (looking at somebody, but aiming at another). But Gyanesh Kumar took the wind out of the sails two days ago.

It is good that the CEC listened to the voice of the people, respected public opinion, and gave relief to those voters who were issued notices. Now BLOs (booth level officers) will go to the home of each voter, collect documents, and in places, where SIR is not going on, parent declaration has been removed from Form 6 for new voters.

The ECInet review order is also good. ECI will no more work like a machine. By holding a meeting of all three election commissioners, Gyanesh Kumar ended the narrative of internal dispute, pictures were issued to the public and it was confirmed that nowhere during the internal differences in ECI did questions arise about vote manipulation during election process.

Rahul Gandhi tried to give the internal conflict in ECI, the name of ‘vote chori’, but now people will ask: Where opposition parties win, ECI is good and when they lose, they find vote manipulations. How can this be so?

उत्तर प्रदेश में चुनाव से पहले आज अमित शाह और योगी आदित्यनाथ ने विरोधियों को बड़ा संदेश दिया. अमित शाह ने कहा कि योगी ने यूपी का कायाकल्प कर दिया है, यूपी के गुंडे माफ़िया को मिट्टी में मिला दिया, क़ानून का राज स्थापित किया, जहां पहले देसी कट्टे बनते थे, वहां डिफेंस कॉरिडोर बन रहा है, जहां से सेना के लिए हथियार बन रहे हैं.

योगी ने भी अमित शाह की तारीफ़ की, कहा, यूपी में विकास का जो रोडमैप बना है, उसमें ज़्यादातर ideas अमित शाह के थे. जो लोग उत्तर प्रदेश की सियासत को समझते हैं, वो जानते हैं कि अमित शाह और योगी के बीच जो कैमिस्ट्री दिखी, उसका क्या मतलब है. अमित शाह ने यूपी की राजनीति की दशा और दिशा बदलने का काम किया. दिल्ली से लेकर लखनऊ तक योगी के बारे में जो अटकलें लगाई जा रही थीं, उनको एक झटके में ख़त्म कर दिया.

योगी के जो विरोधी कहते थे कि अमित शाह योगी को गिराने में लगे हैं, उनकी उम्मीदों पर पानी फेर दिया. अमित शाह ने योगी के बारे में जो-जो कहा, उससे साफ़ संदेश गया कि योगी को अमित शाह की full backing है. यूपी का चुनाव दोनों नेता मिल कर लड़ेंगे.

राहुल सोचो: कांग्रेस चुनाव क्यों हारती है?

 कांग्रेस ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार और SIR के खिलाफ देश भर में प्रोटेस्ट किया. दिल्ली, लखनऊ, पटना, कोलकाता, गुवाहाटी, शिमला, देहरादून और चंडीगढ़ में खूब हंगामा हुआ. दिल्ली में निर्वाचन सदन तक मार्च निकाला, लेकिन पुलिस ने रास्ते में रोक लिया. राहुल गांधी ने कहा था कि ज्ञानेश कुमार को तुरंत इस्तीफा देना चाहिए लेकिन कल कांग्रेस ने तीनों चुनाव आयुक्तों के इस्तीफे की मांग की.

प्रियंका गांधी ने कहा कि ज्ञानेश कुमार को गिरफ्तार किया जाना चाहिए क्योंकि जो आरोप लगे हैं, वो देशद्रोह से कम नहीं है. केन्द्रीय मंत्री चिराग पासवान ने बीच की लाइन ली. पासवान ने कहा, जनता का भरोसा चुनाव आयोग पर है, इसलिए अगर कुछ आशंका या सवाल है, तो चुनाव आयुक्तों को सामने आकर जवाब देना चाहिए. कांग्रेस को आत्ममंथन करना चाहिए. राहुल गांधी को खुद से पूछना चाहिए कि कांग्रेस बार बार चुनाव क्यों हारती है ? 2014 में तो मोदी के पास चुनाव आयोग नहीं था, तो कांग्रेस कैसे हार गई ? 2017-18 में मोदी के पास चुनाव आयोग था, तो बीजेपी मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान, छत्तीसगढ़ और पंजाब में कैसे हार गई ?

उस समय कांग्रेस के अखबार National Herald ने लिखा था कि मोदी और शाह के जो समर्थक ये दावा करते हैं कि बीजेपी को हराया नहीं जा सकता, जो कहते हैं कि मोदी चुनाव लड़वाने के ‘master’ हैं और अमित शाह आधुनिक भारत के ‘चाणक्य’ हैं, उन्हें बताना चाहिए कि बीजेपी 2018 से 2019 के बीच 8 राज्यों में चुनाव क्यों हारी? उस समय National Herald ने ‘वोट चोरी’ का ज़िक्र नहीं किया. 2024 में मोदी के पास चुनाव आयोग था.लोकसभा में बीजेपी 240 पर कैसे अटक गई ?

इलेक्शन कमिशन में हज़ारों कर्मचारी हैं, चुनाव प्रक्रिया में लाखों सरकारी कर्मचारी और शिक्षक जुड़ते हैं, आज कल तो हर हाथ में mobile होता है, हर moment record होता है, तो क्या कहीं वोटों में हेराफेरी होती, तो वो सामने नहीं आती ? ये बात सही है कि चुनाव आयोग के काम करने के तरीक़े में problem है. SIR deletion addition के process को लेकर सवाल हैं. यही बात दोनों दोनों इलेक्शन कमिशनर्स ने point out की थी लेकिन दोनों ने..कहीं ये नहीं कहा कि election process को rig किया गया. चुनाव आयोग के internal टकराव का मतलब ‘वोट चोरी’ निकालना, अपनी कमियों पर पर्दा डालने की कोशिश है. 

बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री: जमुई की बेटी की पहचान उजागर करने के लिए माफ़ी मांगें

समस्तीपुर से एक और वीडियो आया है जिसमें कुछ गुंडे एक नाबालिग लड़की के साथ बदसलूकी करते दिख रहे हैं. पुलिस का दावा है कि ये वीडियो एक साल पुराना है. पुलिस ने वीडियो में दिख रहे चार बदमाशों की पहचान कर ली है, POCSO एक्ट के तहत केस दर्ज कर लिया. एक आरोपी धर्मेंद्र सहनी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. दो दिन पहले समस्तीपुर में ही इस तरह की एक और वारदात में गिरफ्तार चार आरोपियों में से तीन – राहुल पासवान, रामबाबू सहनी और अवधेश पासवान के सरकारी जमीन पर बने कच्चे घरों को गिरा दिया गया.

 मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी ने जमुई में दरिंदगी की शिकार हुई लड़की के परिवार से मुलाकात की. यहां तक तो ठीक था लेकिन सीएम आवास में लड़की के परिवार वालों के साथ हुई मुलाकात की तस्वीरें सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट कर दी गईं. लड़की और उसके परिवार की पहचान उजागर कर दी. ये कानूनन अपराध है. देर रात ख़बर आई कि मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय के staff सागर प्रसाद के ख़िलाफ़ FIR दर्ज की गई है. सागर प्रसाद ने ही मुख्यमंत्री के X handle पर लड़की के परिवार वालों के साथ सम्राट चौधरी की फोटो पोस्ट की थी.

ये अच्छी बात है कि कम से कम सरकार ने फौरन एक्शन लिया. सम्राट चौधरी मुख्यमंत्री हैं, अनुभवी नेता हैं. उन्हें इतना तो पता होना चाहिए कि sexual harassment के केस में किसी पीड़ित महिला की पहचान उजागर करना अपराध है. एक नाबालिग़ लड़की के केस में तो ये अपराध और भी संगीन हो जाता है. सिर्फ़ post delete करने से कुछ नहीं होगा. एक कर्मचारी के खिलाफ FIR दर्ज कराने से भी काम नहीं चलेगा. सम्राट चौधरी को अपनी ग़लती माननी चाहिए, माफ़ी मांगनी चाहिए. जो मुख्यमंत्री लोगों के रील बनाने का मज़ाक़ उड़ा रहे थे, वह ख़ुद ही अपनी रील बनाने के चक्कर में फंस जाएं, इससे बड़ा मज़ाक़ और क्या हो सकता है?

The two top heavyweights, Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath yesterday sent a clear message: they will jointly fight the oncoming UP assembly polls. At a public event yesterday, Amit Shah said, Yogi has changed the face of UP, his govt has exterminated all mafia gangsters, re-established the majesty of law, and in a state, known for making illegal country made guns (katta), the Defence Corridor is now manufacturing weapons for our security forces.

Yogi also praised Amit Shah and said, most of the ideas for the growth roadmap for UP came from Amit Shah. Those who understand the nuances of UP politics will realize the chemistry between Amit Shah and Yogi. Amit Shah played a pivotal role in changing the political landscape of politics in UP.

From Delhi to Lucknow, speculations were rife about Yogi. In one single stroke, Amit Shah ended such speculations. Those critics who were claiming that Amit Shah was trying to bring down Yogi have had their hopes shattered. Whatever Amit Shah said about Yogi yesterday, clearly show, the message has gone down that Yogi has got Amit Shah’s full backing. Both leaders will now jointly fight UP elections. 

Rahul should introspect, why is Congress losing elections

Congress workers yesterday staged protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and SIR in several cities across India. Protests were held in Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati, Shimla, Dehradun and Chandigarh. In Delhi, Congress workers marched towards Nirvachan Sadan, but were stopped by police. Rahul Gandhi had demanded CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation on Thursday, but yesterday, Congress leaders upped the ante, demanding all three election commissioners must quit.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra demanded immediate arrest of Gyanesh Kumar, saying the charges relate to sedition. Union Minister Chirag Paswan, chief of Lok Janshakti Party, an ally of BJP, took a middle path. He said, all the election commissioners must come forward and tell the people about the truth. He said, people have trust in ECI, and if there are any questions or apprehensions, they should come out and explain. The main opposition party Congress must introspect. Rahul Gandhi must ask himself why his party is losing elections again and again.

In 2014, when Lok Sabha elections were held, Narendra Modi had no control of ECI, then why did the Congress lose? In 2017-18, Modi was in power, then why did BJP lose in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Punjab? At that time the Congress newspaper National Herald wrote, those supporters of Modi and Shah who were claiming that BJP cannot be defeated because Modi is a ‘master’ in contesting elections, and Amit Shah is the ‘Chanakya’ of modern India, must explain why BJP lost assembly polls in eight states between 2018-2019. At that time, the National Herald did not mention about ‘vote chori’.

In 2024 LS elections, Modi only managed to win 240 seats. Why? Thousands of employees work in the ECI, lakhs of govt employees and teachers are involved in the election process. Today everybody carries a cellphone , every moment can be captured on camera. Had there been rigging, had it not come before the public? It is true that there are problems with the style of working in ECI. Firstly, the SIR deletion, addition process. Both election commissioners had pointed this out, but nowhere did they say that the election process was rigged. Interpreting the internal conflict of the Election Commission as ‘vote theft’ is an attempt to cover up one’s own shortcomings. 

Bihar CM : Apologize for revealing Jamui victim’s identity

Another video of sexual harassment emerged from Samastipur again. Local police it seems be a year-old incident. All four accused have been identified, POCSO Act has been slapped against them. One Dharmendra Sahni was arrested, the other three are absconding. Two days ago, four persons were arrested for the sexual harassment incident in Samastipur. The thatched houses of three of them, Rahul Paswan, Rambabu Sahni and Avadh Paswan were demolished. Bihar chief minister Samrat Chaudhary met the family of the adolescent girl from Jamui who was brutally assaulted. But pictures of his meeting with the family were posted on X handle of the chief minister.

The victim and her family members were clearly identified. This is punishable under law. Late night, an FIR was filed against Sagar Prasad, one of the CMO staff, for posting it on social media. It is good that the state govt took swift action. Samrat Chaudhary is the chief minister, he is an experienced leader. At least he should know that revealing the identity of victim in a sexual harassment case is a crime. In the case of this adolescent girl, the charges become more serious. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi described Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar as a “traitor”. He alleged that all elections held in India after 2023 were ‘rigged’. He also alleged that BJP won all elections since 2023 through ‘vote chori’ (vote theft), all laws enacted by the elected governments after 2023 are ‘tainted’ because the governments were formed through ‘vote chori’. “From ‘vote chori’, comes ‘kanoon chori’ and from that comes ‘sanstha chori’,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi said, even if the BJP wins the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, people will not believe the result as polls were being “rigged” by Gyanesh Kumar. He claimed that vote manipulations took place in Maharashtra, Haryana and other states and said, the charges that he levelled for the last three years, have “now been admitted” by the two election commissioners. Rahul Gandhi said, all governments at some point of time face anti-incumbency, but Modi never faced anti-incumbency. “One reason behind this is that Gyanesh Kumar is helping BJP in ‘vote chori’”, he alleged.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi pointed out that Congress has lost 92 elections till now and for every defeat, it comes up with an excuse. The main focus of Rahul Gandhi’s press conference was to intimidate Gyanesh Kumar. Rahul listed what he had been saying on ‘vote chori’ for the past three years, but could not come up any fresh allegation. Rahul Gandhi said at least 10 times that “we know what is happening, we have information, but we will reveal them in 3-4 months.” Why doesn’t he reveal them right now? What is he waiting for? Actually, he does not have solid proof of ‘vote chori’. The Indian Express report was on internal differences between CEC and the other two election commissioners and not ‘vote chori’.

Nowhere in the report it has been alleged that Gyanesh Kumar manipulated elections. Instead, the two election commissioners said Gyanesh Kumar does not even listen to the government. Both commissioners said, he should have asked the government about making changes in Form 6, but he did not ask. BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi reminded Rahul Gandhi that the Congress has been out of power in West Bengal since 49 years, in Odisha since 26 years, in Uttar Pradesh since 37 years and in Gujarat since 31 years. Does it mean all this happened because of ‘vote chori’?, he asked. It is also a futile argument that anti-incumbency had no effect on BJP. Since 2014, there have been 20 elections, in which BJP lost power due to anti-incumbency. But Rahul Gandhi is carrying on with his single tune “vote chori”, “vote chori”. In Hindi, there is a proverb, ‘Thotha Chana, Baaje Ghana”. In English, it is “empty vessels make noise”.

UP elections: Why is Congress damaging Samajwadi party?

Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav began his PDA rath yatra on a saffron chariot from Rahul Gandhi’s constituency Raebareli. Bulldozers were brought to garland the leader. Not a single Congress leader was seen at the yatra. Already tension is brewing between SP and Congress over poll alliance in UP. It reflected in Akhilesh’s speech. He said, no party or leader must think that if he demands seats, he will get from the alliance. “Seats will be allotted to that party which can give guarantee of win”, he said. In this war of words, Imran Masood and Asim Waqar are batting on behalf of Congress, while SP has fielded Iqra Hasan, S. T. Hasan and Ashu Malik.

Iqra Hasan cautioned Congress leaders to stay within limits. All India Muslim Jamaat chief Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi said, now that Akhilesh has painted his rath saffron, Muslims must stay away from his yatra. Some do not like Akhilesh sitting on a saffron rath, some do like his posters, but Iqra Hasan bluntly said, in UP, Congress will have to follow Akhilesh Yadav. There are two reasons. One, Congress leaders Imran Masood and Asim Waqar have been targeting SP for last several days. Naturally, they are not doing this on their own. Two, in Raebareli, Congress won all elections with the help of SP.

One can say that Raebareli is a Congress citadel, but the fact is, Rahul Gandhi was elected MP with the help of Akhilesh Yadav in 2024 LS polls. It was surprising why no Congress leader was seen in Raebareli, when Akhilesh launched his yatra. On the contrary, Congress leaders said, he should have told Rahul Gandhi before starting his yatra from Raebareli. It seems, all these so-called tensions are meant only to create pressure. It will be ironed out, once the election starts in full swing. 

Women under attack in Bihar: Where is police?

Bad news from Bihar. After the sexual assault on a girl in Jamui, incidents of sexual attacks on girls took place in Darbhanga, Banka and Samastipur. In Karpoorigram of Samastipur, an adolescent girl was waylaid by goons. They carried out sexual assault, and it was captured on camera. Out of fear, the girl did not report to police, but the goons posted the video on social media. Police then swung into action and arrested Rahul Kumar, Awadesh Paswan, Rambabu Sahni and Vikas Kumar, after they were identified on video. Samastipur police said, those watching the ugly act as silent spectators will be booked and questioned.

 In Banka, a girl, who had come to visit Mandar Parbat, was accosted by goons. She was thrashed and sexually assaulted. The criminals made a video of the act and posted on social media. Police is now on the lookout of these goons. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav targeted CM Samrat Chaudhary and alleged that law and order has practically collapsed in Bihar. “Criminals have no fear of law”, he said. LJP leader Chirag Paswan said, it seems Bihar Police has lost its authority and power. “There can be no compromise on the issue of security of women”, he said. JD-U leader and minister Ashok Chaudhary made a shameful remark. He said, such incidents happen in the US and Japan.

BJP leader and minister Dilip Jaiswal alleged that all such acts are part of a deep conspiracy to defame Bihar. In such matters of serious nature, anybody trying to shield the government is akin to supporting the criminals. It is shameful that incidents of sexual assaults took place against girls in Jamui, Samastipur and Banka and the police came to know about it only after the videos were put on social media. It means, one, criminals have now no fear of police, and two, the girls who became the victims did not report to police out of fear. Chirag Paswan’s question is important. What happened to the authority of Bihar Police?

राहुल गांधी ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार पर देशद्रोही होने का इल्ज़ाम लगाया. कहा, 2023 के बाद जितने भी चुनाव हुए सब फ़र्ज़ी हैं, बीजेपी ने जितने भी चुनाव जीते, सब ‘वोट चोरी’ से जीते, 2023 के बाद जितने भी क़ानून बने वो सब असंवैधानिक हैं क्योंकि जिस सरकार ने क़ानून बनाए वो ‘वोट चोरी’ से बनी.

राहुल गांधी ने दावा किया कि वो जो बातें तीन साल से कह रहे हैं, अब वो दो चुनाव आयुक्तों ने भी मान ली हैं. राहुल ने कहा कि सबके ख़िलाफ़ anti-incumbency होती है लेकिन मोदी के ख़िलाफ़ जनता में कोई नाराज़गी नहीं दिखती. इसकी एक ही वजह है कि ज्ञानेश कुमार ‘वोट चोरी’ में बीजेपी की मदद कर रहे हैं. बीजेपी प्रवक्ता सुधांशु त्रिवेदी ने कांग्रेस का चुनावी इतिहास खोलकर रख दिया. कहा, जिस ज़माने में कांग्रेस चुनाव जीतती थी, तब voter ID नहीं होते थे, बूथ लूटे जाते थे. जबसे CCTV कैमरे लगे, Voter card बने वोटों की लूट बंद हुई और कांग्रेस के लिए चुनाव जीतना मुश्किल हो गया.

सुधांशु त्रिवेदी ने गिनाया कि कांग्रेस 92 बार चुनाव हारी है और अब अपनी हार को छुपाने के बहाने बना रही है. राहुल गांधी की प्रेस कांफ्रेंस मुख्यत: ज्ञानेश कुमार को धमकाने के लिए थी. राहुल गांधी ने तो ये गिनाया कि पिछले तीन साल में उन्होंने ‘वोट चोरी’ के बारे में क्या-क्या कहा, पर वो कोई नई बात नहीं कह पाए. राहुल ने 10 बार, 10 तरह से कहा कि हमें पता है, हमारे पास information है, पर तीन-चार महीने में बताएंगे. अभी क्यों नहीं बताते ? इंतज़ार किस बात का ? असल में वोट चोरी का कोई प्रमाण नहीं है । The Indian Express की रिपोर्ट दो चुनाव आयुक्तों और मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के बीच internal मतभेद के बारे में है. उसमें कहीं नहीं कहा गया है कि ज्ञानेश कुमार ने या सरकार ने चुनाव में धांधली की, उल्टा, दोनों Election Commissioners ने तो ये कहा कि ज्ञानेश कुमार सरकार की भी नहीं सुनते. Form-6 बदलने से पहले उन्हें सरकार से पूछना चाहिए था, जो उन्होंने नहीं पूछा.

बीजेपी की तरफ़ से सुधांशु त्रिवेदी ने राहुल गांधी को याद दिलाया कि पश्चिम बंगाल में 49 साल से, ओडिशा में 26 साल से, उत्तर प्रदेश में 37 साल से और गुजरात में 31 साल से कांग्रेस की सरकार नहीं है. तो क्या ये ‘वोट चोरी’ की वजह से हुआ ? ये भी बेकार की बात है कि बीजेपी पर anti-incumbency का असर नहीं हुआ. 2014 से लेकर अब तक बीस चुनाव ऐसे हैं, जो बीजेपी, anti-incumbency की वजह से हारी लेकिन राहुल गांधी बिना किसी सबूत के, बार-बार ‘वोट चोरी’ ‘वोट चोरी’ की रट लगाए हुए हैं. इसे कहते हैं, थोथा चना, बाजे घना.

यूपी चुनाव : कांग्रेस सपा के पीछे क्यों पड़ी है?

उत्तर प्रदेश में अखिलेश यादव ने अपनी पार्टी के चुनाव प्रचार की शुरुआत की. अखिलेश के स्वागत के लिए बुलडोजर भी लाए गए थे. बुलडोजर से ही अखिलेश को मालाएं पहनाई गईं. अखिलेश यादव राहुल गांधी के चुनाव क्षेत्र रायबरेली में थे. कांग्रेस का कोई नेता उनकी रैली में नज़र नहीं आया. गठबंधन को लेकर कांग्रेस और सपा के नेताओं के बीच तल्खी नज़र आ रही है. यही तल्खी अखिलेश के भाषण में दिखी.

अखिलेश ने कहा कि कोई भी पार्टी या नेता ये न समझे कि वो सीट मांगेंगे और गठबंधन में उन्हें सीट मिल जाएगी. वो उसी पार्टी को वही सीट देंगे, जिस पर उसकी जीत की गारंटी होगी. अखिलेश की रथयात्रा को लेकर कांग्रेस और सपा नेताओं के बीच ज़ुबानी जंग छिड़ गई. कांग्रेस की तरफ से इमरान मसूद और आसिम वकार बैटिंग कर रहे हैं तो सपा ने इकरा हसन, एस. टी. हसन और आशु मलिक को मैदान में उतारा. इकरा हसन ने कांग्रेस नेताओं को हद में रहने की नसीहत दी. कहा, कांग्रेस राष्ट्रीय पार्टी हो सकती है लेकिन यूपी में तो अखिलेश यादव के पीछे ही चलना पड़ेगा.

ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम जमात के अध्यक्ष मौलाना शहाबुद्दीन रज़वी बरेलवी ने कहा कि अखिलेश ने अपने रथ का रंग भी भगवा कर लिया, इसलिए अब मुसलमानों को इस रथ यात्रा से दूर रहना चाहिए. किसी को अखिलेश का ‘भगवा रथ’ पर बैठना बुरा लगा तो किसी को उनका पोस्टर पसंद नहीं आया. लेकिन असली बात इक़रा हसन ने कही.

इकरा ने कहा कि यूपी में तो कांग्रेस को अखिलेश यादव के पीछे ही चलना होगा. इसकी दो वजहें हैं, पिछले कई दिन से इमरान मसूद और आसिम वक़ार जैसे कांग्रेस नेता सपा पर वार कर रहे हैं और ये साफ़ है कि वो इस तरह का हमला अपने दम पर तो नहीं करेंगे. दूसरी बात ये कि रायबरेली में कांग्रेस सारे चुनाव सपा की मदद से जीतती आई है. कहने को तो ये कांग्रेस का गढ़ है पर राहुल गांधी भी लोकसभा का चुनाव अखिलेश यादव की मदद से जीते थे. इसलिए हैरानी हुई कि रायबरेली में जब अखिलेश ने कैंपेन लॉन्च किया, तो कांग्रेस का कोई नेता दिखाई नहीं दिया. उल्टे, कांग्रेस के नेताओं ने कहा कि यहां से यात्रा शुरू करने से पहले राहुल से पूछ लेना चाहिए था. लगता है, ये तकरार सिर्फ़ प्रेशर बनाने के लिए है, चुनाव आते-आते सुलझ जाएगी. सपा और कांग्रेस का फोकस मुस्लिम वोट पर है लेकिन योगी की नजर सनातनियों की एकता पर है. 

बिहार में महिलाओं पर ज़ुल्म : पुलिस कहाँ सोई पड़ी है?

 बिहार से फिर बुरी खबरें आईं, जमुई के बाद दरभंगा, बांका और समस्तीपुर में भी बेटियों के साथ सरेआम बदसलूकी की घटनाएं हुईं. समस्तीपुर के कर्पूरीग्राम में एक नाबालिग लड़की को कुछ गुंडों ने सड़क पर घेर लिया. उसके साथ बदसलूकी की, इस शर्मनाक करतूत का वीडियो बनाया. लड़की ने डर के कारण इस घटना की शिकायत पुलिस से नहीं की लेकिन गुंडों ने ये वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट कर दिया. जब मामला सामने आया तो पुलिस को पता लगा ये वारदात 15 सितंबर की है.

 वीडियो के आधार पर गुंडों की पहचान राहुल कुमार, अवधेश पासवान, रामबाबू सहनी और विकास कुमार के तौर पर हुई. पुलिस ने कुछ ही घंटों में चारों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. समस्तीपुर पुलिस का कहना है कि जो लोग मूकदर्शक बनकर देख रहे थे, उनकी धरपकड़ कर उनसे पूछताछ की जाएगी. बांका में मंदार पर्वत घूमने आई एक लड़की के साथ बदसलूकी की गई, लड़की के साथ मारपीट की गई. गुंडों ने अपनी इस शर्मनाक करतूत का वीडियो बनाया और सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट किया. अब पुलिस अपराधियों की खोज कर रही है. मुद्दा बेटियों की सुरक्षा का है, तेजस्वी यादव ने मुख्यमंत्री सम्राट चौधरी पर वार किया, कहा कि बिहार में कानून और व्यवस्था पूरी तरह चरमरा गई है, अपराधी बेलगाम हो गए हैं, कानून का डर खत्म हो गया है.

चिराग पासवान ने कहा, लगता है बिहार में पुलिस का इक़बाल खत्म हो गया है. पुलिस को अपराधियों में कानून का खौफ पैदा करना चाहिए, बहन-बेटियों की सुरक्षा के साथ कोई समझौता नहीं हो सकता. लेकिन जेडीयू के नेता और मंत्री अशोक चौधरी ने शर्मनाक बात कही. कहा, ऐसी घटनाएं तो अमेरिका और जापान में भी होती हैं. बीजेपी नेता और मंत्री दिलीप जायसवाल ने कहा, ये सब सरकार को बदनाम करने की साजिश है, कुछ लोग साजिशन बेटियों के साथ गलत हरकत करते हैं, उसका वीडियो बनाते हैं, फिर उसे सोशल मीडिया पर डालते हैं, ताकि सरकार को निशाना बनाया जा सके. इस तरह के मामलों में भी अगर कोई सरकार का बचाव करने की कोशिश करता है तो ये अपराधियों का समर्थन करने जैसा है.

 ये निहायत ही शर्मनाक है कि जमुई के बाद समस्तीपुर और बांका में भी बिहार की बेटी के साथ घिनौना गुनाह हुआ. यहां भी पुलिस को वीडियो पोस्ट होने के बाद ही घटना की जानकारी मिली. इसके दो मतलब हैं. एक तो अपराधियों के दिल में पुलिस का कोई डर नहीं है, दूसरा, जो लड़कियां इस अपराध का शिकार हुईं, वो डर के कारण पुलिस में रिपोर्ट नहीं करतीं. इसलिए चिराग पासवान का ये सवाल सही है कि पुलिस के इक़बाल का क्या हुआ ?

Infighting in the Election Commission has come out in the open. Charges have been levelled against the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for hijacking the EC.

 Those levelling charges are none other than his two colleagues, the two Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sadhu and Vivek Joshi. They have alleged that Gyanesh Kumar is running the EC arbitrarily, he is not listening the advice of his two colleagues and they get news about his decisions from the media.

According to The Indian Express report, both the Election Commissioners raised red flags 14 times in the last ten months, wrote letters to the Cabinet Secretary, but did not get any response. The charges are clear.

The CEC does not attach any importance to the advice of his two colleagues and several times, key decisions are taken keeping the two ECs in the dark. Sandhu and Joshi have alleged that the working of Election Commission is being centralized and all key decisions are taken in Delhi.

The powers of election officials on the ground are being curtailed. In its statement , Election Commission said: “All official orders, decisions and administrative directions issued by the Commission carry full legal sanctions and follow established statutory procedures.”

The ECI said, focusing on certain internal notes and observations over a 10-month period, while ignoring the larger body of approvals, decisions, instructions and initiatives, presents only “one part of the picture”.

It claimed: “All these decisions are an outcome of the unanimous decisions of the full Commission in the past one year.” The ECI said, platforms like ECINet operate under “strict data security protocols” designed to prevent unauthorised tampering and manipulation.

IT security checks and audit controls are standard cybersecurity measures implemented across national databases. The ECI said, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and District Election Officers (DEOs) continue to function according to their statutory powers for voter registration and deletion under the law.

It is no more a secret that Gyanesh Kumar considers ECI as his ‘jaagir’ (estate). He does not care two hoots about the fact that his two colleagues are equal to his rank, nor he bothers about the fact that the Election Commission’s reputation has been badly damaged because of his attitude.

Questions have arisen about the ECI’s credibility. If the names of leaders like Lal Krishna Advani, the Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and the CBI director undergo a checking process, questions will be raised. Who is going to trust the Election Commission?

The replies that the ECI has given in its press statement does not clarify: Whom did Gyanesh Kumar consult before giving the command of Election Commission data to his favourite officers? Why was the access to the command that controls the voter list update limited to a few?

Gyanesh Kumar is silent about on whose instruction or advice did he order changes in Form-6? Is it not a matter of shame that the other two ECs were getting information about ECI activity from the media?

The claim made by the CEC that all decisions were taken together. If all decisions were taken harmoniously together, why did the two Election Commissioners send complaints? Why did the news about infighting in ECI spill out? Gyanesh Kumar has to reply.

The responsibility of ECI is to conduct free and fair elections in cooperation with all political parties. Election is the lifeline of our democracy.

Questions that have been raised over the electoral process, on voter lists, on SIR need answers. It’s not the ECI, but Gyanesh Kumar must reply. 

EC dispute : Opposition gets gunpowder for digital media

The top opposition leaders who were lying listless and desperate after a string of assembly election defeats have suddenly got a fresh dose of tonic. Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray and Arvind Kejriwal reacted as if Gyanesh Kumar has committed a murder.

They demanded he should be arrested and sent to jail. Some other leaders said, the alliance of opposition parties must be revived. For the Congress, the problem is Narendra Modi. The Congress reaction was, Gyanesh Kumar was acting as the puppet of the PM.

On the whole, opposition leaders got the chance to claim that they were not defeated by the people in elections, but they lost because of ECI. The Indian Express report gives a different story. The report says, the number of TMC candidates who lost in Bengal because of the ECI is almost equal to that of BJP candidates who lost.

Questions will also be asked why Congress opposed Sukhbir Singh Sandhu’s appointment. He is being projected as a hero today by the opposition, The new narrative that has now been set provides fresh gunpower to the ongoing digital media war. This will be sufficient for raising the tempo for a few days. 

UP campaign : Is Yogi ahead of Akhilesh, Mayawati?

Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav has been making new poll promises every day. Today he launched his PDA yatra from Bachhrawan, Raebareli.

Raebareli is Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s constituency. Congress is SP’s ally in UP, but Akhilesh Yadav neither informed, nor invited Rahul to his yatra. Congress MP Imran Masood said, Akhilesh must remember that ‘hand’ is necessary to run a ‘bicycle’.

If any leader thinks he can defeat the BJP in UP, he will face the fate of Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal. Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati has also become active. She announced that her party would go alone in UP, Uttarakhand and Punjab polls. She anointed her second nephew Ishan Anand as the party national coordinator.

Both Mayawati and Akhilesh are busy keeping their houses in order, but UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s strategy is different. Yogi is busy distributing appointment letters, announcing new schemes and in the process, he is targeting the opposition.

He launched Bharat Taxi app, Krishak Samridhi Yojana portal and Setu app. He distributed loan cheques to farmers, and certificates to taxi drivers. Akhilesh Yadav has also started making promises to build houses and provide jobs, but his alliance with Congress is proving to be a speed breaker.

Mayawati is still busy with her family. The stress is on which leader should be allowed to sit with her on the dais and deliver speech. Mayawati must realize that the world has now changed. She has to go among the people to canvass votes. 

Swami Ramdev : “I am in fine health, stop spreading lies”

Yog guru Swami Ramdev is nowadays angry over lies being spread on social media. Swami Ramdev said, he popularized Yoga and Ayurveda throughout the world and gave tough competition to multi-national companies.

“This is the reason why lies are being spread about me”, he said. Swami Ramdev clarified that his heart, brain, liver and kidney are in fine condition and his knees will last another 100 years. Social media is agog with fake news about Swami Ramdev undergoing treatment in AIIMS.

Those who spread such rumours must watch India TV’s Yoga show daily in the morning when Swami Ramdev teaches yoga LIVE to viewers. Vicious campaign is launched on social media against Patanjali products.

One can understand Swami Ramdev is giving tough competition to multinational companies, but one must not forget how he toiled hard to reach Yoga to every home.

Swami Ramdev has scored success in Patanjali business, but when he spends a large part of his earnings on teaching Vedic education, Sanskar, Veda and Puranas for the propagation of Sanatan Dharma, his efforts must be appreciated.

चुनाव आयोग के अंदर की लड़ाई सामने आ गई. मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार पर चुनाव आयोग को हाइजैक करने का आरोप लगा. इल्ज़ाम लगाने वाले उनके अपने साथी, दोनों चुनाव आयुक्त सुखबीर सिंह संधू और विवेक जोशी हैं. उनका आरोप है कि ज्ञानेश कुमार मनमर्ज़ी से चुनाव आयोग चलाते हैं, बाक़ी दो आयुक्तों की सलाह नहीं सुनते, उनके फ़ैसलों की जानकारी बाक़ी दोनों कमिशनर्स को मीडिया से मिलती है.

The Indian Express की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इसकी शिकायत सुखबीर सिंह संधू और विवेक जोशी ने दस महीनों में चौदह बार की, कैबिनेट सचिव को चिट्ठियां लिखीं लेकिन उन्हें कहीं से कोई जवाब नहीं मिला. जो आरोप लगे हैं, उनमें मोटी बात ये है कि सुखबीर सिंह संधू और विवेक जोशी के मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार से मतभेद हैं. ज्ञानेश कुमार उनकी सलाह को तवज्जो नहीं देते. कई बार दोनों चुनाव आयुक्तों को अंधेरे में रखकर फैसले लेते हैं.

संधू और विवेक जोशी का आरोप है कि चुनाव आयोग के कामकाज को centralize किया जा रहा है. सारे फैसले दिल्ली से हो रहे हैं. ग्राउंड पर काम करने वाले चुनाव आयोग के अफसरों के अधिकार छीने जा रहे हैं. चुनाव आयोग ने अपने बयान में इन आरोपों को बेबुनियाद बताया कि आयोग में फैसले मनमाने तरीके से हो रहे हैं और दूसरे आयुक्तों की बात को नजरअंदाज किया जा रहा है.

आयोग ने किसी कमिश्नर का नाम नहीं लिया लेकिन ये कहा गया कि आयोग की तरफ से जो आदेश आए, वो पूरी तरह से तय कानूनी प्रक्रिया के तहत जारी किए गए. फैसले आम सहमति से लिए जाते हैं. आयोग ने कहा, दस महीनों के कुछ इंटरनल नोट्स दिखाकर पूरे चुनाव आयोग के रोल पर सवाल उठाना उचित नहीं है. आयोग ने कहा कि पिछले एक साल में SIR समेत चालीस से ज्यादा चुनाव सुधार के फैसले सर्वसम्मति से किये गये. ECINet के बारे में आयोग ने कहा कि ECINet जैसा प्लेटफॉर्म सख्त डेटा सिक्योरिटी प्रोटोकॉल के तहत काम करता है. इसलिए उसकी कुछ सीमाएं हैं लेकिन EROs से कोई अधिकार नहीं छीना गया.

आयोग का दावा है कि EROs और DEOs पहले की तरह वोटर लिस्ट में नाम जोड़ने या हटाने का काम अपने कानूनी अधिकार के तहत कर रहे हैं. ये कोई सीक्रेट नहीं है कि ज्ञानेश कुमार चुनाव आयोग को अपनी जागीर समझते हैं. उन्हें न तो इस बात की परवाह है कि क़ानूनन बाक़ी दोनों चुनाव आयुक्त भी उनके बराबर हैं, न ही उन्हें इस बात की परवाह है कि उनके attitude की वजह से चुनाव आयोग की ख़ूब बदनामी हुई है. विश्वसनीयता पर सवाल उठे हैं. अगर दिल्ली के SIR में लाल कृष्ण आडवाणी, एस. जयशंकर, खुद सुखबीर सिंह संधू और CBI Director के नामों की चेकिंग की जाएगी, उनसे सवाल पूछे जाएंगे, तो चुनाव आयोग पर कौन भरोसा करेगा ?

चुनाव आयोग ने अपने बयान में जो जवाब दिया है उसमें ये बात साफ़ नहीं हुई कि ज्ञानेश कुमार ने चुनाव आयोग के data की command अपने चहेते अफ़सरों को किससे पूछकर दी ? जिस command से voter list का update control होता है, उसका access limited क्यों कर दिया ? ज्ञानेश कुमार ने ये भी नहीं बताया कि Form-6 में जो बदलाव हुआ वो किससे पूछकर किया ? क्या ये शर्म की बात नहीं है कि बाक़ी दोनों चुनाव आयुक्तों को आयोग की गतिविधियों की जानकारी मीडिया से मिलती थी ? मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त का ये कहना काफ़ी नहीं है कि सारे फ़ैसले मिलकर होते थे. अगर फ़ैसले मिल-बैठकर किए गए होते तो दो चुनाव आयुक्त उनके ख़िलाफ़ शिकायत क्यों करते ? अंदर की लड़ाई बाहर क्यों आती ? इसका जवाब ज्ञानेश कुमार को देना है. चुनाव आयोग की ज़िम्मेदारी है, राजनीतिक दलों के साथ मिलकर काम करना, निष्पक्ष चुनाव करवाना. ये हमारे लोकतंत्र की जान है. चुनाव के process पर, वोटर लिस्ट पर, SIR पर, जो भी सवाल उठे हैं, उनका जवाब अब चुनाव आयोग को नहीं, ज्ञानेश कुमार को देना होगा. 

EC का विवाद : विपक्ष के डिजिटल मीडिया को मिला बारूद

चुनाव आयोग की आपसी लड़ाई सामने आई तो विपक्षी नेताओं को जैसे संजीवनी बूटी मिल गई. जो नेता चुनाव हारकर हताश, निराश बैठे थे, उन्हें मसाला मिल गया. ममता बनर्जी, उद्धव ठाकरे और अरविंद केजरीवाल को लगा कि ज्ञानेश कुमार ने किसी का murder किया है..और उन्हें पकड़कर जेल में डाल देना चाहिए. कुछ नेताओं को लगा कि इस बहाने विरोधी दलों के alliance को revive किया जा सकता है. कांग्रेस की समस्या नरेंद्र मोदी हैं. इसीलिए उसने कहा कि ज्ञानेश कुमार मोदी की कठपुतली हैं.

मोटी बात ये है कि इन सारे नेताओं को ये कहने का मौक़ा मिला कि उन्हें चुनाव में जनता ने नहीं हराया, वो तो इलेक्शन कमिशन की वजह से हारे. हालांकि The Indian Express की रिपोर्ट में उल्टा कहा गया है. जैसे, बंगाल में चुनाव आय़ोग के कारनामों से तृणमूल कांग्रेस के जितने उम्मीदवार हारे, लगभग उतने ही बीजेपी के भी हारे. सवाल ये भी पूछा जाएगा कि जिस कांग्रेस ने सुखबीर सिंह संधू को चुनाव आयुक्त नियुक्त किये जाने पर सवाल उठाए थे, आज वो उसके hero कैसे हो गए ? लेकिन अब जो नया narrative खड़ा हुआ है, डिजिटल मीडिया की जंग को जो बारूद मिला है, वो काफ़ी दिन तक शोर मचाने के काम आएगा. 

यूपी चुनाव : क्या योगी कैंपेन में विपक्ष से आगे निकले?

समाजवादी पार्टी के अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव आजकल रोज नए नए चुनावी वादे कर रहे हैं. आज रायबरेली के बछरावां से पीडीए रथयात्रा शुरू की. रायबरेली राहुल गांधी का संसदीय क्षेत्र है. कांग्रेस के साथ समाजवादी पार्टी का गठबंधन है लेकिन अखिलेश ने रथयात्रा शुरू करने से पहले न राहुल गांधी से पूछा, न उन्हें बुलाया. कांग्रेस के नेताओं को ये बात बुरी लगी. सांसद इमरान मसूद ने कहा कि अखिलेश यादव रायबरेली से यात्रा शुरू कर रहे हैं, लेकिन वे याद रखें कि साइकिल का हैंडल पकड़ने के लिए हाथ की जरूरत होती है.

 इमरान मसूद ने कहा कि अगर किसी नेता को ये गलतफहमी है कि वो अकेले बीजेपी को हरा सकता है तो उसका हाल वैसा ही होगा, जैसा ममता बनर्जी और अरविंद केजरीवाल का हुआ.. बसपा प्रमुख मायावती सक्रिय हुईं. उन्होंने एलान कर दिया कि बसपा यूपी, उत्तराखंड और पंजाब में अकेले चुनाव लड़ेगी. मायावती ने अपने दूसरे भतीजे ईशान आनंद को पार्टी का नेशनल कॉर्डिनेटर बना दिया. मायावती हों या अखिलेश, चुनाव से पहले अपना घर संभालने में लगे हैं लेकिन सीएम योगी आदित्यनाथ की रणनीति बिल्कुल अलग है. योगी लगातार नौकरियों के नियुक्ति पत्र बांट रहे हैं, नई स्कीम्स का एलान कर रहे हैं, और इसी बहाने विरोधियों पर वार भी कर रहे हैं. योगी ने उत्तर प्रदेश में भारत टैक्सी एप लॉन्च किया. इसके बाद कृषक समृद्धि योजना का पोर्टल और सेतु ऐप की भी शुरुआत की. किसानों को लोन के चेक सौंपे, ड्राइवर्स को टैक्सी के सर्टिफिकेट दिए और भारत टैक्सी को हरी झंडी दिखाने के बाद उसमें सवार भी हुए. योगी आदित्यनाथ taxi drivers को हरी झंडी दिखा रहे हैं, किसानों को loan दे रहे हैं, निय़ुक्त पत्र बांट रहे हैं लेकिन ये सब करते-करते वह लोगों को पुराने ज़माने की याद दिलाना नहीं भूलते.

अखिलेश यादव ने भी अब लोगों को मकान बनवाने और रोज़गार दिलवाने का वादा करना शुरू किया है पर कांग्रेस से alliance उनके रास्ते में speed breaker बना हुआ है. जहां तक मायावती का सवाल है, वो तो अभी भी अपने परिवार के चक्कर में फंसी हैं. सारा ज़ोर इस बात पर है कि कौन उनके साथ बैठेगा, किसे बोलने का मौक़ा मिलेगा. मायावती को ये समझना पड़ेगा कि अब ज़माना बदल चुका है. अब उन्हें घर से बाहर निकलकर लोगों के बीच जाना पड़ेगा.

रामदेव : मेरी सेहत बिल्कुल ठीक है, झूठी बातें मत फैलाओ 

योगगुरु स्वामी रामदेव कल बहुत नाराज थे. उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले कुछ दिन से उनके खिलाफ तरह तरह के झूठे प्रचार किए जा रहे हैं. कभी कोई उनकी सेहत को लेकर अफवाह फैलाता है, कभी उनके ऑपरेशन के दावे किए जाते हैं, कोई पतंजलि घी की गुणवत्ता पर सवाल उठाता है, ये ठीक नहीं है. स्वामी रामदेव ने कहा कि उन्होंने योग और आयुर्वेद को पूरी दुनिया में फिर से पहचान दिलाई है, बड़ी विदेशी कंपनियों की दुकानें बंद करा दीं, इसलिए उनके खिलाफ साजिश हो रही है.

स्वामी रामदेव ने कहा कि उनका कोई ऑपरेशन नहीं हुआ, उनका दिल, दिमाग, लीवर, किडनी सब ठीक है. दावा किया कि उनके घुटने भी अगले सौ साल तक ठीक रहेंगे, इसलिए वो न तो अफवाहें फैलाने वालों के सामने झुकेंगे, न स्वदेशी का अभियान रोकेंगे. स्वामी रामदेव को लेकर सोशल मीडिया पर रोज़-रोज़ तरह-तरह की बातें देखने-सुनने को मिलती हैं. कोई उन्हें बीमार बताता है, AIIMS में इलाज करवाते दिखाता है. ये सब दिखाने वाले ये भी नहीं सोचते कि हर सुबह बिना नागा स्वामी रामदेव India TV पर live योग show करते दिखाई देते हैं.

पतंजलि के products को लेकर भी कैम्पेन चलाए जाते हैं. ये बात समझ में आती है क्योंकि स्वामी रामदेव ने बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों को टक्कर दी है और कारोबार में इस तरह की rivalry तो होती है लेकिन ये नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि स्वामी रामदेव ने योग विद्या को घर-घर पहुंचाने के लिए बहुत परिश्रम किया. स्वामी रामदेव ने व्यापार में भी सफलता हासिल की लेकिन अगर वो अपनी कमाई का बड़ा हिस्सा गरीब बच्चों को शिक्षा देने में, संस्कार देने में, वेद पुराण पढ़ाने में, सनातन के प्रचार-प्रसार में लगाते हैं तो इसकी तारीफ़ होनी चाहिए.

US President Donald Trump, in his speech at the UN General Assembly openly threatened Iran with “peace or annihilation”. Soon afterwards, Iranian army responded saying “this threat is a sign of strategic desperation”.

It warned Iran will retaliate with “crushing attacks far more severe than earlier”. At the United Nations, after his speech was over, Trump told reporters that US officials had a “very good” three-hour meeting with Iranian leaders and another one will be held in “the very near future”.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in New York. He will be telling the UN General Assembly how US and Israel started the conflict with a wave of aerial attacks on February 28. In his speech, Trump indicated that a deal with Iran might take place after the US elections in November.

At the same time, he said, the US is not running away from war. Trump looked confused during his speech. It is difficult to assess what he wants to say and what he intends to do. Trump bragged as if the US has won the Iran conflict and everything is under control.

The question is, if all is well according to US strategic interest, why did Trump invite leaders from Iran to the US? Trump has carried out several rounds of talks and every time he broke the deal. It is difficult to understand whether he really wants serious talks or not.

If Trump holds talks with Pezeshkian in New York, it will be good and a way can be found out. The entire world wants the Gulf crisis to end and oil tankers must move freely through the Strait of Hormuz. Let supply chains which were broken be revived.

This can happen only when Trump, instead of intimidating Iran, finds a way out with a positive mindset. 

Jamui sexual assault : Why was police sleeping ?

Nandan Yadav, the mastermind of the sexual assault case on a girl in Jamui, Bihar, has been arrested after a “half-encounter” in which he had a bullet in his leg. The other mastermind Hareram Yadav jumped from a hillock, and both his legs had fractures.

Jamui police has nabbed the three juveniles who carried out the sexual assault. Main accused Nandan Yadav had posted the dirty video of sexual assault on social media. This helped the police to close in. If he had not posted the video, the perpetrators would have gone scot-free.

Several girls in Jamui told India TV reporter that Nandan Yadav and his associates must be given exemplary punishment so that no one can commit such acts. Jamui police must stop thumping its back after hitting Nandan Yadav in his leg.

It has now been revealed that he was a hardened criminal, who smuggled and sold liquor in Bihar, and also made dirty videos of sexual assaults to blackmail girls and posted them on social media. He committed similar sexual attacks on several girls in the past and blackmailed many of them.

The question is: how did Jamui police fail to know that Nandan Yadav was doing such heinous acts? This time too, had he not committed the mistake of positing the dirty video, the incident would not have come to light.

The work of police is not only to nab criminals, but also to prevent crimes. Jamui Police failed in its duty. 

Yogi’s politics: Giving jobs, taunting Akhilesh

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath is on a spree distributing job letters to youths. In Lucknow yesterday, he distributed appointment letters to 3,567 youths for the posts of principal, headmaster, lecturer and assistant teacher in government-aided private schools.

Yogi claimed that the exam and selections were done in a transparent and fool-proof manner. He cautioned the new appointees that some of the managements of govt-aided schools may seek bribes from them during joining period. He advised them to contact his office immediately and promised jail to those who seek bribes.

On TGT-PGT candidates sitting on dharna for last 16 days in Prayagraj, Yogi promised action. These candidates are demanding that old rules in which B.Ed. was not compulsory, be applied and fresh ads for 20,000 TGT-PGT posts be issued on the basis of old rules.

The candidates have been saying that it will take them two years to acquire a B.Ed. degree and they would lose this chance. Lakhs of candidates will be affected by new rules. Yogi said, he has instructed his officials to write a letter to NCTE (National Council for Teachers Education) and seek a one-time change in this rule.

In his meetings, Yogi mentions how jobs used to be given through bribes in the past at the recommendations of powerful leaders during previous regime. Yogi has changed the system. At the same time, he loses no time in taunting Akhilesh Yadav and his ‘chacha’ (uncle) Shivpal Singh Yadav.

The rest is being done by Om Prakash Rajbhar who alleged that when jobs were on sale, the task of “counting notes” was given to Shivpal Singh Yadav. Such words cut deep and have a lasting impact.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के मंच से ईरान को धमकी दी. कहा, या तो ईरान शांति का रास्ता अपनाये वरना महाविनाश झेलने के लिए तैयार रहे. इसके फौरन बाद ईरान की सेना ने कहा कि ट्रम्प की धमकी इस बात को दर्शाती है कि अमेरिका की रणनीति एक अंधी गली में प्रवेश कर चुकी है और ईरान की सेना पहले से भी ज़्यादा तेज़ हमलों के साथ जवाब देगी.

अपने भाषण में ईरान को धमकी देने के बाद ट्रम्प ने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि अमेरिकी अधिकारियों की ईरान के नेताओं से UN General Assembly में तीन घंटे तक अच्छी बातचीत हुई है. ट्रम्प ने कहा, एक और बैठक जल्द होगी. उधर ईरान के राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेज़ेश्कियान न्यूयॉर्क पहुंच गये हैं और वो दुनिया को बताएंगे कि अमेरिका और इज़राइल ने कैसे ईरान पर 28 फरवरी से कहर बरपाना शुरू किया.

अपने भाषण में ट्रम्प ने कहा कि उन्हें पूरी उम्मीद है कि नवंबर में अमेरिकी चुनाव के बाद ईरान के साथ डील हो जाएगी. साथ में ये भी कहा कि वो जंग से भाग नहीं रहे हैं. ट्रम्प अपने भाषण के दौरान पूरी तरह कन्फ्यूज्ड दिखे. वो क्या कहना चाहते हैं, क्या करना चाहते हैं, इसका अंदाजा लगाना मुश्किल है. ट्रम्प ने ये जताने की कोशिश की मानो अमेरिका ने ईरान के साथ जंग जीत ली है, .सब कुछ उनके काबू में है लेकिन सवाल ये है कि अगर सब कुछ ठीक है, सब अमेरिका की रणनीति के हिसाब से हो रहा है, तो ट्रम्प ने ईरान के नेताओं को अमेरिका क्यों बुलाया?

ट्रम्प ईरान से इतनी बार बात कर चुके हैं और इतनी बार बात तोड़ चुके हैं कि ये समझना मुश्किल है कि वो बात करना चाहते हैं या नहीं, अगर न्यूयॉर्क में पेज़ेश्कियान के साथ ट्रम्प की बात हुई तो अच्छा होगा, कोई रास्ता निकलेगा. सारी दुनिया यही चाहती है कि खाड़ी का संकट दूर हो, Strait of Hormuz फिर से खुले, तेल टैंकर फिर से तेल पहुंचाना शुरू करें. जहां-जहां सप्लाई चेन टूटी है वो फिर से चालू हो और ये तभी हो सकता है जब ट्रम्प ईरान को धमकाने के बजाये सकारात्मक मन से कोई रास्ता निकालने की कोशिश करें.

जमुई में पाप: पुलिस कहाँ सो रही थी?

  बिहार के जमुई में जिन हैवानों ने एक नाबालिग लड़की के साथ सरेआम बदसलूकी की थी, उनमें से एक अपराधी का हाफ एनकाउंटर हो गया, दूसरे की टांगें टूट गईं. आरोपियों में एक का नाम नंदन यादव और दूसरे का नाम हरेराम यादव है. अपराधियों ने 19 सितम्बर की घटना का वीडियो बनाया और इसे सोशल मीडिया पर सर्कुलेट किया. वीडियो सामने आने पर अपराधियों की पहचान की गई.

अगर नंदन यादव ने वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर न डाला होता तो इस घटना का भी किसी को पता नहीं चलता. जमुई की लड़कियों ने हमारे संवाददाता से कहा कि वो चाहती हैं कि नंदन यादव और उसके साथियों को ऐसी सजा मिले, जिससे भविष्य में कोई ऐसी हरकत करने की हिम्मत न कर सके.

जमुई में जिस पापी के पैर में गोली लगी है, उसको पकड़ने पर पुलिस को ज़्यादा इतराना नहीं चाहिए. अब तो ये सामने आ गया कि वो पेशेवर अपराधी है, राज्य में शराबबंदी है, पर शराब बेचता भी है और पीता भी है, Video बनाता भी है और post भी करता है. उसने पहले भी लड़कियों को उठाने का गुनाह किया है. पहले भी video बनाकर ब्लैकमेल किया है. सवाल ये है कि जब वो ऐसी हरकतें कर रहा था तो पुलिस को पता क्यों नहीं चला ? इस बार भी अगर ये हैवान वीडियो पोस्ट न करता तो उसकी दरिंदगी कभी सामने नहीं आती. पुलिस का काम सिर्फ़ अपराधी को पकड़ना नहीं है, अपराध होने से रोकना भी पुलिस की ज़िम्मेदारी है और इस काम में जमुई की पुलिस पूरी तरह फेल हुई है.

योगी की रणनीति : एक तरफ नौकरी , दूसरी तरफ अखिलेश पर निशाना

उत्तर प्रदेश में सीएम योगी आदित्यनाथ का नौकरी बांटो अभियान जारी है. लखनऊ में कल योगी ने 3,567 युवाओं को नियुक्ति पत्र बांटे, ये लोग उन मिडिल स्कूलों में प्रिंसिपल, हेडमास्टर, लेक्चरर और असिस्टेंट टीचर बनेंगे, जो सरकारी सहायता से चलते हैं. योगी ने कहा कि एक्जाम पास करने वाले नौजवानों को नौकरी सरकार की मेहरबानी से नहीं, अपनी मेहनत से मिली है. सरकार ने पारदर्शिता से काम किया, फूल-प्रूफ सिस्टम बनाया.

योगी जानते हैं कि कहां किस तरह की गड़बड़ी हो सकती है. असल में नियुक्ति पत्र मिलने के बाद युवाओं को जिन स्कूलों में टीचर्स के तौर पर ज्वाइन करना है, वे प्राइवेट स्कूल हैं जो सरकारी सहायता से चलते हैं. इन स्कूलों में टीचर्स की ज्वाइनिंग स्कूल का प्रबंधन कराएगा. योगी को पता है कि प्रबंधन गड़बड़ी कर सकता है, ज्वाइनिंग से पहले इन युवाओं से पैसे मांग सकता है इसीलिए योगी ने इन लोगों को साफ चेतावनी दे दी.

योगी ने कहा कि ज्वाइनिंग के लिए अगर कोई स्कूल प्रबंधक उनसे पैसे मांगे या कोई अफसर परेशान करे तो वो सीधे उनसे शिकायत करें, वो सबको ठीक कर देंगे, सीधे जेल भेजेंगे. योगी ने ऐलान कर दिया कि TGT-PGT के जो उम्मीदवार प्रयागराज में पिछले 16 दिनों से आंदोलन कर रहे हैं, सरकार जल्दी ही उनकी मांग भी पूरी करेगी. प्रयागराज में TGT-PGT उम्मीदवार 5 सितंबर से धरने पर हैं, उनकी मांग है कि TGT-PGT में पुराने नियम लागू किए जाएं. 20 हजार TGT-PGT पदों पर भर्ती का विज्ञापन पुराने नियमों के आधार पर जारी किया जाए. पहले TGT-PGT से जुड़ी कुछ परीक्षाओं में बीएड कंपलसरी नहीं था जो अब कर दिया गया है. छात्रों का कहना है कि बीएड करने में दो साल लगेंगे, इसलिए अगर नये नियम लागू हुए तो लाखों छात्र परीक्षा में नहीं बैठ पाएंगे.

योगी ने कहा कि उन्होंने अफसरों को आदेश दिया है कि वे जल्द नेशनल काउंसिल फॉर टीचर्स एजुकेशन को चिट्ठी लिखें और युवाओं की मांगों को ध्यान में रखते हुए नियमों में बदलाव के लिए कहें. योगी चुनाव प्रचार के साथ साथ समस्याएं भी सुलझा रहे हैं, शिक्षकों की भर्ती में सुधार के लिए नियम बदलवाने में लगे हैं, नौकरियां पाने वालों को बता रहे हैं कि उन्हें किसी को रिश्वत देने की ज़रूरत नहीं है. ये सही है कि एक ज़माने में यूपी में नौकरी पाने के लिए नेताओं की सिफ़ारिश लगानी पड़ती थी. नौकरी के हिसाब से घूस देनी पड़ती थी. योगी ने सिस्टम को बदला तो है, लगे हाथ वो अखिलेश यादव को भी लपेट लेते हैं. इस बार उन्होंने शिवपाल का नंबर लगा दिया और बची-खुची कसर ओपी राजभर ने ये कहकर पूरी कर दी कि जब नौकरी बिकती थी तो cash का हिसाब-किताब शिवपाल ही रखते थे. ऐसी बातें गहरी चोट करती हैं, दूर तक असर करती हैं.

BJP has scored a windfall of gains in the elections to posts of mayors and chairperson of municipal corporations and municipalities. Throwing mathematical calculations to the winds, councillors indulged in massive crossvoting.

Independents changed floors. BJP won six mayoral posts out of seven, and 31 posts of chairmen in 47 Nagar Parishads. BJP managed to install its chairpersons in 162 out of 252 municipalities. Out of 303 civic body results declared, BJP won 198 and Congress only 95 chairperson posts.

Congress wanted to install its candidate as mayor in Ajmer, it packed off independent councillors to a five-star hotel resort in Bengaluru. On return, these independents voted and BJP candidate became the mayor. In three places, the contest was a tie between Congress and BJP.

Candidates from both parties polled same number of votes. Draw of lots took place, and the ‘parchis’ went in favour of BJP in all 3 places. Rajasthan BJP chief Madan Rathore gave the credit of this win to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He said, it was he who chalked out the strategy for a win. There was despondency in the Congress camp.

State Congress chief Govind Dotasara said, Congress has “won in the court of the people”. He alleged BJP resorted to intimidation and inducements. Why did the elections of mayors and civic body chairpersons become so important? Why did the chief minister put in his efforts to score a win? One must try to understand.

Bhajan Lal Sharma was being considered as weak chief minister. His own party leaders used to come to Delhi and warn that if he continued as CM, it will be difficult for BJP to win elections. Bhajan Lal Sharma became the chief minister but he had no experience of running a government. But he is an old hand in the party organization.

During civic body elections, he used his organizational skill to the best of his limits. It is not that the Congress did not make attempts to win. Congress tried hard to protect its councillors, but all efforts proved futile in the face of Bhajan Lal Sharma’s organisational juggernaut. Bhajan Lal Sharma has now consolidated his position as Chief Minister after this victory. He ensured BJP mayors in most of the cities, but the message that has gone out from civic body polls is that Congress is not weak in Rajasthan.

Bhajan Lal Sharma will have to face strong challenges now. He will have to prove that he can run a good government and win the trust of the people through hard work.

UP : Caste politics enters fast mode

BJP formally launched its election preparedness yesterday from Meerut where CM Yogi Adityanath and BJP chief Nitin Nabin addressed a conference of party workers. Yogi cautioned party workers not to get embroiled in caste disputes, stay united and work on the basis of performance.

Yogi alleged, opposition parties are trying to mislead voters by setting new false narratives. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi came to UP and openly offered alliance to Samajwadi Party and Congress, in order to avoid division of opposition votes. He however put a rider. He said, the agreement must be on equitable basis.

SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav rejected Owaisi’s offer. He said, the alliance formation in UP will not change. In other words, Owaisi’s alliance offer stands rejected. Congress MP Imran Masood said, if there is going to be an alliance in UP, why the delay over seat sharing. “The more the delay, the more BJP will benefit”, he said.

In UP, Congress and Samajwadi Party described Owaisi’s AIMIM as the “B-team of BJP”. Their leaders openly alleged that Owaisi comes to divide Muslim votes, thereby indirectly helping the BJP. Owaisi said, he had given a similar offer during Bihar elections to RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav, but he had rejected. It is now for Akhilesh to decide.

Meanwhile, Rajbhar community leader Omprakash Rajbhar has said, UP will be divided soon and a day will come when the son of a Rajbhar caste will be the CM of Purvanchal. Akhilesh Yadav responded saying, Rajbhar has been trying to mislead people at the behest of his patrons in BJP, but his dreams to divide UP will never succeed.

It is an open secret that castes matter a lot in Uttar Pradesh politics. Votes are divided on the basis of castes. Most of the parties prepare their strategies keeping castes in mind. Owaisi is eyeing Muslim voters. Om Prakash Rajbhar wants to unite voters of his caste.

Sanjay Nishad, though a minister, sat on dharna against his own government to gain sympathy of ‘mallah’(boatmen) caste. Akhilesh Yadav is eyeing Yadav and Muslim votes, apart from 21 pc of Dalit votes. That is why he has given the slogan PDA (Pichhda Dalit Alpasankhyak- Backwards, Dalits, Minorities). He even directed that Chhatra Sabha workers should wear blue uniform and a blue ‘gamchha’.

Mayawati had been the influential leader of Dalits for several decades, but of late, she had been tweeting only about her family members. BJP has sniffed opportunity in this. It has started planning to put all efforts to compensate the loss of Dalit votes in UP during the 2024 LS polls.

In the days to come, caste politics in UP will be entering into a fast mode.

राजस्थान के नगर निगमों और नगर पालिकाओं के मेयर और चेयरमैन के चुनाव में बीजेपी ने बाज़ी मार ली. चुनाव में बहुमत का गणित कई जगह धरा का धरा रह गया. कई पार्टियों के अपने ही खेमे के वोट खिसके, तो कहीं निर्दलियों ने पाला बदला. दस नगर निगमों में से सात के नतीजे आए, जिनमें छह पर बीजेपी ने क़ब्ज़ा किया. 47 नगर परिषदों में से 31 पर बीजेपी के उम्मीदवार जीते. 252 नगर पालिकाओं में से 162 में बीजेपी अपना चेयरमैन बनवाने में कामयाब रही.

303 निकायों के परिणाम घोषित हुए, जिनमें भाजपा ने 198 और कांग्रेस ने 95 निकायों में अध्यक्ष पद पर जीत दर्ज की। अजमेर में कांग्रेस को अपना मेयर बनने की पूरी उम्मीद थी, निर्दलियों को बेंगलुरु घुमाया-फिराया, फाइव स्टार होटल में ठहराया और निर्दलियों ने लौट कर बीजेपी को वोट दे दिया. मेयर बीजेपी का बन गया. तीन जगहों पर तो बीजेपी और कांग्रेस का मुकाबला टाई रहा. दोनों के उम्मीदवारों को बराबर वोट मिले लेकिन भाग्य भी बीजेपी के साथ था. तीनों जगह पर्ची निकाल कर मेयर का फैसला हुआ. तीनों जगह बीजेपी के उम्मीदवार के नाम की पर्ची निकली.

राजस्थान बीजेपी अध्यक्ष मदन राठौड़ ने इस जीत का श्रेय मुख्यमंत्री भजन लाल शर्मा को दिया. कहा, उन्होंने ही पूरी रणनीति बनाई, उसका नतीजा सबके सामने है. कांग्रेस के खेमे में मायूसी है. राजस्थान के कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष गोविंद डोटासरा ने कहा कि कांग्रेस जनता की अदालत में जीती है, बीजेपी ने सत्ता की ताकत और पैसे के बल पर चुनाव जीता, .कांग्रेस के पार्षदों को धमकाया. राजस्थान में मेयर के चुनाव इतने महत्वपूर्ण क्यों हो गए ? मुख्यमंत्री ने स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव जीतने के लिए इतनी जान क्यों लगाई ? इसकी वजह समझने की ज़रूरत है. भजन लाल शर्मा को कमज़ोर मुख्यमंत्री बताया जा रहा था. उनकी अपनी पार्टी के लोग दिल्ली आकर कहते थे कि अगर वो CM बने रहे, तो बीजेपी के लिए चुनाव जीतना मुश्किल हो जाएगा.

ये सही है कि भजन लाल शर्मा मुख्यमंत्री तो बन गए लेकिन उनके पास सरकार चलाने का अनुभव नहीं था, पर संगठन के वो पुराने खिलाड़ी हैं. निकाय चुनाव में उन्होंने अपनी संगठन चलाने की क्षमता का पूरा इस्तेमाल किया. ऐसा नहीं है कि कांग्रेस ने कोशिश नहीं की. कांग्रेस ने अपने पार्षदों को बचाए रखने की जी-तोड़ कोशिश की लेकिन भजन लाल शर्मा के सामने ये कोशिश कम पड़ गई. भजन लाल शर्मा ने अपनी कुर्सी तो पक्की कर ली है, ज़्यादातर जगहों पर बीजेपी के मेयर भी बनवा लिए, लेकिन इस चुनाव का एक संदेश ये भी है कि राजस्थान में कांग्रेस कमज़ोर नहीं है. भजन लाल शर्मा को कड़ी चुनौती का सामना करना पड़ेगा. उन्हें अच्छी सरकार चलाकर दिखाना होगा. काम करके लोगों का विश्वास जीतना होगा.

उत्तर प्रदेश : जातियों की सियासत तेज़

बीजेपी ने उत्तर प्रदेश में औपचारिक तौर पर चुनाव की तैयारी शुरू कर दी. योगी आदित्यनाथ ने पार्टी अध्यक्ष नितिन नवीन के साथ मेरठ में आयोजित सम्मेलन में कार्यकर्ताओं से कहा कि जात-पात में नहीं बंटना है, एकजुट रहना है, काम के आधार पर चुनाव लड़ना है. योगी ने कहा, विरोधी दल नये नये झूठे नैरेटिव सेट कर जनता को मायाजाल में फंसाने की कोशिश करते हैं. उधर AIMIM चीफ असदुद्दीन ओवैसी यूपी पहुंच गए. कहा, विपक्ष का वोट न बंटे, इसके लिए वह समाजवादी पार्टी और कांग्रेस से हाथ मिलाने को तैयार हैं लेकिन समझौता बराबरी का होना चाहिए.

ओवैसी ने अखिलेश यादव को अलायंस का ऑफर दिया, लेकिन अखिलेश ने इस ऑफर को खारिज कर दिया. अखिलेश ने कहा कि यूपी में गठबंधन का स्वरूप नहीं बदलेगा. इसका मतलब ये हुआ कि सपा का कांग्रेस के साथ गठबंधन वही रहेगा, ओवैसी के लिए इसमें जगह नहीं है. कांग्रेस सांसद इमरान मसूद ने कहा कि अगर गठबंधन होना है तो सीटों के बंटवारे में देरी क्यों हो रही है? सीट बंटवारे में जितनी देर होगी, बीजेपी को उतना ज्यादा फायदा होगा. अखिलेश यादव भले ही ओवैसी को भाव न दे रहे हों लेकिन ओवैसी की रणनीति बिल्कुल साफ है. ओवैसी का फोकस उन इलाकों में है, जहां मुस्लिम आबादी चुनाव नतीजों पर असर डालती है.

ओवैसी को सपा और कांग्रेस के नेता “बीजेपी की B-टीम” कहते हैं. वो खुलेआम दावा करते हैं कि ओवैसी वोट काटते हैं, बीजेपी को फ़ायदा पहुंचाते हैं. इसी का counter ओवैसी ने किया. उन्होंने अखिलेश यादव को alliance का ऑफर दिया. बिहार में भी ओवैसी ने तेजस्वी यादव से यही कहा था. तेजस्वी को ओवैसी के साथ गठबंधन न करने का नुक़सान हुआ. अब अखिलेश के सामने यही चुनौती है. उधर ओमप्रकाश राजभर ने नया शिगूफा छोड़ दिया. उन्होंने अपनी जाति के लोगों को उनकी ताकत का एहसास कराया. राजभर ने कहा कि आज नहीं तो कल यूपी का बंटवारा होगा और जब होगा तब पूर्वांचल का मुख्यमंत्री राजभर का बेटा ही बनेगा.

राजभर आजकल अखिलेश यादव पर रोज अटैक करते हैं. अखिलेश ने पलटवार किया, कहा कि राजभर अपने आकाओं के कहने पर जनता को बहकाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं लेकिन यूपी को बांटने का ख्वाब कभी पूरा नहीं होगा. सब जानते हैं कि यूपी के चुनाव में जातियों का असर होता है. वोटों का बंटवारा जातियों के आधार पर होता है. इसलिए सभी पार्टियां अपनी अपनी रणनीति के हिसाब से जाति की सियासत कर रही हैं. ओवैसी की नज़र मुस्लिम वोटों पर है. ओमप्रकाश राजभर अपनी जाति के वोटों को एकजुट रखना चाहते हैं. संजय निषाद, मल्लाहों के वोटों के लिए मंत्री होने के बावजूद सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ धरने पर बैठ गए.

अखिलेश यादव की नज़र यादव और मुस्लिम वोटों के अलावा दलितों के 21 परसेंट वोटों पर है. इसीलिए अखिलेश ने PDA का नारा दिया, छात्र सभा की uniform नीली की, अपना गमछा नीला किया. मायावती कई बरस तक दलित समाज की प्रभावी नेता रही हैं लेकिन पिछले कई दिन से वह सिर्फ़ अपने परिवार को लेकर ट्वीट करती हैं, कभी किसी को हटाती हैं, कभी किसी को बनाती हैं. बीजेपी को इसमें अवसर दिखाई दिया. इसीलिए 2024 में हुए दलित वोट के नुक़सान की भरपाई करने के लिए बीजेपी ने भी ताक़त लगाई है. जैसे जैसे चुनाव क़रीब आएंगे, यूपी में जाति की सियासत और तेज़ होगी.
